Thanks enjoy the. Episode. The legend of sleepy hollow. Once upon a time, there was a strange little village in a faraway forest. It was separated from the rest of civilization woods and streams and mountains and miles and miles of lonely country road. It was a quiet and dreamy sort of place nearly always shrouded with the soupy gray fog that roll down from the mountains and kept in almost constant twilight by the thick green canopy of ancient evergreen trees. In fact, it was such a quiet and dreamy place that everyone who lived there grew to call it sleepy hollow. That being said the night our story takes place was the least sleepy night that the village had seen in years. The daughter of the towns Lord a great beauty by the name of Katrina Van Tassell was holding a Halloween ball and everyone was invited. The town was buzzing with excitement and none more than Ibadan Crane and Abe Brom. Bones. They stood together reading the invitation posted on the Board of the general store side by side they made quite the odd pair. It Kabad was tall and thin with heavy Alicia glasses and a pinched smug expression on his face. Brom was nearly as tall but much broader with rough features a working man's scarred hands. Boy said Brom bones that Katrina sure as a beauty and smart as a whip to she'd make one fine wife. ACAPA glanced at Brom with a smirk and pushed his glasses, backup his slender hooked nose. Quite right said abroad but I wouldn't think too much on her if I were you good fellow an educated gentlewoman like Miss Van Tassell surely wouldn't be interested in a stone cutter I'm sure she would much prefer the company of an educated man of quiet refinement. He adjusted his spotless suitcoat. Suppose you're talking about yourself said Brom rolling his eyes. Now that you mention it, I would be a perfect match for the girl. After all I am the schoolteacher, a lettered man of good birth and the smartest man in all of sleepy. Hollow. And I'm some kind of dummy just because I work with my hands you saying I'm not good enough. A Kabad gave a thin smile practically dripped with haight. Oh. No you're good enough for some farmers daughter perhaps but I'll warn you brom tonight I will win the hand of Miss Van Tassell and you'd be wise not to get in my way. Brom. Curled his hands into fists. So mad he thought he might pop but somehow he managed to get himself under control. Knocking the lanky schoolteacher into the mud would probably feel good but it wouldn't win him the affection of Katrina van. Tassell. The school bell rang and it turned and walked back into the building calling out to his students as he went. The schoolteacher thought he was better than everyone in town someone needed to teach him a little humility and was starting to think that he was just the man for the job. That night Brom, road his inky black plow horse down the dark and wooded road towards the Van Tassell estate. The towering evergreens reached high into the sky and brushed each other above the road branches rustling in menacing tone and blocking out all but the occasional flicker of moonlight. Curse night said Brom slipping from the Saddle and guiding his horse to the side of the road better light the lantern before I ride into a tree. From his saddlebag, he pulled an old iron oil lamp and set it on the ground. He pulled out his flint and steel to get the flame going. But stopped does he heard a voice drifting down the road accompanied by the steady Klopp of a well shod horse it was Issad. Brom realized after a moment recognizing the voice. Great. Just great. He pulled back a little ways into the trees hoping the cocky teacher would ride on by and avoid any more unpleasant conversation. As Brom waited among the pines for to pass, he realized the teacher was singing. His voice was high and shaky soprano. I'm scared of call, plan sneaks and spooks. Sandwich nuts and Kooks, I'm scared. Falsify your roast but most of all, I'm scared of ghosts. Yes. Most of all, I'm scared. I'm scared of band. She's shades and souls Hans inspectors. ORCs bowls, I'm scared. Spa Your roast but most hull I'm scared of coast. Yes. Most of all, I'm scared. Oh i. From.

Thanks enjoy the episode. Bending and breaking. Once upon a time, there was a marshy brook. It was in a wild place where kids would come to catch frogs during the day and firefly's in jars when they came glowing at night when the kids weren't around, the Marsh was alive with buzzing insects and swooping birds and bumbling groundhog's the waters of the Brook gurgle slowly and happily downstream parting around a field of slender cattail reeds, whenever the cool spring breezes blew, the reads would bend low, and they'd sing as the wind whipped around them. And swings changed long from distance, strange making dance. are scenes to sewing. Ground, Overhead shading all the rest was a single giant oak, his trunk was thick and gnarled as an ogre's leg, and his broad branches spread high and green in a swaying ceiling of leaves. The Oak was old much older than the reads and the grass and the frogs, and he didn't think much about all their bustling. The tree remembered how things used to be, and he wished they just stay the same like heated the oak to stand solid, and when the cool spring breezes blew, he didn't move uninjured. He would look at the cattail tale reads and shake his branches disappointed, and his deep voice would rumble on out. All you others dozen sway leading the wins have it's way better. All to stay same roulette, your Shah. The spring gave way to summer. The cat grew tall with their bushy brown tops, and they babbled to each other every time the wind so much as rustled. They talked about the kids who would play tag in the grass. They talked about the new batch of Tadpoles had hatched, and we're wriggling around in the water, growing into little frogs as they watched, they even talked about the old oak, noticing how he never bent or bowed no matter how the winds raged. Paul Look at you old oak, grumpy year than a worm in the sun. They laugh. You GotTa, Ben, sometimes otherwise you'll break. We swear you haven't changed in years. Wall shows what you know. Rumbled the OAK. I've never bent. An I haven't changed in decades. Oh! What are decades asked? The reads who came back new every year her. A decade is ten years the OAK said. I've seen more decades than you've seen tad polls. And you've still never changed. They giggled. Why do you keep that neck so stiff? They asked referring to the old oaks, thick gnarled trunk. All. Why don't you have the strength to stay? In one place you let the winds boss you around all day and night the oak rumbled back. The winds blow west, and the winds blow east, and you've been whatever way they move. You just go with the flow. Yeah the winds blow West, and the winds blow eastern. We just go with the flow, agreed the cat tale. Reeds and we get to see what's to the West. And then we see what's to the east, and we spread our seeds, and we learn and now and grow. o, the, old oak, waved a branch better to have a stiff, necked and a week back. Who wants to learn when you can stand solid where you've always been casting your shadow? The truth was that the old oak had been flexible ones, but he'd quickly hardened as he grew older, that was way back before any of the cattails could remember, and it really seemed like the oak had forgotten all about that time to now he was solid as a rock roots, deep and firmly set in his ways. Just then a summer storm blew over the marshy brook. The wind came as a steady bluster, washing over the grass, and sending the frogs into the water for cover. The cat tale reads bent under the breeze. Singing as the air went wild around them. A Distance strange bagging on dancing. Are Seem to. Ground. The old oak felt the wind, but he ignored it. It blew and pushed and whipped, and the old gnarled trunk didn't budge not bending so much as an inch shore, his branches creek, and his leaves rustled, but the oak stayed firm he watched the cat tale, read singing, and blowing in the breezes again, and could only scoff. Let them dance and spread their seeds. The Old Oakwood stay where he was dominating the Marsh, refusing to grow so much as an acorn. All you others sway letting. Way Better always to stay the same rule. Watch your shot Okla.. The summer storm finally faded away, and the cat tale reads sprang up again bobbing happily they heard the old oaks old song and try it again to talk him. Old Oh they. GotTa Bend sometimes otherwise you'll break. The strong, never been never move never change. The old bristled your week to the wayward wins. Hewlett every breeze, bend your backs and spread your seeds to distant places all Willy Nilly. How we're adaptable, laughed, the reads. We may blow with the changing winds, but we always find our police again. It's good to be flexible, and it's definitely good to change who we do it every year and.

"Right now. Hey Hey seen shouted tracking Alicia down by Song. What's your problem? You made me look like a liar. I told you I'm shy. She said peeking out from under a leaf pile. You didn't listen to me. How is this my fault? You couldn't sing a little for my friends. Zane said kicking at the leaves. Come off on I keep telling you. I don't like singing in front of people. The Tortoise said back. I can only sing in front of you because you will happen to walk by every day. Well I wanNA bring you for show. And Tell Zine said no one has anything as cool as a singing turtle again tortoise. Whatever you'll be the coolest and I'll be the coolest and everyone will love it. No I don't want to Alicia said I'm sorry well don't be sorry. Zane said because you're coming. I'll stop by Friday morning to pick you up. Please don't Friday morning. He said show Intel. Don't forget the next day. Zane told the rest of his class. What he was bringing in for show and tell they all thought he was crazy but he promised them it was true Friday morning on the way to school he stopped to pick up a leash the tortoise rise and shine let's go to school. He called into the woods. She wasn't there. Hey He called kicking at the leaves and looking in the logs. It's show and tell time where are you? He hunted all over and couldn't find her. Finally he had to give up and head to school when it was his turn to show and tell he slunk to the front of the class. And where is your? The teacher looked down at a piece of paper on her lap. Singing Turtle Toy. Zane looked up at the rest of the class. He had never been in front of so many people at once before even though they were all his friends and classmates he found his belly began to flip. He felt calm a moment before but being they're exposed in front of everyone he felt naked. His body tensed up and he found he couldn't speak. Zane felt his cheeks burn. A few of his classmates began to snicker. It was too much. The embarrassment the crowd his belly he turned and walked out the classroom door shutting it behind him. He started for the bathroom but as teacher caught up with him in the hall. Zane expected to get in trouble but the teacher only smiled at him kindly. Public speaking can be tough. She said leaning down to look him in the eye. In fact it's always tough. I once froze up at a funeral for my nieces goldfish. I got so nervous. I couldn't even speak. Luckily the toilet was there to bail me out. Zane laughed a little okay. She said the days almost over. Why don't you go to the nurse to calm down OK? Zane said relief flooding through him to go from the sudden terror of being in front of a crowd to this. It was like drinking a big glass of milk after eating warm chocolate chip cookies. He made his way to the nurse's office were they had him lie down for a few minutes as he settled back. Zane thought again about show and tell and how scared he felt in front of a crowd that turtle he said to himself if she had just common saying I wouldn't have had to be in front of everyone. He crossed his arms over his face and imitated her voice. Oh I can't go. I'm too shy in front of crowds. He realized what he was saying as it came out of his mouth the poor turtle tortoise she hated that too and he had tried to force her to do it anyway. She kept saying no and he had ignored her over and over because he'd only been thinking about himself. Why hadn't he thought about her feelings? Did other people remember to think about everyone? Else's feelings all the time the rest of the day seemed to pass in slow motion. Finally the students were dismissed and Zane started to run home. He pounded across the blacktop and didn't stop until he made it to the woods. He stood there for a moment among the trees hands on his knees panting to catch his breath. Alicia Tortoise Turtle he called Alicia. I'm so sorry I should've listened. I'm sorry I tried to make you come to show until when you kept telling me. No I'm sorry. I tried to make you sing. There was silence. I'm sorry he said again knowing he'd found something wonderful and worried he'd scare it away. I won't ever bother you again. He said I promise he turned and started walking. It was useless. He thought to himself she had probably already moved on to sing and another piece of woods. One without any annoying kids nearby. I should have listened when she said she didn't WANNA sing. He thought Zane side is. The trees began to thin then soft but shore over the crunch of his footsteps. A Scott dead dead do Do Dude how as did Eighty Zoo? Zane stopped at the edge of the woods. Listening to the song when it was finished he smiled and kept on heading home. The end today story. The menace of the meadows and the dark demon of the trees she had spent her younger years running down darting hurting dear biting birds from their neat little nests and eating just about everything that crawled swam flu huffed hopped slithered third or stumbled into her view. The Wolf remembered those days fondly and thought of them often she remembered the lie then skillful. Predator she had once been remembered the youthful reflection she used to see when she peeked into ponds and puddles now when she looked at herself herself. She looked different. When did I get so old. She asked out loud one morning examining herself. In the glow of the early sunlight it feels like no time has passed at all but it must have because now her dark ferber was frosted with the icy kiss of age her earth churning paws were thin and warn her once keen ears felt packed full of wool. We'll and she could no longer smell adult on the wind. She growled at herself and the sun's rays glinted her killer. Teeth seems like these is pearly whites are about the only thing I've got that still works sure she was missing a few here and there but none that she needed and her jaw aw still snapped shut with the power of a bear trap so a can't run and I can't sneak but I can definitely still bite h this old girls still got it. All I need is some easy prey. She founded on Maggie's farm. It was a small farm on the edge of the woods run by the farmer Maggie herself she grew pumpkins and some corn and boasted a small Apple Orchard Word but Maggie's pride and joy were her sheep. They were tall and hardy with wool so thick and white and fluffy Fi. It looked like the clouds themselves had come down to rest from the sky. When Maggie took her wool to the market people lined up for miles to buy hi it everyone agreed that Maggie's wool made the finest coats sweaters and blankets around and the socks from her sheep would stay dry even in in a downpour. It was all that beautiful wool that drew the wolf's attention. No she said to herself self drool already dripping from the sides of her mouth. I bet those lambs are meaty under all that fluff her stomach rumbled bold with hunger but the sheep were all locked away in Maggie's pasture and none of them ever seen to get loose and wander the wolf's way well they. They can't get out but maybe I can get in so she gave it a try. The problem was every time she got close. Maggie would chaser chaser away with her big iron shovel. The Wolf tried to slink in during the day and she got chased away. She tried to slip in carefully at night and she got chased away. She tried to wait for the farmer to head to the market but Maggie was careful to lock her sheep away in the barn whenever she left left. Why is this so difficult. I used to eat so well when I was just a young pup. If I had known it would get so much harder in my old old age I would have stored some meals away for later like the squirrels desperate and hungry old wolf was about to give up and look for or an easier meal but then she found the sweater it was extra large knitted from Maggie's best snowiest will will it was meant for the prince's royal great Dane One of the largest dogs in the kingdom unfortunately for the chilly pop it had fallen off Maggie's aggies wagon and blown into the brush by the side of the road fortunately for the wolf she found it before the moths did and she carried it off a a plan brewing in her mind. I can't sneak in Maggie is too careful and her big iron shovel is just too big and iron an but maybe if I looked like I belong I can blend in with a whole pack of growls and Yao oils and snarls. The Wolf managed to fight her way into the cloudy. Puffy marshmallow white wool of the sweater it hung droopy down her arms and legs the the thick turtleneck collar pulled up over her face with a little bit of wiggling and fussing. She managed to look nearly almost basically yeah exactly like a sheep. Oh if only there was a puddle I could look in now..

There was a hungry old old lion. She considered herself queen of the woods and all that she saw was hers to eat munch chew and just generally league devour and also once upon a time deep in that same forest. There was a hungry old bear he thought he he was the king of the woods and all that he saw was his to eat crunch slurp and just generally gobble. Maybe you can see were this is going. They both ruled their little pieces of forest eating what they pleased and doing what they liked. Until one day they crossed paths in a clearing in the woods. It wasn't any place special not normally at least that day though some humans had passed through for a picnic they packed in all sorts of meats and sweets and delicious snacks but when they left they forgot their wicker picnic basket it was smallish with a long looping handle but the lion and the bear both smelled it from miles away and hurried hurried right over the lion burst through the brush regal head hi sniffing at the air <hes> up picnic nick basket. She heard what a lovely surprise. Humans always leave. The best meets behind. Oh i think i smell salami. She prowled into the clearing from the other side. The a great shaggy bear barreled through his own brush turning his head from side to side whoa smell human food he he rumbled smell apples and chickpeas and crunchies for free salami and cheeses and napkins for me. He lumbered into the clearing at exactly the same time. As the lion the two big hungry lords of the forest froze <music>. I each other usually they'd scare competition off with a growl but they were equally sized both angry and suspicious. They stared at each other across the empty ground. Oh sorry bare but this picnic basket is spoken in for the lion said why don't you run along and go find some nuts and berries and trash. You know their food. The bear grumbled and humped whole bear. Food is whatever food abair wants to eat. He he said proudly are and she was supposed to be chasing down on antelope or something. Leave the picnic baskets to the experts and wrought along back to your litterbox. Now the lion was grumbling and growling litterbox. I'm the queen of this replace cooing on the carrying the forest they continued to bicker in the trees above a a large raven landed lightly on a limb she too had smelled the human food and had come to do a little scavenging. She watched for while just waiting. The bigger animals would have to have their fill before she could chance swooping down and she was getting impatient pay. She squawked at them from safely high above of course why don't you guys just share. Let lie and take the need and bear you take the rest. Maybe leave some big crumbs for me your friend the raven that way we all win the great beasts looked up at her stunned and someone would interrupt. Hey who even asked you the bare grumbled. Don't you have some shiny junk to collect. This is a private discussion. The lion agreed take your beak and go stick it. In someone else's business yes well all right then the ravens said and flap to another tree wall. That's a start grumbled the bear now you fly away home to little kitty little kitty. The lion purred dangerously. You have you know a refined defined feline a gold and hunting queen and fury no way <hes> my supper. You'll see royalty at me. You don't wanna see me. No no no. I a.

Once upon a time, there was a poor old couple named Mr. and MRs hack tack. They lived in China in a little village alongside the mountains every day they would go out and farm there. Little plot of green amidst the rocky soil when they were lucky enough to have extra Mr. hack attack would take it to a local market and trade it for luxuries, like oil for their lamps or cotton for new warm clothes. It was a simple life and when the weather was bad, they would often go hungry. This was their life until one day. When Mr. hack attack was digging deep in his garden, wearing his work clothes and his favourite sunhat woven by his wife. He's slammed down his shovel and instead of the usual earthy chunk, there was a deep ball, like striking a gong. What in the world. Mr. hack attack said he dropped. His knees and Doug carefully with his hands. Soon, he exposed the side of a big brass pot twinkling in the sunlight, with a cry of joy. He dug faster his rough hands, throwing up big clods of dirt until with a great heave of effort. That made his back crackle and pop. He heaved the pot from the ground. Ooh, he said he fell onto his, but the pot fell onto his lap and his hat fell into the pot, free of the dirt. It was even bigger than he first thought bigger than his biggest stupas not nearly as big as his washtub. Dear my dear, he called out, come come, see what I've found, what's all the commotion? MRs hack attack. Yelled back throwing open the front door. Oh, my sweet husband. Where did you find that? It's a wonder. It's a treasurer, a pot like that is worth lamp oil for year and what's that inside Mr. hack tax stood up and pulled his hat out from the pot. It's just my hat. It fell off my head. MRs hack tack peaked inside and what's that other thing? Oh, Mr. hack tax said reaching inside again, what in the world? He pulled out another hat just like the first. How did that happen? MRs hack tack, asked leaning over to peer into the pot as she did her hairpin. In fell in her long silver hair flowing down her shoulders. Oh, my hairpin. She said, reaching in and pulling it out when she stood up. Again, she held out her hand and two hairpins rested in her palm. Nick. She cried a magic doubling pot. Mr. hack tack replied. They carried the pot into the house and set it onto their kitchen table mud and all we have to try something else misses hack tax said. And Mr. hack tack went and found their favorite blanket. It was wide and long and cozy, and they had often wished for another when the bitter cold winds roll down from the mountain, he bundled it up as tight as he could and pushed it into the pot. Now what he asked, I think we just have to pull it out again, said MRs, hack tack, tugging out the blanket. She pulled and pulled and it kept coming Mr. hack Taxol corner and grabbed it and pulled as well. And after a minute, they were both holding a copy of the blanket. It worked husband, my dear fetch me, you. Purse from the market Mr. hack tax stumbled to the bedroom and found his small leather purse with a few coins jingling in the bottom. You think this will work think one will be empty. He asked eyeing his wife. What do we have to lose? She asked taking the person throwing it into the pot with a trembling hand, Mr. hack tack reached in the pot. So big. He was in it up to his shoulder. Well, well, MRs hack tack asked grinning, bright as a sunrise, Mr. hack tack pulled out to jingling purses. He dumped them onto the table and clanking coins spilled out of both. Wonderful said Mr. hack tack. If only we had more things to double if only we had some fresh fruit and meat. So we didn't have to be so hungry. Think my dear husband MRs hack tax said, we just doubled our money. We went from four to eight. We can buy all the food and the meat that we need. We do not have to wait. Next, we'll go to the market, but we don't have to buy a lot. All the need is to get one part of a pair because with our magic pot. Weekend, plunk one thing inside it and without some big to do, we can close your eyes or keep them lied in the pot will make it too. Of course, we do. To everything. Double double the fund, double the food, double. Our lights bid. Single pleasure. Now this magic pod has given well doble measures, and we'll have to two of everything. Everything. Double the wealth, double the fun, double the food, double. And well, who knows if I lock will hold. We've worked hard on our whole life through. So this reward be home. Now have two of everything to have everything. Double the wealth. Dabale the phone, double the food, all the.

"Asked the mayor. Hi, everyone replied, And the next day much like the rats before them, a swarm of rat catchers descended on the city armed with cages and traps, and Bates, and poison and nets. They began their work. They tracked rats in the Kitchens. They bagged rats in the factories. They scoops them up by the dozens in their nets. And at the end of the day when their work was done, there were more rats than ever before. What is this cried? The mayor? How is this possible? After a few minutes of excited whispering, they made their decision. All right Pied Piper, the mayor said, The Except your offer. And for a single quiet day, all was well in the village. The morning after that though the village awoke to a strange Melody floating in the air. It was neither fast nor slow, neither loan or high.
