"As promise. We're here to talk about chelsea. Bird mamo andrei let me get your t. sc you thought. Your thoughts feelings concerns. I was happy that we control to match from start to finish. I think even the commentator here was it was funny he was like this is about the time when the chelsea lost control of the brentford match. When around the seventy th minute. And i was like please don't remind me But yeah it was a comfortable match. It was controlled. The only thing i mean. Obviously that hurts or the injuries. Those are the only things that really hard. Those are my concerns but overall that's what you want to see chelsea do in to chelsea kin really just constrict the team like that and dominate. And now this gives us even more of a look at guys like kayakers you know guys like what's in the door you know. Oil is going to get back out there. I just kind wish that we had been able to have more fluidity and previous matches so so tickled and feel like he had to start this deal. It was a really strong lineup. And i feel like he felt like he had to start this lineup because you have to get them confidence and unfortunately are too. You know strongest attackers. The one task was scoring the button. The bags goals that we need are the two that go out of the match early but you know. That is the unfortunate part. The part that was there was dope especially the first part. I very first goal andrea christianson. Getting his first goal for chelsea an actual live senior level action. That was incredible. Plus it was like this. Wild flying volley thing sink cross roma tiago silver. Who's you know. He didn't play last mess because the international time so it happened to get a look at guys. Look reese james came in sil- the guez played. Marcos alonso played towards the end. So you got a chance to look at even more guys and secure. The weather's just rainy. Sloppy out there nighttime. That's one of those games were y'all let's just beat up on them and get a by and that's what they did and yeah i i gotta shout out hudson because that run made before the assistant actually thought maybe he hit that assists a bit too heavy. I thought that that last past the habits was going to roll to the keeper but have showed it showed a little bit of quickness a little burst of acceleration. I know he has top line speed but that was some quick some quick steps to catch up to that one and be able to keep her too so i really liked the in that combination and unfortunately it looks like those two. Were probably going to have to connect a lot more in macktaz coming up giving who were missing now as in london audrey carlisle recap.

"Yeah absolutely made for me Toby concur with all of that. The with a tiny place Forgive me for trout constantly But when boxing who says Accuracy beat speed every time. Just be accurate newbie. Speed quick are lennon's a good example is really quickly when accurate was a man. That's why you can. Italy produced defenders like nesta and affords Kazakh is just insane. For me it's league. Fantastic the other team. The i think the the kind of undidahk undone you pay them at so not underdogs dot kasese another. You pick them. Side is the danish team the absolutely eviscerated wiles. An will this place in that. Sorry that you get really excited about and this was one way. Traffic from about the sixteenth mini own woods. Something wasn't it yeah. It was clear that it was going to be not thousand. Sixteen miracle For head denmark just looked absolutely fantastic hospital and a couple of goals. Macau damsgaard is really grown into this tournament. Looks like a sensational player. That everyone's going to remember is breaking out of this tournament. He's really article From mark when we did the preview for saying that. I think they've got a good squad and yet it will joe talking about dynamism with delaney and hoiberg for water functional midfield. They are delaney's an underrated player. Think and hoiberg is able to probably do more than he's been allowed to do for spurs press prize again for not being an iranian team. Plays look a little bit better and lasts past. I wanted to touch on lastly quick child's braithwaite because he's proving that he is just. He's he's not this middlesbrough player that somehow fluke to move to barcelona. He's he's he's a good player and he's having a really good tournament. Nice go but andreas christianson. I thought the the balls really on home and to to move chris and into midfield about the fifteen minute mark just completely changed this game and wells didn't know what to do and christians and looked fantastic talk about mcguire being this liberal christians and can really start attacks as well. I think he's going to be a crucial plan for that. Moving forward is to amphibious for chelsea moving forward. He just looks like the real deal. Yeah up just say bory refunding out on the web game is a website. Dem had some really great and possession implying fest minutes But that f- the stunned out for me. Was that the disciplined than when joe road on got that book things really start full and actually felt without bales posted. Everyone talked about by walking off for that question about its future. "That it's It's unbelievable it's just Not to be involved it's It's fantastic. That's why i'm saying he's not easy to to win. But he's not because experience. Look at the smile across follows face when he re relive reason. Comments in his career is body language. Changed everything you feel. Those juices though did was there anything like did you take a piece of grass. Where you just like really centering yourself trying to soak in all that atmosphere because it's something that you work so hard in your career. When he got to those fine. I think it is but i've been reached that stage over that point. Catch a bit of the natural grass sunday or keeping the ball. You know so. I think for me you know likely that trophy. Obviously you have the members and the pictures as well so there's nothing nothing bettering the In my smile it is because not just we twice the champions league but but for example on my own my debut in that competition. We won so eminent. That was my first season inexperienced. Play you know this this massive Tournament and the and i remember. Just what two seasons before or something. I was playing the smaller club than sitting on the sofa. in big matches Dreaming left to play and be that as well and have that feeling and steer the people watching me like. I'm watching now the this massive games in. That's why like a smile. Because he brings memories and non life of blaming the champions league we'd be managed to for example report to so was the was something that excavated myself so he sees just realizing strict. And i it's fantastic. It's a really difficult club to get in winning the champions league with more than one club. So congratulations to you on a tremendous career. I want to pick your brain on your expertise playing along back line. And you're getting your badges right now. You're seeing the evolution of football. Can you speak to the difficulty that andreas christianson and says are as bleak. Wet race. James benn while they found themselves in several different formations. This season benca. Well and reese. James an nasr be as played all over the pitch guys being all together but having to learn new positions on the fly here not just play those positions but play them at the top level to get chelsea into the champions league final clarity and that was selected place now. He makes The minister life much easier whenever those of that they understand the positions. Whatever will be different position. They know what position demands. They and that is really good and important for the players night. It happened with me as well. Like a career as a as the center for than than i asked Opposition feel like. I ended up as as fullback in that was the position where changed my life but i was there and played at different positions in the end..

"But then you play leicester in the league and if you beat leicester in the league you are essentially you're in you're in the top four so they're still really important games to come but i think it just be a rolling three or four changes. Make sure that everyone's getting minutes. I would say probably one of the biggest takeaways from the game against manchester city was the injury to andrea christianson. Looked pretty bad with him. Coming off you'd certainly hope. He's fit for the champions league final. Because while you do kinda have the adjustment in in hand which would be moving into the back. Three moving reese james out to right wing back. I really liked that. Look of escort wing back and you have christianson tiago silva and ruediger is a very strong back three so i would say cushion coming out is probably important but you just see a players rotated through. We'll see what matteo coverage is fit and ready to go thomas to has got them in saying maybe for arsenal maybe for the fa cup final maybe for leicester in the league so when kovic comes back but you've got so many options right now. They're all fit and playing. Well i think you know you kinda continued to roll them through and again the the system is the strength right now. Not any one member of it. I keep hoping for rotation along the back. And then i realized there are no rotation the coyote tamara who just scored for ac milan. And there's all sorts of talk that it uc milan trigger the option of by their with christianson being hurt. I'm not really sure you have a rotational player to plug in there and get a spot. Sorry your rotation or jr is mainly as outlined it. Just slotting asprilla. Maybe getting callum dawson more playing time along that right wing maybe alonzo but not a lot of Rotational options there emerson. I'm not really sure. He fits certainly not along that back. Three gotta be a wingback player. And then you gotta keep marcus alonzo off the field. I'm not exactly sure. What thomas options are christians in is indeed hurt and that is a major injury because christianson yet again. Another one of these players. It's been so. Brilliant under thomas tickle tease and peace for shirt. Andreas christianson. We saw the fa cup. Quarter-final emerson plays a left back in that bag three that was again sheffield united. These games are much more important and there is less room for error implying. Emerson there but you're your backup skirt zuma and came on as a sub for cushion. So now you have kind of four centrebacks right now. They feel confident playing in that. Three in quetta ruediger tiago silva kurt zuma so in my view you have those options there but without kerstiens and he's been so good since the change in system and you had an anchor the back three you know went geogra- silva's out. He plays in that position but without him. You're certainly short of options. Such a calming presence soup because man city may may try to get chelsea's backline into some trouble with that high press if christianson is not there and he's been such a cool calm customer with the ball at his feet really changing the narrative around him. Let's make a prediction for this arsenal match. Here on the men's side. Chris and audience if you wanna get involved with making predictions of your own head out over to the sand up. The official chelsea app play the play predict game be eligible for all sorts of cool.

"Three nil and the thing that i remember most outside of it being the debut of the kits the palace kits is The banter boards might suggest Tiago silva with uncharacteristic mistaken. Since i don't think he's made another mistake and i think as well that game. Andreas christianson started and he didn't really feature much at all. After that it was kind of tago silva zuma most of the way after that. So it's kind of interesting. It's possible that both those guys are back in the back three and that you feel a completely different type of way about it and you go back to that game. The mistakes were pauling set piece defending and they're just basic errors and i. It was actually a fairly sizable comeback right to come back from three kneel down and with abraham on ninety three minutes chris equalizing. Don't get it twisted. That's actually when we look at the season on the whole at the end of the season that may be a massive point that chelsea secured and come back from three down. Yeah and that was also a time. That capital was struggling. He was benched for willie caballero so was kind of a snapshot of even though chelsea went onto. Going unbeaten run after that. And we're good at times under frank lampard this season that was kind of the marker of. Oh there's some structural things wrong here that that need to get fixed and i think now at least defensible interview. I cannot foresee a scenario. How much how. What odds would i have to give you the west brom score three against chelsea this game. My my my concern here is at chelsea's offense really hasn't gotten too when we haven't been scoring the goals than if there is a result here up freezing cold takes damn. It's probably if there's a bad result in the bunch is probably a nil nil draw especially when you mentioned the international duty plus chelsea's recent struggling and even getting on the scoresheet overall. It's a very big weekend in the primarily. There's a monster games here. That directly impact chelsea's top four standing game after that pretty much lesser manchester city. And that's a massive game in the top four lesser while. It's very good for that team to make it to wembley and the fa cup semifinals. They are stretched so thin right. Now that i was kind of saying it's not so great for lesser. Actually make it into the fa cup. That'd be a major trophy for that club. So i mean you're in the competition might as well win the damn thing to quote my grand bud. Matchup of fa cup finalists in that game. Ourselves versus liverpool can be international. Break be the reboot that liverpool desperately needed. They went into it. Feel pretty good about themselves. Good performance in the champions league. Now they're out of this international break. This is a result. They absolutely have to add there at all serious about playing in europe. And i'm not just talking to the champions league. They're playing themselves out of europa league. Contention right now your particular because they're playing arsenal and if arsenal win that game you're a pulling off and the seven eight nine territory. All of a sudden liverpool is looking down the table and maybe their way of getting back..

"Like every big club in the world is looking for centrebacks. Play the game like andreas christians. Playing lately the question is does it become is it. Just a passing moment isn't lately or is who he is now because if it is who is now the nets a terrifying proposition proposition premier league sides and a brilliant move for chelsea. Who probably had to look at a centreback. This off season given the present situation and the guy that was ad best fourth choice centreback. I mean we even bandied about the rumor. Signed declan rights tournament with centre-back. Maybe put us for the back at back. Because he he's played that this is a guy that was so low on the totem pole. And now he's come in and you're afraid to give to iago silva his generations greatest centreback the job back because of the dynamism that andrea christianson has provided. I'm so happy for this player. I have always been christian supporter in that first game. It was interesting. You and i were talking about nervy moments from andreas. Christianson was taking himself out of position. Little bit bit more than people realize so attract back chelsea. Survive it and you're like okay. Well that was a bit of a fire drill. How much more of this can we take him. We're constantly refreshing tiago silva i haven't googled tiago silva's injury in a few weeks. It used to lead off every press conference a try and watch as many press conferences. I can and the first question is the silverback. When's he coming back a southampton maybe and it seemed to be a pressing question. It no longer is. And i do think that if when y'all go silva i say if he comes back but when he comes back that he goes back he goes into the position. That kurt zuma plates today. That left centre-back role in the back three. I don't think you give him that quarterback role because andres christianson splaying an incredibly. Well right now. Why would you change that up. When silva started the season as the left center back in a four. And i think him play the left center back position in a three as well so i i think christians is kind of held onto that position. It's more that he's dislodge now. This battle between ruediger zuma and tiago silva for that final centrebacks back. because i don't you can displace christensen rights from me..

So i'm also a practicing meditation guy. So i've been doing it for quite a long time so i understand also within the covert lockdown situation. I think there was a massive gravitation towards meditation apps in general so Whether whether the fracture or guided. Or otherwise i think i think i understand where you're coming from. Yeah well deal was to create the ultimate meditation machine and then using these kind of rectal visualizations in three sixty and had that as like an edit component there is actual research jesting that have are very common effect and potentially are able to like make the kind of analytical mind a bit more passive so it's elective and try to digest which is really wanted to do in the initial phases of learning meditation anyways That kind of That coincidentally fru working on this the startup. I bumped into the guys. I'm working with now in meeting vr. Because we would just at the same place only having that via thing in common. And i was just seeing what they were doing and it really awesome and that was right before the pandemic and and we were talking about. Maybe should help them a little bit. Just on a consultancy basis with some business strategy and stuff like that and then the pandemic hit. And i was like okay. I can i jump ball ship. Kinda struggle moment fruit food for the first free s that they had already kind of gun fruits so i just decided like why buy make it hot for myself and and And yet so we are. You're almost a year after i guess. Well i think that's one of the more interesting backgrounds that somebody's given onto the podcast. It's rare that meditation. Some sort of interesting introspection leads you into either. vr technology. Talk on here so so great to hear we have talked about. Vr a number of times on the podcast. I think what would be good is if we just kind of dive into. What is the company that you're working with a meat in vr. I looked at it quite a bit on the online. It'd be great to hear a little bit from from yourself. Kind of what is what is it. What makes it different from other platforms and kind of what makes you excited about it. I think initially what made me excited about. It was that i saw that. The founders stimulate for people. And i mean. I didn't actually need to know a lot more than that. Because i just saw people's reactions and it was just kind of gut level feeling of all lead. Holy fuck it's really possible. Like sorry can occur on this. Yeah yeah yeah go ahead. But people were so they were so blown away and And i described towards those kind of expensive moments in my life. I feel like that's what the an important part of what life is about. And i think now that with the pandemic still upon us Rooms where we can meet in. Vr specifically are maybe more needed than at any other time in the in the past four for the for the listeners. Can you maybe describe what Meet in vr. Is i think the idea is relatively simple to grasp. But i think that the the impact it would have is actually quite interesting. This of course So the isis is that it's a it's a virtual meeting room. It has everything you would expect from being in a meeting with somebody You'll represented you have like a character. It's kind kinda like a game. You have your headset on you. You have a character that looks like you and then you'll meeting in in a virtual meeting room and so it's a lot like it's a it's kind of what's it called a substitute for soom and video calls and what it can do video course kinda cannot do. Is that feeling of being together with the people joe meeting with

And as i like to tell you enjoy sports betting it's a lot of fun it as another dimension to watching the game but please make it your entertainment and not your lifestyle okay. Let's get back to the show big matches coming up boxing day and the day after. That's the twenty six and the twenty seven. The marquee match one might say would be also chelsea but really less dimensional. United is the marquee match Yeah the big. London dhabi between awful and chelsea dhabi. This isn't also tottenham a little bit different but this is still adobe but less demand united critically important. We're gonna learn a lot about where we're going to sit in the league at the end of this game we're gonna find out if united are the bubble that is going to burst or if they are the real deal. And what a goal in mid week. Really edison cavani proving his worth beating pushing united through with a last minute goal in their league cup victory. It was a terrific performance by the way from a united team. That truly does seem to be gelling. But we've got plenty of time to get into all of the matches which we are going to do. A couple of pieces of news worthy of discussion. Let's start shall we with the easy news. And that is the situation at chelsea football club where rumors are coming hard and fast that chelsea how serious contenders for erling haaland. Who's currently this young female strike. If you've ever seen if you've never seen this guy play do yourself a favor check it out. He is unbelievable stats and assuming behold he is a wonderful player. Young future messy like talent and i know. That's a lot of pressure to put on the rubber narrow shoulders of a twenty year old. But really this guy has it. All chelsea joined the race for him man city also into sign him apparently in order to free up the money and remember chelsea is a guy that chelsea his own by a guy that for many is dominated the premier league in terms of spending to about roman abramovich. But now they've got to work a bit harder internally to spend a splash the cash in order to do that. It has been reported on sky. Sports that chelsea are prepared to sell. Okay you ready for this. Ross barkley a marco alonzo antonio ruediger. Andreas christianson jeanniot. And danny drinkwater as well as victimizes chelsea willing to sell all of these players to raise the money to sign not only erling haaland but also declan rice. Now we're gonna learn a lot about this this weekend because chelsea also is a also chelsea. He's a big big match. And i think. Frank lampard is. I think his goal this season they can talk about the title but i think his gold seriously as top four. So it's gonna be fascinating to see. Keep your eyes on this story with january window opening up very shortly we could see a big move here. I would be shocked. If hollande moves in january but let's wait and see a livable apparently interested in signing ada. Towel the twenty year old brazilian defender currently at real madrid. And also ezekiel awry. Apparently Set to join liverpool. He's a free agent currently also being reported by the liverpool echo that they want to sign a stephan badge tech. Who's a sixteen year old defender from celta vigo. I don't think that's they're looking at that as one for this season all right. Let's move onto the next stories. Though because thomas toco has been fired from paris saint germain now. They currently sit third in laliga. They've had a couple of disappointing results. We will all agree. But they'll one point behind the top at laliga with a lot of the lollygag league. Excuse me it's the holiday season folks lot of the season still to play and you have to assume they're going to win a league on once again without a problem. I mean i certainly do. They finished top of group in the champions league and yet they had a couple of disappointing results certainly And since two call has been at the helm. I'm just grabbing a couple of notes. Here that i made about this. By the way since to spend a helm. I want to league titles of french cup and a league cup and made the final. The champions league which is not really too bad when you think about it. I think what you're finding. Here is the difference between expectation. Reality the difficulties of forging a team in the fire of league on which is not the strongest league in the world and trying to win the biggest strongest toughest club tournament in his in existence. Which is the champions league. And they've done very well. All things considered yes. They have incredible talented neeman. Imbaba a whole crew of supporting characters. That are incredibly good. The but i think what to call is having difficulty navigating the expectations and the politics of the job rather than the job itself earlier this week gave an interview with a german. Tv station and said he felt more like a sports politician or sports minister during a coach and apparently this caused enormous consternation. Back of the club is owned by middle east manages and a middle middle eastern owners. In case you didn't know this and added on top of an earlier falling out. He had earlier on in last summer or an end of summer at the close of the window where he apparently had a massive fight with leonardo who is the sporting director of the club around transfers. He has now found himself sat just a few months shy of his contract being expired and that to me is an absolutely insane insane thing to do because they probably have to pay him a payout said etc etc. But mind you qatari. Sports investments the people that own. Psg probably don't give a rat's behind about the amount of money they have to pay to get rid of him. But let me put it to you in this way. Thomas toco among league one managers has the highest average points per game tied only with emory. And you may remember was sort of the handpicked. Successor at also and that didn't work out and the highest percentage win rate percentage in the history of leave on a seventy five point six percent. This guy has been fired folks now. Maria is scheduled supposed to expected to take over the helm and that will be one less manager available in the premier league.
