"About it but to me. It tells us a couple of things one. The cavs are done. They're selling right now. They've been dropping out of the playoff picture. They're playing a really tough schedule right now. There was some question or they're going to try this again. With andre drummond seen like no definitely going to be no now but it also tells us the raptors are buyers. There are teams out there. Despite the fact that there are only five teams above five hundred in the eastern conference. The raptors are talking themselves into trying to make a run at the fourth seed. Right if they're going to be bringing in one of the biggest names on the trade deadline trading block. They're certainly going forward. At least they're keeping him away from a team like the nets or from the celtics so they would be certainly thinking. They have a chance at home court advantage in the first round. I'd be thinking Yeah and these still open as much as it seems like. The door is shut for the raptors. Yeah i'm not buying them as top seed but just as a bigger picture. I think the east is still very open. Considering the sixers are improving. Commodity celtics are failing. The nets are what they are right. Now they're upset enough. They can charge through that door. But i'd like to see a guy. Andre drummond traded one year for a second round. Pick in the next year for five guys. That's probably like the biggest not grade or that. Nba history or something. I mean if it's for all these guys to make the books work like guys are gonna have to be dropped obviously from the cavs roster and stuff like that or a third team has to be involved. Somehow i remember i went back and check my notes early. It would be norman. Powell beans pat mccaw and matt thomas. That would work. It does work in and of course you know. Whatever sort of pick drum twenty-seven too. I keep forgetting that feels like a thirty five year old to me but he's obviously put up great numbers. It's been pretty solid for them. But yeah you're right trey that means they're moving on wraps or buyers This is exciting. Here's my question. Do we do emergency podcast country drums. Ooh let's see who let's see who the deal is full okay. He's training absolutely. I think we knew what. I just said the norm in the bag of beans deal Probably if it's anything like the stream team half of us will do the emergency pockets. Half of the people in the team stream think andre drummond and all star defensive player of the year the other half thing year playing. Well the with your hair. I'm on the other side where he's solid. But we've seen this movie before the other half think he's not winning the andy game. So you know maybe half us do the emerge pod spike. You wanna trade. If it goes through you want half the people saying this is a horrible joke. Boy. that's perfect. It makes me think break break. Break the tide jd. Andre drummond emergency bud. Podcast what. I got nothing better to do. Oh man i love. We say we're seeing a good little battle here between chance walsh's well because shams signed the raptors in cavs are engaged in active talks on a potential deal warriors. Lost tweet is. Cleveland is starting to gauge. the market. andre andre drummond but there are no serious ongoing trade discussions with any team. Espn so interesting. Who you got all right so what we might be back later today for the emergency andre drummond train we will find out we'll find out We do have tweeted the knight's still but before that quick sponsors. Here's an ad for a product. I use masterclass. People who are at the absolute top of their fields. Teach their expertise such as chess sex cooking. Whatever yes i said sex. It's true. I watched the art of negotiation with chris. Voss to make things clear it had nothing to do with sex but voss taught me that we are all innately just more inclined to want to say no when someone asks something.

"Seven days a week. It's interesting how this breakdowns fan. Indeed it is and It reflects the popularity and I think pent up command for more transit transportation options here in the motor city beyond the Exalted Car. Well go figure you do something reliable on time and it works. I'm somebody who is used to of three of those routes pretty often and they work and they're on time and they show up and I'll tell you this people people use them even when I've taken them into the farther suburbs especially up Woodward like people use those without a doubt. It's one of those things that there is this whole thing of will nobody rides the bus and Cetera but not true. That's not true. And with these fast routes. It's all about being convenient on time. I mean these buses have wi fi which is really cool will like. It's somewhat of a normal transit service that a a region would have it's nice. It's nice to see it is but I mean let's also remember that these are three routes Serving in a huge sprawling metropolitan area. So there you know by no means. Are they comprehensive or or sufficient to serve the entire population. Here I mean I live right off of Woodward Avenue in Ferndale I've been using the combination of the smart bus and also d dot on the regularly to come down here do shows because you live right off Woodward as well and it's great it's you know curbed. Somebody wrote in curb. Recently that it's hasn't been easy to ride the bus in Detroit in years and it's true. The buses are frequent there on time. I mean between D dot and smart. You're you're gonNA find buses all the time and it's great now if you live somewhere off of one of these three reese spokes Michigan Avenue grasset or Woodward you know you might be a different story you know you might not have as easy a time writing but I think this points points out. That transit can work here that there is demand and You know I think they've done a good job with this fast bus service for sure well and I point out that there is demand in the suburbs because we all know that there's demand in the city and sure definitely has some work to do with their service. I personally have dealt with a few ghostbusters lately when they just don't show up but those are non peak routes. This is really interesting because it's suburban right it. It's where people think that the car will have to roll and I think there just has to be a mix of things. I don't think that the car will go away or anything but like there has to be options so that people can get to work and do things so that they can do they can make a living one of the things. That's interesting is as a data point that we have found that. I think we should talk about though yet. Smart Twenty nineteen annual reports said that it's total operating revenue for the last fiscal year. Actually actually fell eleven percent that was due apparently to not requesting funding for the fast bus service from the States Regional Transit Authority but it was also despite a five percent increase from fare revenue. smarts also going to present a plan to its board of directors. Later this month that it says it's going to lay out a guide for future improvements in service so apparently we've got more improvements in store which is good news. Yeah and looking at the city dot said that it's monthly ridership in December was nearly one point eight four million and and that's slightly up. I think three percent year over year the city of Detroit has filed lawsuits against three of the most notorious speculators leaders in property owners in the city over the condition of the homes. They rent to tenants. The city wants the court to declare their business models as a public nuisance and forced the owners to fix and maintain their properties and come into compliance with rental laws. The city's law department filed three complaints in Wayne County Circuit Court against what it describes as three of its most notorious speculators and slum lords those are their words the defendants are Steve and Steven Haberman. The Father Son Team from West Bloomfield field. Michael Kelly of Grosse Pointe Woods and Salami Jaser of Dearborn Mayor. Mike Duggan and Denise Fair. The city's chief public health officer also issued a separate declaration of Public Nuisance Sing. The landlords are putting children at risk of lead poisoning the city alleges that all three defendants often abandoned their deteriorated properties to foreclosure or demolition and leave taxpayers to foot the bill. I mean look. The scale of this problem is pretty large. We're talking more than a thousand thousand properties we're talking about properties that detroiters often live in. And just they're not being taken care of. There have been multiple mainstream media reports about and if you live the city you know people like this and if you don't you don't have your eyes open plumbing not working Mold on the walls peeling paint lead paint. which is where the city's got a problem with lead poisoning among children? That's a huge problem. Yeah it's something that just should not be tolerated and has been going on for far far too long in the city. I would note that the looking over the suits the city notes their belief that this isn't capitalism but they explicitly label it as exploitation as has an invest and neglect business strategy. Which I think are really interesting words to put that in there to say that? We're not saying that people shouldn't make money. What we're saying is is that you should have a house that solid? I'd also put that in this whole thing into context. Recently the city of Detroit try to push a rental ordinance to bring to require places. Get up to code and all that kind of stuff I mean that just fell flat landlords just did not comply was one of those things where the government makes a law but there was no no way they could get people to do it and you know I'm sure there's a multitude of reasons why but it feels like okay. Mike Duggan is GonNa go grab something something else. Out of the toolbox you know beyond rental properties which are certainly bad enough. I mean having people actually live in this properties this this pattern of kind of speculators buying up distressed properties in the city and then sitting on them doing nothing to improve them for for years decades. Sometimes you know in the hope that they that the property values increase in that they can cash out. Eventually I mean. That's it's a that's a well established pattern of you know landowners here in the city of Detroit. Well and seeing that upfront. Over the years it has been really frustrating whether it's community groups folks like that it's like people either want to get a hold of a property next to them or they want to do something in the neighborhood. Then you find out you know somebody in China owns it or somebody somebody out in the suburbs who doesn't pick up. The phone owns it. And they're just sitting there and it just deteriorates because the city hasn't had the resources to enforce any any of these tickets. Any of these blight issues and I'm really glad that frankly that they're doing something about it. And I know some people will push back and say like well. The city should be glad for whatever investment blah blah. But I'll go back to the same old thing if you wouldn't appreciate it in your neighborhood. Don't do it in mind whether it's dumping whether it's this kind of stuff you would would not want that happening next to you and I am. Frankly dead sick of the double standard that gets put on the city. All of the time I mean detroiters detroiters just deserve what everybody has safe housing clean streets not having been in places next to them. I mean these are pretty basic. The gas that I think people deserve preach big news in basketball as the Detroit Pistons Trade two-time all-star centered. Andre Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers in return Detroit will get Brandin Knight. He's a former Piston himself. Plus John Henson and a future second round. Pick joining us to help Greek. All this is Fletcher. Sharp our basketball and soccer correspondent Fletcher. We've talked about this a little bit before Drummond was obviously rumored to be on the trading block for a while now but reminds us why they wanted to trade their best and longest tenured player eight always say claimed that he wanted to stay in finishes Nari Career in Detroit and Andre Drummond for the most part of his career. He's not lied about stuff he's been like I'm GonNa get I'm GonNa make takings better. Next season is games better but he starts shooting reporters like he'll start doing stuff where you're like you technically aren't lying but like you're kind of not giving you the truth truth that I want. So when he says like he wanted to spend his career in Detroit I believe him but the problem is is. There's a there's a pretty decent chance or small chance he could have opted out of his contract just left the business would have got nothing right. His contract was set to expire at the end of this season in today's market in terms of NBA level centers. He's a he's a Max player. Which means pay the Max amount of money for a contract which normally runs itself north of one hundred fifty hundred and sixty million dollars on if the business trying to rebuild they cannot afford to sink that have money into a player even a player who while he's been NBA for awhile is still relatively young? Twenty six if they're trying to rebuild and make their team Mito Mito take the steps Siri to do that. It means letting go of some pieces are still quality right now. The consensus was around. A lot of journalist analysts agents is Detroit which is happening into the playoffs and just whatever happened. Just figure it out when we get there will. We were the eighth seed where he had swept by MILWAUKEE EAR CLEVELAND. He little Whoever was while ago? We'll just deal with it. It's fine whatever. We're the playoffs. So and it looks like Tom. Gores is finally taking a look and say you know what I actually actually want to be like Philadelphia. I want to be like these other teams who were bad but rebuilt themselves up and now they're contenders through other players. They drafted themselves for the most part. Yeah Yeah it's a it's a look at. I guess this is really saying. We're going to legitimately tank. We're going to do the best we can of the pieces we have but yeah we. We don't need it anymore. Well so so. What does it mean for the team? The rest of the season. I mean he was having a great season You know by the numbers anyway. Averaging nearly eighteen points and sixteen rebounds a game so far this season I mean what's the rest of the is pretty much throwing in the towel. On the twenty twenty season the players will say it. Like I'll ah out. I'll ask Markeith Morris. He'll look at me like why would you even say something so Asinine but yeah it seems very much the Pistons were only like four for maybe a few spots out of the spot right now in the Eastern Conference show you. How bad the eastern conference is it showing like you know what we're we're just trying to do? We Dan to like maintain. And we're GONNA come out and compete but coach to in case. He always wants to compete but like results matter to US anymore. Like we just WANNA go out there but are younger players develop you see a lot more sacred than blue which is good. You'll see a lot more Hollick from Kansas and Lithuania. You'll see a lot more of the younger players who are trying to see a lot more Christian would probably which is good You'll get a chance. These players actually developed and see if they can earn a spot for next year with a basically a long audition process for a lot of these other players. Yeah it's it's kind of good from that standpoint because you get to see kind of like how the Golden State Warriors back when they first got steph. Jeff Curry they were like Steph curry and a bunch of these other bargain players and then you saw them at another player then they added two more players that all of a sudden. It's like wow. This is like a championship nucleus glee. As right here it gives the Pistons fans at one to WanNa stay around and look a chance of potentially see how good this team could be where all the pieces finally fit together. Which I know in sports is a long shot? Sometimes you'd sometimes you do that for years and years and then you end up being the Phoenix Suns who've been rebuilding says Steve Nash Left. But like yeah you. It's a chance you taken sports. Either you're going to go in Gaul in the next year or two or you're gonNA try to rebuild. You can build it back up in three years. What about the two guys? THAT DETROIT GETS from Cleveland Brandin Knight of course Spent his first two seasons in the NBA. Here in Detroit and John Henson is a center and power forward who spent most of his career. I.

"And maybe there's maybe teams it's too. I know I know when chomps rainy was the podcast on Monday he was saying that Denver Philadelphia. There's a number of other contenders that are also showing interesting collison. We're all hearing hearing about the Lakers and the clippers because those are two of the top teams La but there are a lot of other teams showing interest too. So I think that's why he wants to not only consider. Should I make a comeback period over the all star weekend. He also wants to look at all the different options and talk at these teams a bit and see what makes the most sense. What what would you do if you were in his shoes? I think I would go the clippers. I mean one. Other factor is that we've seen Patrick Beverley Gillis a minor injury issues recently And yet a groin the other night. It's just kind of been in and out and I just think that like is definitely the best opportunity to win a title. I think for him would be joined the clippers and I think there's a connection with doc rivers You know he just fits age five flies with you know. Basically what the clippers are trying to do their from just having a real veteran heavy win now type of roster and I do think that like like You know if beverly winds up having injury issues that puts a lot more on sham it makes employees Lou. Williams may be more late in games and I would it be super comfortable having Lou Williams. Just kind Eh. Defense of liability necessarily closing a bunch of games during the playoffs so there could be a a real role for him to kind of fill in the void there as injury protection as an extra ball handler. So I guess if I was saying you know I would choose the clippers. But we'll see what he does in Lakers history the and that fan base and the limelight. That is very tempting though so we will see and even if the clippers don't get call us in. They could still be a destination for other players that are bought our other free agents. That situation is very attractive so I could see some guys considering an clippers. Maybe we'll talk some these guys and see what's out there so clippers may not be done but if they are done I mean they've done an amazing job of really going in and putting this team position to potentially win at all. Let's look at the clavier trade. They acquired Andre Drummond. I'm from the Detroit Pistons. They traded John Henson Brandon Knight Twenty Twenty Three Second Round pick. We kind of touched on this already. This is one of the most surprising moves for me because his all week all the talk about how there was no market for Drummond and probably wouldn't see him traded. Everyone was saying that he wouldn't be dealt even five hours before the deadline Yahoos. WHO's Chris Hands tweeted that it seemed unlikely that Germany would be traded? But things change very quickly around this time of year we see situations where all fluid and then one second guys looking unlikely to be traded. The next second he is getting that call so you never really know. I think there was talk about his opt in or his option and causing some issues here in complicating things he could hit unrestricted free agency this off season or opt in to a twenty eight point seven million dollar salaries so I think that's why Detroit probably got next to nothing for him. I know a lot of fans on twitter. We're wondering how is that. All the Detroit got but that situation complicated things I think certain teams were worried read about him just being a rental and walking certain teams may be worried that he would opt in. And that's a huge salary. So that's something that kind of complicated. The situation I'm I'm not a big fan of the I'm not a big fan of move for Detroit as kind of talked about but great addition for Cleveland again a low risk high reward move. He's twenty six years old to averaging nearly eighteen points sixteen rebounds two steals two blocks and again. If it doesn't work out you just end the experiment. So I'm a big fan of this one for Cleveland. Yes so here's what I would say that it's important moment in time for the NBA. Right because you've got drum. WHO's a traditional center? He's not the world's greatest defensive player doesn't move that well. It got played off the court during the playoffs last year by Milwaukee and their incredible shooting. But he's he's a very very very good rebounder in one of the most prolific rebounders in the entire league. Nick and then he can score a little bit on offense around the basket to write and what this tells us Is that this type of player is just no longer valued as much as he. He might've been three or four years ago. And I don't WanNa say it's like comparable necessarily to Roy Hibbert who's like entire career fell apart where he was all star one year and then the next year he's out of the NBA. I mean drumming can definitely be a helpful contributor for years to come in the NBA. But this does show that when everyone's trying to play pace in space when everyone wants to go with versatile lineup since switch things on defense and get into small ball stuff and You know try to have guys who can defend on the perimeter player with like Andre trae Drummond skill set which is very old school it would be like perfectly at home in one thousand as basketball. Just doesn't really have the same demand in twenty twenties basketball and it's not a huge surprise but I do think when you're looking at that return package. It caused me to raise my eyebrows. And say wow like I knew there wasn't GonNa be people beating down the door for him but man man that's that's basically nothing and I do think that contract part that you're pointing out. There is a great point and I wonder you know. IS HE GOING TO BE A LONG-TERM FIT IN CLEVELAND. Cleveland because You know the Tristan Thompson situation is probably going to need to be resolved at some point. Cleveland was not able to trade Kevin love like many people expected at this deadline. So I just think that they have some things to work out You know in their in their front court and then also just worry from Germans perspective like he's a guy who relies on a point guard to set him up and I think that you know their guards in Cleveland. sexton in Garland are still a couple years away from being real impact level players. I think that they've really struggled at times this year. You're just because of their youth and inexperience and so I think that for Drummond he goes from one. You know pretty dysfunctional or just kind of depressing environment In Detroit to another one in Cleveland. He's just gotTa hope that one of those guards makes the leap and kind of carry symbol along with them. Yeah you're right. He was born about twenty years. Too late I kinda I feel bad for Drummond. Because you're right. You'd be one of those guys that years ago decades ago. He's dominating the League in getting payday so his agency will be interesting too. Because it's like you said this was kind of showing that his value is diminished so much they were executives. We do some pieces before the trade deadline. hoops hype where we talked to executives about different players trade revalue what they could return. The deal and executives are predicting that he would you know return a little bit more than this and there were guys talking to you. They run the league that were surprised when they saw all the packers. Detroit Guy I think a lot of people assumed okay. Well Detroit will just keep him if they can't get anything of significance in return but Kevin O'Connor saying that they were worried that he would opt in so that was something. That kind of added interesting wrinkle this but yeah I mean his free agency will be as well because there are teams that are moving away from centers and especially paying a lot of money to send her so If his trade value here was any indication then free agency could go very differently than I think. A lot of fans would expect for Drummond. Let's talk about one of those teams moving away from centers altogether really at the fourteen twelve player trade between the Rockets Hawks Nuggets and wolves kind of kick things off. It was the first domino to fall. Houston received Robert Covington Jordan Bell and a second round pick Atlanta received clink cappella. and May Minnesota received a leak Beasley. He's leave want. Hernan Gomez Jared Vanderbilt Evan Turner in the Nets Twenty Twenty one first round pick Denver received Shabazz Napier K. debates HD op. Navan lay Gerald Green and the rockets twenty twenty first round pick man. That was so much to read. I'm not crazy about this move for Denver I I do like it for Atlanta As I mentioned in the intro there traveling did a great job year. They've been looking for a center for a while now. They showed interest in Stephen Adams. They had some conversations about Andre Andre Drummond now they get Cappella he's twenty five years old so he's on a similar trajectory as their young core. Houston the interesting one for me. Here they get Covington. He was highly coveted Latino showing interested in him before the deadline and now they're really doubling down on their small ball three point shooting ice. Oh heavy style. PJ Tucker is expected had to play the five for them. COVINGTON play the five bit to Houston also did move Jordan Bell to Memphis for Bruno Quebec blow in separate trade. So they're really small now and again. That could could change. There's always veteran free agents and Guys that get bought out. So we'll see if they try to out of senator. There were some rumors that they were trying to add Someone that could give them a center center on the roster some frontcourt depth. But we'll see what happens there but I think it's very interesting. Bill Simmons recently interviewed Steve. Nash and Nash talked about those Mike. Dantonio let Phoenix Suns teams. That were playing faster than everybody and shooting a lot of threes. But Nash said that when he and Dantonio talked about those days they both regret not doubling cooling down that style and take it even further. You know shooting more threes playing even faster. I think this is Dan. Tony and they're more rockets doubling down on their style of play and it works great. If it doesn't at least you try and did things your way and you don't have any regrets like those sunsets teams do about the way they didn't push things even further for Minnesota. I like to move got number of talented young players. A first round pick. I know they were trying to acquire a first round pick so that they felt more comfortable giving away a draft pick in the NGELO. Russell talks Again not huge fan of the move for Denver because I really like Beasley and hurting Gomez I think they're both solid players. Great Locker Room guys But they clearly wind wand mixing up a little bit. What do you make this deal? It was a very complicated one. You normally see twelve player trades very often. I think the Carmelo Anthony Trade to New York was thirteen players players. But this is one of the biggest trades hadn't awhile in the NBA. Yeah it was a wild trade. I mean I think the the central force of this trade was used. Did I mean they're basically saying look. We cannot continue along with both Russell Westbrook Inkling Capella in our main lineup. Because both guys are non-shooters and they're making life too difficult. Christopher James Harden. He doesn't have enough room to operate. And just you know the game has just been coming harder harder this season than it has been some past years and they've just been more prone to inconsistency from from him so there are absolutely trying to spread the cord around heart and more often and they're also saying look. If we have to match up with Lebron James Leonard in the playoffs. We need to have a guy like Covington. WHO's capable capable of doing that? That sort of the highest priority and the biggest flaw their roster and so they were able to address it. If I were them I would have done that. Move but I don't think it necessarily puts awesome over the top. I think it's kind of like a game of wackle where now they've created problems. Where like if they play the Lakers? It's just GonNa be Dunk Parade ilab parade from Lebron to Anthony Davis Javale McGee and Dwight Howard. I mean those guys are just going to be playing over the top of Houston Small Ball lineup. It's going to be very difficult for them to to match up in that situation so you know they're giving hard and a chance to sort of be as bestself and they're giving the hardening Westberg Partnership As much opportunity to find success as possible but to me it's still think Houston winds up being a team. That's just not quite good enough to get over the top this year. My big winner from this whole deal was actually Atlanta. I like Clint Cappella. You know quite a bit I mean. Obviously he's limited offensively. It's not the words most skilled guy. But he's a talented finisher. A high volume rebounder a good defensive player and I think like if they had to choose between who would you rather have Capella or Drummond. Because the hawks linked to drum and in rumors as well I think they made the right choice. Only giving up a first round pick in Evan Turner basically to get clink. Capella a guy. Who's who was in his mid twenty s who is under contract for a couple of years so you know how much he's going to cause and who should be a really nice target for trae young anti could be the focal local point of your defense? You know a team basically had the worst defense in the entire league all season you know to me. That's a big win for the Hawks and I think they're a step in the right direction. Yeah I agree with you I love it you know..

"Bad. Yeah what are the cavs thinking here too. I mean that is the other their side of this. Is it just a three month rental to see if it works and see if he can help with the sex land back court and is gone. I mean there are rumors that he's not gonNA be bought out but he he's a free agent in the summer so he you know like it's nobody's coming here so let's give in a world like that. Yeah that's is that is that it and then it's still is what does he do as I have been saying this entire time. That Andre Andre Drummond is testing free agency. There are no other for agents he is going to go and WANNA lock up years at around the twenty five million mark. I mean I know it would be what twenty eight point seven I think off the top of my head that that would be his His finally contract Avi sticks with that and doesn't test free agency but the market be pretty sof foreign then if all Jeez yeah I feel that way. Yeah I mean that's the thing you have. No team wanted him to even get a chance to have him to resign within then if he opts out of that contract contract and then expects to get the B hundred whatever Dolor payday. It's probably not at all like based based on this. If this is the best they could get for him then. Maybe it's not. I mean I definitely look like he's going to get something but he he's like you don't you don't see teams are GonNa fall over each other to try to sign him for four years or if the cavs decided to sign him for five years. I mean it's. It's unlikely I would guess you're right. skeets though about guys looking at the free agent crop and saying well the biggest name is no one. I mean the biggest name right now. WHO's potentially going to be? A free agent is is who drummond to Rosen. But the yeah those are the interesting part. Art is those guys who have a player option for next year Andre and say hey I want twenty eight million dollars or you know what. There's no free agent. They're going to give it a shot or demark and say twenty. Seven point seven or I don't know four for eighty some if somebody wants or even Gordon Hayward is in the same boat thirty four million. That's GONNA be real interesting in part because there are. This is so much inferior to last year's when there's a ton of movement and isn't when you're drumming and you're a big guy what he does the more years you wait waiting for. Your contract isn't less or more likely that you're going to go down more and more because hit the game is being played like just get but now if we can if maybe the Hornets are another team really fool the cavs sick him get to the cavs cavs grade just quickly on this Senate is perplexing but it it cost a lot. I'm giving the cavs A C. Yeah that's why I got onto sure. I mean you're getting under Drummond. He's better than John Henson and Brandon Knight. He's the Best Center on your team now and you gave up nothing. I I'll give them an eight plus eight plus why not they way. Nothing right giveaway guys. Who Brand night? You know John Henson you know. Are they gonNA playing next year in the NBA. Hopefully for that but second round pick. Maybe he will too. But I don't know hundred Germans better than those guys all right. You brought up. Marcus Morris the clippers they won the coveted voted Marcus Morris arms race as it turned into and became a three team deal clippers. Get Marcus Morris and Thomas who has already been waived the Knicks Knicks. Get Mohawk lease the clippers twenty twenty first round pick the right to swap twenty twenty one first rounder with the Clips and Detroit's twenty twenty one second round pick also. The rights to some Ukrainian Point Guard was drafted a couple of years ago and the wizards. They're getting the mix here they slide in and get Jerome Robinson. Yes it's a three team deal he'll look at. I like. It was just going to be clippers next but the wiz get Jerome Robinson in only giving up. It obviously getting sort of a young flyer on that guy so clippers -burse what's the great for this. How hire you on Marcus Morris? I'm going A. B.. I think Marcus Morris an upgrade on Mohawk Lewis. They're going all in. They obviously obviously a Toronto win the championship Windows Open. They WANNA show Kawai and Paul George. We're doing everything we can right now and I think Mohawk lous and Patrick Patterson Pattison with the two guys that they just can't rely on side. I get rid of one. They get Marcus Morris. WHO's tough guy? He can hit threes shooting the ball really well from downtown this year. He sort of fits their culture. So I think the clippers come out today a little bit better than they were yesterday so for them. That's great they had to give up another the first round pick but again. That's the price. I'm sure they're prepared to pay right now to say again to to everybody. We're trying to win it right now. We're not we're not waiting. We're not worried about the future. We're going all all inside. We we UPGRADE THEIR THAT I. It's a good job by the clippers. Yeah you gotTa love it for the Clippers. I think they feel a little bit more comfortable going into a laker series which they probably felt comfortable doing marcus. Morris has defended Lebron James Pretty well in the past he's got some highlights with the Boston Celtics defending him and Ah that three four five two three four. Whatever you WANNA call it a Morris? Let's say they finish games together Paul George can maybe guard. Anthony Davis sort of gang garden as well They they gotta be Jack especially because they beat the Lakers again. You know in a way. So you know they're gonNa go get Darren Collison. It's and beat the Lakers again. Potentially if he's a free agent Doc rivers team right now like with these he's rough and tumble type dudes yeah and of all the top contenders. I mean. There's the only team that really did anything of no. I mean bucks. Pat And the Lakers obviously stayed Pat and Celtics and raptors. He did some things when we can get to them. But Yeah I'm with you guys. Is You gotta give. I guess I go really minus a-minus Marcus Morris. He's on fire right now but he is possibly doing the classic twenty points per game on a bad team playing for the New York Knicks. But someone's he's gotTa score but you know you look at shootings three point shooting over the last two and a half seasons. He's got a ton of attempts and he's made thirty nine point two percent from distance so there every team. I'm always needs another shooter. You always do and it doesn't help. It doesn't hurt. It should say that he plays some physical defense at times. Like you said possibly series was abroad. So I'm I'm high on this Little versatility a little toughness and a little bit of shooting. That's what you're getting from. Marcus Morris I do Kinda keep coming back to the fact that he was playing on the next like if he was such a title swinging Kinda Guy. He wouldn't have ended up on the Knicks. This year the Celtics probably could've brought him back if they really wanted to. You know that kind of thing. But he's the biggest. Get I suppose for a contender tender. So yeah I'm with you I. I think it's minus. They also opened up some roster spots. Maybe that's 'cause maybe another big guy comes available on the buyout market. So Marcus Morris Tale fit in. He also he's a little bit of a pounds. The ball kind of guy wants to get his ISOS shots up. But that's fine. That's how the clippers play most of the time so he will fit. In Doc rivers SORTA got himself a little souped up version of James. Posey to me here. back with the OH seven. Oh eight Celtics. Run up a better version offensively but a veteran dude. That will maybe start Marcus Morris case but posey coming off the bench physical defense and hit threes. Remember that playoff run rail and Paul Pierce and James Posey was next in terms of knocking down trees in that playoff series. And and that's what they're hoping Moore's can give them a little. You know a a bigger Posey is what is getting here. In my opinion they got a great rotation. When you look look at the team right now so deep it's zoo bots and Marcus Morris and client Paul George and Patrick Beverley and your benches mantras Herrell to Michael Green mcgruder? Landry Shamet Lou Williams Williams. They may not be done you said it. Is there a calls in common in there. Is there Marvin Williams coming in there. They'll be probably a guy or two. I have two rosters cheap. Keep going to beat the Lakers again. I think the Lakers reportedly are working out. Jr Smith according to Mars nine. Well that's the other thing for the clippers. The Lakers were apparently trying. WanNa get Morrison Right. So it's a win win there you get them and you prevent the other team that you're probably playing in a playoff series from getting on for sure and teams trae mentioned. Why didn't the Celtics keep him around? It's totally true. The Spurs did offer him a big doozy of a contract as well. And that's a great deal of the Knicks six. I don't know why What about the Knicks? In what they got back you know really. The pig is the big part there but there is heartless as well. You have a great for them a plus just for a man they got their. We're GONNA keep Marcus Morris last week and signed him to a long term contract instead they got Mohawk a decent player player and a first round. Pick up you never know. That's the Knicks. Usually giving away their picks in this instance except seven first round picks now the next four years years finally got a little war chest to work. Will they hold onto them though will they. At some point you say someone else take him. We'll take the NGELO Russell. Okay as you guys are high on the and and the wizards as I said just A. I don't know what grade you're thrown on that but taking a flyer on a guy like Jerome Robinson and his bushy eyebrows. He's got a good bushy. Oh she eyebrows. Face good old man. Face apparently liked him in the two thousand eighteen draft. Yeah that's what Fred Katz is tweets told me Okay so C. Plus Robinson. I've seen him running around for the clippers this year. Nice guy he struggled to shoot the ball. I mean he's I think he's played like under eighty games in two years with the clips and he shot thirty six percent from the floor and I think he was known as shooter. So well what you want a pair together there but maybe going with an opportunity and it's basically a glorified I pick up all anyway in Washington so why not it costs you. It who was then just waved anyway though. Didn't you just say I was getting a bobblehead coming around the corner here. I think he had a bobble head night for February seven. Oh literally tomorrow Geez. I think that's hurt Fred. Katz tweeted that out. I do believe the marketers straggling with the scheduling saying. They're not a great idea. The biggest room Robinson highlight I think is unfortunately this doesn't last for a scrooge I'm rant remember. He crossed over in and stared downsize. You don't you don't want that name. Is Google that to come up. I not good a player and it really does stink for Isaiah Thomas. The loser in the situation probably gets told. Hey we're going to the clippers going another L. A. team. I saw somebody tweet very mainly Isaiah. Thomas run out of teams. I mean he's playing for a lot of teams. This would have been sixteen in the last four years eighth overall and he gets cut so hopefully somebody picks him up one more big deal from deadline day and we talked about. Got It briefly on this morning's Daily podcast. Though it changed a little bit here Andrea gala sent to the Miami Heat in a three team deal. But it's not the team that we were maybe thinking it was gonna be in okay with Nari in the mix this morning..

"Football League always make trades is in rip people off people to stop trading with you massage at that point where now literally ripped you off and usually gets the better end of the deal but that also seems to make a trade trade usually because we all expect him to win deals now. The public perception is also wants Iran. Aside so it must be difficult for him to make trades around this time of year. That's gotTa that'd be tough. That's one of the downside of that kind of reputation but the same same Like Danny Ainge to those guys. You don't want really trade with like I don't know those stop GM's you really. We don't want deal with especially if you're a contender may let them flee the rebuilding the Inter. Something right exactly go for the new. GM's don't know any better the wrap up on this. No let's US some trades w WANNA see just I would love to see drew holiday Miami. I know it's probably not going to happen. As you mentioned Denver. Very Miami have shown interest in holiday but all signs point to you holiday likely staying in New Orleans just because he fits so well there. He's helping them kind of warm that culture and He wants to stay there. But I look at Miami and just I think holiday would be so amazing. He'd be a super upgrade for that back court. He fits in so well. In terms of being great defender. He fits their culture. I think he has a similar attitude to the heat's way of doing things and he'd make that team even scarier in eastern conference so just selfishly. I'd love to see him in Miami. I think that'd be a Lotta Fun or in Denver drew holiday going to Denver. Be a lot of fun to you. Know I just But I also think the Pelicans team at full strength maybe next year ear could be very good so I understand why they're trying to hold onto him but just selfishly. I think him in Miami. Be Fun that'd be an Messageenvy Bowler I I kind of see you. Holiday Guard version of Jimmy Butler types. Such a good defender. Who can block some shots? Yes and steals you get to the basket. That'd be a lot of fun to lodge. That'd be and I mean the he he has a pretty interesting young pieces of they're willing to power like a Kendrick non or like at Dunkin Robinson they could be worthwhile for both sides. I would love it. I agree. I think he's very similar to me. Butler so if if you were able to have drew Jimmy Bam. I think it'd be a lot of fun. So that's that's my pick. I don't think will happen. Just be clear but I think it'd be a lot of fun. which which trade would you like to see all right so I went? Even more farfetched reminded. I was just ripping this guy not too long ago but I think it'd be fun to see the clippers. If they added Andre Drummond. We've talked about how they're not totally satisfied with their center. Position Mantras Heralds a very excellent score off the bench and stuff but his defense sometimes times. He's a little bit to be desired. Zoo boxes a little slow fitted out there and just by the rumor you can tell that. They're targeting more front. Help to help against the Lakers. So I not a guy like Andre Andre Drummond. That'd be I mean. The guy's averaging seventeen points and fifteen rebounds a game he'd put up huge numbers you'd be setting screens and lobbying to dive into the ram with guys at coli was become such an approved paint playmate grandpa George trying to find him as that could be that has potential to be. That'd be huge if it did happen. Yeah Drummond totally like A. He's one of those guys that I feel like if he goes through situation like the clippers where they're atop team and they're contending. I think that'd be amazing for him to to be able to you. Know he's one of those. Is that like you said his love basketball and his effort has been questioned bitch. So when you're in a situation like that and you have guys like why Leonard and Paul George Pushing you and the team could win it all this year. That's where I think you're are GONNA get. Andre Drummond is best so I would love to see a situation like that. I think it's unlikely just like my drew holiday trade but it will be a lot of fun. Did you say Brian Windhorst was reporting something like that. Though the clippers made some calls about Drummond yeah he said that I believe on the exact low podcast from from Monday. That's where I saw. I didn't totally pull this one out of thin air either. That there's there's been talk a little bit of Taco van but is also extremely unlikely. I would say well that would be a lot of fun though. We shall see if anything big happens before the trade deadline on Thursday Thursday at three PM. Eastern time. I don't expect a whole lot. I think it's going to be some notable players getting traded and we could see a decent monetary it I think there's a lot of contenders out there that one add one more piece and there's a lot of sellers because a lot of teams again on the opposite end of the spectrum and looking to get something in return for maybe their veteran pieces or their contributors. So I think we'll see some moves out of the. It's going to be really quiet but I don't expect it to be a crazy deadline. Where a bunch of big names are being moved? I think after what we saw this past summer free agency you when so many big names got moved. I think a lot of teams are trying to see what teams at right now and they want to give their roster some continuity. We talked about the Lakers. The clippers these teams have it had time to play together yet so continuities and be very important. So I think we're GONNA see a lot more minor moves more than blockbuster moves like we all WanNa see. Would you agree with that. One hundred percent for sure But let me ask you one question before we before we go if there was one surprise. Move for like a star level player. Who Do you think it would be? It was a huge shocker. Tomorrow I have my big so de Ngelo. Russell doesn't count as he considered a star but he was an all star. I is but that wouldn't be such a surprise. Just because there's there's been so much smoke around him already okay man. That's what say my would be. Let's say like a Kevin love or something like there's been next to no talk of him getting moved recently just because the asking asking price with doesn't make sense considering his age and his contract but if you went to one of the late teens or something or like Tim O.. Walkie or something crazy like that. That would totally shift the power dynamic in the in the League or Bradley Beal Imagine that one Bradley beal would be amazing. They're super unexpected after he side at extension. And but you know he just he just didn't make it to the All Star game so he's like screw. This I tried to commit to. You guys didn't work out for me so I'm leaving. That'd be amazing. CHANGES HIS MIND in three months. I'll it'll happen but it'd be a lot of fun for us hoops hype and we'd have actually write about but we shall see what happens if you guys WanNa follow along to all different rumors emerged. Franken the rest of hoops for do an amazing job with the rumors page. It's if you go to upside DOT COM. It's right there in your face and they compile every single tweet a newspaper Article podcast apearance. TV appearance website every anything. That's put out there.

"That's exciting love. Obviously be following you on twitter. But that gives us a way to hear your analysis to so very cool Do you expect this to be a very active trade deadline. I mean there's so many big names moving this past off season. Should we expect less movement before deadline. I think there's there's a lot of food part. I think there is a lot of potential for you. Know a flurry of deals to take place but then there there isn't so that's why I think it is going to be fluid. You know I'm reading off but obviously as we've talked you know they've been talking about the end Russell offline Cappella And then some of the other that have been ventured about the last several weeks but Yeah I I think. This has the potential to have a flurry of deals. Well speaking of Russell. What's the latest there? I mean we. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been engaged in talks with the Golden Golden State Warriors since last month on possible. Russell deal as you guys reported at the athletic. What are you hearing about De Ngelo Russell and those talks in particular yet they you you know? The timberwolves have engaged the warriors since last month when me and John Kuczynski reported that they had intensified for super deandre low so obviously they. They went after him last summer as well defined do deals are the room agency. They've they've engaged the pursuit of him and they're they're trying to make something happen the the real issue with the whole Minnesota and Golden State aspect stems from you know. Golden State asking price is Minnesota's picks. You know they're there there. I trump picks this next year the year after that. I'm told and that's not something that the Timberwolves WanNa do as unprotected. I think they would discuss protected picks of their own but not unprotected that golden state want so what Minnesota is trying to do is try to use Covington Robert Covington. As a chip to try hardy gets first round picks them elsewhere But you know the problem is is making sure that those picks appeal to golden state and so if they don't then there's no real incentive for Minnesota go through the coming to just to get fixed That they're not able to cash in on with the Russell and you know as as I reported this morning. The Knicks are and other teams that are engaged the warriors in the last few days of the week on Dangelo Russell Trying to put together taxes expiring players young takes off but none of their fix. I'm told has been you know their own. First runners that are gonna be lucrative draft picks. And you know one player that I am told that they have have included. which is interesting is Kevin Knox and his inclusion in these in these potential deals For team like the Knicks they were they were in a position potentially go after de Ngelo Russell in the summer You know they had offered him AMAC's contract he probably would have looked at a way. I heard they're interested in him staying in New York work playing for them after playing for the nets And they didn't do that so now. You're trying to put together a package of you know potentially Kevin Knox and Bobby Portis in different players like that and and maybe during the draft picks and I don't think that has has shown any appeal to the warriors and I've gotten offensive. The Knicks would add Mitchell Robinson. Either not the third I think would appeal anything in the league. So we've both scenarios hurdles Both Minnesota and in New York But you know these teams have until Thursday three days to figure out you know who will bend between now and then for sure if the Minnesota deal or the New York deal if they both fall through who could we see the warriors picked back up in the off season. Is there a chance in the off season. We could see them. Try to package Russell with. Maybe they're twenty twenty first round pick. I mean do you think at some glance inevitable that Russell's GonNa get traded by the warriors or is there a scenario here where they ended up keeping him long-term. No I I think the president. I'm told that actually keep them. I think that they want to see this team through. I think that was always Joe. Lake ABS plan. And that's what they had pitched at the end of the law. So when he signed there on that for you to Max But you know they're they're gonna you know if nothing now they will take this into the summer they'll auto betty of options either with the first topic with other assets. They're going to be able to cobble together any type of trade that they want or or just keeping us. Oh so really. Golden State has a lot of cards right now and get some you know determine which direction they want to take them for sure. Andre Andre Drummond is other big name that has been out there in different rumors. He can opt out of his contract in July which hurts his trade value may scare some teams away. I've talked to a few executive if you pointed out that it's tough to make the money work because of Germans contract. What are you hearing in regards to Drummond? I you know I've written on it. I think those pretty stagnant market pick on him. You know we've heard about Atlanta. I think the knicks you know throwing around a couple of packages that you know would include. Maybe a young player but nothing nothing really exciting and so Detroit really after determine are they gonNA Trade Andre Drummond just to say we traded him and really get back nothing that makes sense long term or do they just keep a it getting invited out into the summer. But I haven't gotten the sense that there's a reengaged market for Andre Drummond at this point but again this is also a fluid situation which you now. There's yeah right. It's really a question of are they going to trade him to get like you said something back for him versus losing for nothing and free agency. If they're convinced he's going to leave or do they hold onto them and see if they can resign. Fine Him Another player that you said has stagnant market is Kevin Love. It just seems like with his contract. A deal is so unlikely. Would you be surprised if he was moved before the deadline. I would be because I just don't see a logical landing spot you know with with porn and that was the one that's been talked about but they moved as more I think reasons fit in great detail. Kasan whiteside is actually excelling. And I think him and Damian Lillard you have the credit. They know the leadership for the way he was Was I'll watch the game a couple of months ago. Where a thon really was getting school by Bachan? Do botch in the clippers in La and a little bit into him at halftime. And I think that was a changing point. A turning point in the season for that. He's been really productive. And I'm told narcotic is unlikely to return to the blazing until after the All star break break. So don't they're going to need us all white here so no. They're not in the picture. I don't see a logical landing spot so for that for those reasons the law and I think that it just makes it trade Difficult yeah and that contract is so tough even if team likes love that contract makes it very difficult to find a deal drew holidays another big name player notable player whenever the Pelicans were rebuilding earlier in the past year as we've heard his name come up but they've held onto him. I reported that he's made it known that he wants to stay in New Orleans lands. But do you think the Pelicans will seriously consider moving him anyway. I think they're gonNA listen. You Know David Jordan and the executive VP. He's always of the mindset like had no matter which player on the roster. I'll listen obviously is untouchable it over that high price tag on on Giradi Ingram's turned himself into an untouchable here but I I think he's GonNa Listen. Jihadis made it clear reported you know he wants to stay. I think there's a desire for him to see this thing through the season with new New Orleans They they want thirteen twenty game. He's the turn from injury. Recently play well clearly showed You know since his return with England blossoming Lonzo ball playing much. Better Josh Sharp Sons. Come on your that. This team has an upside. They ever threshold that they can reach potentially become competitive in the western conference. And so I think that has appealed to drew. I think you around the league. People have sent changes my son. You know there was a lot of talk different points. In this year that he would request a trade later he would wanna move and that never came and as a team continue to play better. I think jus commitment started to get stronger. But you know you have the Denver's in Miami of the world that have shown interest in drew but at this point I haven't gotten a sense that there is you know a logical deal at this juncture. One player that we've heard a lot about there's Kyle Kuzma we do what they call the trade rankings where we list all the players that have been mentioned in trade rumors and count. How many times I mentioned and we list the top five players and WHO's Who's been mentioned there? Most of the year he keeps popping up in rumors most recently. There was kind of talk that maybe he's going to be safe that he's not going to be moved. When you look at the Lakers is as a whole how? What do you think they are doing as approach the trade deadline? And how do they view coups MMA and is he really safe or is that just being put out there to give them leverage. I I think you know. I had reported A month plus ago that they were listening on calls on cruise on Kuzma and you know several several teams are really reaching out to them and seeing you know. Can we get him. What's what's his asking price But I I haven't gotten a sense that they are actively trying to shop chop them or get rid of him. You know there's low contract makes any deal hard you'd probably need to check AB Bradley and multiple different rotation players. Like you know cook and and demarcus cousins guys the lower end of the of the guys that still hold value As far as chemistry and everything I've been told the Tennessee on the Lakers is is something to behold hold like. These guys are really get along on the floor and I think rob Pelinka there. Jim Asked to take that into account. Let me look at any change. That's made like you walk. Starting a Kouzmin multiple the different players on the back onto the bastards. It's like you're getting rid of a lot of chemistry on this team so I think there's a lot of you know there's going to be questioned about that But listen my sense always been that the Lakers would only move. They got a high end. You know rotation player Not just you know making a deal just to add a normal shooter. Like kind of what they did last year and trying to get Mike Moskal by giving up new batch. Yeah that makes sense Robert COVINGTON. We mentioned him. How is it tied to the Russell talks but you reported that Houston Dallas? Milwaukee are in the mix what happens with Robert Covington because when I talked to certain people people run the league. They predict that he will be moved or that. You know at least there's going to be serious talks. What do you think happens with Covington? Yeah I think I think Houston has really we should showed a lot of interest in Barbara coming. Minnesota has shown a lot of urgency to find a landing spot for him. I think You know when you look at Houston in Milwaukee Dallas. I think these are all teams that that they all looking at Potential landing spot slow coming and I think they're urgency is really high. They WANNA find a deal out there. Sure but you know like we. We can tie back into what we discussed the first question you know. Their whole agenda goal is to try to get the type of drastic the ample Valium anthropic that they can take and then flip to the warriors With with an angel waiting..

"Hello and welcome to the hoop collective podcast. We talk about the new Englanders joining us. Well Bobby's on new Englander. He's in New England but first joining us from Boston where he was. This is by the way Sunday afternoon. Pre Super People were recording this so anyway joining us from Boston. Where he was at the seventy sixers celtics game last night a much needed win for the Celtics over the seventy sixers excuses? Tim bontemps Hello Tim. What's up Brian and joining us from Bristol? where he is going to be hunkered down this week during the trade deadline is our front office? Insider Bobby Marks Bobby. I only have one question. Forget all the trade stuff. How many pairs of shoes did you bring with you to Bristol this weekend? I brought apears too two big bags and I've already a doubletree cookie. How's that for you? Eight pairs of shoes. I'm over Packer Tim. You'll learn about me actually during the summer because I was in this hotel fifty to sixty nights I actually had my own wardrobe closet with all my suits that were here. Yeah when is Bobby Bobby was just finally leaving. I saw him in New York. He's finally leaving after the draft and free agency the crazy free agency that we have is finally going home and he had these enormous suitcases. And I said Bobby what is in those suitcases. And how many pairs of shoes did you have for last year's draft and Free Agency for that run about twelve. So this is about twelve pairs about that. No I did nine. Oh you were. I didn't know you were such a shoe made this is. This is mind blowing information for me. I'm a shoe guy. I like the iron also. So there you go all you watch him work the touchscreen moving all these pieces around this week in Bristol special attention to those shoes those were picked out special for this week and cultivated waited. And you won't see the same twice probably just like an NBA player so the trade deadline coming up four or five days ago. Bobby I would have told you. I thought this was going to be kind of bland. Maybe it's just the nature of things made. It was the tragedy that we had last week. That was slowing things down. I have felt much more quivers in the force. The last seventy two hours just in in my conversations. I now of modifying my belief that we are going to see a little bit of action leading into Thursday's deadline on what's your field before we get individual teams. What's your feel out there as as we get ready for this this important week well. It's notorious that the week of the trade deadline when you put a deadline line on something right guys that you basically you got to show your hand like the conversations that teams have had in December during the G. League showcase sir. After new years you know those are the foundation and now it's now it's about a time like a deal. You're not going to do deal either. Andre we're GONNA get traded or he's going to be unhappy person in Memphis when they likely don't buy out his contract and so I think yeah. I think there's going to be a pickup here. We're you know. We've only had five trades last year in total during the season we had twenty nine so the interesting thing will be though. How is that going to be one of those teams that are going to be in the top six of the eastern Western conference that we already know are locked for playoffs to kind of shake up the things a little bit or is it going to be a team like Oklahoma City? WHO's in that seven seat or Orlando or Brooklyn? Maybe a team like Phoenix. WHO's trying to get into playoffs else for a while so I do think it will pick up? I don't think it's going to be like it was last year when there was twenty nine trades but I do think things will pick up this week Tim. You're highly focused on the Atlantic Division. But obviously you know what's going on the holy I feel like the the eastern conference prince even with former walkie is forty one and seven I still flick there. Some opportunity for some of those teams who sit there two through five I feel like this is opportunity for somebody to take a step forward as a challenge in Milwaukee. Do you think we could see that happen in the next four days. Well so here here to me is the fundamental problem for that lot Atlanta. Thinking why I agree with you that the East is pretty wide open. And you even go down to Indiana and the six seat. I think all six of those teams could make a move to really give themselves a shot. I think the problem is you just Kinda the those top sixteen. I think capsule it would lease out as a whole whereas whereas you look at those teams and whether it's Philly or Miami or Boston or Toronto all those teams kind of stuck in the middle where they might WanNa make Moose News. But they don't really have. The piece is necessary to get those deals done. Whether that is they don't have the contracts or they don't have the draft picks to facilitate take kind of trades. They want meanwhile on the other side like you're talking about wall these teams could really make a move and get a player to kind of take the next step. Who is that player? WHO's the guy that's available lable that those teams can go get? I mean it doesn't seem like a guy that you holiday is available Bradley. Beal can't be traded. Toronto was looked at as a team back in the summertime. I'm that if they struggle. Maybe I'll be able whether second in the east. They're not going to trade him at this point so to me. I think it's going to be difficult for those teams to make a really game changing move because both they don't have the contracts to really get to the numbers they need to make that kind of a trade and I'm just not sure those kind of players are available. It feels to me like the guys that are going to be out. There are going to be kind of like moderate level chesapeake. You're trying to fortify your depth. You're trying to add an extra rotation player I don't. I don't think we're GONNA see like Marcus Auditing traded like the raptors slasher even an equal Amir attach like the bucks last year. It just you know maybe maybe Marcus this Morris's at level player to you guys. I guess you probably is close to Mitch. But it just doesn't seem like the difference making players that are really going to elevate a team like say Miami Israeli available right now to go get. Let's talk about some individual teams team that I would like to talk about the clippers. My feel from talking to people in the League and the clippers are they operate in stealth. There don't foresee a lot of their moves moves although you can foresee their coli. Recruitment nine months in advance but you see a lot of their moves too easily early. Tobias Harris Trade never got public before came out. Paul George Trade states stay private until pretty late but but my understanding from talking to sources out there that the clippers are pretty significantly in the market for a starting center a big big center a true center. They they. They're not sure that zoo botch zoo. Botches can get them through a series if they you have to play really go bare Nikolay Yokich and so they're looking for a starting line center and at that even though. I think that they could use a ball handler or someone who can to create a little bit. We've got underway Dowa. That that's been secondary on their lists that they're looking for a center. Bobby do you think that there is. Do you think the clippers have the assets. Do you think that they can pull that off and you know what are you hearing about them. Well and it depends depends bion also that. Who are you willing to move right? I I do think you know. They've got their own first round pick. And this is the lone year right because of that trade with With Oklahoma City. Where you're going to be able to move a first? So that picks in late twenty in late twenties. I think the big question for Los Angeles is that they're going to have a look in a mirror is that whoa regarding mantras Hurrell right I mean what is going to be the cost to keep him this summer. Are they comfortable paying him. You know fourteen fifteen fifteen million dollars for two for backup and I think he's I think he's a specialty player so I think you're right when you said that. They are in the market for a center. A permanent center a guy that has made some length on his link on their contract You know doesn't make sense to explore player like and I know it's not going to be a sexy name but player Duane Denman in Sacramento Right. Who was in a dog house had requested? A trade has a couple of years left on his contract. Can Kind Kinda give you a little bit of stability at that at that center position here but You're right though the clippers do Kinda work under under the radar as far as how they go about doing their deals with their. You know. Take Paul George and y off the table. Now you're looking at you know guys like Hurrell L.. I don't think Lou Williams is. They're not going to move him. You've got some younger players that laundry Shama. Who certainly has a good role there? You've you've got the expiring contract of Moe Harkless also so I think Mo- Heart Michael Green Jarkko. Marcus marking Jamaica. Green in that first round pick would be movable pieces the biggest center on the market is Andre Drummond. There's not a lot of you know the Pistons have. I've not gotten anything going for him. I wo- should reported about them talking with a the hawks. That trade kind of went away. Hawks made another move instead. Tim Could you see Drummond. Could you see that it would be hard to pull off because it would require multiple pieces to get Drummond. I don't know if you could do a three or four for one trade but that would be a hell of a move and I think drums prices discount pretty pretty far down while it's funny actually while record this podcast. The Pistons are in overtime against the nuggets. Right now and nickel Yokich is going up against Andre Drummond as we're talking and that is a name that you know. I'm not sure I would say. It's been linked to the clippers. But we keep talking about the clippers need size to your point right like Andre Andre Drummond versus say Dwight Howard and the play offs or Anthony Davis in the playoffs. Like all of a sudden the clippers are not going to be getting around on the boards against the Lakers. Right and I think it's safe to say that as we're talking about who clippers trying to get size. That's that's the team that I would say. The clippers are probably most worried about in terms of trying to slow down guys inside. And if you have more heartless and either dramatical Greener Zoo botches contract and a trade. You already pretty close to the number. I think you need to get to trade for drum it. I don't think you'd need to go an extra couple pieces beyond that and to your point there isn't much interested him so I I don't know if the Pistons are going to get better better than a couple expiring contracts in a late first round pick. I'm not sure they're GONNA be held offers at all. Bobby what's the Pistons situation with the luxury tax line. I mean they do not want to be a tax team. There are three thousand three thousand below the tax trade. There were dump money would. Would you know now would be incentivized. Not that's what you're looking for in an Andre Drummond Trade There's some some of the concern for them. I think is whether they want to commit to paying drummond. I'm in long term. Right because the ops out this summer you potentially lose them for nothing or you have to commit to him on some kind of a long term deal like at this point they might take a first round pick just well the only thing there would be. You know bobby you you would have a feel for this like as part of the trade they could ask Drummond to pick up his option. Say Hey you you wanNA come play in. La Play for a championship. What you pick up your option for next year and that would you know but I mean that's pretty far down the line? I'm just driving would be an interesting. Here's a few fish big fish on. And here's a question. I mean if you're if you're the clippers and if you're the Pistons and from what I've learned is that yes they have not been able to get a first round pick for for Drummond and they'll not they won't just trade them just to just to trade them. Is that if if you know. This is a hypothetical here but if if if the clippers call and offer you mantras Ari'el Zoo Bach and let's say Mill Harkness for Drummond and that pick which is in the twenty s and. I'm just saying I miss mentioning those names. Because that's how you're basically going to get the money to work here you know. Would you do that. If you're the clippers I don't think I would trade mantras at all this year. How much they would pay him the summer and whether or not he fits long-term? That's a really fair question. I'd be stunned if they traded mantras because I think the thing thing for the way they play if you have a frontline center that you like it's a it's a legitimate big you can play big and mantras herald is a killer playing against small ball centers. He's one of the best small the wall centers in the League right now and I just think that that gives you a fastball curveball. The the idea is to is to add that to that center rotation I'd be stunned if they traded him. I also think a vital and that would be an incredible hall. FRATER Kreider Drummond. I don't think the Pistons are getting that kind of hall but the name it's been linked to the tango name has been linked to the clippers is Marcus Morris. Nice not a center. He's a forward stretches a floor hardnosed defender they were mulling signing signing him..

"Like if trays already. Putting the pressure on them to acquire people go. Yeah I get my friends in. I like twenty tonight in twelve thirty nine minutes night of nine from the free throw line four or five from three. You only took twelve shots. But they win mic. Well what I was gonNA say is is. Maybe if he'd taken more shots they would have won if he was more selfishly. Yeah that's right. Yeah that's tough. Love you what I say. I kind of hope they trade for drumming. I'm not sure what it would accomplish now. Getting him like in planning to keep him. So you don't have to write fight the free market market. But I just don't know what it from what I've seen as the league. Parsons for salary. A first round pick like not their own reddish which I would do an heartbeat for drum and Detroit. I have to like a first cramped picking a young player but then I filled with reddish. If you can get those two things for this might just walk for nothing you gotTA consider it. Reddish is not a great hall but perfectly Detroit just so perfectly Detroit. I feel like they beat him up in Detroit. Well I mean in like the Stanley Johnson. Vein the challenges in vain. I got the Damn Boya. That guy just wanted to come to American play some hoops. This great get to play with the Thomas Blake. Griffin's done for the year the I hate the and who knows if it's like if you played for a real team it's like I'd I'd be back in the All star break but because the Pistons I'm all set. I think this is a really injury man. Probably just think like. I'm sure it's some of both but I really it's it really does seem like body breaking down which stinks and honestly honestly. I think it's even more reasonable. But you have to trade drumming but you have to do anything of value for Blake you play out his contract or trade him for like worse contracts tracks you have to get either the first round pick you give from. The hawks might help you offload blake so I got to or it's even just like Detroit's team that could very much benefit from multiple cracks. Yeah so either way. It's like we you were there. Pick would their own pick right now would be seven seventh or breath. Pick pick in the pick think the hawks will be given up is the nets pick for prints which would be sixteen to like not a great book talent sixteen through cracked the top sixteen organ. Like please somebody take this blade contract off right and if you end up with like six and sixteen and but the kings have liked the three pick you could trade six and sixteen to the Kings. I don't know what the fuck they're doing now for sure so so again. I think that's exactly why they. If that's the rumored trade I would probably pull the trigger for both sides honestly I do like it for Atlanta because it gives trey like a real team-mate like veteran teammate. Because all of his like all the players on the Hawks Center like Kevin Herders good. But he's everybody twenty-one Gray and Drummond's young as hell to but he's been the League fifteen years so he gets. Ah He's he's the guy who I like a change of scenery guy because he plays well now but I think he were in another place and he's like trae young Atlanta. There's great like I think he's he's going to be even better. I don't care about his talent. He intrigued younger friends. Like we've just seen that's just how this goes. So if Andre Andre Andre Drummond and trae younger friends you get Andre Drummond for sure that guess is an add on. Internet doesn't like Andrei Drama Anna. No Celtics fans don't like Andre Drummond which is peculiar cuss. Find the poll of the day. Because I want to see how would you rather pay twenty to twenty five million for mantras heralds next deal with thirty one million for drumming and acid drumming. I saw most people say Drummond Buddy. The quote tweets Iza from like basketball team. And we're all pretty pro German. I don't even think it's close like that's why I was. No it's not at the same as much for a little too nice but I just WanNa see the results. I wouldn't even know poll. I'll it'd be damn why I thought it was but it was too now. I'm looking at. It was a lot of either no or just Montreal and again is like if he's getting twenty five million to get to bring Louis Cohen all these James Harden all these guys with them. Because if so I gotta think about that. Yeah now if you tell me heroes in fourteen for Harold thirty one for German fourteen for here but if it's twenty to twenty five yes for extra million I would. I would take the best rebound of all all the time literally the best rebound of Alta right and Drummond bigger dude. I don't think it's credit for his athleticism like he'll go up and get it any montrose. Great like the exact role he does but but he's like for great teen. He is a seventh man. And if you want to seventh manned twenty five million dollars guys being like people like neither will Yes da quasi which one so I would think I would wouldn't think twice about it. Yeah see a lot of Celtic swears has been constantly looking for another center. And they hear Drummond's assignment at the looking for senator. Just here drums. Name get brought up a lot. And everyone's like yeah that'd be great. And then someone explained to them that or require trading like hayward form and they're like oh no. You can't do that German stinks. It's like well no that's too far the other way you've gone way too far against Esta. The money just doesn't work you can just end it there but the the got a lot of he's drums not playable in the playoffs awesome. It's like is he not playable or is he next to Reggie Jackson and another traditional. I guess he did not playable or he's literally never been even a decent basketball Boston because admittedly trae youngest the best point guard. I can't say player who's good last year but for the second olive replay. Yet like they're picking will be more dynamic than blake in drumming like trade in pick and roll. That's what I'm saying that in the Hawks are I think twenty the eighth offensive rebound the dead last in even to rebel hell. Yeah so yeah and if it costs the salary a first round pick that's not our own on the mark I just clicked. The hawks got the first pick and draft engineer. So if you tell nicb rollout trae Edwards herder hunter and drummer so I went for two better now and it's like like hot air. I don't know what his on ball defenses. Look like every game this year but coming out of Virginia whose projected to be a defender like maybe not like Kawai but a plus defender so. It's it's like. The hawks defense is so bad you just. You can't fix it all the way across the board. What's especially if trays always going to be a point guard? You know you're punting that but you get drama in there now it's like all right. Now we have an anchor. We have hunter who can take their best wing herders not scrub defensively by any stretch. But it's like now especially with like Collins in there I think in all right defender like now are actually competitive on that end as opposed to just putting it it again. You Drove Edwards right you swap out cameras for Anthony Edwards addict that drain probably take wiseman get get drummond. Another senator to PLAY NEXT MR IF TRAE I'm with the Hawks Fascination Donna cap cap space to write like seventy million dollars Cap Speight which again. Okay if you're kidding Drummond we'll driven thirty million. We're not paying anybody else. Who Cares right you make twenty five issue? Atlanta's one of those teams to who they they're not getting a ton of meetings as it is one hundred percent if he wants to be there. Please Andrei Looking. Yeah because all the right now they two hundred seven million in cap space but this year next year thirty three Mike. Parsons Twenty five falls off Evan. Turner in Alan Crap eighteen eighteen apiece. Those follow Alex Lens of free agent like the only people they're paying is they got. I don't even know if that's a team option. But Jabbar if he's back as a bench enterpise even better. And they have the option to bring back them bringing Damian Jones just Fernando and yet you don't have to pay a tray for three more years or so if I bring in drum and I give him another three plus one probably for our four for one twenty but the last year as a player option. I'd probably do it. It's a lot of money for but talent cost you twenty five mae for Parsons Right now. Right it's a lot of money and it's a a lot of money in one respect another respect in the back you in thirty minutes. I locked for big in this league. I get it. What else are they gonNA spend thirty thirty on the channel Garson? Evan Turner like it would only so many did for the past two the only reason have those guys because they came attached assets except for turn. But as I okay you did that. You got the assets now. A certain point like intrigues everything. Twenty nine points a the game right now. He's not trying to be eight and twenty one heat out on their own building shit so again. Ideally if I had ideally I wait and sign Jaanus. That's what I would do this. Summer is going to be a couple restrict restrict guys drum. derozen well listen. dumbed down eight as a free agent while they sign him. He didn't think that digit. Yeah Listen Have Herald for twenty two twenty five drone thirty one or eighty for the veteran minimum. If that I WANNA I have a conversation so I like I know. It's not an ideal fit put on the hawks for to bed of fit fit.

"Every display a big giant one thousand nine hundred eighty s thing. ESPN pieces of chicken off the piece finals. MVP look we agree. My two guards are where we disagree on. Both of them Damian Lillard so I expect expected to rip city blogger blazers edge to write a fawning. Six hundred word puzzles me. Well that's why you're smarter than I am Fawning and this is where I cheated a little bit. Although I don't think it's shooting I put Paul George as my second team guard out. That's that's full cheap. Why that's terrible? Their starting lineup is Patrick. Beverley and hull rabble four six ten. WHO's the shooting guard in in Los Angeles is starting lineup? WHO's the shooting guard in their starting lineup? That's at full Kawai. Is it more heartless Hi person tearing us more coastguards fours a lot. I'm cheating and I'm going with Paul George. Because he's one of the defining players of the season and until and unless the League prohibits me from doing that. He's my second team guard. I admire your ingenuity on that one. It's not even ingenuity. He's he he guarded Ricky Rubio Abo last night. He's the starting shooting guard of those Angeles Clippers. Book it well. If that's the case then he should be you. Can't you can't go back now. You already chose Bradley beal and gave me. I was just trying to play within the rules. I didn't know you're bending the rules. Okay Gimme Gimme thirteen thirteen. It gets to gets a little interesting. What's shocking to me? Is How many centers we have yet thirteen. Thirteen centers dead. Nobody ever. No one should never thought that I have herald listed town. SA- Bonus Drummond Gobert and Yokich. Six guys playing pretty. Well yeah all those guys are good. Yeah if you put Davis at center there's GonNa be some angry fan. Bases didn't make thirteen all NBA center. There was a fuller blog posts. Couple blockposts piston powered is going to be mad. That KRISTA. Yeah I'm still quiz. Andre Andre Drummond was one of the first guys I crossed off often that list that you just read I have. This is a personal thing. It's the thirty game mark. It's not going to last the rest of my life like our NBA all MBA voting ours when the people who voted you for Westbrook that year they have that on the resume for the rest of their lives. Bam is my all team my third. I'm not even gonNA fight with you about it. I love what he does but perfect perfect center for the kind of basketball. I would want my team to play. was she was on the Celtics. who were they? I think it was Atlanta. The trae young. It's over game. Bears Moment for tree on wholesale since left in the game you're declaring it over Bam. That game went to overtime and Bam iced it with the Pete Muravich Rajon Rondo fake behind the back pass layup and one I I let out an audible yelp on my Co.. Like 'cause I that was I I really like he's had some great leap past moments this year. Kiss three triple doubles Amal in Alabama. So He's my center Lillard would be would would have to be one of the guards and then it's Brogden or Simmons for the other spot love. It love their Brogden. got a mentioned Simmons because of what he's done then defensively I don't love it but But I had to mention Brogden so that those would be my two guards guards or oh I didn't finish forward US and then then forward so I had Paul Georgia's one forward to playing by the rules and then he'll say by the rules. Some of US are bad boys who And then I think it's Jimmy Butler with with the with all due respect to my guys in Boston there my to steer. They made the shortlist for me tatum and Brown as two guys. They're in the conversation Asian whatever garments as you have mentioned. It's a big reason why they're playing so well. So I went Cambe and I'll get to the second guard later. Peter Butler is a no-brainer at one of the forwards about it. I put Yokich at thirteen kind of looking forward as like. He's he's starting to play a little bit more like Yokich by the end of the season. He'll be here to me leading towns. It was hard because towns has had substance atieno offensive season and they are dead on offense without him. They cannot score at all but their defense is so bad. And I've been so bad has to be blamed for this. He's part of the problem and in some of the public stats are low. Wishy washy about that I checked with some guys who worked for teams. What is your internal fancy? Metrics say about towns so again as bad as ever so i. I took towns out and put your kitchen. That left a garden a forward my last guard spot. You're not you're not going to like this at all. I swear to God. I did not do this. Despite you put Devon Booker Wow. I'm not anti Devon Booker. I'm not in a feud with Devon Booker. I think you aren't a few. There are eleven and sixteen and one of the Games. They just lost an implant Bradley. Beal is eight in seventeen. I know so Devon Booker shooting numbers right now. Fifty one percent overall forty percent from three fifty five percent from two that is just outrageously good. It's great like and so over beal over Donovan Mitchell. Who Haven't mentioned who's coming on a little bit? I went book again. It's a placeholder. The last four spot since since I cheated and put Paul George at Guard. Is this a wide open race. You want to hear some names. Sure Simmons because he'll be eligible at both guard and forward. He's a guard. Tobias Harris More Garden Pudeur Chubais harass sure Brandon Ingram Tobias Harris available printed. Ingram you WanNa you wanNA trade for him. No Brandon Ingram too many losses. I can't do Brandon Ingram and then the Boston guys at least two Boston. Guys are winning. I there was party. The thought. Could you put Bam Orson bonuses. Ford's because you know Bam starts alongside Meyers Leonard and often cigar case so bonus guards force. Could you get acute so I'm leaving that one open right now. I would probably put Simmons right now open just like I would probably put Simmons Right now. Simmons is in Pencil Right now but I'm I'm I WANNA see the bonus cases fun. I'm trying I'm trying like so. Bonus plays a lot of center. Obviously when Turner's on on the floor and they split them up but like he starts at power forward Bam starts defending opposing power forwards. I still haven't seen anybody fully realized how to stop the SA- Bonus Brogden pick and roll. Those guys have been so good to them and I've been is basically a European guy even though he's from here the way he plays quays and the stuff he does is not American. He's really really good. If it came out that he was living in Lithuania for the first thirteen years as life. I wouldn't be shocked then. You wouldn't be eligible to be president in everyone wants him to It's a it's a tough P for the fans I I know the buffs fans are playing great and by the way it's we've come around because the bucks fans are now super sensitive about this. Stop mentioning Brogden. We're twenty twenty seven and four or whatever It's a tough beat because I would have loved to have seen the same Savona screen. With the honest. The Best Player in the League would have been a fun thing to watch a crunch. There are two who reasons that the Brogden thing has to be a little bit of a TVD. Although I in the end I think they lost a quality player. Obviously number one. We'll see in the playoffs right the play. The boxing went all the Games. I wanted to regular season. This is about the playoffs and we also what happened to Eric Bledsoe in the playoffs last year particularly in the last in the conference finals And number two you. There are only a little bit under the tax right and the narrative is if they didn't want to pay the tax what they really didn't want was to like twenty five million dollars over the tax in retaining Brogden. They're going to have an opportunity at the trade deadline to make an incremental trade that takes them from under the tax to a little bit over the tax a reasonable amount over the tax. I think if they were to do that and they have the Pacers pick remember they have the pacers lottery protected. Pick from the broadened trade. If they were to do that I think they would regenerate some goodwill with the fans fans were criticizing them for Duckie and attacks. The other thing I will say is the idea that this is gonna be mad about Brogden being gone. He gave a quote it recently. About how you know. Of course he likes to play with Malcolm. He's being polite like play with other good players. The idea that they did not go on us and say are you gonNa be alright with us and get his. Okay is ludicrous. Of course it did. Of course they want the eyes and said look this is the situation. Are you going to be mad if we do this. And I'm not even reporting this. I'm assuming that they followed common sense logic and that he was okay with it and even if he wasn't okay with it what are you GonNa do. He's under contract for two more years. No if free agency if he's not okay with it you let him make the deal if he wants to sign for signed Brogden to whatever contract he wants well. I think you made the move where we'll do this. But but are you saying I actually I could. There's are the rumor mill is already going in with the honest thing even though it's a year and a half away it's not a year and a half way though it's six months away the moment you turn it down it's usually over the the sweepstakes point. Yeah but I'm saying a year and a half from when he could switch teams games and it's funny to hear these different teams. There are the usual suspects floating out. But I think he could be the one guy that stays. Oh for sure. Why not the team is awesome? The coaches awesome. He likes it there. He likes the city. He's put down roots there and a lot of different ways. Ah I think him. Staying is the most likely scenario but there are a lot of scenario wall really to he stays relieves. Rally deserves to be watched at all times with this law. You can't take your is off Pat Riley. No Way He's got the rings. Got The bag of rings ready to go. He's he's got his speeches. He's been refining them for forty years. That would be worried about getting eating in a room with Pat Riley myself like I I would worry that I would go meet Pat Riley and all of a sudden I'd be calling. ESPN be like hey. I just took a huge pay cut..

"Cut out. Bradley beal is the best off ball guard in the NBA. Right now off ball guard. That's a stats as soon as a stretch. Because he's actually not necessarily off ball guard. He's it's more of an on bald guy. If you watch them play all he does is front pick and roll in isolation when you say awful you mean shoot only right now. I think he's more like I look at him as has the he and Klay Thompson or similar I would say that Klay Thompson might be the best off all garbage hurt right now so I don't Cook James Harden as an oddball guard even always a two there are plenty of shooting guards quote unquote the other guys in his conversation or like Devon Booker Donovan Mitchell like is he better than those so fused when you say that so so all they do is run picket role. You understand that right brab once in a while. But I'm saying okay so booker but you look at Luke. Gaza point guard or not I do I do I look at Lucan hardness point guards they they run the offense they bring the. I don't think I don't think he'll is that Yeah I take. I would take over Devon Booker right now but down a close second in my my missing. Anybody I don't think I out of the Mitchell. Nah I'm not no I mean derozen again. derozen hasn't had a great year. I wouldn't put him up there. It's really him and that's why I think Klay is the answer when he's healthy but he's not healthy right. I think Klay play is that guy. It's amazing people. Clay Clay is not first second third team all NBA lecture. So people vote him hot and Brad Appeal or book wasn't either but breviary was for thirteen. NBA with all due respect. They're wrong like Klay Thompson. Clayton Healthy Klay Klay Thompson. I'm taking him in every single time overly deal again. That's no disrespected Bradley. Beal and he's great. He's averaged thirty a game this year. The by the way the wizards have I think the number one rated offense in the leaguer eager number one or two. They've been offensively. They've been amazing and it's a lot of it is because of Bradley beal. How good he's been? They're not playing any defense whatsoever. So we gotta ask our Guy Admiral Scofield next time. We have on about like whether or not Scotty Brooks is saying screw it. We're GONNA score sheets on two points and not really care about the defense event. Because they've been impressive and I I'm at the court all right next one. This is probably this is the last one I have for you here. Close out with this one. And this is a maybe a provocative one we've talked about the Pistons in the past talked about Andre Drummond. According to Sean Devaney the Hornets actually have interest in trading and bringing in Andre Drummond to their team. The Hornets have been surprising. Team this year so switzer stretch trading a trade sending Drummond to Charlotte that makes sense for both the Hornets and the Pistons. One thing about the Pistons is they wouldn't have that doesn't like free up cap space because the Blake Griffin deal. So what what would they get in return. I'm trying to understand it. I was only assume Biz Mak biondo in like bad like maybe a tomb or or something like that right so I I don't I don't think that moves the needle for either team to be honest with you. Okay so I so I went the trade machine and you're biondo and kid go Kherson. They're both on one year deal so they get to expiring contracts back now. Andre jump is probably going to opt out of his deal anyway because he wants to become a free agent whether or not he stays in Detroit or not. But there's been all these questions about whether or not he's a guy that you should trade for whether or not he's a Max contract guy he won't he's probably GonNa want the Max deal bill. He's his his rebounding. Numbers are off the charts. He's an unbelievable rebounder. I actually kind of liked the fit though in Charlotte. They've got a lot of good young guards pete. Pj Washington good three point shooter. They've obviously got a grant and they signed your boy up from the Celtics Terry Rozier if you put a big physical defensive rebounding center in that next there actually caught up an interesting team and I do think like if there's any team that could probably that needs to maybe overpay to get a start of their markets probably Charlotte. I can kind of see that working out. Br Andre Andre Drummond in Charlotte if both teams if he's interested in being there and they're interesting paying him so why does it work for him in Detroit. Why can't they win games? Because I think they they seem to they have. I don't think they have like the like whether it's who They've derrick rose on the wing. They've got Luke Kennard who I liked. But I think that that that Horner's this team is a little bit better suited towards a style of play like remember like the magic back in the day in nine ten when they had Dwight Howard in the middle and a bunch of shooters on the end that. That's I think I. The Hornets could kind of recreate a poor man's version of that and be relevant again and maybe better in stream on the rebuilding process. Because I don't think as much as I don't love drumming I I think he still is a valuable player like I want on my team. I don't know about next money but I think you kind of make sense. And when you look at the Pistons I think they kind of need to be and rebuild mode. I don't think they're going anywhere. They're foreign ten this year. Are you really going to give him a mass contract and him in Blake Griffin together for the next few years. I don't think that's going to age gracefully so if I'm the Pistons I'm I'm looking at letting him go and I can get something valuable payment cap space. Potentially an expiring deals. I think I would do that. What would you look at Drummond? If let's say you WANNA keep them but you only want to pay him ex and what number in sororities my. It's think of a four year deal. What is the the number you'd be okay with if you're the Pistons and it wasn't number you'd be okay with your Charlotte if you're GonNa Inc the contract you if I'm Charlotte? I'd probably overpay them. Because because you're not getting any stars to go to Charlotte it's really hard to get guys to go there so I'd probably over paper him for most other teams. I'd probably pay him. Whatever the averages for the average center in the League is it like like twelve million fifteen million or so? I'd pay a little bit more than that I think I think he's I think he's an above average center. So you'd pay anywhere between seventeen and twenty. You'd be fine four years eighty four years seventy something like that I can live with. That's the number if that's the number he's getting be fine with that. If this number is hundred and thirty I'm not okay with that. Okay all right well I I think that's an interesting to look out for because I do like the way that horns team plays and they just I think a guy like you know like drumming. "I guess Fergus all there might not be a trade team. 'cause I went through it. It's like there's somebody. But you know, most teams have a center they. Like are kinda like or they don't really have the contract. What form or they just don't want to spend twenty four million dollars to bring some big lung? I dude I give you can I give you mon-. I'm gonna slam spoiling my call. I don't care. I don't care this. Let's throw caution to the wind would I give you one. I would love it. I don't think they do this either. But I've long been interested in the idea of Kosovo for Andre Andre Drummond. Oh, wow. So Detroit gets off Drummond's contract which they've been trying to do off and on for like two years and Memphis can kinda sell that is like well, maybe change of scenery still pretty young. He can lob the catch lobs and do this. And that and like, you know, it's something I dunno. It's this interesting to me. Kind of like that one. I don't think Memphis does it because I bet they view Drummond is almost a negative asset. But again as you're saying it, it's not like they're going to get two first round picks in a good young player from Arkansas, it's not going to happen. Well, what do you think they see with triple j do you think they see him as a five or somebody who complain next to a center, and he'd be more successful that way? I think the value of him is both, you know, who depending on who the other guy is to me, he's a little more five ish. But as he extends range a little bit. I think he's gonna be pretty malleable in like, a, you know to use a cliche sort of an hour for kind of way where you know, if he's younger as long as young and athletic. He can defend a lot of fours just fine. I like him as a five if my goal is to eventually win the title because that's fair because he's basically everything you'd want. He's already hitting threes at a ridiculous rate for nineteen year old who's your favorite added curiosity out of? The Andrea eight and Wendell Carter and triple j. Well, right now, it's triple j that's how I feel too. I do like eight and more than most people. Do I think he's made tangible progress already defensively disease enough from like a like completely clueless to beginning to get a clue, but that's still progress and Wendo Carter lately looks overwhelmed by his responsibility on the Bill. The bulls leadership council really gets it looks like it's really getting to him..

"Com. The top five centers going into the season. Now, the fact that number five on the list is Al Horford. What shit should tell you the state of where we are with the gosh. Point? Yeah, Al Horford a true four. I would never look at him as Albor. It is not a five proved that in Atlanta and they asked him to play out of position for too long. He couldn't do it and they couldn't win with him as a five. So that's it. Number four shack was Marcus all in Memphis. Two people whose big news five. Five shooter jumbo. He plays big. Okay. Number three on the list was Joel Embiid in Philly. He's all Joel. Joel Embiid. I think he needs to stay inside though. You'll have to, you know how to shoot jumpers because everybody else shooting jumpers and it needs to stay healthy. This was given while we meet me put a little meat on the frame someone when I was playing everybody's to pick and pop them not picking them Papa bussing. So he needs to pick one thing and master that can't do both. Okay. Number two on the list was Nicole Jokic and Denver. I like the joker of nothing. Both. What voltage? Oh. Joker. Okay. Bridge can do Spanish. See also. It was really a strenuous. Yeah, number one on the list by the way, Anthony Davis in New Orleans. He is number one of the the brow or for those this. But he's just drop by this whole controversy. We had two years ago when people try to shack, says dunk is not a big man. He's not. He's a power forward period ethic. There's a power for stop it. He's not a Senate, get on my face with that. Okay, guy brand pitcher. He's. Yes, he can't put it in the center and if they're gonna play mesh center, I'm not mad at in my mind. I think he's a power for it. Okay. Welcome is money how much money. That list is not gonna play till till February, right. He's not. He's not play Andre Jordan. He's not playing call Andre, Andre Drummond list either Corinth in a tone of not, you know. Not quite but again l. Horford was number five. So. I don't know how Horford on. But no, the Tim games wins free for Golden State. What about porzingas? What about the unicorn most drop it? So she gets me screech. The forms four. They might be playing. He has a big man. Oh, stop. It. No big bigger that goes ESPN. Give me flex system. He's not a big major power for. Right. Yeah, I remember I wanna argument because because you know every time they say the greatest big Minova play the game. They never mentioned any power for you. Got that right. Find it defined what makes you a big man in Dunkin knockers world over five and two, Doug and his most career plate power for? Yes. And like I said, every time they say the greatest big man who ever played the game you. You never see a powerful. There's always big terrain will Mike him king you and you never. You never see. Carnet Dunkin Barkley Malone so they got their own little categories, powerful staying lane..

"Right and in sort of you know the other team isn't even really worried at your winning kinda like the last two months of last season for the lakers so there was some some empty digits there but julius has basically been playing this way all year long like don't get me wrong he's gotten a little bit better each month for free throw percentage stuff like that but he was playing really well coming up the bench for twenty to twenty five minutes for the first two months of the season and now that's just extended as you starting i think i think julius has been real this year for sure this year on the laker lockdown presented by sport clips we were talking about this earlier and i thought it was a strategy that may be more teams could would employ against the lakers layton games which is the hack alonzo do you feel like that could be a thing moving forward here at the end of the season now that teams realize this lakers team is for real we look teams might do it you know here and there but as you've seen with the rule change to some extent we're not seeing much hacker in another part of that is because the andre andre drummond both gotten better from the free throw line this year and there are just as many abysmal guys but i'm not as worried about lonzo it's it's like the same thing when everyone was talking about when he wasn't hitting threes or wasn't shots early in the season you figure that would come around because he's just not he's not bad i it's just it's like the one thing that i tweeted this at one point last night his home in road splits and you know saddam you if you want you can you can pull it up while i'm talking it it's a no you're great at that like their way different from shooting perspective like i think there's a difference in you know eight to ten percentage points in lonzo's field goal percentage three point percentage at home and at staples and i just think there's a little lodge still feel sort of that expectation in the fresher at least some extent samples i don't know how else.
