"Can make all the throws out Andrew Callahan. Yeah. There's no doubt about it. Right. And he can make all the throws. He's great at throwing on the move or creating plays at a structure that touchdown pass to Corey Davis last week against the Panthers, the play breaks down. There's nobody open initially. He rolls out to his right and finds Davis on a line on a 22 yard touchdown in the back of the endzone. Those are the types of plays that he can make. And if you let him run around, all game long, especially get out of the pocket to his right to his arm side and then sling the football down the field. From there, then he's somebody that can hurt you with the long ball, right? And we knew this when they drafted him. But the issue that I see with Zach Wilson and I think this is what Bill Belichick was alluding to when he didn't credit him for accuracy and decision making and processing speed and those types of things are the dude just is allergic to the layups. He hates the layout. He will try to push the football down the field at all costs. And he averaged ten .6 air yards per attempt. In that game against Carolina. So that second in the league only to Russell Wilson. So he is trying to push this football down the field. And so many times in that game against Carolina, you see an open under route or an open slant or an open check down or an open player 8 yards down the field and there's Zach Wilson rolling out of the pocket to his right and slinging a ball 50 yards down the field instead of just taking what's right in front of him or taking a sack because there's nothing open down the field and he's trying to hit the big ball the big long ball and he takes a sack. He took 6 of those in the game against Carolina. Yeah, he's not consistent. And I was on with Adam Jones last night and we all know how he feels about max Jones start, but you know, he's kind of pressing me, you know, what's the difference between Mac and Zach Wilson, Zach Wilson had a bad turnover Mac came very close to having a bad turnover on that first play. Zach Wilson lost Mac loss. The difference is, and this is why I don't buy Zack Wilson, what he does isn't consistent. It's not sustainable. Matt completed what was it? 74% of his passes, right? Jack Wilson completed 54%. Right. And you mentioned the layups. He's just, you know, eventually, teams are going to learn to just sit back, take away everything deep and force him to nickel and dime his way down the field. I'll go back to cop. I've been making since the.

"Third Sunday night Football, So they're going to be some ratings bonanza that imagine after when we wake up on Monday morning. That's awesome. Alright again for great coverage. Follow him on Twitter. It's at underscore Andrew Callahan. Alright, Andrew, get back to college football, man. We'll talk soon. Thanks, Javi. Well, alright, buddy YouTube. All right. There he is. Andrew Callahan. Yeah, it really doesn't. Um It. I mean, it changes expectations for me just because I see upside in Mac Jones. I mean, just to be honest, I don't know if the hell he's gonna do once the season starts and what he's what he's going to do against Tom Brady and everything else, but I know there's an upside to him. And we saw last year with Justin Herbert. It is like Listen, rookies do come out and do play. Well, um, could he do that? Yeah. Yeah, he could. He could come out and be very impressive. I didn't see that happening with Cam Newton. I saw Cam Newton kind of being a guy that they're trying to figure out how to run an offense to disguise Cam Newton's, um, lack of throwing potential, and they did a good job of that last year early on where he was able to run. And they were able to have short throws and everything else. But Mac Jones gives you a different dynamic, and that has to change your expectations might end up changing anything, but I think the expectations you have to look at the team a little bit differently now. 855 to 1 to four CBS 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. The Lakers continue to sign old guys, They are apparently going to sign another one. We'll tell you about that coming up right after this is John Marshall on CBS Sports Radio. Your life, your hopes.

"So that's an important day and that completion percentage and the way he later every single drive to a touchdown showed to me that he could raise the passing offense to a level that Cam Newton simply could not again due to the completion percentage due to the waiting arm strength. And so for me, I think Mac Jones overall again because of that practice in the entirety of camp in the way he progressed. Can take this offense to a new level, throwing the ball in critical situations. Two minutes 36 longer where you really need to win it in the NFL to be a good team, so I think, yes, he raises the ceiling a little bit. But with the overall constructor of the Foster too tight ends a big offensive lines strong running game. The floor is still very high, and they should be somewhere between that kind of 9 to 11 win range. Mm Andrew Callahan, who is a great beat writer for The Boston Herald covering the Patriots. Stephon Gilmore opens the season Andrew on the pup list. That just means he has to sit out a minimum of six games or six weeks. We know he's unhappy with being in the final year of his contract. I don't know if this was a hold in like if he has, if he had a new contract, you think that maybe he's playing right now and Like I I just mean for the Patriots. They trade them. If you don't want to give him another contract, and he's going to do this or give him at least another year, a sweetener to make them play. You need them, And I'm pretty sure Jalen Mills is now going to have to be a starter on the outside. If he's not playing, Where does everything stand? What's your opinion with Stefan Gilmore? It's really difficult to see with Gilmour and I said this before, But of all the stories that have happened since I got on the beach in the summer of 2018. This has been the quietest news story and anyone I try to talk to with the team around Gilmore. You just get radio silence. So I don't have any hard reporting on this. But when you go back to the hard reporting, you know, starting with about a week or so after he partially terrorist squad at Miami mid December The expectation was Gilmore should be able to participate accordingly in rapid or in some portion of the offseason programs. Then he skipped all of OTAs and minicamp, obviously tied to his contracts. He's on few people who started training camp and we haven't seen him since. To me. This was a little bit more to do with the contract unless he had some sort of setback that no one in the world reported on then it was about his health. So I think they're just, you know, at an impact here in negotiations where the Patriots understand. Obviously they're better with Gilmour. But they don't want to commit to a contract that he wants that the moves on, you know about to turn 31 showed a little bit of a decline last year. And they've got tight books here coming up next off season because of the free agency splurge and who knows where the cows is going to be in 2023 when the TV money takes off, But of course, still more will then be 33. So none of those things settled and I think for me, Gilmore said, he could be ready for training camp but need be. Obviously he wasn't there and yeah, I had to hold in. I think that's the perfect way to put it. How much of a loss is Gilmore? I mentioned Jalen Mills. But I mean, you know, I think he's like a competent backup or a safety. But as far as replacing Stephon Gilmore, that's a huge loss. Yeah, You're absolutely right. I wrote about this the other day when you go back to Jalen Mills numbers because again, the Patriots defenses is one of the more man coverage heavy defenses in the league. So Jalen Mills in his last both season at corner where he's going to be playing at least the first six weeks here. Was the ninth worst corner in man demand coverage in the entire league in 2019, that forces ultimately had moved to safety in 2020 back with the Eagles, where he plays a little bit better in this kind of do it all role and so far through training camp. You know, Jalen Mills has been solid, but primarily in the slot and that safety for now he's going to be on the outside, and if he doesn't work out, you've got behind him. Joe Juan Williams, who has been on the roster bubble the last two seasons of former second round pick Sean Wade is a rookie. They just acquired from Baltimore, who took Wade in the fifth. Around and said, We don't need him and then Justin Bethel, who's really a break in case of emergency option is, of course, special teamer who also happens to play corner, So it's not good. I think they're lucky to the passing offenses. Aside from facing Tom Brady and Dak Prescott here in the first six weeks, maybe even seven aren't that great, But it's a problem for the defense. Um Sony, Michel traded to the Rams, who and, um, like the running back rotation situation. How do you think it plays out from Jump Street who gets the majority that carries? Damien Harris. No question. He, you know, I talked about Cam Newton getting the first read their quarterback and team periods in practice and leading off in the preceding game. That's in the case of Damien Harris, now in his third year, he's very strong. He looks a little bit more explosives in last season when he took over for Michelle at the starter, But it wasn't Damian Harris that actually, you know, knock Michelle out of Foxboro. That was reminder of Stevenson, fourth round rookie out of Oklahoma who had Perhaps the best pre season of any patriots and then J. J. Taylor 5665 ft six second year back. He's a little bit more in the scatback category kind of James white like player and so together, they provided enough depth where they just didn't need Michelle and get a graphic in return. So it'll be Damien Harris to start. But it will still be a backfield kind of by committee because that's just the way the Patriots operating Very, very interesting stuff. Fascinating to see what is going to be like when Tom Brady comes in the Foxboro to take on Mac Jones. He actually did it. People thought Andrew. He would have Cam play that game and then move on from him after that. Mac Jones against Tom Brady is going to be pretty special. Come, Is it weak for when that happens?.

"John Mark, CBS Sports or Radio one week and one day from the first Sunday in The NFL is college football. Everybody's Now playing Joining us right now to discuss what's going on up in Boston and Mac Jones being the starter is the Patriots beat writer for the Boston Herald. His name is Andrew Callahan. Follow him at underscore. Andrew Callahan. And I think, Andrew, I think you're a Penn State or aren't you? No, I covered the team for three seasons. So you know, I still kind of keep up a little bit. But no, I'm not a conciliator by definition. Good because I'm not a Penn State or either, but they do have an interesting game today at Wisconsin, and that's not kicking off right now. All right, So let me ask you I did hear you a couple times over the last few weeks in local radio in Boston, because the question that everybody is talking about obviously, is what's going to happen at quarterback, and it was almost like Damn it. Bill is going to keep Cam Newton to make them the starter. I know he's going to do it and you shouldn't do it, But he's going to do it. And Bill didn't do what everybody thought. Were you surprised? I was surprised because again, you know personally, If I'm trying to prepare a quarterback to start week one, I I would have started him at least in one preseason game or had him lead off. You know certain team periods during practice? Yes, the total number of reps you take with the starting offense. Trump. You know who gets first versus second, but Cam Newton started every preceding game. He started virtually every team period in these practices, and even when he had a five day absence because of a very preventable, avoidable reason he came back and was being the starter. So yeah, that was a surprise Me. Why did he? Why did he elect to go with Matt Jones? And you think Well, I think it's a few different reasons. One is that Mac Jones throughout the course of camp, and that means even going back to mini camp in OTA showed steady progress. And by the second week of training camp, he was definitively inarguably the better pastor. Now it wasn't a huge margin, but again with him progressing the way that he was, he's more accurate completion percentage was higher in competitive team drills, he had fewer interceptions. This is a guy that obviously the future but did enough to say he could offer you You know, as much in the president is Cam Newton could the thing was again? Belichick didn't really give him that opportunity to start games or periods in practice, And the other part was, I thought Kim Newton would have this kind of card up his sleeve, which was their option run game, which obviously is not going to run with Mac. And then, like I mentioned canvases, five days there are very preventable reason. Think it's not so much that he was unvaccinated. It's that while he's unvaccinated, he did something that hurt the team during that stretch, and you just can't have that when the Games start to count. How much did that play a factor into it? If at all, Andrew You know, only Belichick can answer that. And when we asked him as much you know this week on Wednesday, he said his vaccination status did not play a role. But it's very hard to believe that because in that same press conference, you know again. If you go back and listen to Belichick talk about Kim. It's always about how hard working is how good he is in the locker room, and that echoes a lot of what we heard from teammates. So you know, it's not the yes, but it was a stark contrast on Wednesday from everything that we heard before where Belichick wouldn't even Mention him by name, So I think something obviously bothered him. There was no we wish him well or it just didn't work out. He wouldn't say can by name. So you got that from players like Michael Bennett a couple years ago. Who, you know, had it out with an assistant coach and got suspended for a game and even got a Hey, it just it just didn't work, but he worked hard and we think birth time. None of that for camps. I think. Obviously, some part of the Covid absence irked Belichick. Do you think that Mac Jones won the job, or Cam Newton lost the job? You know, I think more to the point Mac Jones wanted. I mean, you can't have a win without a loss, right? It's not necessarily in my mind a binary conversation. But you know, and certainly didn't help himself missing five days and what was a critical point in his competition with Mac Jones because you're dealing with joint practices against the Giants. You're dealing with that third preseason game, which wasn't the quote unquote dress rehearsal. We've become accustomed to and past three seasons, but nonetheless, look, if you're this was essentially the fourth quarter of their competition, right the last week. And you can't have a quarterback suddenly disappear in the fourth quarter of the game, let alone when you're preparing for the entire season. So yes, I think Cam certainly hurt himself down Stretch. Their, um, is net. I mean, so I hope Matt Jones is ready to play being that he's the starter for this team. Um, I mean, does this change expectations? Like just for me, Andrew, I I saw the Patriots as a Maybe an eight or nine win team, and a lot of that was based on Cam Newton. How I thought he was going to play. Does Mac Jones change expectations for you? You know, I think it was evident and again. I mentioned that five day absence for Cam Newton, the joint practices they have with the Giants. Mac Jones In the last day of that absence, went 33 of 39 against the Giants starting defense in their practice. Now it's one day. It's not a game of the joint practice, but he had more time against their starting defense. That he did and anyone did in the preseason game that follows..

"All right, Let's talk about Let's talk about High school football and bishop Sycamore. I I've never seen anything like this. And I was just looking at the bishop Sycamore. Twitter account yesterday and I was just looking at it again today and You don't know what What we're talking about. They are was being called a fake high school that doesn't have classes that you get. You have this guy who kind of has these kids living in an apartment complex. And they practice once or twice a week. And then they play a team like the I M G Academy who are like that's a legitimate program, and they're losing 58 to nothing, And they somehow Hoodwinked ESPN into being broadcast on ESPN when they do Thursday night where they do high school football. And like just watching, watching the highlights from the game where they played I n G Academy, like the announcers are saying that dish of Sycamore gave them information that they had several division one prospects or that we're going the division one colleges on the roster, but they were unable to confirm that, and they even said on the broadcast like they were. They were insinuating that it was very fishy because no one can confirm anything that they're saying. So then there's reporting that's on it. And it seems like that you have a couple of guys that through an online charter school that has no real school, and there's no campus. There's no real anything other than an apartment complex, which later they've been leaving the complex and not paying or paying with a bad check. And then going through the next place. So, like, just just totally nuts. This is going on. And they're They're still out there, too. Apparently, they supposedly they fired their coach. But the games that they played this year but the opening game they lost 38 to nothing. Then they went to. I don't know who they play in Pennsylvania. It was 19 7. And then they played AMG Academy. They lost 58 to nothing. It could have been 158 to nothing. So then people start digging into the history of bishops. Sycamore, by the way, there is no Bishop Sycamore. Right, like normally when you have Bishop McDevitt or Bishop this or bishop that that's it's named after somebody. Bishop Sycamore is totally made up, and they were like lying to like young kids to players trying to get them to go there right because they were saying like they were doing, uh, Netflix was doing a documentary on them, right, Of course, again. As you said, there's no buildings. There's all lessons being tight. There's no anything There's no anything that I've been practicing no TV show being made about them. Well, actually, there is a Doc E series. Apparently, now that Kevin Hart is that that just came out, But this wasn't before they were recruiting based on like this is the place to go like this isn't even a This isn't even a a fake school, but they're really like there are really good football school, right? Like if you were if you were a fake school, but they could churn out prospects and they knew what the hell were they were doing. These coaches don't even what they're doing, and then I've been practicing. They played two games in three days. They play two games in three days. I think last year, so it had to have been last year, right? No, it was not. So they played in Pennsylvania on August 27th. They played another game on the 29th. They played two games in three days. And somehow they have. They've been able to con like I am G Academy. We'll never play them again. It's unbelievable. It really is. It's look at some of the reporting there. They've talked to some ex players. Uh, X quote unquote students that kind of take you inside of it, which is just like a bunch of high school age kids. Some kids were older 1920. 21 that weren't even of age weren't even of like high school age And so then you look at their their Twitter account and you know they're They're acting like everybody else's crazy. One of the poor kids that plays on the team. He retweeted. He puts a tweet out there of saying like, Yeah, Push up football Fake school, And there's a picture of what's probably like six or seven. Bishop sick and more kids because all the other kids are short white kids. That have other high school. Shirts on And then you're looking. You go through the comments and you have all these people are like, Yeah, their kids on our school. That's not your school. These are kids that go to other schools. And they're acting like that. This is proof that oh, everything's fine. No, we're fine. It's not like to these kids that are out there playing. It's not your fault. You want to play football. You were told that that that this school was going to give you a chance to To make it to make it to get to a college and it's been anything but that and it's an absolutely I don't know how they're not shut down by now. National scam It is a scam and a lot of the teams have already pulled back and have been like. Oh, we're out. You guys are you know this is a fraud. So Bishop Sycamore is on on their social media. Um, you know, seeking an opponent for week five. September 17th d. M s seeking an opponent October. Whatever D M s, it's like Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Their website which was once up, now it's down. It's uh, undergoing maintenance and everything like that. So, uh, very interesting. 855 to 1 to four. CBS Any Bishop Sycamore? Players out there listening. They want to give me an exclusive interview 855 to 1 to four CBS 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. We'll get you ready for the games that are coming up at 12 O'clock eastern and then at the top of next hour. 12, O'clock eastern. We're going to talk to, um to Andrew Callahan. Of the Boston Herald. Patriots beat writer for The Boston Herald as Bill Belichick makes Mac Jones the starter cuts Cam Newton will get his thoughts on that. But with the latest CBS Works Radio update Here's Kevin Dexter. "Steve have great Saturday and and go Clemson for you. That's later tonight. Yeah, I would love to see a I would love to see a Georgia Clemson game. I'd love to see a Georgia anybody game. Man, My one of my friends from high school, went to Clemson and never made it down to visit her. But just looking at her at the pictures that she would have from the games, it was like Man. Why the hell did I not go to Clemson for college? Man, some good scenery down there, But, yeah, I mean, it looked like a looked like a ton of fun down in Clemson. Um, what did you mentioned mentioned this on and later on the show. We're going to talk to, um we're going to talk to to a little Patriots football. Because I, but pretty big surprise. I mean, I don't know, like In hindsight, maybe it's not as much of a surprise as like. It makes sense that they can. Newton was released. It does, I think going into it and I even I even someone on the on CBS Sports Radio called it and asked, You think Cam Newton is gone? Or you think Cam Newton could lose the job and my mindset in perspective? At that point was That like no, I don't think he's going to lose this job. I think it makes the most sense to to start them to let them play to make sure Mac Jones is is ready to go. And and you put them in there at some point during the season of camp falters. Now, I don't think you can play a lick. I I don't even know if he's going to be back in the NFL again unless he can. Generally accept and genuinely, except that he's a backup next season. Somebody's going to invite him into to be a starter, or 22. To try to compete for the starting job. I just don't see it so like I didn't think that can it was going to be good this year. I didn't think Cam Newton was going to lead the Patriots anywhere. In fact, one of the reasons why I I looked at the Patriots and saw a seven or eight when team was because of Cam Newton. And uncertainty with with with Mac Jones but built out Chick made the right call here. He made the correct call. They could have very easily just said Hey, let's start with can see how it goes. And then undoubtedly, we're going to go to Mac Jones. Because can is stroke. He struggles to throw the football. I mean, at this point in his career, I know he's only 32 years old, but That's an old 32. I don't think he can. He can be a bona fide starting quarterback in this league anymore. And Bill Belichick didn't think so, either. So rather than then keep them around the back up where like it unless Cam Newton's comfortable with where his career is, and he says, Yeah, I'm fine with being the backup. If Matt Jones is your starter, everything that you want to do is now to help Matt Jones. So that means you're bringing in a guy like Brian Hooper got to cut to. I don't know if they're bringing him back fully. Everything needs to be about What is Mac Jones need. Let's make Mac Jones better. And the Patriots decided maybe they gave can the option of sticking around as a backup. I don't know if they did or not. But Cam Newton they made the right call. 100% made the right call. And I wonder if Mac Jones can give this team a little bit of spark. And it really, really was the right move Bell. She could have very easily very easily went went to Newton and see what happened and design their offense with a lot of running in a lot of short passes that try to help out Try to help out Cam instead, you know what he's doing. He's going with a guy that that won the job in training camp. He won the job in training camp. But a lot of the media in Boston, including Andrew Callahan of the Herald, who will have later on in the show. Like everybody just kind of assumed the bill was going to start to season with with camp. With the veteran. Why else bring them in? No, he didn't. He didn't and I, It's It's the right move. And the Patriots for me now go from, um, you know, like Borderline 500 type team, and I know they can't be 500 anymore because of, uh because they're 17 games and it's an odd number. But when I say it and like eight wins, nine wins Worst Case seven Best Case eight. Nine. I mean, I would have never said nine with Cam Newton as your starter, but I also thought that Mac Jones would start playing at some point. Uh, now you look at me, you say, like, all right, well, can they win? You're one with a rookie quarterback. How good can he be right? Like Zach Wilson has been up and down as a as a rookie very good things, but as you would expect, inexperienced young quarterback, he's going to make some mistakes. And you know you got to be okay with that right? Like he's learning on the job. And the same thing is going to happen with Mac Jones. But can the Patriots design an offence where Matt Jones doesn't have those some same type of mistakes like Let's look at real? Let's look at it fairly and realistically, um Matt Jones has it is an experience starter that's coming from a pro style offensive. Alabama where he played in big games against big opponents, and he performed very well in those games. I don't think the moment And he's got a moment coming up week four against Tom Brady. That's going to be a huge moment. But being a starter in the NFL is not going to be overwhelming Forum Zach Wilson. I expect to see some growing pains with Zach Wilson. Mac Jones. You're going to see growing pains most of the time with rookie quarterbacks. I'm not so sure you're going to see a lot with with with with Matt Jones. I really don't if Bill Belichick is cutting Cam Newton man, he's got to feel secure and comfortable with Mac Jones being that guy, because there's nobody behind Mac Jones. They didn't keep Cam Newton just in case they don't have somebody else that can step in. In case Mac Jones. All of a sudden, it's like, Wow, he's not ready..

"He didn't really have much of a senior year But prior to twenty twenty he was a decent passing downs back from michigan. So i wonder if he could push the maget p rhine trayvon williams for that gig not that. It's really a matter for fantasy other than maybe a late. Pick and best ball or in the scott fishbowl. Something like that okay. Quick follow ups on some of these news item. So i mentioned that philadelphia's running back coach didn't endorse the every down back kind of role big meatball right there. Nobody was projecting miles sanders forever. Daniel all right. So so my question is how diff- i'm guessing the answer's mix and if i ask you who gets more touch mixing or sanders if it is mixing. How much of a difference is there. In touches in your mind between mixing and miles sanders prion average of two and a half a game off the time because i think sanders i think he can still get fifteen touches per game. I think the majority of them will be carries because philadelphia's added to many back second handle passing down. Work and mixing is going to see an uptick in passing downs work. So maybe it'll come in catches and it'll just be two and a half more catches per game for nixon over mouth sanders. I have joe mixing projected for exactly one hundred more touches than mile sanders. Almost one hundred divided by seventeen lot more than two point five. Yeah wow okay How about herb smith. The viking saying his role won't be bigger this season. And actually if you look at the last four games without kyle rudolph. His numbers were. Were pretty similar to tyler. Conklin numbers and conkland was was basically uninvolved before those four games. Look he played seventy nine percent or more of the snaps in three of those last four games without rudolph so even if his role is in bigger. He's still on the field. Eighty percent of the time. Is this a big news items. You dave smith sleeper. I think it might have freaked out some people about our smith but it shouldn't because of what you said. His playing time was already pretty strong and his targets. Were pretty good in those games without a cow. Rudolph late last season. So i i think that it was mike zimmer. Talking up conklin a little bit more and insinuating mcleans going to be on the field lot. Is that second tight end. I still see irv smith. Is that top tight end. And i think our smith is still going to be worth taking as a top twelve fancy tied at k. Thing is like. I don't think the targets that we've seen have been like there's been some games where he scored some touchdowns and that was great. He had one game last year with more than five targets and those last four games he had one game with more than four targets A and that was like with cousins throwing forty times a game. He thirteen percent target share. Right now he's got. He's got ninety targets in twenty eight career games and like half of the games he more than half a majority of the games he has with more than five targets happened two years ago. Yeah okay so moving. On from smith kyle long of the chiefs now. He hurt himself so hopefully he'll be back for week one but that's not a certainty as a knee injury. Green bay tight end. Jay stern burger suspended for two games or violating the substance abuse policy. And then. i you know you mentioned the jakobi. "Where at least that discussion is happening. And what you see is the people attacking hot omar really. Don't want wanna have even a legitimate discussion. So they're they're trying to essentially polarize any the situation to prevent any like nuanced honest discussion. About how to reform the basic policy and part of the polarization is using the fact. That bigotry is leveled against her on a regular basis for their own purposes. And that's kind of what you know. Nancy pelosi can can neil and can take cloth all she wants but there is a real undercurrent of racism and islamaphobia that she and democratic leadership and the the the members of congress who initially brought this up. Debbie wasserman schultz and others. They're using that to their for their own ends. Which i find fairly gross. Absolutely conf honestly like the conflation of criticism of us policy towards israel. The conflict of that as an anti semitism is is super problematic. And and i should add. Look i think to be honest. I the anti semitism was real thing. I mean that's a real thing in this society in this world And i think that win. Honest critics of us policy who are making earnest and good fact based arguments about why israel policy us-israel policy should change are vilified dishonestly as anti semites it. Actually i believe as somebody who was jewish. I believe that that undermines the actual campaign and and cause of stopping real anti semitism in the world like it does not help the cause of stopping antisemitism to vilify honest critics of a us policy towards israel. That is clearly unfair and not working. I agree all right. Listen we just have a minute left here. You guys at the daily poster. Have a feature that I love also happens to be called you love to see and So gimme gimme in your mind this week. What did we love to see. And i should say also boy dad Folks should Should subscribe to the daily poster. I do and it is The reporting that you guys do there is really For just in general but particularly for an independent outfit is really really impressive. Thank you. I appreciate it. So what do i love to see this week. I mean one. We talked about the drawing. A line in the seventies reddit of drawing a line in the sand. We haven't seen that in the longtime you saw. Main begin to divest from fossil fuels. Which is i believe. It's the first state pension fund is going to start pulling money out of fossil fuels doesn't seem seems kind of technical issue. That's a huge issue. The amount of pension money that is essentially propping up the fossil fuel industry is huge. And then this. This didn't happen to happen at the end of last week. The shareholder situation at exxon where shareholders rose up and changed members of. exxon's board. I mean this really. That never ever happens. So shareholders having more and more success in trying to force companies to change that to me. I mean we pay so much attention to congress and washington. What but like if you can actually change a company. Like exxon. And i'm not. I'm not a first step. It's not like everything's changed but if you can actually move a company as big and powerful as exxon even a little bit that has like serious global implications so those are my three if it's road Daily poster always a pleasure. Thanks so much for coming on. Thanks thanks for having me. It's great to see both you. Thanks david all right quick break. We'll be right back and then wrap things up All right folks. If you're watching us on peacock that is our week and i will be back on monday with more with more as as trump would say bye. Bye bye bye. Bye bye shock. We will see you on monday. David sirotta join us to look back on the week in politics then later second hour. We'll be talking to andrew callahan of channel five or formerly all gas in no breaks while trump justice department secretly subpoenaed house intel democrats and staff and family. "Maybe why did you say that like you were just like walking onto like Like Some on that was frozen. You weren't don't technically stream to the discord. This is what i why i was Five yeah i get it and we. Hopefully we'll be talking to andrew callahan in just a moment but haven't Caught up with them yet Let's play this clip so We're all wondering the You know the elections going to be reversed in august which is always like the typical time that you have elections in the united states reversed. I mean do a certain extent trump trying to recapture the fire. They shut down his blog. five days. think it was twenty nine. Please give them credit twenty nine days of blogging. Maybe tired of blogging. But maybe it was also like nobody is reading it which nobody the reporting was. He was frustrated that the the blog didn't have Hasn't been to israel it's no hullaballoo. Gotta say well you know and there is. There's a good argument. What happens in terms of like d platforming Here is oh yeah no shoutout twitch but here is lara trump on fox and friends. Apparently she's out of the loop. What about this story. That president trump is thinking that he's going to be placed into office in august. Is that true. Is he mentioned that to you. Because i think twenty four hours a day the networks running with that story. Well i think you should take a look at who those networks are who is pushing that story out As far as i know there are no plans for donald trump to be in the white house in august. I maybe there's something. I don't know brian but but no. I think that that is a lot of folks getting a little worked up about something just because maybe there wasn't enough push back from the republican side so no i have not heard any plans for donald trump to installed in the white house on august. You just blew up all their programming for the next seventy two hours guy. It's okay now. She doesn't know anything she's not in the know. She's the wife of eric right. I mean please eric's not in on eric's in on the plans. It's he's got a tight. Circle of sydney powell rudy giuliani. And then maybe don jr. can come in all coped out in such. I will bet you. I don't know what we could bet. But i will bet you know the rest of those almonds you got over there. It's very small amount. Look at this guys. i'm not going. I'm not going four hog here but that you noticed it. When she responded there are no plans for donald trump to be installed in august and which she said the second time there are no plans for donald trump to be installed in august. Whatever it's going to be on four chan wherever they're doing i q these days now. It's apparently being accused been replaced with be am derailing your train of thought. I'll say this in a little bit. I'm quite convinced what they're say is not the matt the whatever. The mechanism happens in august. He gets installed in september. That's why she didn't say there's no she could have said there are no plans for donald trump to be installed into the presidency or she could have said something like well. That's ridiculous. he lost the election. That's one way of if you wanted to really didn't want that speculation out there. You'd say you know that's ridiculous. He didn't win the election. He's not the president. He may run again at twenty twenty four but no she just said not going to be installed in august they. Yeah right well. I mean she she. She played both ways there. But i think what they're going to try to do is they're going to keep pushing the deadline for his installation Implantation in the white house into the oval office in to you know to november twenty twenty two. They're going to keep riding that wave through the midterms just to like keep him relevant. And also i mean mitch mcconnell's like shore if we're going to stir up some of this queue energy. I'm all for it. Yeah they'll use it no no doubt Near lose it or use it or lose it is basically what it comes down to all right. Let's leafy isn't have a twitter account. Yeah i think we'll see all right. Let's keep on with the show. I guess we should Head into the fun half sure do that. We will take some phone calls. Yeah man look how small little girl's hair as much as the next guy. best buy. But this game starring right in the head. Man my granddad. He told me never trust a man with a beard. That black man in a right. That's good advice. That is good advice from your dad. You're not certain make sense. Here is getting more coherent as this goes okay. Now i signed. He died of brain cancer. And i thought that was a bad experience but i just watched drama alert. And let me tell you. That was worse man. If you're a really waddling down old man winter homes that say findings are melt luncheon and salman down by abandoned beer or myself. Go all right. I mean i'm happy to hear that somebody's finally doing something about the king star problem. You wanna okay. Well did you. Did you see that everyone was roasting him on twitter. I guess you're you follow you. All keep star drama. I mean you're the president with them. Fuck you never play the guitar. What fellow wants a real son of a bird street. As a matter of fact the guitar playing was made of birds beautiful grains in the word lifetime star on the call. Okay all right. All right enough Joe biden unless we we've got andrew callahan of all gas. No breaks has got an absolutely incredible story to tell he used to run all gas. No breaks the beloved channel that we've had on the show super-popular amazing kind of journalistic comedy show. And he had like a really dramatic break-up with his partners. I guess you would say on. August no breaks and started a new channel channel five on youtube. You can subscribe following patriot channel five anyway. I've got andrew on the line. And i we're gonna talk to about all this and all of his new contents gonna be great. Okay we have with us today. The one and only andrew callahan four. The artist formerly known as all gas. No brakes now known as channel five. Hey what's up man. It's been a long time. It has been a long time. I love you. i love your content. And i'm just very because you you guess our podcast in a popular guest to people love people just love you and your content and hearing you talk and i'm absolutely fascinated riveted by the switch up to channel five from all gas no breaks. This is very interesting low. Business would could you say drama. i dislike. I didn't expect a channel to be that big. I didn't expect to get better. Ugly wants You know it came down to it but it was a it was a weird transition but like if it was really hard to give up something that is like like your child. You know like you spend so much time putting effort into something and you feel so much like pride about it. But at the end of the day. I had to sacrifice gas no breaks to be independent. So i'm happy that i did that. So tell me what happened. So basically like So around six months ago save like november december. Started shooting a movie. With tim and eric. And a couple of other partners like we've yet to announce but basically like i was shooting full-time for the absolutely tim and eric. Movie and Basically the company that i used to work for doing things media who owned all gasman break so i signed the contract with when i was super young. They were kind of being like. Oh like it's cleared in the movie. We need you to make make more content like basically work double duty to make the movie and the the instagram youtube show august Breaks and couldn't do like. I literally couldn't do like i was works shooting like almost seven days a week for the absolutely and all that and so. I told you mike go. I will do it. That i need like a little bit. More of a percentage. Because when i signed the deal around that time i was only making twenty percent of money from the show that getting to clarify for people listening. Because we've talked about this privately. Twenty percent of the ad revenue twenty percent of the merch and twenty percent of the patriot. Which has had quite large. Yeah it was making like almost one hundred thousand dollars plus a month drugs. Twenty percent of that. But you know. I'm not gonna blame the company. I signed the deal. When i was super young august. No break started with me hitchhiking across the country reading stories about it. Like i told you they bought me the fuck. I didn't even care about the money. I just love to be on the road like diving into weird shit all the time. I wasn't thinking about like. Oh i need to make as much money as i could man. I was like twenty one years old. I didn't i didn't expect things to evolve so much and go down so quickly. But he's had some shooting for the movie under a lot of pressure to make more videos Basically okay you know. I'll make more videos if you give me more of a percentage i'm saying this all came on the new york times you know I was like you know if you want me to make more videos for you. While i'm in the movie in a little bit more like money you know 'cause it's like i don't wanna work two jobs getting paid for two jobs worth look you bring your own the channel your grind at a certain point you got to visit that contract right but especially like i couldn't even make all gas no breaks videos if i wanted to because i was shooting constantly for this movie which hopefully will be announcing and were they. Were they involved in this movie at all because you are doing that as andrew kellyanne or their partners but certainly. They want thirty noon piece of that. What do they want from you. Well i mean obviously the digital show is more profitable than the movie like. You can make more money off of youtube in patriots on then you can move especially like a moving by come out in eight months from when you start. A movie. might come out for them. It's like they wanted like money right. Then they're there. They're making eighty percent of money from the show that i was making a basically by myself so they said no to my offer things kinda got kind of stopped talking to them. Things went sour and then they fired. Nikola evan via email. Your who you started out with going rb with. Yeah yeah yeah. They fired them. And this is whenever we were like sleeping in the rv In the cold in philadelphia at the walmart they got termination notices in their email. I was like flux. Our guys like you're out of a job. I don't know what to tell you ugly hard for me to do. But then they ultimately just like that point. I was like. I wanted to get out of the contract. You know i was like this is crazy like my two best friends is required. I can't do this. So i started not making any videos. I was going to make this movie all the time. And then they sent me a some in the mail. It said that if i didn't produce a certain amount of pieces of patriarch content like the march. I it's not quite sure. I'd be terminated and then the define me in the middle of shooting for the movie that's such this mix at like short not only like dushi but like so shortsighted. I mean y'all could work really confusing. I mean if they would have said yes to my offer probably would still be doing august no breaks because i wanted to make it work. I didn't want to say goodbye to my show forever. You know and just have it be this thing but i worked so hard on that i have no control over but at the end of the day like i'm having more fun with channel five patriots pop pop like youtube numbers are pretty good. You know like it feels good to own my own masters now and not have to answer to anybody so at the end of the day like it was a small setback for. I think we'll be like a better return. Yeah part of the reason. I wanted to talk to you. Today's want people to know. Andrew is on channel five and if you are supporting them on patriot on aug no breaks. All that's going to these these Fuck in goons. Who stole the show for me. I don't give a fuck. I'll say you don't have to say it..

"That is outrageous. I cannot believe this information. I have a lotta. She was at the last supper. holy wake. she's judah isn't that judas. judas sat. I i i don't know holy maybe hits little late on that sound drop. I cannot believe what i've learned about. Trish beta. There's no such thing as a coincidence. No such thing as the coin that tripped me out so we had to do a whole thing about it. I gotta ask her about this. It seems like she's in a sexual relationship with them in front of you. Totally honest or that girl. Especially they're just. They're just being girls really a night out. I don't know. I don't i don't make my is like that. Maybe i should start. I don't looks like she's trying to talk. If i'm interpreting what. I'm looking at gotta ask her about this man. I'm gonna come anyway so there's some head so we've got quite a show here coming up. We've got andrew callahan. Formerly from all gas no brakes calling in and a little bit to discuss his new channel. Basically is a really interesting story. Behind his departure from all gas no breaks a show that we love and his establishing of channel five so looking for that. And until then did you get a. I'm having a hard time. This is a big drama on youtube. Minecraft drama dream is this minecraft youtube speed runner. Who's like catapulted to fame if you go to his channel here. Gosh he his twenty two million. But i feel like he just got started like a year ago. Twenty three million subs just watching my algorithms get crushed right. And his he's got these these migrated is that have like thirty two nine hundred million views. I'm not putting a value judgment. I don't know anything about microbes. I'm not saying like oh this content stupid. I don't you know i don't know clearly. It's good people love it. You know. Do any of you guys. Don't think about dream i. I was aware of him just because his presence on the internet is kind of hard to avoid. I think he's been big. I think he's been growing for a while. You know i. it wasn't just recently. Although i agree. It's i feel like i heard about them. You know in the last year. It seems like he's really just everywhere. We'll hold on his oldest. I don't know if you race. But his oldest videos from one year ago he must race against social blade for that channel right now and it was created in two thousand fourteen So the the at least the channels been around for a lot longer than this time last year. He had just over two million subs. Wow wow so. In one year's time he's gained twenty one million suburbs right so the guy. He's apparently this minecraft savant. Who's been breaking records and doing all this crazy shit. But like what's interesting to me is that he's been accused of cheating quite a bit and he's gotten into fee there's like it reminds me of the king of kong documentary where pretty similar. It's it's the all these people get into it about a donkey kong. Who was the top. Someone's accused of cheating. It's all this so dramatic but it's sooner -taining so love has been in dispute with the minecraft. Mods did you just you just said love has been dream. Love what he lets. Let's love didn't realize you were in law that in mind cryptos for no. That's that's literally wondering what is love screen. What's with this so he's been accused of cheating by the mod's k. Of the speed run website and he and then he even went so far to prove that he's not cheating is a he hired some mat. Harvard mathematician to write proofs about how he's not stealing and it's boiled up to the point. Where here let let me i. It's it's i cannot believe the drama of all this. Let me show you guys. First of all some of dreams world records. Because i don't even know.

Josh if we had guests would share a product an item, a thought an idea what we did an experience podcast anything at all it's our show until its elements school being relived are moment amish Louis couldn't wait for on Fridays we can bring in something to show and so at the class and that's what we do here with the listeners and so I have something today do you gentlemen have something to Asia Show? You guys are horrible people and that's why you don't deserve more money. Show into our. Is a great experience and. Feel like utter shit when I would forget it. So I will never forget a show until you guys don't forget show until they work. This is a very special moment for his So go ahead and Adam you will start since you sound enthusiast I. Got You need time to stall seen come up with. Any. The. Principal. So might kind of a weird to furniture back. So it's a youtube channel and then specifically interview with the guy who made that youtube channel on Youtube Channel is called all gas no breaks if you've never seen it essentially, what is guy who goes out and awkwardly interviews people who are in like different events that Naacp for really? Weird situation. So for instance he's he's gone and he's interviewed people who are. Like at the beach certain Kobe. Protesting against the lockdown he's gone in his interview people have flatter conventions or he's gone an interview people at Convention just all these different things and essentially the thing that I wanted to recommend though is the h three podcasts did an interview with him his name's Andrew Callahan, and the story is just so fascinating I mean essentially game and his best friend from high school and his best friend. From college just got an RV and started going around the country just going to different events and filming just the craziest people they could find that these events and Andrew just has. It's amazing deadpan sort of UH style of interviewing that reminds me a little bit of Lake Up Nathan fielder from David for you in a weird way I wonder if he's inspired by mental but that being said. Really funny the Youtube. Channel. But the interview itself was like Nah it was so cool to me because he just got signed by Tim and Eric's Production Company and this is basically a kid who just. took a risk took a huge risk just to try and travel the world and. Interview People, and he tells some crazy stories on his gas of. Hitchhiking and different He tells one story that's wild about how essentially eighteen he just went hitchhiking he just to try to attract across the country but he has a lot of really fantastic stories in the podcast the the channel itself is pretty hilarious and some of those videos just oh my God, the the people are just so loud and what was the name of the podcast with the interview? Yes. So the podcast is called the h three podcast. Again, the Youtube channel is all gas no breaks Gotcha h three podcasts. Okay. I'll. They've ever listened to it the check it out Josh. Do you have anything? I've got a couple of your case. Cheap here you don't get to bring a couple of things. So the party. I'm just can't understand. This kid. Just never. Get okay. So in Oklahoma City, there are these motorized scooters that are becoming more and more popular and I just want to tell people that you're going to write these things especially in the streets you need to very careful and dark against I sell are. Making a left. Choose crossing lane of traffic and she got absolutely creamed card and how do you always see this? It made the worst sound you ever. In pain be careful think she was okay I think you're like bad luck got like bad omens yeah. Can't. Get. By. Cars reminding the never hang out with Josh purse. And say is done with downtown Oklahoma City maybe for the rest of my life yeah, I was Gonna say that was a public service announcement about the scooters or more just not hang out with Josh this way. because. It gets dangerous. Against bursary happened whenever mind okay. So the second thing is a lot simpler. Hamas if you eat Hamas. Put some harp on it. I started putting hot sauce on my heart words and it's like my favorite thing now is there something wrong? I'm not really into homeless. Something I need to deliver it. You live in Florida I was GonNa say the same thing about Josh but hot sauce on Amish you probably just getting should he says it's fine. You guys go to. Office it's not like living in a city where you can buy from people who make come and that's what they do and the only reason that their business survives because people go there to buy helmets because those places exist in Chicago. Style hot sauce homeless shop in Chicago I mean it sounds good like I'd probably put hot sauce some not really not gonNA, but you're probably only putting it on there because the amish isn't good enough.
