"Has been a hero to those of us who know his work with the United Kentucky team party for a long time, a hero for Liberty. And truth and justice and the American way and freedom. More than anything else. And we have some updates from the Kentucky legislative session, and it's not good news Got Hofstra. Good afternoon. Thanks for joining us for a few minutes. Oh, thanks for having me on Jerry Jeff. Well, it's not. It's not enough that we can't count on a Republican led legislature, Senate and House in Kentucky to battle against the tyranny of the boy dictator. Governor Andy Bashir. But we also have the courts who are legislating from the bench instead of actually interpreting the law, which is supposed to be their job correct. Absolutely so explain a little bit of what's going on in this legislative session. One hasn't gone on and why. Well, unfortunately, the Republican Party is the Republican leadership. Let me back that up in the Legislature has kind of turned chicken on everybody. There was a house bill put together too late. That would have put our kids back in school, and it looked like it was gonna be a decent bill, and the way it was written turned out very badly, so there were two amendments proposed to it by Republicans. Also, those amendments were shot down, and they passed it with a separate amendment yesterday in the Senate, But I'm sorry in the house and now goes to the Senate, but it would allow the school's basically to keep our kids out of school for another year, including this year, and the Republican leadership was pushing this Don't get that well when when the science says that kids can safely where even the CDC said kids can safely returned to school. Without kids or teachers being vaccinated. So what's the problem in Kentucky? I don't know. I like to keep the legislatures of legislators and the leadership are more afraid of the k A than they are of the parents. They're more influenced by K a than they are by the teachers union. Yeah, absolutely on by. I don't know why they hold that much weight with these legislators, But they certainly do. And this bill taters to them caters to the Cayuga and being able to keep our schools closed for me. You know where Scott think about it? The reason that Andy Bashir's in office is part and parcel because of the Kentucky Teachers Union. Yeah, that's that's true and public employees unions, So they're just looking at that. And go on. Well, if they can, if they could band together and make sure a governor gets elected than our seats may be in jeopardy. Yes, but that's where I have a problem when your legislator and you're more concerned about keeping your seat than you are about doing what's right for the people. You're in that job for the wrong reasons. I agree. Wholeheartedly. What else is going on? Um, there's a House House Joint Resolution H. J. R 77 that was introduced by House Majority Speaker Osborne, Republican. That would ratify all of Bashir's executive orders related to covet 19 and supposedly would declare that the order's expired 30 days from the passage of the resolution. However, I've talked to several legislators and said I am my understanding is that you? Joint resolutions are non binding, and I've had several legislators say yes, they're not binding a couple. Others say no. They are buying another couple of hours. I talked to said We really don't know. So why don't they know exactly? But then I was just said it's just a framework for other things will show us what the what the other things on That's why we don't trust these Republicans and leadership. You're playing games behind the scenes and I should wait for what they're doing. People of Kentucky If your resident the Commonwealth is I am is Scott is and you're hearing this. Contact your representative. And if you don't know who they are, then you're part of the problem yourself. What about this judge in Franklin County who basically set aside legislation. That the Legislature had passed. Well, yeah, I don't get that when the Legislature passes a law that is constitutional, and then a circuit court judge steps in and says no. I'm gonna put a stay on that new law. On what basis It's not unconstitutional. So what's your basis of the judge for putting a stay? I'm along. Um, I don't understand that he is a liberal activist judge. He ruled every ruling against Governor Bevin when he was in office, and he's in this year's pocket. What's it? What's his name? Oh, you'd ask in front of number of top of my head. That's all right. Franklin County District Court. Yes, sir. All right. It's close enough we can. We can track that down well in a minute. We've got left Scott anything else on the horizon? And he said When is the Legislature conclude their session? The Legislature concludes on March Blue to 26. Actually, the last day the Senate die is the 30th of March. This is a 30 Day session. We have 11 days to go, and they still haven't passed the budget, So they've got a lot of work to do in this last 11 days. It will be interesting to see how many of these bills actually get through. So they're basically rubber stamping Bashir's ultimate power as the boy dictator, and they're not. They can't even pass a budget and absolutely and when too late passed in the House yesterday, legislators were asked you. Why did you vote for this bad bill and several of them said Well, we were duped. We were misinformed or by who will buy your own leadership. Well, that tells me they're not reading the bills. They're just rubber stamping. Want leadership tells him, uh, Kentucky and take note. Remember this the next time you go vote Please don't have a short memory. All right, Scott. "Really good against the Cowboys and Matt in Cincinnati and many others and jacking California the people's Republican California. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham showing Jack How are you? Well, fine. Thanks, Bill. I want to talk tonight about the seemingly unlimited powers of emergency orders. Especially in light of these curfews. How about that? I do have a curfew in California. Gotta be home by 10 O'clock Pacific time. Yes. 10 to 5 here in Ohio. I gotta be home by 10 o'clock. I'm breaking curfew. But I guess I'm working and there's no reason to have a curfew. It is stupid, his government power that has no impact on the problem itself. And this thing's gonna work itself out beginning your view on what Governor Newsome is doing to the people of California. It's unconstitutional or go to court and prove it. Robert approval right now. Why are you all right? Are you a justice? No. Okay, Well, you got to go to court. And when you go to court, you generally lose in Kentucky. Andy Bashir did the same kind of stuff. He goes to all the way up to the Kentucky Supreme Court and they ruled. Guess what he has the power to do it. And so I don't know. You know, I thought we had a constitutional republic, Jack, but instead we have emergency orders that are appealed to the court system. You don't get respite there because they're not equipped to handle it. You have a fraudulent presidential election in which the court system is not set up to handle it because it is too quick to be sworn in for the next president. So they dismiss everything. And I think that's the answer. Let's go to mark in Missouri Market, Missouri. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show. Mark, How are you? Oh, building that didn't forget you're right. This is the biggest heist in U. S history. Yes. Other elections have been stolen, including probably the 1960 election. But we're talking a few 1000 votes in Chicago in Texas. But this is probably millions of votes. You're right. It's Donald Trump, who got 80 million votes of Sidney Powell was saying that I mean the death of corruption here is just amazing. We had six states stopped counting at a same time and troop had insurmountable leads in those six states. And then the next day, we find that most of them had disappeared. And like you say in these graphs they show in the middle of night. There's a spike for Joe Biden and like you were saying all those ballots that built it just for Joe Biden. This is obvious evidence. I mean, all these Republican legislators cannot be presented to them and can they not decide to go to in Michigan? I went to talk with the president came back and said, Look, we're going to certify the election, which will be done tomorrow. Monday or Tuesday. Then once it's certified, you can you can object to it. But if you count again and again and again illegal ballots, get the same number anyway. Mean recounts kind of stupid. Work with, but one of the Georgia was a joke. I mean, it just kind of the same, but they didn't even Yeah, They even admitted that that that you weren't going to cap the recounted votes anyway. They were going to use the original cat. It's just ridiculous. And in Wisconsin They had a 90% turnout claims it possible that never happens in Australia. It's required to vote and they don't even get that there had been constant, the highest ever upto. This point was like 67%, they get 91% turnout. That's not preventable. I've had such a big leader that they had to come up with all those votes in the middle of night Min effect. They as others are saying these Dominion they had program supposedly That do you swear the election, But his lead was so big. They had they panicked, and they had a critical venture vote. So this is this is just like a true This is the continuation of the coup of the Russian collusion of the impeachment is a fraud election and I have no doubt that Obama, Hilary Sorrows China are all behind this. It's It's just a continuation of it. It's it's been planned from beginning and I say this if, if in 2016 I think the election was on November. The 8 26, I think was the eighth. But but the next day on the ninth of November, if they would have known Trump was gonna win, he won No one in 2016. They would have let him win. This is crazy. This the United States of America, we can have a free and fair election, even something even close. I mean, this is not even close. This is not like a few dead people voting. This is a massive assault on our freedom and on the election's in six and probably more states. In all of thing is that this information could be in the public. There's nothing that can be done about it within the next three weeks. I mean, it wasn't media's not curious because their guy won And God help the Supreme Court. They based decisions upon constitutional law Upon the record. The record, which is the trial cannot be developed ahead of time for the for them to review what happened. "You're listening to all things considered. I'm Sasha Pfeiffer in Cambridge, Massachusetts. And I Maudie Cornish in Washington. For months, the family and friends of Briana Taylor have been telling the public to say her name to remember the black woman killed in a police raid on her home in Louisville, Kentucky. Today. Another refrain has emerged released the transcripts after a grand jury declined to charge any officers for the actual shooting of Rianna Taylor. Protesters are now demanding evidence for this decision to see just what the Kentucky attorney general argued to the grand jury. One person calling for the release of court transcripts is Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir is a Democrat. Earlier today we asked him if he believes the grand jury was misled what has happened in a very long investigation. And ultimately, a grand jury proceeding here is that people haven't seen the basic facts They've been told, for instance, about to ballistics reports if they've been described to the people, let the people see them and read them. I believe that what we have right now is a vacuum out there and we oftentimes when there's a vacuum of information, your emotions, your frustrations and others. I can fill that vacuum. Let's give people the basic information, the facts and the truth and trust them with it. How would that change things? I mean, after 191 days of protests Is the issue really more about culpability, accountability and what people perceive as justice. Well, I believe in the specific incident that that people want to see and be able to judge the facts for themselves. Now, obviously, the call's being made in Louisville and around the country are about more than just this individual case and for May It's important that I start with humility, knowing that I could never feel the frustration of 400 years of slavery of segregation of Jim Crow, but that my job governor can be so listen to try to here and then to be committed to making sure that our future is better than our past. But as governor, you do have some powers. What legal recourse could you take? If you were interested in doing so, What legislative recourse could you take, if interested in doing so? What I ask Governor. You're right. My I'm limited on what I can do in this specific matter and the actual justice system itself. But what I can do is be committed to addressing inequalities that exist in just about every part of our society. And we hold on one second. There are rules and regulations around police use of force. Could you not have an influence there if you believe that was necessary? We are currently talking to both members of our black legislative caucus to police and two others about reforms about changes about improvements. I think any time that a tragedy occurs if we do not change the way we do things in the future, Shame on us. Is there anything in particular you feel supported off? Well, we've certainly instituted changes in in our officer training that impact most of the state. I believe that we have to look at warrants and no knock warrants about when they could be issued and by whom they should be carried out. I think we need to look at the planning of various operations and make sure that no part Is ever an afterthought. At the end of the day, someone's life was lost, and we have got to do everything we can in the future to make sure something like that never happens again. Are you dealing with the FBI or reaching out to the FBI about its federal civil rights investigation? Well, The FBI operates pretty independently but we have been in contact with the U. S attorney and know that that investigation is proceeding. But I don't believe that that investigation touches on much of what the attorney general was looking at, and therefore I believe that the underlying evidence can and should be released. I was a prosecutor. I was the former attorney general. I believe at this point that that is allowable and that the public should know and again. Just trust the people of America with the truth. We're looking at 190 plus days of protest so far in the last two days, Louisville a police have arrested over 150 people. Obviously, two officers at one point were shot. You called in the National Guard to support police. Do you believe that These actions are necessary? But I do believe these actions are necessary. And what we saw the other night in the shooting of two police officers, is that 99.99%. Of people who are out are giving voice to frustrations. And I support that First amendment, right? But we also see is it just takes one person wanting to do the wrong thing tomorrow? What is otherwise a peaceful protests. We also see militia groups coming in to Kentucky and into Louisville that would like nothing more than to cause violence between multiple groups that they do not like. So when I made that call for the National Guard, it is a limited operation. It's in an effort to keep everybody safe and some of our critical infrastructure functioning. For instance, our hospitals So I do hope that people out there know that. When I make that deployment, it is because I want to make sure that everyone is safe, but that everyone can still express themselves. Governor. Thank you so much for speaking with us. Thank you very much. That's Kentucky's Democratic governor, Andy Bashir. There are now 10 Corona virus vaccines in the final phase of testing around the world. A vaccine candidate from the US company Novavax became the 10th yesterday when the company announced it will enroll 10,000 volunteers in the United Kingdom to test its vaccine and phase three trials. Dr. Gregory Glenn is president of research and development at Novavax. And he joins me now, Doctor Glen. Welcome. Thank you. Why did you choose the UK Fear vaccine trial, especially rather than here in the U. S. Where Novak's based. We went to the UK because they have a very good trial network, and we felt that the tax rate would be high. The transmission would zoom up in the wintertime, which it looks like it's going to do. And the UK infection rate zooming up as you put it is a good thing for you because you're looking for places in the world where a lot of people are infected and your vaccine might work on them. Exactly The way it happens in the trial is you need cases, right? So you obviously couldn't prove anything. If there are no cases, the more cases in your trial setting, the faster you accumulate. That evidence that the vaccine works so not great for the UK that the infection rate is high. Good for you and your vaccine trial. Yes, Unfortunately, that is the situation with people who work in infectious diseases. We like to be around illness is unfortunately, that's where the action is to prove that these vaccines work. Does Nova fax have plans to eventually do vaccine trials in the U. S? Yes. So we expect to start the US trial in a few weeks. So that would be you know about 150 sites of 30,000 person trial. We're you know, we're very fixed and focused on getting that trial started and doing, you know doing it. Well, what's your best estimate of wind? A Novavax. US vaccine trial might start mid October. A real family soon very soon. Yes. Dr. Glenn, the CEO of Novavax was one of nine pharmaceutical executives who came together to reassure the public in a published statement that their vaccines will be safe and effective. What a rush job that would potentially harm anyone's health. It is stunning in a way that they would feel they have to do that. Look, I have mixed feelings because our M O here is to be transparent. We know the FDA is they have a formula. That they're not going to deviate from, so I don't think that there's going to be any chance that there's going to be some shortcut made..
