You have to look and see what the schedule is, and it's supposed to get Reopened in a sense that this Thursday that's when the Senate can begin consideration. And then there's a whole bunch of Senate procedure stuff that comes into play and they can try. If they try to filibuster. There could be a motion to close YUR and You know ended and then they have another day and I got to reconsider and second base ago from Thursday, assuming the Democrats try toe try whatever procedural blocks they can, and I think that's likely just so they can show how Upset. They are can't really stop the process, but it can delay it and they can give more speeches and Cory Booker can look like he's going to cry at any moment. What is he always seems like he's about to cry. So that's what's likely to happen. Thursday opens up Friday. There's some process stuff they can reopen on Saturday, and I think Sunday is when it might actually be official in the books. This this coming Sunday, so right Right before Election Day. We may be in a place where you have a new Supreme Court justice Sunday. The 25th That's all assuming that things go as planned now so far. They haven't been able to come up with anything on Amy Cockney Barry to stop it. That's obvious. A CBS nomination has been moving along. And I have been surprised. That the Democrats honestly haven't made more noise about this. One idea that I have about this one theory is that they're so set on packing the court that they don't really That it doesn't really bother them as much Now they've just said OK, fine. You get a C B through we're going to add Two or three more liberal, far left Supreme Court justices. So who even really cares in the meantime? So I think that that may be a part of it. There was this Comments. That Pelosi made over the weekend about what she may be able to do about this nomination. Play 10. Last time we spoke, he said. Democrats had arrows in their quiver to block this nomination. But she seems like she's on a path to confirmation right now. Is this a done deal? Where is there? Still something Democrats conduce? Stop it? Well, it will see that I'm not in the Senate. I don't I don't. What I'm talking about is how we win this election because we have offset whatever a court. Cockney Barrett was just three years out of law school only 28 years old when our law firm sent her down to Florida to help fight for Republicans, in fact, to get absentee ballots in the column of George W. Bush back in 2000, by all accounts He played a pretty small role. It's hard to see how that will be a real conflict this year because the issues would be so different. Certainly the parties would be very different. But Judge Barrett did say that she would take even the appearance of a potential conflict into account when deciding whether or not she needs to Rick use at this stage for confirmation, is on track for a full vote in the United States Senate by the end of the month. Matter of fact, this is what the president said about his test. I've been tested totally negative. I'm going to be out in Florida tomorrow, working very hard. Because this is an election. We have to win. This is the most important election of our lives. And I agree with him at that with that statement. Is that the most important election of our lives? He's working hard to do this, and he says he's tested negative. The White House physician says he's tested negative. So he is going to be having an event in Florida. I believe tomorrow. We're going to be getting here in Arizona. A visit from Donald Trump Jr Donald Trump Jr will be in Arizona Wednesday. He will come on the show. Tomorrow. He'll be on the mic broom head show at 9 15 tomorrow morning. So again another reason to download the app. If you're not listening at that time, you'll get notified so you can Should be an interesting conversation. If they're paying very close attention to the state of Arizona. How much will the president getting Covad 19 and how he handled getting covert 19? Not just him. But how many people within the White House got it from that. What seems to be that event at the Rose Garden for the announcement was made of the nomination of Judge Barrett. How much of that? We'll hurt him, or will it hurt him in the election, and I'll be honest, I don't know The answer to that. I know what Trump supporters. It hasn't hurt him at all. And with Trump detractors, they couldn't hate him anymore. Will there be a lot of voters in the middle? That feels someone had said earlier. You know, if you can't take care of yourself, How are you going to take care of us that will that sentiment. Be resonate with the people in the middle. And right now, that's what it's all about Anybody that's undecided the people that are going to vote they feel it is their obligation. My biggest fear after the first debate was that people would walk away from the process that people If you're not emotionally connected, will walk away and that's one of the biggest issues and I compare politics to sports all the time. You've got people that are diehards that will no matter what they're invested their invested their invested. You've got very casual fans that will show up for a big game. But what you need are the people. That are generally invested but are prone to leaving, which is when you see controversy or scandal within a sports organization with a player. You generally see them act swiftly because they don't want to run off the fans. They know the diehards aren't going anywhere. But they don't want to run off those casual fans that will move in and out. And that's one of the concerns. I believe from both campaigns right now is disengagement by those voters that are non committal. Are you gonna have voters in the middle? That just so you know what? I'm sitting this one out? I don't like either one of them. I'm not vote for the lesser of two evils. I don't like the way they behaved during the debates. I don't like this about Trump. I certainly don't like this about Biden. So I'm out of the process. They're trying to stay away from that. They have got to try to engage those voters and say it's imperative that you have your voice heard. In which ever candidate is able to do that better is gonna win this election. There's no doubt about that to me. I think that's the way it's going to go. But how bad will any of this matter or is this more? We got to go to Amy Cockney Barry's making her opening statement. Let's go to that. You sure this is not Ranking member Feinstein and members of the committee. I'm honored and humbled to appear before you today as a nominee for associate justice of the Supreme Court. I think the president for entrusting me with this profound responsibility as well as for the graciousness that he and the first lady have shown my family throughout this process. I think Senator Young for introducing me as he did at my hearing to serve on the seventh Circuit. They also thanks, Senator Bron for his support. "White has where I proudly nominated Judge Amy Cockney Barry. President Trump Has he began his great American comeback event outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, tonight after nominating Barrett a bit earlier in the evening is a brilliant legal mind and extraordinary scholar. You know that number 100 class. You know, the professor, one of the most respected people, he said, the greatest student he's ever had. That's pretty good. That's a little better than biting wouldn't use that He should be running for president. A number of Democrats releasing statements on their opposition to Barrett. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer held a news conference, saying Barrett would undo everything that Justice Ginsberg had done on the court. And he said the nomination would mean less healthcare for 100 million Americans. A case involving the Affordable Care Act is set to go before the Supreme Court this year. With strong opposition by Democrats, could they derail the nomination? The short answer is no. The numbers are there in the U. S Senate right now to make this nomination go forward in the timeline that the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham wants it to. And the votes appear to be there to confirm Amy Cockney Barrett for that ninth seat on the U. S Supreme Court, there is very little That the Democrats can do even to slow down this process. So as we all know the president like her confirm, taking her place on the U. S Supreme Court before November 3rd before Election day boxes, John Ducker one person was killed seven others wounded early this morning in Iowa when gunfire erupted at a motorcycle club in the town of Waterloo. "There are a lot of things that people don't realize that she was so impactful, and I think it's I think it's great that people are really taking interest in our legal system are our justice system and you know a woman who is going to be an icon forever. Well, I think that it comes once in a while to pass that we have somebody who's been in the public eye who really does have an impact. Who's not political. Remember her best friend was end in Scalia. Nobody could have been further away from philosophies than the two of them were, But yet they spent socially their time together at the court and on their own much time together, and she freely said. That he was her best friend. So I thought it was pretty interesting that when it comes to that there were people that profile it for sure, but not as many people paid attention to it. And maybe what? You're gonna ask the question. Why should they? What's so unusual? Okay, So let me politically speaking, Richie. You're on one side. You've got plenty of friends who are on the other side. It just maybe don't talk about politics or half about your points of view, And that's the way it audibly. What the hell difference does it make? So you like I've got different Is that four? What's the What's the difference? I. Here's the difference. Okay? I respect their points of view. I made not disagree with it, but I accept their reality and respect their point of view. Because if I deny their points of view I cannot have a conversation with them. And maybe have them see my point of view. So perfect case in point is the gay guy that lives across the street from me that voted for Obama twice Now he texts me every night and can't wait to vote for Trump. He's so excited to have this conversation with me. Why did you want of me? I mean, he's a dink. He and his partner makes a wide money and do income. No kids. You guys have never heard that I got. My gay marriage was like only the Democrats or anything, but, well, my gay friends who are married are actually Depending on what happens with the Supreme Court. Gay marriage has been given and taken away in the past, and it could be it could be done again. So I don't know if he really wants your taxes cut. Well, good for him, and I don't think you that's your I think we I give you as much rope on that one. If you want, Victoria, I don't think any of those things are going to change. I just don't The country as upset as it is and is confused as it is on DH is right wing in some parts of it are in left wing is other parts in there that you shall meet. You know what? That's that's not play of the left for a long time. This. The threatened to take away abortion threatened to take away rights threatened to take away because they have been taken away before. That's why it's not there and taken away when I was there. No growth they're going. Excuse me. One of one abortion was not legal there Roe v. Wade all if you I mean, we know this. We've talked about this in the D. J B show. What do you mean, Since that isn't what I'm saying is since then, there are so many cases that are that are working in the lower court's already that are going to end up on the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade will be. It will absolutely go all the way back up to the Supreme Court. And you know, whoever Trump chooses he has. He has made no bones about it. It's going to be a pro life judge. There shouldn't even that shouldn't even be a term. It should be. Someone who hold with holds upholds the law. Cavanaugh actually said it was it was considered settled law. That's not any of the answers that we've been getting from Amy Cockney Barry Forever name is we haven't we've. She's definitely not said that So a lot of a lot of women, I think, rightfully so our concern. Maybe it won't happen. Great. It's not like we're wishing for this to happen. But you know if you're if you're turning a blind eye and just saying Oh, everything's going to be fine. That's that's that's ridiculous, saying that it's going to be fine, but I think that somewhere deeply rooted in the minds of the psyche. Of Americans who have a clue know that this is not something that you can trifle with. You can bake a lot of noise about it and make what can you do if the Supreme Court is Max and some of these other places they just love to beat away at that, But take away the news media. But if you're just a regular person who supports a woman's right to govern her own body And then the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. What can an average person do nothing. There's nothing you can do about it. But getting to that point where we have see we've gotten into that same thing. We're having the same argument. That we've had for years. It doesn't go anywhere. So it's 16 past the hour. This the note is near.
