Isn't that your use it as an Italian dispersion. You Italian? You gotta listen. An insult to your people. It's an insult people. It's like the n word for us. What? What? You're gonna have a big problem little different on taking in something like that Had an exultant told me like I call you Punk bitch. You like that? You're gonna have a problem. What do you think about it off? Throw you down the stairs, OK? Mm. Handled it And And this guy. There's a little bit of the difference there between what happened with Tucker Carlson And this guy that got in his face was calling him a killer and things like that. And this, dude, these kids that were calling Chris Cuomo. Fredo. He lost his composure. They got to him. He bit really hard. But the funniest part about that is we, you know, Sigifredo is akin to calling us the n word. Yeah, yeah, and me like the kid was trying to be funny. You know he was he was getting he was being flippant and getting a chuckle out of it. But hell, even even even our our elected president, you know, Detroit auto worker confronts him on gun control. And the next thing you know, he's challenging him to go outside. It's like you look fat. Let's do some push ups. Yeah, it was a guy that potentially could have voted for him. He just was calling him out on gun control. Roll, right? And why do you wanna take my rifle away? Next thing you know, he's challenged him to a push up but that, but that's what I'm saying. You should be able to confront. Yes. Electoral elected officials cordially and in place on public policy, But these guys don't have any. These guys don't have any. Dante Nero: Making Her Feel Safe
"Subjects to everything that you do, like what you're thinking, it eludes, through your pores, do your posture, do your tone of your voice, to the cage, up your voice, your facial expression, your eyes, your gestures, it exudes. And so there's if there's a lack of confidence that is doomed in the subject whether or not you think you're hiding and it's like a poker tell. So there's always the subject. So for instance, like if you're walking with a young lady and you're on a date and all of a sudden, she's talking and a dog Our comes and you put your hand and you that little gesture. That's like my move, not that I do it cuz I'm the woman but that's my favorite move is if a car's coming and you you kind of, you know, take her by the waist and suck, gently move over to the other side of the sidewalk that's like the move right now. Let me ask you this. Why is that, like, why do you like, is it just a visceral feeling or I guess, what I'm asking is? Do you understand the subject, the subject to a woman is this guy makes me feel safe? Makes me feel taken care of. And so you get some touch in there at the same time as some emotional anchoring and boom. Now, here's what's interesting. Even more than I'm gonna go even deeper than enough to one handedly. Do it is said, is that? I'm so comfortable, that I have control over this situation that I don't even have to put two hands. I love that. The other thing is I care about To even though you're running your yapping your mouth I care about if you're okay. So I'm not going to see something happen to leave you swing. So all of these really deep subjects attracting you as a woman on a visceral level, it literally touches all these things to the point where it is almost, can't explain it. Like the articulated, it's difficult, but instant feeling of safety and attraction and sexuality. And the fact that there's a confidence when he can do it with one arm, he's not even making a big thing about it. Just just what I do. My Dodge bullets

Beacon Aims to Beat Zoom with Unique Encrypted Video Conference Technology
"One of the things about About beacon that That is unique. Is that you know that soon got caught red handed that they were not there calls are not encrypted and so what we did is we understand why the calls are not encrypted. We understand that they're using all technologies zoom as an accompanying. It's not new. A lot of people think okay. Why hurt his last year so they must be now. They've been around for a long time. Their technologies is actually anchored in a three versions before of what the current technology is. We're on the latest. So with that. What happens is that you cannot really do encrypted calls if you have a server in between so the moment the only way to do an encrypted cau- is what's called true end to end meaning there's no server in between and you're i'm connected to your computer your connected to my. We tried that for a long time to scale that up. It can't be scaled but we were lucky that we have been working with. Google and google developed something this call searchable streams and suitable streams as technology. That you can put a what to call me a middle server amid server between the call and it stays encrypted on the server and that's what we're using the first ones to use them if you're a journalist for example in you know one day you know you may be doing an interview with someone that their location has to be private. Fresh update on "anchor" discussed on The Von Haessler Doctrine
"I could get defensive and tell you that I never stopped thinking about the show my entire life. You know, uh, sometimes the schism the schism really is the way you don't end up. You know, you have a mental break if you if you fight against the things that are necessary when I'm in my best world when I'm going through my best having the best shows doing living my best life is when I just simply totally accept that my life is the show. What, but I try not to get away from the show and just recognize every thought that I have everything. Every observation that I have everything in my life has to fold back into the show. Now. That's not to be the defensive about that. But I will say in a humorous vein. I have noticed this since I first got to Atlanta. The old show The funky bunch. When we first got to Atlanta, we came in pretty strong and it did pretty well pretty quickly got a large you could say, working class base. I learned this. When I went to a party at the old quarterback for the Falcons. Chris Chandler went to the party was Jane Fonda was there. And all of these, like, really elite, the beautiful people of Georgia. There were people walking around with dashi keys and, you know, really, really like they looked like there were some that they're going to speak at the United Nations or whatever. And, uh, nobody inside of that house during that whole thing, had any idea who the hell I was, but the people who parked the car the people who were there that valet service Every single one of them knew who we were from the show, and it was immediately apparent to me. Okay. Von Hessler, the audience is the people that you're seeing on the way into the beautiful people in Georgia. So I got that I got that very, very early. It was it was working, class, blue collar kind of audience that we had. And very early on. There was a show at the Tabernacle that we were at, and I was on the side of the stage. And a fan of that show started talking to me before they got super drunk in the early in the night. It was man. You guys are great. It's about time we got a morning show like that in town, man. It's just fantastic. And that is the kind of night went on. The guy got drunker and drunker. It ended with him kind of slurring something at me like you. You know you don't know what real work is. You know you. You let me just say this I I dropped out of the ninth grade. I didn't magically by hot air balloon end up in the industry that I'm in. I come from nothing but blue collar. I come from lower than blue collar. I come from What you would call the the lowest rung of the middle class. The lower lower middle class not impoverished, but by the grace of God could have happened at any point. So let me just say that? Yes, it has been a while since this man put these hands to blue collar work, but these hands if they could speak first of all that would freak you out, but if they could speak They would tell a tale of somebody whose first job was when he was 13 years old Washing dishes done more restaurant, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and did an awful lot because you know what? Here's the fact and it still remains to this day. Why did what is the Von Hessler Doctor come in and just bang it out every single day. One of the reasons is because the host knows if he doesn't do this for a living, it's back to bussing tables. I don't have any mid tier. Kind of make a decent living sort of skill set. It's this or I'm back to bussing tables. And I did an awful lot of that on the way to this, and hopefully it doesn't come off as defensive. But my first memory in life is combing my hair. Four o'clock in the morning getting ready to go visit my dad in prison. Federal prison. Okay, That's where the story starts. So I I understand blue collar work, but, uh, you know what I do for 11 takes quite a bit of your life. You can't really take two weeks off and go to the lake. We still need to bring up that that linked in the suggested jobs. They gave it to you at some point Does. He talked about that last week, and how you like it was like, Yeah, Like you could be a host a cracker barrel or something? Yeah, I'm out. Maya. Always so random. They're like data analysis. Like what? Do you? Yeah, we'll pray for that. Let's not go for everybody like his And everybody possibly assume I have a mayor. Top job picks for you. So perfect. Okay, This is show business. Right? Assistant House crew full time union at the Fox Theater. Okay? I don't know. Union job Union job. That's good, because I'm protected, not protected. I don't I don't really have the ability to speak for myself, so I need others to speak for me. Side People story editor at news E. Okay, How what kind of experience? Do I have that non palm? A news were part of Odyssey. Right. Well, technically, it's a competitor with us. Wait a minute. We're doing commercials for him. Yes. So in order were on honest in order to be on their streaming service. Yes. Well, look out. There's a board operator. Jobs, apparently. Oh, you can't run the board. I don't have no idea. Don't train you, Uh And this is a great one host slash hostess. However, I'm identifying a Dick Highgate Hotels International who Manager. Creative strategy. The way to get a good partner was to be a good partner and these are very effective ideas and they just work so fabulously well and they worked so well at berkshire. I caught up with squawk box. "Also had to clear my throat so let me Rephrase that apple is still the number one listening app for podcasts. The number one place that podcasts are consumed. that doesn't mean it's always going to stay that way and spotify doing some making some really huge strides in trying to at least come with imperative of the amount of shows that are listened to on spotify but without the rss fee. They may technically not be considered us gas. But does that matter to you. Does it matter or does it. Is it more important that people are actually listening to your show taking action on your call to actions. you're able to still get sponsors. You actually get still able to get people to take action or to change their mindsets. Just all depends upon the goals you have for your show so when you to think about this and i just don't want you to go into any of this blindly and it may be something you even want to experiment with actually have a podcast on anchor that i never generated an rss fee for. But i they may have deleted my files over there. But never you worry. Because i've always said and i practice what i preach. Always load your own files. And keep them somewhere stored on your computer or google drive or dropbox or whatever so that just in case something goes wrong you can always resurrect that content and posted somewhere else and that show was called the free podcast hosts as a matter of fact because i just did a little bit of exploration of the different free options that were available at the time and Since then. I think that we've seen that anchor has really been the dominant one and although there are some offerings out there i just don't think they hold a candle to anchor now. One more thing. I want to talk about and i heard about this news over on pod. News pod news dot net which is run by james crystalline that cri de l. a. n. d..

"Feed for your podcast but remember you start a podcast anchor. Which is free as automatically going to be going into spotify as podcast but without an rss feed so some people may say well. It's not relieve in a podcast of doesn't have an rss feed but let me just read to you. What might make magnano said in his announcement as part of our distribution update. We will only generate in rss feed if the creator explicitly once one and will present clear options on how to do so at the time of publish this will ensure that each creator can explicitly choose to publisher podcast with an rss feed therefore enabling any platform to display and monetize that content rather than it happening automatically the creator's consent that you may have heard of some of the exclusive deals that spotify may podcasters one of the most famous ones being joe rogan. Who has probably one of the most popular podcast on the planet and now is exclusively only available on spotify. Which like i said. Some people may consider that is not an podcast but this is also a move to make it possible for everyone to have a spotify exclusive. Podcast what do you think about that a want you to think about. Is that something that you want to do. So if there's no rss feed and it's automatically submitted spotify that means even later on even if you wanted to sit over to apple podcast you will be able to now. Of course is a long way of doing it which you would download all your episodes. Make sure you keep them start up a podcast with another host or even another account on anchor and you know with the same exact content in caviar s fee generated and then submitted over to apple podcasts. I don't know that anybody's going to do that. I don't know that you guys even know the difference and noticed the shift of what's taking place and that's the reason for today's episode. Because i just want you to be aware. And i think this is perfectly fine as long as you know what you're getting yourself into apple is still number one. It's still has the widest distribution around the world of any podcast host of any podcast or listening or shellac. Let me rephrase that.

"Automatically synced anchor is part of the spotify ecosystem. We've been able to integrate immediate distribution directly. So you'll still have direct access to your shows spotify account tools and data major major shift in the course of this anchor ship. Okay so i would love to hear from you. What do you think of this. And i want to tell you that. There is another announcement that was made at all. Before i get to the second announcement. I wanna tell you one of the reasons. Why people pooh-poohed this whole idea of anchor submitting your show to apple podcasts. Because it it took away some of your control so because you couldn't log in you didn't have access to the email and some cases. You may not have even had an apple podcasts account. So you couldn't see your dashboard inside of podcasts. At apple you would not be able to see your analytics now. Anchor does provide some analytics but nowhere near as robust as what you can get from apple. Podcasts now over time. Because i've had my podcast was anchor. Since they first announced this whole you know the shift 'cause original shift was at anchor was just a social audio app. And then they shifted into podcasting and they added the rss fees that podcasters need in order to get into all these platforms but over time they had even made it easier for you to reach out to apple and ask for your own email address to be added so what we used to have to do is send an email to anger and say no i want my own apple podcast account to be connected to my podcast and then anchor woods Give you instructions to go to apple. Podcast apple podcasts. Would send you a code that you needed to contact edgar until anchor to add this little code but just be like a random number of characters in the neighbor. Put us code in your eyes. Espy was a whole bunch of rigmarole and then eventually they made it so. You didn't have to do as much emailing all you had to do was an you can probably do this today. If you're hosted aren't anger that there is a spot in there where you would just request that code without sending emails back and forth and then apple podcasts would acknowledge your email address as being the owner of the podcast and you would have your access to the apple dashboard. So.

"To the anchor show. I'm your host. Eileen smith and in today's episode am going to give you some of the updates that have been made to the anchor platform you know. Anchor was acquired by spotify and as a result. They have made a lot of changes. And right. now you could say that anchor is changing course. Yes they are steering that navigation in a different path. And so i the information that i'm sharing is mostly taken from a blog post written by the anchor. Ceo mike mcnabb now. And if you want to just check out that blog post it's over his medium blog. But i made one of my infamous shirt lakes. And that's i lean that link slash anchor twenty twenty one. And i'm actually recording this over on spotify green rule and i posted a link over the discussion area. If anyone wants to follow along so here is one of the major announcements anchor will no longer distribute your podcast apple podcast. Now let me give you a little bit of background on that or prior to anchor. Being acquired by spotify this was one of the major benefits. Was that anchor. Made it simple for you to get your podcast distributed on all the major platforms and of course apple podcasts. Being the one that most podcasters were intimidated by at the time. And this also met that you didn't need to have an apple. Id or an account on apple because anger actually submitted your show on your behalf using their own anchor randomly generated email which later on came to be a big pain. Point for some podcasters because you didn't have access to that email and everyone's show was on a different anchor. Email address like i said it was randomly. Generated would be something like Anchor eight seven nine four six. And you know you didn't even really need to know what that email address was because she couldn't access it to get any of the communications. That may be coming from apple podcasts. And so this is a big shift that they're no longer relying on that to being a draw to bring people in to starting their podcast with anchor because later on this month.
Got Time Off? Those Days Need Structure
"General. If you've got some amount of time off. I think it helps to do a few things. I said a few anchor events. Yes you want to leave a lot of open time to learn what it feels like when time is unstructured and relaxed. But you also want to know that. You'll do a few things that you couldn't do while working fulltime or if you had your kids during the day schedules in so you can look forward to them. The day hike the overnight retreat in the mountains. The matinee show really enjoy the anticipation. Then you also want to batch the things that you are going to wind up doing during this time because yes now is a good time to do that. Dentist appointment to get your oil changed to finally pick up that form from the county clerk's office however if these things are always options you'll have a hard time relaxing if you know. You should be doing them schedule. All of them for one tuesday before three. Pm and not only. Will you get them done. You won't have to worry about them at other points. you know. there is a time for doing that. Annoying errand and now is not that time with a few anchor events and time for batching. The little things your days off will feel satisfying. You'll feel relaxed without worrying that you are wasting your time. You will actually enjoy the open space without worrying that you should be doing something

The Surprising Upsides of Self-Deception With Shankar Vedantam
"The starting point for my expiration here was a very unusual story involving a con called the church of love and in the course of investigating the khan and how it worked. I came to understand that. Self-deception can sometimes help people. Even though we generally think it can't can you tell us that story. Sure of course so. The church of flowers a very unusual con that unfolded in the united states in the seventies and eighties at its heart was conman named donald lowrie. He was a balding middle aged guy. Living in a small midwestern town he was also a writer and in the early seventies he invented various characters literary character as young women and he called these women angels and then somehow he hit on the idea of writing love letters in their voices. Two thousands of men scattered across the united states. Many of the men receiving letters believe there were corresponding with real women. Some of them fell deeply in love with the people they were hearing from many of them sent in huge amounts of money to support the women that they believe they had fallen in love with and the most remarkable part of the story is that madonna. Larry was finally arrested and brought to trial on charges of mail fraud. Several members of his organization which was called the church of love showed up at the courtroom to defend him. And i found this astonishing. Why is it when the con is being revealed. Why would the mock show up to defend the con. Man and in some ways was starting point for my expiration of the potential value. That self-deception can sometimes play lives. Why did they show up to defend them. Well i think for some people. The church of love had become so central to their lives. Such an important part of who they were. These relationships were so valuable to them. These men believed that. They had found their soulmates They had found an anchor that giving up those anchors and those soulmate seems unbearable. A couple of people at lowery's trial said that the letters from the angels had saved them from alcoholism and drug addiction to people said that they were on the verge of committing suicide and the letters had pulled them back from the brink. And so i in many ways. The story of the church of love is how self-deception can sometimes aid us in moments of great crisis or great peril and those moments. It becomes easy for us to see how self-deception can sometimes play a solitary. Roy lives

The USS William D. Porter Was the Unluckiest Ship in WWII
"The troubles of the uss william d porter began immediately as they were leaving port in norfolk virginia. The first problem was when they left port they raised their anchor improperly and they damaged one of the ships it was dock next to they tore off one of the railings a lifeboat mount from one of the ships. No one was hurt but it was a very inauspicious. Start to their journey. The next day things didn't go much better. They accidentally dropped a depth charge into the water which exploded the reason. Why so many ships in the fleet was to defend themselves against german u boats as no one knew the depth chart was being released. Everyone in the fleet assume that it was a torpedo attack which caused everyone to take evasive maneuvers. The porter had to sheepishly. Notify the rest of the fleet that they had accidentally caused the explosion and that they weren't under attack after the accidental depth-charge. The willie was hit by a rogue wave which washed one of the crew members overboard and he was never seen again. The next day it got even worse. President roosevelt wanted to see anti-aircraft drill to see how the ships would defend themselves against an they also went through a torpedo drill to simulate how they would launch a torpedo. Normally when you drill like this you remove the primer from the torpedo which is what makes it a shoot out of the torpedo tube. however the torpedo man aboard the porter forgot to take the primer out of one of the tubes when they simulated launching a torpedo they actually launched a torpedo and the torpedo is heading towards the uss iowa which had on board the president of the united states. i should add. It wasn't just the president of the united states aboard the iowa. Roosevelt had brought with him. The secretary of state cordell hull chief-of-staff admiral william delay chief of staff of the army. George marshall chief of naval operations ernest king commanding general of the. Us army's henry. Hap arnold secretary of commerce harry hopkins and a bunch of other high ranking officials. If the iowa were to be sunk it would've taken out almost all of the american senior military leadership during the war.

"Hello beautiful people. Welcome to the anchor. Show i'm your host. Eileen smith and on this podcast we talk about podcasting. But especially anything to do with the platform and the free podcasts known as anchor you may not know that anchor was acquired in february twenty nineteen by spotify. They say a sale was one hundred and fifty million dollars. I don't know if that's true or not. But it sounds a pretty penny in my mind. And i absolutely love that because so many of my senior podcasting pow-wows head counted anchor out. If you go back to some of the archives where some of my pike casting mentors were saying things like oh anchor is doomed anchors. Not gonna last but nobody saw it coming when spotify acquired anchor and so i want to give you a little bit of the news with spin going on with anchor and they are eating as a wholly owned subsidiary. Actually to spotify now. Spotify is based in australia and very popular music streaming application for years and years and so when they added their focus on podcasting and they acquired anchor as well as some talent from places like gimblett media and a few other podcasts production houses when they did that they actually sealed their fate as being the competitor to apple. Podcast now depend upon who you're listening to. You will hear different figures of how much of the podcast listening around. The world is being done on spotify but either way spotify we know holds a solid number two position to apple podcasts and maybe even some countries they hold a very very close number two position right now i think in the united states they have a small much smaller segment of the market but it is growing constantly and it could be a few years but there is a possibility that spotify will really be neck and neck with apple podcasts unless apple podcast gets up offer their core and makes some changes and i hear that some of the changes are coming and i can't help but think that spotify entering the podcasting space and the podcast ecosystem has been Impetus for some of the changes. That apple podcasts is about to make for example an upcoming update to our i o s apps that we have on our phone and the apple podcast app when you know when the abc is updated it will automatically update the apple podcasts as well and one of the big changes that folks are a metal I think they're a little taken back by the fact that instead of saying. Subscribe to my podcast. Now you will need to say. Follow my podcast on apple podcast. So what does this mean well for the everyday pipe caster or what they call the independent podcast. Like you and i. The first thing that we need to do is stop telling people to subscribe because most of the podcasting apps or shall i say spotify as well as now apple podcasts. In the next few weeks will refer to. Your podcast is being followed. Not subscribe and there's a reason behind that all has to do with money. Yes money is the root of all things podcasting. Isn't it either. We're paying money. We wanna get money. Or they're spending money but the goal is to make a separation in people's minds between subscriptions which are usually something that people pay for. Now that's outside of youtube. Because i don't know why everybody's ignoring the fact. That subscribe is a huge thing on youtube. And that's never going to change. I don't think but you should never say never but anyway in most people's minds when they hear the word subscribe to my podcast they think. Oh i gotta pay because it's a subscription but if i say follow you know. Facebook has strained that. Oh follow yeah. That's free right. Nobody pays the follow somebody. So when they say that one apple podcasts says that now they're going to let you follow your favorite podcasts. That means that's because they're gonna have some paid subscriptions coming to the app and donald think anybody's actually confirmed that but you know how everything gets leaked when it comes to apple so i think pretty much a done deal. We shall see. And i'll have more updates for you on that topic in the next episode. So please follow the anchor show on all of the podcasting apps and wherever you follow your favorite podcasts. So for now. I'm signing off it. Your girl miss. Eileen sang happy podcasting and stay beautiful..
"anchor" Discussed on Anchor of Hope Recovery Podcast with Justin Franich
"Hey, what's up everybody? It's just Francis Anchor. A hope recovery podcast. Hope you're having a phenomenal day. I just wanted to take a few moments today and talk to you about. My show title anchor of Hope, and I chose loves words on as a Christian who has struggled drug and alcohol addiction in the past had five years message in my early days and was able to find hope and freedom through that from a relationship. With Jesus Christ I find that hope is the most powerful catalyst to help somebody not only get clean but stay clean. Let me explain when you're in the middle of drug and alcohol addiction a lot of one. One of the struggles are not being able to see a way out of it. You end up stuck, you end up in the south defeating repeating cycle over and over and over again that really just keeps you stuck in the middle of addiction. It wasn't until I found a relationship with Jesus and I began to be able to start having dreams and hopes for my life that my recovery on muscle really kicked overdrive as I began to look a look to the future and say you know, hey, I can really begin to make something of my life. I don't have to remain stuck and this pattern of addiction that there is a future for me. Bible says Jeremiah Twenty nine eleven. Now I know the plans a half declares the Lord plans to prosper you not to harm. You plans to give you hope and a future scripture also says that hope is the anchor for our soul and so when our soul is anchored in the hope of Jesus and the hope that we have a good future ahead in the hope that God doesn't just want us to survive but he wants us to move to a place of thriving in growing we can really begin. To Zero, our future and experience what real freedom looks like such encourage you today on if you're struggling, you've been kind of on the fence with your recovery you've been back and forth. But do you anchor to what are the things that you have anchored your life to and what are your dreams for your future begin to focus on those purpose and having a clear and defined purpose for your life and a direction that you're going after is one of the most important things to be able to stay sober. I've seen so many people on they just Kinda they set this idea that I just WanNa get off drugs and that just seems to be the end of it while it's noble goal I don't think wanting to quit is enough to be able to propel you into a place of Freedom I. Think you've gotta be able to look beyond just quitting drugs and have a reason drive for moving forward with your freedom and so that's why I picked the name Ankara. Hope because I believe that hope is one of. The most powerful on driving forces to help us stay free actually have have a t shirt that I wear all the time that it says hope is greater than addiction and the reason I'm so passionate about that statement is because I've seen it work in my own life and I've seen at work on the lives of other people that when they can begin to hope in some good things, they can begin to hope the future when they could anchor live to the hope of Jesus Christ that is transforming them. They begin to stay free. Once and for all. So that's it God bless you guys have a wonderful day..

"Content for via podcasts to the folks over at who are subscribed to you and it would be through pod bean patrons the next one is very similar to buy me a coffee and Kofi and that is Colo Golo dot f. m. so all of them have a similar structure where people can pay you A one time fee or also give you monthly support so with that said I do want to stress to you guys about Patriot and Moore talking about an alternative to anchor. Listener support. Patriotic has by far the most set of robust tools. And they a team that is really dedicated for the long haul to creator success so patriot is the real alternative but these other ones are just like lightweight versions of Patriot so they may be ones that you just want to get in there really quickly or you don't want someone to have to read a lot or be really dedicated to giving you money. You just want them to ban gives you a quick hit or little tip okay. So patriae really goes at the top of this list. Even though now at the beginning of this episode I told you about this link where I have collected all these resources not just the ones I mentioned but a couple more that I wanNA share with you as well but I'm going to repeat that link and tell you a little bit more about it so I lean dye link slash. Get your support and that's going to take you over to my kit and now before I tell you what kid is just want to mention that. Now we're going to move into the section for those of you who are affiliate marketers. If you're not an affiliate marketer just keep in mind that this is something that you may want to get into in the future. Okay where you're not actually asking for Donations or for tips or for supporters for content that you've created but it's for people buying products or services from someone else but you get a benefit because you referred people you sent people their way for example and. I know you're all familiar with the Amazon and the Amazon Associates Program. It's probably something that anyone who has a website or a strong social media following needs to sign up for Amazon. So I have what's called an influencers page over an Amazon. This is a way that people can support. Now you've got to be careful because Amazon. If YOU'RE AN AMAZON AFFILIATE. They are very strict. You can't actually tell people support your show by going over to your Amazon page. You can't say that. But at the same time you have those links that are sprinkled throughout your content. They could even be in your show notes but you also supposed put a disclaimer there to let people know that you would get a small commission. Okay so Amazon. Is the number one place. I think that all affiliate marketers should Apply for or utilize because of the fact that they sell everything especially now that they own whole foods as well so kit here we go getting Meta again. Kid is sort of an alternative to Amazon. Because kit is really a website where you can set up a collection of your favorite things for example. I have the get your support. I also have a live streamers tool kit I also have a podcasters tool kit and these things are in collections over on my kit and it's kit dot co slash. Eileen and then you'll see all my different collections there but the difference between kit and Amazon is of course you can tell people go over to your kit and you know there's restrictions on doing that and you can linked to your Amazon products but you can take it a step further and also linked to any other affiliate products that you have over there so for example In my life streamers kit right you guys probably have heard me talking about cam live. That's my favorite live streaming application for Mac users now. I can't put that on Amazon store right but I can put it on my kit. So I've got the microphones as the webcams and all that stuff in the same kit for life. Streamers along with the algata stream Dak and e Cam live so wanted to tell you about kit because what I did was. I put a collection of all these support tools and I put them into a Kit. So you just have one page to go to two final links to sign up for all of these as well as to support yet. Okay K. Beautiful People. That's IT for today before. I go though. Do WanNa tell you for those of you. Who are curious. I am recording using the backpacks studio APP. Y'All know that's been my favorite little APP for recording these days but this time. I'm using a different microphone just to switch things up just because I can right so the microphone that I'm using is the eight t twenty twenty and that's a USB. Mike plugs right in just like anything else that I would plug into my phone. I don't need that camera kit download that I need when I use the Samsung Q to You. So anyway. All this gear over on my kit. Okay so this Mike is actually a condenser mic. So I did notice a little bit of Echo and you may you know give me some feedback call in and let me know what you think. I think it's still sounds good but I just wanted to let you know because this Mike is also one..

"While if you haven't heard about anger is the easiest way to make a podcast. So just let me explain I. It's free there's creation tools that allow you to record at your podcast right from your phone or even on your desktop computer anchor will distribute your pie cash for you so it can be heard on spotify and Bogle podcast and apple podcast and all the rest you can make money from your podcast with no minimum listenership is everything you need to make podcast and one place. You can even use their record with France feature to interview guests for your show. All you have to do is download the free anchor APP or go to anchor dot. Fm to get started and be podcasting Amazon. Lean this is Harris. Jenner's coffee chat podcast. Just want to say thank you very much for all that you do as far as Talking about podcast. In a given tips and tricks in great advice has subscribed to both of your podcast Anchor and listened to him on other platforms as well such spotify apple podcasts and Puckett Cass. So thank you for all that you do. Now the next two that I wanNA talk about really cater to podcasters and one is from our friends over at the podcasting host pod. Bean pod being actually has a section for Pied bean patrons so as sort of like a watered down version of Patriae on and you can set the amount that people can give you for monthly support. You can deliver a exclusive.

"Link slash. Get your support. That's all one word. Get your support so I always use that brand link which is Eileen dot link so I try to make it so that it's easy especially for somebody who listens to the show regularly. You know my name is spelled i. l. e. any and that's where I put together a collection of tools that I've run across and I will keep that updated as they come out because right now guys. Everybody has their eyes set on podcasting. So there's a lot of tools that are coming out and they're very useful for us in terms of getting our content produced promoting our content. And this thing that we're going to talk about today which is listener support but the first tool that I want to talk about is one. That's pretty old school. It's been around for a while as long as I can remember actually and is actually pay pal. Pay Pal has a service call. Pay Pal me. Pay Pal me where you can go over and set up your own account. Of course you have to give them your banking details so that you can actually get paid or you can just keep it on account at pay POW now and as things come up where you can Pay For them through pay pal. You'll have that money there but just go over get yourself a pay POW dot Mi link and then you can add anything to the end of that link when you share it out. So for example of course minds is Eileen right. So it's pay pal dot me slash Eileen Slash twenty-five or I can make it slash ten or I can make slash two hundred and fifty whatever I want or whatever. I think my audience wants to give to me. I could customize that Orca just give them the pay POW dot may slash Eileen and then. They can add whatever amount they want to add. So that's the old school guys. A lot of you may be familiar with how long that service has been around for those of you. That are hearing this for the first time. I think that we should all have a pay pal. Dot May and one of the reasons why I really got into it was because I needed to send my niece money for her birthday and this was a few years ago and so I was like. Wow movie handy to set up more for myself. So it's not just for getting support from your listeners. Also could be getting money from a friend it could even be you know somebody that you actually loaned money to. Although I don't recommend that but they went to pay you back and it's like it here use my pay pal me so remember that one okay. The next one I talked about in a previous episode. But I just want to talk a little bit more about. Buy me a coffee while. There's actually two sites that I wanNA mention now since already told you a little bit about. Buy me a coffee. There's another site so it's kind of an alternative to the alternatives. I know very Meta right but this one is called Kofi. It's spelled k. o Dash F. I very similar to buy me a coffee. But then buy me. A coffee. Has a little comparisons cheat sheet? So you'll know the difference between what you can get with. Buy Me a coffee and Kofi now one of the things that I like about. Buy me a coffee. As if they're constantly iterating and making their site better so instead of a person just coming over and buying you a coffee for set amount. Let's say it's a dollar three dollars five dollars or whatever. They also have the option for recurring monthly payments. You can set that up there too. And then they also tried to do a little bit of a take on what Patriots does and with that you can have sort of like a membership area where you have private chat and you can give people of what they call offers so they have that but also Kofi has some of these same features. But you have to upgrade to their pay plan so buy me. A coffee is really free for us. As creators TREE ALTAR SET UP. And there's only a five percent transaction fee versus. Kofi which is gonNa cost you six dollars a month to get access to the more advanced features like monthly support support. Our only post and also Kofi doesn't have a mobile APP then there's also analytics and they Have on by me a coffee. They have live chat support. But Co fee I WANNA put it out. There is also another alternative. They do have a very nice looking landing page so you may want to check it out or you may want to do like me and have one of each but I actually would prefer buy me a coffee. That's just where I stand right now. Based on the side by side. Comparison of the two a lean Nicole Jamaica unpack pastor for almost three weeks now with my naked jam. Podcasts I came across your podcast and your Youtube Channel and I'm absolutely impressed. You have filled the market to inform people everything about podcasting. I appreciate love your contents. Love Your Hope Helpful.

"Hey everybody it's your girl. Miss Eileen coming to you from the beautiful studio here in Up Town Philadelphia Aka my bedroom and I wanna give you some updates. There's been some changes here on the platform. So stay right there. That's what's coming end. Today's episode but I for those of you who don't know let's roll the intro. I remember the days back in two thousand nine so clear as like it was yesterday. I I started podcasting and creating youtube tutorial. I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't understand the technology. I didn't know what gear I needed to use the worst of all I had no idea how to promote my content. Well if that sounds like you let me introduce myself. My name is Smith and my goal is to help bridge that information gap standing between you and creating your best content ever so now you can sit back and relax. Let's get started There is a new way to create video transcripts of Har- podcast. I call them audio grams. But what anchor has done in order to keep with their branding you know. They did a total revamp of their branding when they hired some new graphic artists and they've even won awards for the material design style that they're using with their branding. I actually love angers branding and one of the things that I was really glad to see was that they updated the ways audio grams. Look now. There's so much more stylish. There's so much more aligned. With anchors brand a really want you to check them out. I just came from doing a livestream over on Youtube where actually gave a demo of how to create these video transcripts as well as a little bit of insight as to why you WanNa use an audio Graham and how to be more effective with using them now. I'm going to play a little snippet from that video but I want to go over. Check it out especially if you have questions about. How does it work? How do you create this Audio Graham? I have a special link for you to go to to watch the video. It's Eileen dot link slash. Oh nine zero nine one nine. That's Today's date by the way so go to nine. Oh nine one nine and you're going to be able to see that video now if anchor ever makes any more updates to these audio grams. I'll be sure to let you know but after you listen to that low clip I'll join you on the other side because there's a couple more updates. I WANNA share with you now. Let's talk about how to create them from desktop. You can do this from the phone but I'm not going to show that today all right so what you need to do is look for an segment of your show. That is under one minute under one minute. Okay anchor won't transcribe it for you. If it's over. So here you see I. This little video icon when you see that you know that. This is available for transcription. This segment here is less than one minute so I have a little video. Notice how? This segment is two minutes. I don't have that little video icon right now. This was a call in from someone else. You're not going to see the video icon. See that came from Raymond Girardi. He's actually got the handle of Ray on twitter. So you know he's been one of the longtime twitter folks all right. Sandra Center Reno called in. I can't create a video from her content. I can add it to my podcast but I can't create a video from it all right so all these ones that you see that are now fifty eight seconds. But it's from Rafael right so I can't so the only one that has the little video icon. Is this one so I click it on and this case I had already created a video from this one. And a we've got the transcript already created for this one and What I would do is go in here. And Edit it okay if there was like for example this one says your girl Miss I lean will actually Mitt Ms M. S. So then you save it and in this case it says done. Oh No it's not done yet. So it takes a minute to generate. So we're not going to wait for that but I want you to notice that has the three different formats the square which is good for just about everything you can put that on instagram. You can put it on facebook the wide which I like to use this wide one on twitter but you can also use that on a instagram now and facebook and then the vertical now the vertical one would be good for your stories for Your Eyes G TV. And all of that okay. So you see there that you have those three different formats. I just say. Download all three of them once this finishes generating my video. Why not why not download all three of them? They're not gonNA take much based on your computer what you need to do though when it's actually time to download it you'll see it gives it a goofy name changes to a name that's GonNa make you remember what it's about because if you're like me you got hundreds and hundreds of files okay. Let's face it thousands of files on your computer. You gotTa have a name or put it in a folder. So you know that's from the anchor because you probably already have anchor. Podcast or podcasting folder. Somewhere right on your computer. Stick with me kid. I'll keep you organized. Do you don't want to have that messy desktop that I used to have I just love how anchor has continued to develop on this platform and to make it better make it a better listening experience as well as to make a better experience for us who are podcasters. Creating the content. They've made some changes to the record with friends feature to make it much more stable and be honest. I have not been hearing a lot of complaints about it. If you're still having problems using the court with friends feature to do your interviews remember you can always fall back on stream yard. And I've got to tour oriels on how to do that but I just hope that they continue to develop on this platform to keep us all podcasting here on anchor with that said this. Is Your Girl Miss? Eileen saying happy podcasting and I'll tell you in the next episode base..

"You like to listen podcast. Listen to podcasts. You'll be able to find it. 'cause I don't really like sharing the anchor links that much because anchors playback is not all that stable and they have admitted that that you know. That's not what they're focusing on. They're not focusing on that playback so sometimes a playback as wonky even on the website so I like to use our friend. Friend of all PODCAST. Hearses name is James Cridland. He has a site called Pod News and on the POT news. You can search for your podcast Sam throwing in a little tip here for everybody for every Pike caster not just anchor podcasters you over to pot news and search for your show and you'll see that you have a profile page over there and your profile page will have all the available platforms at your podcasts can be played on that way you share that out with people and then that way you will always your listener always just pick their podcasts. This thing at in fact I'm going to share with you. Mine and for the anchor show. Of course I have one for my other podcast but we're not talking about that today. We're celebrating one hundred episodes on the anchor show so my show the link for my show. The anchor show is Eileen dot link slash pod News Pat News. Because that's who runs the site. Okay so I so so much love you guys for being here and I want to inspire you. Those of you. Who Haven't even started your podcast yet. You know you have a message get started with podcasting. I think anchors the perfect place for you to get started you can put some of your content out there see how well it's received by the oil. It's figure out your format figure out if you want to do an interview podcasts. You may find out that during the interview. Podcast is not as easy as sounds like everybody's got interview podcast. Yeah but she got a lineup interviews. You GOTTA TO SCHEDULE PEOPLE. You GotTa make sure when they come on their sound is good and all that stuff but start with something like anchor or maybe. You're not sure about your topic you're like appointed to this. Podcast I have this message but I'm not sure that anybody else wants to listen to it. You know and also as time goes by if you say you do get a sponsor on anchor. You upgrade your microphone right. You find some other software because the way the anchor platform works. Now you can upload content from anywhere so maybe you get a professional. Recording software like adobe audition. I'm using the backpack studio APP. But as you know as you can hear now I'm also livestream me thanks to the power vested in me by the Twins Glenn and Ken from e Cam live and I will get a recording of this on my computer. I don't have to worry about downloading the one from facebook and that will have the higher quality audio is not a pristine conditions because this room is a little echoey. But that's okay. I'm on my. At are two thousand. One hundred. Mike and I will put this up as the podcast episode. So be sure. To subscribe to the podcast. Connect with me here on facebook. I have all the links and the show notes over there and you can find it at Eileen length slash pied news to find your favorite listening APP so before I leave. I'm going to put up some of the comments that I neglected to pay attention to while I was doing my low soliloquy there and Tisch saying you're welcome why you why and I love my partners. I actually met James Cridland in person. I don't know if I told you that. Tisch I met him at podcasts movement last year and he definitely keeps folks up with the news so subscribe to the Pot News. If you're really into podcasting you're really into just knowing what's going on in the space because remember we're all connected in the deep and Lauren and is just commenting with all these beautiful brilliant stars. Love you to pieces Lauren Okay how can some of them watch me live? Won't FACEBOOK SLASH YOUTUBE? When I'm live on anchor apart from me sharing the link you need more than one device. You need more than one device you. Why so you need an extra ipad or I don't know if you're an eye person or not but let's just say a tablet tablet on you'd be live on Youtube or facebook and then you'd be recording your podcast on on another device your computer or on or you just do it like because people can't really listen live on anchor so it doesn't matter you do exactly how. I'm doing it now. You go live and then you download the file afterwards. That's all you have to do because like I said you can't be live on anchor. Excuse me all right so good question. Thank you so much for that. And they are so innovative. Yes anchor is. They're always thinking of other ways to keep us coming back like now with the Smart Background Music O. M. G. We always had in the APP but I love it now that it's on the desktop because they've got a library of about one hundred or more than one hundred background tracks so much easier to go through them on the desktop where you can say. Just go with my voice. Does this actually help set the mood of this episode? And all that so yes. They're very innovative. And that's what I love about them and yes thank you. It was nice for me. Seeing new faces here was. I'm so glad you guys all came out and you guys are saying. Thanks and thanks. And this was super Tuesday with Eileen Tisch. My Hashtag allergists. Y'All okay she is my official. Hashtag allergist Hash Act Super Tuesday with Eileen. Yes I love it to Sh- thank you so much and thank you and thank you dear listeners. "Happy podcasting we have a message that we want to get across and we want tools. That can not only help us get that message across effectively. We also want to make money. There's nothing wrong with that. I think that we all need to make money because we all got to eat okay so today. I'm going to share what I call pods stories. Hashtag pod stories and these are questions that have come in. I have a video over on youtube about sponsors when anchor getting sponsors on anchor but see. This is how we're all connected in the deep because it's not so much about the sponsorship won't anger is that we're all looking for ways to monetize our content. It's the universal message of content creators. You may start off as a hobby but after awhile you start buying gear you start subscribing to different softwares and you realize that. Hey this is costing me a lot of money so the next thing you know you figure out. I need to do something to make ends meet and it could be affiliate marketing. It could be youtube making money from ad sense or podcasting making money from your podcast and even though these stories that I'm going to bring you today. These pods stories. These podcasting stories are from anchor or related to anchor. The message is still the same because we're connected in the deep all right. So let's get to the first one. These were questions that were left over on my video. As I mentioned I have a youtube video about sponsors. Want Anchor and I do have to say good morning. Good Morning. Good morning to my lovely friend Tisch. Rozal she was actually featured on the podcast yesterday. So if you get a chance to make sure you listen to that and you get to hear tissues voice. Okay so Lauren. You're always so beautiful and so supportive. Thank you so much for joining me this morning as well. So Lauren. Joyce is here to okay. So here's one of the questions that came in now. I WanNa make sure that you pay attention to the common threads through this and think about hot resonates with you and it may not be anger but it may be a question that you've had about some other tool that you're using to monetize your content or to monetize like I know Lawrence here. She a jewelry shop and to saying thank you. And that's because she was on the podcast yesterday the anchor show podcast. Okay so here we go. This came in this. Actually this question came. And and you know what Tash and Lauren. You guys need to be connected. Because you're you guys target the same audience. Okay and Tisch is has worked with some cosmetics and Lauren is working with jewelry. So hey this is my thing I love to have community and I love for you guys to be connected with one another not just connected with me right okay. So this question came in today and this one And Tisch is asking you Lauren. To give you the jewelry shop website so and I know Lauren does facebook story so she talks about it too so go ahead and post that link there lauren. Thank you so much of course. Let's go if you'll have me yes. Yes S. OKAY. So here we go. This youtubers name is a very kind and the question came in. How many views or. How long will it take to get a sponsorship on anchor and you know? I want to stress before I even go into the answer to this. I want to stress that you guys have to have patience. You know people start up a podcast or an like I said could be youtube over and the very first day or the first week after get their footing. They're like okay. How do I start making money? It's like God damn grasshopper calm down but these things take time rate so like I said this is a common thread right so my response is to the question. How long does it take to get sponsorship anchor? Because an I'll tell you what I said to him but I'm or her. I'm going to tell you guys. There's no answer to this question. There's no real answer anchor dozen say you start a podcast on Tuesday and by Friday? We get your sponsor nobody. They don't do that okay. So here we go. My response was. I got one right away because I was already active on the platform member. I'm on episode one hundred now so you know when anchor introduced sponsorship back in November. Yeah they were like ready to offer mere sponsor to from the very first day. I got one right away because I was already very active on the platform. Anchor will reach out to you by email when they have a sponsor for you because what they do is and now this is me at living what they do is they match the sponsors that they have based on your content art world. Yeah I'm going to say let's hope he came. He came back and said May I ask. How many listens you average per podcast? Now I know this is probably not the answer that anybody expected me to give you know. They may think well. She's got sponsor she's probably got hundreds of listens over there on anchor but no right at this moment right now. I'm averaging about thirty about thirty listens according to my anchor stats but the number is not as important as the topic and so I asked. What is the topic of your show but like I said this just happened so he did not come back and respond to me all right so think about that. You know we don't know the current pool of all the existing anchor sponsors and no matter where you're hosting your podcast. You don't know all the offers that are on the table at that moment for folks that are looking to sponsor okay so there are some things that you've just going to be a little in the dark about as you just have to hope that the stars align and Just a little follow up on the live studio audience. Lauren has posted the link to her jewelry website. And it's Birdie Lynn B. I R. D. Y. L. Why in Berlin Birdie Lynn Dot com gesture can as a commercial and tissue? That's great okay. So the next question came in from ultimate media entertainment and For the live studio audience. Thanks for those who are coming here. This is a live podcast recording also a celebration of my one hundredth episode one anchor. Okay so thanks for joining and you guys can say congrats anytime. You want ultimate media entertainment. I currently have a podcast on anchor. However did you use your regular debit card to receive payment from anchor or should. I use new debit card. Only for podcasting very good question. So now we're getting into the real nitty gritty of Yeah we got. We got something going on. Here were anchored now. Which should I should. I set it up. So this is really specific to anchor because anchor has a connection with stripe so my response was I. Connect my savings account to stripe but I could have connected my checking account. It's your debit. Is Your Debit Card connected to a checking? You don't have to set up a special account if you already have one and I'm going to share this with my m. a. g. FS to connect to Okay M. K. is for Mary. Kay and Lawrence said congratulations on your one hundred episode. Thank you Laurin. I got the good people here today. Okay let's move onto the next pied story. Can you please point me in a good direction of how to get sponsored? My podcasts is savage season the podcast will love your input and this came from red high tone red high tone. But that's a youtube name. The podcast on anchor is savage. Seizing now they want me to point them. In a good direction on how to get sponsored now this is no disrespect to read high tone but remembered. These comments are being left on a youtube video. And if you watch the video instead of just coming over there and try to get a shortcut then you'll see the whole process okay but this person just wants to you know they want a shortcut here a you know I have. This happens to me at work and tell me if it just doesn't happen to you as well if you have a website and you have a frequently answered questions or you have general information like your hours of operation or whatever and you know. I always recommend having a frequently asked questions page people. Don't even WanNa read. The frequently asked questions they will find you on social media and ask you one of the frequently asked questions like all the time. Do you open the operations on website. I had one yesterday where One of my colleagues sent this person a link to the website page. That answers all the questions that they came back and say well. How do I do it? You go to the link on the website you know the one I just gave anyway. I digress. It's my. It's my podcast. I digress I won't but I just want to keep showing you bringing you back to the common threads. Let's just get reminded of this quote today that I absolutely love. We are like islands in the sea separate on the surface but connected in the deep connected in the deep. I'm getting all kinds of great things over here. Lauren as saying I promise you L. O. L. And tissue saying preach preach it and okay I go back to also the congrats on the one hundred episode like the process. I like long. Yes tisch likes the long videos in long. Live streams and Yeah okay so now back to this question from high. Can you point me in a good direction and my response? If you aren't anchor they will match you with the sponsor. What is the topic of your show? So red high tone. I guess they got distracted because they didn't even come back and answer the question about the topic because you heard me say earlier to very hind not about how many listens you have. It's about your topic. Your topic has to match with a sponsor. Have you ever thought about starting your own? Podcast what I was trying to get this podcast off the ground. I had so many questions..
