"And so you say that you're seeing the gospel spread in Iran? Yes. Absolutely. So my PhD is an intercultural studies. It's another way to say missiology. And so I get to look at statistics, but I also get to see firsthand what is happening and how the gospel is spreading and we see converts from Islam to Christianity every day. Right now, and this is the most liberal number, the most conservative number they would say is 500,000. But I think that's much too low. We have around 7 million converts in Iran to Christianity. And that is significant because when the last 40 years, they've been under this Islamic suppression under Sri a law. And these young people are looking at this saying, if this is what God is like, I don't believe in God. They're turning to atheism, but it's not atheism in America. It's Muslim atheism. And as soon as they're interested. What is to Jesus? Yeah, Muslim atheism is that they're rejecting the God of Islam, which is not the God of the Bible. And because that's what they've grown up to. What is the difference then? The difference is that the Muslim God is a monotheistic God in all of the Quran, God is not mentioned as love one time. Is that right? Not one time. And he's only mentioned as kind once, but that is in the context of that when you go to heaven, you get virgins. So God is kind because that's the context. That's the only good thing you can see there about that. And it's also a religion of conquest by the sword. It's by Jihad. And in the Bible, it's the opposite. You love your enemies even. You pray for those of the persecute you. And Islam is the opposite. If you truly want to be a fundamental conservative, real Muslim, then you're going to apply it the way that is. The God that requires submission. That's right, right, which literally is what the word means. That's right. So you say, sorry, I interrupted you. You said Muslim atheist. Yeah, so I call them atheists from a Muslim background. And what happens is they've rejected the Muslim God because they think, well, the Christian God must be the same because they don't know. I mean, if it's illegal to convert from Islam to Christianity, it's a capital punishment in Iran, like it is in Pakistan. You will be killed for it. And so they don't have the option to even find a Bible, find a Christian. And so when they do, they're like, oh, this is not the God of Islam. This is a good God. This is a God of love. He even sent his son to die on the cross for our sins. He loved us that much. And it's his work, not our work. And it changes them. I've seen so many conversions, even in turkey. In turkey, we've seen, you know, since 1970, I would say, there was one Turkish Christian. One, now we have over 8000. And we actually can quantify that. We can do studies. We have a 175 churches, 8000 Christians in turkey. That's right. These are converts, though. Got it. Are there any churches allowed in turkey? Yes. Yes, there have been. But just don't get too loud, is what they say, right? Right. That's right. Stay in your corner. They're still trying to make them live as a second class citizen. If you proselytize, you're going to be shut down. Yeah. And they try to do it a little bit in the shadows. They don't want to have an international press problem. But they're good, right? I don't know what Andrew Brunson. He's one of my friends. He was in prison. A Turkish prison for two years as a missionary with the EPC church. And it took Trump to get him out. Obama wouldn't do a thing at that time. That's true. That's true. So in closing here, you see hope for the gospel in the Middle East. Oh, absolutely. There's one of my favorite verses as Jeremiah 51 44 in God prophesies saying he is going to take all that the God bell has swallowed and take them and take them back. He says that he's going to remove all of the worship that was going to bell. And bell was a God. You don't even know what Belle is today because God's word is true. And I truly believe that as the gospel goes forth in these regions, and it's happening that there's going to be a day that Islam is no longer remembered. And those that have been going to the false God of Islam, they're going to be taken back to the true God. Jesus Christ. And I see that happening wide scale. And this can be found on the Internet. Anybody can study this. Your name and organization one last time. Yeah, my name is Jacob parsley. And I'm not with an organization. How can people contact you? Yeah, so I'm on Instagram at ambassador of the king. I'm also on Facebook. They can follow her on Facebook. And also on YouTube. So I have channels and God bless you. Thanks. Thank you so much for your great appreciate it. Thanks so much for listening, everybody. Email me your thoughts as always freedom at Charlie Kirk dot com. Thank you so much for listening. God bless. "Tell us about the Armenian Genocide. So in 1894, there was a massacre of around 200,000 Armenians, and this was done by sultan Hamid the second. And he basically the Christians living in the Ottoman Empire at that time were under this thing called Demi status under Demi too and they had different laws they had to adhere to as second class citizens. So if any Armenian would transgress their law, they were collectively punished by the Ottoman government. Not individually. Collective punishment. Because let's say, for example, it was illegal to share the gospel with a Muslim or if you had a church and the cross kind of fell. If you wanted to put the cross back up, that was illegal. You had to go through all of these. There's a whole list of laws, a Dimitri laws. And they were not allowed to own weapons to defend themselves. Their testimony was worth half a Muslim, so they had a lot of oppression. And there was an incident happened in an area of turkey where the Ottomans saying we're just going to massacre these people. And they did that started in 1894 to 1896. Systemic planned. Yes, murder. Right. And then there's this group that you have heard of called the Young Turks that come along. I've heard about, I don't know if you know this in America. Oh yeah. But there's a media organization called the Young Turks. Oh yeah, when I got along very well. I was shocked, Kirk. I was like, that's like calling your organization the Nazi. You hurt their youth. We're not. It's that bad. Oh, it is that bad.

"Right now i almost. I mean it plummeted because of his angling evacuate. And that's why it's always best. You do the right thing. You listen to the american people but then you do the right thing. Something that this president wasn't willing to do no well. There's no courage and there's also no moral courage. It seems like and i think that even though not everyone is a foreign policy expert. No-one especially i would say The conservative side especially middle america. Who was tuning into all this. We know we know that we don't like to be humiliated. We don't like to lose. We know that we should not be losing to the taliban. And we shouldn't be taking cues or taking orders from the taliban. We know what it means to prioritize american citizen. So that's why. I think that the whole message of like empathetic joe. Compassionate joe is going to come along and bring normalcy to the united states. It just didn't work on a lot of people who maybe even didn't love donald trump because at least what they saw donald trump with some kind of strength. They saw that he went and got otto warmbier. They saw that he went and got andrew brunson. They saw that. He killed all the mani or he ordered the killing of soul mani and then posted american flag afterwards. And maybe that's not the most profound understanding of foreign policy. But americans average americans can tell the difference they can talent difference between someone like joe biden. Who will not take questions. Who when he goes a little bit off script or when someone asks a question that he wasn't briefed on before or that he didn't get beforehand just literally turned his back and walks away. People see the difference between those two things. They're willing to forgive a lot of faults that trump had in order to have a leader that they feel like they can trust that. Okay if something goes bad for them. When they're abroad they feel like trump's administration would come rescue them and stand up for them and things like that. That kind of stuff matters that kinda stuff matters. I just don't know of joe biden is going to. I don't know if he's going to be able to salvage this at all. You know anything about to that that that preciousness of american citizenship it really goes hand in glove with the open borders conscious as of liberal democrats. To if you if you don't believe in borders in control of your own borders you necessarily can't appreciate the significance of of american citizenship right of who we are as people what we've bought into to participate on as a society in citizens of this country building a community together. If you don't appreciate that that it makes perfect sense of there. Isn't this special attention to american citizens abroad. But there was iranian that iranian american citizen who the iranians tried to kidnap to kill recently a few weeks ago right and it was almost like the by administration. You know it's like oh they. It was a strangest muted response from the mine administration on that. What was major. She is an american citizen and americans. This is the first. The primary responsibility of our elected leaders is to provide for the security of the american people. And it's just. Joe biden is he is out to lunch on this ready to move onto the next thing hoping that the media is just going to let this die and then go on and give them positive coverage i. I think that really this is what of the emperor has no clothes. We can all see what kind of leader he is in what he isn't and it about crisis of confidence in your leader. I can sense that with my family. My friends back home in the rural midwest. I mean people are just feeling totally deflated and again. It's at sense. Just giving unnerved that words have yet no captain on this ship. Yeah i'm not.

"This. Can you. Offer guaranteed to the americans and afghan allies that if they remain there past the end of the month. Us troops local them evacuate the end of the month. Leisure are are focused. Right now. is undoing. The work at hand and on the task hand and that is day by day getting as many american citizens as many applicants as many members of of vulnerable population who are eligible to be evacuated to the airport and out on planes so she's not guaranteeing it she's not. They're not guarantee that they are going to get all americans out. I guess maybe if you want to be generous if you want to be charitable you could save if that was her saying basically. We're going to try there. Should be a guarantee and this is what people on. Both sides of the aisle are very upset about not that he left. Although like. i said there are people who don't agree with leaving it all but because of how. Obviously haphazardly this was done with seemingly no plan for contingencies. We know that american intelligence saw the very real possibility of a speedy taliban takeover and yet we didn't make the preparations to ensure our own people in our allies would be protected and we are still. We're still not promising that that's going to happen. That is a huge shift from president trump whether you loved him or hated him. If there's one thing trump hated himself was was the idea of america being humiliated you may remember when he directed the killing of sulejmani the lead iranian terrorists and just tweeted afterward too soon as it happened. This huge american american flag on twitter. I remember when he threatened north korea when they threatened to use their nukes and he said that they will be met with fire fury and frankly power the likes of which the world has never seen. Also don't forget that iconic tweet to the iranian president. A few years ago he said to iranian president ruhani never in all caps never ever threaten the united states again or you will suffer consequences. The likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before we are no longer a country that will stand for your demented or it's a violent in debt. Be cautious and we can laugh at that. I'm kind of laughing at it myself. Just because it's so iconic classically trump and maybe you could say oh well they're just tweets. They're not real strength their inconsequential. But that's not true because it was actually match with strong foreign policy that led to the dwindling of isis the killing of the head terrorist of iran agreements for peace abraham accords. Like we've never seen prior prioritization of american lives. His administration rescued pastor andrew. Brunson whom we've had on this podcast. Who was imprisoned in turkey for preaching the gospel while obama and biden. We're still in the white house. He also rescued. The trump administration also rescued otto warmbier. Who was imprisoned and tortured in north korea. While obama was still president. I mean that was one of just the most gruesome terrible heart breaking stories. I think that we've read in the past few years. Trump made it his priority to get him out to put americans. I in a way that quite frankly and honestly objectively the obama administration did not now. I complained about trump. He was in office especially toward the end..

"Said as a matter of fact i did and she said that's why would a pray for you so it. It was just an amazing time and Andrew has gone on like his written. The book called god's hostage he will be joining us at the religious freedom summit july thirteen. Yeah tell us about this summit pam because here's one way that people can learn more about this and maybe even do something about it. You've pulled together people from all over the world from all different faiths to come to washington. Dc here in july. Tell us a little bit about that. And who's speaking and and what we're going to get. We're even going to have a video that sent to us by the dalai lama. Not really this is not. Art is involved yeah. He didn't even speak that much right. So cardinal dolan out of new york. It's it's a who's who and here's how people can find out about it frank if you go to. Www dot earth summit i r. f. as in frank couric i r f summit dot com dot com. It's not an org or dot gov because it's being done on the outside by civil society july thirteen to fifteen in person at the omni shoreham here in washington. Dc for still time to sign up. You can still come. I'm even I i know this is going to be airing a little bit closer to the time. And it doesn't matter you can still come. And they're it's starts on the thirteenth and it is multi faith and it's really a who's who of all kinds of faith people that are going to be there not nudist. You even have an imam who obviously is a moderate well. In fact as we mentioned at the top of the program that the boko haram people are out there in. Nigeria are not just killing christians. They're killing muslims. Don't agree with them. Yeah i guess they will be at the religious freedom summit. I don't think there are some muslims who will be who are more moderate in their viewpoint. Obviously lance so you're bringing everybody together that you can get to talk about these issues and on that website you'll see all these speakers master andrew brunson's one of them never say well. I is out of the Philippines malaysia really the largest population of muslims. And he has to be a real A real voice of reason in there. And you know you're kinda surprised. He's able to continue his life because there are so many people that want to take simon so slides but one of the good things about this. Frank is it just allows us to focus and there are great civil society organizations around the religious freedom institute twenty first century wilberforce christians for middle east peace. There are I could go on and on with lists and lists of the aid to the christian church Many many civil society organizations and one of the things that we spawn while we were there. There's always been a religious freedom secretary and if you will a roundtable but sam brownback made sure that that mitt every single tuesday that he was in town and now there are religious freedom roundtables around the world. And that's one of the things we're going to be challenging people. This time is to start more. Religious freedom roundtables in countries bunch. Like we have an frank to start them domestically too so that people can go back in their states or counties or communities bring together not not like we used to in You know the all faith mostly led by main mainline protestant organizations and they would meet not do much but really what can we do to really encourage religious freedom around the world will check it out. Ladies and gentlemen i r f summit dot com that stanford international religious freedom summit dot com july thirteenth of the fifteen in our nation's capital sam. I'm pam pryor has really organized this long sam and others. This is the place to go talk and learn more about religious freedom. We got more with pam prior right after the break. You're listening to. I don't have enough faith to be an atheist with frank kirk back into welcome back to. I don't have faith. Atheists pam pryor is with me today she served in the state department way up the food chain doing good things for religious freedom around the world and pam. We haven't really got to this yet. We're almost done with the program. And i haven't really asked you. What are some of the successes and challenges. You had while you were at the state before you are nine. Got you mentioned bronx. And that was a big success huge. It was huge We owe frank wanting thing in. This isn't just religious freedom. But remember what i said out of religious freedom flows so many other rights which is why by the way our framers the framers of the constitution put it in the first amendment. It's not just an afterthought it is right up there as important we have something called the geneva consensus declaration thirty four thirty six countries that came together and said we are pro-life we are unequivocally pro-life and that happened on our watch and i had to go out and get some countries it was here. They sent me to get the easy countries like saudi arabia. And so if i was talking to them and talking to the princess who is the ambassador to the us but they signed the document saying that they were pro-life because we knew look trends. It's like you said frank Dare win when republicans come in. It's just different than democrats. We are pro-life day one. We institute mexico city language. We really promote religious freedom. There are things we just do different. That's why there's two parties and so of course when they came here. Nate tore down the geneva consensus but we did have some great successes. So remember i was. In charge of international organizations we had the Presidency of the security council which rotates the security council was under me and through the un and president trump and secretary general gutierrez sh and mike pompeo and mike pence all did a panel on religious freedom. The first time ever at the united nations first time ever since so many i first time ever that a sitting president welcome survivors of religious freedom into the oval office. And oh frank what a time that was. We had over forty different survivors off face of of religious persecution that met with trump Pastor paula white and embassador brownback were there. It was supposed to be ten minute grip and grin get picture. Everybody leave but you. And i both know donald trump. That wasn't going to happen. He wanted to hear. Every story is a christian lady and a believe an era tria. Who's actually held in a container box like a Like something put on the back of the semi held in a container for thirteen months. Never got out of that box and he was like what kind of animals are these he on. Frank asked.

Why atheist need god to make their case. Check that out beginning august. Second my guest today. Pam pryor was way up the food chain there in the state department. And by the way pam before we get to pay a pastor brunson who as you say was held against his will in turkey for quite a while. Tell us a little bit about sam brownback and the position that president trump put him in. I think that was the first time ever. Religious freedom position was created at that level within the state department. Is that right well. It was the first time. Someone of sam's level was in that his position frank was actually mandated by the religious freedom. Act in congress that frank wolf Wasn't always filled but there has been lots of lots of good people but sam. I love talking about sam. Sam was governor. Senator congressman of chances agriculture. Head in kansas. So to elevate that ambassadorship because it's an ambassador at large which means you don't have a country also means you don't have a house or a car and driver but it means that he was really the face of religious freedom in the world now. What was good about having someone at his level is first off. Countries respect the us and when we send diplomats over. But when you send a diplomat over who has been governor in a senator. It really catches the attention of people. So sam was able to really do a lot of good. And sam by the way i know. We're gonna talk about a little bit later. But sam was the driving force in this year's religious freedom summit that's going to really be handled by ngos that non-governmental organizations civil society. Sam thought just because we're out of power that doesn't mean we still can't influence the world so it was really his idea to to keep going with that and she said when my favorite people in the world andrew brunson is going to be there. Yeah and we're gonna talk about what that event is here in just a few minutes but tell us what happened to andrew. Bra happened to meet him here in charlotte six eight months ago. What happened him in turkey. Yeah he's just such a your. Here's what people don't understand. He and his wife naureen had been missionaries in turkey for twenty. Some years had had an evangelical congregation there and when erta one came in as his true with a lot of people that amass power incorrectly and are worried about their power. He started clamping down. You remember there. Was that little insurrection and they. They stifled that well. They tried to say that andrew was part of that is not true. It wasn't even anywhere near it. They came in rounded up rounded him. Up brought him in set him. Free brought him back imprisoned. Him of sort of a kangaroo court said that he was guilty of overthrowing the government but he knew as we all did it was really because of his faith and what was going on so he was in jail. Almost two and a half years went in in sixteen. And the thing that i really loved about the trump administration is we. Don't leave americans in jail. We went after him in fact early on. Can you all remember when i it's still in my mind. The three north koreans that trump and pompeo brought back middle of the night three. Am they went to andrews an tells a great story. They were christians and they wrote him of verse on a card that he's kept in how thrilled they were to be back on american soil. Well andrew brunson happened to fall into that pack and The obama administration did nothing to get him out in so we took it up as a cause celebre and really was also frank. I'll tell you it was the american church too. There was more prayer for andrew brunson in fact a lot of times when i talk about him. That will who sat. And i do remember praying for that pastor to boot hall yes. There was tons of prayer in the american american church. Really got his 'cause going vice president pence knew about it talked about it in so in our religious freedom. The first one we did in twenty eighteen we had his daughter speak and she was pretty hard boiled. She had watched her dad's tougher and so she was going to speak. And i was introducing her and i do. I said jacqueline The one thing. I would love to do sometime. Hopefully before this administration is over able to be at andrews and your dad feet touch american soil so she got up to speak frank and she was talking about she had just recently got married and she said we had a civil service and she said. I have to be a believer. I believe in the sanctity of marriage. But we had a civil service. Because i wanted my dad to marry me. She starts sobbing. The entire room starts crying and here. Was this kind of hard edge girl who you know what it is when you're under a lot of emotional duress don't wanna go there and she cried. We're all crying so she said you know i. My dad needs to come back. She had testified in congress on her father that night or two one put him on house arrest and i was definitely in reaction. He saw what was happening so the next day at the religious freedom summit mike pence was speaking and he looked right in the camera and pointed his finger in he said cresent erta one not good enough house. Arrest means still. He's under arrest. Want our american citizen back and that was in july and i believe it was october thirteenth. It's in his book. God's hostage we got word that he was going to be released And i got to go to andrews air force base and We stayed back. Those of us were not part of his family. As family goes out on the tarmac and down the steps off of an planning emblazoned with the united states seal and there is nothing like seeing one of those you saw. Franklin you were here in the military and andrew brunson Stepped off the plane and he had one son who had not seen in a long time and such a great picture of god being wrapped his son in his arms and his other kids and We gave them just a moment. And i wrote back in a suv convoy and he. We had guns drawn. Because we didn't know you know what this going to do because he'd become such a celebrity and man when you're in an suv convoy you know. They drive this far apart from each other at sixty miles an hour. And i thought i knew they wouldn't want to kill us because we worked so hard to get frank or to get andrew out of their frank. I knew that we would get there safely then. Meet with. The president has to go in the week go into the oval office..

"Be able to have no faith because there are places in in the world sometimes. They'll hobby part of saudi arabia. Some of those lost the apostasy laws in pakistan this. She can't say you even a joke. You can't make a joke about a lot. And those things are punishable by death. We think that's extreme. And so we believe that when you have an open pluralistic religious society. Better things happen for people it was. Why our founders. Frank came to this country. Despite how we wanna whitewash pilgrims there was a religious freedom element there and they wanted to worship as they want it and we still have the church of england in this country and we also have first baptists in fourth presbyterian and cornerstone chapel leesburg. So we have lots of places that have come out of that and by the way friends. we're talking to pay him prior. Who worked in the state department on religious freedom issues. This is one reason among many that christians have to be politically engaged because the the rights that we have to engage in our faith not just worship but our ability to live out. Our faith is partially determined by the laws that are made politically. I mean. just look at the difference between north korea and south korea. Friends i mean. Would you rather live in north korea. South korea obviously south korea. Why because they have political and religious freedom. You don't have that north korea so the laws that are made in your government are important to your religious life. If for no other reason you ought to be involved politically. That's one of the reasons you ought to be involved. That's why appreciate people like paying prior who get into the trenches in the government to try and support religious freedom around the world. Now pam you said. Eighty three percent of people out there are oppressed in some way religiously. They don't have the kind of religious freedom that we might have here in america. What are some of the countries that we ought to pay attention to. I'm gonna with regard to this problem. Well all of them a let me just go with pakistan secretary pompeo designated pakistan a country of particular concern in two thousand nineteen and this is because They were imprisoning people of they. Were saying if you denounced. Islam became a believer became a christ follower. You could be killed and not everywhere in pakistan frank but if it's allowed anywhere it's cnn everywhere. So you can creepy in nigeria. Which you mentioned at the top of the show. I would direct Our our viewers and listeners to an article in the epoch times just recently desktop was one of fellow colleagues assistant secretary for democracy human rights and labor. Bob has been on his high hobbyhorse saying we've got to get into nigeria and look at what's going on but see frank. Here's a difference. The state department at i said well this is just between herdsmen and tribal leaders. This isn't about this isn't about religion it is about religion it is about faith. It's what you said about. The people being killed. Just because they were christians. I also think that You mentioned north. Korea mentioned china. There's more persecution. In china we know of at least one million acres which is a type of muslim. Fact is funny. Frank was so naive when i went to the state department. I mean i grew up in protestantism. There's like thirty. Four kinds of you know presbyterians lutherans baptists. I had no idea. There's tons of denominations of muslims to our type of muslim and these people are being sent in a remote part of china To concentration camps to re education camps are being forced into labor and we had to jump up and down for a long time. It's now become a common knowledge and people are embracing it but it was hard for us to get people to notice this but besides christians are still persecuted in china and frank. There's probably more christians in china than there are in the us craze nod for that the underground champ so alive. What can the state department do about these issues. Or what are you doing. what were you doing. I don't know what's going on in their. Let's go with what were. What can we do when we were there. There were fifty at least fifty. Full time people who worked on international religious freedom and under trump and pomp. Peyot frank we had a lot of i For example we did to religious freedom summits at the ministerial level. This is where we invited the secretaries of state of other countries to come and talk about. We made religious freedom a foreign policy priority. It hasn't always been that way. There's a book by a man named doug johnston who talked about religious freedom as statecraft and it was actually inculcating religious freedom into foreign policy objectives. Because if you go into a country like nigeria and said oh well this has nothing to do with religious freedom then you're going to do it as herdsmen and and other kinds of people a tribal conflict but when we really lie realized that it is religious freedom at the base of it. Then you bring different people you bring clerics to the peace table you have them participating you have people in the community and it creates better outcomes so I think the other thing. That was so remarkable about what we did. We also by the way the state department releases religious freedom report every year and that they just released another one. Most of that was done on. our watch. Were always a year behind when they come out but can go on the state department website and find those and they rank countries and they have like countries of particular concern. We had a good story on use back. Stan had been a country of particular concern sam. Brownback went over met with the prime minister met with the foreign ministers and they talked about we say could get off that list and once you get off that list. Economy flows better. People are more willing so there's a lot of good reasons to do things on. Let's go to a country like turkey. frank You know our good friend. I just happened to have here in my office. Our good friend andrew brunson who was held hostage. They're all they said was political. He was looking to overthrow erwan. That's not too that's not. Let's pick up pastor brunson after the break panties that a very interesting story and we'll have we'll have much more about religious freedom and what you can do about it what we can do about what about what our government is doing about it right after the break you're listening to. I don't have enough faith to be east with frank turk on the american family. Radio network website cross examined dot. Org cross examined with of dot award back into with pam prior got another online course coming up friends stealing from god why atheists need god to make their case. It begins august second.
