You joins us today to discuss his time in the service and his ongoing work to help those wounded and service to our country and Louis. Thank you very much for being with us. Is Great to be here. Thanks so much. We'll let's start at the beginning of your story where were you born and raised? So, born raised in Miami Florida and never really left Laura that often until decided to join join the army. So I'm in Florida boy after is there a military service history and your family? Yes, my both my grandfathers fought on opposite sides of the Spanish civil war. Lucky for me. Neither of them was a good shot, my father and uncle both served my uncle here in the US and my father in the Spanish Army I felt a calling to serve as well for my country. So it was it was kind of drew me to serve when I was very young. What was the reason you wanted to attend west point and when did that start that interest in attending West Point? Really didn't know very much about the service academies somebody. Might attention that you could go to military school but also studied airing. And that that will give you a path delay on choose of course, either career military service or go on to do other things is I wanted to do science. At RNC, Republicans paint dark picture of future if Trump loses
"Republicans spent most of their convention evening one painting, a dark picture of life. If a Democrat specifically, one named Joe Biden wins the White House back with us tonight to talk about what it is. We have just witnessed Claire mccaskill former Democratic senator from the Great State of Missouri, which might have been referenced once or twice during Tonight's program, our own Lawrence O'Donnell host the ten pm eastern our on this network, of course, and David Jolly former Republican member of Congress from the State of Florida who has since left the house and his political party but he has not turned his back on the state of Florida clear I'd like to begin with you. In terms of tone and substance, and the the kind of takeaway feeling you got after a night like tonight. You know this is the presidency of lies in this was a couple hours of lies. Mostly about Joe Biden is and his policies but also lies about Kobe and lies about healthcare and is you know the thing that rovings it really struck me Brian was the nerve they had of telling immigrants stories tonight Nikki Haley talking about being her parents in immigration Maximo Alvarez from Cuba. Who came here in an asylum situation from Cuba seeking freedom, and then maybe the most unbelievable is all the two women from Guatemala. Selling honey. You have to understand that children from Waddell Malo were ripped from their families arms. and. On purpose this is this is a presidency that has shut the door slam the door on people like this, and so the idea I mean I can't decide which was weirder them having the mccloskey's Vilnai's black people or and then having Tim Scott doing the keynote or a presidency that has been so bad on immigration trying to feature immigrants as part of his story. David Jolly. What do you recognize from your former party we heard. Kimberly Guilfoil. Speech in an empty room tonight saying that Joe Biden is out to destroy America her life partner Dj Tj. Trotted out a new nickname. Beijing Biden tonight because apparently. Nicknames are genetic So, wh. What did you make of what you saw tonight? I bring a different set of ears to this perhaps than senator mccaskill, just give him my my past partisan affiliation and what I would say is from a messaging standpoint, there were some very effective moments and I think maximum Maximo Alvarez speech was ineffective one I think the policy elements of Tim. Scott's were effective I thought Vernon Jones the democratic state REP from Georgia at a very effective message and to certain extent Herschel. Walker. But but then there are two things that kind of trample on that I as you mentioned is is kind of the Colt like narrative. That is all things trump for Matt, gaetz saying MS thirteen moving in next door to Charlie kirks screed on terrorism to Kim, Gulf Oil's. american-carnage reductions if you will all of those elements trampled on what would have otherwise been a fairly normal message to expect from an RMC. But the other thing it requires is for you to suspend the past three years of reality to the senators point the separating moms from children, the abandonment, of NATO, a president who was impeached for trying to cheat the American people in the upcoming election president who want. Release his tax returns who's been named as a co-conspirator in a federal crime in the Southern District of New York it requires the listener to suspend all of those moments that we know are actually the real trump administration and the trump presidency. So unfortunately, look, there were many moments made for TV that we're effective, but they will be lost in the greater trump. Trump is a cult that will ultimately define this convention. Lawrence O'Donnell a bit of darkness on the edge of town in the midst of a pandemic, an unmistakable message that they're coming for you. That's one of the messages and Brian. We try to evaluate the effectiveness of a night like this or any that is this week we have to ask ourselves how long or how much of this did the undecided voter watch and the underside voter watch with very little of these things and some usually they don't watch it at all. So it has zero effect. If all it's doing is reinforcing the votes you already house and so if you think about what was said, tonight, that could appeal to someone who wasn't already voting for Donald. Trump you got some of Tim. Scott's a speech I agree with David about that but not the part the part where Tim Scott suddenly. As if almost to say, I, don't really mean this started attacking Joe Biden said the job behind his ambition is quote a socialist utopia applied that to Joe Biden, and so the speech starts to become nonsense when when he does that the only person I heard actually mentioned something the Donald Trump would do in a second term was donald trump junior and the only thing he mentioned Donald Trump would want to do in a second term is to end the payroll tax end the funding for social security and we learned today from Social Security, Trust Fund that that means Social Security would be unable to pay benefits. In twenty twenty three and I just want to alert the audience in the past you've heard people use the phrase social security is project projected to go bankrupt at some date distant in the distant future. What that always meant was social security will only be able to hey benefits based on the amount of money it takes in that week, which is to say, would have paid about seventy five cents of each dollar that it owed. This idea would leave social security paying zero zero of each dollar that it does and that is the only trump idea for the second term that was actually mentioned tonight that I heard.
Rediscovering our Intimacy and Sexual Wellness in the midst of a pandemic
"How are you? been a while I know we're supposed to connect like over a year ago when you were having a baby. That's right that was around that time. I didn't realize there was a year ago. That's right. Now. That's crazy. It's crazy crazy on but I'm so glad you're here we've wanted to. Connect. With you and have a conversation with you because. I think there's a lot of there's a lot of questions that we have in a you're you're an expert. On sexual wellness and we realize her this time that you a lot. One question that we've been asking other women is. How is, how is your your relationship? How is your your intimate life right now with Kobe and everything that's happening insane indoors. how has your you know? How are you doing this in lobby? It's non existent right now. So either that or you know I've I've seen posts of France at already announcing pregnancy some like whoa. Okay. So that. One or the other. You how it home, but we wanted to check with you. So you can tell us important tens of or sexual health, and you know everything that we need to know about that. You know we WANNA just share and learn from you. For, sure. Thank you so much for making time for this. It's definitely. It's definitely interesting time given. So many things going on in the world stressful hard things going on in the world with with the impact it has on our relationships in our intimacy not everyone is in a relationship but at the same time, the relationship with ourselves is, is like the most important one too. I. Think you're right and what happened before Kobe was really like a shelter in place. Kobe. Is that a lot of people saw oh my gosh. There's going to be having sex all over the place. Everyone's GonNa be quarantined together with partners and. There's going to be all these babies and so that's where like the Kobe baby boom came out of that idea. But in reality would like to tell people is that yes, there are cases where there's a lot of There's couples that are very happy spending much time together and are having a great sex life, and that happens at any point. It doesn't have to mean that it's with or without copay like there's. Couples just naturally like that. But for most couples like in most women, there's a lot of stressors going on and when we have that much stress both external and internal. So like in the world, there's a lot going on that stressful but then turn on meaning like some of us are losing our jobs or or having to manage kids now in a very different way and like trying to wear you know the whole. Balance All the stress can actually decrease your sex drive and what happens with that is then it leads to more things. So when you don't feel in the mood to have sex, you're not reconnecting with your partner you're not getting like that cocktail dump of hormones that you get when you orgasm, you're not communicating sexually. So it Kinda starts to trickle into this whole spiralling snowball and you can quickly find yourself like very. Unhappy in your relationship in you don't really know where it came from or you can be just super stressed and on edge and not understand like why can't release that and so do say it is important for us to talk about the ascend like figure out like what can we be doing right now when we talk about her sex driver when we talk about, you know de stressing ourselves or with our partners. I think we're GONNA talk about some of that fit. It's definitely I don't think people expected. This to be the case, they didn't expect there to be so many relationship struggles right now and it's very it's very normal, very common if you think of. The hierarchy of needs, right like shelter safety food that was I, and like I think all of us kind of freaked out in covid was happening and shelter in place. You know there was no food and groceries and things like that. But then the next need is connection, and so we're there I think people are longing for the right type of connection.

Miami Marlins blank Baltimore Orioles in first game back following COVID-19 outbreak
"I am totally on the Marlins bandwagon They played last night in Baltimore nine days after their last game after 18 players tested positive. To begin with stand. This was a team that lost 105 games last year. There were questions as to how competitive they could be with roster they had. Now they've got ah, more than a dozen replacement players, including Ah, Miran Amore in to Josh Smith's and an Olympic short track speed skating silver medalist in Eddie Alvarez. So what happens? "Okay Ashley so today. We have a very special puppet named Etta and she was submitted by her mom. Louisa and Louisa had been wanting to adopt a dog her entire life. Same but for a bunch of different reasons. It just was never the right time and I'd like to pause here and say to be fair. I can vouch for them being very different but I feel like dogs are kind of like having kids right time never going to be a perfect time so Louisa had just ended of super toxic relationship. That was times abusive a few years earlier and had been dating this really great guy the first guy she found after this terrible relationship she got out of only to have this guy break up with her she had moved for what she thought was her dream job but it turned out to be a complete nightmare and she felt like nothing in her life was panning out and she found herself getting increasingly depressed and she did but I think a lot of us. Do we get to that point. Look at pictures of dogs on the Internet and she came across this beautiful pit mix at a local shelter and knew that this was her dog. She contacted a shelter and lined up a meeting for later that week and was about five or six years old at the time and had just been rescued from Tijuana and it was super clear that she'd been used for breeding an already had like several litters of puppies. She'd been living on the streets and when she was taken to the vet the rescue it was discovered that all of her teeth were broken and a ton of them had to even be removed. A happen all of them are broken right. So based on the damage the vet speculated that she had broken her teeth while being caged and she had likely tried to bomb away the metal wires or Steinem completely destroyed her baby and later they found out that not only did ever have a bb lodged in her abdomen. She also suffered from and will continue to live with premature arthritis and a tick borne illness. Louisa was able to take that very evening. They I met in the park and despite having only known each other for a few hours immediately hopped up on the couch with Louisa and CUDDLED UP RIGHT LOVES TOUR. Or Sheet Petrin. They've been inseparable ever since and despite all her health troubles is a sweetest happiest dog. Loves kids babies which I think is like a pit thing like oh my gosh. They're obsessed such bad raps but they I have found. Pits are the most like cuddly lovable sweetest little babies. They are truly like the Teddy Bear dogs and no one can tell me any differently. She greets every person she meets with a wagging and a request for pets and even though it can still be really painful for her. She loves playing with other dogs. Louisa has done everything in her power to give the best life possible. Not only because of a rough start in life because even though Louisa adopted her on paper. Allah is really the one who rescued quick feet. We can I feel like every one of my stories ends like that. It's terrific real. Oh my God I love. Oh my gosh. Join us a picture of little. Be On our website Ashley. Can you describe me those years? You could take flight with those years. Oh my goodness. She's the cutest little black dog with a little bit of white on her pity pause in her belly just above her nose and she has. Yoda ears that. Just stick out lockdown and again. She's like the dog version of baby yoga to be like GonNa take fight with them. They are the cutest things I've ever seen literally. I got these pictures from Luisa and I responded to the email. Omg those ears hit. Send before he even said. I was like so focused on those adorable floppy ears. I still can't get over them. I give her a kiss on the nose for us. I love she. Needs all the BOOP. Flip flop her little ears and of course we're going to feature an adoptable puppet today as well and Ashley are listener. Joe Actually contacted you directly and you were super kind to forward that information me for the segment so two days adoptable prophet is daisy. She is a four year old German Shepherd Husky Mix. She's super calm. Which seems unlikely but she does look like the perfect lazy dog all the pictures I have. She's around seventy pounds but could stand to lose a few pounds which will be. She's super sweet friendly. Well behaved and his even completely house and create trained and our listener. Joe Is in around Atlanta Georgia and said that she would be able to help transport at least part of the way and even send supplies with these two forever home. She is currently fostering. Daisy needs to find her a home as soon as possible. Yeah it really liked touch my heart mitsubish out. She was like listen. I'm fostering these dogs and I can't keep them forever. They have to find the forever home. You guys have such a big reach like. Please just put that out there so I hope that anyone who lives in that area or surrounding area. Well at least take a peek. I mean the perfect time could bring appropriate into your home at pigs walks together. Yeah but actually I should mention you said dogs. There were two dogs but one already adopted. I only have daisy to feature today. Honestly like I'm thrilled about. I'd love to have no dogs needs to be adopted. "Just a day after his sentencing the. Da Slaps Hor. Hey with two new felony charges in relation to the disappearance of Diana. He's charged with lewd or lascivious molestation civilian less than twelve and battery of a child. Now this isn't murder charges but at least it's something honestly. That's kind of a huge relief to me. I mean we look at the the Najah case that we did a couple of weeks ago along with Angie's case from Indianapolis and there was so much circumstantial evidence and it's Kinda refreshing to see law enforcement. Move on a case. Especially when it's a lot of just circumstantial stuff right. I mean and circumstantial stuff. It seems so clear. And they do a lot of circumstantial evidence. Not only do they have all the phone. Location record text messages the pictures on his phone the history with Diana but they also got some new witnesses in the year. Since Diana's disappearance particularly a man that we've mentioned before Mario who is Mario again so from earlier in our story. Mario was the like mutual friend. That actually reconnected Rita in Hor. Hey when he was helping her he find work in Fort Myers. Okay so everyone in the story is Kinda connected. Mario is actually Mary. To Rita's sister. Though Rita sister at the time was living in Mexico so Mario is able to fill in some pieces for police. He's around the time Diana disappeared. He gets a call from Pablo. Who's Hor he's brother? Pablo asked Mario for a favor. Hey my brother's car got in a crash and I need you to pick it up from the shop. He's gone. My brother can't do it. Because he's traveling Blah Blah Blah. Could you just do me a solid? So he does but he said there was something strange when he went to go. Pick up the car and thoat back to Okeechobee. Pablo asked he didn't see any signs of a crash. No damage like nothing. Messed up the only thing he noticed was that the bottom of the car was just like coated in mud. Like it had been off roading. Mario later told Melissa Montoya From News. Press that police interviewed him multiple times and even gave him a lie detector test. He said that he thought that they did that. Because they were looking for some kind of a complex that may be helped or hey either do what he did or to at least cover it up ultimately. Mario says that he had no idea what was going on or that. Or he even capable doing what he'd been accused and convicted of at that point. Hold up so he didn't get a call from horror he. He got a call from his brother. Pablo yes and Pablo who lived in the same trailer while whore. Hey was abusing Diana. Yes call me crazy. But could this be the accomplished? The police are looking for so your crime. Junkie brain is working a little bit like mine. Mario said that the two were always together. But I mean there have been zero. Formal allegations made against Pablo. And he doesn't come up a lot in reports about this case. I mean he really just gets like offhand. Mentions here and there so I don't know if anyone else has the same suspicions but either way. Mario was on the DA's witness list. And all of this could get brought into trial. But there's another witness that is even more damning to her hay a former jail cellmate named Juan in an article from WYNC News Dot Com from back in December. Two thousand seventeen. They summarized documents released by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. These documents said that Wall Jose and Juan were together. Jorges asked one how much time he would face for quote the murder charge. Now keep in mind. This is before he'd been charged with even the kidnapping stuff. He told his cellmate that he was probably going to get charged with rape kidnapping and murder and he went on one says to detail what actually happened on the day. Diana went missing according to one story. Whore he picked up Diana and was going to take her into Mexico but when he crashed his car everything changed and he thought he had to get rid of Diana before police showed up on the see what. Yeah no listen we know. Jailhouse informants are the end. All be all but it's a story that makes sense with everything. We know the broken down car the mud at the bottom of it but something about the story feels off to me remember. Mario said it didn't look like there was a crash is a bunch of mud on the bottom of the car. So we're to speculate for a second and say that it was the off roading. That actually stalled the car out. He would have only been going off road to do something to Diane and presumably to hide a body. And it's because of that that your car doesn't work but one story is kind of the opposite. He's saying that there was a crash and that's why he went off roading but if there was a crash the car broke down. Then you don't go to where you should go to the mud on the bottom. Your car does that make sense right. Basically it's the reverse order of how it should have happened. Yeah and I. I don't think I can fully piece it together because I have no real proof of what was wrong with the car. I mean maybe something else happened. Maybe the mud had nothing to do with it. I just pointed out to say that we still don't have the full story. And as the second anniversary started to approach whore he was still not saying a word to officials. It was starting to feel like the truth. Might never be known that the battery and Lewd Acts Charges were the best that the family was going to get but then on May third two thousand eighteen. This happens good morning everybody. We're here today to announce a couple of things. The first thing we want to announce is a grand. Jury has returned an indictment for first degree murder kidnapping and lewd or lascivious molestation against horror. Hey Manual Guerrero Tarez for the death of nine year old Diana Alvarez. We're standing here with our law enforcement partners. We want to give a huge thanks to the league. County sheriff's Office the FBI FDLE and the Department of Homeland Security in this case Lee County Sheriff's Office Detective Standing Beside me. All the sheriff's Office did a tremendous amount of hard work a thorough and extremely complete investigation on this case culminating in this grand jury indictment for the charge of first degree murder and the two other life felonies or office made the decision to convene a grand jury in this case with the help of law enforcement because we will not rest until we saw. Torres held responsible for what he did to this little girl. Wow so did they find her? No they actually didn't so the as moving forward with a no body case right well they were. It was a case that was going to take a long time to build. Many of the witnesses and people involved in the case were all over the country even in other countries so they were given a long time to kind of track everyone and get this to trial as nobody case. But in March of this year. Twenty twenty after almost four years of Diana being missing everything changed according to Fox forest digital team surveyors found Diana's remains in a wooded area of Yeehaw junction the same general place. That police had been searching so many times before she was there the whole time. Finding her there exactly where they presumed she would be only strengthened. Their case and prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty. Jorges pled not guilty and proceedings for the case. Were actually supposed to star in March but because of the Kovic nineteen outbreak. Everything's getting pushed and at the time of our recording. He's scheduled to be back in court. The day that this episode is supposed to Air April twenty seven two thousand twenty but honestly who knows if it won't get pushed farther back at this point but at least the twenty seventh or whatever date in the future there is hope hope for justice. And maybe that will provide even the smallest amount of peace to Diana's Family..

Tommy innovator of violence is there anything like that. I could say no. You could just say daybreak records friend Jonathan. That's fine. That works all right. So David Greco his friend the one and only Jonathon Hood Man. Well how our the job with them. It's good to hear from you buddy. No I'm doing great and boy I tell you as as you and I as wrestling fans from way back going back to the territory Tori Day to where we are right now. I remember the call of the called in yesterday at a busted open. He was sixty six years old and he talked about how you watch wrestling during the time of Bruno San Martino and watched him as a kid to where we are right now he says is a great time to be a wrestling fan and it is a great time to be a wrestling fan. So I'm just I. I'm just happy that in two thousand nine hundred and we have so many other things besides the wwe. We have so many other things to talk about because when he was just one company it it became a little bit stagnant but now we could appear all the rest and companies across the country and around the world and as wrestling fan. I'm thrilled to be able to do that. And Jonathan. That's a really good point by you because you've referenced. The call from our show yesterday gentlemen like you said that was sixty six sane and of all the decades and all the years that he's watching pro wrestling wrestling. This is the best time to be a wrestling fan. And I kind of agree you know probably I would maybe go back to you know when we first started watching in the early eighties but if you look at what's going on right now with the wwe with a e w with new Japan pro wrestling and ring Avante are in impact wrestling. This is an amazing exciting time. And the and the resurgence of the NWS. What a wonderful time to be a wrestling fan? But honestly you wouldn't know it by reading social media and you wouldn't know it by some of the phone calls we get here on busted open. I'll know as as as a bus no open the nation member. I listened all the time so I know exactly what you're talking about. But here's the thing for me as a wrestling fan. I'm just concerned about what what I see on my screen. What I see on my tablet when I'm watching wrestling social media is not is not necessarily something? I'm looking at until after the shows those are done if I'm watching the NWEA in which. I'm watching every Tuesday. I'm enjoying that show for the hour. If I'm watching AL W I'm watching that show on sports for the hour and enjoying what I'm seeing see. Here's the thing that will never happen for me as a fan. That's been watching wrestling since. Nineteen seventy eight. One thing that I for sure outside influences Lawrence's will not make me think otherwise of a show that I'm watching they. You could read whatever you want but for me. I'm GonNa always have my feeling people. People can say whatever you want to social media. I will enjoy what I enjoy what wrestling the thing is. What's Today's wrestling fans for? Whatever reason Dave is that they're so oh focused on what wrestling writers are saying? So focused on what other fans are saying to try to kind of twist and turn their opinion. Know your opinions your opinion. You don't worry about what someone else's thinking you're about what you enjoy the wrestling fan. But here's the thing. Jonathan you just said you've been watching wrestling since the late seventies so I think you're added to in your love and your passion for pro. Wrestling is very very different than somebody. Who may be in their twenties or maybe watching wrestling for for the first time Bryan Alvarez who has a new book called a hundred things? WWe Fans should know and do before they die And he's he's obviously works with Dave Meltzer. He is a part of wrestling observer. They have dave kind of changed the culture on how people watch pro wrestling. Maybe in a way you can talk about you know. Busted Open has changed the culture on how people watch pro wrestling. I think when you look at that right now until like when we were growing up it's people watch it in a completely different way. Our information on wrestling was the wrestling magazines. And you know those magazines were not shoot see. There's a difference right there right when you're coming up we're going to the magazine stands and we're looking at rustling I I or giving those Those after Max back in the day we were entertained by the posters in the information that was in there even though a lot of it was not not real but it was just entertaining now so many wrestling fans are concerned about the business of the wrestling business and to me. It's really about. Hey here's what's going on the ring winging. Here's the presentation of the match. Here's a presentation of the show. Do I like it. Thumbs up brick dumbs down. We get so concerned about ratings now and listen. That's one to talk about but we can't be consumed about it as a wrestling fan that well since this show didn't win this Wednesday night. That means that I should watch this show or this show sucks. Well No oh no you enjoy what you would enjoy. We can't get caught up in newsletters and and what is being said online to shape or opinion as wrestling fans. I think that yes. It is a different era but I think at the same time we should be able to just enjoy what we see in the ring and enjoy the shows shows now Jonathan for people who don't know you're also a sports talk host. Do you work also a little bit with. NBA Radio here on Sirius. Xm You host host on ESPN Chicago. We'll talk about all sports. As a matter of fact you are covering the bears cowboys game last night. So you know this better than anybody. Is this just with when it comes to progressing or is this sports. Talk in general because it seems like even when it's whether it's the NBA whether it's an NFL or Major League baseball a lot of times people are more concerned about what's going on off the field than what's actually going on on the field. Well put it this way. I've never taken a phone call already here in the NBA season about how the ratings are down in the NBA because ratings are down to the NBA. So I haven't taken a call about at that but we do take calls on wrestling content about ratings and we talk about attendance and the thing that pisses you off like pisses me off. Is that you go to a time line and you see someone taking a picture of empty seats in a raw pas. The shit out of me that does that does nothing for me as a wrestling fan and by the way a a lot more times than not those pictures of empty seats is some of those. Sections are cordoned off about for television. And so they want to be able to embarrass Erice an organization by saying look at all these empty seats. This is not so you shouldn't be interested in it. And that we talked about shaping the way rustling fans look at things they look at that that pitcher and say well. Maybe that's not interesting so look at look at the the ratings for the NFL the ratings for the NBA Major League Baseball and in the issues is there as far as attendance in ratings in the regular season fans on talk about that. I've never taken a call about that. People don't tweet me about that but at wrestling here in the sport that we love and wrestling. That's always a conversation. It's not just the in ring is not just how show can get better. It's about numbers and again that's the multiplication multiplication of the wrestling twenty nineteen. All right so let's get to the bottom of it because I think this is an interesting conversation because like you said it when it came to a head yesterday with bullying with some of the phone calls there seems to be like wwe loyalists that only care about the wwe and hate on a w and then our fans ends at our age w loyalists and you know what they hate everything that's wwe. How did this start? How did this culture start now? I can't can't really blame it on one person because you like you said the The Day MELTZER and Dave Meltzer. And you know what he's been doing. He's been doing that for decades you you know. He's been D- newsletter is been around for a very very long time so what is the justification. What is the foundation? How did this start and one I? I just think it's the social media aspect right like okay. So when we were wrestling fans in the in the late seventies you and I in the in the early eighties watching wrestling thing it. Alex asked the question if there was twitter. Would we be talking. We have talked about this on social media back then probably so but maybe not as what what is much vitriol. But here's the difference back then. We respected the sport for what it was watching it because it was entertaining and it wasn't like friends of mine at least not in my circle. Were saying well the WWF sucks. And I like the way no everyone because you know why because if you remember back in the day they had all these rustling blocks WWF NWEA AWA and you'd see wrestling for like six or seven hours hours on a on a syndicated television show so it wasn't like it sucked you just like you do is different and it was entertaining but but no one was saying out loud. This vis absolutely sucks. I'm not GonNa Watch you know I. I don't know if social media was back then that I'd be saying that on social media in the eighties if he was around why. Yeah but here's the thing Jonathan doing busted open for over ten years so fertile longest time. WWe dominated I know there was TNA TNA Kinda Anna. You Know Pete a little bit of a dent in pro wrestling and they did their rating and they they had some good live attendance and some good shows than any other. Hey by the way they have their numbers were TNA is what you see on smackdown now from a number stay. Yeah if you if you look at it. Bully talks about that a lot they they they nee- ear two million when they when they were on Spike TV and I know that was a different era and things have really changed in the way fans consume pro wrestling has definitely changed change but but but people wanted something different from the wwe. They were kind of tired of the same old same old and now they're getting it and they seem to be unhappy like like I'm not telling people to turn off the wwe. I'm not I'm not on people to stop watching the wwe but what's wrong with watching coaching. MSW OR A E W or new Japan or are away. It's like I don't understand why everybody has to pick aside and has. Did this start with the Monday night. Wars with the Monday night wars. I guess there was the WWe fans against a WCW fences and everybody wanted that. War again is that what's now been created in two thousand and nineteen so you just you just hit it right there my friend you hit it right there because of money like wars made you choose you. Just sit right there because you had a choice of you can back in the day you could vis a VCR tape one and watch the other. You maybe didn't can watch both at the same time but you hit it right there the Monday night wars made you choose. WCW or the WWF. At the time you had to choose one or the other because think about that before that before that you just watch casually which you want it. But Vince McMahon as well as Eric Bischoff in that battle told you that hey you may like wrestling as long as a whole but you got to choose one of the other shoes us because we are the band of of of crazy performers and for WCW W. W. WWF was like. Hey you know what were the attitude era. We have changed so I think that right there. The line was drawn in the sand with that those Monday night. Awards of course EC W part of that as well now. We can't forget about them that even though it is about Monday night wars is also about e C. W as well a choose US look for your on syndicated television. TNN Back then choose us because we got some spot for your Friday nights. Michael you're hearing catch busted open. Live Monday through Saturday Saturday from nine. AM to noon eastern on Sirius. XM Fight Nation Channel One fifty six or on demand with the Sirius..

"Slash tour. I am really excited about those fall tour dates today on the show. My guest is Brian Jordan Alvarez who is an actor and a creator and has a wonderful show that you can just watch for free on YouTube called the gay in wondrous life of Caleb Gallo. So check that out. I really recommend it. I loved it and please enjoy today's episode Phelan. Still. No, no, no careless. Would you take a little sip of coconut. Lacroix. Okay, great. S. m. r. video a little snappy with the lips. And then. Yeah, introduce yourself. Joe. I'm Brian Naylor is I'm an actor and I'm also creator. I'm currently on will and grace quite a bit. And I made a show that people really like called the gay and wondrous life of Caleb Gallo which is not as good as the shows that cameraman. But you know, it's, it's a good show. Actually, I have to say silly. We met in Montreal, Montreal just for laughs, which is this big comedy festival. And yeah, just because of like how much stuff there is to watch. I hadn't seen Caleb yellow shirt or meeting. You found you charming went home and watched it. And I, I like kind of can't believe you're able to pull that all have to say to your face because it's important to tell how you feel about them that that was unbelievably impressive. That means so much to me. Yeah, I think I didn't know what I was doing. And I, I wonder if you've had experiences like this because you've had a lot of gigantic. Chievements where sometimes you look back and you're like, what part of me did this thing? Because it's greater the cause that show. And I look at it is greater than the sum of its parts. And now I kind of stand in gratitude of of whatever it was because I'm like, because it was definitely wasn't just me making it. I mean, everybody involved, especially the cast members were like they were just kind of giving five hundred percent and like workshop ING scenes, and we just all wanted to make this thing. And now I watch the Mike, whoa, who made should also just say for listeners? It's it's just on YouTube. It's on YouTube and it's for freezes. Yeah, yeah. So I'm saying that because I really think people should watch. One thing that I found to be true about your show was that. It. It just was like very small and I don't mean Loic. I don't mean like it just scope wise. Yeah, yeah, yes. And all. And it was about just about relationships. Couple Couple talk. talk. Perfect sense, and you're right it in and it doesn't have. It's not like super plot heavy, although things do happen. And I felt like for me when I was watching it, I was like, oh, man, like this is. I mean, I hope that what happened after you made that is that you just like walked into meetings with people just like, well, that's what I want to make. What I've already made is because I think folks so often we've, you know, I, we were like relegated, decide characters. And then when we got to tell her stories, everything had to be so fucking huge all the time because it's like, well, in order to capture an audience, it has to be like our moment of tragedy or it has to be. There's so many. Has put on us to have like it's like the ultimate gay story. We're like they survive a their shot right at the beginning, you know, and then, but that's not what you were doing. So I guess I'm curious, Dane in a way it was. It was like just really funny yet. Thank you..
