"Is that true? No, I'm not homeless. I'm just Helpless. It's a little bit of the new movie that's called Nomad Land. I think it's one of the best movies of the year. So far we've had, you know lots of different movies. But this one, I promise you we're gonna be talking about this Come Oscar time in April, and probably the Golden Globes, which are A week from today. I'd be shocked if this movie didn't win a number of awards for its cinematography, which is gorgeous. For Frances McDormand, who is amazing in this movie like she has amazing and everything that she does. This story, which is about A ah woman who? Her she lives in a small town. In Nevada and lives in a small town. One of these small towns were one factory employees, everybody, so when this factory goes belly up during the recession, everybody's out of a job. On and people leave and move. You know, they just abandoned this small town, she becomes a widow. On and decides that she's going to leave also packs her things into a van. What should we know what she thinks that she absolutely needs, packs a minivan and hits the road. And decides to just, you know, Live it. RV parks live at the recreational sites getting jobs, You know, temporary jobs along the way. Just tow. Make a little bit of money to survive, and it's the most interesting story of survival. It is a fascinating story of these people who really do live like this. They decide to chuck their conventional life and live on the road, whether it's in a fancy RV or a trailer. Or in a tent. You know, they backed the car up there one of these parks and live in a tent. And there's sort of a community of these people that Frances McDormand's character, you know, becomes Part of it's so interesting to listen to these stories tear why people decide to live this life going from temporary job to temporary job and the relationships that they have for one another and the love that they have. For one another. But this is this is a woman who has escaping the very painful hand. That life has dealt her And dealing with it straight on dealing with it, You know, living her life the way that she wants to live your life. The story and the acting in this are Oscar worthy They actually did use people who are real life nomads. I guess we would call them people who actually do this. Some of the characters in this movie are those people never had any acting experience before and were Amazing. Uh, I can't recommend this movie enough. It's AH, Give it a dean's list. A. There is another new Syriza's. That's out. This week on Amazon Prime that's called Tell me your secrets. In which the characters in the stories centered about a woman who was in witness protection. After it turns out that she had an affair with a man who was a serial killer. So it's about those two and other characters in this link, you know, just trying to sort it all out, Lily Rabe. Amy Brenneman Brennaman Hamish Linklater, who was Julia Louis Dreyfus, his brother and the new Adventures of Old Christine and an actor by the name of Enrique Marciano. Who is the cousin of Marianne Marciano, husband to Bob Surat. So Bob Seurat's cousin in law, Also in this movie is quite good. Kevin James has a brand new TV series out that is on Netflix. It is the Tell me your secrets Serious by the way. Amazon Prime on Netflix is Kevin James New series called the Crew. Where is the crew chief of a NASCAR team? For documentaries this week. There is a six part docuseries that explores the 14th amendment to the U. S Constitution. That guarantees liberty and equal protection for all it was ratified in 18 68. So it really applies to the then newly freed slaves. Will Smith and Larry Wilmore host this They bring to life, the speeches and philosophies of people like Dr Martin Luther King and Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Frederick Douglass and many others That's also on Netflix. On HBO. Tonight There will be a new documentary, Syria's that'll begin called Alan versus Pharaoh. Which takes a look at the battle. That's been going on. It's got to be for over 20 years now between Woody Allen and Mia Farrow. On the allegations of sexual abuse of their daughter, Dylan Farrow. It's been written about by Dylan. Bye. Uh, the whole family. The pharaoh family, uh, cooperated with the making of this film. Woody Allen did not He said that everything that he has to say about this, he has already said it has nothing else to add to it, but it's a topic of interest for some people. So I know that you may want to catch that on HBO. That's tonight at eight o'clock. If you want something completely at the opposite end of seriously a teary awhile all five seasons of the Muppet show. Have just been moved over to Disney. Plus, so you get all the shows that we grew up with watching, Plus. These also include the UK versions of the show the skits. There were only seen in great Britain, not in the United States, so there will be some new material there. And finally, there is also on Disney. Plus, there is AH movie that's called Flora and Ulysses. That follows a 10 year old little girl who just happens to have a pet squirrel that has superpowers. You know, so it's a true story. Of course, it's you know, plotline in what happens doesn't really matter so much with this. There's lots of kid action. You know this stuff like little kids, I think alike. More than the older ones. I gave it a dean's list. See, but you know, that's Uncle Dean's view of it. I think the kid's probably will like it a little more. One of the stars of this movie is Alyson Hannigan. Who you you know, may know Best from how I met your mother from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or she was the bad lady girl in the American pipe movie. Syriza's Remember back in band camp. You know, and she would tell these stories. We talked a little bit about that, and we talked a lot about her new movie called Flora and Ulysses. Movies like this really are sort of the perfect kind of movies, aren't they for the times in which we're living right? Absolutely. I totally agree. And that is exactly what my husband and I said after we watched it with our kids. Like this is what everyone needs right now. Yeah. What do you What do you think it does? For people? You know who are? You know, I've been trapped in their houses for a year. Basically, pretty much getting nothing but bad news on the news from us. Absolutely. Well, I think for for us, it was just such a nice escape, and it was something that That our kids thoroughly enjoyed that. So did we. Where it wasn't just okay. We're sitting here watching what they wanna watch. Just the weekend. I'm family time. It was like we genuinely all laughed out loud. And by the way, I meet watching anything I've been so for me. This was like Like a whole new experience, because I really just was so engrossed in it. And and just, like, got toe sort of. Forget that I was even part of it. So, so that was really amazing for May. Yeah. Is it? Uh, sort of a fun escape for you as an actress to do something like this, as opposed to? Not not that you've been. It's like super heavy dramas. Really?.

"The Tiger Queen Herself Carol Basketball get ready. You cool. Cats hit who I didn't watch tiger king because I couldn't do that to myself but she definitely like probably maybe or at least is murdering. Sketchy type, which means she also could fall into the category that is not listed here, but I think exist on dancing stars, which is someone famous who has served time like an OJ Simpson type. but that could be her too. So next we have bachelor person slash long running reality TV show person. So we have for this one we have Kaitlyn Bristowe who is from the bachelor and she was the bachelorette pretty. Damn we have retired sports star, and for that we have superbowl champion Vernon Davis NBA star Charles Oakley. It's a pretty big one considering that's Pretty And then we have Olympic figure skater and on air commentator someone who had shocked has not been on dancing with the stars Johnny wear. Shot that that blew my mind that he was a first timer he might just it back. he also falls under Olympics person current past because Olympics in sports retired sports, star kind of different because sometimes the Olympics people are like recent Olympics people not retired like people were just in the Olympics. Okay. Like Simone biles or something exactly next we have. An we have older TV, slash film actress name recognition, but vintage for that we have TV and film actress I would say. One of the biggest guests of this season. UFO Lover. Ellen DeGeneres ex girlfriend and Hash. What was her name? What was her alienating Oko? That's something you should know. Oh my God celestial Oma got. So they been celestial to the dancing with the stars but what's great about dancing with the stars kind? I'm really like for some reason really watch the biggest stan. No but I think sometimes what they do, which is really funny as they theme the dances to the person. So if they do an alien dance for her if they do T. by Katy Perry's featuring Kanye West I will die. Okay. Keep going. Did she Like sort of renounce her sort of A. Alien stuff like kind. If you asked her about it now it seems like it might got. To she got shamed by too. So I think she kind of like stepped back from it. Maybe you know she didn't lean into it. Okay. Next we have somebody young and cool could like be a tiktok person. This is me just thinking. So for that one, they have Disney channel actress and honestly meam she's true. Jackson Sky Jackson Young. Yes. You'll. Then we have vintage music purse. Okay. Well, then we have somebody who actually doesn't really fit any my categories who is actress Machado from one day at a time. Who is very popular? Yeah maybe she's the mom category, but that's not really a category anyways because she's calling on TV that's the thing that didn't really fit into my categories universal Lille like. Family friendly family. Family Friendly TV star family friendly currency that would be a cameron beret type but although she's been doing to or you know or if. Modern family were still on the air. It's the sort of thing where they would throw in like those ABC sitcoms. If they put Patricia Heaton on the show or ball, she was only in the middle they. Jewelry. Older TV, film actress named got. Blonde woman. WHO's The star of modern family right right. Right. What whatever her name is. Yeah. We don't know her name more. Okay. Then we have vintage music person boy band or the like and that we have backstreet boys, Aj McLean, and Nellie. Calling him a vintage music person. Both of these people is accurate, but also feels so funny I know and I would say that maybe Nellie is like one of the more. Famous people on this list. Yeah if you. Break it down non unleash. Nelly I would I wouldn't even call a WHO like Nelly? Nelly. He wasn't like a flash in the last year talking about. 'CAUSE Nellie was also famous in the early two thousand never stopping being famous. Was Thinking about La- last week we're talking about. He's on. Right now, but he's Nellie. Okay. So Then, we have talk show personality, slash anchorman, slash host of some kind we have. Catfish Nieves Schulman and Emmy Award winning host of the real inside leg correspondent for holy-moly Jeannie my personal who weekly favorite she is born for dancing with the stars. Then what few people of a camera more than Genie Ma is really and then we have finally somebody who I'm pretty sure. We guess would be on dancing with the stars former heartthrob aimed at millennials specifically that's an age range we're looking for here is actor who we just literally mentioned Jesse Metcalfe whose zoomed in. You Premiere will be appearing on dancing with the stars I love it I love it and there are some categories that were missing from this lineup that I would argue are sometimes on dancing with the stars, which is Semi Obscure Radio Personality, which is weird but it's happened like bobby bones. Then, we did all these categories. Then, we have former pinup slash hawk girl playboy model like somebody who was hot a model old model type, Shit Claudia, chef, type Then we have tech entrepreneur. This actually might only apply to one person ever in the history, which is Steve Wozniak and that was. Right. and. Then we have a true cursed category, which is embarrassed. Republican politician which was like Spicer Rick Perry. This is kind of the most wildcard category because it makes you feel bad and dancing with stars really doesn't want to make anyone feel bad. Then we have the final category which is not in this put your shocking, which is just straight up nepotism. Chaz Libre Chaz. Bono. Just Bono's weren't thinking of, but there are plenty of them so. I wanted I put put up a challenge to bobby to take my categories and make his own and these make his own lineup of dancing with the stars and I'll do two and these are people who have not been on it who are who you're kind of like.

"You're waited okay. So my topic is nine okay. So here's my topic so rick. Moranis has come back after fucking ever from not being in movies. Decided he didn't want to be moved to be a dad. Dad was actually real tragic happened right anyone with his kids and raise his kids. And that's wonderful and it's really sweet and wonderful anything that's great but nobody's been able to get him back for anything and nobody's been able to convince him to do anything but by the way. I want to say like ten years ago. Maybe a little less. He did like a country album and then he went on Conan and performed. I remember it was a big deal to me to be like. I need to see. Rick Rinus performed country music and comedy country or something. I don't know anyone is very Steve Martin with the Banjo. Yeah so anyway Serena says coming back for this movie very cool very awesome. So what so my question to you guys? Who is an actor that you haven't seen in forever that you'd love to see come back for something or just just come back and to help you? I have a list Rick. Marinas would be my number one. Yeah so totally but yeah let's blow through. I have a list of of thirty three actors who have kind of not done anything along. The rule is that they are alive. Correct yes they are live without their list even coming up. I'd like to see Sean Connery appearance. It's nice but he's not high on just the first one that came to my my head. That's great he'd be good. I mean I it might have been legally giving right. Yeah because he hated that but I loved it. He didn't WANNA come back for any four. They they tried to get him to come back and he wouldn't do it. Can you give me some? Yeah Tobey Maguire wait. What will they set up? I mean they're saying he has. They're saying he hasn't been in a movie in years in years. I can't wait Melissa. Mccarthy makes a comeback. They're saying right. Here is Cameron Diaz K. Monique Remember Monique. She's great yeah Jack Nicholson Yeah. He's been absent for a bit but it's kind of like it's one of those things where it's a reminder of time passes and it's kind of sad and he's so far not what he was. Meg Ryan I would like to see A. I would like to see Todd Phillips. Do a movie called ridler with Jim Carey. That'd be cool. That'd be I've always said if they brought that character back doing it in like the Nolan Universe or some of these more gritty ones let Jim Carey take another Iraq ridler us. I still liked him. Batman forever like I still think he was. Just a pallet yes neon yeah Ashley Judd. She's Great Alyson Hannigan. She's acting anymore. I don't know Alyson. Hannigan is the host of. Yeah Lewis on. She is a Freddie Prinze Junior. Oh Katherine heigl Kay Kell Mitchell. Though he pops up Kelly mcgillis how many of these people are not acting or choice though? Cates Rick Moranis was a choice. Yeah I mean who knows? I don't feel like all of these people are choice. It's also like the hype is real. Because he's coming back with a title that we all really know about like what if it was like Rick Moranis in like the next triple x? You know yeah or like we would people be. I think people will still be or like what if Rick Renison doing. The guy like the guys did uncut gems like he's doing a movie with those like crazy brothers. Safdie brothers Sapping Gene Hackman. Gene is a good one he retired. Jt before he had passed. Where is jt? Oh yeah he went to Harvard and then not Lawrence boys boys three. So that's right back. Aaron Eckhart is that did he stop. He won't Sheila Acting My hasn't been anything since twenty sixteen. My number one cents. He had passed or before he had passed. Recently was general gene wilder. I wanted to. I wanted to see him in Mel Brooks do one last thing. I also went up for Bob Awesome. Yeah Ball side of hoping I was still holding out for Roger Rabbit. Dsm kind of sequel or something there was there was Disney plus doing something with the Roger Rabbit. Now it'd be really into that. I would love just create shorts randy quaid shorts Randy Quaid's weight loss screaming at the government of Jesse. Eisenberg really counts Patricia. Out in a movie to this is this is. This list is wrong. I mean billy Zane. Yeah do you want to see Billy? Zane get five hundred bucks and he will give you a cameo. Where's Devon Sawa big deal? Yeah back to Devon Sawa in there. Yeah I have mine. What is it? It's Josh Hartnett. Oh He's a great choice. He's he was great and he started eating. A bunch of indie movies went Emilio Estevez had been Kinda MIA for a while. But he's coming back for that Mighty ducks quack I'd like why Donald Glover back to acting Donald Glover be great and comedian a comedic. Wesley Snipes Great. Mike Myers Mike Myers has been in things. But I'd like to see him. Try TO COME BACK. And maybe do a comedy. There's there we're living in such a great time for all that stuff that I wouldn't put it past any of these Paul it's like Oh there's opportunities Galore but then there's also opportunities for them for them to make their passion projects to you know it's not just getting cast. I think it's like hey we gotta fill up all of this stuff. Yeah they're just giving people good deals. What about Sarah Michelle Gellar. Sure find with all. She wasn't a commercial last year. Who is your answer? I mean I guess it is Rick. Moranis for sure but With the uncut gems thing. I wouldn't mind like Dane. Cook ask like if he were to come back in a way that rebranding himself and just like being gritty and dark and not his like trying to recapture what it was before. I think it'd be very fun. Yeah I never had thick Dane Cook. Hey did you guys have Dane? Cook didn't like him. I for the really like Ryan Reynolds. I watched them live at the Improv. For like months at a time. He's really good. Yeah Yeah it was like post all the hate and He still had it a storyteller and a performer. You know so. He knows how to. I think rocket crowd at the end of the day All right well anyway. That's the end of my little topics so if anybody wants to go I'm very excited for Rick. Comeback me too man especially with honey. I shrunk the kids I have. I have a soft spot for those. I'll save my topic for tomorrow. Me Do my podcast. Because it's a little bit more or in the future All right well Mario. Does anybody WANNA say anything else or should we Ramat Aber feeling?.

"The streaming service, which will also include content from Tyler Perry, who inked a massive deal with Viacom back in two thousand seventeen but didn't kick in until may of this year, he will create original series and movies for the platform, as well as other Viacom outlets. And of course, the streaming platform will feature content not just from BT, but other, Viacom brands as well such as. Tv comedy central and VH one. Dan, what do you think? Well, first of all, I think probably first wives club has gone through enough different twists and turns, and Macintoshes in its pre-production and just station process that you wanna take us through it because while it is not yet a designated survivor level of whatever this is a show that has gone through a lot of different forms, and I'm going to be kind of amazed whenever we actually see it as a real thing, at this point, of course, it was originally developed for TV land with Jenny bakes attached as the writer, and that was a script that was picked up and produced as a pilot for TV land. Alyson Hannigan, Megan Hilty were among the stars in that it did not get picked up at TV land. Instead, they redeveloped it. They brought in Tracy Oliver, who co wrote girls trip as Showrunner and her pitch for I knew I lives club. Two point zero was to make it an inclusive take and they picked it up to pilot and then moved over. Over to paramount network after they cast it and they pick it up to series. And then it goes from paramount network to be as part of a big push for scripted originals at BT under that network's new president Scott mills who were, of course, replaced deputy who had been there for three decades. And it was one of the originals within the Viacom portfolio that he really fought to get for T. And then, you know this, this is a show that that's that's been in the can for, I think a year plus production is done. They are done with it. It's basically sitting there waiting for premier date. And now it's going up on this platform that we know pretty much not a lot about. I think it's obviously a brand name. And so that's the thing you want to have. And we've been talking if you listen, an awful lot about all of these different streaming services and kind of how the two things you want to have. When you're starting as you want to have a big brand that is splashy and, and sticky as Pauline might have said back in the day and tasty and delicious, you know, something that will actually get people in the door. But then you also want to have a library and one of the things that's most interesting about this to me is that you have Tyler Perry, but they don't have the Tyler Perry library, and that's the thing where that actually could be a differentiating factor. Like if you were to tell me, okay, here is a platform. It comes a quipped with all of Tyler Perry's TV stuff, and perhaps, maybe some of his movies stuff. I don't know. It's purely hypothetical imaginary. I would say that was actually an Volk. Yeah. Without knowing who produce a lot of the Tyler Perry feature films, his TV series are owned over at own, which is. Owned cable network, so seeing stuff that's owned by a completely different company move over to Viacom that's not going to help definitely definitely not. But that is still as when I hear this news, I go, okay, will it have this crown jewel in the answer, appears to be not. Do we have any sense of why this is the thing that he is doing as BT plus rather than just a Viacom multi network? Streaming platform of their own. I mean we don't know a whole lot about it. I mean, this is something, you know, when I say announced they didn't really this is something this is a story that I've been tracking for more than six months that came to light this week like everyone else. Everyone's preparing for the new world. I mean, this is also a company that, that is making Viacom which is making a massive play for streaming. I'm sure you've seen billboards around town for Pluto TV I can't avoid them. They're everywhere. That's Viacom owned unit.

"Reform we wrap up real quick because we're the last ones in night. It's just some recaps Johnny night. We always read the same roles, and he gets them. Sometimes I get them sometimes Hollywood. And sometimes he can't do the job. And he says try Josh sometimes I can do job. I say try Johnny and type of west film festival. Sometimes we both got these kind of dirty look in mustaches right now that we're trying our best look adult and we both Johnny. We go on the road. Johnny's really good at taking charge and getting the room making sure that things are actually taking care of. And and then I'm not good at much else on the road. Right. And you fighting grandpa to show. Oh, yeah. I'm good inviting like, you know, my grandparents, and then telling jokes things about I know prime minister wrap it up. Okay. We got a wrap it up. All right. Was it was probably about two thousand six we went to this look nice Hollywood party. And somehow we didn't know what time you have to be this party. And that's how. That goes it's just Hollywood you kind of. So for meet me there, and you're like, they're not even here right now. I don't know anyone. I'm a wallflower. I that. Some big. I think it was maybe like Charlie Chaplin's old house. Exactly. Yeah. So it was. Happens. I don't know what I was intimidated backstory before this ob- from one to the party. I had the dumb idea. I'll have a big burrito. Yeah. And then parallel to that. I had a big ole helping of chicken Tikka masala. So we get to this big party. And first thing I see is I'm like days. Days. Like, he's watching. I'm by myself. I'm like weird here. Oh my God. Is that Rachel Bill sin? So I'm like, oh, I'm in the right spot. Gosh, I'm standing wait a second. "Podcast become a patron become become one of the exclusive Fanta maniacs who gets access to the recordings of our musical episodes. And with that until next time. Some day. I will come back. My name's Taylor. Have you seen? Veronica Mars may the phantom be with you. Well, the funny thing about Alyson Hannigan. And here's another random thing that I need to talk to my therapist about is that she charge by the hour. Nick. I'm going to Bill your insurance when she was in when she was in high school and college and stuff like that. She looked so much like Alyson Hannigan. She still does to a point. But like there were there were times that people were like, oh my gosh. Alyson hannigan. She's like, I'm not Alyson Hannigan like she or people would be like come up, and they you look just like willow, and she, you know, she had spiky hair. And like, she, you know, like the way she dressed in and stuff. And so as one of those funny things like. You know, it's like wait was it was I attracted to Lena because she looks like willow or Bob or am I attracted to Elson hand again because she looks like Lena, I think I actually honestly think it's the the other way like the way that you just said, I think that I am more attracted to Alyson Hannigan now because she looks likely because I didn't watch Buffy when I was in denies you marry. It was scheduled ganger. I was scared. I was I I did not like scary things. Like, I I I found Buffy too scary. When I was in high in junior, high went let's like when it first came out. I was like this is a little too creepy for me. And it wasn't until I got married. That I actually watched the whole series. And Lena Lena was like I think you'd really like this show. And so I literally just benched the whole thing over a year or so I don't know how long it took me. I think I was watching avatar at the same time. So I'd like switched between the two. It's. And then they got to the daily part. And is it was it was dark all around. Well, and I remember specifically like I would watch it before I went to bed and I would call scared. Well, no like, I would constantly fall asleep before the episode was over because I I used to watch it on my ipod. So I had an ipod video when they first came out. I talked about how I listened or I used to work at a Apple computer store, and you were the one who by hat. I was one of the people that bought that. And so I would watch it on the little screen on my I've had video and I would just put the episodes on on my ipod, and I put I put headphones in. So it didn't bother Lena. And I remember specifically so many times being woke up woken up by that stupid music episode. The end of Buffy the end credits of Buffy is like the loudest. It's very jarring jarring ridiculous thing. That's like I'd be like in the slumber. And then all of a sudden, it's like. Wake up all the time. And so what? Yeah, it didn't actually deter from my like love of Buffy. Because unusually what I'd end up doing is being like, oh, I missed half the episode. And then I'd go back and watch the part I missed and then stop it immediately before it started because. Yeah. Anyway, covert coming in what's up, buddy? You gotta go and talk to mama, buddy. Because I'm recording. You close the door all the way. Nope. Okay. Hang up. Argh..

"He says, they're designed to fool other magicians, and it's ridiculous. This one where he basically is able to the stick is that he memorize is a random shuffling of cards. And at the the punchline of it, I mean, we don't know how he did it, but he he would appear to have memorized the cards. So he recites all fifty two and all the sites he, he's, he's able to find. I don't wanna spoil his thing, but he's able to get you are convinced that he did in fact memorize. Well, it's it's, that was pretty good. And then we saw just a feat of human mind more than like the thing. So. So you go, he goes through all the cards in like thirty seconds. So yes, that would be impressive. That's what he did to see this because I'm not gonna lie you you explaining it is not very clear to me that's pulling out of his mouth and then reciting. I don't want to. I mean. I mean now no offense, but it's like you telling us that trick is almost as bad as guaranteeing about his dream. That's how unsatisfying your story, dreaming. Pepper? Yeah, Deanna, I shook my head sadly. The other, the other act I and Brian says that those tricks does for other magicians. They're not necessarily designed for a regular audience because they're designed to make magicians go. What the heck did you do? Because I figure how you doing as opposed to real people being entertained. But if. In a certain sense. Yes, but it falls a magician. That's gotta be amazing. That's like if you see a comedian, who's making other comedians laugh, that's that's a good comedian. Welcome back of the room trick. Yeah, right. And is reminder, you know, mother nature go the other. The other act I saw that I was really impressed with is there was a like a mental list act, so I wish I gets he recited every episode of the mental. They're called the. Oh, so good. That is plucked the name right at your head. Basically, rollers, it's the work medalists in there. It's not some lists. It's, oh, man. I'll I'll figure it out. I'll find it, but they're just the idea that they were able to come up with these facts about people in the way they did like some of them. I figured I figured out, but there's like two or three things they did was like, I know it yet and they actually fooled Penn and teller. Go on the show sentimentalist. That's what they're called central mentally. I like that they were. They were very cool. Yeah. I like when they get fooled on the show, I like that show that fool the fool them full full full full. You fuck yourself. With the with the wonderful hose Alyson Hannigan who very natural hosting Bility's. I can't tell if you being sarcastic. Better for a while. Better know you'd think you'd think that Garin but no, there's no evidence this situation wooden. In what ways? In what ways about seems to be not even present. Okay. May can't. Yeah, it just not not not a good host, not gonna host. She very funny comedic actress. What I mean when you have the opportunity to have a superstar, als and advocate host your show, don't pass it up inside interrupt. I just wondered if she's on cameo who look it up, who's going to be a little too. Can we get to depress which the most famous person cameo. How they rank. That would be that'd be bad. Ring so far. I know snooky and Nicole. Blunt ski. What's your name pops Nikki played that hairspray? Yeah, Nikki sore for Nicole happen to know. Her doesn't look like she's bonski. Bosque's out? No, Alex Hannigan is not on camera, but like on the front page, who's the who's the biggest name. Okay. All right. Desert getting shout out Burke even cameo a lot of heat today. "It starts with a band singing a thing, which is actually a really lovely song, and it's about three different comfort, three different things happening. So Buffy is fighting this vampire of it turns out she went to high school with who then like became kind of a piece of shit. And instead he tech, Wanda or whatever. And. And her sister dawn who didn't happen until earlier. We don't have enough time to talk about done, but her sister dull, yeah, which is Michelle Trachtenberg, Michelle tracking bird who was a doorbell and amazing, and we love her Harriet. The spy of Harriet, the spy, Harriet, the spy. She was a key in season five. They made everyone believe with Buffy sister because they knew she would protect her because Buffy loves people. Okay. So then she was like having this thing where someone was what we find out is the first which is a demon thing that had come across like they already encountered in the second season pretended to be their mom, Joyce who is dead. And was trying to like freak her out and be like, Buffy hates you. She's not going to protect you. And then we have. So in the end of season six, when willow becomes addicted to magic in the Finnish drug metaphor that has ever been. Her girlfriend of a few years by this point, Tara who had literally been made a featured player in that episode was murdered gaffe, and this made her go on this huge rampage. And so in conversations with dead people, they had someone who had passed away earlier in the season, a character comeback and say, Terry wants to talk to you, but she can't. And the reason why tear couldn't come back with because the actress said, you know, I don't want this to be the last. They see of terra because there aren't that many gay relationships on TV. Now, both her I, I've never heard any different, but both her and Alyson Hannigan neither one of them have come out as being gay or queer. Both of them have been in straight relationships, but it was very important for them that this was this was like one of the first gay kisses. If not Viga kiss on TV, they were very important gay relationship, and it was kind of the. Ginning of kill your queers barrier, Bayer, gays. And so for her, she said, no, I don't want her to come back. This relationship was to important for her to come back for it to be this thing where she's being played by the first yada, yada, yada among gonna do it. And it didn't ruin her relationship because I think everyone got it and she went on to then go on and write in Buffy follow, jeez, and other things for the comic books. I don't think I don't know if there's any any at mossy there, but it was a way that she put her foot down and said, no, this is an important relationship, and I'm not gonna sully what that meant to people because she also wasn't working on the show at the time. She didn't know that willow was gonna wind up getting another girlfriend and so she was like, I'm not going to sully that by doing this because it was too important. Yeah. But yeah, that that did is kind of known for at least starting that trope of barrier gays, which for people that don't know is is a common thing that still happens a way to basically to describe what it is. I don't think we described. Sorry. I said, kill your queers, which was also like the more harsh version that sometimes that's queer folks. Basically when you introduce a queer character into media and have them have a relationship, and then you basically fridge them so that for reasons so they, they're not around. You don't have to worry about any achey same sex relationships that might freak out the the, the, the midwest, or whatever. You still got to do it and get the credit for having done even a good movies like the atomic blonde did it, which it was so jarring because it almost felt like I don't want to say it's seem force because I like when people do show like queer release. Ships, but it almost saying it felt like it was for the male gaze because you introduce this surprise lesbian relationship. They have a sex scene and then she's dead and it's like, all right. This feels like this was more just so y'all can get that one scene out, right?.

If anything, you say no, logos, because you don't want to get one yet fromo even though what we're talking about. Right. Yeah, that's like, oh, no. But if you're wearing it and then you say that you like it was like, why pay twenty five dollars for the threat to shirt? I love it. Also. I want them to send me more of this for free shrill. Do the thing me those ten, thousands of squares. But yet one of the interesting things was that the willow Rosenberg character was recast in the pilots. Yes. So she was originally played and you can find those online, but she was originally played by someone who was somehow even more nerdy and unrealistic and chubs and gorgeous thick wh- to seize that actresses like twenty I can say that, but thick to seize and the network was like, you have to pare that down. So even then joss pared down for when they brought Alison Rosenberg in and then parroted down again because she was and Hannigan Alyson Hannigan Howson Rosenberg, Alyson Hannigan I was mixing willow Rosenberg exactly tissue people owed to me sleep. You high, your mother so she they toned her down for the pilot and then. Toned down again because they were like, where did you go to school? And he was like England and they're like, well, that's not gonna work in California. Kids don't dress that way. And also your forty. Yeah, yeah. So they brought in Alice and Hannigan and she ended up being willow Rosenberg, who is her best friend or one of her best friends? Yeah. Turns inter later more pizza. They re shot the pilot again with her in it. Yeah. Like all the scenes. Obviously, the scenes that were shot were shot keep them, but anything that had to be with willow. They wound up shootings. Remember in the new girl pilot, they just brought they switched out. Switched it out and they referenced it in the episode to, but they didn't change it. They've so in. Yeah, so what what's the characters name starts with a w. demon Wayne's was in junior, was Amos Aolad? Yeah, he was in the show. Yeah, he was in the original pilot, the pilot. That's what I'm saying. They kept pilot. And then when he wasn't in the show, they kept referencing that they brought him back. Yeah. And they brought him back because they loved him and he can't stop working good, come on happy endings. All those people are so good, and they ruined all of my shows for a season because after it was got cancelled, everyone wanted to give them work. And so suddenly you have him there you have Alan Patty or Alan, right. You have? What's his name goes over to Mindy project. You have people who suddenly start showing up all of these shows. I love because people love the show so much. They were giving everyone work, which like Craig. It for them, but like just give them on the show. Stop candy. Have my good, keep happy endings pally. I ran into, he's at UC functions. Yeah, we're actually going to run into the characters right after the break. Your body's be different. Danny, they're weird. They're super weird. Everyone's body is different. You know, everyone always asked me for tips for lifting like, look, I can give you tips, but everyone has different bodies, but we're not talking about lifting. I never heard of that also just made a comment of how we were the movie really tries to show like, oh, but they're what good white people. I know entirely hammer that in where it's like come on. Yeah. So you're right on that. And that made me think of, I think. When I you and I had a offline conversations about sharper objects. Sharp objects was like the, you know, again, we talked about in the podcast that my my great grandmother, she was, you know, worked in the house as a slave, and, and you mean you don't get as. Slave, a house made a house. Yeah. I mean, like she. I mean, slavery was still happening to the time like saver Roussel. So she was, oh, yeah. No, she was a housemate's show. Yeah. So it's like wanting to hear what those stories are, but you did bring up a good point that in sharper objects that the do address some of that conversation. I guess I would just love to see a story where it's like focused on her. Yeah, I mean, that's true course. And of course there's going to be problems, sharper objects because that's not that wasn't the main story, but I, I do, I I'm, I'm not here to just only defend sharper objects. You know Jap. No, no, no get into that. But like. That I didn't bring up time on the show like like his wife. The her boss's boss's wife, and then also there's a family at the end who plays recruiter role where there's a teenage girl and the mother of the girl. And so it isn't like just showing black people as subservient in short tax. It kind of highlights how backwards that town is. Whereas like the only people in that town are subservient that are are black, but an outside towns, they're just people right, but it's still backed up. I mean, centralized stories need to be. We need way more centralized stories of black voices that are just around decoration and especially in that time because we've seen them as made for so long. If you did a trick where you like forced card to me, they might say like, oh, you know, that trick seemed like a din require a lot of fours, but it was like something like that. So, and so, yeah. "I wouldn't try to, but here we are twenty years later and world seems a lot scarier. So maybe it could be time to meet a new slayer. So this gives the suggestion that the new Buffy series would actually be a sequel series, but not a reboot a remake as we've been kind of calling interchangeably and the black lead character in this show would be a wholly new character not just be like a rehash of of Buffy summers, which I'm much more receptive to because I know when I first heard the news, I thought that they are. Doing like a straight remake. And I was very upset about that because I thought that you could tell so many more new stories inset in this world with new characters and not try to just re re use a a conic, white character and reframe her has a black character. So I think this is this is a really great move. If this is the case, it's ju- still pretty OSA. Breen is still pretty vague on details, and it could allow them also to sort of dive into the comic books that followed Buffy the vampire. Slayer, finale and kind of continues the story on and dives into all, and also introduces all these other new slayers and characters who also have similar powers to Buffy. It would also, as we mentioned yesterday, the possibility of having you know the characters like Alyson Hannigan and sir, Michelle Gellar be do guest appearances point. What could be fun I was talking to. Yeah, I was talking to Jake about. This, and he said that it would be really interesting if Sarah Michelle Gellar return as Buffy in a sort of Giles type capacity as the the mentor or watcher of the new slayer, which would be really cool. That would be cool. I feel like she was so over Buffy when metro is ending, but her career did not take off in ways. I think she expected it to so so maybe she'd be willing to come back to TV to to do something like that. I think she's gained a newfound appreciation for the character and she's definitely much more like welcoming to fans who are always really appreciative of her character on the internet. So I think she'd be down to return if this were the case. Okay. So they're trying to recruit every old TV show. At this point, it seems like the latest that is being considered is a reboot of Frazier, Chris, would we know? So this isn't official yet. It's just basically Kelsey grammar is sort of testing the waters. He's putting the idea out there along with them CBS and they're trying to see if anyone's going to go for it for a Frazier reboot and the the strangest thing about this reboot is unlike other recent reboots and revivals which have kept, you know, the same cast most of the same creative team like, you know, will and grace and Roseanne and even twin peaks the idea. Behind this is it's going to be pretty much a total reboot where the only character carrying over is Frazier, and he's going to be in a new city. And that seems very stupid to me because the, you know what made Frazier work was that on Sombor until like you know, like is there going to be no Niles who would wanna watch that? I can't picture anyone watching that, but that's, that's the idea as of now, Frazier was a character though, is first introduced on cheers immigration? Yes, it was a cheer spin off, but he took on his own a life of his own on his own series. Like I would much rather nothing. I'm a big fan of cheers, even though I am from Boston, the setting of chairs. How much rather see a report of cheers. I, I feel like a show set in a bar in modern day in playing with, you know, some of the tropes that that original series did maybe not a sequel legacy equal series, but maybe a reboot would be interesting. Is that anything you'd wanna see actually hadn't thought of that until you just mentioned it, but that actually could be interesting.
