And I will tell you Wolf having been here now. I want to go to cut number 11 Joy Reid on MSNBC. This is ah Mussolini Moment, Donald, But I want to go to cut number 12 Chris Cuomo on CNN. He didn't just walk into the White House. One time with no Mass Tonight he had his video crew capture that stupid seeing again so he could put out propaganda fronting ally to his people once again, just like Don't worry about the Mass Now, he says, Don't worry about cold. They don't want to control your life. Just propaganda. That's all it is. I know this sounds, but I'm not going to play for you. Why should I? How much do you need in your life? All right, I'm going to play one more cut number 13 Don lemon on CNN. It was surprising to me that when this happened that A lot of people said I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe he is covert. I think he's faking it. I think he's going to do whatever you can to try to win the presidency. I am, you know. I'm not that cynical. I'm a cynic, but I'm not that cynical. There's also no proof I've been faking it in the opposite seems to have the proposed There's no proof of any of it because he won't let the doctors give the America Rubio. That's A montage of clips, but it's representative of the weekend for itself. I mean people to the center watching at this point, the country's become so segmented that The only people watching that our people, that is a matter of fact. And the other thing they don't tell you in the lab. Hope isn't something that this is about Grating, simple as that, and and these networks have figured out That, you know, you become crazy in one direction and you're gonna you're gonna have an audience that you can charge advertisers for it. I mean it and then, but what? It's doing great damage to journalism. What happens now is it doesn't matter what the networks report on anything. Half the people won't believe him because they think they're liars and they won't listen to him. So it leaves us vulnerable. And ultimately, the dismissiveness. There's no news reporting really anymore. I mean, there is, I guess not No. One Really putting it out. There is not getting all the attention. It's all about establishing narrative. This is what I want the narrative to be, and then you collect facts that support your narrative. You are the ones that don't and that's what you promote and at least the rating. And you charged people for advertising. That's what all this is show business. That's what cable news is turned into. For more on that conversation, go to town hall review dot com..

I was struck Peggy by the cynicism of the answer. It's a correct answer. But he's the attorney general he didn't make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that. Yeah this is. This is a political job when history looks back on this decision. How do you think it will be written well histories written by the winners? So it's largely depends on whose writing the history but I think a fair history would say it was. It was a good decision because it it upheld the rule of law it help at it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice and Undid. What was an injustice totally our contacts? Okay so let's get on with my story of the day. A glimpse of postponed pandemic politics is from our hunt. An opinion contributor at the hill this was written on. May Have Two thousand twenty. The political impact will extend beyond November in shape American politics for the CBO future with the economic and social fabric of shake shaken more than any time since the great depression or World War. The short term will be shaped by the outcome of the November. Election is trump wins. He owns the Republican Party a vindication of his nationalistic vindictive exclusionary brand of populism wash reading some corporate large. S. So generously bestowed these past three years. Even if he loses the trump ran will continue to resonate with the rank and file less vitriolic. Republicans like former South Carolina Governor and United Nations ambassador. Nikki Haley or Florida Senator Marco. Rubio will try to walk. A delicate line embracing trump as while steering clear of his most vile elements like racist now. Republicans are going to be accused of being racist. So I mean being mean. That's going to be clear that Not to mention I disagree with those choices. Not necessarily. I'm Nikki Haley. S. shut down parts of the economy only parts pretty or most of the parts the majority of parts I think have been shut down of the economy and in fact does have America Rubio of Florida the Republican was on the television this morning shortly after the these tragic record breaking up unemployment numbers came out and he said that he believes that the real number the actual number is much higher than this but that it is difficult to get a handle on the real number right now if the actual number of people are laid off temporarily perhaps more than temporarily people that have been let go but businesses going under and so on and this is of course a calamity that will outlast the virus at least based on the time line that we we have accepted I suppose regarding the vice I was right now the the economic chaos will will go on and on and recovering from this after president trump building the most amazing economy honestly I mean that's that's not just political rhetoric building most amazing a condominium in modern times and it's it's important to keep another thing or two and sure well get mine cut taken these things into consideration you know the the stock market the Dow Jones industrials at twenty something thousand when Barack Obama left office that was at eighteen thousand and with all of this chaos of losing ten thousand points on the Dow Jones industrials we we're still above right now where we were when when Barack Obama left office of rock Obama were still in office and we that Dow Jones where we're at eighteen thousand when all of this started where would it where would we be now if Hillary Clinton had been elected god forbid and **** going to the White House when all of this happened do you think that the economy would have been able to sustain this I suspect not and certainly the other stock market wouldn't have skyrocketed under Hillary would have done nothing of the kind and we wouldn't have had this this ball for this question this gigantic question that allowed us to sustain of ten thousand point hit on the Dow Jones industrials and to still be at about where Barack Obama we're right now a couple thousand points above where Barack Obama left it and honestly if Hillary Clinton had been in office I I hesitate to guess where the country would be now but it's not in any event this is of course affecting all of our lives every hour of every day it's it's pretty wacky as I said yesterday when I was signing up this is a test not only of everyone's character of our personal character of our integrity and and what kind of people we are but it is it's also a test of our marriages and our relationships with our families because a lot of people are at home really for the first time in a long time houses are spending a lot more time together many more hours together and I'm I'm sure for the most part everything is harmonious it certainly is in my household and and and the kids of course stayed home to care kids are not at school kids are home from college the kids the kids the kids and everybody is underfoot I think is a word that people use to use and and suddenly everybody's at home for long periods of time with each other so it's a test of our family ties that binds a test of marriage is a test of all kinds of things it's also a test of bank accounts for for an awful lot of people many many tens of millions if not a couple of hundred million people it's a test of bank accounts and and so on now is not bad news for everybody we're talking about this yesterday therefore you know that Democrats are going to Adam Schiff once in a moment what a what a one of which is what it's like all those boys but we're talking about here we're trying to find what you know for whom it exactly is this good news there's there's that crazy thing that we're going for and that really the only one I was able to come up with quickly was that the I'm thinking that the television producers are very happy the television producers on the show my six hundred pound life I think of the six hundred pound life show there this is probably causes the gravy train for them this is going to be this is the the fat stuff for that my six hundred pound life now that process I got a brother in San Diego's perhaps you know he's a news reporter there and the Pacific Ocean as close this is the the Grand Canyon is closed I was hearing on the news this morning what is it in Delaware the Atlantic Ocean as close very close closer getting response my six hundred pound life they the the the major portions of the Atlantic Ocean or close the the Pacific Ocean close the Grand Canyon is closed and it's not because of a government shutdown so it's not trump's fault but it but it is it is this is just crazy it's the craziest thing anybody's ever state apparently deployed the Grand Canyon tested positive pulled everybody's out everybody's gone up because of the dread Wuhan read death and it is it's it's extraordinary odd there's chaos on Wall Street the unemployment records shattering unemployment numbers shattering records we now yesterday what we had more than a thousand Americans die from the Wuhan read that we're now at more than five thousand is that the number is five thousand one hundred thirty seven we have more than two hundred thousand two hundred sixteen thousand infected R. and that means that the Democrats Adam Schiff see this as a golden opportunity to create chaos great conflict anger and division and polarization and rage and that's of course the role of the Democrats in our culture and Adam Schiff was yesterday announced that he's calling for a nine eleven style commission of September eleventh style commission ill call it independently he doesn't want independence to investigate president trump but not that Congress or the the permanent bureaucracy and president trump's response to the Wuhan read death he didn't shut down travel to Europe quickly enough because you know that that are these people and Devin Nunez is calling about it no I had yesterday conversation with someone that I know that lives in in Georgetown in Washington DC said they had been out and about a little bit walking and showing and and and going around Georgetown and said that a number of storefronts in George town have been boarded up this is you know because of Tony Georgetown expensive houses old houses down by the river and but close to close to many things and it's a fancy neighborhood for the fans to people right and and a lot of storefronts Wisconsin Avenue and M. street lot of storefronts I was told were boarded up and and this person said and I think that they're boarded up not because they've gone out of business but in preparation for that shut down at least temporarily at least maybe being the key words boarded up in Georgetown in anticipation of what this person said would be civil unrest civil unrest and I said well isn't that fascinating so I went I did a little research on this and it turns out there are storefronts all over Washington DC over the fourteenth street corner she controlled the up and coming you know gentrifying neighborhood lots of lots of hip restaurants and bars and and shop fees and things and and lots of and I went and I found a a Washington post doctor evil's little press was a doctor a doctor evil post pace I know what exactly is in the Washington Street times that's wish this call every newspaper The Washington Street times because they're all the same damn thing anyway it's it makes no difference pick up one pick up the other but it turns out that lots of store owners have opted to just go there hurricane route and get plywood or particle board and drill what do your metal frames and and board up your place in anticipation of the wheels really coming off in society and with that last month it turns out that the that background check database for firearms for purchasing guns broke a record we're breaking records all over the place and here's another one the next system the instant background check system for buying firearms shattered their all time record last month and I've been talking about this I have friends in particular one friend to I've been a lifelong Democrat liberal friend who lives in the New York metropolitan area with his family and got the car and fled with his family and you know the dog and and the whole thing to get the kids and the wife and flee to go to another state altogether called me on the way and said what kind of shot got do I want to buy and give advice on this he was eventually able to find a short cut but they're in short supply a lot of things are hard to find and you know this is this is this this can't go on forever and ever talking about friend Jeff yesterday already so you know we we if we wait too long nobody's gonna have a job to go back to you can't put the jobs on hold for this kind of period of time and expect everyone to just start up again as though nothing happened as though we just took a vacation for a long weekend or or something and in the meantime there are a lot of other things going on as well but I mean I do want to get the gun sales in the store fronts and and what what are the Democrats doing calling for another investigation of the president because because they don't care about human life Adam Schiff doesn't care about American lives he doesn't care about human life he cares about he cares about creating a Lynch mob to go after that his enemy that's not all trump added that Russian collusion is a obviously a pathological liar not a couple of hundred million people it's a test of bank accounts and and so on to now is not bad news for everybody we're talking about this yesterday therefore you know that Democrats are going to Adam Schiff once in a moment what a what a one of which is what it's like all those boys but we're talking about here we're trying to find what you know for whom it exactly is this good news this this that crazy thing that we're going for and that really the only one I was able to come up with quickly was that the I'm thinking that the television producers are very happy the television producers on the show my six hundred pound life I think it's a six hundred pound life show there this is probably not since the gravy train for them this is going to be this is the the fat stuff for that my six hundred pound life now that process I got a brother in San Diego's perhaps you know he's a news reporter there and the Pacific Ocean is close this is the the Grand Canyon is closed I was hearing on the news this morning what is that in Delaware the Atlantic Ocean it's close very close closer getting response my six hundred pound life they that that that major portions of the Atlantic Ocean or close the the Pacific Ocean close the Grand Canyon is closed and it's not because of a government shutdown so it's not trump's fault but but it is it is this is just crazy it's the craziest thing anybody's ever seen apparently a ploy the Grand Canyon tested positive boom everybody's out everybody's gone up because of the dread Wuhan read death and it is it's it's extraordinary odd there's chaos on Wall Street the unemployment records shattering unemployment over shattering records we now yesterday what we had more than a thousand Americans die from the Wuhan red death we're now at more than five thousand is that that number is five thousand one hundred thirty seven we have more than two hundred thousand two hundred sixteen thousand infected R. and that means that the Democrats Adam Schiff I see this as a golden opportunity true great chaos to create conflict it's great anger and division and polarization and rage and that's of course the role of the Democrats in our culture and Adam Schiff was yesterday announced that he's calling for a nine eleven style commission of September eleventh style commission the ill call it independently he doesn't want independence to investigate president trump but not that Congress or the the permanent bureaucracy and president trump's response to the Wuhan read death he didn't shut down travel to Europe quickly enough because you know that that are these people and Devin Nunez is our calling about it no I had yesterday conversation with us some of that I know that lives in in Georgetown in Washington DC said they had been out and about a little bit walking and showing and and and going around Georgetown and said that a number of storefronts in George town have been boarded up this is you know course sort of Tony Georgetown expensive houses old houses down by the river and but close to close to many things and it's a fancy neighborhood for the fans to people right and and a lot of storefronts Wisconsin Avenue and M. street lot of storefronts I was told were boarded up and and this person said and I think that they're boarded up not because they've gone out of business but in preparation for they've shut down at least temporarily at least maybe being the key words boarded up in Georgetown in anticipation of what this person said would be civil unrest civil unrest and I said well isn't that fascinating so I went I did a little research on this and it turns out there are storefronts all over Washington DC over the fourteenth street corner she could carry up and coming you know gentrifying neighborhood lots of lots of hip restaurants and bars and and shop please and thanks and and lots of and I went and I found out Washington post doctor evil's little press was a doctor a doctor evil post pace I'm not exactly as in the Washington Street times that's what she does call every newspaper The Washington Street times because they're all the same damn thing anyway it's it makes no difference pick up one pick up the other but it turns out that lots of store owners have opted to just go there hurricane route and get plywood or particle board and drove it to your the metal frames and and board up your place in anticipation of the wheels really coming off in society and with that last month it turns out that the that background check database for firearms for purchasing guns broke a record we're breaking records all over the place and here's another one the next system the instant background check system for buying firearms shattered their all time record last month and I've been talking about this I have friends in particular one friend there I've been a lifelong Democrat live a friend who lives in the New York metropolitan area with his family and got the car and fled with his family and you know the dog and and also get the kids and the wife and flee to go to another state all together called me on the way and said what kind of shot got do I want to buy and give advice on this he was eventually able to find a short cut but they're in short supply a lot of things are hard to find and you know this is this is this this can't go on forever and ever talking about friend Jeff yesterday already so you know we we if we wait too long nobody's gonna have a job to go back to you can't put the jobs on hold for this kind of period of time and expect everyone to just start up again as though nothing happened as though we just took a vacation for a long weekend or or something and in the meantime there are a lot of other things going on as well but I mean I do want to get the gun sales in the store fronts and and what what are the Democrats doing calling for another investigation of the president because because they don't care about human life Adam Schiff doesn't care about American lives he doesn't care about human life he cares about he cares about creating a Lynch mob to go after that his enemy that's not all trump added that Russian collusion is a obviously a pathological liar anybody that doesn't know that doesn't have two brain cells to rub together the guy get went on the air every day hour after hour day after day year after year saying that he had the secret proof of Russian collusion and he was lying every hour of every day and.

"Said but you know it's important said no no no and then that was it that's that's it he's done with that is handled as media crisis that was his media crisis right there I got one question and one brief follow up from Jake tapper about his tweet telling everybody to go to the movies with it New York City which is not a hot spot of the world I think is not you know if you can't get the corona virus there you can't get anywhere it's New York New York good Thursday Q. and welcome we're at eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five and so many things have you know this the the news cycle is not what it used to be it's pretty crazy out there we did get the unemployment numbers this morning and they're tragic and catastrophic and record breaking a record six point six four eight million Americans applied for unemployment benefits last week and they are better the news media this was as the Wall Street journal marking a sharp downturn in the labor market caused by the new corona virus large number of claims comes after a three point three million unemployment number last two weeks ago all right after the U. S. shut down parts of the economy only parts pretty well most of the parts the majority of parts I think I've been shut down of the economy and in fact does have America Rubio of Florida the Republican was on the television this morning shortly after the these tragic record breaking of unemployment numbers came out and he said that he believes that the real number the actual number is much higher than this but that it is difficult to get a handle on the real number right now if the actual number of people are laid off temporarily perhaps more than temporarily people that have been let go but businesses going under and so on and this is of course a calamity that will outlast the virus at at least based on the time line that we we have I've accepted I suppose regarding the virus right now the the economic chaos will will go on and on and recovering from this after president trump building the most amazing economy honestly I mean that's that's not just political rhetoric building most amazing academy and in modern times and it's it's important to keep another thing or two into wealth get mine cut taken these things into consideration you know the the stock market the Dow Jones industrials at twenty something thousand when Barack Obama left office that was at eighteen thousand and with all of this chaos of losing ten thousand points on the Dow Jones industrials we we're still above right now where we were when when Barack Obama left office if Barack Obama were still in office and we that Dow Jones work we're at eighteen thousand when all of this started where would it where would we be now if Hillary Clinton had been elected god forbid and she had been in the White House when all of this happened do you think that the economy would have been able to sustain this I suspect not and certainly the other stock market wouldn't have skyrocketed under Hillary would have done nothing of the kind and we wouldn't have had this this ball for this question this gigantic cushion that allowed us to sustain a ten thousand point hit on the Dow Jones industrials and the still be at about where Barack Obama we're right now a couple thousand points above where Barack Obama left it and honestly if Hillary Clinton had been in office I I hesitate to guess where the country would be now but in not in any event this is of course affecting all of our lives every hour of every day it's a it's pretty wacky as I said yesterday when I was signing off this is a test not only of everyone's character of our personal character of our integrity and and what kind of people we are but it is it's also a test of our marriages and our relationships with our families because a lot of people are at home really for the first time in a long time spouses I was spending a lot more time together many more hours together and I'm I'm sure for the most part everything is harmonious it certainly is in my household and and and the kids of course stayed home to care kids are not at school kids are home from college the kids the kids the kids and everybody is underfoot I think it's a word that people use to use and and suddenly everybody's at home for long periods of time with each other so it's a test of of family ties that binds a test of marriage is a test of all kinds of things it's also a test of bank accounts for for an awful lot of people many many tens of millions if not a couple of hundred million people it's a test of of bank accounts and and so on now is not bad news for everybody we're talking about this yesterday therefore you know that Democrats "Sunday you're not turning back time this weekend I know you're springing forward word we're turning the clocks forward but I don't think we had a song that pertain to that but the point is we go through this exercise twice a year who is bring forward and fall back although these days when it don't we do this but it's like October to March so it's not even that long of a period it's not like it's everything it's like it's like for these small sample of months we live in this weird sort of altered time literally altered time zone where we pretend that time is different than it is and I know that right now we're supposed to be in standard time this which means this is like real time right this is normal time and when we spring forward over the weekend we will be in what's called daylight savings time which is an alternate reality to what were we in the time space continuum was there didn't get data or or pick card actually break this down for us as they're actually a different universe are we on the battle bridge right now the point is we're about to do daylight savings time and there's a big movement right now there there has been a movement for many years to just do away with this thing that it's ridiculous why do we keep doing this it is a it harkens back to a forgotten era a different time in our lives when we were fighting a war and it was an energy consumption thing it was supposed to be good for business and it's good for tourism and but whatever reasons it is I don't care but they did it so done let's just not do this anymore this daylight savings time this year that was very interesting because people are very very specific about America Rubio put this out on Twitter he's like he wants to do this let's get it done let's do it nationwide he says let spring forward to daylight savings time and then lock it in so in other words let's let's go through the motions of doing the fake pretend the time thing and then never changed back basically no more fallback will spring forward right now and that will never fall back which of course I want to know when I get my our back because I count on that extra hour of sleep man all summer long and like coming it's coming it's coming to get that extra hour of sleep I get I want it well I never get fat I will die without ever getting that our back fence terrified maybe I'll have to move to like Chicago.

"This is a live election night coverage from KQED news I'm Scott Shafer memories August and we are here to uncover these results tonight we are we got a lot of results to go through actually not that many there weren't that many hot races I have to say you know we were so busy looking at that what was going on across the country tonight the fascinating resurgence for Joe Biden and he's doing pretty well here tonight in California definitely gonna come away with quite a few delegates we're going to go to is David you ready to go all right David Shu is on the line with us San Francisco assembly man and he is the with the Warren campaign and due to I'm imagining that the if you're in the warrants warrant camp tonight you're a little disappointed it was a it was a tough night but this research only isn't over yet and we'll see how things go so what does that mean it's not yeah I mean not over for who everyone I mean do you stay on the right you know everyone but that also includes an S. R. Warren yeah yeah I was with this and last night in east LA and she gave this incredible speech about experience immigrant Latina janitor workers organizing it and exciting things global corporate powers are trying to shut them down and she she told the story about how they were severely beat down for its first foray and this I think that sums up but I feel like I'm wondering if that might be better off with this campaign we'll see how the camp that's so I'm assuming she this is Marie Salada goes you know we saw Elizabeth Warren give probably her strongest to debate performances in the last couple debates really going after Mike Bloomberg there is kind of a sense that she might be thinking that you know if I if if I'm going down you might be coming with me I mean what we're talking to other folks who who have been supporting the senator were they feeling more energized coming out of those and and how much do you think just what happened in South Carolina really change the game I mean they're not heard about a debate she literally devastated Mike Bloomberg and and unfortunately a lot of the folks I had already been cast and that of our caucus which is where the debate was happening botched up but she was able to to translate that to enormous fundraising strength in the month of February she raised twenty nine million dollars which is more than she had raised in in court during this election cycle and she still got the resources to keep competing what do you think I've been we've seen David sure we've seen moderates call us around Joe Biden I Michael Bloomberg is reassessing his path forward do you think there will be pressure on her to do the same for Bernie Sanders it to in order to stave off Joe Biden or do you feel based on what you know about her is she in this to just you know if you have to stay she said repeatedly in recent days that she's been there to stay and and and I believe that she is the one candidate who actually has a shot at unifying the different wings of the Democratic Party she obviously can speak to the progressive wing of the Democratic Party but her message resonates much more broadly around anti corruption and around proposed wealth tax and she is in many polls everyone's number two choice so you know obviously see what happens in the coming weeks and months but she is someone who can really pull folks together and it remains to be seen whether other major candidates who have obviously done well tonight whether they can do that as well just to be clear are you saying that if there were a brokered convention it at that as it were that she would be the consensus candidate if nobody goes to Milwaukee with the majority of the delegates I think that is I think that's one possible scenario given how competitive this race is given how you still have another strong candidates in that race it is a real possibility we could see a perfect match all right David to California state assemblyman from San here thanks so much David really appreciate it have a good night thanks for joining us now is going to Mars a radi from the California politics team guy you have been covering some of the interesting legislative races around the state and give us some context here I mean there are a few seats that are open what what was the dynamic you're looking at right so so far it looks like it's still pays in many cases to have an R. next your name I've been following some primaries around the state with open Senate seat in which you're releasing a crowded field of Democrats and all in a lot of these primaries at least in early results we're seeing some little known and little funded Republicans looking like they might be able to advance into the top two again this is a a nature of of very blue districts here in California where the competitive primaries are really things we see between Democrats and in many of these cases you often seen labor and business split I covered the state Senate race in in San Jose the fifteenth district and that was the case there between your compost and Dave Cortez Cortez the leading and early results there but in other places we really seen Republicans at least in early returns look like just basically off the off the back of having our next their name may and let them know yeah I mean those are because of this like the dems are likely to hold on to right so this is the you know the seventh Senate district which these plays are holds out in the East Bay and this he had a really competitive challenge America Rubio U. S. yeah you organizer progressive unless we get out from his left former delegate for Bernie Sanders but instead it looks like I'm a little funded Republican is actually right there far ahead of Rubio and looks to be headed to the general election and I want to find him here because there is one I'm at fifty seventh assembly district down in Whittier southeast LA where it's all Democrats and these are two of political dynasties maybe newer political dynasties in California but we have Lisa Calder and she's actually the step mother of the current office holder Ian the wife of the former state senator Charles Calderon she's running against Sylvia Rubio who's the younger sister I'm not one but two members of the state legislature Blanca rubia was assemblywoman as state senator Susan Rubio we thought I mean that is a race where these are two Democrats like how's it looking in and what are the dynamics and that kind of rain right again an incredible family few tons of money most money spent in that district of any in the state in terms of independent expenditures but yet who is winning are currently leading that race is Jessica Martinez a substitute teacher Republican who've spent no money during this campaign but I think again that goes to in in these are smaller districts if candidates don't have a lot of ideas can be just be party preference they get them votes but again this will be something for that second spot really whoever gets that second part is going to win in November between ruby on Calderon and this is again going to be a real divide between unions who have backed calls around and business groups especially oil independent expenditures from oil which has been the the most expensive independent expenditure group in this primary backing ruby on this rather than open US Senate district seat of the thirteenth there will be open because cherry hill is termed out a lot of people running in that one where you sing tonight right so that was perhaps the most crowded field of Democrats again early returns as the Republican Alex blew a local engineer who's made unsuccessful runs in the past for local offices leading that race Josh Becker and is leading among the Democrats and I came in has about eighteen percent of the vote he was one of the few Democrats in the race who doesn't come from local government he really won the endorsement primary endorsed by Gavin Newsom comelec Harris has had strong ties out through his foundation to a lot of folks and sacrifice Sacramento it's really right now between him and Shelley Mays or who's a redwood city councilwoman again this is a very blue district and it will likely be whichever Democrat ends up in the general election will win this but there will be a few Democrats who spent a lot of money in this Mike brown ridge and you leave the local council members who will not make you might not make it to the general election and then finally gathers the fifth state Senate district in the Stockton area where the incumbent there Kathleen that exactly ani yell Johnny rather is turned out and there's Susan Eggman looking to move up from the assembly would you see there right and in this case once again we have a Republican leading in earlier turned a slightly better known Republican in this case is Jim right now the former mayor of Modesto and again here we saw split many great wall Modesto city councilman getting a lot of independent expenditure support from an oil super pac Susan Eggman much more labor aligned I think her name ID from serving time in the state assembly help Sir in this district and right now she's thirteen points ahead of great wall all right got ours rowdy from the cake you politics team thanks so much guys thank you and David binder this of course is a very blue state guy just describing some of the congressional district there where were there it is competitive among the Democrats and I put the stuff either one of you to give David or to see the you know this is as you're seeing you know some of these more moderate Democrats being challenged from the left Steve Glazer we talked about over the East Bay means that that anything new is anything interesting or is it just sort of like the mod dams you know trying to get one of theirs you're either in or out up in Sacramento no is it is a I'm going battle I don't think we've seen in the change and that kind of dynamic that's been occurring now for cycle after cycle in especially in districts that are safe democratic districts in which you do find a kind of a labor left candidate running it's more of a moderate business candidate in those sorts of struggles I I think you're going to continue for quite awhile and you know the the turn out in the top of the ticket may make a difference in in those races in which we have D. running against the in November in some of those assembly races another state legislative races let me ask you guys about this a couple of other congressional races that were keeping an eye on here we talked about the twenty fifth and the fiftieth but I want to ask you about of the twenty first congressional district which is in the Central Valley that is another one of those was the last race in the country to be declared a winner TJ **** knocking off David all day of the Republican there and that district he's widely TJ **** the Democrat widely thought to be one of the most if not the most vulnerable Democrat and you know tonight and again this is about about thirty five thirty six percent of the vote precinct vote being counted but TJ **** with thirty four percent David validate with fifty six percent of isn't mother couple of minor candidates in there as well you know it's not unusual for in the primary the Democrat you know to to lose and then they come back with a bigger turn out in November but when you think of that margin is that warning sign for T. J. **** I so I think you know validate has the benefit of talked about allows a good of a government cover being a former incumbent so he comes in with with that basically everybody knowing him knowing his name and I am pretty well like twenty three no parties and and even some Democrats are probably voted for him in the past and so I think it will be you know the most competitive rates in the state probably at the congressional level in the fall it but I think again it really is going to be the you're gonna have to forces at play you're going to have to one real income that one former government sort of well known folks coming up against the sort of democratic heavily democratic tilt I think the state might go sixty five percent you know for the democratic presidential nominee the question I think it was Joe Biden at the top of the ticket is TJ **** have a better chance of keeping that seed of Bernie Sanders is the nominee maybe validator has a better chance means that's what some of the pundits are saying now and I know we could debate that back way to Europe yeah hi I don't think he's a real district is heavily Latino and Democrats have an advantage there and Latinos have I mean I think we're gonna see the examples bearing this out in this state that Sanders is probably gonna win them so I don't know I think you're right it could it by then that is super weak with Latinos are compared to him as well and some of the Latinos in the Central Valley or a little more conservative I wanted to maybe maybe this is a good question for David I mean we haven't really talked in depth about a huge portion of the electric over twenty five percent which are no party preference voters given the polling that you've done what do we know about how those folks are breaking because I think we tend to think of independence as just like swing voters but it seems like what the data shows is that a lot of a really do align with the party even if they don't claim it as their own that's absolutely true and it in it we found a major difference between sh both gender and age among that independent cohort of people we call in P. P.'s for no party preference men over fifty that register NPP's tend to lean Republican women under fifty that are in P. P.'s.

"Talking about Sanders talking about Bernie Sanders winning the state of California a jubilant atmosphere where he is at a watch party but also talking about the serious delegates that Sanders will get with the win the plurality of the vote here in California with tonight's big win I will say though because Sanders supporters were expecting another win in Texas and that one is going a little closer than expected with Joe Biden taking the lead in Texas tonight and having won several lot more than a half dozen other states so that has sort of knocked a bit of the wind out of Sanders sales this evening at least here in California so we'll see how it plays out tomorrow and how the other candidates did as well we had a couple who stepped down who are no longer running for president people to judge the former mayor of south bend Indiana and also any clubs or the senator from Minnesota who failed to really get much traction even in our own home state so we'll keep you updated on that here in California we've got some local races that were watching as well we'll have more for you coming up in just about ten fifteen minutes right here KCRW so many things to watch including the LA county district attorney's race where Jackie Lacey continues to lead with more than half the vote at this hour over her opponent they also talked about it's a just a moment ago George gas cone the former DA of San Francisco more coming up on KCRW right now ten forty this is live election night coverage from KQED news I'm Scott Shafer memories August and we are here to uncover these results tonight we are we got a lot of results to go through actually not that many there weren't that many hot races I have to say you know we were so busy looking at that what was going on across the country tonight the fascinating resurgence for Joe Biden and he's doing pretty well here tonight in California definitely gonna come away with quite a few delegates we're gonna go to is David you ready to go all right David Shu is on the line with us San Francisco assembly man and he is the with the Warren campaign and David chew up I'm I'm imagining that if you're in the warrants warrant camp tonight you're a little disappointed it was it was a tough night but this research only isn't over yet and we'll see how things go so what does that mean it's not yeah I mean not over for who everyone I mean do you stay in the race you know everyone but that also includes an art center warning yeah yeah I was with the center last night in east LA and she gave this incredible speech about experience immigrant between a janitor workers organizing it and exciting things global corporate powers are trying to shut them down and she she told the story about how they were severely Pete Gallagher S. first foray and decided to pick themselves up but I feel like you know wondering if that might be better off with this campaign also held at camp that's so I'm assuming she this is Marie Salada goes you know we saw Elizabeth Warren give probably her strongest to debate performances in the last couple debates really going after Mike Bloomberg there was kind of a sense that she might be thinking that you know if I if if I'm going down you might be coming with me I mean what what it talking to other folks who who have been supporting the senator were they feeling more energized coming out of those and and how much do you think just what happened in South Carolina really change the game let me know what I heard about a debate she literally devastated Mike Bloomberg and and unfortunately a lot of the folks I had already been cast and that of our caucus which is where the debate was happening botched up but she was able to to translate that to enormous fundraising strength in the month of February she raised twenty nine million dollars which is more of an art she had raised in in court during this election cycle and she's still got the resources to keep competing what do you think are you we've seen David sure we've seen moderates call us around Joe Biden my Michael Bloomberg is reassessing his path forward you do you think there will be pressure on her to do the same for Bernie Sanders it to in order to stave off Joe Biden or do you feel based on what you know about her is she in this to just you know she had to stay she said repeatedly in recent days that she's been there to stay and and and I believe that she is the one candidate who actually has a shot at unifying the different wings of the Democratic Party she obviously can speak to the progressive wing of the Democratic Party but her message resonates much more broadly around anti corruption around proposed wealth tax and she is in many polls everyone's number two choice so you know obviously see what happens in the coming weeks and months but she is someone who can really pull folks together and it remains to be seen whether other major candidates who have obviously done well tonight whether they can do that as well just to be clear are you saying that if there were a brokered convention it at that as it were that she would be the consensus candidate if nobody goes to Milwaukee with the majority of the delegates I think that is I think that's one possible scenario I mean given how competitive this race is given how you still have the numbers from candidates in that race it is a real possibility we could see for architecture all right David shoot California state assemblyman from San here thanks so much David really appreciate it have a good night thanks and joining us now is going to Mars a radi from the California politics team guy you have been covering some of the interesting legislative races around the state and give us some context here I mean there are a few seats that are open what what was the dynamic you're looking at right so so far it looks like it's still pays in many cases to have an R. next your name I've been following some primaries around the state with open Senate seat in which you're releasing a crowded field of Democrats and all in a lot of these primaries at least in early results we're seeing some little known and little funded Republicans looking like they might be able to advance into the top two again this is a a nature of of very blue districts here in California where the competitive primaries are really things we see between Democrats and in many of these cases you often seen labor and business split I covered the state Senate race in in San Jose the fifteenth district and that was the case there between nor compost and Dave Cortez Cortez the leading and early results there but in other places we really seen Republicans at least early returns look like just basically off the off the back of having our next their name may and let them know yeah I mean those are but those are just like the dems are likely to hold on to right so this is you know that seventy Senate district which the players are holds out in the East Bay and this he had a really competitive challenge America Rubio U. S. yeah you organizer progressive on his lap we getting out from his left former delegate for Bernie Sanders but instead it looks like I'm a little funded Republican is actually right there far ahead of Rubio and looks to be headed to the general election and I went and I went to find him here because there is one I'm at fifty seventh assembly district down in Whittier southeast LA where it's all Democrats and these are two of political dynasties maybe newer political dynasties in California but we have Lisa Calder and she's actually the step mother of the current office holder Ian the wife of the former state senator Charles Calderon she's running against Sylvia Rubio who's the younger sister I'm not one but two members of the state legislature Blanca rubia was assemblywoman as state senator Susan Rubio we thought I mean that is a race where these are two Democrats like how's it looking in and what are the dynamics and that kind of rain right again in incredible family few tons of money most money spend that district of any in the state in terms of independent expenditures but yet who is winning are currently leading that race is Jessica Martinez a substitute teacher Republican who've spent no money during this campaign but I think again that goes to in in these are smaller districts if candidates don't have a lot of ideas can be just the party preference they get them votes but again this will be something for that second spot really whoever gets that second part is going to win in November between Rubio and Calderon and this is again going to be a real divide between unions who have back to call their own and business groups especially oil independent expenditures from oil which is been the the most expensive independent expenditure group in this primary backing ruby on this rather than open US Senate district seat of the thirteenth there will be open because cherry hill is termed out a lot of people running in now one where you sing tonight right so that was perhaps the most crowded field of Democrats again early returns as the Republican Alex blew a local engineer who's made unsuccessful runs in the past for local offices leading that race Josh Becker and is leading among the Democrats and I came in has about eighteen percent of the vote he was one of the few Democrats in that race who doesn't come from local government he really won the endorsement primary endorsed by Gavin Newsom comelec Harris has had strong ties through his foundation to a lot of folks and sacrifice Sacramento it's really right now between him and Shelley Mays or who's a redwood city councilwoman again this is a very blue district and it will likely be whichever Democrat and up in the general election will win this but there will be a few Democrats who spent a lot of money in this Mike brown ridge and you leave the local council members who will not make you might not make it to the general election and then finally gathers the fifth state Senate district in the Stockton area where the incumbent there Kathleen exactly ani yell Johnny rather is turned out and there's Susan Eggman looking to move up from the assembly what you see there right in this case once again we have a Republican leading in early returns are slightly better known Republican in this case is Jim right now the former mayor of Modesto and again here we saw split many great wall Modesto city councilman getting a lot of independent expenditure support from an oil super pac Susan Eggman much more labor aligned I think her name ID from serving time in the state assembly help Sir in this district and right now she's thirteen points ahead of breakwall Bahraich ours radi from the KC politics team thanks so much guys thank you and David binder.

"Obviously today marks the eighteenth anniversary toes were to call it an anniversary of it nine eleven here to talk about that and. score of foreign policy issues a senator Marco Rubio Republican of Florida senator Rubio thanks much for your time Sir. so why don't we begin with obviously some some thoughts on nine eleven since it is the eighteenth anniversary do you think that America has forgotten some of the lessons of nine eleven what were those lessons and what should we remember from that day. well I think it's there is clearly a time goes on after any incident sort of the shock of the moment wears off and that's why it's important to commemorate every year so. those of us who live through it remember time number what it felt like to feel so vulnerable it it's an event there early in the find the last eighteen years if you look at our foreign policy has been largely defined by it I would stay up until twenty sixteen to twenty seventeen our foreign policy was largely one aimed at counter terror less than that is generally up I do want to ask you you know a little bit about about that I mean it seems like there's this rift opening up it was already between right and left now seems to be opening up on the right about whether we ought to re focus our foreign policy away from a sort of interventionist stop there before they get here foreign policy and toward a more reactive quasi isolationist foreign policy do you see that same rift appearing here or do you think that's overstated. yeah you know that's not necessarily new although I think Sir Jane Moore currency and Republican circles as well but I think there's a more interesting development and that is a transition that's occurring from sort of a counterterrorism focus foreign policy to one more focused on great power competition but the chain increasing between the United States and China which is not like the Cold War but it's more similar to it in the sense that you do now have for the first time since the end of the Cold War a nation state that's a mere peer competitor and then that we have to gear our foreign policy towards obviously there are elements of counter terrorism that is still alive I can tell you that there are multiple terrorist groups around the world they continue to plan plot and try to inspire attacks against the United States including here in the homeland and not threat remains but it's now coupled with this sort of new challenge that we face from China on a number of French that that I think you're gonna end of defining the century well let's talk about that because you had an article in The Washington Post in up in the Washington post that a week ago talking about China and Hong Kong and what our position should be on China the United States in this weird position where China owns a lot of our debt we we trade a lot with China at the same time China is incredibly aggressive on the world stage with their belt and road program with their with their pursuit of five G. what should America's policy toward China look like given the fact that we may in fact be an unstated Cold War that we refuse to acknowledge. so as I think it's the that's a fundamental question foreign policy today and my argument has been this is not about containing China or in any way that you have thought about what they think it is it bed bath how they do it I think it's about re balance in our relationship we have a dangerous and balanced developing in our relationship primarily because we have allowed them to frankly cheat when it comes to trade and commerce because we view them as emerging are about developing country that once they became wealthy and more like us would behave more like us and it didn't work out that way and in the process we have figured out that now they are and not trying to find some some of the key industries that will define the twenty first century Hong Kong is interesting because in the case of Hong Kong irrespective of of sort of a broader China policy that I'm talking about. Hong Kong it enjoys special status like when you see these terrorists that are applying for example the product of the China they don't apply to things that come out of Hong Kong because they are a time that that's what the Chinese pledged when the handover happened and what they are slowly trying to do is is your road that economy and and the latest effort was the extradition but where they can actually actually like people from Hong Kong and the mainland to stand trial and so they can't have it both ways you can enjoy the benefits of Hong Kong's economy but at the same time that the here to it and so much of anything out that's when the rooms are secure and the other frankly is but we can't impose democracy and frankly there are nations that that are out of state and their development or what have you learned that that can actually bring that about at this moment but wherever there is democracy and wherever in the world people speak I'm in favor of the principle that our nation was founded on we should support them sometime that supported moral support sometimes of all the support that doesn't actually I mean there's gonna be an invasion I'm going to go to war with China but there are things we need to do and one of them is our hope past my bill which requires the state department every year to answer the question is Hong Kong store Thomas because of it isn't then why did they can then what is trying to get to enjoy the benefits of out of town yes can reveal what exactly the ramifications if we were to recognize that Hong Kong is no longer a time as any the the withdrawal of of the British in the nineteen nineties from Hong Kong and turn over of the territory to the Chinese with certain guarantees that that the brit that would basically be allowed to function in a timely fashion obviously that has been encroached upon increasingly it appears and Chinese governments in continuing crouch on that what tools as America have at our disposal to thwart the efforts of the Chinese and expanding their power influence and aggression. well you know I'm gonna very useful place for them demo business operations there for purposes of of not impacted if they're in the company faces restrictions for export of products or services from China but they don't face them when a talk on the street of the separate nation for that purpose and so is the I think the biggest application of the that even the companies on Hong Kong would not be treated as they were they located the mainland of China and that's particularly important to do if in fact the Chinese now control the political life in Hong Kong and and so I think that's why would be justified if it ever reach that point well it's a really I'm gonna change topics briefly just ask your brief opinion on the ouster of John Bolton over at the White House what do you make of that is that there seems to be a couple different stories one is that it was just a personality clash the other is that there were serious ideological clashes inside the administration it seems you know sort of like a black box over there impossible to tell what exactly went down what what do you hope when I what do you think went on. well I'm I'm a guy I think that there are some ideological differences between the president and and and ambassador Bolton but. that's probably true over half of all the people work around them as well I think the I think the bigger issue from what I take it that there was a lot of internal friction around it and something must have happened conjunction with the department of the post Taliban meeting and then cancellation that ultimately was the final straw press reports are they have to do with leaking I don't know any of that hit the bottom line is John Bolton is employee and that and of of the executive branch Montana confirm it works for the president and works at the works for the president of the workforce I like John Bolton a lot I work well with him very closely with him we share a lot of use and and common and so forth and I thought at least certainly from the things I believe in it did a very good job but you know he himself is probably not going to be there much longer anyway news looking to probably and at the end so we would be facing this one way or the other and and look at the NBA the president has a right to have people working form that having trouble to be the first one to say any other right to have someone in that position that he wants in that position can be effective as a national security by the president it's no longer trusting your judgment or listening to you for whatever reason personal ideological of both so I don't know the forties I'm not privy to it now now you know someone else will be serving in that role and we hope it'll be some real good we're speaking with center America Rubio of Florida center review one to ask about that that proposed Taliban meeting in Afghanistan what do you think Afghan policy should look like going forward obviously there's this vast debate over whether we should try to cut a deal with the Taliban or whether we should just write down some of our troops there without trying to cut a deal with the tell them what do you think that should look like. well I think it's important for number one remember why we were there in the first place and that is that when the Taliban last role that country they provided a safe haven for terror organizations to plot to attack the the the place from which the nine eleven attacks originated words Afghanistan under the protection auspices of the Taliban hosted our pride and so we need to ask ourselves whether returning to that is in America's national interest because I can assure you that if whether it's al Qaeda or any of its successor groups were to establish a foothold in Afghanistan the number one target in the world to them once they would be the United States of America the the drawdown question if people like to debate the numbers all the time the issue about the drawdown of this you do reach a point in which you don't have enough people to even defend themselves so that that that's why the number there matters as far as negotiating with the Taliban is concerned yeah. bitter pill to swallow the number one their ideology of anti American spent the radical I'm not in favor of an endless war that's not what I want I don't want a presence to be there forever I think we have to balance that with if we were what would the world look like if we were completely withdraw and within a number of weeks or months the Taliban took over and it's my view that what what a lot of what it would look like it will once again be a safe haven an operating space for radical elements to now be able to target us that that that has been the history of terrorism they look for safe operating spaces from which they can conduct attacks against the United States and by the way there are no hot spots emerging on that front now Sir Bob in Africa is is has external plotting ambitions now the Philippines has become a hot spot for ISIS activity with our license was able to do when they took advantage of of the vacuum that was created in and Syria when out of people took place I just didn't start we had nothing to do with the revolt against Assad but they took advantage of that to create an operating space for them and we just need to be cognizant that these radical Sunni groups are constantly looking for operating safe operating space. attack America. center ruby I really appreciate your time and your insight really thank you again and I will check in with you soon Sir. I thank you from me on well coming up on any talk of representative Dan Crenshaw who obviously is a long time and navy seal about nine eleven and its legacy but first let's talk about how you actually make sure the your memories your family members are preserved the best way to do this with is with something called legacy box so you got your garage he got a bunch of film yeah bunch tapes there are more during and falling apart and every time you go out there you realize if there's a fire or flood these things are gone and not only that I'm have to sweat boxes it instead of that take all that stuff you ship it off to legacy box they digitize of worry they'll put on a CD the prime DVD or to put on a thumb drive for you save your family films and photos from degrading or being lost for ever they will send you easy to follow instructions with safety bar codes included for every items you're never gonna lose.

"Nine smart of you watching fox nation if you're watching fox nation and fox news you certainly know my next guest is Tommy Larry back with us he's got a brand new book out to day called never play dead how the truth makes you unstoppable tabi welcome officially got to be excited I'm very excited it's been a long time coming now what what made you think to yourself I gotta get a book out there well there's a lot of story that I needed to tell that people had never heard before so I know that you're a little bit familiar with my pre font days and I was at another network and it didn't end so well it was a little bloody and a little bit of a battle for me but I chose to not play dead and to fight and now I'm I'm here so stand your ground works it back to me I know you before that in San Diego you with another network was at American one yeah one American news that's where I started out as twenty one years old I have my first show there so I had an incredible opportunity but as I write about in the book things are not always as they seem to there either so you know this business is a weird one what a pulling back the curtain a little bit and if you think the with your views were issued you your age being so young was an issue or do you think that your is it something else you know I am so grateful for the people there they gave me the opportunity but you know there's some things there that I write about in detail in the book that we just were not quite right so where is I'm never see myself as a victim I never try to waive that feminist flag there were some things are just didn't quite add up that I think need to be talked about and what do you think you have a good strategy for dealing with that because of the young people listening right now if they feel like they're being harassed at work or not given a fair shot how do you navigate that they'll have a course for that necessarily the life to life yeah I know it is I think that you need to evaluate where you are what you want to do and for me it was always about working hard staying in my lane keeping my head down and do what I had to do but it was a little anybody messed with me and I think once you set that precedent you're not to be messed with then people will treat you the way you demand they treat you and that's what I've done for my whole career is I'm gonna work as hard as I possibly can but I'm not gonna take crap from people where you learn that I think being a conservative kind of instilled that in us and I know for me just going through the battles of elementary school middle school high school college being conservative and having to fight even in South Dakota because the public school system is the public school system so I've been calm batting it since really I was in elementary school and things weren't quite adding up from my teachers and tell me what you're too conservative views come from I grew up in a very blue collar family so I think that that really lends itself the conservatism just working hard not asking for anything from anybody you know it's got age thing is a lot of people think it's just the opposite all those rich Republicans they don't understand the president's kind of re jigger things and what people understand the Republicans usually the blue collar family values down to earth not the wall Streeters when well there is no wall street Rapid City South Dakota I can tell you certain but no your either one my parents went to college they both worked very hard their entire life might I grew up on a ranch sort of my mom so I grew up with those values and and being in your agriculture state and also having parents and family members in agriculture you know you see what it takes you see hard working in you see faith family freedom and that's what I grew up with time we learn to renew book as call never play dead so you at this other network before Glenn Beck's network can we saw you there for a while out of people here with their and vice versa what happened well I went on a little show called the view and I express an opinion that it really wasn't favored by my network and in that I said I was pro choice because I believe in limited government and you know then everything kind of crashed in an and I went to try to go to work on Monday and do my hourlong shows a normally do and they called me and said you know your your shows over your fire don't come near the building then he proceeded to put caution tape around my dressing room and make a mockery of me go on radio and attack me when back in particular in particular and then tell me I can't say anything I can't suite I can't talk I can't make any comments but they were on radio all day long slandering slamming me and I just had to sit back and take it for a time how did you deal with it well at first I want to just resolve it peacefully because I just wanted to you know if I wasn't welcome there they want me there that's fine let's sever ties I can head out and do something else that's totally fine but said they want to play dirty with me and particularly and they want to my Facebook page it has four point six million followers not because it would have done anything for them they just wanted to delete it so that's how you know who you're dealing with when someone just purposely wants to ruin your career for the sake of being nasty so they don't want to pay you they don't on your contract and they want to neutralize you only want to pay me to go dark for six months they want to pay me to just sit in the corner not going Twitter not go on Facebook not do TV not do anything really essentially die for six months and that's where the title the book comes from how you handle it well I decided at that when push came to shove I was gonna have to get a lawsuit route is mostly to get that Facebook page back I mean I had built that really I built that following that fan base all the way back in people knew me from my final thoughts are posted there I mean my Colin Kaepernick video had seventy million views meant a lot to me and I was fine deleting or content because they owned it but they want to delete my whole page for no one rather reason other than let's just try to make it really difficult for her it was just too we were there some problems before the pro choice pro life big part of it was being pro trump more so than being pro choice they will really for trump well if you're familiar at all with going back you know he was the king of the never Trumper was and I had to change that yeah well they all change when you know things are changing for them but you know and the whole way every day I was really the only one of the network that time at least in Dallas that was pro trump and I took hits for that every single day I tickets for that there were people in the hallway people you know other people that work to the network that would talk about what a buffoon Donald Trump was in the trump supporters I mean they were almost as bad as is Hillary calling as a basket of the portables but I had to fight that fight every day being a trump supporter in the twenty sixteen election so would you in cities collecting a paycheck waiting six months and then re firing up your engine still young you got you a career for me the best days ahead he said I'm gonna pirate lower it's going to cost me money in order to get my freedom from here and to make a point especially to make a point because I wanted to show people that sometimes you can be out spend you can be out match you can take on something that seems like this Goliath but if the truth is on your side and if you truly have done nothing wrong and your intentions are good which my always were then you need to fight back because you need to show people that they can't take advantage of you and not goes beyond just my lawsuit that goes to kids in college that are conservatives that feel like they can't voice their opinion that goes to young women who are conservatives to the feminist no movement as cast them aside that goes really in every area of your life right and when you call back home to South Dakota like what if you got yourself involved into what's is controversy goods such as simple grape your life in South Dakota you didn't need all this the oldest combo complexity is what were your parents saying well my parents knew that you know for a young age and I was going to do something big and I've always wanted to do media so this wasn't a surprise but if they were even really surprised when I decided to you know I was gonna have to fight that was just a natural thing they'd raise me to be a fighter they raised me to demand a certain level of respect and I think the world needed to see me do that so that network the blaze has to merge to survive and what do they like now I don't know I you know I there's some great people that I met at the blaze that I will carry with me through my whole life as specifically people that worked on the crew people that work behind the scenes just great people who I also felt I had to be a voice for because there were so many people there most of them are gone at this point because they've been fired and you know I'm teens level of Laos that they've had but they were such good people there that I know were terrified to stand up and say the emperor has no clothes but I was the one in the building that was going to say the emperor has no clothes this is wrong and if it takes me to take this person down a peg then I it's gonna be me at twenty four years old so why is it this instructor change in a typical conservative you know he used to be a Democrat famously a lot of things about free trade international trade he was going against party doctrine for he was going against the war that by George Bush and seventy Democrats in the Senate voted for a seventy does centers voted for so a lot of things he was insulting other Democrats personally talking about other past Republican presidents negatively but yet you like so many others able to look past that why Tommy well initially I was America Rubio supporter because I thought he was our best shot against Hillary and I still like Marco Rubio but what really changed it for one what really was the turning point not only that he became our nominee but I started hearing my friends in law enforcement and particularly the military saying that's the guy we need they just saw right through it when I see law enforcement people are fighting for our country and my my boyfriend at the time and now gauge obviously to somebody else my boyfriend at the time was a navy seal and he was actually over in Iraq when this was all going down and he was saying trump is our guy that's who we all support that's we won as our commander in chief and when I hear people like that speaking like that about somebody that they really trashed it changed my whole opinion just now I want your opinion on this Marc Thiessen call rove you have you have so many other Republicans who were anti trump for a while we had of the cans in its which they just are open to it they'll call them out when they don't agree but for the most part they support the president Marco Rubio for example is a great one Sir rand Paul is another one you have all everybody including Ted Cruz now supporting him why is there a group they can make that change and others like George will bill Kristol Max boot this same conservatives and why are they unable to see the positives in trump any of the others say he's not perfect but he's good enough I think some people are threatened by trump and a lot of the pundits and a lot of the elected leaders who have been in this one for far too long they see somebody like trumpet threatens their existence because he is change the game and they don't like that because they know that that's really a shot at their relevancy it's a shot at their business as usual they don't like this guy because he doesn't play by their rules he plays by the rules that are going to advance the American people some people just don't like that for very selfish reason you know give me an example of only trump could have done with Brock a bomb couldn't and that's criminal justice reform being strong on crime tough on crime lawn order on the doctrine is pretty much conservatism however at this point looking back there is a lot of that zero tolerance that the latter Republicans felt as needed to be corrected within of the cars to do it so we cut a deal with the van Jones is the world he sat down with people and walked across you out and did this that would turn off a lot of traditional conservatives why did turn you off well again I still have some thoughts on colonel dresser from only because I live in California and I've seen what are filling friendly laws have done in that state so I'm I've been one of the conservatism very reticent to jump on that bandwagon a first step back and that don't you think that's fine no absolutely it's fine to do is speak something to say I can't agree with the president on that I think that's a thinking person's approach to what's going on in politics today I also don't like that.
