How the White House Gave Putin a Green Light for Ukraine
"Now, we're talking about a Pakistan here, Chad and before we go, I want to make sure we have you wrap up on that, but I also want to get your take on what's happening in Russia, Ukraine, IRC, Xi Jinping, visiting Russia. This is absolutely insane. All right, so just if you would ramp up what you were talking about as far as Pakistan and the ISI yeah, I mean, just I mean, this is our enemy. This is who we've been fighting for the last 20 years when we fight when we say fight and Taliban. And the truth is, we didn't negotiate with our allies. We didn't negotiate with. We didn't negotiate with the Afghan government. We spent 20 years in place. The only people we talked to when I say we, The White House talk to was the Taliban, our enemy of 20 years, and we left Afghanistan without the consensus of the rest of the world. And we had 2500 troops there. We had 2500 troops and 20 places that can name around the world. We still have 50,000 troops in Japan and 40,000 in Germany and 35,000 in South Korea. This is not how the United States strategical leaves places and it created a catastrophe. And left Americans behind cost American lives left a 100,000 Afghan allies behind and left a 40 million vulnerable Afghans including 20 million women and little girls that we raped and for the rest of their life because of this. And so it's complete tragedy. And the world is watching our enemies are watching, which leads us into why Putin invaded Ukraine because he could. Because of the weakness in our White House and he postured against the imposture and the border with a 100,000 troops. Right. Joe, Joe Biden flinched, moved our U.S. troops out of Ukraine, moved our embassy out of Ukraine, the rest of the NATO partners followed and gave a green light for Putin to come in. And now we're sending a 113 plus $1 billion to Ukraine. None of that money is making it to help those people. It's a complete catastrophe. It's only it's only emboldening Putin and continue doing what he's doing and it's incentivizing people like zelensky who are getting all this money and never in this war because why they're making veins and dollars off of it, including corrupt politics in the United States.

Poll: Democrats Now Sympathize More With Palestinians Than Israelis
"Is the baron Boris Epstein. Welcome back to America first. Happy Friday. Happy Friday my friend. It's an honor to be with you and honor me with the audience that is beautiful Friday it is president Trump dominating the polling winning all across the spectra putting on putting out powerful videos but a great week. Yeah, we played clips for two clips from his video at the top of the show. If he keeps on doing that, he will be just fine substantive policy videos, but you mentioned polling. Let's talk about a poll that I'm sure disturbs you, my dear friend. This is from the daily caller, Kate Anderson. I need you to react, especially when it comes to how these people vote in the federal elections. Democrats now sympathize more with Palestinians than Israel for the first time in decades, the latest polling, this just blows my mind. This is from Gallup Boris. Help me understand this. Now, 49% of registered Democrats have a preferential view of the Palestinian authority over Israel and the pro Israel vote has sunk to 39%. Do these people not understand the difference between these two communities? They do not understand it. And it is absolutely disappointing, depressing and awful, that the left in America, Ilhan Omar, she looked like AOC, Jim Clyburn, Nancy Pelosi. Their push to anti Israel, anti zionist, like beyond anti semitic agenda so far that now as well as pulling low solo with American public. President Trump stood for his move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem he took out from Soleimani, he fought for Israeli independence. He recognized the goal on heights and he was the best friend to the State of Israel, really an American history, but now you've got the left, let's just be honest, there isn't just about being anti Israeli or anti zionist, anti semitic.

The Implications of China Brokering a Deal With Saudi Arabia and Iran
"So Iran and Saudi Arabia are enemies. It's important to emphasize that Iran and Saudi Arabia are some people think, well, there are both Muslims and so obviously they're not enemies well. Actually, no. First of all, the Saudis are Arabs. The Iranians are not. Number two, there is huge rivalry for who gets to be top dog in the Middle East. The rivalry is between the important countries in the region really namely three. Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has by and large been in the American orbit. It's been our ally and Iran has been our adversary, at least since the Khomeini revolution of the late 1970s. So what does it mean that these two adversaries that had no diplomatic relations with each other? They weren't talking to each other, are now coming together and they're coming together in important ways. They're going to open up diplomatic relations so that means embassies and Iranian embassy in Saudi Arabia, Saudi embassy in Iran, they're also going to begin a trade partnership in a technology partnership while respecting quote the principle of non interference in the internal affairs of state. So the Saudis are not going to try to foment dissent in Iran and the Iranians are agreeing not to do the same in Saudi Arabia. Now this deal was brokered by China, apparently with some help of Oman and one or two other of the Arab kingdoms, but the meanings that led to this were held in Beijing and there was a so called I'm now looking at it here joint trilateral statement by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China.

China Accuses US of Aggression
"So as I explained in the last segment, our policies and behavior towards China has been anything much confrontational. In fact, it has been quite soft and cowardly. One of the biggest things that we did was just send 100 to 200 more troops to Taiwan. When I reported on that last week on my showtime, was someone wrote into me and said, I think you got that number wrong. And I said, no, I didn't. It's 100 to 200. So hardly anything to write home to mom about, but nevertheless, China is accusing us of aggression. And I was providing some examples of the many ways that China is the aggressor in the United States and towards other foreign powers. But back to what I was discussing, I was mentioning that in 2022, the Justice Department found and charged several Chinese Communist Party affiliates for planning to violently attack a U.S. House of representative candidate for New York's tenth congressional district named Jiang Yang. He is a Chinese American and during his campaign. He spoke out very harshly against the CCP and against communism and again these Chinese affiliates tried to target him and assassinate him and luckily it was uncovered, but just yet another example of China's aggression. I also mentioned that they have opened several overseas police stations around the world, including one in New York City. Chinese officials have said that this is necessary to provide quote unquote vital services for Chinese citizens living in the United States, but isn't that what an embassy does?

There have long been suspicions Russia or another country may have been using some form of directed energy to target Americans. "Let's just look at the situation on Capitol Hill. This was a catastrophic failure of security by the capitol police. Totally. And the police in the District of Columbia who were responsible for the security of the capitol, but it's the capitol police are responsible for the security of that building. The Speaker of the House, the sergeant at arms in both chambers and the architect of the capitol. I used to run this when I was the chief counsel and staff director of the Senate rules committee. I had jurisdiction over the capitol police and all the security. The fact that they were unprepared knowing that there were going to be a half a million people who were going to be asked to march to the capitol in peaceably demonstrate shows that they were woefully unprepared. Now, when you're unprepared and you lose the advantage as a law enforcement organization, the one thing that you do not do is you do not become bull Connor and you do not start brandishing weapons on people who are unarmed. This is a big mistake. It is a catastrophic security failure on Capitol Hill, which never should have occurred. They were totally unprepared. That's called making the news as it's happening. Interactive Brokers Launches Crypto Trading in Hong Kong
"Zach. You got our first story. What's up? Yeah, I do. Let's go to Hong Kong. We're going to talk about interactive brokers setting up a institutional offering over in Hong Kong. This is rolling out Bitcoin and eth trading to professional investors over in Hong Kong. And I think it really speaks to the shifting geographical landscape, especially in Asia where the mood around crypto is a little bit less dour than it is over here in North America. Obviously with these recent SEC actions, the mood in American crypto is a bit dark. That said, over in Hong Kong, we're seeing an institutional product roll out in addition to some other interesting developments relating to retail. So a couple of things to talk about, I think Hong Kong obviously has been maybe making a play for some of its former glory as a kind of one of the original Asian crypto capitals. Boss a little bit of that shine to Singapore. But even beyond that, you know, Korea, Japan, there's still a lot of excitement in those markets all over in the west, things are a bit bleak. So again, let's go to Hong Kong, talk about the situation there. Definitely a very important part of the crypto ecosystem. And it has been for quite a while. A lot of trading firms set up there. A lot of different legal entities running out of Hong Kong. Hasn't really been in the spotlight the last few years that a lot of eyes have been on the United States or Western Europe. That's where a lot of developers have been. That's where a lot of the action has been. Obviously, we are living in a new regulatory regime with crypto as well as Zach was just mentioning the SEC stuff. So I think people are going to start looking internationally and I think Hong Kong is a strong contender for where people might look towards because it has strong government that has clear rule of law and there's a lot of capital there,

Three times as many people evacuated. On small little private boats. On little boats and destroyers. And the courage of the Royal Navy and the British merchants. So it was success so much that Churchill immediately said wars are not won by evacuations. Even though he would manage to save the British expeditionary. And two divisions of French soldiers. He didn't hide it. He didn't hide it. What Biden did was the greatest military performed the greatest military disaster. Since the surrender of the Philippines. And then even the evacuation from Vietnam. That was not a moment of pride for the United States. Even though we had stepped away from combat operations for about two years, to see the American embassy flooded with desperate people. Clinging to the skids of helicopters to get away from communists, and then to see this. Someone who has always, and I've seen him in my military life. "On this week's AP religion roundup, Pope Francis says homosexuality is a sin, but not a crime. Protests against coran desecrations erupt across the Middle East, and a group of young Jewish rescuers are remembered on Holocaust remembrance day. In an interview with The Associated Press, Pope Francis criticized laws that criminalize homosexuality as unjust. Francis acknowledged that Catholic bishops in some parts of the world still support laws that criminalize homosexuality or discriminate against the LGBTQ community. He said bishops in particular need to undergo a process of change, recognizing the dignity of everyone. Although the Pope's comments call for an end to criminalizing homosexuality, the Vatican still considers the act of homosexuality a sin. Protests were held Friday in several predominantly Muslim countries to denounce the recent desecration of Islam's holy book the Quran by far right activists in Sweden and the Netherlands. In Tehran scores of worshipers burn the Swedish flag enchanted slogans after Friday prayers. Earlier this month, a far right activist staged a protest outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, where he burned the Quran. Days later, the leader of a far right movement in the Netherlands, Tor pages out of a Quran near the Dutch parliament. The moves angered millions of Muslims around the world and triggered the protests. On Holocaust remembrance day, the underground zionist youth movement is remembered for helping Jewish refugees during World War II. Members in their 90s like Sarah Epstein recalled supplying refugees with food cards and forged documents. It also calls upon the international community to increase quotas for Afghan allies to accept more at risk Afghans for permanent resettlement and to expand programs like humanitarian parole. To generate more pathways for those in need. Third, as we find pathways forward for these individuals, we must not separate families. We must preserve them. Or at the very least create strict limits for the amount of time that families can be separated from family separation like mind generate irreparable harm. But clear and specific change to existing admission policies can ensure that other miners do not face the same fate that befell me and my family. Fourth, and this is the most important of them all. We must reestablish an international diplomat diplomatic presence in Afghanistan to hold Taliban accountable for their actions and provide counselor services to the people. It opens channel to address Taliban's actions rather than cutting off isolating and eliminating avenues for influence. And I have witnessed what engagement with the Taliban can look like firsthand. The negotiations that resulted in my release from captivity were the direct result of effective diplomacy with the Taliban on the world stage. Diplomats spoke to each other openly and resolved an issue of mutual concern. And while the success of these discussion is perhaps an anomaly, the kind of diplomacy demonstrated by my release can and should serve as a model for achieving other desired change for the future of Afghanistan, such as the restoration of girls education above grade 6 freedom of press, bolstering women's rights and most urgently increasing humanitarian assistance. At the same time, at the same time, or diplomacy can't be a blank check, the Taliban must live up to their end of the bargain to demonstrate that they are ready to engage in diplomacy as an actor that upholds basic human rights that ensure necessary freedoms and that does not take or hold hostages. At the end of the day the situation in Afghanistan is an extremely complex one. It can't be summed up in an 8 minute talk I wrote four days ago emerging from captivity. Yet there are tangible solutions and I'm in the privileged position of being able to advocate for them, but I'm here today to tell you that you are too. The truth of the matter is especially in the case of Afghanistan change has always and will continue to start with everyday people. This fall tens of thousands of people from around the world banded together at the grassroots level to aid Afghans in need. You don't need to be an expert to engage to volunteer to contribute to lobby to even simply welcome a refugee to advocate for them. As Margaret Mead once said, never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. On the afternoon of my release ten days ago, I at long last climbed out of my basement cell. And into the sunlight without anything binding my hands are covering my eyes. I could see the sky. I traveled out of the prison through Kabul city in corolla sedan. I passed the American embassy and arrived at Kabul international airport. I walked onto the tarmac, I climbed into the C 17, I shook hands with American Qatari and British diplomats. And suddenly I was a free man again. But again, I was one of the lucky ones. Ultimately being a captive reminded me of a time when I was helpless and needed a voice. Now that I'm released, I have my voice back and mercifully. It puts me in a position where I can advocate for that little boy with the Statue of Liberty patch on his unit, CR donated genes chasing the American Dream. I hope you'll join me. PRX.

"Wells. No. No. The driveways were too long. It was exhausting. My mom always thought that Halloween had become too americanised. So we were never allowed to do it. She disproved of American things because she mistrusted American cultural imperialism for in all ways. But we did discover when we were about 13 that the American embassy, which was in the suburb adjacent to ours would give out Halloween candy on Halloween, even before it became trendy with the rise of social media and people being able to be jealous of people in other countries. So you could go to the American embassy and get American sweets. But we would have to pretend that we weren't doing that because mom disapproved of Halloween. So it was like it was like people going out and then pulling their skirts shorter before getting to school, but we would go out and then slightly spook ourselves up. To trick or treat? The meaning of fear. This one house, just the one house, the American embassy, which would give you American sweets. Did you have a was there a minimum amount of effort into the costume that you had to make to get the sweets? No, absolutely not. They were Americans. I assume we all looked scary to them. I've come as an Australian child in springtime. We would come as twins, which we were. But not necessarily twins. Which we also were. As funny, isn't it? Not identical twins a lot less spooky. A lot less spooky. Much less spooky. What we would do is instead of speaking in unison, we would finish one another sentences, which is like speaking in unison, but no. Come play. With us forever and ever, it's more of an improv game, isn't it? That's not going to happen. And now it's time for our tech section. Helen's ultimate tell us about this camera hack news. This is from December 2019. Yeah, I mean, this is kind of a brilliant prank, but also really horrible one. A hacker took over the webcam of an 8 year old girl and told her that she was Santa is not even a webcam, I think it's like the families like spy cam on their daughter. And you can hack into those. And he told her that he's her best friend, so very sad to be a gaslight in this way. He's going to give her trust issues later, which is the true horror. And he told her to smash up her room. I don't know that she did, like, but I suppose if there's the threat from Santa, you probably would, wouldn't you? Yeah, so Santa turns up says don't you want to be my best friend and by the way, smash up your room? Yeah, what we found out she's a bad kid because she didn't do it. No presence for her from hacker Santa. Well John Luke, does this make you mistrust baby monitors? Or does it make you mistrust Santa, or does it make you mistrust little girls? Yes. Yes, two or three. Well, baby monitors. I'm fine with baby monsters, what is one thing high-tech baby monitors? That's probably where the trouble is. I mean, putting in a seat. And then and then the company who made them said, oh no, there's no security issue here. It seems a bit like Les a security issue there. I was more thinking about who was because they still don't know who did it..

"A quarter of a century, the 10 story U. S embassy was bathed by an invisible searchlight of low level microwaves. It was known as the Moscow signal. But most of those working inside knew nothing about it. The fact that the signal was there was highly classified and was only known to a few of us an embassy management. One of the few in the know was Jack Matt Locke, who is number two at the embassy between 1974 and 1978. It was classified, I guess for several reasons. Well, we were trying to figure out just what might be its purpose. Eventually, though, after decades of being kept in the dark The rest of the embassy were told. Oh, yes, yes, we finally after we reached a certain point and particularly 11, senior member of the staff was showing early signs of leukemia. We thought we really had to address it. First of all, we needed to brief the staff on it, and that calls something like panic among some of our members. There was intense concern over the health effects. Although never any proof of harm, and low level microwaves are not considered dangerous. The signal was also not believed to be a weapon. Rather, it was linked to surveillance. One theory was that microwaves were being used to activate bugs hidden within the embassy or somehow extract other signals. But Jack Matt Locke thought it might actually be the Soviets trying to block American interception equipment up on the roof. An American Embassy spokesman in Moscow said today that U. S Ambassador Walter Stessel Feels fine and added that reports to the contrary or inaccurate and misleading. The Boston many who served in Moscow believed the State Department resisted acknowledging any health risks. That concern would be echoed decades later. After a brief lull when Havana syndrome seemed relatively isolated incident. Cases began to spread around the world. The State Department has evacuated several American staffers from a consulate in China after they came Beatrice COLUMN is a scientist who has long research the health effects of microwaves. "Centrum in the move from their current call it that My apologies to havana recently. It was reported that vice president kamala harris had her she had. She's doing an overseas trip and it was briefly delayed. Just like there was a pause. It was like a couple hours so not a big incident in the grand scheme of things for the vice president but the reason that it was delayed is a little more interesting. There were some what were reported as anomalous health incidents that occurred in hanoi which is where she was headed from singapore and so because of these incidents they pause the trip decided there was no concern for the vice president or any per staff. It did not affect anyone associated with the vice president and so she continued on her trip But because of that havana syndrome was putting the news and trending. And now here. we are Because i had no idea what it was. I'd never heard of it. I never heard of the phrase so it only dates back to twenty sixteen. That's why i feel. It feels weird to me that i'm not aware of this because it has all happened in recent years and there was a lot of i think media coverage of it initially. Perhaps it seems like so in twenty sixteen. There was a diplomat at the american embassy in cuba. Who had an odd health incident. Okay it occurred when she was actually in her home. Not in the embassy itself but in her home there in havana and she was standing in her kitchen and she began to experience. This severe headache and pressure in her head. A lot of these descriptions will sound like waves of pressure She didn't think much of it tried to a headache. I'll sleep it off But the next morning it was still there and she also began to have some memory issues some vertigo balance type issues. Some trouble walking and like sort of processing information like she. She mentioned she couldn't read a cereal box that morning. Like the back of cereal box. Oh these sorts of nonspecific. You know very Upsetting symptoms but not really pointing to one specific thing. The symptoms persisted. But she didn't tell anybody at first because she didn't she liked her job she gets home An but she would eventually learned that she was not alone because around the same time period. Three cia officers in cuba would have similar symptoms It and this is all towards the end of two thousand sixteen and into twenty seventeen And they would send a couple of people would go back to the us. And they sent a couple replacements. A officers who also had these symptoms right Many tended to describe this in a in a similar sort of progression. You have some sort of pressure. Like i said some people said it was like oh like waves pressure in your head or just an intense pressure in your head but Many said that right before that started. They also had a like an auditory symptom. Meaning they heard something. They heard a very strange sound. And the sound was described. Sometimes like machine like like a grinding type of of course sound a rough sound other people described it. like a buzzing like cicadas. It was compared to like a bunch of crickets or cicadas or something like that. several times. that horrible bird. You showed me what does that sound like psychotic machine that does sound machine gun like what was it called the shoe bill shoe bill or.

And i said tanya what was that and she said now they know that night we were outside the building talking to all the other people who were there the rest of the intelligence and everyone else who gathered and we heard the barricade being pulled apart and we thought. Oh no the barricade is being destroyed and women running to see what was happening but it wasn't that the whole barricade was being destroyed. Boris yeltsin was writing in on his tank to give his historic speech about democracy and about the future of russia and he came in and he was applauded and everyone was thrilled and he stood on the parliament steps and began. Saying i speak to you today. Under the banner of russia and coast an russia nudged each other and said it's our banner our flag the third day the third day we got up and we decided to go up to smolensk near the american embassy. Because that was the place where three people had been killed the night before the only casualties of this unfolding drama and when we got there it was such a russian scene. There were flower strewn on the ground. There were old women crying. There were people talking about the nature of tragedy and we were all standing around and suddenly a young man came running up. He had a tweet cap clutched in his hand. And why rimmed glasses. And he looked like one thousand nine hundred nineteen revolutionary or like the student in checkoff play and he said. Hurry up at once their tanks approaching the outer barricade. We have to go and defend the outer barricade. Well there had been tanks endlessly approaching and they hit always just parked across the street and we walked up to the outer barricade quite far away in fact parliament building and we range ourselves in front of it holding hands and two minutes later. A column of tanks rolled up and they stopped about three feet away from us and it was still the cold war and i had grown up thinking that there was nothing more frightening in the world than a soviet tank coming up to you and the soldier.
