Ted bundy did and that did not go. Well obviously it's total narcissism because alton was always used to talking a jury in the past into believing him and they would let him walk but in this case it didn't work for him. Apart of his closing argument was quote. I am very shocked. That i have to be accidentally brought before the court representing myself for the reason because i want to be heard. Yes i don't want to hide behind no logger. Alton coleman wanna be heard and don't care if no one like it. I want to be heard period. Don't wanna hide behind no lawyer. I don't wanna stick behind the lawyer who speak for me. Alton coleman gonna speak for himself and he is gonna speak for himself. Because i have something to say. And if it's like me are you. "The home of the temples. Deborah's fingerprint was found. On tony's michael jackson button which was ten feet away from her body as shoeprint. Matching alton was also near tony's body on the twelfth of july nineteen eighty four. The fbi were onto alton coleman. And now he was the three hundred and eighty eighth person to be on their ten most wanted list. Alternate and deborah took a bicycle ride to norwood ohio on july thirteenth around nine. Thirty in the morning they were in the house of another. Couple harry and marlene walters. At ten thirty. That morning they explained to the walters that they were fascinated by the travel trailer that they were selling and that they were interested in buying it. They were welcomed into their home. And once alton and deborah were inside all hell broke loose. Alton grabbed a candlestick and beat. Marlene around twenty five times. As if that wasn't enough a pair of vise grips reviews to completely maim her face and scout by the time they fled the scene. And the couple's plymouth vehicle. Harry was beaten to unconsciousness eventually going to the hospital to find out. He suffered brain damage and his poor wife. Marlene succumbed to her injuries. Her death was caused by hits so hard to the head that it caused skull fractures and brain injuries alternates. Fingerprints were found both inside and outside of the house. Harry walters was in a coma until september of that year. Alton and deborah were vicious ruthless and started to get messy which would eventually catch up to them. When the two left in the walter's car they'd stolen money jewelry and shoes. They left behind their bikes and even left some of their own clothes and shoes at the scene. Only two days later the red plymouth. Reliant was found deserted in kentucky. Deborah and alton abducted a college professor. Elaine carmichael junior in williamsburg kentucky then drove away with. Oh lean and the trunk of his own vehicle. Back to dayton ohio from the fifteenth to the seventeenth. Oh lane was locked away in the trunk before the deserted car was finally found and he was saved by law enforcement. Unfortunately millard and catherine gay would be visited again by the pair however this time. Alton coleman was being searched for nationwide and the gays knew this when the reverend opened his store he and his wife or packing heat and understandably so millard said to alton quote why you want to do with like that like this and alton said quote i'm not gonna kill you but we generally kill them where we go. The only damage done was alton and deborah taking millard and catherine's car and speeding away on their way back to where they lived in evanston illinois. They murdered a seventy seven year. Old man named eugene scott and took off in his car. Eugene was found in a ditch near indianapolis indiana on july nineteenth alton. Not knowing that he was on the fbi's most wanted list. He and deborah were back in their hometown crossing the street while someone was sitting at a red light who recognized him on july twentieth. I don't know if he forgot he was wanted for his prior rate and murder charge before he fled or if he just didn't care nevertheless he and deborah were back in their hometown as the couple walked off into the distance. The person who saw him turn into the next gas station and called police. Alton and deborah were enjoying their day thinking they had gotten away with all the horrible things they had done maybe even plotting where they would go next. One undercover police were searching the area and solve the to sitting at mason park. The police took note that the two were wearing different t shirts than what the person who called in said they were wearing. The policeman slowly got out of their cars because they knew how violent and desperate these two were and strolled up to the pair. Alton was trying to sneakily walk away from the park but two officers stopped him in his tracks. The detective and two sergeants went up to alton and began asking him a lot of questions when the cops were searching deborah and her purse. They found a gun she said. Her name was denise johnson alton had no ide- and even said he had no idea who alton was both were arrested on the spot and hauled off to the evanston police department or the police took their fingerprints and identified them immediately. The two can no longer deny who they really were. Alton was stripped down and searched thoroughly he had on two pairs of sweat socks and had a steak knife tug between them. When they were arrested they had shopping bags full of clothes and hats every three or four blocks. They would change their clothes and put on different hats thinking that would help them not be recognized now. The fact of the matter is most of their victims were black. It is speculated that they knew if they targeted black people someone in the neighborhood that they were in at the time might give them a place to hide on lake if he and deborah word. Who have attempted this spree and white neighborhoods. They probably would have been caught much sooner for multiple reasons. Everyone that lived in the area was so glad deborah and alton had now been caught. It was a huge relief because everyone had a feeling they would be back. A lot of people said alton looked worn out and it seemed like he had lost a lot of weight. People in the area said that by the end both of them had quote. Probably just run out of steam. One neighbor said quote. There was a community awareness about him. He wasn't going to be able to come in here and snatch anybody we were waiting for him in quote. Well debra was at the evanston police station. There was an fbi agent who told deborah her rights and according to court documents. He went on to ask her questions like her name. Age date of birth and address. He went on to ask her different things to get her to give him clues to an attack in his jurisdiction that they were suspected of.

"All. Tim began committing crimes and the local police got to know him very well. He would ruin other people's property and set fires as each year went by his crimes. Got worse and worse some sources say that. He had the tendency to dress up in women's clothes at the time and he was struggling with his sexuality as we will see he and his soon to be partner. In crime were a very unorganized chaotic killing. Payer alton was the one who pretty much told his future partner in crime what to do and selected who they were going to kill. There wasn't a certain victim profile. The murders were solely based on whoever was most convenient at the time as often got older he desired sex a lot. More which a lot of teenagers and young adults do have sex drive and they experiment but alton thoughts and actions were dark he had a thirst for sex. That was unhealthy and could only be quenched by taking advantage of and raping men women and children. A friend of altman's mother stated quote. He knew he was different even as a he grew up. He was deeply into insidious kinds of sexual gratification in quote at only nineteen years old. He already was charged for rape not once or twice but six times from nineteen. Seventy three to nineteen eighty. Three one of the charges was for the rate of his own eight year. Old niece his twenty five year old sister's daughter alton sister would lighter decide to drop the charges on her brother. He may have browbeaten her to drop the charges because he was known to do that. To a lot of his victims unfortunately intimidation was something he was very good at his sister stated and court when she testified weeks later quote. It's a misunderstanding. A lot of families go through that it make any difference now in quote. The judge was in total disbelief saying quote. I think the woman as she stands here today is terrified of this man in quote in the end the judge had no choice he had to let alton go and terminate the charges alton even made. The jurors believed that. The cops had apprehended. The wrong person that it wasn't him it was someone else. It usually worked like a charm. Two of the cases against him were dismissed and two other cases. He pleaded guilty to the lesser charges and he was acquitted two times according to his friends. Alton also had trust and confidence in the supernatural to assist him and avoiding real justice he professed that voodoo made him invulnerable to being condemned by the law. He couldn't keep up the act and is true colors would soon show. Debra brown was one of eleven children. She was also an electorally. Disabled deborah suffered trauma to the head as a little girl. People described her as being very dependent on others and nineteen eighty three. She and alton coleman met deborah was engaged at the time but she left her family behind to move in with him not long after they met. Deborah had never been malicious violent or in trouble with the police until she an all alternate got together alton was supposed to go on trial and illinois. He was scheduled to be there on charges for raping and some sources say he even murdered a fourteen year old little girl instead. The wanted man and deborah ran off together and would begin their killing spree in may of nineteen eighty-four. Alton became friends with a mother of two from kenosha wisconsin. Her name was juanita wheat. She had a little girl only nine years. Old name. vernita and a seven year. Old little boy named brandon alton told juanita he was a neighbor of hers named robert night and even showed her and i d with that name on it. That's how he started to get in good with juanita. He began to come over to see her and the kids over the next few weeks having dinner with them and playing with the children after he befriended the family he showed up to juanita's apartment spent time with her and her children and met juanita's cousin. Willie mae peebles on may twenty ninth nineteen eighty-four alton made a surprise visit to juanita's apartment building and without being invited inside he went into the apartment of juanita's neighbor ellen reeves whom juanita was visiting juanita introduced outon to ellen with juanita's permission alton took the children to a carnival and had them home by tim fifteen that night he had completely gained her trust by this point that same night shortly after he brought the kids home juanita said it was fine if her nine year old daughter road with alton over to his apartment really quick to pick up some of hysteria equipment. He was only using this as an opportunity to kidnap the child and take her bag to wall keegan illinois. Juanita would not see her daughter alive again when alton had not brought her daughter home by ten forty five that night juanita and ellen started to look for her approximately one hour later. Juanita call the police. The two women identified alton picture who they thought was robert night. This whole time at the police station and in court later for natives body was found in an abandoned building and the bathroom on the nineteenth of june nineteen eighty-four terribly decomposed. The cause of her death was from being strangled with a ligature. Her chest neck and hands were bound with cable wire. This deserted building that vernita was in was only four blocks away. I am a weird combination of bleary eyed but highly caffeinated from reading court documents up until about two or three o'clock in the morning basically every night this week. Alton gonzales covers major league baseball for espn from los angeles so the hearing that starts today alden. Which is why you've been up all hours. Explained where things stand with that. What type of case. This is because trevor. Bauer has not been arrested. He has not been charged with a crime. Helped me understand where things on the legal side of this between this twenty-seven-year-old woman whose name we are not using and trevor bauer. What's on the line in the hearings this week. So pablo this bauer case. It's neither criminal trial nor a civil proceeding. Nobody is seeking compensation here. It is simply a request from the woman in question for no contact and protection from trevor. Bauer she has been granted a temporary restraining order. And so this week. The court in los angeles is going to decide whether or not to make that permanent now in california making it permanent means that he is not allowed to contact or be around that woman for up to five years and trevor. Bauer could be ordered to not just stay away from the woman in communicate with her but maybe not also be allowed to possess any

"Yes. This was interesting because a what really bothered me and the earliest seasons was. She was so scornful towards jerome without even realizing that the room was that buffer between franklin and the streets and he did so much to make sure that franklin was okay and then you know once it became legitimate money. She was all for it. Yup yes she. She didn't at least we get to see how realize we get to see how realize how importance jerome played in all this. It wasn't jerome. Sporting franklin franklin was way beyond that. You know not i disagree. More jerome came into it just so he could protect Franklin and once this is all out. I think that sort of repair the bond and relationship. They got to be together enjoying each others company after that. What are the things. That dazs really grinding. My gears and it comes to sisi is she is so fucking flippant the eh the flipflop. She can be turned one way or another. Just flip of a switch or coin more specifically dot makes sense. 'cause i remember the whole gentrification thing. She's like franklin all right. Move on and it's like lady. She seems. I think this is why we get a difference. Sort of reaction from all we get to see the difference between the city and fraud and alton is inasmuch as alton stands up for he thinks is dried in. Cdc's the wrong that's happening by. She just doesn't want to rock the boat. She said she's lost franklin before she's going to lose again lose him again 'cause she was also indulging in the riches yourself bling indo not a bad shape to alton. I will give out in that much like on the so when it comes to see i think the aspects of our that her character a lotta feel cooler can understand with. She moves them believable ways. Yeah she wasn't just doing one key staff no reason. Yeah and i think one of the last things up at least got my respectful. Made me look at different way. Is when she decided to go with out in the end of it all because i still felt had a nagging feeling of buckle mind should just be like fuck. It often teddy shooting protect frontally. And he was all the calls Also very late At the end of the season we have flashbacks specifically in regards to franklin and alton an alternate is encouraging franklin And is with him not seeing the national anthem So we have these moments I guess i'm not saying. I didn't know about the storytelling style. Because i feel like it was forcing us to feel away if you kind of felt if you kinda fell an affinity towards outon than this was going to completely tip your of. Rt is saying because you'll seeing him be that father and be a man of morals and what he stands full however everything that the family and the household has is in credit to franklin. Let's not have the debate about systemic and moral righteousness in regards to drug dealing. Because i refuse to do it. Because there's a whole class element to it. And i refused to do it. He full blocks. And eventually when we do. Not and gomorrah okay. I'm not having a morality discussion in regards to drug dealing or systemic one. Because i it's all interruption. Close hold a hole. Pull back and rewind me all right not lama with c. Altern clearly off who has a pass and the morals. He holds for what he fought for for what he tried to get. "This talks of gentrifying. The neighborhood right. You know that that old chestnut and sissy has an a mind that she's doing judo for work. Which i guess is is relative and we can come to that in a second but essentially frank. Glenn appeals to a bookstore which already seemed to have a relationship with seasons earlier. Which makes it even more hurtful and gross. But in any case he convinces them to be a part of their corporation so that they can keep their store early to you know at the back of their hand. Sell it thoughts. I think that's when i thought well that's why not saw franck clean as completely gone rogue on you didn't care for his justification saying at least at least you at least you got money instead of not getting anything but the family business. It was a simmering boil. One on the simmering boils that we've had that that came to realize in season for was the relationship and the fragmenting of the relationship between franklin and his father. Alton there is a lot to say about them too. And i'm not sure how you want to tackle it. But outside his fucking shit is he is okay all right. Hold on earth team my concrete cowboy. Let's get into this. We make outon. Or we have periphery of outon in the snow full series as being the alcoholic father that stepped out on sissy and franklin. I rest my case here on. Avoid so we. I think we're going to see that kind of come up as a battle and i actually. I would be surprised. If in the end there wasn't some way to have Blockchain side feature privacy prominently because in a way. I can't imagine the technology really taking off in all the ways that it could take off if there wasn't such a feature and you even see that like in a forthcoming episode. I have unconfirmed. It's a panel discussion but there is somebody from the federal reserve who talks about building systems for central bank digital currencies. Who says you know flat out like you can't design these systems unless you have privacy you as a consideration from the beginning he said it cannot be an afterthought and and he's talking about for central bank digital currency so. I really do think that you'd at least some of these vaccines will have to feature it prominently and i. I don't think that we're going to end up with blockchain set it at all. I would be surprised on a long enough time scale. I do think in the in the beginning. There might be a bit of a battle. But i think after we got real adoption then i would be very surprised if we don't start to see more privacy

California Firefighters Battle Nearly 2 Dozen Major Wildfires

"Wildfires have now burned more than four million acres this year, and Sarah Husseini OFC reports that's more than double the previous record for an entire year. More than 16,000. Firefighters are still battling nearly two dozen major blazes throughout the state with a couple months of fall fire season still ahead. In Northern California is wine country More than 52,000 people have been evacuated as a result of the glass fire. Among them are the Henson's who have set up a borrowed RV for themselves and their three dogs outside an evacuation center in Santa Rosa. We've been evacuated three out of four years, Jessica Hansen says. This time they had no warning. She says she realised the worst was coming. When she walked out of her house on the seven acres atop the mountain. They call home and saw fire climbing from both sides as soon as we got to the top of our driveway We knew we were going to her house. But abandoning the land her family has lived on for generations is unthinkable. Henson says she's already focused on rebuilding despite not having any homeowner's insurance. Husband, Alton Henson says they'll have to rely on the federal Emergency Management Agency and groups like the Red Cross. All right now we're registered with FEMA and all then and apparently they're supposed to give us Temporary housing or they'll put trailers on our property until we re building. We're just waiting for that, but they can't do nothing in tow were considered disaster. Last week, Governor Gavin Newsom asked the Trump administration to declare the latest blazes, including the glass fire, a major disaster. Meanwhile, the weather is starting to cooperate with weary fire crews in the form of calmer winds, cooler temperatures and clear skies over the weekend, which allowed aircraft to fly over the steep and rugged terrain and make some big gains. Cal Fire spokesman Erikmenendez his office in ST Halina is located not far from where the blaze began. I can tell you that, looking out my window for the past week. I haven't seen the beautiful mountains that were known for, so it's very refreshing to see the mountains again. At a community briefing Sunday, Cal Fire incident chief Sean Norman was cautiously optimistic. We're feeling good about her lines were not done with this fire, yet it's been a stubborn fire. We don't consider the fire contained or controlled. It'll be weeks before we get to that benchmark. But that does not mean that we feel an imminent threat to any specific community Officials say they're hand picking local firefighters or those with previous experience in problem areas to help keep it that way. For NPR News. I'm Sarah Husseini in Santa Rosa, California.

A Turning Point: Race Relations In Sports

"It has now been more than four weeks in George. Floyd was murdered nearly a month since we all watched him. Take his last breaths. It feels like so much is different, but real actionable change that takes time. Many who took to the streets in protests have now resumed their daily lives, so now seems appropriate to discuss how sport will handle affairs moving forward. As North American teams and Leagues Continue Their Return to play processes. It is vital that the conversations and promises made when the racial issue was hottest that they do not go away. In a few moments, we will welcome in our panel to discuss how that should happen, but first a look at how we got here in the first place. He will have color have been argued about beliefs, and that's not right. That's not right by any was standards. The point he was making gut twisted from the start. The beginning when Colin Kaepernick I made is public protests peacefully heap I sat on the bench during the national anthem to bring awareness. There's a lot of things that need to change once one specifically police brutality. There's people being murdered unjustly and not being held accountable. It was the summer of two thousand sixteen, when he bursts truly used his platform as an NFL quarterback to speak out against systemic racism by police in the weeks leading into that preseason payment. San Francisco capper Nick had watched. We all had. To white officers pinning down Alton Sterling. And pumping. into his chest and back. He saw the traffic stop in Minnesota when Philander Casteel was killed in front of his girlfriend in charge. And captured it could not understand how mental health therapist Charles Kinsey could be shot by police when he was lying on the ground with his arms up in the air, people of color have been targeted by police. Cops are getting paid leave. For killing people. That's not right. That's not right by anyone's standards. And yet from the beginning law in. pre-game gesture was misrepresented and downright manipulated. The Christ came that he was disrespecting the flag that it was a slap in the face to military personnel. But when active soldiers pointed out, they serve to provide their citizens with the freedom of speech that capture nick was exercising. That narrative quickly was quashed when army veterans who had been in battle, echoed that very sentiment out of national football league buildings team needs I would be disappointed if any of our players didn't stand up for the national anthem personally. I, look at that as a salute to the people who have paved the way for us. Our Organization believes that. You should. Respect the flag and so you'll save those individual decisions to expression show. On individual form. And that became the prevalent message. Don't do it here. Stick to sports. The underlying tone. How dare you protest without our approval we're. Do you get off? Colin Kaepernick criticizing anyone in another uniform. Right the men and women lead for this, I- scenic. First hand. For. Somebody do that to get paid millions of dollars. It's ridiculous. Cabinet remained undeterred. United States Army Bet. Nate! Boyer who did tours of duty in Iraq, and Afghanistan encouraged him to kneel and not sit. By, taking a knee voyeur told him you show your respect for fallen brothers that way. So capture nick did. And then more NFL players followed. And yet the public and political conversation in the US would not steer toward police brutality. No matter how much star athletes peacefully attempted to. And the leader in America's biggest chair. Amy Shirley Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners? When somebody disrespects our flag to say, get that son of a job appealed right now out each fire. I! Capture Nick became a source of division for standing up against injustice. He hasn't taken a snap since that twenty sixteen season. And at this year Super Bowl USA. Today's jared bell minced no words on why that is I. Think it's pretty obvious. He's been blackballed for Colin Kaepernick not to have a job is just. It's the worst look for the NFL. No conversation was more dominant inside NFL. Locker rooms that season than the Kapernick one teams are made up of players of all ages of all backgrounds of so many ethnicities. If you actually want to listen to different perspectives. If you're an athlete who would want to hear what your peers had to say, there would be no shortage of takes to soak in. But fundamentally the want would be to understand capper knicks fundamental point. After George Floyd one of the League's biggest stars reminded us that many still didn't I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country. Maybe that was the crossroads moment because the reaction to. It felt like something had changed almost as. That won't cut. It anymore drew. brees in the rest of the NFL were told right away, the new. Orleans quarterback came under fire. The players in the league had just about enough of the establishment silence. They had captured message. They were not gonNA. Let owners and Roger Goodell get away with it this time. Would have other Jewish Knowledge George if I was. I was George Void. Jewish. And say hi in. Regard. To me right. Breezes all pro receiver found Dallas's bruising runner and Houston's electrifying quarterback, and Kansas City Super Bowl Mvp. And Obi. And they all let you know. We. Condemn Racism and assistant. Matic oppression of black people. National League, admit wrong and silence our players from protesting. Also. Black lives matter black lives matter. Like loves. To Have Patrick Mahomes the next superstar the NFL. Front and center. That was massive. And the very next night the commissioner uttered the words you never imagined would happen. We the National Football League Immune. We were wrong for not listening NFL players earlier. And encourage all speak out in peacefully protests. Read the National Football League believe black lives matter. Progress. Probably a step forward. You want to believe so. The day after the commissioner changed his tune, breeze went to social media again. He'd already made his hollow apologies without actually saying sorry, and he finally seemed to be listening to what some teammates had to say, and after all of that even drew brees somewhat stood up to the president. It won't Change Donald Trump of course, but maybe it will make others think. Perhaps it will create more uncomfortable conversations to allow for a greater understanding among all of us. And at the very least it has given others throughout sport. To have the freedom to finally say their piece open believing they may at last be heard. Or country is in, trouble. Basic reason is race. You're seeing an example of future. That's fighting for you for you. Right now a fine for you got a grandfather that march legs. Dr King in the sixties. And he was amazing. You'll be proud to see us all. Got Pushing? Forward Doing Casey marched with his family. Members of Detroit's organization. An NBA coach using his voice. Over in Jacksonville Jaguars personnel were among the demonstrators. North Philly's finest. He walked. Kyle Lowery's we can. Priorities were set. This though. This is just the start. To silence of countless elites spoken loud. Until you see action from an, don't forget by the leaks themselves. We wonder what the real commitment to progress actually is. What capper protests was about from. The beginning can no longer be debated. And it is now crystal clear to all of us that no athlete should just shut up and dribble. Nelson Mandela famously said. Sport has the power to change the world. Since George, Floyd perhaps we have learned that change can come more from our sporting icons using their voice platform in pursuit for justice than any jumper were swing. Or goal or touched them. Stick to sports. Sure let's stick to sports bettering the world in a new way. Let's start hearing the real message now. And most of all, let's not get the words and actions like Hafer. Knicks twisted. When he tried to begin the real conversation. Before US AGO!

It is not the first time for us. we had to have what's known in the black culture as the talk. Many of times I'll never forget. There was a time. Earlier House. We had a park right behind us, and they wanted to go to the park. This was all say you know I kind of put them in. Errors was right around the time of Landau, Casteel and Alton Sterling and I was it was really wrong with me. My third son was just born and. You know I had many moments where I was holding him getting him. And crying as I did so, because I, while loved this little bundle of joy, immensely also just the amount of fears and worries of what I just brought into the world again with another black Sun, and the burdens that I have to carry that again, and so it was really raw for me around that time and I just remember them asking go to the park and the laundry list of what I had to tell them. Don't wear your hood. Don't put your hands in your pocket. If you get stopped, don't run. Put Your hands up. Don't make a lot of moves. Tell them your mother works for NPA I mean it just went on and on? There's IT's funny. They're stages as they start to get older one. It's the you just don't even want them to draw attention to themselves enough. For someone to call on them or get stopped then there's the stages of what you do. If you do get caught and then more recently, I remember. I had them watch. We all watch a family together Eva d'auvergne as when they see us. And it was really really hard for them to go through, and they were really torn because they were these were young kids. That was a central. Park five and they were Young kids themselves in there. Watching this and that was the first time that it changed to a new iteration of the talk and that talk was. What do you do once? You're inside those walls. Don't ever sign a confession. Don't ever let them tell you that. Your mom told you it's okay. Don't ever do this at and I was just like. Oh, my Gosh! It doesn't stop with this and so this time around. It has been more about. I will be honest This time around. It's more about what's not fair. And just be you know this just isn't fair? You guys, but this is the the world is. This is the way America is right now. It's the way it's been for a long time and I can't lie to you I. Don't think it's going to change in your lifetime, and it's just not fair. It's not fair for us to have to live like this. I, imagine. that it probably gets emotionally taxing for you. To keep having these conversations with your boys when stories like George Floyd up seems like every few weeks or months now What is your emotional state? Having to give this talk again and again and again. Yeah! You know it's I gotta be honest about it. The more happens the hardest to say optimistic about it. And I mean we have an example right here within the span of one month of two different incidences that we've had to talk to them through, and I will tell you with the Ahmad Aubrey. Shooting there was a sorrow. Honestly because we're in the in the middle pandemic, most of us were still in his shelter in place then and even pandemic, even when someone's home, even when everything when American world should be still and yet still killing black unarmed black men in the streets. That's the one thing we can still seem to count on for America and that hit me like a ton of bricks. And that hurt my heart that that was the truth of where racism is is in this country, but even when everything stopped, that's the one thing that continue dishes what it is and so that conversation with them that talk with there were a lot of tears. There were a lot of a lot of helplessness I. Don't know what to do anymore. You guys I don't know how to save you I. Don't know how to keep you safe. I don't know. You know my husband and I certainly have been sure to provide. Even you know wherever we did. Start a very good life for them more than what we had and make sure that we live places where we felt safe as a family where they were in the best school districts where they could you know I always looked at very diverse neighborhoods as well because that it was important to me. But. There was. There started to be fought for the first time of I. Did everything to make sure that we weren't in crime ridden areas. And that we were in safe neighborhoods, and that they did get the best and. Still. I fear for them walking down the street. Still. Did I do even more of a disservice by being the only black family on this street. Do we have to do more work by making sure that everyone knows us? And everyone knows our heart in who we are and be friends with everyone, and even if that is that enough, because you don't know if someone's mother-in-law visits, and and does it no, you and wonder why my kids are riding their bike, or if someone wanders over from another street and questions us, it's it's. It's one of those places where I you know my talk with my kids at that point is. I it was a bit like I. said I'm hopeless. I! Just don't know what to do anymore I just

Bitcoins Weekly Chart The Worst

"Back to the markets yes bitcoin. It has closed and we did close down five. Point one one percent we closed at a level Thousand six hundred and seven and we do look bearish right now. The market is coming off further already down nearly one percent in less than one minutes on Bitcoin. Rod that we definitely have a bit more downtrend implying. Now we've got to low high low along we could definitely say data pullback but he's big but is this something. We should be concerned about the answer for that in my view. Really's is not really is not and here's the reason why look we hadn't seen a decent pullback for what one two three four five six seven eight nine weeks wait just gone was the tenth wicket. Nice ten weeks. There was only one candidate. Showed any pullback and there's only down two percent so there was an awful lot an awful lot there whereby we just didn't say pullback. We didn't get that pullback momentum. Nothing actually happened. Now it's changed. Things have changed. We have seen that pullback. We have seen the having vent kit. I forget that the having event wasn't last week it was the week before. It's been very racist. It's not been a long time ago. And I forget that is very very race and so there is reason to believe that we might see a little bit of pullback and if you recall may going through it recently talking to you guys about You know what had happened during those pullbacks in the During the in the past you know we do have the option were can be a little bit messy full a little while we seem to be getting a bit of that was good trends loss way absolutely those great trades one of the best Us A shout outs. I believe could be. It could be ever from entry point on Tech's tether to where it is right now. Ninety six percent up now once up one hundred and forty percent under the instead of entering your stop but two point five percent. You're looking at about a fifty to one there. A massive massive massive moves so some humongous moves Was One of them. One of the ones managed to capture was Komodo their big profits to be had there as well. And I'm saying that my checklist watch moving away from the perpetual contracts at the mine because they are a bit messy. That's what it's been going back to the good old. Bitcoin trading against Bitcoin has been really has been. Where the Actions Bane I? It's it's been where that some with the momentum bannon the opportunity has been sitting of. You've got some NAS Transat. They wrought now going to be continuing to keep a very close eye on those. Let me come back to the top ten. Never for this puppy up in a way. We still want to talk to the wake leads because I want. I want to give you the perspective that I think is important for the week to come. We saw bitcoin down lost weight ten percent pretty much on the noise. We closed down at eight thousand seven hundred seven onto a theorem now e closed down loss. Only three point seven seven percent guys. Say BITCOIN's really struggling to get above ten thousand markets. It's being kept bought but it's not worrying too many of the other markets of a gun to exile pay now four point full six percent loss weight again. Nothing huge nothing out of control. Bitcoin cash it had a pretty decent down. Wake seven point six to eight percent but a again. Bitcoin was still the lodge of the sell offs between us. They was down three percent. That's for the whole week again. Many put on a lot of guys against Bitcoin. Lot going down three point seven six percent better return than bitcoin was down as well but it was only down five percent. Half of what Bitcoin was. Bonnets bonnets was down. It was down two point two percent cod Donna. Donna did it closed flat. Would down point one ovalles percent another market that was has been performing a heck of a lot better than Bitcoin of light? Assyrian classic as a matter if I had a massive rejection Kennel down one point. Three seven percent that remember become was down ten notre now it was down five point fos. There's nothing out there right now. That's performing across. The top. Ten is bad as well. Bitcoin is performing now because Bitcoin is being sitting rather saw for a while. Now now has started to fall a little bit better as you know the lot of yesterday's session being down five percent. It's everything about charity on the Alton. If you go ahead and have a look through my scan this morning with members and in March shots my now created heavily Out of bitcoin pairings are go through and scan the scan. The Alz Against Bay tastes saying what you'll see is that there are some opportunity starting pop up. It's very very good moves at the theater. Had a fantastic. Ron has been some big moves. Jet Tila: Thai Food in America

"How do you describe the explosion of Thai Food in America and in Los Angeles? You know I think you have to trace it back to Vietnam right. Most major campaigns were flown out of Thailand right because of the Golden Triangle because our our relationship Thailand is his never been occupied or controlled by a foreign power was allies with the US so they gave Thai people visas so nineteen sixty six. The first group of Thai people came in in mass. My parents were in that group. So there's the beginning second. There's always been this romance of of this this American Romance Thailand. It's exotic that people are nights. It's so beautiful I mean and there's also the the really not so nice side of that the sexual tourism and all that but no matter what right. There's there's this halo effect. I think Thailand has on on Americans and then when we started the food all these flavor the flavor range European food is like herbs and salt and pepper and olive oil and garlic and Mir Poi and all of a sudden I got hot and sour and salty and sweet. It's so exotic. Yeah one of the things. I remember from the book though I thought was funny. Was that at first. Thai food is marketed as like a better tasting Chinese for exactly. Yeah and and it's because you know Cantonese foods little sweeter and richer or whatever and they wanted brighter flavors. Yeah but yeah like. What did people know about Thai food? And how much of that did you guys teach them? I would say pad Thai chicken Satay Dome Yum dum car guy. It was Thai food. Then you even chow main because you gotTa Games order start because again Americans new Cantonese style Chinese food for years. This was just like a departure and the image you get you know what I mean. It's like each gradually acclimate and learn. And then you start to get curious and Thailand is always has always been really aggressive about tourism right getting people to visit right right named ty culinary ambassador. How did that happen? By the way the truth. You guys want the truth right of course Jones version of very sort. Which is the the brutal truth right? You know the consul general in myself Three CONSUL-GENERALS AGO. Right because the post transitions every few years. You know we had a lot of Thai chef. That was were starting to become notable in America. We Ricker. You've got guys in Chicago then. There's so. There's a lot of mixed messages about Thai food. What is Thai food? Who SPEAKS FOR THAI food? We we sat down a room and we're like we need a position that that basically allows the government to say this person plants. The holds the torch for Thai food. So we need a culinary ambassador right. We need the guy and we need to create a fund marketing term for it. So I was like Dude. GimMe the ambassadorship. It sounds awesome. Any says a great idea. So you know we we have a we have a few program. Thais elect which is a government program that acknowledges Thai restaurants that are that are doing very well or or you know are good at certain things we have trade shows around the country around the world. Can you speak for Thai food because we also wanted someone that was in media? That was recognizable right. I was the only one at that time doing a lot of television. And so as part of your ambassador ship you're going around to different tire restaurants in really out into the field hundred percent and when I'm on television. Which is the best way to go anywhere right when Elton Brown says this? Is You know on our new shows Culinary Ambassador of Thailand like that sinks in but I just have to ask this on same. Whose idea was it to get matching tattoos and tattoos or have to my right forearm. That's is never be daunted. So Alton Brown and I did a bunch of episodes of a show called cutthroat kitchen together and over those episodes in hundreds and hundreds of hours in months and years we became very close. Friends like very very close friends. We were just sitting around one day. And he's like I haven't gotten a tattoo. I get attached to every decade. He said let's get together. Let's get hammered. Let's do it. Let's do it. So it really is a symbol of our friendship. And it's never be daunted as hemingway quote and the way that came to be was. We're sitting around the trailer I'm like okay. Let's let's get imagine to. Who's going to pick what it is? I am not A. I'm not a cerebral scholarly. Guy Like Elton. I'm like if I win this. Whatever we're going to get an octopus chef with eight utensils one each arm. Thank God he won. Thank God you want so you can actually watch the video of you. Google jetty loud. We actually wanted to put it out on social media. While we're getting Tattoos Watch we livestream did and it and it existed lives in the world now so there was this moment where like Thai food was cool and there was this moment where like no one knew anything about it. Yeah what was it like for that thing that you grew up with like all of a sudden be cool. Yeah I'm trying to think back through those years. Try to kind of like articulate. What was the tipping point? It had this phenomenally fast. Rise to UBIQUITY. Do you know what I mean. And it had to be between the eighties. Probably the nineties. Wow 'cause town was founded in two thousand right and I would say we were already firmly ubiquitous. Yeah that was the recognition right so I would say between the eighties and nineties for some reason. Thai food became
