"What we are you here Kristen again, congratulations on you being here first year in the Santa Fe market. Kristen gentry. Now, Kristen, had you applied in previous years? I actually had it. This was my very first time. So why? Just nailed it right off the bat. He just came in and just got it done. Yeah. Give you more props for that for sure. Now you mentioned earlier making sure you've got your photographs and your portfolios in order. What other tips and advice can you give other aspiring artists that dream of one day being an end in the market as well? Okay, for pretty much any market really, look at the application and you want to remove any type of technical reason to ever not be accepted. Poor quality, how you label your images, do it exactly, like house, why is this? Do your file names how they want them. Don't do things that are going to immediately eliminate you that has nothing to do with your quality of work. So then if you do get a denial, then you know, okay, I need to work harder on my work. It wasn't because I had more photographs or I didn't submit enough or I submitted the wrong kind or something. And have always have critique going, have a trusted mentor, have people that are going to encourage you to keep creating, keep pushing those ideas and helping you support your voice while you help support theirs. I also have to say images are so important because you have to think you have a plethora of judges and they are really going by what the images are that have been sent in. So the images are really like higher photographer, professional photographer to take images of your work. That's amber John speaking in again, joining us in Kristen talking about how hard it is to get into market and how excited she is to be here and all these big names that we're talking about who have their roots here in Indian market. Is it safe to say that to be a serious Native American artist today to be one of these top tier artists? Does an appearance at end in market? Is that like a must have on a resume? Does everybody pretty much at some point have to come to market? Do all roads lead to Indian market for indigenous artists? That's what I'm trying to say. All roads lead to swipe Indian market. Well, yes and no. When we look at indigenous arts, we're looking, we're looking at Canada and the United States. The presence of swaia isn't actually as large in Canada as we're definitely in a southwest bubble.

A big deal or no deal guys all right. I'll jump in. I will say it's a big deal for this reason. I i like debra messing very much. How ever debra messing knows that. Snl it's a ratings game. Kim kardashian brings ratings how well with like ten million twitter followers or whatever. The number is a. Maybe i'm here. Maybe it's twenty million. Twitter followers bottoms leads even more than that. Which is crazy. I mean listen charles. Barkley didn't have anything to promote michael jordan everything to promote peyton. Manning didn't have anything to promote not everybody has to be a movie star or a tv star or a musical act or a comedian. I mean sometimes. That's the fun of having these other types of people host. The show and kim kardashian can reach millions and millions and millions of people through twitter. And for me. It's a no brainer. If i booker on the show she's hosting seven issues. How many followers seventy million. Seventy million debra messing my girl. There's your answer. Yeah i mean it is a big deal. I'm not gonna watch. I've watched saturday night live very regularly in a long long time. There's an occasional. One that makes me feel like i should watch. I know i watched one of them during the pin when they came back from the pandemic right. I don't know something like that. I don't even. it was sort of the game. Chapelle one it was that that will. That's what it was. It was japan. That was the one. I watched right but it goes through a little. I watched the show that i completely forgot like which one it was. But i mean. It's kim kardashian for sure i love no. I guess not interesting. Don't you know. Oxygen list at the laura has adopted the clinton yates no oxygen lists so when clinton doesn't wanna talk about somebody he puts them on the no oxygen list and laura has completely adopted that yes. It's a hell of a way to describe it. I actually love him. Yeah dude. I love when clamp brought it up off. Glenn i'm gonna i. I feel like kim kardashian. Super interesting. And i don't i mean i mean i i don't mean hurt. She is interesting. I mean the fact that she's hosting saturday night live is interesting and i want to see what happens. Terrible like watching on the other day lindsay on lord. Don't be such a hater. We're still celebrate. I mean you have to admit it's interesting. When she says things like yesterday or the other day she was on ellen. Allen was showing pictures of her kid. Well if i could finish ellen was showing pictures of kim kardashian kid and she was wearing like this the the kid i think it was saint or north whatever his name was we're in this big huge chain and elderly. Oh that's so cute. He's running around with a big old fake chain. And kim made it a point to character and say would you say it's not fake. An alum was like what she was like. That's definitely not a fake chain almost like oh i just assumed it was because it's so huge you'd think it would just out his whole body it's gigantic chain and i just think for things like that it just. I think it's very interesting to watch. Kim kardashian because the fact that she had to make it a point to say that to me is by the way. I think you mentioned allen a quick shout out here. Shout out to my friend. Amber massacre from nbc la channel four. Who did a great interview with ellen. Just yesterday because ellen show is coming to an end and my friend. Amber meskher got the interview with ellen. And congratulations shout out to my girl. That's all just a shout out. Amber john miller data onto the next are will speaking of the kardashians kylie jenner and travis scott spent the weekend in houston with their daughter stormy and apparently they took her to the zoo. Pretty casual activity. That is now causing drama. Highly and travis forgiven. Vip treatment that included cutting lines and shutting down a carousel so they could write it privately. Which upset the other guest zoo. People claim that parts of the zuber even shut down for periods of time for kylie and travis at times to we know having making them wait or reroute visit. People are not happy about this. Is it a big deal or no deal. That kylie jenner and travis. Scott shut down part of the zoo during their visit kept one. I'm going to say that it is a big deal that they shut down part of the zoo. I could certainly understand why other patrons would be frustrated but the fact of the matter is is that. When you're that big of a celebrity it can be a security issue. And so look maybe maybe they should have waited until it was nighttime and they could have a private tour later at night or i don't really know what the answer is but i'll say this if it was the present the united states and they shut everything down people being convenience as well and they'd be pissed but it's the president now..

"And how qualifying has been his arch nemesis this season. I think there's only two races all year long that he started inside the top ten and watching once again. What he did in this race is just just reinforcement that. If brad bender could just simply figure out how to qualify well he would likely be doing the same exact things. We've seen out of miguel lavera before the break and miguel by the way was injured in this one. That's why he was really not that great all weekend long and brad proved it again. Today i mean he started sixteenth and he was ninth as late as lap. Sixteen in this race. And then he just comes blazing through the field in the final third getting by bo takenaka gami and johann zarco in the final few corners of the last lap to get an incredibly impressive fourth place. Finish after starting sixteen. They just need to figure out how to get him. On the first three rows of the grid and brad bender could make some big big waves over the second. Half of the season. Never talking nakagomi. Well i don't know maybe he's feeling a little bit of that. Pressure from iowa is increasingly more impressive performances. Emoto too but one way or the other taco was motivated and he was looking a lot more like he did in twenty twenty in this race then has so far in twenty twenty one and getting roughed up a bit by bender at the end was really his low misstep and talk a finally gets back into the top five for the first time since he res- was a really good race for him on the other end of the spectrum. I wanna talk about three writers who did little to help their chances on sunday. And they all happen to be on do kadi's starting with johann zarco who actually had a decent race and he was in a really good spot when jack miller went out to at least only finish one spot behind fabio quattro in this one but then he let to riders. Get by him in those final few corners on the last lap going from fourth to sixth. And you just you can't. You can't do that if you want to be in the championship against a guy who's been as fast as fabio quarrel has been all season long. You can't make those mistakes especially when you're chasing writer in the championship if you've got the buffer. Well okay you lost a couple of points. Come back the next day. You can kind of fix it. But here's arco is a good distance behind. He needs every single point he can get in those situations. You have to find a way to stay in front of two riders who you are better than and i know that's arguable. But based on the results we've seen the season zarko should have been able to best takenaka gami and brad bender instead. He lost out the both of them. That's really really bad way for him to end the race for petco back niamh. I mean when this first started before the red flag. He looked like he was going to be a contender and then he was simply flat in the second race. He never got anything going it all and he finished eleventh doing himself no favors. And then jack miller ma'am after leading the race early and then falling out of the podium spots. Jack was in the middle of a late race. Push to get by fabio coiro. Get back on the podium. Make up some points in the championship as well which would have been huge for himself. Amber johns arco too. Because it would have taken a couple of points away from coiro. And i really don't think showing mir would minded. That's so much either. But then he lost the front end in the stadium section with ten laps to go trying desperately to match the corner speed of the aha instead of being patient and relying on the dakotas real strength which was sectors one two and four. Don't try make it all happen in three if you don't got it in three right and instead of maybe getting on the podium or at least finishing fourth he missed out on at least thirteen points. Maybe even sixteen and because of that. He's now over seventy points out in the championship. He is perilously close to having his title. Bid for twenty twenty one come to an end as well before we finish up on the qadis by the way how about the droese finishing tenth in this race he got the last spot based on a track limits and fracture but still top ten for a guy who hasn't racing a couple of years. I think that's a good day. All things considered becoming background to. It wasn't a good day for them. Obviously they didn't accomplish what they set out to and yet she still had a smile on his face at the end of the day. Why is that well. Because i'm pretty damn sure. He was looking up at martine on the top. Step of that podium and thinking there's next factory rider that's the guy i'm going to go. Try to win a championship with if these other guys aren't going to step up for me. Because if mirrored one or even if somebody like johann zarco have one he was going to be pretty darn upset that his factory guys didn't step up to the challenge. But instead i think he was seeing the future up there and thinking you know what maybe not this year but maybe next year or the year after that because i got somebody. I can really really work with here so on the podium whore. Hey martine his first victory pray mac qadis first victory in modo. Gp and a fantastic display of talent from future contender show. Amir was second the ride height device and the result that came with it. I think definitely gives mir and suzuki a ton of forward momentum them running at the podium fabio quarrel he just keeps on going and this is just like a win for him in a champion like effort as well and in that championship while fabio of course still leads the way and he actually has a bigger lead believe it or not when he showed up in austria which is huge the margin now stands at forty points after johann arcos last lap. Struggles mirror gets couple back. He's now fifty one out while disappointing efforts for both factory riders. Lee petco back. Nine of fifty eight points. Back in jack. Miller wapping seventy two behind some more and more this fabio quattro arrows championship to lose..

"And now that they're experiencing they're loving it. I love it so we know who your population is. We know what the conversation is about what they want to achieve. Here's where the magic comes in keto share with us. What's your method of programming. Like what makes sense for them from number of days to links of workout. Maybe to sort what you're gonna throw in there in terms of strength training or cardio divvy your breakdown. Allow us one. Glimpse at the daily grill of catalina program. I my template. My very basic template tends to be very similar for most of the women that i work with and it's usually a minimum of three days of of strength training. There is a few that went to try for four or five days a week. And that's totally cool. But it's like you've got to commit to three. I don't care like the other two or three. Don't have that's fine. You gotta commit to three. And so that's like our bear s minimum as to amount of of strength training and each workout is usually around forty five minutes long. I try to stay away from a full hour just because sometimes just thinking about an hour of your day. Sounds very daunting but if it's a little bit less it just feels more doable. So i tend to say you know forty five minutes three times a week like this dot sound. That sounds pretty reasonable for most and we focus more on at home workouts. Just because you know they have a family. They're busy or with epidemic. Is their area closing down again. We don't know right so we're just sticking to homework out and making do that's the thing. I don't want you to go crazy and vile equipment that you don't necessarily know what to do with like even though i'm going to be coaching you throw it your need to go and spend all this extra money. Let's just make do with what you have. And so we. I teach them a lot about like grab a backpack and grab heavy books and just make sure is a twenty pounds rate. Because next week you're going to want it to be twenty five pounds in the week after like just like progressive overload. Inauthentic stuff just would sell that. We have around the house that is easily and readily available. Like it doesn't have to be expensive. It can be a practical and you can do it in your day wherever you are. There may makeshift show. How does your fight club fit into the training. We look for the best little to fight for. only the first pot slipped my mind. Just make sense jonathan. Do your proven carolina's answers if ernie of the sound like something reasonable. Hi amer we're gonna come straight to you because you're here while when we you got the dell out so is it also true that you work. With a specific population allow the online trading academy teaches. Is this mom's specifically ones that. Like mahatma okay. All right which. I've what makes it so easy for you to work with us in the pt dc. As mentors going smooth. I would feel uncomfortable agree every observation amber. John is riveted by the way putting conversation. So they're all very much so very much so this episode is everything he hoped to be. So what's your clients hill. Typically going to ask you to do for them and we're like what's simply their challenge today. The first thing they tell me. I really need to get my shit together. Like that. like the go-to phrase for all because they're all very smart capable women but they are just so overwhelmed with everything and they have this thing thinking they should be able to accomplish everything when there's just not enough hours in the day so they're wind to lose weight and sit in the at art maternity clothes anymore like a lot of them even like a year or further down. The line are still wearing maternity clothes because they don't fit into their regular clothes anymore. Right that makes sense. So slit shifted programming. Like you know what are your parameters. What's important to get your clients to the goal and fitted into their life. You know how many days you know strength training or cardio what he thought gives your parameters. Yeah i mean. I would say it's from a fitness program. Stamp is very boring because that's not the point for them. We don't need to be super creative. It's usually his body bodyweight workouts. And then i give them some backup options so if they don't get time away from the kids than there is a family friendly version of a workout. Touted incorporate their kids into it so they comes default back to that if they need to but most of the were honestly about like organizing their life and like getting their mindset right working on the nutrition and the workout stuff honest to god is super boring simple body weight stuff in that set because anything past that if they could do that consistently may be fine. They wouldn't need me but they can't even do that consistently so. The fitness programming is super basics restoring. Give them the option of. Do you want to do a little bit every day. Or do you want to focus on fewer amount of days but longer sessions and those are really their their options generally a love that i love that now and i wanna come back to kiddo. Because i didn't ask this question in amber prompted the question kettle variety or short trip to the goal line. Are your clients more so wanting to take the scenic route to grandma's house or they want to take the directly they gotta get to grandma's house as fast as they can or is it a mix of the two. It's i keep it interesting enough. Just enter just enough variety that they're engaged feeling like they're learning a new move here and there but honestly it's we stick to basics like are we pushing are we fooling are responding. Are we hinging like end. As long as i have like i play around what it's like basic and yeah it's over and over and over practice over and over and over again with some variety just enough so that they don't get bored but yeah i'm also super no frills at when it comes to our training like it has to be simple because otherwise he feels. It can feel overwhelming. That may cinch jonathan. I'm gonna ask you a question. It's not based on anything that we've discussed here so only can now predicated that way. It doesn't matter haven't been listening you know you've been known to go on record on the internet even instagram to talk about how most of what we see. Exercise wise on instagram colossal waste of time. In way outside of what's necessary to create any result. You know what are your thoughts about. How simple and online routine can be or should be to make it simple enough for the coach to not drive themselves crazy but also simple enough to create results for the client by. Do we need to work more in. Simplicity than a lot of people think that they do that. I did hear when i was paying attention for bits and pieces because we're talking really made sentences. I think what's what's most important is. Which all of you vocalized. I think probably which is which is that. You really understand your clients. New understand what they need. And and most general population clients optimizing the actual ins and outs of the programming. And the effectiveness of the actual programming is actually known what the client needs. It's figuring out a way to get them to want to do it and figuring out a way to build a schedule structure that gets them to do. It often. something that ben. Bruno said a couple which actually repeated on my instagram which is jonathan underscore goodman one zero one..
