"Could be wrong though. She dropped out to fifty in the middle east to drop down to fifty. Yeah okay yeah. I mean look i. I think that people are starting to see that you know disney. Is this incredible. I'm just and on top of like we sat earlier in the podcast. She's amazing character on in the dr in the house just like everything about tiffany is a very well rounded player as well as a well rounded tv personality. So i think that again like we said even though she was dethroned she still has like a good. I don't know. I guess you could say just like a good obviously and here but this is a really good peak for her story particularly and i hope that they show this following the veto episode next week on with her just kinda rubbing it on the boy's face like well you guys said that the cowgirls don't do this to that like here we are. We're here to play. I think that that's going to be really the peak for her story. Hopefully not the full cake. You get what. I'm trying to say I feel like it's also like a it. Lines up with the inconsistency in her at it and how that she's been packaged to us. But i also think that You know with derek x out of the picture that his allies also get a boost And so. I think that that makes a lot of sense. Why you know the three people that get one hundred dollars are the people that were closely aligned with their axe. Okay so sarabeth comes in and sarah tells us well hold on. I still have the coin destiny to place for. Because if i open the envelope and get one hundred dollars and then if america sends me one hundred dollars i could play in the coin of destiny and america center. One hundred fifty bucks. Oh no man she and she gets one hundred from the envelope show she. Oh she just that she just used short just fifty two. She's fifty extra dollars for america. America please can you give her that. Fifty dollars i see america can wipe their own therapath. Oh no american right their butler. Jeez yeah that's not gonna work out of quote to it's just and the thing too. Is that like. It's not only because let's be. Let's be real she. It's not like that line prevented her from getting fifty dollars from america. She was not making fifty dollars america but she said that line while she was playing in the veto competition last week. The veto competition that she did not need to win to accomplish her goal. Even though her goal was bad she could have easily taken the hundred dollars from that veto competition. Ooh and been able to afford the coin of destiny this week but instead she was so dedicated to this bad moved. She was making that she needed to make sure the derek x left even though literally every person playing would've used the veto either on xavier or claire would have used it on herself and derek x would have gone up anyway he would have gone home anyway. He decided to play for it. She lost and did not take those bucks and this week Just another mistake to add to the list. Sorry sarabeth okay all right. Let's go to Derek f who has gotten baby box at every turn but Tiffany told derek f to skip it now. Interestingly he goes to the high rollers room and he. This time only gets seventy five bbb box jenny. I mean there's there's been the discussion about aged. What like what happened here. He was getting so much money. And suddenly there a derek gone. There's there's a the derek f versus acts troopers out there. One of them might be on this panel here so i do think that you know certainly like there must have been some people who were voting wrong. But i do wonder if flight derek x might have been just like so far out in front and derek f might have been either you know second or third but like all of the other houseguests. Were much closer in the rankings and just the popularity of derek x and his allies just pulled other people. He didn't go down to fifty. Obviously where people that were like. Some people were still voting for derek f. But i could have gone down to fifty though. Like i mean i guess would have had to. Yeah after after he got the hundred the first two weeks the edit has been so gung ho about me and the thing about this how this vote works as well. Is that each subsequent week. It's easier and easier to get into the top three because there are fewer people in the how and on top of that. It's not just that it's like now. It's three of the nine players in the house. Eleven but also the other two top players brittany and derek have been evicted one after another from the first top three there now to empty spots that can fill dare big d guy that was already in. There has extra room to to be in the top three and yet now falls out of it entirely. I mean i say it's all on the. Nsa we. I.

"Twitter at Jimbo talks as Jackie Quinn reports the president is vowing to avenge the deadly attacks in Afghanistan that have killed at least 13. U. S troops and dozens of Afghan citizens. President Biden was visibly moved by the carnage in Kabul where U. S troops and Afghan civilians were killed in a suicide bomb attack. Tough day He blames the group Isis K, and vows to avenge the deaths. We will hunt you down. Make you pay, saying there's no sign at this point the Taliban was involved. Biden says he takes responsibility for the losses during the efforts to evacuate Americans and says that mission will go forward. We will not be deterred by terrorists, repeating that former President Trump negotiated the terms of the US withdrawal, and then Biden doesn't want to restart the war. Time to end a 20 year war Jackie Quinn Washington. So we'll talk about that this evening with your calls at 18665, Jimbo 1866554626. And with Gil Barn, Dollar fellow at Defence Priorities and the military fellow in residence at the Catholic University of America Center for the Study of Statesmanship. Good evening, Gil. Good evening. How are you, Jim? Your reaction to the events of the day. Tragic, You know, Ultimately, I think this is this is what losing a war looks like and there'll be an investigation will figure out exactly how this went down. But But this is just a sad final note to our to our war in Afghanistan. I think it's the largest loss of life, not counting helicopters. You take helicopters off the table. This is the largest single American military loss of life in war in Afghanistan. I think I believe that In fact that figure is is correct. Uh, We, of course to asserting said, put ourselves in a position where we almost had to depend on the Taliban to provide security at the airport. And while I think the president is correct that there is no proof that the Taliban had anything to do with the attack. It certainly would not be above them again. Uh, we have to keep in mind, of course, that while Isis K and Al Qaeda and the Taliban all hate the United States, but they are all rivals. For power in Afghanistan as well, despite the fact that the Taliban may have the upper hand at the moment, and so it's hard to know exactly whether or not that there is any plausible deniability and what the Taliban is saying, isn't there? Yeah, Look, I mean, it's there's always a chance of something, but but certainly. Historically, the Taliban and Isis k have been bitter enemies. Um, you know, the type of majority of this big guy killed in Afghanistan were killed the hands of the Taliban. Probably not us. That kind of nasty back and forth war in eastern Afghanistan has been going on for a few years and the you know the majority of fighters and I sk Obviously, these folks didn't appear out of nowhere. These are mostly Taliban defectors. People who Dr Calvin was insufficiently introduced the militant or insufficiently pious and war. You know, they've received more money from my escape, so there's no love lost there. That doesn't totally preclude the possibility that the Taliban Permit it is or had some role in it, but I think the the smart money is that wasn't the case. Know that the factions fragments of these groups come and go all the time. I must confess it until the recent days I have not heard of Isis K on the the spectrum of I guess, militant Islam, are they as far extreme as you get more so than, uh, Your garden variety isis more so than al Qaeda, more so than the Taliban. Yeah, I would put them, you know, as part of a kind of a franchise of the larger Islamic state name or operation, you know, I don't think Don't think they received much guidance or support and so from what's left of the Islamic state that you know, sprang out of the Levant sprang out of Iraq and Syria. Um you know, that group is increasingly hunted. And you know, my daddy was obviously killed by US forces a while back and all the rest of it. But no, they're known for being like the the original Isis in in Iraq and Syria, known to be extremely brutal for for, you know, exemplary brutality in villages and areas they conquered. More so than than the Taliban or even Al Qaeda. I think in general President vows to hunt them down and make them pay. Have we at all compromised our ability to do that by our lack of, uh of troop presence in the area. Yes, of course. Look being you know totally from the I'm, an advocate of military withdrawal from Afghanistan. I think we should have left that country Six months after we got there. We did pretty much everything you need to do in the opening months of that campaign and talking out the Taliban and decimating Al Qaeda. Or certainly, even 10. Years ago, we could have declared victory and gone home after killing bin Laden. But all that being said Yes. Look, there's a cost you leave Afghanistan. You're going to give up assets and especially the way we laugh, which isn't uh, I'm not just not going to withdrawal, Although it has problems. I'm knocking more. The fact that the Taliban swept to power almost almost literally overnight, and in doing so, that really compromises what intelligence assets we had on the ground through the Afghan security forces. So we give up airfield. We give up some of that stuff. Um, I think that's a price. We're paying for getting out of America's longest overseas war and all the negative stuff that comes with that. But there is a counterterrorism costs certainly in the short term. To what extent? Do you think it was foreseeable? The collapse of this order? I think that a collapse of whatever length was entirely foreseeable. Maybe even The way to bet 11 days seemed a bit much given the millions of dollars that we had spent on the equipment training and the like. And I'm wondering what we have now, of course, after the fact we, the public Heard reports that Training was very difficult that in many cases we had to teach the Afghan soldiers how to read how to write how to count even to teach them colors..

Yours truly will team in the rest of the boys in the band getting it together at 7 30 on the Spartan Sports network. Okay, now Let's talk to my colleagues. Shall we get a little insight as to what's going on? Let me just say this. A pleasure, uh, working with the All America Center? No, the Hall of Famer George Blaha. Jason Strayhorn joins us now, Jason, How are you? Outstanding. How you doing? I'm all right. How is it working with Steve? You can tell us right now. Nobody but 20,000 people listening, right? Tell us, please give or take 20,000 work with your great. Okay, so, Yeah. So you got to check this week? Er, So he paid you this week. Okay. Okay. You know, Jason, there's a lot to discuss, obviously. And what a difference a year makes for head coach Mel Tucker. A year ago. Uh, smack dab in the middle of this stupid pandemic and coach didn't get a chance to spend a whole lot of time with this team. Next thing you know, October 25th we fire up the season. Or facsimile thereof. Uh, but we've got plenty of time to talk about that in the days ahead, Jace. I want to get your thoughts on exactly what's going on. With college football and how much the landscape is changing. We've got conference realignment, Obviously Texas Oklahoma bolting to the SEC. There is an alliance in the works with a big 10, the Pac 12. The EC. We've gotta transfer portal, which is not going to go away. There's a lot of stuff going on. Oh, and by the way, name, image and likeness. There's that to chase You can't get that, so there's a lot of moving parts. A lot of moving parts and you know the Special ism of amateur sports is of honest and I think the Conference consolidation to get to basically to Powerful conferences and the FCC and the rest of the world, uh, is upon us and the P A is just along for the ride holding on for dear life, In my opinion, you know, they lost the of the name, image and likeness. The court case. And so now players are able to capitalize, um, legally on their name image in like this, and when there's billions of dollars changing hands in the college football Network. I think that's the right thing to do in my opinion. But as you said, there's a ton of things going on. And it's just I think the evolution of sport, Steve so this is something that has been a long time coming. And now we're going to start seeing and it's moving a lot faster than we thought, in my opinion, as far as the conference is consolidating as they are right now, so it's gonna be exciting. Yeah, I don't know what's happening with this alliance because that press conference basically said nothing for three hours, just relying. We've got line, but they haven't figured out exactly how but Dave Wannstedt was on Fox a week ago. I may have been earlier this week. Whatever he said he heard that Kansas and Iowa State We're going to go to the big 10 and I was to other schools from the I thought. I forgot who was and I was going to pack 10 even though the Pac 12 or 10, whatever said they weren't taking anybody. But do you see that Pac 12? I mean, the big 12 breaking up in some of these schools being thrown in here and you see, like a big conference. Coming sometime soon. Sure the big 12 is on life support right now. They've been gutted with, uh, in Oklahoma and in Texas, the party as they have, and they already had lost Missouri. To the FCC. Um, Texas A and M is in the FCC. It's just a, uh, with the large amount of money that's still left on the television contract with ESPN. There's issues there. And they just don't have the horsepower People want to see. You know, a very good brand of football in the big 12 struggled with delivering that in recent years there very prolific in the offensive game. But it's attracting out there. And there's not a lot of defense, typically not saying there's not good defensive players that come from the big 12 Mr can sue. But there are very, very good players on offense, as you see, with several quarterbacks being taken year after year after year. Out of that conference, So, yeah. You know, the rumor has been about Kansas and Iowa State in the big 12 being left Because geographically it makes sense for the big 10. I also hear things, you know. I mean, you heard the U. S. B and Oregon rumors and things like that to defecting from the Pac 12 to enter the Big Ten's, You know, until they actually get those lawyers in the room and they can all agree and put pen to paper. It means nothing. A lot of everything else is just, you know. Wish list and talk until that happens, But I mean, hey, if it does, we welcome it and, uh, there's there's nothing left to do but embrace it. You cannot fight it. You can only hope to contain it. And I think we're going down that road. We'll go ahead and bring Kansas into the big 10. I think you've got a built in homecoming game. Serious. Well, you know, basketball. Whatever the case may be, Uh, Jace, you played very well in a different era. You know, back in your day. I'm talking to all America Center here if you weren't happy with your playing time. What did you do? You worked your dairy air off to try and get as much playing time as possible. Are you? And maybe to take it a step further. Players of year era. Little bit bewildered by the transfer portal. Or do you think There is a method of the madness. You know,.

Do you feel it was predictable that there would be a collapse of the size. That happened, particularly given the fact that the Afghan forces had up to that point fought rather bravely. Yeah, There's a couple of pieces to that. I would say that a collapse was wholly foreseeable. And I think I think any kind of smart analyst Um you know that was trying, to be honest will tell you that the collapse of the Afghan government was probably likely the only real there are people. They're smart people that thought they were going to hang on for a while with the big variable was time and I think there were very few people. I had one especially cynical veteran buddy who really thought it was going to be a matter of a couple of weeks. But but almost everybody I talk to, and readings and smart folks that don't have to try to be unbiased and do honest work. Would tell you they would have expected somewhere between Six months to a couple of years. You know, the best case scenario might have been what happened after the Soviets left when they're when they're proxy. Najibullah you know, he was in power for about three years until he was finally driven out, of course, eventually. Executed murdered by the Taliban, But, um But, yeah, I think I think people very few people expected it to happen this quickly they had they had fought well up to that point, Uh, the the government had certainly the the equipment and the size or the size of the Afghan army was certainly large enough and the the track record at that point. Was good the Taliban did not have..

Protesters rally across world to mark International Women's Day
"Women around the world took to the streets yesterday saying loudly and proudly this is my fights on March. Eighth is known as International Women's Day. You probably saw lots of bad ass. Women and their inspirational quotes highlighted on your INSTA- feed but a big point of the day is really to put a spotlight on women's rights and gender equality so a ton of women also turned out to protest from Chile. One of the largest demonstrations of the day where women protested violence against women to Paris where they protested. The quote. Virus of the Patriarch. No matter where you looked there was something to protest. Here's one protester in the UK. This country is much better than other countries around the world. But we're still not completely fine with like cheap. Despite you they are in Pakistan. Women again rallied around the slogan. My Body my choice. They're basically just trying to say women should be protected from sexual assault and should be able to make the reproductive and medical decisions that they think are best. This chant isn't new. It actually angered a lot of people in Pakistan last year. You See Pakistan has a pretty conservative country so that message of autonomy doesn't exactly fly in a sign of what these women's Day marches are up against when it comes to changing minds. They were met by crowds of counter protesters this year including people who threw stones shoes and mud at them in the capital of Islamabad. The backlash didn't keep the celebrations and protests from happening though. These protesters are calling on women to wake up. Meanwhile in Mexico City protesters spoke out against the increasing numbers of domestic violence victims last year. The government estimated that about thirty eight hundred Mexican women were killed. That's more than ten deaths every day. Many of them involve sexual assault. Those protests continued today. But they sounded more like this. That's right silence. Today is being called a quote day without us because women across the country just disappeared. Maria Fernanda Peres.
