In kabul we had to replace the battery and organiz the passengers to get them on the correct manifest list confusion because another aircraft on the ramp had Important passengers heading to another destination and all the names were written apparently in to which none of us speak but we had to get all of those names translated and all of the documents translated anyway. The aircraft took off after sitting on the ramp. It was fully loaded. We finally got the permission from the state department We will Says i can't talk about that Our biggest obstacle remains the state department and the white house We have senior officials. Dot gonna say where. I'm not gonna read the thad. Tensions outside of the gate extremely high people are on top of each other. The taliban continues to obstruct at every turn lots of concern today over. Iab's going off outside of the gate contrary to popular knowledge. The taliban and isis hate each other and isis wants the taliban to suffer and may do so via some sort of attack at the gates that way they can blame it on the taliban personally i i can't wait until we're all out of there so they can just kill each other. It would be fantastic if they would just spend the time you know. Thinning the herd of bad guys. I i welcome them unlike other administrations. I don't think we should arm them. But maybe that's just me we will try to give you an update as Things begin to move I know i can confirm that. Seven hundred of christians. Yes of course but andrew cuomo's also gone goodbye. andy andrew. Cuomo is officially out of office. The long new york based nightmare is over. He wrote today said i. I hereby tender my resignation for the office of governor of the state of new york. This resignation will be effective at midnight which is already passed this past midnight. August twenty fourth. Two thousand twenty one. It has been my pleasure to serve with you both. It really has been our pleasure. Hasn't watching andrew cuomo flail through the past. How long has it been ten years of being governor. He wanted another term. He wanted to outdo his father. That was his big goal to get to his fourth term. As governor of new york. He did not succeed. In fact he didn't even equal his father who actually lasted his full three terms now. Andrew cuomo of course is made news as he's gone out of office says he typically does cuomo who had been staying with his sisters in westchester county. Recently had asked staff members the executive mansion if anyone would like to keep his dog captain who has remained at the state owned residents after the governor moved out last week. Now typically when you move out of your home you bring the dog with you. I mean. I think that's the normal way of doing things. And if you're gonna go live with your sister that maybe you bring your dog with you. Maybe your sister takes care of it. But apparently they. He left at the mansion. Now this is coming from to state. Police police sources through the albany times union. They said that the governor had mentioned staff members if anyone would be interested in caring for the dog apparently he had nipped a few people over the years and was a little bit of a problem. Of course obviously quo denied this. Because that's what cuomo does when anyone criticizes him about anything he just denies it in acts as if you're crazy for asking. He has denied it and through initially a spokesperson a person who is all over the report about how he abused women. He came out and said al. Come on this is ally..

Freeport blends in tow Wallman because around so basically the cup around The store on the backside. Hey, I was telling this to Callum off here, but in this kind of hinted to it on there. Don't worry about the roads. Just look for the big hole sign that, says a hardware with the arrow pointing down Because you don't even need that 19 380. You don't need a GPS for this. Just look for the big sign. It is huge. It's enormous. It's a big billboard and is smart on their part to invest in that So if you know you're coming to get chance on the book, I want to get you the free goody that goes with that. But you got to be on the V I P list first you'll call Callum. I didn't introduce him last break. Here we go. Callum still with us for a while, especially on Saturdays. I think we'll have Andy Andrew. "Tap dance on our show. That's something that we're really dedicated to an American art form. We like to see it thrive. Bugle Boy Andy Andrews sisters numbers are always really popular. We've been working in a lot of fancy Sinatra stuff from the sixties lately, a lot of debts. We've been doing a lot of patriotic music. We do the fight songs at the end and plastics for movies, something we've been working in a step from singing in the Rain and gentlemen relies on some, like all those classic Movie musicals were working Those numbers and four show kind of reimagined by our artists. I have a shameful clothes in our closet way, probably hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dresses, most of which have been donated to us by amazing designers. Such a beauty. No, I'm forgetting some clothing. Some in the beginning is a little girl. So a lot of people very supportive of us. That's usually where we get our clothes and honestly, stores. Thank you guys. So much for having me and Julia Reed Nichols tour and if you want to find out more isn't US online. Thank you so much to say, What a great.

"They're gonNA still be traveling town to town to town to town to play these games, which is kind of wild kind of Wile E, that's. I mean so far Bundesliga and Premier League have continued to make it work despite outbreaks the they're still travelling around, but it's really hard to compare a league in. Great Britain to a league that spread out across the continental us. I guess I just for C- Talking about this possible resurgence at the end of September October timeframe. And I just see the getting to the playoffs in the playoffs, getting Kabosh because of. Virus implications. That's why I say I don't know if it will go. If they start the season. Unless something really really bad happens. They will play the playoffs. The playoffs are the one thing that that's almost guaranteed to happen. Because that's where the owners make one hundred percent of the profits have no obligation to sharing it with the players. Whereas their contracts and things that they signed for the regular season. They have to share that money. So if the owners start a season and they're worried that the season might not have a full playoff run. My guess is that they would end the season early to start the playoffs early if that makes sense. Yes I. Guess I'm looking at governmental influence into that. we'll see I mean. The government had no influence over them shutting down the first time. So. Wait, so of course of if like Texas is a lot of people, the giants might appeal unhappy people. Is that an owner decision, or is that like a steak local ordinance? Not, even State It's local ordinance to like. The Rangers may be allowed to have fans and. The Astros may not be. Allowed, to have fans. So I'm here, the giants might not be allowed to have fans, but the as could have fans possibly in a weird universe. Theoretically I mean if Oakland change their their ordinances before San Francisco, did yes. Everybody listening at home. The Houston Astros cheated the Yankees cheated. Thank you. That's all I can. Get the because. covid nineteen, I don't want anybody to forget the fact that that all right gases cheated they stole from the game, and by the way Rob Manfred. My favorite, a man or my favorite league organizer in all of Sports, coming into the pandemic. Now my least favorite, he referred to the trophy, he referred to the world series trophy trophy as a piece of metal. Jackass. Anyway another baseball news. The Chinese president of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi told Andy Andrew Bet beggarly of the athletic that he anticipates a reduced volume of player transactions during the two thousand twenty season, both for his club as well as other clubs around the game. I don't know if you guys paid too much attention..

Everyone's going I know you're you're gonNA give me that look but come on Denny. Yeah Oh yeah yeah yeah for sure. Oh that's good Matt Fratton yes Nixon. Even he's as the Knicks looks at me he goes. Here's a name from in the past Matt Fratton and I'm like where did that. Come on top of my head off. Oh Yeah Yeah for sure. That's a good one. Yeah you you could say Daniel. Don't call me Dan. Portillo feels like kicking a guy when he's down down though I'm not looking to pick any fights. Oh No no no certainly not Jeff Schultz like Jeff Shoals. He played wait a couple of big games in two thousand thirteen fourteen. Fourteen figures Jamie mcbain the wind. I liked mcbain. David Vander Gulick David. Banner like one hundred percent. I mean honest like joked earlier. That might not even I promise you. Vander garlic's mom. Tom Doesn't know who it is. That's a that's a home alone situation. Vandalism good names Christopher as for stieg yeah I one of his sticks at home. Yeah and to your point not toby reader but toby reader. That's the other guy. Darcy Kemper no no no from last year that you and Carlin would fight about him. Oh Yeah one hundred percent Mark Andre Kliesch. Yeah yes throwback jerseys who was the guy that had last year the Russian the Russian. Yeah they claimed off waivers from Tampa wasn't I don't remember and make me look up this dumb player no offense to this player in his career Oh Nikita sure but that's the one that's him. Carl Haglund I mean. That wasn't his fault. Though I was saying they traded for him he showed up. He did his work and then they traded him Freddie Modine actually I liked. I liked helping to like. There's a couple of guys they brought in help. Alfred uh his pants at home. Oh there's a story. There's pants his hockey pants. I mean look the goalie list alone right like oh I mean. Although actually was the was the decade before this where they had. Yeah not this second. Yeah Yeah pretty quick. Yeah a bunch of good backup Martin. Joan Yeah Bernie Yup Yup Yup Yup who else I mean Oh and Bishop Yeah Darcy Camper Camper was at least yeah productive. While he was here doesn't how many times how many games has been bishop. goalies have been good here. Yes yeah five. Five years tenure net. Before that. That's the real reason I bring that up because this is the sort of thing that when I used to write for the Royal Half Dot com you Takafuji. This is the sort of thing that we would. This is our bread and butter. Daniel Taylor and I see you're right but I went on record at the time when he and quick were. Both Berry Bros Roster bust but this is. The kind of this conversation shouldn't be happening on this podcast. There should be somebody out somebody somebody out there. Oh who was his partner the other one none of the other one. The one with the METALLICA helmet But but this is my I put. I put it on twitter. This is my challenge. Anybody listening in anybody falls Manzar. Don't well don't wait for me and Dave to have our producer to have this conversation This kind of stuff that that kings twitter and kings vans need right. There's there's already there's three or four or five or six accounts and they're all equally supportive cocaine. That's fine. Yeah dig deep into the misery of being a sports fan King Sans. We've just completed the greatest decade in franchise. History it's going to. It's a tall order to have a better decade gate them the one we just had Adam Hauser all. That's that is a good one. How many games twelve one all right there you go you? He gave him eleven too many Ou six goals against he doesn't point zero eight goals get him quick and wasn't him. Quick and Taylor and people are fighting over who should be the starter because it wasn't two thousand eight two thousand nine that now five to okay. I was a little bit earlier but anyway yeah he used stability with me played against him in squirts. Really wow human. His brother Sylvian CUCCIA. Who was unbelievable and unbelievable hockey player? Well that's okay. So I went went to his brother surveying was set our house when they came to play us. He's from Sault Sainte Marie Ontario and then we would go to saint. This is one of ten and we would go to sue St Marie and stay with his family and we used to watch hockey night in Canada and they have it on in French. And so that's the memory ahead of Dan Colucci better memory than most kings. Ah John Sebastian Ban. Wasn't he in a commercial. Eric Harrisburg airstrip is all right. Yeah no it wasn't in the In the commercial whether like having some sort of a yeah contests contests you'll mama offers anyway. Whatever so we go to this game sting wrapping stingrays were so bears? There's none of this and this is why I now hold on Jon Klemm. I think you know your junk clatters. I like all right. The point is none of those guys could shoot and you could tell really quickly like. Oh yeah this is. Why they're in the east and Brodsky's little brother? I think it was. His little brother was playing on the solar bears. And I'm watching the game and it's like back and forth back and forth to sooners some lumbering goons. That are never going to make it but some guys like some wheels is the hands but they just. They don't have the full package. No Yeah Yeah. They've got one or two things but it was so clear right you watch the H. L.. Sometimes you're like Oh Martin. I play Mary okay. Fine whatever follow back from whatever. The Easy H.. Jelly like wow. This is thirty. Might get a maybe a like a call up because of an injury. There'd have to be like a string. Yeah Yeah so anyway. Best of luck to everybody on the Orlando. Celebrate or something. Yeah sure of singer. Jonathan quick did start off in the look. You GotTa do what you gotTa do writing royal and Marcus Phillips Down there right now but played some games with Antero right anyway. Now we are going to wrap it up happy. It decades Kingston's happy ten last year. It's twenty twenty moving onward and upward and nothing but positive for the king's future. That's right right Jesse. "Bestselling author my good friend Andy Andrews. By the New York Times reporter as someone who is quietly, become one of the most influential people in America. That's strange. I never thought of you is quiet. Quitely become that you're just like who's this guy? That's very quiet. Perfect new book out called the bottom of the pool since can like horror movie I was wondering. Gonna talk. Yeah. Subtitle thinking beyond your boundaries to achieve extraordinary results. So a childhood game that's the focus of the bottom of the pool. Talk about that. A little kid. They used to drop the pool drop. Kids believe mall day. We stayed all summer. You get tired of Marco Polo and, and, you know, blue Rover which is just like red Rover accepted in the water so we made up earn game dolphin flipper was a big deal. Remember flipper don't notice a wet suit. Same thing. And we created our own game, which we call dolphin we go to the middle of the deep end and circle up and tread water and one by one people go in the middle and try to do what flip or did come out of the water and the game was to see who could get the highest. We had this kid who was always winning. His name is Aaron Perry. One all the time he was bigger than us older than us. Big feet became. He could grab water, you really get out, anyone so much that we almost got sick of it almost everybody almost quit until the day that my best friend. Kevin Perkins actually destroyed him. It was just a beautiful thing day because legendary fool unbelieva because we're out there and we've done this day after day nervous tired, and we've watched Aaron trying to figure out how does hands Kevin gets out. Errands, already taken turn ori- knows we're already beaten. But then Kevin goes, are you ready, go sure you're yes, please just go. And he goes down instead of up. He's doing down treading water. We're trying to figure out what what is he doing down there? And he goes all the way to the bottom and squat down before we knew he pushes against the bottom, and he comes rocketing through the top to water. Dolphin king. I mean we're just like out of her. Delirious, of course immediately Aaron and his little toadies cheated. Where's the rule? This says you can't go down before you go up. Okay. You know it's not it's not. So we can we can all do that now. And everybody started doing it. And soon Aaron was winning again. But Kevin was always the legend about this for years, because I thought, you know, we're the only place play in this as a little kid, so conceivably. We're the best often players on the planet and Aaron is the best of all of us. And if you'd ask us, then are you doing the best you can do to beat them doing the best you can sit? Yes, we're doing the best we could do in what we didn't know is that there was another level because we were doing this. We could do, but we weren't doing the best that could be done. It is very curious to me as I thought about it. That we do. Do we were trying to look at? How did it? And we try to do it like him. And we, we really worked hard. It was up how to do it. Everybody knew how to do it. At least it was obvious. Until one kid went down instead of up, and then everything that had been so obvious wouldn't even true. And I began to find as an adult. That there is value in looking outside that industry standard. There is a way people do things is the best practice. We know what to do it. Okay. You can get good results. In fact, there's a book called good to great. You can get great results doing it like everybody's doing it. But if you would rather ignore good. Great and go good to best, you better do some different than everybody else is doing. And I have found over and over. There is a way to think to the bottom of the pool to the foundation. It's until you get to that foundation, play your feet against that berm foundation that concrete, you could never harness all the power there. What happens is people go along along. And if you get that comfort zone, get lulled to sleep. You don't have any reason to go to the bottom, right? You don't have any reason to do something different. And so the enemy of the best is very seldom. The is very seldom the worst. That's right. You're going to do something different this, exactly the enemy. The best is good enough. That's right, because good enough to just go along with good enough good enough, good enough, and you hear somebody so and so had a breakthrough in their physical health. They had a breakthrough in their business that breakthrough in their career breakthrough in their marriage that breakthrough in their finances, and what it was, I did something radically different than not only that they have been doing, but then was quote normal. That's exactly right. What a Great Lakes. And, and that, that breakthrough seem so radical to everybody because nobody ever seen a breakthrough like that because you're right. They did something so different. I think sometimes the hardest people to work with. A lot of people. But the hardest people to work with people who have had a great deal of success in her doing fine, because, you know, they get from success, only the fear of losing it, you know, and you're stuck then because I'm can't put all this at risk to get air. Can't put it at risk. Right. Wonder sometimes? And that's one thing I would like to say to people, I don't think you have to put everything at risk, right? Edmore cast to the fire you have. And so, but but doing something. Hugely different to how you get the bottom. What do you what do you ask yourself that causes you to color outside the lines like that thought process in the easy way to explain it is to explain it with the, the simple question? Why in most people ask why when something's wrong this is not working? Like, why are we having a problem? And then when they get the answer, and it's fine again, they could ask in why. All right now, there's a way to go to the bottom of the booth. Why by continuing to ask why when things are working? Why is this working like it is, why is this working so well on Thursdays, and all of a sudden you begin to understand aspects of a principle that nobody knows there's tons of people who understand the principal know how to use it. But in to, you know why it works as it does, you'll never be able to use it in other areas than everybody else's used it forever. In the other way of, of using that why is to take it down those people. Stop when they get an answer, you know, why, why is this happen to like it is, well, it's just because it's, it's like it's like what the answer to your question is ask why again until there is nowhere else to go. And you'll know you're at the bottom, you're a little boy that I always ask why about everything? Went over to the point. It's knowing our parents knock it out of it. So we don't do it anymore. But you can I if you said, why is this not working like it used to well, times have changed? Oh, yeah. Okay. Well, that's it. And even people go another level go, you know way, meantime, they've changed. Why if times change well is just weird different people different technology. Okay. And people just stop there. But whatever it is, you can take it to the bottom of the pool, and you find answers that nobody else find because everybody else played on the two rocket above.

And then miraculously made the jump to the Washington Post. She's a dedicated Democratic Party apparatchik kind of cute. And she's sitting there on the set of morning joke when guess what she said about the new democrat investigation in the house of representatives that Jerrold Nadler has just launched. I think we need to look at this as an insurance policy. This is insurance in Muller's investigation has been pretty limited and stroke investigate castle protested yesterday during a press conference, I think at the end of the day people are realizing that this is really about the president's.

"Twenty nineteen is gonna be a cold week morning to you Michael Riedel, happy anniversary happy anniversary that we get each other. We exchange gifts anything now. I didn't even know it was the anniversary of our show. What does the first anniversary gift is a paper lead? Bourbon in the morning. Big slip. This our first anniversary folks boy that went fast, Joe zoom, bang, just pay. No attention. Video. Dear John, I wish gambling's would come back. Those were the days. I I very much enjoy working with you guys you liar. The same thing to Todd Schnitt. Ooh. Three stories. Him. Yeah. Yeah. Can I move along? Please daddy say, please. Now, our big three stories they're coming after everyone Eighty-one letters, go out from the House Judiciary committee, targeting the president's orbit people and organizations. Just oversight failed to do. Also in the big three. Hey, this is devastating news for Michael. You're not gonna have Hillary Clinton to kick around anymore. She says she's not a candidate for president in two thousand twenty well thinks he's telling the truth Lisbeth one will do user. Now that I think about Elizabeth Warren, I'm nostalgic for Hillary Clinton because Elizabeth wards even more dangerous. Rounding out the big three. We do have the death of nine hundred one actor Luke Perry from a stroke. He was just fifty two years old now coming up at eight thirty this morning. We have tickets to see Peter Frampton. This is farewell tour Madison Square Garden September the thirteenth. We've got your tickets. That was the. That was the clip you had to guess from yesterday. So right at eight thirty we'll have a brand new clip will play it for, you know, we'll play name that tune that if you're the first person who calls in and you got it then you're gonna go see the Peter Frampton in concert. Peter Frampton great. So as you see this list of eighty one people and organizations, I will tell you. There's a lot of people. I don't know. I, you know. For example. You know, Andy Andrew in trader is do you know who any Donaldson is is his cO, you know, any of these people in this is called a witch hunt calls oversight. We are going to investigate until we find some know President Obama says someone who really knows what they're talking about. Okay. Alex custody. Janos ABC news political analyst in Washington joins us every week this time, so Alex witch hunt or just standard oversight, which the Republicans failed to do the last two years. Happy halloween. Lynn. Same to you. It's a witch hunt. Look, I think the Democrats have a new strategy Pelosi and Schumer understand that peak cost of impeachment is going up. There's no smoking gun from molar apparently. So what are they doing? They're throwing everything against the wall. They're trying to satisfy the radical element in their party that they're going after Donald Trump by broadening all these investigations having ten committees investigating. So they don't have to impeach him. I don't know that that's going to work. There may be too much pressure on the Democratic Party to impeach Donald Trump. But right now, it's getting close to the twenty twenty elections. The Democrats are soon risking taking power away from voters to they're going to have to leave it to voters to impeach Donald Trump a house, you know, who these people I'm looking at the list of eighty one people in organizations, and obviously there's people like Trump junior, and Eric Trump, and Roger stone, and Manafort and usual suspects, even Jeff Sessions is on here hope Hicks, but Andrew in trader Anne Donaldson Columbus Nova, do you know, these people? I think they work in a massage parlor. Nine. Right now, it's who are looking for any club to beat Donald Trump with and the reason is usually full politicians respond to voters democratic establishment. Now, he's not responding to their voters. They're they're trying to keep their own children. The new young generation of radical Democrats from eating the old leadership. Actually, they're just looking for anybody to put in front of the American people. Hey, don't we're as radical as you are. But let's not impeach Donald Trump. So Alex, how does Trump play this out? What is his strategy? Well. He is running against the Democratic Party. That is very self involved self interested is, you know, the too fat guys fighting over a ham sandwiches stood up talking about what's good for the American people are very dour small and petty Democratic Party. I used to put a question on surveys, which campaign is having the most fun. Yeah. Always that's the one that win. And that's certainly Donald Trump today. You saw that at CPAC, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. And and the Democrats were sponsors Ohio to have more respect for the flag than that. Oh my God. What a cold boulevard meal, and the damn ship konczal, crazy left. It is this is a campaign between choose greatness and make America great again and socialism in Venezuela. Donald Trump's going to his response is gonna work. And what do you make the senate's gonna vote? It could be today in the next few days to vote no on the national emergency. The house has already voted there enough Republicans who will vote it down. So we make of both houses of congress rebuking the president's national emergency. It's a free throw for Republicans in the Senate. They can say therefore border's secured. But the constitutional power separation of powers should be preserved. And so they get to vote against Trump and four Trump at the same time. And gee, what a surprise the Senate thinks that any diminishment of their powers bad thing who knew and it'll have very little impact on Trump. You'll charge right ahead. Alex. Hillary Clinton has announced that she will not seek the presidency. We've been making fun of her. Of course, all morning long. Eddie positive you can say as a guy who's Republican anything positive. You can say about Hillary Clinton's legacy. Well, I think she's done a lot for the pantsuit industry. Oh boy. Oh boy. You're in trouble. That much, you know, it was a very personal campaign petty about she never made it about us American people about her ambition. Can't envision and so it can't really be about us. And I think she is. I think they hope that the Chelsea generation has a political future. So they're going to step off the stage and let a new generation try to build their own future in politics. Well, she heard your line about the pantsuits. Rescue. Appreciate it. Really good. But you're absolutely right about that, Alex, my heart. But the thing was just there was nothing. But naked ambition on her face all the time. Yeah. And we have this conceit as voters that elections ought to be about us not about the candidates and Hillary Clinton never quite made that bridge. It was her turn. It wasn't our future. And at the end of the day it cost or the presidency a campaign. She probably should have one. We're on with Alex custody. Janowski outstanding ABC news political analysts in Washington, Alex. So what's your take on what happened in North Vietnam with North Korea? I think Trump's being sold short here. He has done something. No previous president has done. He's created an incentive for a rogue regime to integrate itself into the community of respected countries in the world. This is a country so poor that its own people eat dirt. And Donald Trump said look you don't need to terrorize your people depend on nuclear weapons to protect yourself. Why don't you become rich? Why don't you grow? Why don't you Kim Young become the leader your grandfather and father never could be respected in the world. And wow, he's just dealt this whole negotiation a new hand of cards to the point that even when he walks away from a negotiation missiles are launched. We still have a good relationship. There's calm in the world. This is from crazy Donald Trump. I think it's kind of a tour de force here. Shows you what a pretty good poker player. This president is Alex. We've got I don't know how many Democrats now running for the presidency, your gut. Does it tell you the party alert his left or that some of the cooler heads, prevail? And they think we have to moderate a little bit and pick a moderate candidate. Three fists of democratic voters are women were living in the metoo era. The first half of primaries are predominantly people of color. I think this democratic process is set up for a lunge to the left Biden leads right now, but he has no room to grow. Everybody knows who he is. You're not voting for him. Now, that's that. So guess what somebody is gonna laugh? The old generation maybe a comma Harris, but I think you're gonna see a Democratic Party. They shouldn't have their convention in Miami. Like they're talking about just go ahead and go to Venezuela. Exactly caracas. That's it. Thanks, alex. Casinos ABC news political analyst Hilary wants to weigh in. Nice talking to Alex. Next week. Coming up next, Fox News. They had the story.
