But we were looking at pictures for several minutes of President Biden, along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, flanked by the American secretary of state. Anthony Blinken and the minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei La Evolve, Uh and that, uh, the press has been been issued out of that room and we're about to start some talks there in Geneva will have much more coming out throughout the morning and the day Here on Wdbo Does that summit begins there in Geneva? I spotted this story this morning. At another state to the list of those were college athletes will be allowed to profit from their names and likenesses. Let's go in depth because we love it When you guys understand the stories we're telling you about every day like to Jim Ryan and Jim. Texas is the latest state to do this in a lot of controversy about this over the last few years, But Texas is the latest tell us about it. Yeah, it is. Florida, of course, joined California is one of the early states to do this, but that was only a couple of years ago. This whole movement has really caught fire within just the last year and a half four. So now in 19 states are involved. They've all passed individual laws which allow their student athletes college athletes to be paid for their names. Images enlightening the n I L is what these laws are called. They allow student athletes to sell their autographs, for example, to endorse products to appear in commercials and be paid for it. Of course, they won't be able to weather school logos. They the schools are very particular about that kind of thing, protecting their own images and their own copyrights. By by the way, Nancy DeLay has taken a stand on it, but they're going to meet in a couple of weeks. To decide do what the formal policy will be. In the meantime, Scott critics say that states like Florida and Texas in Alabama and the the others, many of them as you see schools and states have an unfair advantage in recruiting high school athletes from around the country. Yeah, yeah, no doubt about it, and that's why it's so controversial because what we're talking about here Jim is the potential of shoe deals and endorsements and autograph sessions at local auto dealers so far. With and so on. So you're you're talking about potentially very sticky situation in the future with with, you know, maybe the starting quarterback getting all these endorsements in the backup to the backup center getting nothing right? Well, right or you know, for example, Texas A and M having the ability to recruit based on the fact that their students might be played might be paid for their services not not for their services but for their images. But at LSU. That law has not been passed. And so students there. The Tigers can't make that same sort of deal. Nobody's on track really to become a millionaire.
