Jimmy Kimmel Claims Donald Trump-Bill O'Reilly Event Fizzled in Orlando, Florida
"Jimmy Kimmel last night made fun of the Trump Bill O'Reilly stop in Orlando. Do you realize Tracy from our team went to that event? She sent me videos. The place was packed. I mean, there were some empty streets betrayed she estimated, I don't know, 75%. You know how big the amway center is? Somehow Jimmy Kimmel, I guess showed some empty seats and met and mocked Trump and O'Reilly as saying people aren't attending. Do we have that clip? I mean, unreal. He's lying. How about not, how about not lying?

Trump kicks off re-election campaign at Orlando rally
"What a evening we had last night in the Amway center before I took off. On average, average, we we lost lost two two thousand thousand manufacturing manufacturing jobs jobs a month, since by an organization we've added sixteen thousand manufacturing jobs, a month that didn't happen by accident. Remember the statement from the previous administration, you need a magic one to bring back manufacturer. Well, we'll tell sleepy Joe that we found the magic wand. The sleepy guy. Magic one he did fine with me on the ninety four five. The answer guest line for a few minutes this morning. Drew mckissick, chairman of the South Carolina, Republican party, welcome in Mr Chairman, glad to have you. Good morning. How you doing her? I am wonderful after a night lack a last night. I mean what an it, citing Kreil down here in Orlando, drew, and I know that we had a lot of watch parties around South Carolina last night. Throughs, iast crowds. And that's our job now that's, that's what we have to do in South Carolina. And we got rallied troops and help the president get reelected next year. Look. It was it was a great night in view actually being down there. We were obviously up here in South Carolina. And like I said, we had a lot of watch parties around St. last night. I was actually in Greenville, the green will counted. You watch party last night, had a big crowd about half of the people in the room actually were completely new people never been to Republican party needing four, so, which which is goes to prove that the president has drawn a lot of new people into our party. So grow our party, we saw evidence of that and the elections here in two thousand eighteen here in South Carolina when we were able to actually beat Democrats by eight points on a straight ticket ballot statewide. And so just a record for us more and more excitement about the president. But also, you know, look, the accomplishments. I mean he's is he recounted their last night. They've got a great record to run on the economy's booming. We've got a record low unemployment rate over six million new jobs. We slash government regulations and he is actually now manage to get the Mexican gonna. Government to do more to defend our southern border than Democrats are willing to do forgetting, I mean, you know, so tremendous progress, and then on top of that, obviously a conservative judicial appointments incredibly important, as you know, over the long haul, and look, it's just it's a things like this or opportunities for us to continue to bring new people into our party and grow it, which helps Republicans all the way down the city and county council rations and drew. That's the encouraging part. And I'm glad to hear you say that, that there were a lot of new people there in Greenville, and I suspect S's case over and smart murderer, Cordis, and the others. And that's what I witnessed here in Orlando, drew, I got down on Monday and got out and walked around had an opportunity to talk with people who literally had pitched tents that we're gonna be sleeping out on the street so that they could be a part of this. "President Trump has raised a whopping twenty five million bucks for his reelection and just twenty four hours. You have what was that the Amway center is at the name of that place. Amway center twenty thousand butts and all those seats that place was to capacity and thousands of people outside the excitement. That is generated where do you find that on the democrat side where in fact, we think about it? Look, you need to dig for this. But you'll see and you laugh at it when you see it when Joe Biden, uncle sloppy Joe, he's out there. Hang on a second. My ADD synapses firing all over the place. I need to say something about Joe here in a little bit. See if I remember. Joe does you know, he goes somewhere. And he's he speaks to the campaign trail somewhere. There are more people run for president. On the democrat side. Right down, sometimes than people who show up to see uncle Joe Biden sloppy. Joe biden. If the cameras would only do us all the favor of going back and look in the looking at the crowd so we can actually do a head count. We'll see a dozen sixteen thousand people at different events. More people are running for president. What is it now like twenty three twenty four on the democrat side? Here's what I wanted to say President Trump. I know he didn't touch on it. Maybe maybe, right. He, he mentioned slot. Joe biden. What's a couple of times? Maybe right. He didn't mention Hillary Hillary, Mr President. A suggestion to you. You anyone the minions listening in checking and see what Dana say, Mr President, focus, your fire on sloppy? Joe Biden, confuse them send them running for the political hills. You see if, if you Mr President, if you focus your political fire on sloppy Joe, I know you call them sleepy Joe. And that's another thing you should consider. Let's shift gears, just call them sloppy. Joe because that's what he is not. He sloppy with his hands putting on shoulders and arms. And necks sniffing hair? He sloppy when it comes to his comportment he stopped me when it comes to his his words, some of the racist things that he said. Well was it? St. told me last year. He said, most recent gaffe, Joe Biden was heard, or quoted crediting, some key lawmakers from some years bag when he was, I guess. Much younger lawmaker. All these people were segregationist back then this guy he. As a big fat political Bairro full of fish, and you just take your political shotgun. Mr President and fire is he Mr President, if you focus on sloppy? Joe Biden number one change. It from sleeping sloppy focus on sloppy. Joe and explain why he sloppy you want that dude to be Lucia to be the leader of our country. Absolutely not. I think American public will say now this guy, hey and all their see by focusing on stoppage. Oh, Biden, Mr President, the other twenty three twenty four whoever is running. Maybe they'll be a few more people announcing that they'll be running for president here on the Democrats side because they want to sell a book near future. They like to say, well, I ran for president. By my book. If you focus on sloppy Joe Biden, it's over. Mr President, everyone else will be begging for your attention. You can you just see all the quotes and the outrageous commentary. They'll be angling, begging for time on on the liberal view on ABC. They'll be begging for airtime on the court jester shows late night television. All these entertainers all these all these clowns and comedians, you know, they, they take a political angle pay they're free to do that. And not yourself out. Man, you're, you're spoon, feeding ignorance to a younger generation. That's good. Now. That's fine as we're free to do that. You can be a stupid as you want in this country. But everybody else in the field will be begging for airtime, just to be noticed. You see Donald Trump gang you guys remembered. Donald Trump, he owned the media superstar celebrity. He had the reality show. He's been a reality show figure. He's been a superstore for the longest longest time. He the ultimate political outsider. He trounced, what was it sixteen candidates running for president on the GOP side. I remember commenting to my news director, Tim here, I during the, the up for the campaign, every morning on FOX and friends there, it is phone call to Donald Trump, every single Thomas almost every single day is Donald Trump back on the show by phone commenting on some it's it was almost as if FOX. They declared Donald Trump defacto winter. Hello. Ted Cruz running. Little Marco's running. GM. Yeah. He's run into. There's a bunch of other people running. No, they just bringing dump Trump back. He got all that free airtime is see Donald Trump. President trump. You can do that. You could do uncle sloppy. Joe a favor and just ignore everyone else and bring him in make reference to sloppy. Joe make reference to that, that big book of, of silly quotes and comments. And gaffes has has one thing that we, we've learned about sloppy Joe and you know how the left is they've always forgiven him. Oh. As Joe Biden, Funchal Jonas, Joan sloppy and you quote him you go to that. Big book of Joe Biden gaffes and remind people how much this guy loves the taste of his shoe. So Mr President, please consider number one whole sleepy thing is not selling man. You're the marketing genius. You're the brains of the operation, Mr President. I'm just saying respectfully you can do a little better than that than sleepy Joe. It's sloppy Joe and then explain and quote, the sloppiness that is Joe Biden, ignore everybody else. And there you go. His present lead. The Joe Biden, the presently that he has will be a commanding. And forever. You know, no one else will be able to catch him. That's what I'm saying. No one's going to be able to catch. President Trump kicking off the race for president kicking off his reelection campaign in Florida. Key swing state that must be won the race for president and I know all the polling data the came out this week showing the swing states. The president has been weak right now. All I know. And all I hear is that the economy is firing on all cylinders. And I am convinced. I know it's a bit anecdotal, but just check in with folks. Let me give you an example. When I want the opinion of some. Real world people see in the universe that I live in, and my buddy, Dana, and talk show, people, and people, even in the news business the universe that we live in a much like you to because you an information junkie, you tuning into talk radio. You're an information junkie. You're constantly feeding off of this. This source of information, you don't listen to FM radio. You don't listen to satellite or or music service every night. You got your hits. You listen to them. You got your recordings MP three all that. You and I as information minded, people, we are the exception, we're not the norm. So in this cluster of stations were here, my talker in south Texas. K U, R V, we have sister stations, I check with the FM crew, because all they do is spend fifteen twenty minutes music, whatever format they're doing. And then they, they carnival barking about something they're selling something. And then go back to fifteen twenty minutes, and they're constantly online to paint a little games doing social media stuff, and they talked with callers who are working for a living. They're building stuff or cleaning toilets. Whatever they're doing. They're taking their calls and taking the music request. So I try to gauge from them their opinion of the political world. And the news won't see much they're consuming and because of social media. They are consuming quite a bit of information. They will get their information from, you know, the, the standard social media Facebook Twitter, Instagram at whatever they see a role in online. Anecdotal completely on go just from my music side on the on the business. The biz Mike, lesser on the music side. They think in general just from the few opinions that I've been able to gather from from France, the DJ's. The, the FM deed, is the music DJ's. For for, for business people. The salespeople were all, I'm a DJ, by the way. I'm a news talk show host. I'm a talk show host DJ. Proof got sales people say Sergio, you're a great DJ. We love you. Thank you. Go out there and sell something. The verdict from the other side of the building. The music side, the Democrats are disorganized, and Joe Biden doesn't have it. He does not create this excitement in energy. And trust me, people on the other side of the music's all Democrats. And they're not excited as I said, very few people show up to many events. Joe Biden is talking. I bet you more people are running for president of the democrat side than show up to Joe Biden speeches, and presentations, and QNA's not all of them, but a bitch, a whole lot of Donald Trump Puerto show up surprise, surprise. I'm here in the middle of Cincinnati Pittsburgh. I'm here. I'm here for two hours. There would be a mad, rush of humanity downtown Pittsburgh, the president will show up in Pittsburgh today. I'm here people here for two hours coming, meet become say, Hello. Oh, there would be a mad rush of it would look like the US Mexican border here. Mccowan sixteen hundred people two thousand people. Just rush immediately, try to get a glance try to get a picture of the president. That's the excitement that generates versus the. On the side. And that's the truth. And an example. Why the polls are lying to you. I don't believe the polls are liars, damn liars and status. Titians lie into you. Don't believe the polls you just get your butts out there. Donald Trump shows up in your neighborhood, you go out there and support it, and you get busy, you get active with your local office. You go out there and block wa go door knock and do whatever it takes to make sure that we keep prosperity rolling. If this nation liberty minded prosperity as the only one that exists. You're listening to the Danish. Oh I'm Sergio Sanchez online. Dana last radio dot com. Now, now, the three big things you need to know. Three Trump administration is rolling back in Obama era rule, regulating coal fired power plants in their emissions, the EPA says, it's all about promoting energy independence growing humanitarian needs at the southern border. "Was fantastic. Thank you. Thank you. Our very own. Morgan lash singing, the song that was being passed around at the rally last night, keep America great. That was based off of the song. I love you more today than yesterday. We don't have any details of who wrote best out is this official is it. Unofficial. They must put a lot of work into it, though, because they really did change the lyrics to match the keep America. Great female knew how to be an inside job. They knew the keep America great. Right. They knew which was, you know, the big deal last night was the changing the slogan. The news Logan, but this was the rally started. So I'm thinking this is an inside job. Maybe you know they, they not only made it match the theme. But I think the lyrics are pretty clever to the way arranged it pretty good job. So there you have it. The official Trump twenty twenty campaign song. I think we can make something happen. I think we can get you on stage. I wanted these rallies, there was there was something else that happened last night's the president did a little Rick rolling. During his speech. So here here's what the president had to say, and it was phrased very specific way. Clearly. He was Rick Rolin crowd promise you that I will never ever let you down. I won't. It's. I don't know. Did the crowd? Whoever was handling the sounds. They totally missed the ball opportunity. I totally dropped the ball. They totally should have busted out the Rick Ashley over the loudspeakers Amway center that was their chance. Okay, if he was mad about a cough. I think he would have been living there. It is interesting. Is this the new Trump song like at the end of the rallies Rolling Stones now? Is it going to be Rick? Ashley. Pilot. I like this a little bit better. I think you should play this at the end of his rallies as people start to walk out the doors..

"That song. Will likely be blaring tonight at the Amway center in Orlando, Florida, that is the song that Rolling Stones hit is the song that President Trump has used as his if you will walk up that prefer walkup music, you think of baseball and tonight in Orlando, and they're gonna have over twenty thousand I've seen reports people are camped out outside the Amway center in Orlando. President Trump and vice President Mike Pence will do what is probably considered the least kept secret and the most would you save? The most expected thing he could do officially officially kick off his reelection campaign tonight in Florida. There have been like fifty nine campaign events. I ready, but it officially. Stop painting. I mean he was campaigning and twenty sixteen. Then they had the victory, the victory, rallies well into seventeen and eighteen and here we are nineteen in call the campaign. Oh, here we go. It kicks off tonight. To be a huge event tonight. The arena. Listen to this more than eighteen thousand people, the president's campaign, so that they receive request for more than one hundred thousand people who want to be there tonight, you know, this Florida's a key battleground state, the president narrowly beat Hillary Clinton. They're back in two thousand sixteen. They're feeling the heat, they're already given Joe Biden. They fight over the polls that they've had their to Florida is a must win this time around Zulia, so the president will attend a fund raiser in, then a campaign rally. Of course. So they'll be tens of thousands of people at this thing she mentioned, the requests for one hundred thousand requests for tickets now last night. The president wrote on Twitter that thousands already lined up outside the rally ABC news was there and counted about two hundred and fifty people. It'll be up coal. It'll be a full house. No, no matter what it's gonna be a massive campaign rally tonight to kick it all off a facially official. In Florida again is a battleground. It is one that I'll remember back on.

"Twenty thousand people in the the Amway center. And then you had people all over the place, yet, people camping out. Camping out to be a part of it. CNN even noted listen. The excitement for this guy is real. And could you imagine this for one of the Democrats destructive when you look this notion of excitement of enthusiasm? When you look at people pitching tents and waiting for two days to get it, the Trump rally to for people who are just coming out of the woodwork because they are so committed and loyal to this man. They want to see and join this effort of this relay, you have to ask yourself among those twenty three Democrats, which one of those do you think are going to people that would be pitching tents a day before a rally to get inside and show their support. And I think obviously, I don't mean that literally that I mean that as an instruction that you have to think through which one of these Democrats enthuse their supporters that much that they can take this battle to the president. I think that's going to be a big question in this primary since I did see a fi. Give me a massive question in this primary season. Thank you, David talen but I think it's a good question who amongst the Democrats would could get. People inspired enough to pitch a tent. When you say that way, it's just. Let's just phrasing. I'm sorry, who amongst the Democrats could get people excited enough to hang out in the rain. For two days in order to see them. Don't deny that the response to, and the excitement of President Trump, and I second term isn't moving people, and that people aren't going to be activated for this election doesn't guarantee victory that I'm not saying that. I'm saying that for all you have on the democrat side all twenty plus candidates. Excitement is something different Tony cats Tony cats today, eight three three got Tony eight three three four six eight eight six six nine. Because what you have on the other side is not a conversation of excitement. It's a conversation of hate. Don't lie to yourself. Don't let's not lie to each other. Hate is a very powerful motivator. Very powerful. Very strong motivator. Which brings us. To Bernie Sanders. This was him just hours before the Trump rally. Well, I'm surprised that he has the time for tweet. I thought it'd be.

It was such a fun experience last night. I mean, there's people have been waiting for forty hours to get in. They've got their under tents and they're in sleeping bags, and it's kinda like just this, this communal atmosphere of fun and excitement. And a lot of neat people from all over the country, literally, this is gonna be a big deal. The president has said that over a hundred thousand ticket requests on infra twenty thousand seat arena. So they've shut down all of downtown Orlando. It seems the roads are all all the streets are closed and blocked. We're going to be broadcast for right outside the embassy Senator today, go to the rally today. Well, talk to me a little bit about the the Amway center. Because when you said the Orlando Magic play there that's kind of a loose definition of play. How many people does it take twenty five thirty thousand twenty thousand and so that's really kind of nervous. The city officials are a little anxious about how many people could show up they've got a huge field where they've got big giant, screen TV set up a stage there's a festive atmosphere all day long the ideas to have kind of a day long. They call the calling Trump. But, but, you know, to talk to people Hugh. It's so fun. Because everybody's got this sort of positive attitude. I watched a protester confront a group of them last night, guy, very angry started shrieking these people, and what are you doing supporting this guy and out of nowhere? An Orlando police officer came up and just shoot. The guy away and said, I'm not gonna let you disrupt this group, and he said, they're not doing anything wrong and stop trying to incite them. And then they moved them away and everybody clapped and they were just happy as can be. And I was wondering what the provocateur to participant. Ratio is one to about a thousand okay, good. That was last night. Today. But again, I was at the line just kind of interviewing people who were waiting to get in and one guy from from key west worn. I interviewed the first guy in line, there has gotten, he west Florida, who would will will he will waited forty three hours to get in and it's and she was hot as eighties here. I mean, worried about Florida storms in the middle of the afternoon evening. Are they prepared for inclement weather, because lightning is not something, you know, all we need is somebody get hit by lightning a Trump rally, right? No kidding. Oh, no kidding. It'll be that'll be providential for the mainstream media. They'll slip out. No, it actually storms ripped through yesterday evening. And they were all there and nobody moved. I mean, a lot of these people are under little makeshift tents that they have erected on the sidewalk there. Letting people put tents up. But it was it was like a month soon. I mean these poor people, and they braved it. They sat through it. Why interviewed one lady, she said, it's just a little water to get into CR president who you love. He can do no wrong. He's a. Christian man. And we are fighting for him. I mean, the dedication of he's folks, you is off the charts. And it was it was a lot of fun to watch. Well, we will we'll try and check in with you again. But you'll ignore our phone calls next hour at the same time, promote Mike, I try and help, Mike out all the time, constantly just stepping on me, but I try to help him out so we're gonna talk to.

"I'm your host Ryan. Gorman the president wrapped up his speech little over a half hour ago at the Amway center in Orlando, Florida. And that's where we go now to check in with some of our reporters on the ground. Let's start with Rory O'Neill Rory. How are you? Good ryan. How are you? Good. So what stood out to you about this speech and the crowd's reaction to it all? Well, the crowd got what they expected talked to role. Happy about it a lot of red meat and that speech, it was really quite a checklist. Hit everything from ISIS, and abortion to the economy and Joe Biden. So there was a bit of everything for everyone at the Beijing outta here in a hurry. We talked about the fact that they lined up a day and a half. They were anxious don't leave and even as the president was winding up a lot of people were heading to the door. It's going to be eager to follow going to be a line of traffic. So I'm sure some people wanted to beat the traffic. In fact, we heard from a couple of callers who were there at the event, you left just a few minutes early to make their way out on the highway get a little jump start in the crowd walked. Right. Exactly. So was there a moment that you think will likely dominate the post rally news cycle? The response to Huckabee Sanders stunning. I don't know if you could tell, but that was, I think how the came to a stop for her. So in a sense, I think she stole that show, but I think a lot of people are just proud of that moment where you delivered to lion, saying, he will be seeking reelection again. And I think that's what the people wanted to hear. And, and there's really are history were you able to get a sense being there in the crowd as to how much the president was going off to teleprompter, and how much he was doing his own riff on things. It was about eighty percent teleprompter and twenty percent risk by my rough estimate. It was the way that they laid out the form. He's almost his podium was almost there at the middle of the of the court where the magic play maybe about three point line. He's actually pretty far away from the back. So it was a was intimate setting between him and the cameras and the response by the crowd towards the media was was a lot of fun after on show, yet, for those who haven't been to Trump rally before, especially at an arena, like this, usually you have people set up behind the president. So if you're thinking of a basketball arena, that would be more towards the hoop on one end, and that section and you had the president like you said closer to the three point line. And on the opposite end of the court would be generally, where the media is set up the cameras are set up and all of that, and then you've got the people around, and you've got a crowd in the middle there in between the media and the president as well. In terms of the crowd's response was aside from Sarah. Can be Sanders in her surprise appearance in the remarks that she made on stage. Was there anything else, any, any other moment that you thought really got the crowd energized? When he mentioned the space for people here would have been welcoming to more even more details about it. But that would be something that we would get locally here. Some some, some spinoff, perhaps of any space force that does develop. So I think that got some extra reaction that you might not have gotten another parts of the country specifically for this crowd. Mostly Florida crowd, our very own Rory O'Neill the Amway center, ROY. I'll let you try to make your way out of there. Now I know it's going to be rough it down. I think I think they've got got you beat a little bit the crowd. They're already out there in their cars, so. All right. Thank you so much for joining us, now we turn to you, I guess that we had on before the rally took place for some post speech analysis. We're joined by author of swamp wars, Donald Trump, and the new American populism versus the old order. Jeffrey Lord, Geoffrey. You had told us you were going to a tavern air in Pennsylvania to watch the speech. How, how did the crowd there at the tavern? How did they respond to what the president had to say tonight? I gotta tell you Ryan. I was really impressed. These folks, absolutely loved it. They had to large screen TV's that were, you know, in the middle of the tavern and the place was packed to the rafters. And so when he would give his various punch, and everything that place, just a rutted in enormous applause. I mean, whether you were talking about trade or taxes, when he was telling you about giving America back to Americans, you know, regular folks, and all of this kind of thing when he brought out Sarah Huckabee, this place went crazy. And I mentioned this because I think in terms of what we were talking about earlier. This is the kind of response. That's going to be very key to carrying a state like Pennsylvania, and Florida for that matter visited Yasim counts for a lot and the people that I was talking to tonight. We're wait a minute. Twenty sixteen. They were regular folks who met over social. Media in came together. They carried this county that I'm in right now. Neighboring counties. This is gonna be a very interesting election year that got a lot of passion to this believe me. Conventional wisdom would normally tell you that the opponent in a situation like this would probably have more enthusiasm on their side. But clearly when it comes to the president's base of support very enthusiastic tonight at the center in Orlando and apparently at the tavern there in Pennsylvania. Yeah. To believe I mean I haven't seen any stories at imagined. There were other gatherings like the when we had there that I was at around the country. And, you know, when you when you contrast this with the, you know, a handful of people showing up for impeachment rallies. They that tell you eighty five people show up for Joe Biden in Iowa. I guess it was he was here in Pennsylvania, not willing to go, and he had six hundred people in this audience, you know, this enthusiasm factor is going to be a big deal to me. I can't I can't emphasize enough. How vested these people feel in, in Donald Trump? They really do believe that he represents them and they are there to, you know, carry them forward. A lot of what we heard tonight during the course of his campaign kickoff speech were items that we have certainly heard before and other either presidential speeches are the rally speeches. Do you think the president has to change up his messaging and all during the course of this campaign? Or will he be able to pretty much stick with what we're typically used to hearing from an-and moving forward as he continues to do future rallies during the course of the campaign. I think it'd be a little about he will stick with his central themes without doubt. But yeah, the fact that we got five hundred some odd days to go. Yeah. Just, you know, events are going to change, and, and he and his opponent, whomever, that turns out to be are gonna have to adapt to the change. And so whatever that might be I am certain beyond doubt that he will, you know, sort of thread that into his central argument for reelection as is opponent, whomever, that is will threat into arguments as to why should be defeated question for you. We know the president loves doing these rallies, he gets energized by being near with the crowd. He's, he's been in the White House now two and a half years. Do you think this will innocence, re-energize him, the fact that he'll be out among the people more often travelling the country and doing more of these types of events? Absolutely. I mean it really does draw energy from these things. There's no question about it. But, you know, Harry Truman used to call the White House, the big white jail and, and having worked in the White House. I can tell you that you're, you're in essence, when you're in, you're in a bubble and presidents, always like to get out and talk to the people that elected them and, and the American people at center, and I think that applies in spades with Donald Trump. He just absolutely loves these things, and the people in these rallies love him. Author of swamp wars, Donald Trump in a new American populism versus the old order. Jeffrey Lord, Jeffrey, we appreciate you checking back in with us after the speech tonight. Thank you so much. Okay. Thanks. Bye. Bye. Coming up in a moment, we're going to talk to Trump twenty twenty director of strategic communications, Mark laudner about the president's speech and campaign that is next on our.

"Tuesday, June eighteenth big night tonight for the president on his way to our Landau is going to take part in a big campaign kickoff tonight. In, in Orlando Florida, the Amway center they're still there are already a few people in the building. They expect a I think twenty thousand they're going to get the full the full arena there. It looks like he's got a few things hanging over him today. The president does in terms of topics that may be discussed, including the fact that the former now or soon to be former acting secretary of defense Patrick Shanahan has withdrawn his name from nomination. He did say a few minutes ago that he did not ask Shana and to withdraw his, his name turns out, there was a USA today story about an ongoing FBI investigation into potential domestic violence incident involving he and his wife. Well, let's go live to Amway center now. Or we find Jim Ryan there in Orlando on hand for this event. Jim, how's it going? Yeah. The lower bowl here at Amway center already started to fill up with the supporters, many of them in their Mikic laps and at t shirts, they're waiting for the president's where I agree that the president is just now leaving Florida leading a why she can make you statements on the, the White House long before he leaves. But yeah, he'll appear here tonight. Yes, you guys have those things to discuss, of course, at the top of the list, Shannon, we'll be his, you know, that he's running for re election, that's the first quarter business. If tonight, a rally that doesn't look different from the ones that have been holding for the last four years or so. What is expected to be the theme of, of his speech tonight? Well, you don't just going to be going to walk which event that we've seen previously, they'll talk about immigration. He'll talk about healthcare banks, the media just a bit. But again, he's going to try to also appeal for votes. It's something that he really hasn't had to do before now that he's formalizing his campaign here in the I four corridor, which is crucial to winning Florida and maybe the White House, and he's going to ask people to go on both for the, the, the people who are lined up. Have they really been out there for thirty plus hours, thirty five hours already? Yes, they have. Lineup yesterday. I know, for fact that they were there at five o'clock on Monday morning, and the line has continued to build and people would say several dozen I and by the time today came along this afternoon, hundreds were out there waiting streets around him which had been blocked off. So, yeah, that's it wasn't amid those actually people out there waiting out. The president said that his office, it received a hundred thousand requests for tickets to this event. Don't know if that's accurate. But this place old forty thousand it may or may not be filled. You also have big TV screen outside for people who don't make it in. There been any protests outside. Yes. Demonstrations were going on civil of lots away. At least three organizations have expressed their intention to hold demonstrations here tonight while the rallies going on so yeah, not too uncommon to sit, there would be protests like that held not only for this president but previous presidents to. Jim, thanks so much. Jim Ryan there. ABC news in Orlando, Florida. Appreciate it. All right now, one of the stories that we have been we've been looking at and kind of toying with today's this story that came out of the Wall Street Journal about awkward misfires when it comes to workplace texting, now, we were discussing the accidental texts that are always, you know, a potential minefield if somebody sends a text to you that they were intending for their loved one or something that's completely nonsensical that shows up in your text chain that you have no idea what they're talking about. And then they go. Oh, sorry, that was that was for Bob. That was meant for you. And there are people who can make very embarrassing mistakes. Some people like to text little racy little things back and forth to each other something. From the romantic Rome. Perhaps, if I were to send something like that to Nick. Would you feel embarrassed though, if you sent it to Nick, I don't think I would feel that how deep in the romantic realm have I got I have no shame in this group when it comes to like something. So. Silly or whatever that it would just be like, oh, sorry that you would think you would hope I would think it was silly. Yeah. Perhaps, but if you know if you're working on some sort of romantic poetry or something for your husband..

That's what they're for that Speedo people need to cover bills. Yeah. I mean, rent mortgages childcare payments, none of that stops because of a government shutdown, and we've talked to dozens of federal employees who've been on the hill this week who, you know, who say their they have a lot of concerns that they have student loan payments coming up and a lot of people are feeling feeling. No because Mitch McConnell has said that he will not bring anything for to a vote unless the president says he'll sign it and the president feels like agreeing to that gives Democrats too much of what they want and in no assurances for him that then you know, he may get something on the border wall. Right. And that goes back to what blue what Pelosi and Schumer had said when they met with the president of the White House this week. And is if the president asked if I open the government now, we sign these bills will we get funding for a border wall. And she said, no, right. And I think. You know, there's two realities here right now one is that it's not just federal employees who are getting a paycheck of net zero today that are hurting, you know, I talk to one congressman who represents Olympic Nash the area where Olympic national park is in Washington state, and there's a ski resort run by the park service that Olympic national park. Well, the shutdown started on the first day of ski season. Well, that stinks. But what it does is it has a ripple effect? The restaurants in that area the hotels in that area. The gas stations all those people are now affected because there's no visitors coming to a closed a closed park in a close place to ski. So there's that reality the second reality is the political and that is that Republicans feel like by standing in their corner by holding their ground on the border wall. They will win politically with their base with their voters. Democrats feel the same way that they were they won the majority in the house by saying we will not give Donald Trump money for a while. And so when you have that reality. It's really hard to see how there's a pathway forward in that. We're not going to be stuck in the shut down for a long time. All right Dory.
