Okay, so the LA Dodgers this year are first team to 90 wins. 90 and 38. They're dealing with like walker Bueller out, Trevor Bauer out, may comes back, Clayton Kershaw has been out. Yeah. They have outscored their opponents this year by 287 runs. That's almost a hundred more than the Yankees. And that's getting historic. At this point in the season, the Dodgers have played a 138 games. They've outscored their opponents by 287 runs. The last time that happened, that 78 years ago, 1944 cardinals actually, the Dodgers in 2002, the only four teams in history that have been this good run differential wise in history are the 39 Yankees, the 27 Yankees, the 44 cardinals and 36 Yankees. This is kind of galactic what they're doing. The only team in the past generation that's close to what the Dodgers are doing this year are the Yankees of 1998 who blew through everybody. They were a 114 and 48 crews to the World Series that year. So the Dodgers are and they're actually getting better as a season goes along. They're beating their opponents by more runs in August than

Few of those names in there. And when it comes to the NFL Draft, everybody likes to think that they're an expert. Every year. Oh, you know, I'm hearing, you know, that guy is going to be a star. Right? Remember Josh Rosen 2018, UCLA quarterback. Look like he was the pro ready prospect. He was replaced after just one year in Arizona with Kyler Murray. He was cut by the Cleveland Browns yesterday. Last year, the Raiders selected Alabama tackle Alex leatherwood. All right, a tackle, Alabama. Can't miss. He was drafted at 17 in the first round. There were people at the time who said, oh, that's a reach. Still a highly rated prospect. He was cut yesterday. Making that transition from college to the pros has never been easy. And it's tough to really handicap that, where you go, he can't miss, or how did I make it? How did that guy become a star? And the NFL is littered with those stories. But the reality is nobody has any idea how these players careers will shape. And yesterday cut down day, a perfect reminder of exactly what we don't know. And I mentioned some of these players, Kellen mond, was drafted 66th overall last year. One spot higher than Davis mills, and at the time, if you go back, oh, handwriting's on the wall for Kirk Cousins. Kellen mond, you know, he's got first round talent. I went, okay. Alex leatherwood knows Jon Gruden, Mike mayock. Josh Rosen was tenth overall by the Cardinals in 2018. Now in fairness to Rosen. And I thought that he was pro ready too. He played for an Arizona team that had a horrible offensive line, and he didn't play well. And then all of a sudden you got cliff Kingsbury, you got the number one pick and he's going to take his guy and Kyler Murray. And I thought, okay, Rosen may be a chance to latch on to somebody else. But you can go back through the draft through history here. I mean, Matt leiner, quarterback, one of the greatest teams of all time. He washed out? That was another one of those. He can last ten years. He could be one of those guys that plays for ten years, whether he starts or he's a backup. OJ Howard. If you said, all right, let me kind of choose aloud a tight end. Here's an Alabama Titan. 19th overall pick 2017 by Tampa Bay. Gone. Laquan treadwell selected 23rd overall Vikings, 2016. Gonzo. So you have Jared Davis. Back in 2016, Lions took him 21st overall. Gone. You could go down the list and you go, because if you follow college football, you're aware of these names. And then the dolphins kept a quarterback yesterday. And if you love college football, and if you watch random college football teams, then you know who we does anybody know who the dolphins kept at quarterback. Pauly? I didn't see their final roster. Well, I'm just saying. One double a? No. Hint. Give me a hint. Did they bring back pat white from West Virginia? I loved him. No, I loved that way too. A bunch of mountaineers cut yesterday though. Will Greer? Will Greer, yeah? Tavon Austin. Oh. I thought tavon Austin was going to be a guy who gets a hundred catches every year. Why didn't he end up being tyreek hill before tyreek hill? He was the guy who set up to do that. What the heck? I don't know. Dang it. 'cause I would watch him and I go, God, you just put him in space and he's gone. And then he's in space now. He's gone. Because nobody picked him up, but I thought tavon Austin was going to be one of those fast west Welker's, where it's just like, I'm going to have a hundred catches, but I'm going to make you pay. With like ten or 15 of these. All right, so the dolphins quarterback. And it was a big deal to me because I remember watching one full game. Because I thought he had a lot of talent. You guys, what can you tell us about how Josh Allen's connection is going with Stefan Diggs and how it's growing coming into this season. We've seen a lot of Brian bolding or Josh Allen Stefan Diggs connections here. We've also seen a lot of great battles as well between Stefan Diggs and The Rookie corner elam looking forward to both of those. We've also seen Stefan Diggs posing for photos after practice every day with babies that people are bringing down to the field here at saint John fish. Are they going to start naming newborn Stefan? Is it going to be the new Payton? Because he's just that likeable. And Josh hall and Stefan Diggs are just that lovable. I mean, they're interaction and they're love for each other is real. It's genuine. And I think that's a big part of the success two years ago when Stefan first came here. He led the NFL and receiving and touchdowns and all that didn't have the same numbers last year because he spread the ball around a little bit more. But when you need a play, I mean Stefan Diggs can still beat anybody off the dribble. He can still win his one on ones against any corner in this league. And you know, when there's a scramble drill takes off, Josh Allen is looking for Stefan digs. Yeah, and he could also still crash the set as he did on back together. Saturday, Jamie, because he was upset about what his brother had told me the day before at Oxnard that he would not get a catch against him, not a single reception in a bills cowboys Super Bowl, which fans here would certainly love to see and there are plenty of them practice about to get going. We would love to see that we saw that one about 30 years ago, Andrew, we'd love to see a sequel to that. And I'm just going to tear down the curtain here. Once a year we all get together as a network in Los Angeles and you learn about each other and you make friends and everything. I learned about Brian baldinger things that I never thought I needed to know, like he does like 1500 stomach crunches every day and he does them in the steam room. I was there. I saw a beautiful moment together. The reason I bring it up, Baldi, is there anyone out there and he additions for the bills, maybe that have even that level of dedication or that kind of physical specimen they're bringing out there and could it be the new addition OJ Howard? Nice. Well, I think there's a couple that could fall in that category, but OJ is certainly one of them. I mean, 5 years in Tampa. But never really the guy. Like, I remember when he came out of Alabama, Andrew, he stayed an extra year to work on his blocking. I think he is a true why. A guy that can line up, you know, next to the tackle can handle ends and linebackers and get stalemates. I think he's an excellent blocker. And he's just a big, strong guy. Big hands. And dependable. And so I think the tight end room with what Dawson Knox did a year ago with and I touched down catches and really kind of blossoming in a second season. And Tommy Sweeney, I think they got a really strong tight end room when the weather gets bad, four minute drill. You got to run the ball at the end of the game. All those kind of things, I think OJ Howard can help. He was kind of the forgotten man last year coming off the Achilles injury really behind Gronk and Cameron braid. He was the third guy in Tampa, buffalo goes three wide, maybe 70% of the time, which is pretty high, but they can go 12. They can put him on the field, Dawson Knox is in a contract year. He says he wants to stay here, but he does. Can I just explain to you another second answer? Yes. Just for the people out there. 12 personnel, one back, two tight ends. That's a holy breakdown. Just because these terms can be a little confusing, a little fast sometimes. We will have terms like those coming up momentarily top of the hour when we have inside training camp live here with the bills, The Rain, we think is gone away, hopefully fingers crossed the lightning stays away as well. He's going to take off from there. I've been talking to folks who've been up there in Buffalo and they've gotten a lot of great countries in the rookies. I'm going to give you a name. For the preseason. Christian benford, 6th round corner out of Villanova 6th, having a great camp. Christian benford. Like, they're just adding talent down last year they added Rousseau and bash them, the two pass rushers. They had two offensive line like they don't lose guys. They bring most of them back. I can't really name many huge losses, and that's even without mentioning von Miller. So I think it's fair to look at the roster. Look at the coaching staff and look at that gosh, darn beautiful quarterback. And say, yeah, they're going to be really, really good this year. As good as the AFC is, they might be the best. So to fast forward them to the AFC championship. Okay, cool. Let's remind them in the last year Super Bowl. No, they weren't there. Okay, let's remind to last year's AFC championship. They weren't there. To make it a foregone conclusion that they will be in the AFC championship. In a question in a conference that every time we type up our questions for the show and we talk about the UC, the word loaded goes in front of the AFC every time we talk about it this season, this conference is ridiculous. The World Series against the Indians and pitched pretty well in that game. You know, he he's pitched some really big moment games for the Cubs over his correct. Yeah, No, I thought it was a really good question by Danny. I just was like, Wow, it's It's hard to believe. But there there is truth to it. I always just think of the stretch that Jake the stretch that we talked to, um Len Castro about this yesterday when we're referencing what Jacob deGrom is doing What I saw. J. Kerry at a do over at stretch of two years was unlike anything right from 15 into like the first half of 16. When he was still filthy. Still don't know how Hendricks is doing what he's doing. "That sunday afternoon. But i didn't truly know until monday. Twenty four hours later so there was thirty hours where i did not know but like i said before in the grand scheme of things compared to what other people went through. Justa just a. So but that's exactly right about the mind is the situation. Yeah where my brother had tested positive on a tuesday. I was with them on thursday. Then i test negative but then you're sitting there for two days waiting to see if you get it. Even though you feel fine the mind games are. I said to all of my friends that week that i went through that that you think you know everything about kobe from paying attention to the news and everything. But you don't really know the mind game until it comes into your sphere. Basically and i would rather have to go through for a day find out. I don't have is actually go through having it so I it's there's it's it's funny. How i think all of our perspective. It's something that. I keep reminding myself we all have bad days at home at work Where you want to you know punch lawler kick. The dog figuratively speaking. I don't have a dog. I have clients walls. But the last year i keep telling myself hey take a deep breath back you know step back for a second realize that there are far worse situations. You could be right now. I think that was the first couple of months of covid. That was a lot easier because It truly was horrible out there. So that was also browns-steelers week six where they went to pittsburgh and got below now and so hard to me was like all right thing of the whole positive attitude thing part of me was hey. I'm gonna get to go home. I'm going to make a breakfast for a cup of coffee on of the couch. I'm gonna watch the browns. The steelers game just got off for about ten minutes until that day was beyond awful. Because i wasn't there and be the browns again below it out see just with just a kindergarten. That's what i watched. It was funny. Because one of the things i had written down to ask you. Was you know. Listen i feel know people say to me like you know why because i write about media lot did media podcasts. Obviously you know. Why do you think people care about media. Why people into it i. My answer is always. Listen if you watch sports you have an opinion on who's calling the games or how the games are presented. It's just human nature. So i was gonna ask you based on just doing red zone but now you even have that week at home. If is there anything. If you could find one thing you'd like to see the. Nfl do differently in terms of tv. Coverage is there anything that stands out to you that you would you know. Maybe i don't know different star times may be. I don't know with announcing anything with the way they anything from the tv coverage standpoint as someone. Who's there every sunday. Doing you know the announcers as much but obviously you have sunday night. Monday night thursday night but is there anything from a tv standpoint. You you'd like to see them do differently. Positive or negative doesn't have to be. That's that's a great question I don't know i. I think i'd have to think about that What would i like to see differently. see is staying with four preseason games but that's not gonna happen to someone who works for the rams and the preseason for the last eight years doing those gains few chances to do games during the season During during the year. So i prefer those. I do think that there is something we learned from this year. I don't know that we need a game on every single day of the week right. I we don't need that. But i do think that there is room for the one off and i'm not saying tuesday game but maybe we could throw a saturday game and a little bit early. I know there's always been that that respect given to college football but maybe throw saturday game at a little bit earlier because those those are fun. the one thing that i don't necessarily want is this Because what fans want. Is this evening out of the schedule. Like we need six games at one o'clock in six games four and it's always so fan scream and yell for it right. I mean go back again when we were kids on imagine if we were upset that there were only four games on the. We can watch simultaneously at easter four. Dammit i demand more games I don't think fans realize how few teams are west of the mississippi and that they all can't play at home every single week. I mean just look at a map people and the other part of that is Once we change the clocks come. Four o'clock i'm sorry once once. It starts getting darker earlier. These teams on the east coast. Don't want games are being played dark. Seven percent of america you know midway through the first quarter owners like four o'clock eastern time games if you're on the east coast. If they get a big tvd tv audience the you know the and and plus there a strain on local services as well getting police and fire an ambiance getting everyone there for twelve hours a tailgating totally took your question in a different direction. No no no i. I'm glad you brought that up because it's funny. I'm glad you said that because it is funny that that has become a big theme at least on twitter as as fans wanting a balance between one and four o'clock. And i feel like i'm out on an island all by myself. I love it when there's only three four o'clock games or even too sure two games because i liked the anarchy of a lot of games at one o'clock and then i like 'cause usually the best game of the week is going to be at four twenty five on monday. It's always the most watch gay more than sunday night monday night. And like and this. Is you know we've talked about this last time. My issue with red zone is. I'd like to get locked in on the best game so i'm at four twenty five. If you've got the best game let me lock in on it. And then like you talked about earlier with the multiple screens. I can put the crappy games on the other screens or put red zone on the other screens and let me get locked into the best game of the day. So i don't like when there's a lot of games at four o'clock. I know i'm in the minority on that but i'm glad you brought that up because i do like when it lighted for. Give me one o'clock. I'll sure. I like the anarchy of one o'clock i don't need it at one in four. Think the other part of it is and i'm gonna pat ourselves out of back whether it's our show or or scott hanson show. I think it's a testament to how the viewer has learned and changed his viewing habits because of the red zone channel instead with that. Anarchy as you call it a one o'clock eastern time people just come to expect. That's the way that they can most enjoy.
