But i'm just a little bit too light for me to really compete for a championship. So i acquired three first round picks through various deals. And i made the decision that i wanted to really go for this year and i also needed a little bit wide receiver debt so i traded for emmanuel sanders. Who's who's been top seventeen in the league this season. It's one year rental. Yeah i know. And i also i also acquired julio jones which you know he's been injured but he still has that potential to accommodate. Help me later in the season. And then alvin kamara. Obviously was the big name that i got so. Yeah so i mean it's it's a big move. Three three first round picks they were going to be late for trump dick's the accuweather. The two other picks i had were two of the other guys that are competing for the championship. This season and then mind is going to be a late. pick. As well saw. The i i made. Mike Evans is in a league each one of those guys, you could argue for any one of those guys, and there's at least two number ones in that receiving corps, but that's the best three in the league. Npr maybe you get them a little bit closer to what zeke went for which is twenty five twenty seven somewhere in that rain. I've i've definitely spent up early on. When i thought that i got a good player at a good price I've been in salary cap graphs where you know. The top running backs nominated quickly. And i've got an idea on what they should go for. And i'm getting them for you. Know two or three bucks less and it's early on and people are still you know they're they're worried about setting the market and we've talked about that a lot already on the stream but if you know what you're comfortable paying for a player than than go spend it and you'll find that you'll probably get a pretty decent bargain on those early on players. I don't know if there's going to be one in the one that we're doing right now because of you know we're all talking about. We all have a lot of respect for each other here in this draft but in in your typical home league Yeah i think there might be a little trepidation about spending early on and you can take advantage assuming you know what you're comfortable spending on a certain player right but i'm looking at it right now. Right now kamera going for twenty seven. Oh chris in there for twenty chris dyke. He's he wants to. He wants to participate. He wants a player. Well he's i think he's trying to get alvin kamara at a price a little cook and i think that's pretty smart. Well now now. He doesn't really have that chance. I think we're gonna see at least thirty touches a game from chimera and that overall usage with a new quarterback it likely ingenious on having michael thomas there for the first few weeks of the season. I think that's an incredible value for alvin kamara. And he should not get past the fifth overall pick. Now my number two fancy player for twenty one is going to be jonathan taylor again. The same reason. Alvin kamara is the usage here. I think he's going to get as much touches as any other guy at this position. I mean without wentz for the first part of the season and even with once. This is going to be a run first team. His usage will be off the charts in tailored struggled. You really struggled to start last season. He had a bad against that seemed to be the turning point. And you could kind of see. The coaching staff didn't really trust him. After that fumble but he struggled to get over fifteen carries in seven out of the first nine games and then he had over fifteen carries in all but two games after that and really the the big playability is there. He eats up yards can have another year he's got a full season of. Nfl experienced behind him more carries. I see him getting more catches this year and i see a lot of breakout star potential number. Pick in devante adams very worthy of the number one overall pick as i've seen him going in a few drafts If for some reason he falls out of the top five top eight you gotta get him. I mean it's a touchdown machine. There's very few receivers that get the targets and the red zone targets that adam gets adam gets from one of the best passers of all time in the sport. So you know it's going to be the ball's gonna be in the right spot and you know that this is possibly his last dance with aaron rodgers. And he's gonna prove why he's one of the best wide receivers in the league. There's a stat. I'm going to try and put up. He's caught something like twenty four touchdowns in his last twenty one games in that's just. It's unreal production from his position so over the last twenty six games played. Devante adams has twenty eight receiving touchdowns that is just absurd. Absurd numbers. it's it's almost statistical probability that he's going to catch a touchdown in your lineup. So not many other guys. You can say that about number four. You obviously can't really go wrong with dalvin cook christian. Mccaffrey belt belco type running backs. But i think nick chubb is going to have an incredible season. I know he's got kareem hunt with them compared to those other guys but he's ranked ten fantasy running back rankings. "Bill. I just want to dive into it here. Because there's a lot to get to after watching the bucks. Beat the saints. Thirty to twenty so new orleans had been in tampa bay twice this season in week. One about four hundred years ago and then again in november. So what was the difference in this game vs those other two. I really simple pablo the saints. Just didn't protect the football. In the two regular season games between these teams the saints won the turnover battle. Both times there are plus three in the week one victory and then one up in the rematch. Tom brady threw five picks across those two games. Only seven in his other fourteen games. That really felt like the saints had his number and they were gonna have to flip that to win in new orleans. Well they flipped. It didn't turn the ball over the saints coughed up. Four times including three interceptions drew brees. The bucks turned the first few takeaways and two touchdowns and use the fourth to wrap up the game and kneel down. It's virtually impossible to win a playoff game. That sort of margin the saints will just sloppy in this game. Mean breeze could have thrown four or five picks. This last weekend was Fantasy football championship weekend for a lot of people on and saints running back Alvin Kamara Wolf had a ridiculous game six fire six touchdowns in a game insane for running back. That's like Jim Brown numbers from the From long time ago. Well, of course, fantasy football owners everywhere who have Alvin Kamara like Whoa! Like Alvin Kamara won the championship. So Alvin Kamara, You know, a lot of NFL players get a lot of negative tweets from fans saying thanks for ruining my fantasy football weekend, and they're like, Dude, I don't care. I don't know who you are. And I don't care here for your team, right? It was the opposite this time with all these fans tweeting it, Alvin Kamara, dude. You just want me to 100 bucks? You just want me 1000 bucks. Whatever. And so Alvin Kamara responded and put on a sweater like Hey, if if I want you some money, son of a saint is an organization where they met to our boys who have lost their fathers Because they were there in jailer. The fathers have died. You can donate some of your fantasy football winnings to this charity. Since he did that they've already received more than 400 donations of more than $21,000. Wow. Ever since, Alvin Kamara said. You know if you want to take fantasy football winnings and turn into something good. Here you go. But like You know your little cowboy clothes? Uh, Being this was two days before Christmas. They set up a fund. I think we're all happy to see the year come to an end. It's not so fun. Seeing the NFL regular season comes to an end, but we do get expanded playoffs this year. Tony what's going on, man? Happy? Merry Christmas If it was a good one happy early, New Year's happy double guns to this year F this and fantasize this f This and F 2020. That's 2020 coming. It's sort of become the new slogan by the way of the fantasize This podcast is F This f That and f this year. That's kind of question, and that's this year. Also, just this total side note. Quick diversion. Death to 2020 on Netflix is a must watch by the way its analysis That over an hour, But it's a toll satire with Hugh Grant and Samuel Jackson and, uh, whole slew of characters on Netflix every way I deftly 2020, but Yeah, dude, I never thought we'd make it this far. Where we're here. Um, I always go through a mini depression in fantasy football ends because you know, I love fantasy football. More than it's so fun, man. It's an absolute blast. You could spend. Every year because it's taking up like five months of your of your year. You got to look forward to every day about that. Seeing that this is such a good idea and saying, we don't really care that the MBA is playing games on Christmas anymore. It's not really our problem. We're happy to play some games. It's in the middle of our season. It's in a playoff time of arson. The summary of the Vikings and the Saints duking it out. We've got an incredible game. Now that Camaro score six touchdowns my Christmas nobody's ever gonna forget that. We're gonna go to the state football game, and Alvin Kamara scored six touchdowns. So I was asking Schefter about this and he's of the mindset. I sort of think so, too, that Covert 19 allowed for the sports world. And while it was miserable to have to deal with, and I have to handle it this year, the way it did the fact that they were able to get sports up and running again in somewhat of a safe capacity in in certain arenas. I think in some ways it could have been done better. I'm still on on the on the line about whether not college sports should even be being played right now. But when it comes that comes to the NFL, What we saw is that they were totally capable. Playing games on a Tuesday night they were capable of playing a game on a Wednesday night. They could say, Hey, we're just gonna move. The schedule will bump games down the road. If they decided when there was not a pandemic going on that they wanted to schedule a Tuesday and I game or Wednesday night came to match up with Christmas. They've proven that they could do it. It's gonna be tough on on the bodies of some of these players put the NFL's also proven. I don't really give a damn about that. So you know, they put it on. I'm gonna watch it. It's not my fault if they put it on, I'm just saying, if they're to do it, and we're all gonna watch it because we all love watching football. I would be open to getting more games on Christmas Day and I'd be open toe mortgage games during the week. It doesn't have to be a Thursday night game coming up Friday night NFL game. Let me tell me more. Tell me more Saturdays. That's Saturday. By the way before right after Christmas is always one of the best Get a couple of days. I think we have three games that day, then Jeff Wilson junior game and we'll get to that in just a minute. But, yeah, I'm open T games on Christmas and games throughout other days of the week. Now that we've seen it, we've seen some flexibility in that realm. I think in 2020 no question, I think it actually this again. There's silver linings or, you know glass half full approach to having been living in a pandemic and Not just in football, but in regular life, just about what you are forced to do. But then when you're forced to do it, you realize Oh, wow, that actually could work. All right. What's not bad? Yeah, And also you're so right about Christmas Day football like Thanksgiving. How great is having three games on Thanksgiving? It's the best. Why haven't there been A three game slate on why hasn't there been a three games late on Christmas forever? Like I think now that we've seen football on Christmas Day, and like you said, I was thirsting for another game after that game in because it was a great game, Camaro goes off and I wanted more football after that game. I'm like, Oh, I can't believe what a tease give me more. And that's what I love about. Thanksgiving is the three pack of games that you have, and I think this year we only had to because we had one of the games was postponed because of covert. But now knowing you can schedule and like he said, man, it's a multi billion dollar industries, so they players Are just gonna have to wear it and they're gonna play and the NFL is going to do what they do and the people they know that the viewership is there. They know that the advertisers will pay. So it's next man up if the injuries air our problems, But I will say Guilty as charged me and I will watch it if they put it out there, and I want to get into why it's a possibility in just a minute because the expanding schedule here for next season has been basically reports of this finalized that they're gonna have the 17th game next year, and that could be ramifications for fantasy. Football could also mean ramifications for how they set up midweek games. If they decide they wanna manipulate the schedule late in the year for big holidays over for things like Christmas like that. I assume that because Christmas was a Friday this year, it'll be a Saturday next year, right? So generally, that sound moves without Ah, leap year so we can end up with a bunch of Saturday. I mean, why not? We got three of them. This year. We could get three or five games on split this late up and give us some more on Christmas next year. And by the way does that mean the rug out from under the MBA? Does we do we get screwed on the company holiday next year, and we just get Christmas Eve? Like what happens next year? But in the end, the packers won the saints lost and they've now lost New Orleans says back to back games for the first time since two thousand, seventeen bill I know you are writing a new piece about drew brees coming off of the two year deal that drew brees signed in the offseason and what we've now seen from him through these first three weeks what did you see in Sunday night's games he regressing improving? What do we have with bruise right now? Okay. So public drew brees definitely improving this is a better performance from him. Me brees was downright bad on Monday night in week two against the raiders before we got to garbage time and breeze didn't do deep very frequently until this game was out of hand but I think the concerns i. have read or have heard about arm strength or how deep is passes typically go they don't really get how reason this offense actually worked.
