"He said to the room that night just a few just to give you a sense turn to President Bush, President Bush. You don't have to put up with this crap anymore. Why are you here? Then he starts going around the room settling old scores. Senator Bennett Johnston was in the room. He had voted against the president's budget in nineteen ninety four and he was now named the president of the alpha alpha club. So he said this to him. I'm glad Bennett Johnson is Al alfalfa president. Now, maybe I'll get to vote against his budget. And at one point he turned to Senator Pete Domenici. And I can't explain this other than just to read the word on the page. He'd said turn to Senator Pete Domenici and says, do you die your hair? No one in the room knew what to make of that. What some point during the speech visually? I was hoping to hear the jokes that I was familiar with and knew that would help them get to the speech, but as speech, really. Digressed? I started hoping he wouldn't say the jokes are on the page. Now, it's so bad. It was every man from self. And a few terrible jokes later. He finished his speech and before he sat back down as he's dying up there. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out an egg timer. And he says maybe this'll help and it did he got his only real genuine laugh of the night the room was so anxious to respond to something positive that he had said it was like a lifesaver. They were throwing him life preserver. Then after he used the timer. Set back down terrible speech was over and evening was over. And he left in a hurry. And I left at through another exit. The hurry. I knew he didn't wanna see me. And I wasn't particularly interested in seeing him next morning. I'm up I trained back to New York like seven o'clock in the morning felt like a prison break getting out of Washington DC. And I come back to New York to my life years or freelance writer in the greatest city in the world, very pleased to have escaped that night. And and really I thought it was the last speech I would ever write for him. I couldn't imagine that would ever find myself back in a room with him Monday morning and went to go get the Washington Post, and in the style section, which is the sports pages of kind of inch Mira Washington politics. There was a front page story about terrible ill-humored humor speech the president given that night. And it was the buckle in this article, it just people in the in the article said did he know it was a humor speech, they couldn't figure out in the White House? Of course, the drill becomes who's to blame. And thankfully, I was exonerated by transcript that show that the words I'd written in the words, he has spoken really didn't correspondent all. And you know, I was upset that he had missed a second opportunity in a week. To have a good speech and to have shining moment, and I regretted that and maybe he did too because on Thursday. I went to go pick up my tuxedo at the dry cleaner that had been soaked and sweat. Got back to get my mail and found a note in my mail from the White House, and I opened it up. And it was a note from the president night states address to me, dear Mark. Thank you for your help with the foul for dinner. Your funny man, the egg timer was great best Bill Clinton. Mark hats managed to keep his job to the full eight years of the Clinton presidency. Thanks in part to the transcript of the actual speech Clinton gave that night to see a picture of the infamous egg timer. The thank you note from the president. And to learn more about Mark. "Mark told the story back in two thousand one at the once-legendary, but now gone nails in New York City. The theme of the evening was carpet stories on this vital moments. Here's Mark cats live at the Mark. It's January of nineteen ninety-five. I'm in a Washington DC on Saturday night. I'm in a holding room in a hotel wearing tuxedo in my left hand is a draft of the speech. I've written in my right hand is an egg timer. I'm doing deep breathing exercises. Because I know at any moment to that door will walk the president of the United States. I only have twelve minutes. I can't explain to you. How I came to write humorous speeches Bill Clinton over the course of his two terms in office. But I can't tell you that. This was a particularly bad time to be doing it. Just a few months earlier he'd received a severe rebuke of the nine hundred ninety four midterm elections. Newt Gingrich the hundred and fifth congress the contract with America. And he at that moment, he seemed like a guy halfway through a failed term, and they knew that in one thousand nine hundred five had to be a good year for him or ninety six would be as last and they set out a plan to kind of get back on track. And part of that plan included the state of the union address early ninety five and they'd put together such an ambitious state of the union address. So chock full of agenda-setting mantle stealing back ideas that it set a record for time. He gave a speech that night that was one hour and six minutes long and the next day in the news all the pundits. And all the Washington. Press corps could talk about all they could talk about was how long it speech was forgetting about what he had said. And everyone. At the White House was very upset about that. They had missed yet another opportunity everyone. But me because I was there that week writing a humor speech for him every year, he gives four humor speech, you may have heard of the White House correspondents dinner, the gridiron dinner. This is one I promise you haven't heard of it's called the alpha alpha club. Three hundred very important. Washington insiders all there to hear humor speech from the president and really to take his measure, and I got to the White House Friday morning and realized this was a great moment that all of a sudden this speech had a reason to be relevant in a way that it didn't the day before. And I wanted to make this speech. The comic answer to the crisis is your how the he could come back with a comic retort to these silly accusations had given a speech too long was too long and the answer was simple enough everyday egg timer. And the whole idea was that the president would walk up to the podium in this hotel room where he's about to give a speech set his egg timer. To five minutes. And place it on the corner of the podium. Unleashing a room full of laughter and applause at someone who's doing self directed humor at his own expense. And I was actually very secretly pleased with the idea and the many pages of jokes. I'd written about a guy about to give a speech on the heels of the speech. He'd had given that was far too long. Until the next day. When I was in this holding room waiting for the president with the egg tarmac in one hand and speech, and the other, and I could tell from the moment he walked in that something was terribly amiss. He was not happy to be there. I said Hello. Hello was president just a grim? Look. Moment later. The first lady comes into the room. Didn't even get the grim. Look, she never made contact with me she stayed by the door is oh she thought herself invisible. It just waiting for whatever this meeting was to be over. And the first words the president said to me that night. Was you can put that egg-timer away. Now, I wanted to make sure that I understood him. So I said no egg timer. And he said that's a joke on my state of the union address. Isn't it? And I said, yes, it is. And he said, well, there's no way I'm good at what those unpleasant people. Have the satisfaction of that joke. There's no way I'm doing it. That's exactly why you have to do it. Because these people have been making fun of you for two days, all of a sudden, the free floating anger that he brought into this room is now directed at me. And I'm looking up with the big mean angry president. And the tone of my voice was just urging ZOA was talking about something of moral imperative global importance and actually surprised me the tone of my voice, and I think it surprised him. And I went about trying to explain to him something that was self evident to me that had alluded him. Why the self directed joke was the answer to this particular problem. Well, his response to my argument was a very strong non verbal response. He reached down and relieved me of my time. He took it forcibly from my hands and placed it on the mantle a few feet away. He will turn back to me. And he says give you the full measure of his glory says what else? Well, you know, what there really wasn't that much? What else? The egg timer was the organizing principle of the speech. And more than that taken on such importance to me that I struggled to explain to other people to me the egg timer was was hubris itself. It was what he needed. It was the compass back from the road, the missteps he had taken and that he needed to be the biggest person in that room that night and have that joke at his expense. And I guess it's because I felt so strongly about this egg tire of all things that I did the bravest thing I've ever done in my life. I reached for this egg. Roy.

"We have two top ten hits the states and lots of steam. So they knew that and they wanted to kind of book this this match for me to win the title, which I think was a good a good idea because it shows that you know is not just here one and done here wanted done. And of course there's going to be another match if not another two or three matches. And we have all of that kind of cigarette out and it was figured out from all that I signed this deal with them. So that's, you know, Jim very much like the element of surprise and don't really like Lenny. Anybody. Except for I will. I signed a deal with Japan for two thousand eighteen, so there's matches included in that. We kind of have it all figured out worked out. So yeah, I didn't just win the title disappear back and. Back a few more time for sure. You mentioned Barack, does he have the greatest deal that one of the boys ever had ever? It's one of those things, Jim. It's like, I think a lot of people have animosity towards him because of that. I don't guy. Well, I would like to have that deal and you know, I'm not so sure that I won't get a deal like that at some point, at least in new Japan I did. So I think you know, remember years ago, somebody said you can't blame HOGAN, HOGAN huge deal with WW when he got a percentage of the pay per view, and it was making us money and like your home, you can't blame HOGAN. Forget. They can't blame frigging LeBron James for going LA for forty for two years blame the complaint blend. The owners blame the team. You know, blame the company, blamed vents. If you're gonna Blame blink. somebody. I or you can just do something about looking Mircea Mon condition own, improve my own deal anomaly, pissed somebody else's success. That's a waste of time, man. So waste time. For the boys, whoever they are with, you don't like him and they can make money because actual things for years that if you're looking at the NFL NBA NHL w eat, you know, salary caps who's making the least about money, percentage wise out of all, it's always if you guys, right? So anybody that makes really, really good money in the wrestling business. I never animosity towards them because if they make money, that's that I can make more to you at some point -solutely knock you said the businesses very healthy. So this show and I believe it. I mean it that there's never been a better time to be a wrestling fan because there's so much accessibility to information in front of and behind the camera. If that's your thing, the talents are are diverse. They're being able to be more creative and work in their own style working what they're doing and all in the same goal of making the fans happy, and we don't fans have you man. We're just, we just, you know, in a screw screw. You're not gonna have a job. No, no. Hey. Hey, we're code Mitch and listener. Guess Brock's going to have this match with either summer slam may have been match. I don't know there. Well, I guess you drop the title there because it's going to Dan Chroma in January or February whenever it's going to be, I think January, but. I know this pretty well and. No guarantee less drama Tyler summer slam. If everybody thinks is is lead pipe cinch. Another big, arch much those off speed pitchers sometimes. Right. That's good booking. "I don't dislike, referees, you know, I don't dislike red shoes for God's sakes. Are you kidding me? We don't eat the same language. How the hell would I not like the guy can communicate with stupid, but the issue is from a psychological standpoint, those are distractions that at a talent you don't want you don't want us a healed, had the referee have more Ethan you. No, and also to kind of used the referees constantly. That's one of the reasons why. If you notice the Jericho, alpha versa, mega Jericho mega was a not to match because it didn't want to have to worry about their in the respiratory in blood feuds fights. Many tonight match. You know, the finish gave him a Buell kick to to the to the balls and give him a code breaker, but he went for Dino. Behind him, but what do I do? I can't remember. I pushed on pushing into the rapper something the rest conned around. So when I give the new threat shit, it's just a small thing, but it's how it's how I was trained. It's how I learned. You can't sheet in front of the referee. That's just it just doesn't work and watching Japan. There's so much of that. And I think this one of the reasons why the to match that had this dot over very well, you'll never see me ever take the referee for granted like that. Used the rest and funding the one thing Japan that that needs to be toned down because it's just too much white, have a Aref story, you know, a no ref Kennex Chris's counter for from the standpoint of what we both agree that they sports oriented presentation in reality based force presentation. And I know that from my marching orders from excess TV. You know, Josh Vernet Narcan matches. And I know that some fans of that brand and I understand I don't have any problem with. They'd rather hear Kevin Kelly and Don callous through those those matches possessor guys. They're used to it. They their big users of new Japan world. No problem. Hey, cool. There's a different presentation men. It's everybody's rock and roll sound the same. So that's where I am on that deal. I don't care. So on this thinking that the reality aspect of what they're doing in the premise foundation that they built that whole country's wrestling on is kind of spit in the face when you just abuse referee, there's no, and then they got out reading somewhere. There's a, they're having. They're having a lot of de cues, g one. So you've got this athletic presentation of tournament. It's in in in in his prison tents, and you are having these indiscriminate de cues. I don't know what the Dan rules are. I don't. Have any idea what the rules are. I don't think that I know this. There's a twenty count outside. That's what I know because they don't use any rules and all of a sudden, there's the q. way. What happened. So I, I'm with you little bit too much of that. But boy, I love calmer matches and is a lot of fun without without a doubt. So are you do you think you'll be you'll have a chance to get back in the hunt for a nother shot in wrestle kingdom. The Brock listener of new Japan, Thailand disappear for three months or whatever it is. But I mean, I had, you know, a lot of fuzzy tours books at five thirty very successful right now..

"Off the hook earnings, crazy ass character make it more of a hard hitting all, make it a short match. It still doing seventeen minutes, but my idea was doing maybe ten or so we put together this really hard hitting, I'll say stiff, but in a good way is not dangerous file. It doesn't even that you're gonna get hurt. Just said it's a hard hitting style, and that's what I wanted to do for that match to make it stones out from these other two matches. And you know, I it did. It really did send because you didn't see a match like that elsewhere on the show by design. And then I spoke to Japan book. As I said, you know, please have anybody else fight in the house for the match doughnut shots, whatever. 'cause Japan, sometimes they don't do that. Everybody will just do everything by the time it gets these important parts of the match. It's already seen. So I mean, sure to do that as well and what it was all said and done. I think we had a really good match. It was a nice nice preview to the main of which of course was all time classic. But I think Jerker NATO Hel held its own as well. No, no, no. I love calling me with Josh Barnett for access TV and and look forward to. We're going to start this week. I'm in LA to do JI won matches so right, getting side about that. It's always gonna call, real good, solid, hard hitting wrestling the as you question, what do you think it says a thirty year, Ghana business, lifelong fan, highly successful headline. Wrestlemanias all that good stuff. What is the difference in the present work entering build a mill presentation, the new Japan has that seemingly or at least in their mind, their fans, the no one else does. Well, I mean, I think. On the, I think just the whole atmosphere of Japanese wrestling is treated as more of an actual athletic contests of an actual sport of of an football game where there's guys and kinda bad guys. People just share really wanted cheer for lake. You know, if you and I went to the Super Bowl, you cheer for whatever team you win. And I would do I watch when it's not like there's a baby face team, he'll team. So I think as a result of that, people take it more seriously which reflects back onto the guys take a little more seriously and not that guys take it seriously anywhere else. There's just there's a, there's a certain vibe, but rest of Japan and everyone I was I, you know, I just wanted to go to Japan 'cause I loved, you know, black tiger and grow while Pegasus Kris van want ligers and drag it and all these guys that were just it just seemed like just going there just just walking through the door in Japanese Rena just was more real more serious. And I think that translates to this day. Their bookings. Very simple. There is there's a lot of, you know, long-term stories or you know, this guy is in love with this guy's friends, the sky forever stole guys belt or whatever. It's more just the papers tag match, Niger's the champion Jericho, beats NATO. Then he gets a title match, and that's all you need. So if really much more of a sports based, I dear then is kind of sports entertainment idea. Of course, there's elements out that is still pro wrestling to listens pro wrestling through, and you know, Gaito attack team caters to the big talker. Japan now have this stuff is based on the meccas russet cause us a huge fan that used to be meant mental spots all the time and Japan that work because people never seen them there before. So I think that's the biggest thing is there's a certain vibe about Japanese wrestling and it's a lot simpler. And it also lets the guy's a little bit more creative as far as the finish is coming up with and the work of doing in the ring. So I think all of those things kind of give you a little bit more. Of a different feeling wrestler, Japan and do work here states the only they negatives I have and they're not very many. The officiating is raped and abused and it takes away from the heat from the towns because this is a strike Shen. Why don't you like the referees?.

"Once again, you know, I think we spoke with this before I did offer this to to deputy at first. I my vision I was within t- pretty much knowing that they would probably say no, because you know, this is gonna. Do cruise, doesn't need Chris Jericho to cruise. They'll do it himself, but I wanted to do do diligence to give them the offer Kirsty which I did. And then when it came back, decided to go for it in front of honored agreed ten minutes later. So yes, it is good for the entire business as a whole. And also something else I wanna point out that we talked before as well as every activity on this shit is all inclusive from every match. Discuss all the wives podcasting show you. And I think you guys doing alive podcasts, but you're showing will keep it at one hundred versus chill in the town, which if you're blast, you know, we've got paranormal guys on live comedy, Craig gas, impractical jokers. Run funches, Brad, Garret, you know, all of these people are coming on board and any picture that you take meet and greet signing, whatever they, it's, it doesn't cost you anything once your is your cabin. So I think people still aren't quite understand or realize it to get on. If you go to, you know, wrestle Khan and you want go be Jim Ross, any pay fifty bucks for ticket and then you'll pay fifty bucks a picture here in the Simar, whatever it may be. There's none of that on for. This truth to so. And lastly, it's a cruise, it's a crucial. There's nowhere to go. So all of us are going to be out and about with all the fans, which should be quite an adventure, but you have a chance to actually even hang out with some of the guys kiss Kerr's. I was in the casino every night after that just hanging out where was around just now Chris Jericho for well. So I think it's a really cool interactive experience, which is what people really want nowadays is the experience and the moment that having that that wasn't wanted her action. And we've got a cruise ship full of people that'll be there to do just that. Chris Jericho, cruise dot com. Folks this check out the website. See all the talents are going to be there. I mentioned to you soft over twenty seven thirty one Miami to Nassau. It's going to be great. It's gonna be a lot of fun. No doubt about that. A lot of wrestling just want to see wrestling. There's your bought to meet and greet podcast like all over together. Nothing like this has ever been done. So when Chris can say honestly, as a marketer and promoter first time ever is damn sure the first time ever. So I just, you know, I had the opportunity to have badly. I have much believe in this how badly I wanted to go. When you first the opportunity for me to be there. I knew that I had to weigh that against, oh, you football game. Yeah, I'm missing Oklahoma football that weekend so I can be with my people so to speak. And I and I'm have me remorse. I have no buyer's remorse on very, very excited about it. So Chris Jericho, cruise dot com folks and we'll talk more about that momentary. What's your? What's? What's the new Japan? You're the intercontinental champion right. I call them mash avoid. He beat you guys beat the hell out of unite. Oh I it was mid south wrestling baby. It was strong stuff. Appreciate this Jim. So I'm looking at this card and the advantage Kenya bega versus Okada sixty minutes draw the three to. They're going to go sixty minutes because it gone before they've got this amazing story, it's thirteen defenses. You're not gonna touch that matches for what they're doing then right before it I as we'll Osprey versus I think it was versus I believe. And you know, this is the charts from a high flying stand point. So what can I do with night kind of put in this position, difficult position maybe for anybody else, but not me because I've been around, I understand how this works. So let me do something completely different. I also been watching a lot of bruiser Brody stuff does we're at the thirty year anniversary of his of his death of his murder, and I said, you know what? I wanna do, but more this kind of..

"Doable for virtually any family or any group. I just think it's a great thing and I was looking at the talent just if you just identified WWE hall of fame, talents, miss somebody, you got the king of myself. Ricky steamboat, Pat. Patterson, Mick Foley, and DDP. Counted in a random and then the other talents. So the hottest wrestling talents in the world and a lot of my calm access TV with new Japan or own this card on this on this, this this cruise, the match signed that main event is that's booker's dream that can you imagine how many people in the Russian companies have that headline of pay per view? That's that's. That's your hook. As we say. We're gonna have a hook you mentioned earlier and there. That's a great hook, man, alpha. All right, good. And that'll actually came. 'cause I, I was thinking originally, I wasn't gonna rescue crews. I thought know I've got so much of the stuff and I don't wanna have to make that kind of the crutch. It then as we started moving forward is like, I really want to do something on this now and such a buzz like you mentioned. So I talked to the bucks just said, you know, let's see. We're going to do six band of me versus the box and Kenya Mehta, who would you want is my partners who can use through some ideas around actually, I think it was Mick Jackson said, why don't we keep up the bucks Jericho? Or is it white t Jackson and go again. You know, doing the canyon and Mardian Cody, and I thought that checked all the boxes because now it's the first time ever that the FOX and Jericho or team. It's the rematch the Turkey dome of Jericho versus candy which people waiting for. So there's a little bit of that is well, I that's ever wrestle already sterling huge. His Russell Tony roads, probably two thousand eight when he was just a, you know, a young boy rookie. So there's so many cool moving parts to this with the tagline that you said also versus bullet club, and also being able to use BV elite to build it up, which was even better. And that's, of course the bucks have their own YouTube show will be which has so many eyeballs on it. We're all Japan, soccer back at Jaren, and that's, that's the win. Signs is film always a little bit yet to fill build it up to kind of use that social media presence. To to to make it even more of a big deal and put more of a spotlight on it. So like I said, taking that as all these really popular elements of wrestling that are going on right now outside of of the world and really getting the benefits of it. So it was a really cool idea at a really great way to build it to announce it using all of these tools that are already in place the meet and greets the podcasts. The Cuny's are limitless, their endless. There's really the things every day all day night, though. On yards, it's going nonstop. I don't know if you can get enough of it. The more you're gonna, get a chance to get all you need. I got a buddy money says he talks about his his member. They said, well, it might not be what you want, but it's all you want. That keen on where that came from, but nonetheless, SEC license here. Westwood One. And I see where bus is going to cover it. They're coming. That's that's a big for you to because daily brick and all his guys. I mean, this is a, that's a big Indy right there that can help they do such a great job of promoting wrestling in general, the the things that I try to promote all kinds of a company's on this show because I want the Bill to be healthy. I think it's what you mentioned about vents. This can look at this big picture, say what these guys are doing with their entrepreneurial spirit. "Business healthier overall, and you're talking about brand building, and that's why decided to do a cruise, like, you know, I mean, okay, man. Like how the hell do do this. But I thought I think I could do it, and I really wanna really wanna make this an annual destination vacation, let the kiss crews were kissed, doesn't every year and people sign up. Cruise tunes done the cruise three such such a and I knew that it wouldn't be easy to do, and I knew that. A lot of people that can do it, but I figured what I think it'd make it happen and if I can, you know, I'm not expecting to make money on your one or even two or maybe not even three, but if I can make this an annual thing that's constantly moving and successful, that's just that it's the Christian brand Christiane because his own crews are you kidding me? Well, if they do and this is how we're gonna do it. So all of these things and all the stuff that we discussed all meticulously planned to make this venture this project, not just a one and done, but to continue the buzz so that it moves and grows year in year out. And that's kind of what my plan was from the start here we are three and a half months away from sailing even almost three months away, and I can't believe it so close now, and it's amazing. 'cause there's so much stuff that's going to happen on this cruise that I think as soon as we talk after, it's done the bus. Is going to be so huge where people doing. I wanna go again to redo it again, do it again. That's kind of the starting with what you want. The dates are opt over twenty seven thirty. Couple of special matches when you're working together to continue the buzz to put the spotlight from war on. You know, you sit at a Jericho crews in ring of honor zip back now. There's a spot what's talking about this, which they wouldn't be talking about either one of those companies in this scenario, if we weren't doing this and that's just an upper hand to you're doing business, you know, the devastating, maybe one person just never heard of ring of honor, tons of the crews allowed to know what it is really a brand is building your brand and unit. Both are big into brand building, whether it be me and my condiments the sauces and all that good stuff or or the book or whatever. It may be your books. All that said, we're Bill brands so we do, and but we're both amount for nearly enough and have the boss has obviously the financial wherewithal at this point, our lives to afford to do a little bit. You know, it's solid things, but I'm with you, man. If a wrestling company said, hey, I'd like Jerry, you got some money, you want. To invest from our company will give me your business plan. Well, the first thing, first priorities we're going to beat the WWE. I'm out. Say you you and your money, your both gonna be out to SUNY think, but why would that even be on the radar? Just me as good as you can be at how can I build my brand? And I promise you that the the, the companies that are going to be on your crews. This historic thing that hasn't happened in decades where you'd all this cooperation, all this massive stars, it'll, it'll never be. It can't be replicated except at sea right now. And if those guys are smart, when they get off that down vessel, they're going to say, we should do something along these lines again, but maybe Atta pay for maybe a bigger rain or whatever it is like the guys running the garden on wrestlemania weekend. That's ballsy deal man. And you know it couldn't have happened can years ago, fifteen years ago. I honestly think you know, I've been around thirty years. You've been even longer than that. I think I think the business now is healthier. Maybe not bigger, but healthier than it's ever been and that's exciting. You know, I even down inside even even Vince will say, okay, this is good. This is good for business because it just makes everybody work a little bit harder, gives harms boys, more options, fix the.

"How stressful has been to try to deal with any level of wrestling politics to get the ring of honor guys and the impact guys on the same page, new Japan guys, all different entities. Because it's a lot easier than I expected. I think a lot of it has is because I'm in Japan now. You know, once again, you know me, Jim always thinking and don't think that wasn't one of the is that I had one of the side of the side of the Japan. Yes, it was a big, nice journal. Listen, negative also. Now I can get close to these guys and see, you know, kind of what they're all about and alpha versus bully club never would have happened if I was working. Here's your pan in my relationship with the young bucks with candy, of course, toady of known for years, but the whole ring of honor impacting. It actually came from an idea for Don callous, kind of called me fish the idea. And I said, I'm not sure if they'll go for to the work, but I'll give it a try. And it really didn't take too. Because what I noticed that you said this to me months ago Jim when I when I when I had to the host and I said, the king wants to come to make against the co host and said, you do what you want your the Booker. And because I'm the Booker quote, unquote on base for saints on this is my crews and paying you x. amount of dollars. Here, and I want a couple impacts bring on her matches. So let's, you know, the bullshit politics. Let's just make it happen. And because I have a pretty good reputation and I'm still Volvo at a high level, but that they said, let's let's give it a shot. Listen what he has to say. You know, I understand how companies work and you know who's going to go over who's not gonna go over and who's gonna look good and who's not. Gonna look good, and I can kind of smooth over any issues amongst the brass because on still. You know how you got to, you know, you know how it is that the same thing for years. You've got to smear that everybody's ego and make sure that they got a hand on the other. Ruffling feathers kinda gotta take care of. But here's the thing I I was thinking about this the other day at length what you've done here, and I don't know. I hope that they will that the guys the ownership of ring of honor and show cough and his team, and and then you know, the impact guys Don and and Scott, the more that new ownership group, they should really say, Chris, thanks a lot for opening our eyes because the precedent for resting companies to not want to get along was really rooted in the territory system where promoters, most of them former wrestlers who had massive out of control egos didn't trust anybody because they'd cause how could they interest themselves because they got I count of the money on a roll ticket. You never got an honest count ever. So the the issues that were late in laying around there were created years ago in an entirely different culture. In an entirely different time, and I say, Bravo to you because those guys, if they're smart, they can do a Super Bowl once a year. They can do a big pay per view that they do collaborative effort and probably help Bill both brands if they were smart and strategic about the booking of it. And I agree with you. And I think one thing that that really realized now more than ever especially with working with Japan in two thousand eighteen and not w the is. The businesses, so healthy right now, there's so many guys there outside of of the deputy system, and there's a lot of opportunities for guys to money, which is Craig five, let's not kid ourselves the w still be a one juggernaut. You know, you can't beat it. You won't beat it. You'll never beat it. So if that's the case, then why do you know what? What? What Japan, you usually there's always all Japan versus Japan. You know, took your dome matches and sumo arena matches going all the way back to baba and okay, they realize that if they or together quote unquote, they could really, you know, do business. I think if you're working outside of events, you know, Vince universe, why not band together?.

"It's gonna be a hell of time. It's not sold out. There are seven remaining, but it's going have a great attendance, Chris Jericho, cruise dot com. We'll give you. I looked at this morning is a hell of website. It's got everything you need to know our whatever want to know about going on this cruise and being a part of this extravaganza at Christie's co, cruised dot com. And the the versity that you're is luck. You're. You're the Booker and your booking, not just wrestling, but all kinds of things. So as an artist in some of the lobster create this whole thing must be a hell of a lot of fun. Putting all these pieces together. A lot of fun. It's also a lot of work. We've talked about this, you know, two or three times since I've been on show the graciously allowed me to come in and talk about this, but it's it's really cool because you know, start out with an idea. Like I mentioned before, we did the kiss cruise, two thousand fifteen Pasi played it soon as I was finished. I said, I can do my own rock and wrestling cruise. What am I known for? But now a lot of people know for rock and roll and restaurant. So two years later, we finally get it up and running. And then now I have to choose because I'm financing the whole project so to speak, who can I bring a board who can afford? What do I need to do to palm numbers? And you know, like you mentioned, it's not sold up, but it's getting closer still selling steadily, which is it's actually it's an enigma for us of the crew business works. The cruise business works for my partner who six, Matt, and they do the kiss Drew's and Walking Dead and kid rock and all these big cruises that have during nine ten years or so. And this being the inaugural voyage, so to speak. They. Say usually cruise. The cell really big off the beginning, and then they just got a drift away. No pun intended. Exactly. We've been, we've been selling fairly steadily since September seventeen when the cabins went on sale even up to this day and every morning I wake up and I get a report, how many cabins that we sold, how much revenue's been occurred, who who are people come to see where they from? What's the demographic? And it's really blowing my mind see that we're still really marketed this in a very interesting way learning from both our bosses. And of course talk Vincent van in constantly making it a must see keeping that buzz going. So people are constantly talking about it and whether it was I, I now the roster then I now, okay, here's some of the activities you know alive. Talk is Jericho with Jim Ross and Jerry the king Lawler for example, you know a live, talk Jericho about Eddie Guerrero with Conan. The stereo, those things like that that you would see anywhere else and then putting together the whole see of tournaments. And so the first round of that's been announced and then putting together impact versus ring of honor never been done before. Just it just worked out with with the first match being Sammy Callen versus mardi Sturle. There's a couple more matches being announced and then kind of siding. I need a main event for this. I did something that's really attacked line that you can't see what else you've never seen before. Never see it again. And that's when I had the idea to do alpha versus bullet club, which is, you know, there's your tag line. There's your wrestlemainia tagline that, you know, mega-powers explode since always, you know, kind of instills us, you have to have that that tag. So now that we've had all these things now there's so much more people are really saying, I can't miss this. I need to see it to be part of it. So that whole thing that kind of piecing it all together and keep the buzzer and has been a challenge results. A lot of fun..

"Our first male bed comes from Joe in Toronto. I love in the fogcast past few weeks have been really strong, especially the ones that Kenny omega and drew McIntyre agree, Greg is over the past few weeks. You've really stressed. The role of the announcing team is the town over not change. It has been different. What your thoughts on the recent dove product of Sumitomo announcing. There's they got tell stories. It's not an easy job folks. There's a lot of masters of service. Why said here on the program? Nobody cares. They can bullshitting the Michael Colston a hell job. If you had any clue what all's on his plate, you would agree with me. So they're all storytellers. I think by and large to get three men teams when somebody is not talked as much, they think they should. They feel compelled a little bit to get their doodoo in and I don't. I'm not a big fan of that. Getting town over is what it's all about telling believable, plausible, non, I rolling stories as your job, no more, no less and at NEC. From Kenneth in vita Texas, greetings and southeast Texas JR a rare watching back mid south when I was just a little kid that makes me feel good. No kidding. And always said that you're the best in the business than I agree with this great letter, Greg comment. Do you think having James Ellsworth interfering and all the Carmelo's matches kind of craft something we was revolution bus sending a message to champion, a woman needs a man's hell. No come on. Come on. Kenneth must be. It's been hot down there south east Texas. I know that, but the commodity gonna it's not a, I don't agree with you. I appreciate your comments. I'm not angry at you. Curse you up because you, we have different opinion, but it doesn't do anything. Wims revolution Carmella has improved as much as any town on the roster. Got unjustly accused by some wrestling bedside, looking for clicks that I threw on the bus because she defeated Oscar. I didn't approve. I didn't like the booking, but you know, so what but anything. But she's worked very hard has Carmella and she does a lot of things she's for do how she's instructed to do it. So I got no issues a Carmella in the ring, but I didn't. I am a bigger fan of Oscar, and thank the big money is an Oscar. I think the big money was still being Oscar when she gets on a roll. When you you look, Oscars won loss records freedom. Impressive. So in any event, I, I don't agree with you. Kenneth, Braun understand your point and I appreciate you send your comments into us at the gym reported mill dot com from Josh. Lands on agr. I'll answer your question this way, Josh, you build a brand with youth and athletes system. He largely built a brand of thirty five and under with a few exceptions. But largely thirty five and under..

We're going to last long about hurt so great great stories in the we's and we can't move on from July thirty first nineteen eighty eight in county stadium in Milwaukee without talking about hulk HOGAN, Andre, the giant steel cage match the money don't know this guess I'm wrong Moringa. My face put if they the problem that it was an escape the cage. One way winning in addition to pin falls emissions. I think the escaping the cage for many company as a way to win is weak lane and is say, as a way seeming to me that promoters us that stipulation to acquiesce talents who did wanna lose God. Scary like pistons, a car, man, he special cat, but that was her stone cold in the entertainment, offended, Kane, and mankind. The catcher, the tag titles and Jackie feed sable by disqualification and the Keenan contests. I need to go back and research that one. I can tell you one thing, Jackie Moore's, the hall of fame and she's probably one of the most underrated women, maybe one of the most underrated athletes of any gender that I've ever been around a wrestling really, really good and she made women didn't have the same skill set or an experience like sable better. "One of my favorite parts of the show is named for me. I did have a fit Coon one time. I was a kid disappeared after pacing back and forth and running a little spot of my dad's prize yard that he wanted to look like the eighteenth old masters. So all of a sudden one day my Coon has gone. Dad said, you can't domesticate Kun son goofy. Out your dad. Pitkin goofy. I was the memo to do this fortunately show, but there's a lot of candidates. I, some of head scratchers. Why the hell would anybody allow Roseanne Roseanne Barr. In the state of mind. She was in. To be taped for consumption. How could you not protect a star and she may not be the nicest person world? I don't know. I've never met her some the things she said, obviously not ever going to come out of my mouth, but she's just, she's just she look strong out that social media and re with our YouTube page claiming. She was fire baby c because she voted for Donald Trump. Also her off base remarks saying that she thought President Obama official Valerie Jarrett noble released to Jeff Jarrett and his big tour enough. Here's all Ardian progress. How does segue did there? She thought Roseanne Valerie Jarrett was white. And she wasn't and she made a racially insensitive remark about her three, nothing about this whole deal. Good. Roseanne needs some help, and she she something medication and take the down medication. But she looked, I mean, on the edge of disaster and that would be a shame she should be able to. She gotta get her life together, correct? The Airways and move on. Another pet can give your ward. We'll go to or candidate would go be French. Fresno. Emmanuel Macron. His chief of security was caught on tape, impersonating a riot cop with headgear. Now everything I salute meeting of a labor dispute protester and he had, you know, in illegal use the Signi of all of us at beckon may well, the guy's been fired and take them did. It May June July born and take me and was also complicit in illegally trying to taint surveillance footage. So it's a big scandal in France come out the hills of winning the World Cup. Nugget. Tommy the president's got to get control. He the Booker, get rid of some bitch, guess about. It's got more common sense. You can trust. Figuring commonsense you trust this, a rough segue into Donald Trump. Another rant on the NFL anthem debate. For example, first time I I ne- laying out for a game second time mailing out for a season with no pay. And the Miami Dolphins announcing that they will find players who knelt during the anthem on the field this year. And so nothing really in sync the NFL commitment. They don't want to say what's going to happen. What's not going to happen to people understand that that was a protest, grain attention for police brutality on African Americans. It's not about being unpatriotic. It may come out that way. Sure. It does. Some people just to make when it first happened until I, I actually did research and try to open my mind and except somebody else's opinion in motive. So it's a, it's a cluster and the high paid in Commissioner, Roger Goodell's going to their something out. Gotta figure something out because kickoff is close, very close. This is the last week without football until after Super Bowl. And finally folks, the pit can goofy award and this amazing same stuff guardian of the galaxy director. James Gunn get fired on Friday after tweets, resurfaced, where he joked about pedophilia and rape, how in the hell can you make humor out of pedophilia and rape.
