There's wasp came after tway instead. It wasn't my bag back. I'm holly showing my bag. He's was being the minimum rig got. This speaks about fucking girls do that on occasion. It's always funny. I'm talking about the cat to tell the joke. I don't remember the details. So i'm gonna set up the details i know so. We're leaving medieval times already. Funny we all went to medieval times and for someone's birthday and we're in this crowded parking lot leaving and chia. She grew up with this cat or cat. Peaches and recipes peaches. This is before pizzas before pizzas died. Well before yeah yeah. And she was talking she yes yes so now i will let so chiotis complaining about peaches now. Okay i'll let you know she. She made some. She was talking about the cat. Then she says something stupid to me. Oh yes she want. This was very early on in their relationship. But i don't know how we got there. Cat came on. "And I didn't always have the time to sit down and do exercise lessons with them. So naturally as an activity director. I'm like, I'm just gonna go and buy some DVD's and they, they liked it. So rather than doing the same old DVD, every single time I'd go out and buy like one or two on a month. And these DVD's would run anywhere from twenty to seventy bucks. Yeah. You heard me right. Seventy dollars for an exercise. DVD and the thing is either I spend twenty two seventy dollars on a DVD. I can continue to play, you know, over and again, or I hire a professional that comes in one time and get paid twenty two seventy dollars which by the way, I don't ever recall an exercise professional charging that low. And if you are an extra professional charging twenty dollars for half hour or forty five minutes session with senior citizens increase your rates for crying out loud. It's not the nineteen ninety s anymore. We, you know you need to pay your bills. So in any event, that's where DVD's kind of come into play. I know there's proof of concept. I know there are people out there still consuming DVD's. So this is where it comes into play with Amazon, video, direct, or even Amazon video. I mean Amazon, Amazon media on demand. Are you confused at any rate? Here's what I know one it's going to do it's, it's going to provide you with what's called an Amway. DVD. Enclosure so, and meaning that this is what your disc is being held in the case that's being held and it's called. Amurri. A. M A, R A, and you need to have cover art for that engineered have disc art, also the product that I have is pretty frigging stellar. It looked really, well polished and it's not just me sitting there gushing over my own graphic design. I really like it came out awesome. Like stellar way better than I thought they even when I had ordered a proof of this, it came in shrink wrapped in everything. So I was really cool about this. You also get bar code. The placements going to be on the back portion, and you can have it in the top left top. Right. Bottom, right? Bottom left, you can choose wherever you want your UPC. It's fairly intuitive. And again, you can always just order the product. Make sure it's place. Just right. I what I did was. I just looked at other DVD's saw with the layout was, and I chose what was the most common one and speaking barcode? You do get a free code slash product code. You can come with your own, if you wish, but kind of like, Katie P offers free ISP ns. They will offer you the free bar code to put to your DVD. So that made life easy for me. There's really no loss, on my part. I mean I'm like, okay, don't need to spend any money on a barcode or UPC. We're good to go the barcode as I had mentioned is going to be placed on the back and you choose which location is, and here's something I didn't know something. They didn't say inside their FAQ section or any of the information was, there's also a bar code placed on your DVD itself. And it was in the bottom middle. And unfortunately did kind of cover up just a little bit of the art that I had put in place. And actually, it was it was my like my disclaimer is what I put in the Barco kind of covered it up. I wish I would known that, but it, it's a simple fix. I can just go and fix the art and just upload, and kind of, like Katie p is when you just want to upload, and change it, that's it. It's just that easy. Something to know. Is the disc art is smooth. It's not like a paper, one that's been slapped on and it has a bunch of bubbles. No. This thing is burned on. It looks really nice. Speaking of burn, though, the data's burned in kind of, like almost like it's being put into computer, so it's not like encrypted like what you would get from a discount. You would get from the store, so it doesn't have like the pretty silver, shiny looked to it has more like a bluish purplish tent to it is this deal breaker to me. No. Not. Really? We'll you customers knows that probably not. You can't use MP four. So m people were is, is kind of the gold standard of. Most videos, or dot MO V. Those things won't work on DVD's. You have to use what's called ice. Oh, files dot I s files and I actually kind of I searched up different software and such found like a free to use one and Grammy. Like it was free. But then you would have like a watermark on your content on my I you can't have watermarks on your content, and that was one thing that media man was very explicit about no watermarks. So I had to upgrade for like a dollar for the first month for this particular software, and it's worth trying it out. I think it was like for the full upgrade, I could pay like thirty dollars for lifetime. So if this proves to be worthy over the next month, then I'll probably invest in it going into second month. I think it runs me, fourteen ninety five per month at that point, I might as well just go ahead and just pay for the entire thing outright. Okay. Metadata is pretty interesting in that it shares so much in common with publishing kindle direct publishing. Let's start out with categories. You really don't have a choice in the category. I reached out to their team by the way, I asked a lot of these things. I mean they probably got sick of hearing me, because I kept sending an inquiries and I fired off. You can't choose the categories, it's they literally will select it for you, and it seems like it's just kinda based on the actual product type more than it is the niche that you're in. So it's not like Katie p in that, you know, you have health and health, fitness and dieting, and it goes down into homework, outs, and it goes down into ads and it goes down to for women. No, it's not like that at all. It's static boom. You can't add any additional ones. There's no, you know, extra things you can put in there. So. But here's the really nice thing, though. When you do publish your product, it will match it up to the similar product with similar info. So as an as for instance, I published the fifteen minutes, standing odds workout plan through prime video direct. It's been up there for probably about two three weeks now. And so it was really simple. They put it all together. I wasn't aware of it until I just searched up my DVD and I saw they shared the same page kinda like e books in print books, do. So this is kind of nice that it indexes those two things together. And if for some reason, in the also give a gentle nudge that you can also watch this on prime video, and that's, that's cool to me. So let's say for since and somebody doesn't wanna pay twenty dollars for my DVD like. They see. It's on prime video. Oh, cool. So they go over and watch that. And of course, either way, I'm going to get some kind of compensation. So that that's nice. They do honor HTML in the descriptions, now the descriptions are kinda interesting. And I'm saying this a little bit of like a twinge I face a little confused. It's not like books are. I know I said it is if you're confused by now. That's all right. I totally get it because I said, you can use the TM L much like you.

That found a three hundred pound fat dude in his boxers trying to steal her car on Saturday. When he he actually charged her. She hit him with a bat. She used to play softball. She said cops caught him down the street and arrested him here is the sixty five year old woman that went up side. This guy's head with a bat. My I brace myself many him up. Boo. I love this old lady sixty five years old so used to play softball back in the day. So she just happened to have a bat still laying around and this three hundred pound, you know, Dudas underpants tries to steal her car comes at her. And what does she say pyeho? Abby some way for this guy to figure out how to sue her like, it's her fault. Good God forbid, you know, I'm glad she didn't have a gun because I'm sure somebody would be looking for a way to put her in jail right now. Eric swallow would be on her front doorstep. Not gonna. "Are you really? Everything's gonna be okay. Yeah. I'm fun. Pretty from kids. Okay. With this. Are you? Okay. With this. This is interesting legendary IndyCar racing owners Penske and Ganassi's those names ring a bell with you don't they long rival Roger Penske Chip Ganassi. They're both lobbying for guaranteed starting spots at the Indy. Five hundred full-time members of the series. Are you okay with this? We've got guaranteed spotting starting spots. Now, man, I'm not. But I admit I'm a fan. Now, if I were Chip Ganassi if I were Roger Penske, I understand why they're doing it. Because let's be honest the Indy. Five hundred carries the IndyCar series. Right. It gets the most people through the gate. It makes the most revenue it gets the most attention, and it's not even close. It's the greatest race in the world. It's the world's largest one day sporting, all so beca for seconds. So they're they're saying are drivers who participate full-time on IndyCar should have a guaranteed spot of five hundred. They shouldn't have to participate in. In bump day, right? They have a spot guaranteed. Meaning that if they do all the other races, they do Long Beach. If they do, you know the Texas race the IRS they're part of the full season of IndyCar. No still qualify about starting grids. But they're guaranteed a spot in the show because what you get sometimes with the five hundred is a lot of people want to run these one off teams just to make the race. Because you've finished last place in the Indy. Five hundred my goodness. That's still probably more than winning a lot of other races finishing thirty third. But my problem is listen, I believe the fastest thirty three cars should be in the race. That's good for the sport. That's good for the fans. So if somebody wants to run a double like NASCAR start we saw Kurt Busch to there's a couple years ago, he would kind of be penalized here. Now, I know they don't have thirty three full-time drivers in the IndyCar series. I know that for argument's say, let's say thirty three teams thirty-three drivers. That means nobody knew could come in a race the Indy five hundred guys like Fernando Alonzo couldn't come over and run because there's no spot for him or guys from NASCAR wanting to run the double maybe Tony Stewart decides, you know, what I'm bored. I wanna run the Indy. Five hundred next year. You're telling me there's no spot for Tony. If they're worth thirty three now. Now, I'm old school. I'm a fan. Fastest thirty three cars make the race. If you can't make it sucks to be you Amurri. Okay. With this Carl's junior will become the first major fast food chain debut, a cannabis infused burger, well there we go there. It is listen. Hey, right. Yeah. Forties in some areas. Carl's junior junior in another. I'm okay with this because I see the marketing aspect now if only going to be for one day because this weekend every stone is holiday for twenty April. Twentieth. Four twenty if the national stone or holiday so for one day at one store Carl's junior is going to have this cannabis infused burger, but we all have that one friend that just lives for weed for their whole life is about weed. They can't pay their rent. They have a crappy job, but they always have a big bag of weed the nicest ball the poster hanging up somewhere in their room. I'm telling you man, there's a market for this kind of stuff people love, we'd things look at some of the movies Cheech and Chong had a great career because of weed the movie half baked people still talk about it today because people love all things we'd and who. Knows maybe eat this cannabis and fused burger from Carl's junior. And guess what happens? You get hungry later on you have to go back Carl. That's the key. That's the genius of it. All they keep you coming back for more right next time you go back. Maybe get thick burger because the cannabis bird fill you up the first time. Hey, are you okay with this? Actress Soma Hayek's billionaire husband is donating one hundred thirteen million dollars to help rebuild the Notre Dame cathedral. This guy alone is he's a French businessman. Worth billions, and he's donating one hundred thirteen million to help rebuild the cathedral that burned down Notre Dom. That's an awful lot of money. I'm good with this. I'm not one to tell somebody what to do with their money. You make the money you spend the money. However, the heck you want to do it. But we're approaching one billion now in terms of money raised to help rebuild the Notre Dame cathedral. One billion. They have an insurance policy. I don't know state farm guy over there. Can we call Jake from state farm right now and see if they can cover the cost here. But part of me wonders like could you do this for another cause? And would it be affected? Like, let's just say there was a worldwide tough on. And you want it to end hunger. Could you raise a billion dollars in just a little over twenty four hours? What people call or were they say, well, hell, no, I'm not gonna donate to that people need to get jobs and get their own money. But in terms of fixing church man, people are coming out of the woodwork. This guy alone donated one hundred thirteen million bucks. The Walt Disney corporation put a big six figure number out there to help the Notre Dame cathedral. I'm just wondering could it work for other things? I don't think it could people wouldn't donate. "News weekend roundup. Here's correspondent Steve Dorsey. Brad Meltzer is a bestselling novelist. Now. He's turning his attention to history. Brad joins us in studio here in Washington, Brad. You're right about the secret plot to kill George Washington in your book the first conspiracy. I tell us about this plot. What happened? Yeah. I found the story nearly a decade ago, and it was really happened. It was a secret plot to kill George Washington. When George Washington found out about it. He rounded up those responsible. He grabbed one of the co conspirators built a gallows and he hanged the man in front of twenty thousand witnesses. It was the largest public execution at that point in North American history. It was George Washington. Bringing the hammered down said don't mess with me. I'm George Washington. I'm going to be on the money. One day is what he was saying. But I was really struck by why we didn't know the story the question. How do we how how is there? A plot to kill George Washington. We've never heard about it. And if you look at when the hanging took place it was on June twenty eighth seventeen seventy six guess what else was happening in America the week before July fourth, and it was the first draft of the declaration of independence is being handed him. We see the British are literally coming and in the midst of all this and headlines like that, this hanging becomes a footnote history and disappears. How did this plot come together? And ultimately, what stopped it, so it was a loyalist plot on the British side. Of course, led by the governor of New York, William Tryon, and he was very upset, of course, that he was out of power in the British power. And he wanted his power back. The most interesting part of who was responsible was George Washington had his own bodyguards. He'd asked at the start of the war all of his chest. Every regiments gimme for of your top men. He wanted the best of the best and from those. He actually narrowed it down to about fifty men and those became what we're known as the generals guards the commander's guards. But really the name that stuck was the lifeguards because they Gordon George Washington's life, and these were the men who turned on George Washington. These were the ones who are plotting against him. Have you find out to figure out this plot? He put together a secret committee was called the committee on conspiracies was the eventual name they took on and he put him in John Jane charge of it, who, of course, became our. I supreme court Justice, and John J the small group of really what amounted to three people was when in the middle of the night had midnight raids and took witnesses and did interogations and what they were really doing is. They were in the process of becoming America's first counterintelligence agency. Today, we think that the precursor to the CIA is the s. But in reality it wasn't. It was this was this committee on conspiracies from the revolutionary war and to this day right now in CIA headquarters in Langley Virginia. There was a room dedicated to John Jay who they call the father of counterintelligence, and it all stems from this plot the plot to kill George Washington. What do you think would have happened? If this plot were successful or if. George Washington didn't make a public display about the consequences of those involved in the plot. Yeah. It says you George Washington never says that the plot. He never talks about a publicly at all. And I wish I can say we definitely know we just don't it's one of those parts. That's a giant question, Mark. We don't know if it's because he wanted to keep it, quiet. There are some who suggests it's just wanted to put people off the trail. I personally think you never wanna tell anyone when you're all men turn against you. It's not really great way to portray strength, one of the things that I when I think of this moment is we all love to think that the revolutionary war was the declaration of independence, and there's a battle and George Washington's the president. And then we win in the end. It's a happy ending for all was far more complex than that. Today. We are a nation. That's divided. And there was no different back then in seventeen seventy six in New York City. There were nearly as many loyalists on the British side as there were on the American side on the patriot side and in our own military was the same division. You had the, you know, the there's a scene in the book where you see the Massachusetts regiment meets in Harvard yard, the Virginia regiment, and they get getting this argument and a big fight breaks out. Between them and George Washington comes riding in on his horse, grabs to the men responsible. And is shaking them basically saying stuff. Find each other Ron seemed team there were no United States back. Then George Washington had to help will it into being by putting his arms around everyone trying to pull us together. And so when you look at a plot like this now from a modern context you can't help but see where we are today. You wrote this book with a documentary producer, Josh Mench. Why did you go from writing thrillers? For all these years to nonfiction, particularly this subject there, isn't it? Brought Josh Allen is we used to do a TV show on the history channel called loss history. And we helped find the nine eleven flag at the firefighters raised at ground zero with this show. And Josh was the executive producer of the show. He's one of the most amazing researchers and when we found the flag full credit. You know, people always say, oh Brad your show brought the credit, but Josh was he could producer that show and his research was impeccable. And so I knew we were tackling this a new piece, or at least new in the sense that there's no modern book fully written on the subject that we needed the research that was going to be incredible. He's an incredible research writer and as far as making the transition from thrillers. I've always, you know, I do a whole lot of nonfiction books. The books that we put out. I am ABRAHAM LINCOLN Nelia Erhard, but I'd never found a full length. Adult topic that I felt like warranted. A nonfiction book until I found this one when I found this topic. I said, you know, what this is the first book ever wanna do this completely nonfiction? It was just such a big topic. And some that really hadn't been explored in any good. Washington biography has a few paragraphs are a couple of pages on it. But no one had exploded at at full book length in the modern time that we could find, and we just said we have to tackle this thing. Brad Meltzer in studio on the weekend roundup on his book the first conspiracy. Thank you. Thank you, sir. Now to New York where the trial of Mexican drug kingpin, El Chapo continues.
