"That is not scored a touchdown in the red zone and its last 7 trips to the red zone. A lot of discussion about the Patriots offense somehow it will have to make due tonight without its top and leading wide receiver. All right, we'll keep an eye on that. We'll keep an eye on you, Adam, a Monday night countdown at 6 right here on ESPN. Also, our game picks for this pat's cardinals game is coming. Each week here on NFL live, we help the league spotlight the high school coach of the week, the Arizona Cardinals have chosen scooter, molander, from E smart high school. During the state playoffs, his number two ranked firebirds defended their only regular season lost to number one ranked Thatcher high school by beating them 40 two to 21 winning the 2022 three Arizona state championship. Congratulations coach. You are the coach of the week. Hey, let's get back to the cowboys host in the Texans on Sunday. Honestly, kind of thought this game would be a snoozer, but turns out the Texans, maybe the cowboys too had other plans. Second quarter cowboys off in second and goal, Prescott, checking it down to Tony Pollard for the ten yard TV. Every time this dude touches the ball for their offense, something could happen. Great feet on the sidelines. Cowboys take the lead 14 to ten after a dac interception, Texans on the cowboys 28 yard line. Jeff Driscoll connecting deep to Amari Rogers 28 yard touchdown the Texas lead 2017 at the half. Mid third quarter cowboys trailing by three fourth and goal of the Texans one. See, stop short. Great job by this Houston, Texans defense in that series saying four plays in a row handed off. You're not getting in. Okay, another Prescott interception fourth and goal at the cowboys three. Up the middle. Stop short of the end zone. The cowboys take it over at their own two. Ensuing series. The cowboys are driving. What would they come up with first and ten the Texans 40 and Prescott deep to know a Brown for the 18 yard game? Cowboys first down less than a minute to go third and goal of the Texans two and Zeke Elliott rushes up the middle, so the cowboys escape 27 to 23, but man oh man, it wasn't without a cause. They eked out the wind, but this new one NFL live, our Jeremy Fowler reporting that right tackle Terence Steele tore his ACL for a source of the MRI revealed the damage that's not good ESPN cowboys in order Todd archer added that still also tore an MCL. Man, the loss of Terence steel significant blow to the cowboys offensive line. It's struggled in past protection this season. Guys, Dallas has the second worst past block win rate ahead of only the colts. However, there is something encouraging for Dallas 40 year old veteran Jason Peters stepped in for stealing the cowboys game winning drive yesterday. He played well, right? 8 time Pro Bowl left tackle tyron Smith could also be close to making his season debut. We were talking last week about how he was back at practice. But Mina Dax struggles, then they were able to kind of eke out the win there. What do you make of all this? Yeah, I mean, this isn't why they struggled entirely, but I'm beginning to get a be a little bit concerned about the injuries. In particular, because their injuries that are sort of clustering at certain positions, talk about offensive line in a second, but the Los Anthony Brown, not too long ago, one of the starting cornerbacks for the season. They had already lost Jordan Lewis before the season. In this game, you see the drop off with Calvin Joseph giving up a big play very early on. And then on the offensive line, you alluded to, you know, Terrence Steele going out. Josh bell comes in. He struggles, arguably, the biggest reason why one of the biggest reasons why they were able to put together that drive was Jason Peters coming in. Hopefully he can play that well in relief. This is going to be a problem as we look to the playoffs that teams like Philadelphia are ahead of the playoffs in December because those are teams that are capable of hunting mismatches. And when you lose players, there are more mismatches to be found at key positions. Yeah, I'm looking at this dak Prescott photo in our studio here. That was me watching the game just like head in the hands. It gave me a headache. Exactly. Well, Stephen a loved it. So Dan, let's take it on the field though yesterday. What are the tape show you about Dax struggles? That he's trying too hard? Because I would tell you that deck has been a guy that has always, for the most part, seen the field really well in cleanly and right now he's not. And it's in very simple things. You're going to see a three step concept day one install. We call this lion double slanted the bottom of the screen. The worst coverage for it is covered three 'cause that flat defender is already outside. In between the outside sling. You never throw the outside slant in that situation, but deck does. For some reason, then this bottom concept is stick up top you have a flat route and a stick route. That outside flat defenders the read. If he goes outside, you throw them high. Excuse me, lo, if you throw, goes, how you throw it low. I mean, that's a very simple first down read for dak all of a sudden, he holds onto the football. That's the fumble, the very next plays that interception that, in many ways, should have ended the game. And I don't know if it's he's pressing or trying to do too much because he knows the offensive line can not pass protected. It's just not a good past protecting unit. Does he feel the lack of production from the perimeter players that sometimes just the production goes down in games? It's really odd to see a guy that is a good player and that has had a strength of just seeing things with such clear vision seem to struggle with seeing very simple things. Yeah, for me, like watching this game a little bit, I was at a ten year volleyball game watching my daughter get busy, but in between, I was thinking it's just such an immature performance. And yeah, we can look at the Dallas cowboy defense and say, the Texans scored 23 points. This defense is to me watching the film is the reason they won the game. Standing up and boring they neck and a lot of situations where they had unfavorable field position because of this offense. Where's the explosiveness? This is exactly what the Dallas Cowboys did towards the end of the season last year from an offensive standpoint. Everybody kept putting graphics and stats up about their number one offense in the league and they gaining all of these yards. This is exactly how they looked when everybody thought that they would get bounced the first week of the playoffs. I thought some way they would have a resurgence. This team and to your point, Dan, it's time for dak to overcome those things. Like you are going to suffer injuries. You're going to have deficiencies this time of the year. The San Francisco forty-niners playing with their third string quarterback right now. You have to overcome it for you got to figure out a way to make this team a little bit more explosive or they'll be home watching it with us again. This new on NFL live too as it relates to the cowboys. We got they added a little bit of help too. Twice. Joining this team, I love this signing. Look at the big smile there. I'm gonna add him, get him on this team and listen. We're still waiting on the Odell Beckham junior situation, but they got TY, maybe they're good to go four time Pro Bowl wide receiver. Speed. I like it, right? Yeah. The offense doesn't hurt. Hey, still ahead, we're talking a little bit about Jalen hurts in those eagles, but he has been putting on a clinic. Dan is going to show you on the touch screen. The one thing that he's improved on that he's never seen another quarterback improve this much on. You don't want to miss this. It's next, and then it felt live. We'll be right back. "Are at the packers at 28. We had some fun with the last one. You got to take a receiver with one of these different picks. You have to have to. And I don't want to speak for you, but yeah, trailer burkes. I mean, you know, we've been talking about him being the constant and outside zone receiver. I think you take him here. Let's not fart around. Let's not that anyone's goal, I guess, during draft time is to fart around, but the packers should stop farting around and just take trailer bursts. Put that on a T-shirt. Quit farting around. Was that anybody ever say that to you? Was that a thing when you were growing? I think our football coach is used to say that a lot. Quit farting around, you know? Yeah, I don't remember hearing it very often. I mean, I've heard the phrase, I'm familiar with the phrase, but I don't know if anyone's really said it to me at any point. I maybe I just don't fart around. Yeah, I was gonna say, you might just not fart around. You know, I might have just been a real fart around kind of guy. But trailing Burke's, I mean, goodness gracious. Just get him in there, you know? Let Erin Rogers look a safety off and then bang him with like a quick slant and let him run like 60 yards into the end zone. Let's get this thing done. I mean, just looking at this. Sammy Watkins, Allen lazard, Randall Cobb, hand selected Randall Cobb for Aaron Rodgers. All those young guys are gone, except for Amari Rogers who did it in the third round last year. The last I saw of Mari Rogers and possibly I missed something late in the year was he ran a little round to the flat incorrectly in that Thursday night went over the Cardinals and I think that was like it. He was just crossed off the list. I'm sure they'll give it another try this year, but Aaron Rodgers is just like, nope, never again. Apparently playing a playing receiver for Aaron Rodgers is like being a drummer and whiplash. You miss you miss a symbol hit and then what's the guy's name J. K. Simmons just throws a drumhead at you and tries to have you murdered. So. We are at pick 29. We're actually back to back with the chiefs now. So we don't even really have to introduce 30 here. That's kind of neat. Maybe they can just announce both at the same time. So 29 and 30 have them come out holding hands. Yep. Would you ever, if you were the chief, so say you're 29, and then you just decide not to pick, right? And then the next team can run ahead and that's just you. So you could just do whatever the hell you want. That's pretty awesome, you know? Yeah, buy whatever the hell you want. You can do specifically that. Endless options. You could, what is it? Is it 15 minutes or is it ten? Am I on my mind? Oh boy, that's a really good question. I honestly can't remember. I think they cut it down to ten when they went to Thursday night. I could be wrong though..

"Look again. You know not a ton of situations. Here i love i do wanna make sure i lock up a A backup tight end. So i'm gonna take cold Again love the upside. It does seem like he's going to be a dude this year. I don't quite. I still don't understand why he slipping. I know jimmy. Graham is on the team and all that all that jazz. But i mean again upside could be. Is there even if it daddy. Don't it doesn't need to be a new quarterback. Yeah a massive upside potential on him and again You know by all accounts. He's gonna be the guy you worry about. You know jimmy graham snake and some of your touchdowns but other than that. He has a pretty clean path to play in a bunch when he up ryan. I'm coming up in a couple of picks. I'm probably gonna need another receiver of sorts. It's interesting. I have a lot of shares of amari rogers from earlier in the the summer. Those are those feel like they're slowly dying. I'm kind of i mean. At this point you have the detroit. Lions with the exception of hodkinson and the running backs. No one's been drafted at. What point do you just have to say okay. Well it's a starting wide receiver. Well but t y hilton is so available now ramble. Yeah still available. I get out wanting to part of this colts offense but at some point enough is enough right. i think when we can say the. We've seen some raiders. Guys go pretty late here. I think there are some offense. Is that You know indian detroit. It makes more sense. Because i think they're going to be more run heavy. I think they're going to be a team that both teams will probably be teams preferred around the past. But n he's gonna pass the ball and specifically Guess we'll see if he falls to me. But specifically a guy like paris campbell to me another ohio state wide receiver who projects you know if he can stay healthy boy. The ceiling is quite high from here. I don't know if i'm looking at. Ty he'll just because we know what has happened at ty goes as we're talking about him we know what's happened with ty held gerald. Every goes. sean that's fun. Pick up here in the the let rest cook north northwest with his offense coordinator from the rams. All right hines so called time. Probably a good time to take him. I'm gonna grab paris campbell. Reports are healthy again. You can do worse. Things than bet on. Ohio state wide receivers in the national league in the national football league brian trae. Richardson wants to know. Chapman is the number one receiver for number one for the saints. Now you like commit over trautmann. Trauman went rounds ago. First of all. It's close i saw can do last year. He's a notre dame tight. End not a basketball player slash from dame in the third round and i believe that jimmy. Graham was in the top five in the league and red zone targets. Coal command is gonna fall in some of those targets if cold commanders. Eight top five top ten red zone target guy doesn't matter the quarterback is. i mean. Sure they need to get into the red zone what they did it last year with the bat offense or the bad team so they can do it again this year. My on the clock air. No i'm in two picks paris campbell virk sir way rienzi. What's going on show. It's magic jared cook. Got people looking at us yet. What are checking out the booth. It is fun to be a fantasy football expo where people look at gambling like ooh. It's almost like we're handing out like strip club cards or something like that. That's interesting i down with that i can. I can dabbled a little bit of that. Gimme k. j. handler. let's go the all caja. Hamblur is on the sean green fantasy team this year. Yeah and i'm busy saturday. Preseason lineup being because i definitely would have had some caja hamblur shares. What about van jefferson ryan. Everyone seemed to hide him up last year. But maybe this year this year. I think he's a fun. i like him. Better than to. Sean jackson in a way in the best ball format when i've already grabbed stafford and two receivers because he could be be he could fall into more work. If one of those guys gets hurt not that. I'm looking at handcuff here. But i mean then jefferson was a post type guy remember hard knocks. They were people were loving him and he just never got the work. Yeah reynolds god. He's now in tennessee. Opens up some space. I'm gonna try. Van jefferson real. Dick move real dick move. I mean right. And you're all over your buddy maddie staff. Take them later in part of my stack. That's why i'm telling you you're a real quick. Okay sean. Jackson still available to atwell ryan. I mean i do need to get a second quarterback a who's who I mean crazy to take exact wilson over baker mayfield from my second quarterback. No 'cause you you make an opinion and you know that's how it works sean. You're you're you. Don't pause the hesitate in call. Kyle shanahan one of the worst coaches in the nfl. No you don't win. The sharps are coming out. Telling you take the over in. The preseason buffoons just cable out. i don't know. I was just kicking stuff around all right. Rundown your team kramer. What are we looking at. I'm about to make a pick probably going to be another receiver but as we stand. Lamar jackson with matt stafford barclay. Heckler trae sermon. Jamal williams robert woods robbie. Anderson brandin cooks monday parker sterling shepard paris campbell to tyler and coal commit. I don't see any bi week issues. I see a lot of late by weeks for my.

"But Muhammad ali missed a little bit of time. Calendar is still you know. Almost four thousand passengers twenty six touchdowns. I don't seem giving eleven rushing touchdowns again which is crazy rushing touchdowns yeah but You know eight hundred Rushing yards me in a little pass before two hundred passing yards. Eclipsing the thirty passing touchdown mark l. Maybe five hundred rushing yards in six still run. Run the ball now as much last year but Still ligament quarterback nor four again. The tough picking these. Nfc west quarterback because the defenders are so good in that division book to the Is it's the rams into a nightmare. Yeah others weren't good Terrible the corners auto idea. What went there no idea. That's how you need to defenses. Good rushing pants. hit george. remember aaron rodgers baby. I'm begging us. We don't air on his number three i wanted. I couldn't three floors offense him Great friends early. Great yes they go golfing together. Maybe you know probably not but they got respect for each other. Rogers says good wide receiver core the wide receiver. People sleep amazon. Nbs they got goes all over the field. They drafted amari rogers. Rental car Bobby tanya robert tanya fifty two catches on fifty nine targets last year. I think riders will handle more because every time you to catch your trucks. people over. He gets offense going. So you'll hear more about bobby tight on episode but robber i i can see reiver's last year. Forty three hundred yards. Forty eight passing. Tv's three rushing duties. I seem to get over fifty passing touchdowns this year to prove a point. I doubt i hate to say he's more likely than not gonna lead off season. He's gone now he's gonna he'll be able to pick a spot then. Robbie san francisco. Bu- no i'm just gonna leave. Let the parents know. They must stop after he gets fifty dollars after. They want to know reiver's numbers. I bet you the fifty two sounds interesting. Well don't always going to like your eyes on the name. Your hasn't soubra up. He's got peyton staffer. no shit. "At the end of this we'll call ourselves coaches Bullets are with the biggest off-season addition amongst the veterans here and will start off jenny. Yeah so i enter the doc. I i put down. What i thought was a clever answer. And then both gary. In connor later told me they were going to put down the same thing. But i went with randall cobb. Not because of the impact till necessarily have on the field this year but because it was apparently a key to brokering peace with rogers and i think it's kind of amusing how much guterson's tried to distance himself from the signing. I quote here. He said obviously without aaron. I don't think we would probably be pursuing that randall. Still really good player. Seeing him last night reminded me what an impact will have in our locker room and for our football team. But this was a very important thing for erin and that's why we did it so if it goes awry. Don't blame good accounts. Blame aaron rodgers but aaron rodgers needed something. They drafted a receiver in the third round. Amari rogers But he felt like he wanted some impact in personnel decisions and at the point when he returned to training camp most of the personnel decisions for the year had already been made but this was one that they could make acquiring. Cobb who may not have made the texans roster anyway but in any event it has allowed rogers to move forward with something that he considered a win. The rental cobb signing by the texans last off season was. It didn't really get much press. It was in my mind far and away the most bizarre signing of the off season. Because he got as you know. And what are we know. This money is not all what it's built up to be but I mean he got the largest total dollar contract among receivers on the free agent market. Which for a guy who the cowboys seem not very interested in retaining. And the texans certainly didn't have a desperate need for wide receiver and really the entire wide. Receiver market is so depressed..

"You don't give all players assay in personnel but a defensive coordinator may trust. You know a veteran guy and say listen. We're going to draft this kid. Watch them take. What do you think. And i do think that's valuable. I do think there's one or two players on both sides of the ball that a coach or a coordinator thinks these guys not only play the game. They think the game. And that's where aaron rodgers comes in. But i also think joe montana didn't have to worry about personnel because he had so much trust in bill walsh and the niners from office. I think tom brady for fifteen to sixteen of his twenty years. In new england didn't have to worry about personnel inherited. A great defense. They got randy moss. Welker it wasn't until the last three years where bella check whiffed on several drafts very few pro bowlers almost no playmakers that brady started getting frustrated and i think wanted more of a say in more respect then but jimmy johnson came on our show yesterday and said this green bay situation is not that difficult. Aaron should have a say. I don't think it's tricky at all. In fact a seminar john czarnowski and i got an argument about this or a discussion. He said jimmy. You would never listen to one of your players about who to draft or high. We'll wait a minute now. I said the aaron rodgers is smarter and bid there longer than most of those scouts. Why wouldn't listen to him. He knows those players he he knows talent you know he knows what they need and i in fact i said if my memory serves me right i say john come over with me let. Let's talk to troy. I said it was your fourth year. Third year i said. Did i talk to you about her north turner. He said coach. Don't you remember you brought nor van and let me visit with him before you made a decision whether or not to hire him or not so latte trusted my players especially my quarterback. That's smart you know as for some decision making on not only the roster but also unharmed coaches. now. I think one of the things that's overrated in life is having power and control. I think one of the things that's underrated as having talent and being focused on one thing. I would not want a big say in personnel. I would rather be focused on playing quarterback if you go look at the nba and the nfl over the last decade. Let me name. Some of the coaches that have had personnel power and coaching power. Tom sibito in minnesota. Doc rivers with the clippers. Bill o'brien in houston stand van. Gundy and bella check and bella check acknowledged this off season. I've got to give more respect and bring in more voices on the draft. I think it's almost impossible to be great at two things. Michael jordan tried baseball randy. Moss tried hoops. So did roy jones. Junior so i think ideally is a quarterback. You should just worry about being quarterback in fact if you watched the documentary what you discovered as brady didn't have much of a relationship or conversations with ballot check. He was on the phone constantly. Would josh mcdaniels. Brady just worried about that offense and its efficiency and i think that's the way to do it. I think brady only got frustrated and wanted more of a voice because ballot check with all that control butchered several of the last draft. And i will say this. I think what the tipping point with aaron rodgers was. i mean. he's a smart guy he'd he'd always like a heads up. But i think when aaron really started wanting a say and this is just conjecture on my part is i thought the twenty twenty packers draft was terrible. That's a football team. Packers thirteen and three get to the nfc championship and not a single player from that draft has had an impact then this year again. It feels like more of a developmental draft outside of a amari rogers the slot corner from clemson. He'll come into play immediately. So i think aaron would want less of if he wasn't so frustrated with the last couple drafts because he understands. I'm getting older had a couple surgeries. Nfc's loaded at the top. I gotta get through. Brady you gotta get me players. Every april like four or five dude that can play and win games. jay glazer fox. Sports live from canton hall of fame. Weekend mimi it also you. "Rogers that gives them another matchup peace within that scheme pre and post nap movement fly sweeps screens align them in the backfield release from the backfield align them in the slot. He's physical after the catch. He's got lower body strength. That's just another weapon for them to build out with that office already uses a ton of pre and snap both. Yeah i mean he can do kind of the stuff that tyler urban did better basically and my only concern with it right. Yeah hundred percent. Well that's why the cops kind of concern me. Because i was like way. I don't him taking reps from my rogers that was like a flawless draft. Pick and i think he might not because he's got the toe injury so we'll see how that shakes out. Not lacob is not totally you know. He doesn't bring some utility to the offense. But what you said about rogers. I think he's should so well said because like it really. Is that what you saw last year was like the dream manifestation of the kyle shanahan offense what why the niners strategy lance. Which is you want a quarterback who will not only play within the structure of it and you know aaron rodgers the lowest think second-lowest tight window throw rate in the league last year. That's because dude we're wide open up. Because you know he was not trusting his receivers and keep fully leaned into the offense entrusted it. And then you have that extra cherry on top right. He can also make plays outside the structure and he can make those difficult throws winnie has to. And that's why. I'm not terribly worried about regression because i think the mvp from that buying. And yeah i think like shoot. I mean one thing that did kind of frustrate me through the ought season is just like the hearing people talk about the packers personnel like aaron rodgers playing with The bad news bears. Or whatever. I mean i think their kid like i you know allah's ard probably ideally would be a three and not a tube but i think he's quite capable baldas gatling as long as he doesn't drop the ball takes the top off. They've got funches. Who knows what he's got there. And then like you said throwing amari rogers into mix all behind of course devante adams who i believe the best wide receiver in football. So i don't know. I think the only thing i think holding the team back would be enough offensive line but i feel like they're going to run away with the division personally pretty easily thirteen to be for sure the thing i would mention you talking about rogers. Is that every quarterback and this is something. Our business thing is looked at negatively when you say a quarterback because the system quarterback and every quarterback a quarterback in some regard they disarm you. Don't just go out there and you're not playing to pick up game. So everyone has structure within their offense in the system they plan. That's what air. Rogers and matt floors. I think you saw that last year when you have an elite talent that plays in an elite system those production you get. I agree with you on davante adams. There's no question for me. He's number one wide receiver in the nfl. And he's the best. I've seen in a long time. At the line of scrimmage you go up there and press man against avant. Angie better be ready to work sony right now. You'd better be ready to work. Is he showed you off. The line gadget is like watching him that little the half he does. I don't even know how to describe it. Because i'm just not as well versed in releases but it's almost like a bunny hop kinda of when he a nightmare. Yeah i i can see. I mean i'm so glad to get to actually talk about the packers. football team. Now speculated the psychological machinations so. Let's talk with the lions. And i want to make an optimistic ace for the lions us about the defense in which i find the defense very interesting too but the offense. The optimistic case is that Jared goff really really struggled under pressure right like that was ultimately his downfall. The splits are dramatic. The lions might have the best offensive line. The division yeah so while the wide receiver group is concerning and they actually a little bit underrated which we can talk about. If i had to between jared goff going to a team with a bad line and a good skill grid players versus the reverse which is what this is. I would choose this for him. I think he's more likely to play well. In on this team than an alternate scenario. I would agree the offensive line. Detroit is is the strength of the football team and we have to project a little bit with. Anthony lennon's a play car. But let's do that. It's probably gonna be a run heavy system or stand that you don't sign jamal williams Just catch passes on third down. I think jamal williams will get more touches than people. Think is a downhill. That's what he is as good vision. Good pair level behind that offense front but what that leads into his. What jared goff does best which is throw a timing of black. That's when he's at his best. Now doesn't mean jared goff catherine the pocket we know again but it goes back to your point. Mia when jared goff is a reset in the pocket things can go south pretty quickly. He's more of a program thrower them in terms of his mechanics very robotic at times as a mover in the pocket when he has to climb or slide reset. It's hard for him to throw at timing rhythm which makes him a perfect fit for So i do think it'll be plaques and you'll see in breakers a lot of breakers jared goff you'll see some in three level reads outside i call it a flood route. Get one-two-three towards the sideline of the boundary.

So the reality is when somebody wants out. Your best move is quick because you'll lose leverage over time everybody in the league knows. Oh this guy wants out. We don't have to give you much. So when aaron rodgers was unhappy. I thought there was an argument to be made of jordan. Love can play and you drafted in the first round. He should be able to play Unless you screwed up your scouting and you know that would be a packer. issue jordan. Love should be able to play by this time a year later right by this time in more jackson's career it was. Mvp talk right so interesting. this morning. The packers look like they're going to trade back to get randall. Cop they're gonna. They're gonna go get randall. Cobb i had a general manager and scout texts me this morning. This is why. Aaron rodgers is not a personnel guy. He's a quarterback randall. Cobb is expensive old. shot injured. Can't stay healthy and you draft on a slot. Receiver name amari rogers out of clemson. Who is a slot. And we'll be very good. Hopefully aaron can suck it up and work with a rookie and build a relationship even though it's his last year but this is a classic example now. This relationship with aaron and green bay is officially weird. This is a really bad personnel move. He's ten point four million dollars. That is a ton for a slot receiver who was a one time pro bowl or seven years ago and since then can't stay healthy. Fourteen games missed last three years hamstring issues toe issues nice player at one point but can't play anymore. I mean it's not going to be a ten million dollar player and this is a classic example. Your wife comes up to you. And says i wanted divorce. You can say let's make it work for a year to a year and a half. you're gonna have. Resentment issues can have trust issues. And you're going to start doing things to appease her that are authentic. It's not a real relationship you're gonna act completely differently than you normally would in a really healthy authentic relationship. What green bay is doing now. They're in the makeup stage so they're making a really bad move. according to what. I'm reading this morning. To appease aaron rodgers who's got one year left may not care about building some great relationship with a rookie slot receiver name mary. Rogers from clemson who actually can play. Who can really play. He'll be in fact. His cop was randall. Cobb people thought he was out of clemson. He's randall cobb. So this is officially the weird stage that aaron rodgers because green bay feels we kind of butchered that whole thing and we gotta make up bad move now so you could say well well brady went out and got antonio brown antonio brown is essentially free that nothing and he can still beat people down the field antonio brown compla- he's got his issues. Do complain is free. What about gronk. Still an elite blocking tight end. I mean last couple of years last two years. Excuse me that gronk is played. He's made huge plays in big games super bowls. Afc championship nfc championship. Gronk and still play not as often and not with the volume. He wanted but gronk can still play. Antonio brown can still play to discount for both randall. Cobb can't and he's expensive. Become a prime example of the relationship is in a weird space in green bay now sacrificing cap and quality to appease the guy that wants out. aaron want out. it's wiser. There's an argument to be made guy wants out. Let him go move fast. So that story is coupled with this story. This is really interesting. So what to the packers need in the nfc. Nothing about the nfc. Seattle has got decay. Metcalf antilock it. The rams cooper cop robert woods endless wide receiver talent tampa bay. Mike evans chris godwin antonio brown when you look around the nfc. The dallas cowboys cd. Lamb amari cooper michael gallup when you look around the nfc it is teams with really good wide receivers and what what really truly lost that. Game for green bay against tampa kevin king. The corner got smoked right before half the packers desperately need another corner. They have gyro exander but in the nfc. I mean go thinking last. Four teams left. It's a passing league. The last four teams left last year. Buffalo stefan digs cole. Beasley kansas city. Name your star. Tampa receivers everywhere. Green bay davante adams in a tight end with eleven touchdowns the last four teams at the passing league. The one thing all of them had great great wide receiver tight end even running back talent. That's the league now so for green bay in a weird relationship with their quarterback to get through the nfc. They could really use another corner because they don't have the wide receivers to getting a shootout with tampa. I don't think they have the wide receiver talent to get in a shootout with seattle or los angeles. They need another corner and look at this story this morning. Dolphins corners avian howard. Once out of miami. He is the best corner in the nfl. Do not listen to anybody. That says jalen ramsey. I watched every snap. Jalen ramsey last year is not as good as xavien howard. Dolphins lead the nfl with eighteen picks. Ten from this guy he led the nfl and past defended. He led the nfl inpex. He is the best corner in the nfl. Smart disciplined great hands catching radius. He's fantastic. You put him next year alexander you have the best cornerback. Tanum not only in the nfl but the nfl for a decade. And he's fifty million bucks. You're paying ten for randall. Cobb prime example. This is what green bay needs because green bay can't go toe to toe with tampa bay offensively tampa's corners are. Okay if green bay got xavien howard. Now you take mike evans out of the game. Now you take chris godwin now you got yourself a fighting chance against tampa. You have.

"There. I like taking wide receiver in round one in certain spots where we have so many questions about running back. How would you match up now. Tyreek hill verse. Devante verse digs. I believe you have them in. Similar tiers or the same tier. But these guys really davante adams steph digs tyree kale. How would you slot devante and think about if you wanted to go wide receiver in round. One thing about those guys. They're all now first round picks there all i believe within the top eleven overall in the top one fifty and i mean they're they're tough to sort you know i thought about putting davante adams at number one Over tyree kill thought about putting him in number two over stefan digs but you know the big playability. The small narrow target distribution in kansas city betting on patrick mahomes have a better season than aaron rodgers. I think gives tyree kill the edge and then with stefan digs. Just the the ability of stefan digs. Just jump in pretty much cold with very little practice. Time with josh. Allen do what he did. Last year lead the nfl catches and receiving yards. And now they're entering number two with the full off season and the full august to prepare And the use of a little bit on the side of stefan digs. There has me leaning toward stefan digs over davante adams right now but again. All three of these guys are within the top eleven now in the top one fifty. Yeah and i like the idea of big bob. Tanya being up there in the top of his tier for sure last. I want to say is aaron jones. You mentioned it a little bit but man if you're looking for a running back in round one without workload concerns without injury concerns air jones. I mean men and i like aj dylan moved aj dylan rv thirty nine ivan taking aj dylan a ton in round ten eleven of baseball. I think that aaron jones now is around one pick. I don't know who go like that yet. People are going to be anchored a bit to his round two selection. So we'll see what happens. Aaron jones. adp for now will be ahead of air jones adp. And i like that for sure and one thing to note when you are drafting. Aj dylan now is that you know if something were to happen to aaron jones. Aj dill and all of a sudden becomes a potential league winner So that makes aj dylan a lot more attractive. In addition to the fact that now he can be a guy that potentially provides you with some Some standalone value and is like a potential Flex option each week on. It would be very tied to touchdowns and he'd be very volatile score. Even the best case scenario with aaron jones healthy but now he's got a little bit of a floor and very high ceiling if something were to happen aaron jones. Do you wanna give the people a quick scouting report on my rogers. Just in general. Do you think he has to beat out. Mvsa or lazard for number two number three duties or do you think it's just going to be kind of a gadget. He role firm orient player. That they of envisioned when they drafted amari. Roger was randall. Cobb and we've heard rumors from trey wingo who he's not a reporter so you to kinda take what he says with a grain of salt. Nothing against trey wingo by you know. He's like a a a sports personality that he that aaron rodgers is pulling the packers to trade for randall. Cobb and if that were to happen that would not that would that would not help amari. Rogers so yeah. I'm trying to temper expectations for amari rogers. But i think that would fit well. As a slot player allen lazard has also been a high percentage slot player for the packers over the past couple of years. So a randall. Cobb edition would hurt him. And if amari rogers comes along quickly that also would hurt. Allen lazard mean. This is so absurd like i. He got upset when j kuncoro. They've they let jake coomer go. And now he's demanding the trade randall. Cobb who i think has looked really kind of slow down and also has an awful contract right now. He wants him to trade for randall. Cobb i mean it's ridiculous. Okay let's move on to the michael thomas stuff. We talked about this. I talked about this last one. Get hers. But i wanna get your take on it. Because you're much lower michael thomas then what we discussed last week. You drop michael. Thomas from the wide receiver ten to wide sixty two following news that he had ankle surgery in june on his troublesome ankle. We're currently projecting the back around week. Seven or week eight where. We don't know what. I was arguing with about some was. We don't know how healthy he'll be if he does return in that week. Seven or eight spot so this is a massive moved down to wives. Sixty two essentially. What you're saying is a borderline on draftable. So talk to you about wire. So so low on michael thomas to it very much depends upon league format. If you're in. Best ball i think that michael thomas is still very draftable if you are in a league if you're gonna manage league season-long league we have an. I are spot then. Michael thomas is a lot more draftable. But if you're in a traditional season-long league which most people are by far the highest percentage League format in fantasy football still. I think he's really really tough to draft. He's not going to get him. He's going to begin the season on reserve. Up it appears and those first waiver runs a really important typically in the manage leagues and having a guy occupying roster spot for the entire first six weeks with..

"The dallas cowboys. I've been in the situation before when a player has one foot out the door. He's not going to be the same guy he won't have that same level focus and dan. Quinn will be a huge addition to the dallas cowboy defense will be top five on offense. There'll be middle road on defense. Damn quinn replaced. Mike nolan in twenty fifteen at the atlanta falcons. They had a massive improvement dan. Quinn replaces mike nolan in twenty twenty one in dallas. Their defense lava massive improvement. They'll be in the championship games against the buccaneers. They get new players on defense. Or i say i mean. The cowboys remain unbeaten in july every year in july. They're just let me come to extend both teams the biggest threat to the buccaneers in the nfc. Yeah first of all they better be top-five on offense. They got a lot of money invested talking about their defense. I've been saying the washington football team. I think if that we go forward and we write the headline of who might knock them off. It will read the washington football team. Giant turn back the hands of time in their front four dominates tampa's offense and i think that's the only way to beat tampa. I think there's defense will be the best defensive football. It's the best defensive line in football william jackson edition at corners. Huge davis the draft. Pick out a kentucky should be a really good player and their offense could be the fastest offense in football fifties gonna play good. Their offensive line is better than people think one team that could go knock off tampa or the most equipped to do it is washington. I agree and yesterday at this time. That would have been my pick her. But if aaron rodgers playing for the green bay packers. I have to go with them. I mean they were there and they are that and they've got that guy. I like wine. Patrick think he will play better than most people think. He won't play as well. As aaron rodgers. aaron rodgers last year was the best player in the sport. And there's no obvious reason to me why he shouldn't be again now. I have no idea what impact all of this off season mess will have on him or on them on the field. But i don't see any obvious reason to think considering they were right there with home. Field advantage against tampa last year and made a questionable decision to kick a field goal late. Danny and a lot of other sort of crazy things that happen. In that game member of the touchdown the score right before halftime by tara. And everything else i to me. It dan it has to be the packers. This is what i would say about. The packers the championship roster. It's not a championship team anymore. And that's good. I just don't see how everything that has transpired. This off season between aaron rodgers in the organization and team in the unknowing her the not knowing. What's going to happen. The drama distraction. That is not going away. It will be a conversation every single week. I don't see how a championship team going forward. It certainly possible. That's why i say. I don't know what impact is going to have on them. I watched jordan and pippen up close and personal twenty something years ago. We'll see if rogers and davante can do the same things making a wick. Let's take a look at some other training camp situations and it does start with devante atoms more or less dan. Devante twelve and a half touchdown catches this season. Go more or less. i'm gonna say less. He's done it twice. In the last three years he had thirteen eighteen and then eighteen touchdown catches last year. It's just so hard to do. i'm gonna put them at twelve. I think the addition of amari rogers out of clemson in the third round for them gives them another pass catching threat especially down in the red zone out of the slot. He's going to have another huge season. I'm gonna put them at twelve touchdowns. I'll say less. I like it. Mike back to your favorite team the cowboys more last night rushing for ezekiel elliott. Which way do we go. Well after that full predicted apportion has to be more for a couple reasons. He looks great. He looks like he's in the best shape of his career but more importantly they're getting back three offensive. Linemen and zack. Martin mill towns tyron smith who combined this three six games. Those those are three frontline offense. I'm in big improvement in the run game and then one more reminder. Julio jones is now a tennessee titan. So dan more or less six and a half touchdown catches for. Julio yeah. i'm going with less. He's done that once. Had more than six and a half touchdowns in a season once in the last five seasons he still going to be an incredibly impactful player. Further offense but aj brown is their guy eight. I would put julio jones right around five or six touchdown catches this year. That will be a tremendous impact today. Brown's their guy and he hasn't done in five years. I'll say less time with that. On one hundred percent. Meanwhile speaking of receivers we have another one to get to as we continue. Odell beckham said words. All browns fans wanna hear just win baby why that wish may come at some personal cost. That's on the way..

"'cause he's he's like upshot guy he's the guy that yup like is he pans out family. We're off to the races My i want to hear about your seventeenth round. Pick here amari rogers real quick before we let you go This is a player that the defending overall champion co champion. I should say along with l. But hudson current read was talking about him in the In the chat room tonight as we're talking about aaron rodgers you talk about amari rogers his rookie year. What are your expectations for him. Because he's not a player who always get selected in the best ball swims. You've got them in the last second the last round here. What are your expectations for. Amari rogers his rookie year in green bay. There's a massively wide range of outcomes. But but just looking at him and kind of going to the little bit of a different angle right his his kind of mindset in his I think his his mindset coming off. Acl injury in just reading about how he pressed themselves. and it was kind of a fringe angle. But if you look aaron rodgers tends to kind of jive with right so hard workers that guy's gonna bring it everyday learning the playbook and get in his good graces. I think he has an upshot is a third round pick. I think there's a massive upside there. He could be nothing he could not even see the field this year. That is within his range of outcomes. But i do see a world where amari rogers is in you know at the end of the year. We're talking about him. As one of the better receivers taken in the draft right and especially connecting him to his namesake. Aaron rodgers not much more upside than that. I felt laden dressed I listen mike. "Do we have now. Let's see is it. I wrote it down days. Man through it is eight days here. I'm so i think it's a seven day seven days so basically week away nine for tampa and then it's like what thirteen seven ten thirteen so thirteen days. Everybody's in kansas. Everybody goes at once. That was always the interesting thing about training camp. Because it was stagger. The i was always. I think i was always the last teams to go in. I never was like the first team. Ever 'cause i never afraid he's are the however played in the hall of fame game. Believe it or not and Yeah i was always like the last group to go into training camps so i had luxury of steel chilling. Everybody else's sweat but you're getting ramped up for camp now. Everybody's gives up at can't get in shape. I feel like well when you in tampa in tampa you go in tampa bay out of say. Yeah you're right man shake humidity. Oh man this thing of beauty. Well let's see so what we're talking about today. As i mentioned is the windows closing. I mentioned the packers. If there's no aaron rodgers windows closing it would you say like let's just again you now starting to buy the idea that aaron rodgers return but if he does let's say he just i don't see the windows closing on them. If in fact. Aaron rodgers their. Because i think they're young enough football team around collectively the jordan love can potentially but potentially can grow into the position. They're young enough when you think about davante adams and lazar just drafted amari rogers. They just got aaron jones at the running tinny clark on defense alexander deep. They're young they're not old so i don't think the window is closed. I think it just looks different. It certainly does with a quarterback that doesn't have any experience at all grow into the position if he's any good if if he's any good as i don't know what he is all right so you're not buying that would throw that out. How about the pittsburgh steelers. When a captain obvious absolute windows close. Yeah window window is going to be closing very fast. It's like right at the edge. We you still get the breeze coming in. but it's not all the way. That's what pittsburgh is at minnesota vikings. Same same with pittsburgh because i think when you look at home or your cousins or got kirk. Cousins you got mike zimmer you know you got to dalvin cook feeling jefferson you know you start to look at them. They can be better but if they don't go and if they don't cash in this year i think it's a different situation going forward and twenty twenty two. Yeah i mean this division. Gale we on the caveat of no aaron rodgers if no aaron rodgers if you're minnesota this is the time the strike. But they've been there. I mean we've seen them. They've also gotten a lot of fortune in the postseason as well you know. When do they finally break through. This has got to be the year you think. What about the vegas raiders win at the if they don't do something this year i it's because the clock is ticking. Gruener he's you can't. You can't keep tenure deal hoping that doesn't mean you can't tell me that They don't have an out somewhere in that contract. That says you know when we're out of here and if they could just eat that and keep it moving because you go. Ten year plans with every coach in the national football league. I'll be like a couple of years. But his voice is something he's got to be four in on this five. How many years in. they're not good. No that's not my point. My point is that how much more time like. You're saying how much jack del rio hannam as a playoff-caliber one down year group came in and blew it up and wanted to his way. He's gotten the opportunity to do it his way at some point at some point you gotta turn show me something. They don't give coaches. What the contracts say in the national football league other than cincinnati bengals and marvin lewis other than that. You gotta be winning like mike. Tomlin and bill belichick on a consistent basis every single year to keep your job. They just fired a do. They want super bowl and philadelphia. That's right come only three years later. Are you mentioned. Bill belichick patriots window. I don't i don't know if the windows closed on the patriots yet. Whether it's cam newton a whether it's mac jones because i think that long term philosophy is still in play for bill. It's not a short term game. Issa long-term game two years ago. Two years ago i was having a conversation. Somebody in the works in the front office with the patriots and he was talking. We were just talking shop and he was saying what bill was had been working. 'cause i was like man. When is coach gonna retire bill working stuff ten years from now seriously. This was at this one. That's what i meant when i was like the patriot. Way whole thing again. No patriot thing is something that took a hit. When tom brady left in won a super bowl and they didn't have a great season. So that's why. I patriot ways anymore. Way started based on belichick in mr craft and everybody going out there getting players that kinda was at the end of their careers and getting a rebirth for a little bit of money. That's when the patriot way started the tennessee. Titans addict a victim of move. I mean they're just the. I don't think i think i think a window to two years ago. It was like they were team is to really contend. They are continue. Don't mean that they're going to get past cleveland or indianapolis now and their division as well as kansas city. I mean they're good football team. But i'm not betting money on them interesting so key agrees with some but not all what a big surprise say. Stop doing.

"If you want to see are pretty faces. We every one of our episodes on youtube as well and without any further. Let's jump right into it players. We are most worried about being worried about Be wrong about dave. You starting with aaron rodgers as the quarterback on your list of five you also have kyle pits on there. I don't know how much more we have talked about him. But we can but aaron rodgers. Go ahead your thoughts on what are you. What are you thinking right now about rogers and what are you worried about. I'm nervous about him. Repeating what he did last year. We've seen it now from prior league. Mvp that they regress the season after. And we've seen it from rogers before we still finishes his top twelve fantasy quarterback but not not at the rate that he did last season. So i'm a little worried. That i might have them ranked too high that. I've got him as a top ten fantasy quarterback in that might be a lot closer to what has ceiling. What reality might be for aaron rodgers. You throw on top of that. The fact that the only edition that they made was amari rogers at wide receiver. Devin funchess necessarily counts. The offensive line is changing a little bit and and we don't know if even play. I think that's kind of clouded by the time you listen to this. I believe deadline will passed about whether or not he cannot season. I don't expect him to opt out of the season. I just i have a. I have a much easier time. Drafting several other. Quarterbacks ahead of aaron rodgers and i just i. I don't know if there should be more quarterbacks ahead of him on the list. Okay you have faith right now. So you have herbert and wilson ahead of him but then heard about jalen hurts upside. Do you think about tan hills upside. Tom brady and a second year in tampa bay even stafford even stafford as a chance to just have a smash season even though he's got a tough schedule to begin the year..

"Denard. Okay we gotta denard robinson. Yeah this is michigan's quarterbacks. Yeah all right. I have picks one zero four two nine two ten and three. Oh four in the rookie draft so one zero four zero nine to ten and three four. It is a ten team. Pr league with two flex. Who should i aim for with my two second round picks at my third round. Pick so i really like where he's at from a quarterback standpoint. It's only one quarterback. Starting leaking van gun cuyler. I think for ten years. Worst case scenario may be two breaks out tight ends. A different kelsey is going to be there for a few more years. I don't love the back end. Three but tight end. You can usually kind of tight end. I use one of these picks on. So what i really think you should focus on here is running back and wide receiver debt and at the two nine and to ten if they somehow fall. I would prioritize michael carter. Running back jets were terrorist marshall the receiver carolina ordinaries. Tony continues to just plummet in these rookie. Drafts odd received from giants. But otherwise i love josh palmer. The wide receiver for the chargers He was out of all the receivers. I scouted i thought he was the best value by far in the. Nfl draft really excited to see him up with los angeles chargers because he's a massive deep ball threat. That's perfect for justin. Herbert also diana brown whose at a unc went to washington football team. He's just a really unique prospect. Who has a lot of Who's a great size speed. Combo kinda reminds me of decay. Madcap decay metcalf light. And if that makes any sense he's not justice Got size and speed and he was kind of under drafted. Otherwise for your next picks. I like niko collins kenneth. Well amari rogers. If you need the help now aaron rodgers come back but the three four. I wanna give you a couple of sleepers to a i love khalil. He's running back. Who was drafted to the bears. When i scouted in compton to tiki barber. I thought he was by far and away. The best value of the entire running back class. I think it could also be interesting with that. Three or four to just get a potential. Adp stud because he did mention was ideally. And if you're gonna go that route. I would look to get mika. Parsons or german davis linebacker for the cowboys linebacker for the washington football team. Both those guys are gonna be racking up a lot of tackles but they can also make plays a blitzer any coverage. So they're three way linebackers. I think those are. The guys are prioritized. Those specs mic drop could stuff from russ din. Dear jalen mcintyre. Are you need help rat alabama quarterback and now fantasy quarterbacks half pbr. Ten team league decay mecca from the fifth or hawk. Insane in the this one for me. Adam curious if you disagree with me but it's going to be decay madcap for me without a doubt i am in. We're gonna. I don't want to spoil it because i may be dropped. We may be doing something with this later. But tj hopkinson is one of my on my top five to avoid list. I want nothing to do with hopkinson this season. I would take hopkinson. Because i assure you can get metcalf in the third or the fourth hopkinson is probably like a seventh or eighth round pick and attending no like a sixth round. Pick in a ten team based on his. Adp sixth or seventh. why are we so high on hopkinson..

"Was drafted another god. I'm fairly high on From clemson at cal. I'll let you discuss him. I think about what rogers. I'm not nearly as high on rogers as they consis I think a lot of people saw him when he went to green bay. I think everybody's been so ready for the green bay packers to have another wide receiver inserted in the draft. You know and we're just intimidating in anticipating but you know. I really don't think amari rogers profiles is the number two wide receiver in the fact. That rogers is a situation is so up in the air to say the the to say the least you know. I am not projecting broader. You're gonna be there long term and if that's the case you know is jordan love gonna be all support a wide receiver you know. Are we even sure that amari rogers is better than allen. Lazard now is dead fund as the guy that they went out and got in free agency it to be the number to receiver going into last year before he opted out. You know he's back on the roster as well and he's only twenty seven years old. I think people are really forgetting about devin. Funchess to be honest with you You know this is a guy that has already been a top twenty wide receiver in his career. So i think there's a lot more competition in green bay than a lot of people are are are getting Giving them credit for and The roger situation really makes me uneasy. Amaury writers has some talent. I i just don't think he's anything special. I just think that he's at best a middle level starter of the nfl. And i don't see much of a window of him being much higher especially as long as davante adams is on that team. 'cause i just don't see that the target share i mean it's a. It's a team that clearly wants to run the ball as much as possible. So i'm not nearly as how marta riders. I i know a lot of people are people are taking them in mid second rounds now and i think that that's a mistake. I think he was the best of water. She would come out clemson for the tape stuff that i watch. Those are good points. There's a reason as to why. I say fairly high. It's because i have a lot of the same reservation that you do. But and i do. I'm generally concerned about aaron rodgers in the future in green bay with the quarterback situation. But i have to look back at amari rogers talent and what he did in his last year and clemson and what he did was ball out in my opinion. Seventy seven receptions. Thousand twenty yards seven touchdowns. Yes he had. Trevor lawrence thong him. The ball but still in a shortened season are very impressive. Numbers and amari. Rogers is a guy that has pretty much been undervalued this entire process and now all of a sudden he's going green bay people hiding him and i'm not high on him because he's going to green by on more high in him because of the talent and the potential that i see and i do think that he has the potential to be the number two receiver in green bay S a good gig. Because even if aaron rodgers is not there in a long term disturbance excellence head coach matt floor and they still have a quarterback enjoy jordan love and we really don't we haven't seen much from during love so we can't make a lot of assumptions. But he was still you still first round pick in an quarterback the has a lot of potential people were comparing him to patrick mahomes and he. He was more of a quarterback they just needed to be developed. So i think that. I think that there's a good chance that jordan love could turn into a successful quarterback if the packers ended up do and not Having rogers under center. So i think the during the love isn't a terrible option there and lathered and function function all could be a lot number two receiver in that office. But i think long term that amari. Rogers is the better prospect for may so that is why i tend to be a little bit higher on the mar bader's

"And now move the sticks with daniel jeremiah and bookie brooks. What's up everybody. Welcome to move the six presented by castrol edge dana. Jeremiah joined by my partner bucky brooks and bucky. We are officially in draft season. No combine this year but the pro days are underway and we have a lot to get to on today's show. Yeah we have a lot to get to because of the first official week abroad as we're seeing guys run get some measurable and it's important because without a combine unlimited access to the players these measurements and metrics really really mattered. No doubt we're going to have the clemson pro day. Some updated information on that our evaluation of some of their top players. Coming up here in just a second but do want you to stick around for later on the show because what we've been doing with pro on prospect where we take somebody that's at the professional level a player that's been compared to a current draft prospect. And we get a chance to have him evaluate the college players. So we're going to do that with jk dobbins. We won't tell you what running back he's going to be evaluating. We're also going to take the jets and door move the sticks body shop and see if we can't try and fix them a wisdom ideas with free agency as well as the draft so be on the lookout for that a little bit later on in the show. But let's kick things off your first big pro day and that takes place at clemson buck where we have some real interesting players really highlighted. I would say by travis n. who's in my opinion. He's atop brian back. I believe the is the number two running back in this draft class but a pretty special football player. Yeah he's a very very special football player and look. He didn't disappoint you. Comes in weighing two hundred. Fifteen pounds runs reported times in the four range. You get a chance to see him. Run around and catch. The ball made some great catches displaying his hands. And so it really comes down to now when you check off the boxes for him. Where's a great fit for him because he certainly is in every dow running back. He's one of those new school running. Back that can play in any system is really just a matter of when will you hear his name when the tag off the board i talked to scout was there and he said on his watch she had him at four four one and at four four three which is plenty fast he did two hundred and fifteen pounds and talking to some folks that have visited with him the other day he'd got up to eighteen to nineteen and training. I think he really wanted to add some bulk for context. He played around two. Oh to nine to ten. And that range so i think adding some of that bulk probably's what produced that low four. Four time you heard about previously was he would run in a low four threes and you see that speed on tape it translates and so when i'm trying to figure out who does this guy remind me of what i'm studying him. I go back to jamaal charles when he was coming out of texas. I see a lot of the same things when the foot is in the ground and he gets up field. There's a special burst there and there's some sneaky strength as well you guys bounce off him once he gets out in the open field yeah. The comparison is very valid. one Running style very similar one cup runners. But then the way that i envision it's being utilized in the passing game screens swings things that allow him to touch the ball in space where he has a little more room to dazzling create jamaal. Charles made a living at that as a pro runner. I think travis at the end can certainly follow in those footsteps are. Let's let's get onto some of these other clemson players got a couple of intriguing. Wideouts here when you look at amari rogers and cornell powell the times again from a scout the scout amari rogers was four five four four five. Oh cornell pal four five four four five three. But we're seeing amari rogers here on the screen book not not just lined up in the slaughter outside at this pro you see him actually lined up. Get some running back wraps. Yeah i think what happened with the maurie rodgers when you look at him physically. He's built like a running back contacted two hundred and twelve pounds. it's huge four slot receiver. And then you put him in the workout. You put them in running back. You can begin to talk yourself answering the possibility of him being not quite as dynamic as an antonio gibson but being one of those players that you utilize in a utility role maybe this lot maybe the third down back out of the backfield catching passes but he certainly is a weapon. And i think what scallops are trying to do is give him the best opportunity to get on the field so the offense coordinator can see with his imagination. You know what amaury rods could be very very valuable player for us when you watch him at clemson you see the quick hitters. You'll see him work in the same. He's a really really tough kid. We talk it'd be built like a running back. Also get him the ball on some jet sweep so to be able to line him up at one one snap in the slot. Hit him with the jet sweep. You can line them up in the backfield and ralph with him out of the backfield to me and gives you a lot of variety of what you can do with. His skill set also can help you return some kicks if you need that is well. How about cornell powell and what you saw from him. I mentioned the time. Four five four four five three. What did you think of him as a player. When i think he's a body beautiful athlete. You see him. He is big broad shoulders. You like to think that he would be able to do. The dirty work really came into his own this year. More of a mover has a bill that you talked about those times into four for our brains. That's about how he played tape. I think he's another big body. Why y receiver that you throw into the mix maybe third or fourth receiver who also gives you some contributions on special teams. Well you mentioned special teams. He did it at clemson. This somebody had to wait his turn behind a long list of quality wide receivers. They've had their dabble. Sweeney's done a wonderful job of recruiting that position. But i've seen them you see him as a gun or on pot where he's outstanding that toughness translates to special teams. And you don't have to wonder about it. You can actually see him do that on the tape. He's a little bit tight. I think you can see that through some of the workouts as well. But i think he's gonna end up going on day three but i'm with you. I think you try tried find a role third fourth receiver and he's going to have value on fourth downs because of his ability to cover kicks. So it's gonna be interesting class. There i would add jackson carmen. The offensive tackle from clemson did not work out. He had back surgery right after the season. So we'll see how that impacts him as he goes to the draft process most likely still a day two pick. They're coming out of clemson. Really one of the few really good offensive. Linemen clemson has produced. It's been the one whole program are let's get. Let's keep the receiver talk going here baucau. There's so many wideouts in this draft class as we saw last year really the last couple years again. We have it this year. Have nineteen receivers. That i have you know top three round grades on so i figured let's go day one day to day three and just highlight maybe not the best guy but but somebody that you really really have an affinity for. You'd stand on the table for you ready to roll. Let's start let's start day one day one receiver that you could fight for in the room. Well i'm gonna give you yeah was a borderline day. One receiving i'm say terrorists marcher from lsu and the reason. Why terrorists more so to me is intriguing this year to step in and really occupied the lead road. Marchetto is and there. obviously justin. Jefferson had moved on to the national football league and he responded with a nice year over. Seven hundred. Receiving yards has. Ten touchdowns has twenty three touchdowns in his career. So when you think about gas who can put the ball into paint who can make plays down to red zone terrorist. Marshall.
