Okay, So it should be John. Justice, months. Oh, uh, you know, you know what? Katie up here? Everybody's John Justice Month every day. True, true story. So I was I was trolling your Twitter feed, You know, just kind of seeing what your tweet when you're tweeting about, and, uh We mentioned this earlier in the six o'clock hour with with Sam's top five, Um, the the passing of Donald Rumsfeld of cancer at age 88. I'll let you tell the story that you wrote in the tweet. This. This is by the way, this is my worst nightmare come true and I'll spit. I'll spin back to it. But tell the story of when you when you interview to Donald Rumsfeld. Yeah. So, um, This is way back when I had first moved to Washington, D C out of college early twenties, and I was trying to make it and you know be You know, at the forefront of getting big interviews for Tom Hall and try to get us to a different level and I was introduced to one of Donald Rumsfeld's speech writers who has been working for him and his. I believe it was the foundation and I asked if I could interview him and I they said Yes. Which was a huge deal, right and my early twenties. I have no idea what I'm doing. I have never interviewed anybody at that level before out of college. We go to his office and set everything up, and, um I started the interview and he was very gracious, became in hello to everybody, very kind. And I started the interview and luckily it was on tape and not live or something like that, and I called him. Introduced him as the secretary of state. And if you know anything about the rivalry between the State Department and the Department of Defense, it's a big one. And he very calmly stopped me and quietly said Secretary of Defense. My worst nightmare, man. Yeah, her defense. Serious secretary defense twice. And so he was very kind about it. You knew that I was young and an experience that he let me but the interview over that we stopped record hit record again and continue. Don't work. Worst nightmare. It's look I I've made. I've made similar mistakes on the show. It's a terrible, terrible feeling. You know when, when, when? When that happens when you when you miss label somebody or you, you accidentally called them by the wrong name or you, you know, give them the wrong title. It's just It's embarrassing. It happens. You know, it's just a mistake through is embarrassing, but it worked out. Okay, So Drew may or may not remember this. I think you were there. I think you were there. Probably the worst the word and this is this is probably the event that really maybe paranoid, moving forward for any interview or anything I did to make sure I got titles and stuff right? I was hosting a an event for Memorial Day. And I was at the podium and I I I asked all of our veterans to stand up to honor them on Memorial Day, and I remember being corrected shortly afterwards that event going that's not It's not what you this is not. This is not that holiday. John. This is that would be veterans. That would be veterans Day and here and everybody was there for everybody was gracious, and they stood up at all this because the intent is good. Yeah, my intention was right. But that was just like, Oh, I felt.

"From somebody fleeing Minneapolis. Go back to the phones here on Justice. Andrew Twin Cities News Talk Came 11 31 of 35 FM, Jim, Wisconsin. Go ahead. I'm back. Guys, guys, I'm sorry. Had 10 things going on at once. Everybody You were talking about how Things have progressed to this point. Grew up in the eighties with Ronald Reagan. One thing he always said was that the government says Hi, I'm here to help run like hell. Something like that. Right? And what people just surprises me. How many people sleep? My parents who I love dearly beloved so much fear. I just think that the government, the media and the politicians having draining these people that you can live in, you need to live in fear and we'll solve all your problems and therefore people don't think for themselves. Just do what they're told. That's what it just blows me away that bad people take advantage of the very innate human desire to feel safe and to feel taken care of, and it's something that comes across like a pandemic, and it gives them just the golden opportunity. Two to upload to prey on those fears to prey on those urges and desires and say no, no, no, We're the government. We can take care of you, but they fail at it. Not all the time was hard to. I was responsible for my own safety, and I'm responsible for myself. And that's what we're that's. What we live in. This country is all the individuals take care of themselves. Everybody be taken care of, and I just I still don't understand that concept. How people could just do what the government tells him and not think for themselves. It just blows me away. Now that ties in with the with the destruction of the fight of the family unit, and you know when you when you can replace the family with the government. That's a lot of power. That's a lot of power that you could get running through this email from Christina, her family living in South Minneapolis with her with her husband, Tim, He's been here almost his entire life. 45 years. 15 years ago, they purchased a home in South Minneapolis. First child there in 2011. They were next to a bus stop. And there were a couple of kids that were picking at the retaining wall, and she asked him to stop. And there was a AH girl who was new to the neighborhood who thought that she was talking to her. This resulted in the girl apparently going and telling her mother and grandmother yelling at the at her from a car that this Resident was a racist right and even tried to explain that I wasn't talking about your daughter. I was talking about these two. These two white boys who were the ones picking at this, but it didn't matter. Shortly after the incident while my husband was a cut, recovering from cancer service surgery, a car Mr Turn and hit our front stoop late at night. We both went outside to see what happened, but the person in the vehicle had already fled. While waiting for the police. A young boy who happened to be the brother of the girl at the bus stop, came walking down and tried getting into the car. We tried stopping him. He grab something out of the car. He hit me in the face and ran. We were able to get a picture of him, but the police would not do anything because we did not have it on video. It ended up that the car was reported stolen. So we were stuck with the expenses as the repairs to the stoop. We're below are deductible. A short time. After all this happened, we put cameras up. While we were up north. We kept getting notifications from our app to our surprise When we open the app. We saw the two boys that were originally picking at our wall, along with the younger sister of the 12 year old girl taking a baseball bat to our retaining wall and garage and yelling that I was the C word. Wow! Being three hours away. We could do nothing but call our neighbors and police. However, they had fled. By the time anything could have been done. And although we had video, remember they were asked to take video, right. Although we had video evidence at the time and knew who it was, the police stated there was still nothing they could do. To our disappointment. At this point, we started watching our security cameras to see what was going on as a lot of crime had started in our neighborhood as reported on next door. We recorded these kids burning down a neighbor's garage. Mid day the mom relieving herself on our garage. God, why This is disgusting. These kids going out of two a.m. in the morning, stealing a trampoline and other items from our neighbors. We also recorded Our other neighbors car getting stolen another garage break in our our garage, getting shot at our license plates being stolen, and eventually the demise of our camera when it got ripped off our roof by a thief. You're probably thinking. Why don't they just call? The police turned this into the police? Well, they stay bright here, they Although we had proof and video evidence, the police stated that their hands were tied as the kids would just get a slap on the wrist. Each time in this just resulted in our house being a target. All because of a misunderstanding. Yep, all because of a misunderstanding and the assumption On the part of the of the neighbor of the assumption that this white woman was a racist because she was chastising kids. Forget the fact that she was chastising white kids and the mom just made a mistake and thought she was yelling at the wrong one, right? But now they became a target. Is it even if she was chastising a black kid for doing something is it really doesn't really deserve. Having your garage urinated on your retaining wall smashed with a baseball bat being called the C word over and over having your cars vandalized. Is that really an appropriate remedy for a mom who feels like your kid might have got yelled at at one point right? This This continued to happen right? They continued to get harassed, and at one point They asked a detective. What we could do is they have six kids. Thea officer stated that if it was him, he would pack up the family and move as it was going to get a lot worse due to the city Clown salute, Mayor and Upper police management at that time due to budget shortfalls. What a disheartening thing to hear you imagine from a police officer. This was about two years before the riot Now, two years ago, they were told this. We kept this in mind and decided to move once we found a spent bullet on our sidewalk. My husband was actually fine with moving at this point, so we bought a house in the burbs. We were lucky as we had just sold our rental property and had enough for a down payment as we ready the Minneapolis house while doing so. The riots happened and my husband stayed in the house to watch as we evacuated to the new home. We saved all the security camera recording the night of the riots, which is another story. In itself. Fortunately, we were still able to sell that summer since we moved. We have no numerous other families that have left as well, five of which were in our on our same block. The number of families. We also know when Southwest Minneapolis they're selling due to Minneapolis public schools, re zoning the district and planning on sending kids that should have been a southwest of the North. This is another story about how the Minneapolis school District rather transfer kids from a performing school to a non performing school to water down the bad test scores rather than dealing with the real issues..

"Child's awards. Were down. I wish you would try and slap rick kittles mama's face he would clown you man that is so messed up stuff the that one eight hundred eight seven eight play. Come on in and get hurt. We'll bring in the the guest when we have him greg zarian his dad was actually a mayor of glendale luna back in the dizzy. Ed i remember i. I've i've told the story before. But i had a teacher in high school who is also my. Jv coach Mr felice and He loved baseball and he actually moved to italy to play in the talian. Baseball league must have had eight fans at every game but anyway he just love baseball and he was being italian. He's a giants fan. I don't know what that is but Growing up in the bay area. I can tell you even my italian friends. My italian friends who were raider fans. They were still giants fans. It's just something it's it's the law. It's almost like if you're italian. You have to be catholic and you have to be giants fan if you're in the bay area if you're in new york like oh yankees oh that type of thing but anyway It was We used to have these Tv's that were on these. You know metal carts and he'd bring a man but he just he had to show us the giants opener during school. Day game you just thought it was very important that we watched and realize how important opening day was all right very happy to bring on the show. Now the emmy nominated actor gregory here to talk about the new movie eighty-six melrose avenue which is opening up on april twentieth. Gregory welcome to the show. Is it opening on april twentieth. Because it's it's marijuana thing. It's hitler's birthday or it just happens to be a friday. I'm going to say i'm gonna say friday. Yeah i'm gonna. I'm gonna offer fry out. Yeah i'm not for that. How are you. I was born in one thousand nine hundred that i think that's when all the cool people were born to do you agree. Come on please. Yes and i think. I should've same birthday as brooke. Shields so listen. It's it's a win win exactly the same day as brooke shields right exactly may nineteenth some good people and I'm an identical twin and I'm on the Cusp of gemini. So what's fascinating. Jim nights the double one. Sometimes i'll wake up being. Oh it's this gregory one time. I'll wake up going i without greg and then i'll call my twin and go like you kinda off today. Do you feel like you're good or bad so it's It's kinda scary all at the same time. See i'm june twenty eighth so people have said i'm a moon child because i'm almost touching jimmy as a cancer and i don't believe in any of that stuff but i've had a toll to me a few times i actually do. Here's why i believe in it. is my like i have a scorpio i think moon moon and my rising scorpio I believe in it because when there's a full moon I don't really sleep well and my twin doesn't sleep very well so i believe in all of that energy in that gravity and You know they say. I'm your saturn. Return every twenty nine years that you are on this earth the planets realign to the exact time that you were born and instead of fighting change Just let the current take you. So i believe in a lot of that you know. I grew up with twins and they couldn't wait to get away from each other. They went to different high schools. But you and your brother lawrence the stuff you guys do on tv you guys really like each other you know we do and you know let me be but we and we had to work for it you know. I don't you know when you're identical twins like our parents didn't know that they were having twins at the moment that my mom thought. Oh the baby's coming. The nurse said hey you know at the twins are fine and my mom's had twins together we were not gonna have pounds so they weren't cared so i have Made the claim saying. Hey listen guys. i'm the surprising relied. It's and you better be super happy that i'm here Our parents weren't ready for it. So you know we we were brought up you know as always lawrence and his twin brother here the twins so we had to fight to just find her own identity and when identical in the same business. Pretty much doing the same thing. It's it's basically saying pick me pick man. You're fighting against your own twin after tons of work and i think even now just a simple conversation of let's talk about it. You know a lotta siblings. Don't talk about relationships. don't have these open forums and my lowington. I have done so much work because we truly are the closest close person i could have in my life period. You know outside of relationships and stuff but we are you know cut from the same egg and all of that We really do like each other and we really have put the work and to understand each other respect each other appreciate each other and you know if we fight we fight and you know we fight hard. We love hard and at the end of the day. I know. I have somebody standing right next to me that wants to see me shine so with with with every relationship you've got to put the work in and I couldn't be more proud than his brother. Andrew's twin very cool. We're speaking with gregory zarian eighty-six melrose avenue just one more question about your career. Because you were very successful. You had that that. Good look in soap opera. Look you know you did the soap operas you did over one hundred commercials now to me that successful but i know a lot of actors are like oh i gotta get out of the soaps and the commercials and you did and you know westworld and everything else. You've done entourage castle bones criminal minds all this great stuff at the time. Did you appreciate the commercials and the soap operas. Did you kind of I gotta get outta this Great question No i appreciate every job as i every every like i. i'm i'm up for commercial. You know every every job. And i'm grateful for every interview every audition Soaps where my first acting gig. So i will forever be grateful to soap operas and two soap operas Twenty five thirty years ago. Whatever got me to having a conversation with christopher powell who was the star and creator of the show that i got nominated for an emmy venice the series. So i don't. I don't take any of it. I'm for granted and i'm grateful for everytime agent calls and says hey you have this edition or hey you're up for this part to me. It's like yeah. I gotta go to disneyland one more time and the difference between each gig is sometimes i get a walk right onto the ride and other times. I have to stand in line here in there so i don't think any of it for granted for all of it. Yeah living in the moment. That's very cool all right. Let's talk about eighty six melrose avenue. I had data elza playing the lead protagonists a few days ago. And i actually suffering yeah suffering from. Tst ptsd where..

"Up? I was looking at him. Oh, my God. You know, we're powering through the show this morning on this, you know, on this holiday Welcome back to Justice Andrew Twin Cities, News, talk and One point drew close the blinds. I was convinced he doesn't want to look outside of the frozen world, and I was like, I don't know what it is. Now. You know when I look in his 22 below and like, how is it Colter? You said how are the animals on your farm? Not all Just cubes. How are they all that? How your animals on the farm? Just not all dead horse. Sickle way do have. We do have some animals that are struggling a little bit in the cold, but they're doing okay. Right outside, Are they? Yeah, the outside Were they live in a 24 7? So I think they're a little bit more activated to have had a better big AC eliminated outside. Don't get used to it E mean you get used to it words you don't feel anything anymore And then you die are the really small animals handle it a little bit like not as well as the big court full size horses. We have our little goats are struggling a little bit with the cold, but bring him inside. I mean, they're in a barn, but it's not in your house are our house can only hold so much weight. Put him in your house through what's the temperature You're born in this in this and I just had to say was the outdoors, not heated way. Have this. We have this running joke. It was a couple of years ago. You snapped a selfie, you know, and it had the minus five on it. And so he's like, you know, we got all excited like a week. And a half ago, I think was like, Hey, we use the picture again. Say I'm in the negative five pick, and it wasn't that funny is like God's funny It was like for a longing of days gone by. Remember when that was war? Remember when it was minus five. Be careful out there, man. It's just sit pretty nice suddenly. Didn't grow so called 6519895855 is the phone number. You know just another another quick point on that on that audio we played. We played a moment ago, um, of Trump's Trump's attorney, just ripping ripping into that into that host over the doctored evidence doing that thing with my fingers. Of Trump's impeachment trial. Look, look, Look, It wasn't a trial that was going to lead to Trump getting locked up, right? This was just this was just an impeachment. You know that they were trying. They were attempting to make it so the trump at least Wouldn't have a their mind a fighting chance of running again, even though I still think, regardless of the fact that Congress voted on the constitutionality of it. I still think that there's an argument to be made that it's not because the Constitution says you can't do that to a private person and in the Senate voting on something does not magically make it constitutional. That's not how you determine the constitutionality. Everything by holding a Senate vote. But it still was a trial and they're so was evidence presented. And if there was an overwhelming or just any evidence that Trump was responsible for the actions of those few, comparatively speaking to the number of individuals that were in D C that day, I have no doubt that there would have been more Republicans that would have joined Joined on board because there would have been more Republicans outraged around the country that would have supported that Republican leadership in Congress getting on board, But that wasn't the case than most people know that's not That's not the case, and they still had to go on present evidence that was doctored and tainted and skewed to make it look like again the video footage that they shone mentioned it last week, but I'll say it again, You know, it's like a movie director wasn't Michael Bay filmed it to make it look is, as you know, is harrowing is humanly possible. It was a horrible thing that happened that day. But that whole impeachment was a sham. And guess what? Trump got acquitted again? Yep. Yep. They in the evidence that they had the doctor and present it wasn't about convincing other fellow senators. They knew they knew exactly how that what was going to play out. And they knew who was gonna vote. Which way before they ever decided. Even hold a vote. It wasn't about convincing them It was about convincing you Was about convincing their constituents was about convincing their friends and the cable news media. It was about getting people like S E Cupp to tweet about how this house it's so hard to watch. Oh, my gosh, I can't. This was such a tragic day. That's the only people they were trying to convince. That's that's who that evidence was for What happened, then it worked. You know, we even just go out and read what everybody was putting on Social media. While the trial was going on, and it seems like there are energy was effective, and the funny thing is, is like they're even running around acting like they won. They're actively. They won the tri Alexey. We did it. We held him accountable. No, she was acquitted. You idiot. It's that's not how that somehow that works. Well, they'll try to do it again. By the way. If Trump goes out there and does something they don't like that we'll try to impeach him again. They need they need trump so bad because they don't have any substance, their policies, and they know that if the American people actually looked at the things that they were planning on doing the things that they're working on behind the scenes, But they've got everybody distracted by impeachment that they would have even Less support right then they currently have They know that they have to do it all via executive order and omnibus bills that nobody's going to read and and behind the scenes of the impeachment trial..

Michael Bay Congress Trump Senate trump Republican last week Republicans 6519895855 22 S E Cupp minus five this morning couple of years ago five pick One point a half ago Alexey Justice Colter

"Don't need a sniping that it's not working at the same time your members air going in gathering in large groups unmasked so we we need to do what What I think everybody wants us to do. Join nationally become unified around this. Let's beat Colbert and let's move on. Shut the hell up, Governor. You were on the street with a group of individuals where you talked about how Republicans air wrong Every damn times is the only reason we just grew them. Good, because just because the Republicans because they're wrong every damn toys. Don't give me this garbage of always going to get blown the boo boo boo. Apart from the politics, you look what there is nothing more more cynically political than the DFL in this State Now they're I mean, I can't think of Ah, more cynical, you know, highly politicized entity than the DFL in the state and the on Lee time you could get the DFL to get up and do something is when they think it's either going to help them win an election or heard a Republican an election. Those are the only motivations it's just optics and politics with them. The power that he won't relinquish, puts him in a position where he doesn't have to answer to anybody and he doesn't care what you asked him. He just want you to do what he wants you to do. He doesn't want to debate this at all. If he did, If he did, he would relinquish his powers. He would hand it to the Legislature and he would let them go and hash it out, because that's what it's supposed to be dead. Let the Legislature do their job, Tim Let them do their job. Testes, Andrew Twin Cities News Talking and 11 31 35 that we do have some phone calls. Kelly and ST Paul. Good morning. Go ahead. Good morning thistles. Me, right? Yes, but you don't get how you Kelly? I don't know. Sorry. I never I never catched. Go ahead. Kelly here at the beginning, Always your go ahead. I don't know if you're talking to me or someone else, but anyway, quick three Super quick point. I'm glad you played the sound bite where her asking about you could both vote against me in two years because I brought that up. But the main thing is really has got me. You guys missed it. He said. The murder of George Yeah. I thought that you guys are too young to remember with Nixon said that on live TV. Uh against Charles Manson. When he was a trial for murder and masses. Next, they had the newspaper headline. In his hand in the courtroom, and they were asking for a mistrial. You know, so I just I just really get don't No, no, no, It's not the murder the death of George Voice. We haven't had a trial yet. You know, I mean, but I'll let you guys go. Well, thanks, Kelly. One of our many Kelly's listen to the show. Appreciate that. It was actually the wrong Kelly, too. We had another killer lined up, but they draft you have in there. No, he he's 100% right and the whole systemic racism global thing to plays right into that In my opinion. Look, when I was there's a lack of intellectual honesty in this country right now and Because agendas drive all the narratives. We can't have an adult, rational conversation about these issues that are affecting millions of people and of cause people. I mean, people have died in the wake of the reaction of George Floyd again. George Boyd shouldn't have died, but we have a trial. In the wake of the response and the reaction to that of which the trial hasn't happened. We've had many people died, Yeah, and and and it's DFL politicians elected DFL politicians that have nurtured a culture of permissiveness when it comes to illegal and sometimes violent protests. In this state. Now for years and years and years, We've been sounding the alarm and we got called Racists left and right When we said Hey, it's a bad idea to let people protest on freeways. Oh, you're racist. Oh, you just want to silence the black people. No, no, It's a bad idea, and it's dangerous and it's illegal, so they shouldn't do that They go protest. You know, there's plenty of places you can protest him and perfectly legally and safely. But no, no, That was John. No black lives matter. They want to make you uncomfortable. That's the whole point. Right? If you're not uncomfortable, then they're not doing their job. And you have DFL elected leaders. They were like, Yep. Uh huh. That's right. Go ahead. We'll We'll even get the state troopers involved. It will make sure that the freeways get shut down, years and years and years of this permissive attitude towards these illegal and unauthentic IMEs violent protests. Homa needed and what you saw after the death of George Floyd, and they should own that They should have to take responsibility for that. And if we had a competent media in the state, they would well and we don't have a chance to get to it this morning will probably spend some time on it with tomorrow's show. But the continued controversy around around January 6 you know, on what happened at the at the Capitol and again, That's another circumstance where we're not allowed to have an adult conversation, right? Look. It wasn't an insurrection. They didn't know what the heck they were going to do once they got inside there, And if you want to try to call it an insurrection, then I really hope that you're willing to have a discussion about all parties involved from all the different facets of protest ng and outrage because it wasn't just trump supporters And at the same time you got individuals wanted to go after Republican leadership because of what they say is they're touting of conspiracy theories. But you've got a O. C out there going The Republicans tried to have me murdered. Give me a break already. Yeah..

"But, you know, I apply a little common sense. Everything I hear. Okay. Thank you. Okay. Okay. W good morning. Good morning, gentleman. You know, as you guys didn't go, my politics is a left of center probably waiting up the center. You know, don, you know I like him. I like this out on ferocity when it comes to politics, But, you know, done from from Barnesville is the epitome of partisan politics. This is always about you know, sometimes even those on the right as well. They never look at a policy is that was about how I feel, you know, cause done. Just want to talk about how Donald Trump talked about people, but it's something about policy. I mean, and even my my offender politicians on the left. They engaged in the same type of rhetoric, Name calling, yet they don't identify what specific policy They agree. Are you even disagree with an articulate that the people go out and vote? They were light on, you know, old And he said that bad You know this or death, But yet when their friends on the left of the same thing, they give them a past, you know, I think it's awesome. "We'll see if I think the power of his example is also the message he sends by science signing 25 executive orders, including almost half of them related to Cho vid. The requirements that we're all under every single day here to ensure we're sending that message to the public. Yesterday was a historic moment. Our history he was inaugurated as president of the United States. He was surrounded by his family to take a number of precautions, but I don't think I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time, Jen Psaki We've got bigger issues to worry about at this time. The message then the pandemic sends a message. Yeah, they basically admit, I mean, we all know the truth about masks or anybody that's paying attention. I should say, knows the truth about masks. They're only partially effective in very specific situations. And then, like 95% of our day to day activities that we go on masks served zero purpose whatsoever in terms of Actually fighting a pandemic, but They send a message that was Fox's Peter Doocy grilling and get a White House press secretary Jen Psaki. It's Justice Andrew Twin Cities News Talking and 11 31 035 FM and his beat eggs have pointed out this morning. She should have been in a mask right there. Also be a master man. Doesn't Andy isn't that isn't that government is in that bright house press briefing, having at the White House, federal property, federal property. It's a mandate. There should never be a moment where you see Joe Biden on the White House grounds or anywhere within the confines of D. C. Where he doesn't have a mask on. If you're going to issue a mandate to the new you should you should abide by it. Right. I mean, really, whether that doesn't hire regardless of the mandate, regardless of what it is, If you're gonna have done your first day in office, signed an executive order issuing this mandate on federal property, then by God. You should, at least for the first day. Fuck. You should be in one taken seriously. She should be telling everybody else there to be in one another one. And you and you may think that was a stupid gotcha moment. And you may you may think that that's just conservatives, you know, with sour grapes, and maybe that maybe there's some truth to that one. But it still doesn't change the fact that you issued the mandate. You're the one you're the one that issued the mandate. Why aren't you following your own mandate? Listen, You know what you know, and not to you, but, you know, screw that the heat? No. You know, by the bite sake, Biden, all of them right. They'll get to be treated the same way that Donald Trump was all afford them the same respect. Trump's not president anymore. Joe Biden is if you don't like it, then you should have talked about that when they had all the gotcha questions that every single White House press briefing where Trump gave ours countless hours of his time answering questions over and over and over. Again. Look, if you're not going to follow the mandate, that's what it opens it up to you Open yourself up to that. That is a fair question. You may think it's got you, but it's a fair gotcha. Because they're the ones that issued the mandate. He campaigned. The price of one of the primary aspects of his entire campaign was we're going to take this pandemic seriously, and we're gonna We're gonna listen to the science. We're gonna lead by example. You couldn't even make it. 24 hours of leading by example, didn't even make it 24 hours looking. She got there's a little bit and it tells you how how squishy they are just a little bit of push back a little bit of pushback on that. More importantly, got more important things to deal with that. What are some of those more important things, Jen? I mean, what do you know If the pandemic isn't the most important thing? Maybe we can. Maybe we can glean some clues from the other 17. The other 16 executive orders as to what is a bigger deal is removing the 70. 76 project from the White House website and reinstituting the the critical race theory elements into our public education system was that a bigger priority than the pandemic? We have more audio to share. We'll get to this. In a moment. The version we have attended versions here we have the audio from CNN. The daily Wired covered the story of Biden's false narrative on the hero on vaccines, not Trump. The media on uncritically, agrees Joe Biden trying to take credit for what President Donald Trump accomplished, and even CNN's own Chris Cuomo pushback on the reporting before we get to that, though, let's go and talk with Amanda include Rapids, who wants to comment on our previous conversation about multi racial whiteness if you're awful and bad, and you're not white, you, you you have the political color of whiteness. And so you're still awful. Good morning, Amanda. Good morning, Joanne. Thank you so much for giving us the levity here in all this crazy. It's like enough. Yes. I have a first grader Indiana to heaven District and with, you know, Since morning. I'm sitting at home. I'm watching the video with her. And it's on Martin Luther King Jr. Cool. Totally sweet, Fantastic Azi. I'm sitting watching the video. You know, it's got an image of him at the, um Washington Memorial, giving a speech and it says, Um, one day he wanted his Children to not be judged by the color of their skin. Got that done. And I'm waiting rep. Allies. Not there. I grew up in Minneapolis. I had black teachers and they were adamant. It's not the color of their skin. It's the content of the character and all my goodness. Am I trying to hammer that home? You like it? I had to have a conversation. My fourth grader about her friends being black he like I don't care. I'm like I know that you keep that up at any rate. I don't know it. E have yet to see anybody provide me like a pushback on on that, like I've never seen anybody who you know, like this like this Beltran character who talked about this ridiculous, multiracial whiteness garbage. But I've never seen anybody you know who bothers to try to explain, OK, this is what Martin Luther King said that you know, the girl one of the greatest civil rights leaders of all time, right? This is this is what he what he said. What you're espousing is completely contradictory of that. Can you please explain that to me? Is it because I never get asked? Is that why you know is that why and I know that? I know I don't don lemon, you know, trying to stick it to conservatives and Republicans who were pointing that out on your Republicans were not allowed to invoke the name of Martin Luther King on MLK Day. You're not does not You do not. You're not allowed to do that. Sorry. That's a gulag for you. That's a gulag. That's a gulag. Zagat Gulag mentioned that milking. It's It's a good life. You gotta go. You gotta go. You gotta go. You gotta go like you point out the most e racial attack on January. Gulag Gulag For your luck, you know you ask yourself, do you? You ask the White House press secretary for Biden. Difficult question. Or just a question is the gulag for you A week in the gulag. So we get the Google you lug. All right, real quick. You get out of the gulag when you learned your lesson, So Biden pledged to get 100 million Americans vaccinated in his 1st 100 days. It sounds like an atom Aurora on admirable goal, but it's utterly meaningless. Consider the U. S. Is already on pace to do this. I've done it. I'm not gonna lie. I have composed a tweet before it hits said and thought. Ooh, that was a good one has of the ones that never land was good. Ellen's gonna get gonna get up and then I got an hour later like nobody cared. You're like this is it? This is gonna make me go viral, the pinnacle of my success. Yeah, but you could tell when there are people out there that are like actively trying. You know to to to compose that perfect tweet that everybody is gonna like, And it's going to get retweeted a zillion times. And it's going to go viral this stop. Just stop you being You're being awfully cringe. E My favorite here on Justice Andrew Twin Cities, news talk, and I only say this because I know that you know. But my favorite now is because Jake Tapper, did he respond to your weed retweet you at one point, Jake Tapper. He didn't remember. Right, Retweeted. I think you re tweeted you, but I know that now because now drew well likes to go and poke at him. You go and poke at it, because you know that he at least at one point read one of your tweets, Right? Just like you know, he's got your attention down. Likes to go poking Jake Tapper is Big River may hurt me preacher brings him re tweeted. You know, I wanted I got something to say to you brings a smile smiled in my face. All right, A couple of a couple of things here real quick. And then we've got toe, Is it It is Martin Luther King Day. S so we have We have some fun ones before we get to what Sam learned first off, though, Leave it to Bill Maher, Man. I disagree with most of what Mark has to say, but at least he's not always a hypocrite, and he tries to be rational. Give that much. He's a He's a very opinionated guy. In a lot of times, you share his opinions that I completely disagree with. But he seems to at least know that it's a bad thing to be a hypocrite, you know? And and so he you know, came out recently seeking to bridge from Newsmax seeking to bridge the vitriolic American political divide, and one of you trying to do that, He just simply said. It is possible to hate President Donald Trump and condemned the Capitol building rioters but still treat those backing the president with respect. Yeah, they didn't need Mara to say it, but at least there's some, you know some liberal out there that's willing to go and speak the truth on that particular matter. He's 100% right, of course, and I would hope that you know some of our more vociferous critics out there would would would would take a minute teeth ink about It was a good line. I mean, let's not confuse 5000 people with 74,000,007. 24 million people voted for Donald Trump. Do you really think There are 74 million, you know, irredeemable racist white supremacists to want to overthrow the government because if there were, it probably would have been done by now, Right? That's a lot of people. And there's another angle to look at January 6, too, by the way, if this really was the president's urging. As people want to say if he really did planet He didn't do a very good job, right? I know that was only a fraction of the number of people that were in that were in D. C that day who took part in what happened at the capital. We believe you may if Trump had that much power and actually planned all of that and all those people I mean, it would have burned the Capitol of the ground. I mean, you want to talk about a hostile takeover they wanted absolutely, but that that didn't happen. It was a handful of people, and I don't even agree with the individuals that got up on the I mean, you were allowed to don't misunderstand that area around the capital is public space, right? I mean, they knew salmon on whether we walked right up that white into the front. There's parts of it. You could actually walk into it. I don't even agree with the people The moment that there was pushback against law enforcement people trying to get in. I don't agree with any of the trump supporters that just stayed outside Eve in the area. That were me. I would have bolted. I don't wanna be any part of this. But make no mistake this idea that it was planned. You're full of it. If it was planned in Trump had so many supporters, they were all on board with this. That would have been. I mean, you probably would have had something along the lines of a 9 11 or Pearl Harbor. But you didn't you had. I don't even know what the number was of people that went in there. A couple 100 100? Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't a big number of people break and it wasn't with the intent of Overthrowing the government, which is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Did they really do? You really believe that you would like what was their plan? Please articulate to me how you think they were going to overthrow the government? What was what was? How do you think they were going to do that? You know, I'd love to hear what this big scheme was. We're gonna go in there and then we're gonna Stand in the congress. I'm gonna get up some e don't know what to do from there. I'm sorry. Get six selfie if you Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, because that's what happens when people want to go on over. They get they take Selfies and they smile. They will get me upset Pelosi's chair. It really tells you how ignorant The individuals are that say it was planned or they were trying to overthrow the government. It's like, stop watching game of Thrones, man, right? You don't end up just at the that's the highest point inside of Congress and be like, Yeah, this is mine. Now that I have usurped your podium, Madam Speaker. I'm the speaker Now. Trust supporters. Come take your seat to me. So now start crafting law. You think? I don't know any of this word? Is that you? If you just if you're in the chair, I was going to start following their command. I now have power. It's just well, You know what? They're all in there. Now I am the commander in chief. Now they have filled up all the seats of Congress. And now they're enacting laws and they're having you know. Oh, look at the shaman, The Jew Baka Shaman guys..

San Francisco's E-Cigarette Ban Aims to Goose the FDA

"Tuesday. San Francisco became the first major city in the nation to approve a blanket ban on the sale and manufacture of e cigarettes, the city supervisors passed the ban unanimously like many cities across the country. San Francisco says it's trying to stem vaping epidemic among school aged kids and teens. Join us to talk about the ban in San Francisco and what it could mean for the rest of California is attorney Andrew tournament Seco with the public health Law Center, which monitors tobacco laws across the country. Thanks for being with us. Thank you for having me. We'll supporters of the band say that it can help rein in vaping, kids and teens. But some who oppose it Sates going to remove viable smoking, turn it, that can help people quit supervisors at all weigh in on vaping as a path toward quitting. That's valid point on, I think manufacturing, especially to have been making this Wayne. And this claim is not actually founded in science. Oh. In fact. And we know that those pass wait for them to gain that status to if the approval to, to be a cessation product from combustible products. The report says that e cigarettes where the most commonly used products high school students in two thousand seventeen the surgeon general has mentioned how the use of cigarettes has explicitly increase in middle and high school students of the rate of nine hundred percent between two thousand two thousand fifteen and the pattern of use of cigarettes, higher within teenagers and young adults spending adult so idea that they products or e cigarettes are a cessation tool. He's. Listen. Do BS those numbers those numbers about growth in, in student populations of there staggering, but did San Francisco at all ever? Consider a sort of a more tailored approach in terms of banning them in schools, and or exploring options like vape monitors that, I know some schools across the nation have those restrooms and other parts of schools. The best way to stay me that we're facing right now. We do this is an pedantic but synthesis believes it's facing and the best way to do. It took the approach that they felt appropriate to spend that they make San Francisco really just the first city sort of actively take on FDA, that's maybe dragging its heels on weighing in on vaping. San Francisco as I just the forefront. And, and like you mentioned, you know, the FDA has this pathway through, which is cigarettes can be on the market, and they're not doing that. They've been pushing back to dead line products. I've been on the market for many, many years. Now. And dictate adults has the numbers show, and this is presenting a public health catastrophe and, yeah, San Francisco's want as on the forefront of doing this having difficulty reconciling, the fact that jewel, one of the largest makers of, of e cigarette products is headquartered there and is a large player in the market, and a resident of the city, that's actually great point. And they'll initiatives now in San Francisco to try to change that, so that the CD sense right message, when he'd enacts laws that protect the public health about having the industry that is responsible for this being housed in its own property. What we should inside that this band is Cisco did just pass is temporary can only last up to six months. That said, do you anticipate this catching with other large cities states? I mean there's, there's things making their way through the California legislature. Right now about vaping and prohibiting it in some places the beauty about. Public health initiatives, that developing the local level. It's that incremental in a sense that Justice Brandeis said you know, there's a laboratories of democracy. This is this is a politics being tested on the on the local level. And if it gains public public health goals, we hope to see it working its way to localities. Also, diffusing ports to the state, and another high level, so that, you know, we as a society, take steps to address on pedantic and midst. What would you tell somebody? That is an adult choosing to, to use an EC Greg product in the bay area. And now knowing they are going to be banned from using it is that is that, right? Is that fair? Do they have the right to smoke? What they want. Well, I hate to recognize you, but there's no right to smoke or those right to access this product. I mean I I'm really I'm pathetic to people find themselves addicted to these. Product. Some good diction probably has been going on for many years and interventions available to people who would like to transition from those combustible products, the FDA approved cessation products. And for example, you'll probably have a great important of nicotine even combustible cigarettes. That's does lawsuits going on right now where those claims have been made that jill's Jews make an for. Delivering nicotine is more potent combustible cigarette. So what's on fair is the business practices of, of the cigarette industry, trying to continue to push his products in the public that have delicious public health effects on the population Andrew twin about Seco is a staff attorney with public health Law Center. Thanks so much for being with us today. Welcome, thank you for having me.
