Their radio we had the top is horses. And i have to say you know. Probably he had the best like favor right now. Which is our hoarder drawer. Recites been writing is gonna run their next week. They're concentrated so you know that. That's what i think the top horses. Okay good stuff and then what would you say for yourself your junior i. I know you've been doing. What do you have a number set on when you're going to walk away from the game of horse racing you have a certain age you want to get to and do you have any kind of plans you see yourself doing once you do retire from the game you know. I like number. I thought i thought probably like years from from last year. Those open before i had axel my last one you know i think like six more year now when we find out she was pregnant again as they will. This is going to extend a little longer now. So you know. I think you know to be honest. Unify stay healthy. Then i could easily do at list. Twelve twelve to fifteen more years. You know like. I say as long as i stay healthy you know twelve fifteen years should be should be a good number for me to keep doing what i love and and and doing it the right way with a good performance you know awesome all right and the last thing i'm gonna hit you hear junior. I love to ask all the data. Get on the podcast. What type of advice. The half of that new dad or for that about to be father. Who's out there. Listening to his. You know is also sometimes be patient. You know. I guess you know like i learn the the big thing that i learned you know like i said like freaked out when it's going to be a father so is it is like an instinct you will have you know and you know you will learn how to do things when you when you become a fire. You know f for those. They already a father. You know i guess you know. Be patient be patient. You know this is something there. I wasn't a. I'm not a patient person. And i'm you know i'm learning and this is something that i'd be working on my wife's gonna help me a lot of times. You know like just to be patient with when you have cats you have to be patient you have to remember. They are kids. they're not adults. They're grown up people yet their kids you know. Sometimes you know you say stopping keep saying repeated in than listening they play jumping around doing it over over and over but once again they are kids. You need to be patient with them. Does probably like my my biggest advice. Because that's what i you know will myself some time that i struggle with and i tried to put my head that their kids their kids know. Sometimes you have to let him a little bit. Because like i say you know dead. Cats did growing up that older people. You very well said. I love the message. There's been an honor for me. "And save up the sixty six percents off your order. My pillow pandemic. What was it like in the horse racing industry here. What was it like to to ride races in front of no crowd and all that. How did you kind of manage. Were you affected at all the amounts that you got or were you shut down for any period added you make out a professionally during this. Yeah you know we got hit. You know like when this all started last year you know we we close to track right here in new york. you know. we're still writing here in the winter. Detroit was closed for opinion about three months. And like i say like the first month and a half we didn't have idea for how long will gonna stay close. You know they you know they were than we open to track those fans. It wasn't it is not the same you know they we had to go to saratoga saratoga meet were like it's like were driven by the by the fans what we do we do it for the fans just such a good connection between fans and the job that we do that i mean he makes makes a great you know he makes you job enjoyable and start any. Was you know it was very sad. You know it was not safe. You know we gotta do what we have to do for like say there was something that you know. We learned that we don't we don't we don't want to take for granted anymore like having the fans like and and every track you know and and yeah me like thinks are opening. Now you know little by little you know. I still do not like it's not as i wish to be. But you know hopefully soon sooner than later well said and then pull it back into use a dad here junior What type of disciplinarian are you as a dad and is that different than the discipline. Stout grew up with. You know. ah yes. it's different culture here my wife. She's american you know she's from here so it's a little different. You know sometimes gets a little challenging the way. She does a of the way that i grew up doing. Stop and learning how to do it. You know but sometimes you know there's compromise sometimes you have to kind of lay back and let it do it later. Put the kids in plays away should think is the best way and like i say sometimes has to get involved in a little bit of this banking because you know some you know like i just talking something that That don't get it. Something like remain. Remind them that like. Hey i'm right here. You know you have to follow those rules. Like i dunno you know but yeah you know. That's that's what it was. When i grew up when i grew up. You know. I remember just being like my mom was the one they like. Put the rules in the house. She's she was the one that you don't do this. Don't do you don't do that. Might that was kinda like the laid back i. I'm you know. But i say like you know for. My mom was very very strict person. But like i say. I i The tie you know. I said like qisas my mom. She's all too much too much too much. Now that i'm a firearms like i'm glad she was there which i will never be deca person i entered. I will never like a b. at this disposition today like being an israeli. You know you you know some good things happen like for the same thing. I lie about things in your life. You know like and like i say us having that in mind having that good discipline the the you know my father my mom and my dad put it to me. You know. i'll never went the wrong way. You know your ideas. It's important junior. I talk about a lot on on the podcast here that we have a fatherless crisis going on we have so many kids that are growing up without a father and i. I was one that grew up with that. Wait till your father gets home type of deal and that was enough to kind of set me straight and i think if you don't have that father influence in the household i think we received a lot of devastating results in society as a result of that different hundred percent. You know and that's how we can. We can do it right now. You know i the one they can. Sometimes i do the spanky event doing the one that last person to to going case like when she can not say that she can handle it for when she's kind of like dong with that when i company but you know is rarely gets to the you know when they knew is gonna be you know. They're gonna start what they have to do. And you think like. I say that's how i grew up and and and you know i was fine. You know and they knew right from wrong. I knew what i was supposed to do. And you were. What what. I'm not supposed to do and like i said i. I don't think it's a har- but you simply you have to put you know like set of rules and you know you have to respect and and what's interesting about that. I got four kids myself and all four require like a little bit of a different style of discipline to the same style. Don't spank you don't work for all four to same way so It's definitely finding the right way to each one of them the way that they've did the way that they'll respond to discipline too is a is a challenge and a learning process itself. So yeah well you know it's like i say is very challenging and like i say we learn every day like i can do this with the with my fire. All like the girl. I i i don't have the will to second you know. She's more like a sensitive. She's very even if you put you on a little high. She gets very sensitive. She took crying right away. So you know we kinda work out like how to like the best way to. Let's say to punisher in case she's doing some she's no support when she's gonna listen. She's not well. you know. Always find a way how to make sure she just stop stopping. She'll listen to us and respect all cheat. You learn west you supposed to do. Yeah i'm right there with you but my youngest is my only girl. I i have a six year old girl. She's my baby. So i definitely struggled with way. I mean definitely better at disciplining the boys than her. So i'm still learning on that bringing it back into what you do. You raised a lot of different places. What would you say. Is your favorite racetrax ride. Search dog racetrack. Saratoga like that is no. You know there is no place like your second set com baz. I will say probably keeneland is a gray race drag your defense. There are unbelievable. Amazing party sauntering about saratoga is like i don't know the whole found in saratoga racetrack. The lake is our is about horse racing. You know in. You know when you're like i said when when i'm at work when i'm in town just that must fear is just unbelievable. Yeah yeah good stuff yeah. Saratoga is obviously one of the most recognizable places in all horse racing. So now obviously could talk derby here. We're a little bit as of now putting this out here right before the kentucky derby. I know you had the candy rocket man. Things didn't break the way you wanted them to in the wood memorial. Do you have any other mouse. That you're hoping to aim towards the kentucky derby and who do you think is the horse to beat right now for the derby and a couple horses you know still kind of like a fifty fifty right there..

Biden To Allow Some Separated Migrant Families To Reunite
"A new bite administration policy to allow Children who remain in the U. S s custody after being separated from their parents of the border to reunite with their parents in the United States or in their country of origin. Suzanne Potter reports. Under President Donald Trump. Parents were deported without their Children and hundreds of kids remain in U. S care. Debra Weinstein, with the coalition on Human needs, says the separations harmed Children and amounted to a shocking moral failure. What the Trump administration did enforcing Children and families apart was unspeakably cool, and it was contrary to our moral code into the rule of law. The Biden administration is taking unnecessary and inhumane step. Weinstein says the government should consider restitution and look at giving the family's a pathway to citizenship. It is unclear if families that already have been reunited abroad will be allowed to come to the US while they pursue their claims of asylum. Opponents of the change say it will encourage a new surge of asylum seekers at the border, says CIA. Alvarado is Nevada state director for the nonprofit Mi Familia. Time, she says. This is an important win for the immigrant community. I'm a mother and a month on immigrant. Just the thought of it to be separated from my daughter. It's terrifying. Biden signs orders to undo Trump administration's immigration policies
"Look now at president. Biden's latest moves to undo the trump administration's hardline anti immigrant policies in an address from the oval office. Tuesday president biden built on executive orders. He announced during his first week in office by signing three new orders with first action day. We're going to work on. Do the moral of national shame of the previous administration that literally not figuratively river children from the arms of their families and their mothers and fathers at the border and with no plan none whatsoever to reunify children still custody and and their parents. The second action addresses the root causes of our migration to our southern border and the third action. The third order. I'm going to be signed orders. A full review of the previous administrations harmful and counterproductive immigration policies. Basically across the board. One new order establishes a task force to reunify migrant families separated under trump's zero tolerance policy. It'll be led by homeland security secretary a hundred my orcas who was confirmed tuesday by the senate as the first latin necks and immigrant to lead the department. Arcus was born in havana. Cuba is the son of jewish. Cuban refugees from the holocaust biden also ordered a review of the trump policy known as remain in mexico that requires non mexican migrants to stay in. Mexico is their immigration cases wine through court and has left tens of thousands of asylum seekers waiting in dangerous conditions along the border. This is asylum. Seeker marlins speaking to the advocacy group. People without borders boy both in front tariffs about facing homelessness with their family after being sent to mexico most vividly remember when we arrived to the immigration office mexico. They didn't give us a place to sleep or anything to eat. Our children's slept on the floor. That night this comes as immigration and customs enforcement. Ice has deported. Hundreds of immigrants in recent days despite biden's coal for moratorium including a survivor of the two thousand nine thousand nine hundred mass shooting at the el paso texas walmart. She was deported to mexico last week. The woman identified only as rosa had been cooperating in the investigation into the shooting local outlets report. She was apprehended after a traffic. Stop for a broken brake light. This is rose speaking by phone with el paso station. Kvil a when. He told me to go to the police station. They can working my i. I want to call. What would happen every pain. I'm hoping to be there be bad. Be okay the vital. The biden administration is also deported. A man named paul perilous to haiti. Who knew your congress member. Mondaire jones had worked successfully stopped the deportation just weeks ago before biden was sworn in but around three m tuesday morning. He tweeted quote at three. Am my staff woke to an urgent call. Suddenly and in the dead of night ice was set to deport. Rockland county's beloved paul peerless. To haiti a country where he has never been unquote for more. We're joined by two guests in tijuana mexico. Eric opinion does with us an immigration attorney and the policy director for a low laval in english the other side also with us out of bogado senior reporter veal from the center for investigative reporting. We welcome you both to democracy now auto. let's begin with you. Can you explain what's going on. You have these executive actions that are extremely important including one that calls for a halt to deportations. This is the president of the united states and yet hundreds of people have been deported under this new administration. What is going on having me amy. What we're seeing is quite a departure from the previous administration. I don't want a discount. The importance appearances the importance of the way that the president of this country talks about in human being including people who may be detained or deported. we're also seeing a lot of really great language and the commission of a task force Another order to suspend deportations and yet we see a continuation of the same practices that happened under president trump previously endure obama. And i do think that there's a difference. There's absolutely a difference in tone but what we're seeing is for example with the commission of the tasks worse receiving. Dha outing which is at the same agency that separated children at the border. Now tasked with figuring out where where. These families aren't so little unclear. What will happen after that. And i think that a lot of people that have been talking to in in the last day or so since the executive orders announced it doesn't really go far enough and also sets a commission in in some cases a task force for something that allowed people voted on the biden ticket as sort of stood against all of that stood against those families operations to the that we now need a task force to figure out how to move forward with having something in place when by also has the house and the senate of rings hollow from people. Erica i wanted to ask you about your clients. Alvero and his son alvarado junior who just turned nine years old. The little boy said all he wants for his birthday is to be reunited with his father. They've been separated since he was six years old. This is auto speaking to nbc news about the day. The two were separated. An officer told me. Give me your children's things because you are going to different places. And i didn't know what was going to happen to my child. So erica pineyro if you can talk about among the executive orders are this issue of separation. The hundreds over six hundred children still left. It's believed Separated from their parents. In some cases the administration doesn't even know where the parents are in hundreds of cases. They may well be in the united states and another few hundred they may be outside the united states but i mean clearly biden is put a top priority on this because the people serving on this committee or the secretary of homeland security. My arcus just confirmed the secretary of health and human services the former attorney general of california bestseller and the attorney general yet to be confirmed and first lady joe biden.

Colombia Supreme Court Orders Ex-President Álvaro Uribe Detained
"Colombia on Tuesday ordered the arrest of former President Alvarado re bay who's one of the country's most powerful politicians. Many Colombians adore rebate for leading a military offensive against Marxist guerrillas. But he has long faced allegations of human rights abuses. Here's reporter John Otis during his two terms as Colombia's president Alvarado Bebe's hardline security policies badly weakened the guerrillas who eventually signed a peace treaty. After he left office in 2010. Reba was elected to the Senate and helped elect the next two Colombian presidents. Followers really believe that he is the greatest Colombian ever to. I don't know to walk on Columbus. That's Paulie Martinez, a columnist for the Colombian newsmagazines, Samana. She points out that rebates presidency was also plagued by scandals under Areva's watch. Army troops killed thousands of innocent civilians then claimed they were guerilla fighters Rebates Intelligence agency spied on journalists, opposition leaders and Supreme Court judges. His current troubles stem from allegations that during the war rebased supported the formation of paramilitary death squads. The Supreme Court is now investigating whether rebate bribed witnesses to change their testimony. Sergio Guzman is the director of the consultancy Columbia Risk Analysis. The evidence against President you. It must be pretty solid for the Supreme Court to take the step. However, the news that rebate would be placed under house arrest. Outraged his supporters, including current president even Duke, Scanlon said. I will pay scumbag body See if he ended and we were done. He pointed out that the guerrillas and they had fought so hard to defeat and who have been accused of kidnappings and massacres have avoided prison under the generous terms of Colombia's 2016 peace treaty. But even Cepeda, the opposition senator, who accused Reba of having ties to paramilitaries, was elated. Why personas in Colombia? It's important, Seema. President Maduro Consolidates Power As The Opposition Grows Weaker
"Backed opposition in Venezuela has spent years trying to dislodge authoritarians President Nicolas Maduro. Nothing has worked instead, as John Otis reports Maduro has consolidated power, while the opposition appears to be growing weaker by the day. It wasn't long ago that Maduro's days appeared to be numbered. His oil rich country was facing its worst economic meltdown in history as well as crippling U. S sanctions. Nearly 60 nations recognised opposition leader Kwon Guido as Venezuela's rightful head of state in January. Why, though, was a guest of honor at President Trump's State of the Union address here this evening? A very brave man who carries with him the hopes, dreams and aspirations of all Venezuelans. Joining us in the gallery is the true and legitimate president of Venezuela. Juan Guido. Mr President, please take this message, but Nicolas Maduro is still ensconced in the presidential palace. The Venezuelan military has ignored y those calls to mutiny. Anti government protests have petered out. Meanwhile, the opposition is split between moderates who favor negotiations and hardliners who want military action to oust Maduro. The hardline strategy backfired in May, when a tiny force of exiled Venezuelan soldiers tried to invade their homeland. They were quickly captured or killed. So is very stock for us. Right now. We have a very, very complicated situation. That's unhealthy. Alvarado Ah, lawmaker with an opposition party called First Justice. The government jailed several party members. Then last month in a legal maneuver, it replaced the leaders of first justice and two other opposition parties, with politicians friendly to Maduro. Alvarado claims these new party bosses were paid off to switch sides. First, they persecute the literature off our party. Then they tried to divide us on DH. Then they replace the leadership of our party with new months that received the money off Maduro. The Venezuelan government ignored NPR's requests for comment. Chef Ramsay of the Washington office on Latin America, says Maduro wants to weaken but not eliminate the opposition. It is ultimately useful for the regime to point to the existence of opposition politicians in Venezuela, as it allows them to say that they live in a democracy. Maduro controls nearly every government institution. Except for the National Assembly, which is led by Juan Guido. But now the opposition is talking about boycotting this year's legislative elections because of fears of vote rigging. If the opposition does boycott why, though, will no longer be president of the Legislature. Jeff Ramsey notes that this post is the basis for his claim to be Venezuela's legitimate head of state. The international community is going to be at a crossroads where they'll have to decide whether to continue recognizing one way, although as interim president Venezuela at a recent rally in Caracas. Why, though, tried to buck up his followers, But if there's a political physical office, you know He acknowledged that they're worn down and frustrated. But he insisted the opposition would outlast Maduro. No, only are the wellbore idea. They are not going to defeat us. Why, though, proclaimed, We are still here
Tiz The Law Owner Jack Knowlton On Belmont Win
"Will here it is Jack Knowlton visiting with Anthony's to bill on. Red Brand radio. Congratulations on a fantastic win. A lot of people feel like it was seventeen years in the making my friend. Well we finally got our triple. Crown for Sakho Toga for Barclay tag and took us two horses and seventeen years, but from what I understand. It's still kind of fight for Barclay There aren't a lot of trainers at You know is one three legs of the triple crown in recent years. Yeah and you know you guys together. Seventeen years apart, and with New York breads and I know that's the. The mantra over attack a Toga. You guys support that program as well as anyone. Well I was pretty fascinated to learn that it was one hundred thirty eight years since the new. York breaded, won the. Belmont stakes now I know a lot of people are going to say well, then really count you know at you know. It wasn't a mile and a half and Yada, Yada but. In my mind, anybody who watched that race, who questions who would have won that race? It has been a mile and a half. I think the outcome would have been exactly the same as it was at amendment eight. And, Barkley had gone on record is before the race saying you know I would have liked a mile and a half of the source, and he's a horse again. New York Brad and that's what you guys do, you? You've been high on this horse from day one. Well. I watched them train at Saratoga. I mean you're up there and I'd go over at six o'clock in the morning 'cause. That was a time of day that Berkeley landed of track. It was almost darker. She got near the end of the need of what's dark. And not only did he. You know have a good works, and you know work quickly, not crazy fast, but you know good works. But the way he galloped out, I mean they couldn't pull him up. He goes around the second turn. After you know going, pass the finish line and writers just added tremendously difficult time pulling them up junior. Alvarado was riding. Mine is is raised back then, and when I saw that we went into a first range of six and a half furlong maiden mates for New York. Badge I really had a lot of confidence and He's lived up to it so one little bump in a road when he got stuck down inside and the worst part of the race track and Kentucky Jockey Club At. The end of November other than that He really has been flawless. Yeah. That's lobby. Track back in November. He's just been He's been impeccable. The rest of the way the covid nineteen outbreak of course forced post moment of the Kentucky Derby the preakness to. The. Bom obviously the biggest change with the Belmont was not only the two weeks, but the distance. You've mentioned the ASTERISK. We'll get to that in a minute You guys pretty much. And gals I don't want to offend anybody in Saratoga those thirty-five parts of this. Is that accurate? Seven and funny is that I was that six or seventy? You guys and funny side. We had ten ten. Okay, okay only. The same folks lieutenant. And I the only holdovers class. You guys Gus Williams. He passed away several years ago as dead one of our other great partners Dave Man but Ruined I gave remaining to. Stay with it and never in the world expecting that we would get the kind of horse that we've gotten here with the law. And this was an important race for you to win Jack Not that you don't want to win. The Derby again or the preakness again, but the Belmont stakes with your dedication to new. York, Brad's and New York, and let's face it. you know in a game where horses changed hands an awful lot. You and Barclay have been together two decades at this point. This was a very important race for you guys to to tick the box on. It was, and now he's got one more coming up in my hometown Saratoga Springs I've lived thirty five years I know Barkley wants to win it badly as do I and. Really if we can you know, check this box. would include the champagne, which is the the most important two year old race. The Belmont stakes obviously being biggest Belmont. Race and We get the travers at Saratoga. That's quite a triple. And that's pretty remarkable. When you consider you know you started this twenty years ago. As pretty much. Just some friends getting together and buying some horses. We had six guys and Sackett Cyber. I find the eastern end of Lake Ontario I went to high school. We were having our usual. Memorial Day weekend, bearing barbecue, and my wife and I would go up there and visit and I had been in the harness. Business Standard Bread business I guess for about a dozen years and got out. In in ninety four. And somebody up there said well. Why don't we buy a thoroughbred and I said you know figuring I've never gonNA hear anything about it again. I said okay. I said you know, let's each put in five thousand dollars. I knew Tim Kelly at that point who's a trainer and works at is never now. so I got a hold of me and he found this a New York Brad for twenty two thousand dollars. We named him the second sex after the six of us. From Sackett Cyber and came up with the name sack Toga stable after sack I Saratoga and made ourselves Maroon and gray, which are high school college. So. That's how it all started.
Some people are making bread in quarantine. Others are making TikToks
"The short video platform tiktok was already a big hit before the pandemic but since so many people have been stuck at home since march a lot. More people are discovering it and even though tiktok is in the news for its new. Ceo kevin meyer. Who was poached from disney and for record labels who think the service should pay more to publishers and artists for using their songs and for actual calls to ban it in the us over its chinese ownership and security and privacy fears. Well people like marketplace own. Hey super alvarado are finding that in quarantine. It's just kind of fun. More than three hundred million people downloaded tiktok in the first quarter of this year. That's fifty percent more than last quarter and total two billion downloads. Laura pearson a student at usc who happens to be my roommate started hearing huge buzz about tiktok ride before her spring break. Her friends were sending her lots of links sketches and dance videos. So she downloaded the out thinking. Yeah nice easy way to kill some quarantine time. It's like this cute little app. You can record videos. She started to spend more and more time on tiktok when she wasn't zooming into her classes soon enough. She started producing. She recruited arlene. Pereira are other roommate. She's of course also home from her teaching job at el camino college here in southern california. They chose zico's any song. So we spent the whole night trying to figure out how to do the dance and have a certain level of swag arse it out of the way in the living room wall. My roommate's discovered how much time it takes to perfect tiktok dance and that just gave me a whole new perspective on tiktok that you see these super silly videos but boy is it quite the production darlene. Then we all decided well. Let's do this. We invested in a really nice phone Tripod with a Cute Little Bluetooth control on Amazon. You can even find bundles. Called Tiktok kits including a ring light tripod and some other fancy stuff with prices ranging from forty five sixty and even up to ninety bucks. My first tries to sketches not amazing but still funny right now. Almost two thirds of tiktok users are under the age of thirty four. It's especially popular with eight hundred. Twenty four year olds. Yup that's us. Talent agents are getting in on the action managing famous tiktok trying to get work in Hollywood and connecting social media. But now she can't even drink. And you know what I think with teddy like. She's one of those housewives I can imagine only gets a lot of like like tweets Bob Boring. She is an then curious to know what she got from being back on the show like I get that it helps her business but like she must feel humiliated a lot. I think though I mean she cried during when when sentence coulter boring yeah that was too much and I know that she was triggered by the fact that she said. Oh you're pregnant but I as much as Sutton was not very nice in. That moment. Suddenly bent like. Oh you're boring because you can't do anything and that's the truth on sorry like this is you. Nobody wants to see teddy like unlike a girl. I mean not that these women get wasted anyway like on the on the occasions they do get wasted in I don't WANNA see Teddy. Just like sitting there being like. Oh I have my water now or something like I'm GonNa go to bed like nobody wants to see that nobody wants to see. Nobody wants Because you know every time drunk which is not often kyle always gets into the let her split so much. Every time she goes into a split. My concern us like wiped out on the floor. Every time she goes into his someone else's how Mike that's who asked you to do those like this is not appropriate. The and I'll tell you what's even worse. "That was August Fashion Week commend happens In September and it looks like we're about six or seven something like that like at least like six weeks now in like between episode one and episode was three or four or four week. Yeah I think we're about six weeks through which makes which I think is great. I love that. They're moving fast. But meanwhile New York they were five episodes It's not it's like. It's about five days. Truly two weeks worth of footage. It's amazing okay. Since you're so good at math and my head is exploding trying to think about this but you have an uncanny ability to figure it all out. Explain to me than where we are in terms of when denise stopped filming like. Where's that going to happen in the time line? And how much time do we have before? We catch up to that so denise claims that she stopped filming the show said episode. One Not Chiron Denise the group in December yet I think I think right now. We're not tober sometime. In Eastern Europe we could be in December in two weeks basic. I mean we could be because next next week is already the Bravo Bravo fucking Bravo Club. Notts next week. Because that's when she taught because here's the thing. Are you sure in five Brandon same thing so that Bravo Bravo fucking bravo does not have to do with the brand? Eat Denise drama the next week because I don't remember chopping next week. Okay Wow yes. So what do we think it? Is Airing Cuckoo? Had I think it might be so? Here's the thing so teddy. I think Doritos well so tidy said on twitter. During the Premiere that the Rama fucking Bravo thing is that that does not have to do with you know with The didn't being sprint. He stop because apparently the women had issues with Denise Right before that a nice from what I remember reading in the online When they were filming an I want to say that they should have it. News for a while was felt. A denise was very in and out assuming on because at that point denise was doing beautiful really and I miss that Yup yeah. She was doing the soap opera so she was doing that and I think they were. You know They were trying to. I'm trying to think there were upset with denise because she was filming which I think is interesting because we've gotten a lot of denise this season so far and if anything ourselves what who says that she's been in another filming because she's also working and I think that shows more so far in the season like I think it's very clear that car sales very in and out but denise looks like. She's very much filming an either. I don't yet and she showed up to that dinner right like I don't notice if there was any absence I've not noticing it. Maybe it happens after. Maybe it happened in the in between that we haven't seen right and I think the wind. I did also read that. They were upset because they felt like denise was sort of leaning in to what was so popular about her which was like kind of like easy breezy. Cool like kind of making fun of the women for being so fancy when she was in like her old navy shorts and like mask like yeah exactly talking about like errands. Big Tina's and I can see that I mean listen. I think it's clear that she's leaning into that. I love that about denise. She's one of my favorite recall.

It wasn't a good production was there she said like. Oh Yeah we have our our iphone footage or whatever it was like her and Ron Win. And Emily wouldn't weird. I and Kelly. What a cast is you're saying yeah now that you're saying their names out loud. I feel like I might sit the season now. I just Bronwyn triggers. Something in me just hearing her name. Why Ron would? I didn't mind her but I do think that broad like looking for now I mind her. Now because I real- minder now yes but during the actual season I was A. She's okay right. Says she was sort of like? I think a lot of people are freaked out by the idea of housewives coming on the show the fans of the show but I'd like to remind people that any housewife was coming on the show on any of these shows eight seasons nine seasons or like. Oc Fourteen seasons end. They're going to ban you're just not going to have. I think if anyone saying that they don't really watch the show there joining. I think they're buying anything that stupid. They should be watching the show that they're joining. I would never do a television show that I have not seen. Okay I agree with you however I still want you to solve the mystery of. Why Leah from New York? Said she didn't know what Giovanni was obviously a yes. I think Leeann so Leeann said she did not know what Germany was because she said she did watch New York but she stopped watching around the time. When the whole Tom Thing happened like I think on my guest based on what I'm gathering the last season she probably watched with season. Eight with land got engaged to Tom and then found out that he was cheating. That's an amazing. Why she would stop there. I don't know yeah I noticed about Dozo. Could I know the show is such a peak at that point? I don't know how she had the will to to drop out but she right but she claims that bats what happened. I would assume I would assume that. When she found out she was joining the show. I assume you probably caught up so again. That doesn't really so we're back to the question of Haddish not know what Giovanni was. I'm GONNA assume she played it up the princess. I think to it had to think there's really other explanation. Yeah I mean she did a good job of it. She did a really good job. I I'M GONNA leave the New York stuff to you and Aaron. 'cause you do it so beautifully but I am just to say in summary. With the season I absolutely love it. Annely love it. I Love I love. I love the show a lovely I should say I luckily on the show. 'cause I know people I know there's you know there's a she has passed. That has come out with some comments but I love her on the show. We don't need to let people in real life. We just need to let them for the show. I mean listen I think at this point you know people who are GonNA continue to watch? Oc C. Knowing what Kelly been saying publicly a I. I just think when it comes to the housewives. Yeah I wouldn't look at them as you know my moral compass I because if I did then I been a lot of them a lot about we know. That Ramona's trumper. But I want Ramona on the show. Exactly right and listened to. I want to hear Ramona. Probably says when the cameras are not they're probably not notably dot with her close group of girlfriends. I would probably not want to hear it so I mean we know what she says when the cameras are on. So can you imagine exactly? That reminds me of my God. I don't really watch Melbourne but I have seen clips here and there and I know it's like one of the best. I have to watch but went into housewives. Nickname is Janet. Her tagline was something. Like you know if if you're say Jim wouldn't thinking that just reminds you totally that's awesome. I love that all right but here we are today to talk about the real housewives of Beverly Hills. So before we dig into this week's tell me how you're feeling about the season in general I love it. I love that. We're moving at a very fast rate. I we're clearly moving fast. I was reading a tweet today. Actually actually did math myself before I was like this is interesting. You're no good. Well you know. It's I was thinking about this because now that we're lining up. You Know New York Beverly Hills in terms like for fashion week. You know both cities have now added league. So they're same time but you know. We're Beverly Hills. I think it's obvious that they they had water footage. Probably about a month's worth four on the season starts because if you're looking at if you remember when the press release came out of course ellen sudden rejoining.

All the housewives are doing during quarantine except for oc because certainly letting us know that they are not have. What's going on there? It's bizarre? It looks like Shannon has decided she decided to host a social distant socially distant like happy hour with the girls which was one Shannon I kinda thought would be the person who would be super super super paranoid. Because she's I mean I understand. Why should be nervous about the current affairs but she's afraid of like anything so. I thought that she would be like. I'm not seeing anybody for a year. But instead she was on the hosted at her house. And she's like you're Unin scrimmage she's like here's the measuring out six feet but then she decided to take a Selfie with the girls next door. It's so Shannon and so say. I mean this is the same this is Vicky. You saw her tweet saying that they need to hear salons and and nail salons right. Yes and I saw. Kelly dodds like horrific comments on her mom. Nine I didn't we're just thinning. The herd. You know what she hosted and she limited the comments because she was getting so much posted. A video of I've I've not talked about this with anybody. So this is I mean we've not talked about. This was gonNA send it to you but She posted a video of someone else's kid playground or on the beach or something in. She's like he's. She was key so upset that he can't play time to open up because she was saying that zero people died from corona virus. And I don't know that statistic 'cause I don't live in a safe but she was like ten to open up and Andy commented saying do want him to get corona virus from the from swing and I saw it after the comments were already limited. I saw it there and I clicked back on it again and it was gone. Wow Wow it's just so I was wondering how I it's so I was wondering what he would. You know. Think about all this because he outta right exactly like that. He actually had it. And you know thinking I was wondering what he would think about. Someone like Kelly completely disregarding any beano socialist distant rules because then do you know that the new is this.

Just breathe into your nose out your mouth slowly really slow and then like you could do a different ways you can breathe in like for five seconds breathe out for five seconds and then you can start increasing the way you still your heart rate down by your breathing. It's very simple and people have different techniques and stuff like that. But I've been doing that for forever Matt and it works for me. You know first this month I did too. Yes legends with Chris. Chris Chris Riley for the Knicks used to coach rampage. Yeah he was a take a voice coach. I'm pretty sure about this ever. You talked about this restaurant or nine years. I was next door and I was minding my own business so I lived on the corner of that school. I used live right down there. I lived in Hollywood don between I lived between Hollywood and sunset on Salma and there were nice to do early and would walk two to whatever that was on the corner there a Thai restaurant. I take my shoes off. Because he's GonNa get I try and eat while somebody's in trying to eat when somebody's finding a brown one and the ad on satellite shit. So that's how I know Eddie. So when they would talk about did you Jitsu then they would get to the point where they would travel impacts and we would go do comedy at the comedy that would clean out for confront in front and Eddie would wrestle somebody from the staff that was like a purple belt in Arizona. Mommy nights at Tate. Tait Fletcher Take it would be me Eddie. Read Ban Ari. Tate Duncan and Gel paid the RN Dunkin digits So so everybody was taken into jet to accept me and they'd be out in that hallway fucking fighting. That I'm at the Tempe Improv. He's the one that used to run ten point at San Francisco. I still remember him being a sixteen year old kid and a sneak into the back door and me going on stage. Age Bringham Rogan up and going back to the San Jose Green Room and they'd be wrestling shoes a. b. off like when they were the juicy back in man like mid nineties in South Carolina. There is no Jujitsu in South Carolina. I stopped to drive Virginia Beach to train with the Blue Belt. And then I'd go back and get one of my taekwondo buddies or hockey to buddies. Show what I knew. And then we'd fuck and find piece of carpet somewhere or wherever fucking fucking just train wherever man because you know there are no mats or I would go to a Jitsu judo gym or something like that where they had mats and just roll with those cats..
Active wildfires are fast-moving disasters, and the fallout can be terrible, too
"Of our series how we survive. We've been looking at how tech can help us adapt to climate change today. We're looking at fires and smoke. NASA and its Jet Propulsion Laboratory are launching flights to gather more data about the lingering pollutants from fires by flying things straight into the smoke plumes. We can't actually see these super tiny pollutants but they are big enough to affect our breathing especially for those who have asthma both NASA and JPL are learning more from studying the plumes during an active fire as well as the air post fire to help understand how these pollutants could affect us over the long run. Marketplace is text Hayes Use Alvarado reports earlier this fall NASA and JPL sin two planes flying into some plumes of wildfires northern California. The planes were on a special mission. Shen together air samples from an active fire carbon dioxide carbon monoxide nitrogen Nitrous Oxide Particulate matter the talk show style rose and Applied Sciences engineer at J. p. l.. She says flying planes very close to the flames to grab air samples as necessary because the existing awesome data. NASA generates comes from too far away those hybrid satellite images from space useful for tracking and even anticipating the path of fire. Can't give us enough information about the breathe here on earth but air samples can tell us about the fuel composition. How high the plume is being injected into the atmosphere? And how dense that plume is and doctors and scientists are hungry for that data to answer questions. Like how much ash will be trapped in the atmosphere wants to flames are out. How will our breathing an overall health down here on earth be affected? All of these are things that will affect how far that the emissions Sion's will carry and in fact we've actually seen fires from Canada affecting air quality in Florida you took the planes house emission the D. C. Eight flies down one of the fire with hoses attached to the outside of the plane sucking air into empty tanks for evaluation back at the lab the Er two cruises that so many thousand feet about twice as harder than commercial flights using high tech sensors to detect how hot the fire is an measure. The height of the flames scientists can use this data to to extrapolate down when effects of the fires because a super tiny particulate matter too small for the naked eye to see literally affects every living organism born an even unborn. They've actually also recently found some of those particulates on the lining of a fetus. The mother was breathing a an literally affected her baby. Would doctors need to know. Is What happens. Long-term when the respiratory system and even the lining of the amniotic sock where the baby is growing eh exposed for weeks or months to invisible fallout from a wildfire. JPL's a style road says emissions are targeted to help find answers trying to get at the relevant relevant information for decision making so that decision makers can make it quickly in an informed way climate change means wildfires are increasingly inevitable and now saying JPL have launched this research to help figure out how to live without new normal that was marketplace tax other auto. NASA also has a new APP out called called Earth. Now where you can see in real time. Active fires satellites hovering over our planet and of course a bunch of other cool NASA things And now for some related links. Australia has been fighting horrible. Bushfires in recent months that killed six people oh and created a very toxic air quality in Sydney hospital visits were up ten percent and the air quality was up to twelve times above. What's considered Hazardous speaking of Nasr's data the organization found that fires in New South Wales and Queensland pumped out almost half of Australia's yearly normal amount of greenhouse gas emissions and that because so much forest land is either burned or compromised by smoke. It's usual ability to absorb all that carbon dioxide it is also greatly reduced the T. l.. Dr Here the fires caused by hotter and drier. Weather resulting from climate change are also contributing to more climate change. Change California's carbon emissions also went up dramatically during the twenty eighteen fire season. So that's a bummer.

Do you think I saw funny tweet pardon me for not knowing who tweeted this out? But they're like, oh, the there might be another shutdown, you know, February fifteenth and somebody's like, oh, so that'll start you know, on the fourth. On midnight on Valentine's Day, which means Trump could fuck the whole country at once. So again, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to joke. I don't remember who it was. But not mine, but I loved it credit to the internet. That was dope was fuck. And I really liked it. Do you have any thoughts about the ending the shutdown last week? I'm I'm sure by the time this eras at will other news was just did it to distract from his homeboy Rogerstown getting fucking or at the same day. Yeah. I did it. Then it works already forgotten about it. I mean, if he's good at anything, it is controlling the narrative, and that's exactly what he did. I think if that hadn't happened it would have well he needed to win. But it wasn't really when it was more like just like a stalemate got up there and got to give his little stump speech for like Walzer effective. I think he just really wanted to do the state of the union. I he was just like on the shutdowns over with so downs over let me talk forget any of that. Like, let's just get the man the Taylor. I would have a gofundme main just to fuck in just fix the tie tie. It was longer than many dresses. I wear like it was too fucking much. I like to win he win. Visit the troops anywhere. Like that. "Last week they're going gonna just move out in pitching tiger in the fourteenth inning because they ran out of pitchers we had a weekend one two were it was as sukree i think came in and said of alvarado yeah exactly relieving yeah anyway we'll myers you know not time we're gonna win a batting title but that's a thirty thirty type player every season and i don't know why still want somebody leaves do you think he gets to the i mean in terms of the the pace of remaining games do you think he gets to a pace of thirty stolen bases though that would be the side i'm a little bit wary of but twenty twenty would be outstanding if you've even got to that pace unless you're joey gals batting average if you're going to go twenty twenty and season you should be rosser and eventually i think even if you're joey gallus batting average even here still with those homers nobody's on pace for forty steals right now so anybody who is twenty twenty and myers has done in the past couple of seasons it'd be roster never leave this is a number three outfielder i i'm not gonna say we'll myers the top ten fantasy for it but he's kind of close i think he could be but i hesitate with him just based on another guy say the injury track record the only thing i really am i'm wearing with him you know i'm back to you are you know i feel like he's this here's cody bellinger we just didn't think he'd play and you know like you couldn't make a case to roster aggie back in april right you could not in our game but in everything deeper and the main reason you would have said no to it is just that there was a question he'd make the roster so the the the most remarkable part of the story is that the brewers themselves were not thinking about putting them on the opening day roster but he made it he's all we you and i mentioned his name during spring training i recall this i said he'd hit righties if he would i thought if you could just play every day but i mean how could that possibly have happened when they had four outfielders i mean it's the tanna was best ather last year they pick up kenny yelich they're not going to sit ryan braun over the are and then they had eric fame's to platoon i if they wanted to brown was going to make the first bronze now on the dl braun his probably the least useful all these guys are just a week or two ago i said now he's just not that good and not that healthy tell you hit forty home runs and the telling thing for aguilar's this among right handed hitters qualified for batting title he has the majors eighth best weighted on base average against righties for ten he's out there with guys like altoona and judge machado and mike trout and jd martinez i mean that's how extraordinary this year has been and that is the big that's the big takeaway for fantasy speaking to machado i you know i don't think he's getting trade it in the next week or two i think it's gonna come down to the last day baltimore trying to get the most they can whether it's the dodgers the brewers affiliate whatever it is i've got all my money saved and in labor from china essentially but i'm talking about and i'll ask this i i don't know do you think it matters what day it is.
