"Frauds. Fakes phonies liars hypocrites. Allies 'cause double standards allies it is. It's a double double standards. Allot complete you know liar. If you think you can say it's okay to say my body my choice would abortions. But it's not what vaccines those allies man. Those are the same things. It doesn't matter what it is once you once you open the floodgates of one thing society in saying my body my choice people can say anything they wanna save for now one day. One thing is like i said with once you say that i want identify with any one thing in life like you know i wanna defy as a woman woman unidentified within somebody who said they did anything and what it once you say that one thing in life like what you say. Oh people one gay or the transgender. The now you're giving people hanging floodgates for pedophile child. Buster thing now they have all the valid. Can you just validated dairies. Say so if you're gonna say anybody's born a certain any kind of certain way you didn't people can say anybody hurt way. If you wanna say you you identify with a man or female. This say identify with iraq who hippopotamus or port. He you know 'cause you once you save for one thing it guys saying for all if not you're a hypocrite. It's a double standard you know. And that's what's going on with these democrats and he's far left is that it's are hypocrites. The all just double standards. You know you wanna you know. Put one day for what this over here. But then soon as we say in applies to this you know don't apply yes it does yes it does once you say my body choice for anyone is society. You can apply to any thing in society you've opened up pandora's box the floodgates open same thing. We're saying i'm born. Somebody's born game born transgender. Where they can say the board of child molester ov- born pedophile. They could say that bore a racist. And you can't deny that if you do your hypocrite. It's a double standard. What you save for one thing you gotta save off. You know what is true for none of it. It's true for none of it is true for none of it. You know because even when pregnancies it takes two people to tangle snap just a women's choice whether a kid is born in the is i'm gonna say this a million times if you're gonna take away a man's choice or to have any decision making whether a kid is born the his not responsible to a child if he has no choice a notice vision whatsoever with actually is born did. He has no responsibility to the kid whatsoever. You take away his choice of decision because people are not responsible for things they have no say so.

"Which is the manning brothers company but espn. It's always been very much on the down low. So i really respect that and i will continue to respect it but Jimmy wildly flattered to be approached. Now let's this in mind. I'm not any espn employees. I never have been. I've never even been to bristol. And they reached out to me to say peyton. Eli are gonna do monday night football. They're going to do an alternative broadcast was like. Wow that's pretty prestigious. that's cool guys will be great and they're like we're thinking we might wanna third person and were interested in you being that third person and so i mean that was incredible i was loved it of course and then what what do you have to do. What kohl's do. I have to walk over to be part of this and so there was some feeling out meetings so couple of phone calls and then we just did screwed up straight up addition myself with peyton with the guy and We did a game and it's like we did a game from last year because the season has started yet. And this is what i'll tell you. When it ended one of the executives who was running the thing they called me right afterwards and they said to me. What do you think and i. It wasn't them this executive said what do you think and i said the hype is real. They they they don't need a host the they don't need a third person like they. I think you should just do the two of them now. Typically you go the other way and say well you know. I i think i think i found spots and i made some jokes not able to put them in a good position and i just didn't i couldn't be. It was in the i if we did thirty minutes by about minute five i was like. Oh my god payton's amazing and We've watched her whole life. We know what is the deal is and how funny is now. Smarty is the football acumen. I'd never seen him like this because you know back then. Even before he's on tv he was still in like prove it mode. It was the first time. I think he'd ever really got up and tried this thing. In some sort of form. And he was just fastball. Fastball fastball toss. To eli interesting comment funny joke. Back to peyton fastball fastball. Like every single thing that he said was insightful. About football interesting original funny. It's all the things that game broadcast crews get accused of not being anymore and so ended. I got a thrill out of it. And i'll tell my great grandkids that i did it someday. But it emphatically afterwards. I was saying i'm not part of this. No one is part of this. You can find anybody in the world. It is peyton manning ally manning and that is it's and sure enough. They agreed with me. Yeah it's funny..

How many of you know. Good morning. Mister i mean is good is a relative term. Morning is a relative term to from jet lags. I'm sleep deprived. i'm cranky a bunch of really stupid crap on media so let's go to people. Yes let's go. The nba is back media day for. I believe twenty nine to three teams team. I think different day. On tuesday people have. I mean there's the lakers. It's all part of lakers exceptionalism media day. Whenever you feel like it's what has religious state of mind clear. Think you know they want to let lebron james have more time to prepare to be cast last night catch any that. Lebron was part of the peyton. Manning ally manning. Monday night football broadcast on monday. I'm vaguely aware there is something called a manning casts the run somehow for. Some reason made some guest appearance but that also that eli manning when they flip the double bird for reasons. I'm not clear on but you know the nfl there they do things different to. It's really good. It's really good. And i wondered if something like this would work. Because they're in the manning's are in two different locations and oftentimes. It doesn't work as well as you think it's going to. But this one really works and how they rotate kind of athlete. Guests in like lebron is excellent. Abroad made some news on social media last night when he noted that in two thousand eleven during the lockout the seattle seahawks and dallas cowboys apparently offered him a contract to play in the nfl. During that stretch you remember the lockout that extended. What till around. Christmas time just before thanksgiving it wrapped around the season started yet. Season started right a eckerstein. So lebron didn't obviously have an opportunity to do that but i thought that was interesting and all state wide receiver in ohio. He obviously has the physique to be an nfl tight. End in two thousand eleven. He was probably in the peak of his athletic form. I hesitate howard to buy into the idea that a great athlete one sport can do another. I mean michael jordan. One of the athletes ever was a mediocre baseball player at best. But i i gotta say lebron probably could have acted in the nfl guy with that type of athleticism had any kind of hands. He'd probably a pretty good tight end. I mean he would have been incredible. The thing is the athleticism absolutely translates in this case baseball. You're the jordan thing. First of all that jordan was able to play at level minor league baseball at all after. Yeah that's amazing. Actually really incredible thought i. I've always thought that the idea was overblown. That somehow embarrassed himself..

I'm not you told me that you want the social the social to meet this. Do not saying just having a conversation. Light were get information because we'll put cost Apart from the putt cost to too. So then why don't into documents to me. Documentation and that specific aspect to prove a point is a bit unnatural to me in it so that it's here notch talk about ways like yeah like when you know in the flow of things in. It is kind of natural because the me off that we do a lot of networking of human. We do things because we need to do and to me. That's not really established in it. So yeah yeah. I think for me i feel like one of the things about human beings is some people lose it like they. They never will get to do anything that puts them in that state. So we'll have gifts number. Two is like a natural system just rubs us even system but we also know rubs us. We ourselves erupt on We don't focus on gifts and and what we can really give to the world. And i think that's one thing that we have. We have to do his art. That you're good at give it on give to produce the most. I will bless you will like black. People are taught to even an awfully. "You know. We played pretty well. Are you on social media. Yeah i'm back on their twitter guy. But i'm on instagram. It's dangerous joe. It is it really is. That's why i'm not on twitter because you know twitter they can get to every little things you see this kind of your own little world. You don't have to look at all that stuff where you on twitter last year A little bit much but twitter. Yeah twitter's and not not a very positive place. How do they rough you up. What were some of the things that were said. Oh i mean you hear it. All how i mean. Bust we arm terrible to all of the above. You hear it all on twitter instagram. A little more positive. Is that what you're saying. Yeah you know. I think everyone is a positive mindset on there. Yeah if you could change one rule in the nfl that that you had in college is. Is there a rule that you would love to change. That's a good question. I would like for there to be less tv timeouts. Yeah no i feel like every series you running out there and waiting for four minutes before you start to play really feels like I don't know. I feel like you take a long time to to to get out there and call the play. What are you talking about when you're out there waiting for the the game to start or continue. Resume borrowing you know. He's acting head. You know going through his thought process some on what played a call and going through his his thought process. As far as you know what. My job is not playing then. He realized what he wants me to tell some guys in the huddle. It's always what pertains to their jobs. And then also you just kinda have a little fun out there. Talk about whatever you know. You don't want it to get too serious. Just did you wanna talk about the lsu tigers. Yes sure how did you watch the ucla game did yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. That was a tough one But i think they got a great coaching stuff. That'll they'll get that right. Yeah and seem like physicality was lacking lacking a little bit and final coach. Oh that's not going to. Last very long does ohio states loss affect you at all No i don't. I don't i you know i haven't played with you know last year even last year. I had some guys on the team that i played with so i was. I was rooting for him But no it doesn't affect me too much. I still talk to some of the coaches there. So i still have some relationships on wouldn't say it affected me. What's great to talk to you. And i mean you talked. Urban meyer about giving trevor lawrence. Advice was at during the off season. Yeah mean coach my stay in contact You know we're good friends now. You know we we talk. We talk on and you know where every couple of weeks you just checks in now. He's a guy. Good coach play against him week. Four though wait so you're friends with him now. You said yeah. Yeah but you weren't friends with him and he was. My coach was hard on me But now now that you know we've kind of got away from it for milwaukee for a while you know we're we're gonna friends we talk a lot But a lot of different things football life all that good stuff does he make you laugh receive funny until areas in his own way. Yeah but i keep hearing that about nick sabin and bill belichick but i never see it. I don't think they want you to okay. Yeah well they're doing a good job of that joe decide. Hey congrats on the win. Good luck against the bears and maybe justin fields. You'll be getting a little more airtime for the bears with this game. No good player. He was you know you got yesterday us exciting to watch. He's going to have a good future. Begging joe good to talk to you. That's joe borough bengals cornerback. Last time we saw him was in miami at the super bowl came in. He was taller than we thought. Looked a little more. Like the actor. Vince vaughn than we thought and A little slider then what. We thought. A lot of these quarterbacks matt ryan when we saw matt ryan at pebble beach. It's like damn. He's every bit six five six quarterbacks look a whole lot bigger in person well some do because you see him being thrown around like rag dolls. And you're like first time. I met dan marino. I'm like how's the defense thrown you around like that dude you're a big guy phil simms big carson palmer big guy a lot of time these big band and he is big. Yes mclovin tom. Brady you put him in that less. No he's taller than you think. But not big. Josh allen is taller than than he looks and bigger than he looks. But you watch these defensive players and you know they've just throw them around apple. I went back and watched the jober interview from. We're at the super bowl miami. Do you remember the first question we asked him. Because we're talking about how young he looked. You asked him if he shaves. Oh because i have shaved shaved regularly. That's great we were talking about young. Look i remembered the big deal was you know. Did you wanna be drafted by the bengals. We're not going there anymore man. I'm hearing from my friends in cincinnati. What are you trying to do trying to sabotage going. I just want to know if he wants to be drafted. Not that crazy. People are so territorial. And i'm not mike. My job is to say. Hey do you wanna go there ally. Manning did not want to go to the chargers. John elway did not want to go to the colts. It's happened before it's not like i go man he's gonna gonna demand to be traded was just. I wanted to hear if he truly was embracing cincinnati. The bengals wanting to go there. He's an ohio guide. Although people think he grew up in cincinnati grow up up north. I think around ohio university. Yes mclovin there is a lot of positive energy around the bengals. They seem to be like buddies. Aw sounds really ridiculous but everybody was sort of supportive of each other. Yeah it was twenty. One seven and the vikings came back and over time and i go. Don't lose this game now. You want to build off this. Jomar chase joe. Mixon has quietly had a nice career. Very good all purpose back now. I know what happened in college. And that'll stay with him the rest of his life and he might not be able to be a star because of that. But you're more chase. Looks good on the offensive line and i remember that the bengals a lot of people thought. Hey take penny. Soule get an offensive line for joe borough. I'm all for that protecting your quarterback. It helps when you have a wide receiver leg. Jamal chase got joe borough in a game where justin jefferson is playing for the vikings and he was with you and you got jomar chase some nice luxuries that you have at. Lsu well you did have it lsu. yes Dan you're bengals could have good run this first half of the season at chicago at pittsburgh jacksonville. Green bay detroit then a little tougher baltimore but then jets first eight games. Yeah i think they opened his three point underdogs against the bears. Yeah a little surprised by that. Well the bears are at home. I mean you usually if they probably look at that game. It's a tossup of.

"Kill but that plane was kind of broken up or tyrique goes off his route and he just knows that he is a quarterback can throw it further and faster than anybody and there's no catch him when he's one on one like that. They're an amazing team. Damn near unstoppable. But i think even can do it in january. My home said after the game when he was throwing tyreek hill he couldn't see him. he just saw norm. And that's through to an arm into a different. Let's let's talk about this for second. Because i i like just the the macro that my point on the browns is they're going to matter whether they're good or not whether they go ten and seven or whatever. They're going to be a team that you have to pay attention to because they just went in there and did that and most teams aren't going to go in there and i'm so jealous of mike. He's going on a journey with his team where they're taking steps and yesterday was a step. And it's really annoying that your to place away as mike mentioned the chubb fumble and getting a pumped back from being even more competitive. But that's a step along the way right like if they beat the kansas city at some point you'll look back. We were close for three and a half quarters and just couldn't get over the line against generational team. It was a step for the texans two years ago where they are now. Oh things change so quickly. Same thing we're talking about alabama things. That's not going to change those two guys unless they get hurt unless kansas city gets hurt. What's not gonna change is teams will come in and out of being able to compete with them whether houston or cleveland. Then maybe they disappear but because you have mahomes and kelsey and tyreek hill and because they do an off day yesterday and it's still more points than every team in the league but form because they're down nine and doesn't matter at all that they're down nine and you're still terrified of them on third and fourteen and on fourth and four. You're just terrified. Of what is the mahomes is gonna do. You can't spend a decade there. Mike just chasing but like they're going to be the standard for a decade if they stay healthy and the might lose occasional games but mike team matters and what i wanted to get into with. You guys is the evolution of the quarterback position because and just in herbert might do it the traditional way. But i think as ally manning and peyton manning go over to espn plus. I think you're going to see something more. And more at that position because cuyler murray is is saying okay. Never mind about that. Thing and russell wilson bus depot you've ever seen but even russell wilson has gotten old now and the young quarterbacks in these fresh legs got with these rules of not. We're not gonna hurt the quarterback. You're seeing even from tyrod taylor. They will stand ten yards back in the pocket and these incredible offer defensive lineman who are you know von curse all these people who are just ridiculously gifted. They just sidestep moved to the side. Do what moore is doing like it's not it eliminates the the threat of the traditional post pocket pressure the pressure of the pocket of playing offense like the there were a couple of times. Yesterday kyla murray. He's just going around pirouettes. Two guys around nine now. I could just back up here. Neither one of you are going to bother me because it's a fly with chopsticks right like i'm just that much more athletic than all of your defensive line jalen hurts was doing the same thing but dan there are still you know jimmy garoppolo's at their and no but i'm saying yes. Tom brady but what i'm saying is this is how the young people i don't know maybe it won't maybe it won't work. Look tanenbaum was right. When he said just in herbert's the guy would've taken not to not borough justin herbert burrows really. I'm not. I don't mean that as the slightest borough i i i just. I'm just watching justin herbert. He looks different. He looks up as a pocket passer. He might be able to keep it alive. But we're moving away of josh allen like we agree on this correct even even after yesterday's game the positions. Not gonna stay. What it what it's been. It's going to continue to move here to this. This athleticism where my quarterback can get me seven seconds to throw and then i'll have all my wide receivers running away from your defensive backs for seven seconds instead of two. I mean you have two guys of waiting in the wings right now in justin fields and trae land so yeah. I think that's clearly where this position is headed. Obviously yeah and it's exciting. Because they more. That's how it's not just that you're old quarterbacks who have dominated this league for decade get survival of the fittest out. It's a whole new revolution of the sport. During the time of provision. Where back there you can watch some playground ball. And you got lamar jackson tonight. Where you're watching. You're watching what poland was telling. You is why. Lamar jackson wouldn't be a quarterback in this league. You're watching the evolution right. Now where that position you're gonna more and more get the best athlete of the field back there and of having going the other way on time evolution execution of i got get this two seconds because holy shit myles garrett is on one side and clowns on the other i got two and a half seconds to or i got eight seconds right because my quarterbacks and he can throw the ball seventy yards downfield. So i'll look lock. It is behind your secondary. Because i've got a super athletic quarterback who avoid sacks remember where we were in twenty fifteen. A lot of us were choosing to mount watch. Nfl football all agreed that the nfl had a problem on its hands. The games were boring. The passes were three yards long and through rule changes and dynamic talents entering the league and an arms race to find your next mahomes and a rookie wage scale. That is meted cap friend link for you to keep taking hacks the nfl fix it and now pro. Football is elegant to watch on television. It's beautiful watching. The kansas city chiefs was a beautiful experience. Their pre lined other the pre. Snap motion the speed. The talent the grace it was like watching barsa. Back in its heyday. It was incredible to watch in the. Nfl is fixed it through those rule changes but the colleges really fixed. Because you have these types of quarterbacks playing at the biggest universities there were two over the weekend. I was watching ohio state. Cj stroud anthony. Brown from oregon. Dan those guys are nfl quarterbacks. Through gods what. Mike is saying though about when you take all of right all of these evolutions that you have where you've got the alabama factory that exists between as an academy between the minor leagues and the majors..

"I had. I had mahomes to repeal and robert woods and i won the points title basically because of that game. That was one of the greatest like the five fifty three with something like that. Yeah and the rams won. And jared goff has not been the same since was like it. Took every ounce of quarterback goodness out of him is weird any well. I'll ask you this guy's manning hall of famer or not. i say yes. I think he's borderline but you know i mean he. He did beat. Tom brady twice. So yeah i mean when two super bowls in its Tom brady and also bill belichick at the height of their evil powers. I think that you got to give it to the man. Plus people don't realize it and you. Google this is in the top ten every passing category So i think with him is he was either really spectacularly great with like those two super bowl teams but then he was really really awful middle ground with him. You know i know. I know but i i think you'll get in. I mean i so too. I think he definitely amputee for two super bowls. I can't imagine yeah you knock. Anybody drives to write the very very end of the game or two game winning drives. He orchestrated right. Yeah well and thanks to david. Tyree a mario manningham too great catches yet. Well if you think about right remember the odell beckham catch you know the one handed grab and he did okay. So that's arguably the greatest catch in the regular season in the history of the and the helmet catches arguably the greatest catch in the super bowl. Ever even my manning through both of those passes badly yeah well keep in mind in the suppo he scrambled. He got away from a guy who had his shirt. I mean come on that dude breaking a winner. Did i ever tell you you. I manning dream story now. It's not that exciting. I dreamt before that super bowl the first one okay. I had a dream that the giants won the super bowl because of something. Great that eli manning did. But i didn't get to watch the game. That was my dream. Wow woke up and it was like a couple of days before. And i got really sick and i had the flu and i almost slept through the game and then obviously they did win because of something great ally. "Room like for them in the moments when they realized that davis is the guy who the pirates are going with. Because i think that one thing we saw just in the fan reaction on twitter particularly once we got to detroit and marcella was stolen. The poured there was an expectation among tigers fans. Like gosh we're going to get the you know the highest ranked guy in the draft because he still available here. What is team going through in those moments and you know when you look at a team like detroit where. They seem to have stuck with their verbal commitment to jackson job. What are the considerations that they're sort of thinking about as their time is coming up on the clock. I mean it's almost easier to pick really high because you only have to line up a few magnets if you have the fourth pick in the draft. Pick your for best players and take what's left a lot easier than picking nineteenth where you have to think about eleven or twelve players who might be there and make different decisions as far as how you're gonna use your bonus money but i think once davis came off the board. I don't think it complicated too. Many things for teams. We kinda got some some information. The sun on sunday morning really that the rangers were really jack. Lighter bust no matter what was going on. They were taking jack lighter and so that one was simple. I think tank the rangers were a set thing and then all of a sudden it felt like detroit was a set thing. I think detroit Some detroit fans like you said are kind of upset about this. I think detroit should get some praise for acting honorably if you will you know. Detroit was we thought all along. A tweet was choosing. It was a assume their favorite player in the board. I think was meyer. I do think detroit was felt. Detroit was choosing between jackson. Job and brady house will typically went much lower than that and they had a handshake deal in place with job and they honored it. And that's what that's what allowed meyer to go to boston. And there might also have been money stuff there. We're not really sure what mars gonna sign for. You buy these assigned and all of a sudden boston after spending all of this time. Trying to get jack lighter down to them had in my mind and areas might as well the best player in the draft sitting on their plate. Four i don't think the first four picks were complicated. I think the biggest scramble probably five with baltimore where they're wondering if one of the quote unquote big four is going to get to or something. Weird's going to happen in front of him and there was possibilities. Now there's late talk of pittsburgh talking to khalil watson. I got very strange leading up to the not knowing who has presented take but i think those first four actually kind of pretty easy in the first real scrambles probably baltimore who was considering some of the high school shortstops watson lawler who are available. We're considering some of the college outfielders on a bit of a What the ended up doing in the end with gordon kawser. Yes it will ask about meyer. Who went to the red sox with the fourth. Pick but you alluded to the red sox soko with lighter. How did that work. How do you things try to maneuver things. So that if you have a specific player in mind you've box out the other teams. Are you tried to get that player. Obviously it didn't work in this case and later went to the ranger with the second overall. Pick the radi out of enterpill. But what was the mutual attraction there and what leveraged teaser players have when it comes to that. When later was in high school he was a late first. Round comp round prospect coming out of high school and went to the same high schools and volpi. Who's crushing in the yankee system. Right now and they were all well scouted well known and you know the lighter family limited the number of teams that they felt as though they were willing to sign with to like the new york teams and philly and so it seemed as though that the family wanted him to end up in a certain market preferably one close to home base. Then there i had secondhand information basically throughout this process that the club picking high enough that sort of fit this bill for the lighter family and allied are just was not necessarily tight lipped about this around certain other people in the industry which is found out is that boston was the target. This time which makes sense. Like the metal. Pick until ten and yankees. Don't pick until twenty philly was in there at thirteen. I don't even know if philly was necessarily an even in their mix coming out of high school though. I the to new york teams were and so you know what you do. Is you throw out a huge number. Like a number that texas would be intimidated by and decide to move off of you because of real with real fear that if they don't have whatever it is ten million that they want to give you that they won't sign you so it didn't work. The lighter family seemed elated when he went second to the rangers. It wasn't like the ally manning putting on a chargers hat situation where he had a sour on his face. At the podium with the commissioner of so i think that it's fine. I think he's gonna sign. But i just think that it's fine like i think these kids should have a little bit more agency. I wish that they could pick thrown employer with something that a little bit more normal than they have but But yeah this is. This is the situation. And it's just so hard if the rangers pick your second and offer you slot which was like seven point eight. Are you really going to go back to school and bet on worry that you wanna be being bad the rest of this year and picking high enough that you wanna go there like it just doesn't make any real practical stance which is why towards the end and we just started mocking lighter to texas as it just seemed the logical fit like the family and the player. If would blink and decide that this is fine that the rangers are fine. And that jack is going to be good no matter where he is speaking of teams that were bad last year but no longer are..

"Game out at this point in time. So the guy kind of looming in the background of all of this community to be jordan. Love the the first round. Pick in twenty twenty We know that whole back story at this point but For a second straight year there are sort of rumblings that he is struggling in In in these sort of you know basically behind the scenes scenarios where where. He's trying to prepare to become an nfl quarterback and the latest. Is dan orlovsky. Espn analyst. My my neighbor out here in connecticut has has said he is quote alarmed about what he's hearing about jordan love his struggles in. Ot as so. If there's one thing i've learned about you guys over the last couple of weeks in the show with you. Is you guys. Enjoy fun things and with that in mind. I thought i'd put together a little Quiz show game show for us to to run through. Today i am going to read you In light of this jordan love news that he is struggling in. Not as. i'm going to read you. Four blind items about quarterbacks who struggled at some point early in their career. These are these stories from From newspapers or internet they had the internet. They write about football there. And we'll see if you guys can guess. I will keep score and we will crown a winner at the end. And how yeah. I mean. I don't wanna over so if you like wait wait. Don't tell me on. Mpr you will probably maybe tolerate this segment right now. Let me ask before we start. How far back are we talking. What timeframe two decades okay not like this now. The quarterback from alabama Terry bradshaw now to get a little bearings here so two decades all right so that is two thousand. Okay two thousand all man. What they said about slinging sammy ball. Yeah so this goes back to basically brady era. Let's brady era. Brady's not in here. By the way i shouldn't have given you that hint. He's not in here. Second find anyone saying anything about him when he was young quarterback probably people didn't pay attention to him until he started right. Yeah no he was everything about him in like is early turning camps for like like the six. Rounder is impressing. He might make this roster. Could he be stash on the practice squad stuff like that but no one was like this guy's terrible right now it's going to. This is going to be interesting. I predict that. I'm going to go for foreign area. I have low expectations. This is so we'll we flipped a coin backstage for the show and Jenny gets to guess. I on number one and then comedies. Let one of these. Jenny as a jets beat writer sanchez wow. I didn't even consider that. I didn't either mela. dan do this. all right any who number one. And then by the way that i'm going to throw in blanks at this person saying this was a column written about this player During his third season blank was awful it may have been the worst performance of his career. I haven't been an advocate of relieving him with the veteran. Backup if there ever was going to be a time. Last night was it. But the head coach didn't consider it he should have. The play of blank is starting to come into serious question. He now has one win in his last eleven starts three in his last sixteen. He has trouble throwing the ball street. And that's not good jenny. Who is this young quarterback all right because of the tone of the column. It sounds a lot like john maclean of the houston chronicle. So i'm going to go with. David carr mu connor. You can also agree if you want. Well one win over eleven starts certain narrows it down right Because i was gonna say with jenny the tone was either mclean or the only people who write like that that are in houston or either in philadelphia or new york right so that would lead me to to say it's either a car. It's ally manning or It is donovan mcnabb. Outside of the he's outside of our back is Donna mcnabb's outside of our parameters here so For sport's sake i'm gonna go. Eli manning jimmy. Eli manning final answer. The answer is drew brees. Oh media come after drew brees really surprised i am going to give. Jenny gets a point and a half for for being closer Geographically and three quarters of a point. All right here we go all right. I was just hoping in. Let's be honest Others still three to go here clip. Who wrote that by the way. Oh you know. I didn't necessarily want to call anyone out Which is what. I'll say because otherwise i'll have to admit that i closed the window and i'm finding it back up that's fine. It was a san diego union tribune. I it was not kevin spacey. That's a that's all. i know. Okay all right clip number two. This is from this quarterbacks second year and this is a training camp report blank is making mistakes at an alarming clip. Context is important but let's not explain away his mistakes. yes it's only training camp. He should be just fine so long as he learned from these early mistakes. But there's more context blankets thrown seven interceptions in six days of practices. He's thrown six of those interceptions in the three padded contact practices which are more meaningful connor. Who is this.

"Those playoff minutes is he capable of doing this. Yeah but not for sustained period of time and that's what has to be pretty scary. Keep anthony davis just out of this game and then gear up for game six and then probably game seven. I mean you really rolling the dice there but i. I don't want him in an an aggravating reaggravated. And then i don't have him. I mean you're just trying to get through the first round and it doesn't get any easier but phoenix in. They gotta be fired up after that win. And it's a big opportunity for phoenix. Bhavan been in this situation. A longtime big big game blazers nuggets big game. Celtics nets may be a big game. Probably not but maybe poll question. Mclovin william for me okay. The question is about russell. Westbrook and the answer itself is overrated underrated properly rated impossible to rate people are saying he's overrated but the fun part is sending a. There's a lot of good impossible to rate guys. One of which i think you're gonna agree is the all time impossible. Okay ally. manning is the most common answer we're five people said eli. It are possible to rate someone ask. Can he be a bad quarterback and a hall of famer simultaneously. Well he could be an average one. Because kurt warner went from greatest. Show on turf. Giants quarterback second-string jackets quarterback taking arizona cardinals to the super bowl and then he goes to the hall of fame. There's some other good ones here. Rickie fowler. i know that golf people have trouble with him. Keenan allen the wide receiver for the chargers nine when he plays great. Yeah that's tastes him hill. I don't know that much good collide leonard. That's pretty good too. There's a hobby bias. But this is my favorite ryan and honolulu's limericks impossible to route all. "All they needed was a quarterback and made it to super bowl always to is like he only one to and they're at the very end of his career. He was at absolute loser for a long time. You went to super bowl like the bills in the early nineties they go and they were gonna curb stomp and that would be it and i'd be like we'll show. The broncos are never destined to win. Brady was the opposite every time the pictures showed up. They look like they're going to win. We lost you were like. Oh they're going to come back next year and do it again. Manning people was tom. Brady's kryptonite not even peyton. Manning can shut them down like eli. Manning could manning's savior of the nfl. You look you look at games. That tom loss in the playoffs. And your guys like ally manning or fucking joe flacco. You don't see big name guys. Don't that's a fact or leg in twenty. Was the twentieth time when the jets was like mark. Sanchez or something. Who is the quarterback. Then you mean the sancho is the sanchis the fumble man like what i. It's always just the random due to come in just like not. This is my time and that ends up not being time but at least they tried here at least beat brady. Let's one thing at least josh allen doesn't have to do that. Josh allen is just so much potential. That's he's got a monster. Cannon greatest quarterback all time if they want to continue you guys see what jordan palmer said there then basically josh. Josh hasn't even come close to hitting a ceiling yet. All there's no chance which is just wild to me that he's as good as he is this year and he's just like you know well he can get better. You know he still stuff to work on this off season. you know. We're going to get back together. We're gonna work on mapping his throw and all that that's wild wildly biggest thing with most teams. You set up your use. The run set up the past bills this year couldn't run the ball like you could literally put v. You could pull eleven cornerbacks on the field literally. Not even line any of them. Up at the line of scrimmage. The bills still couldn't run the ball. Completely stunted kim this through for what forty four hundred yards. I'm like that's insanity has a good run game. The sky's the fucking limit They can bounce it on. All sides. The specialties. I mean okay. The kicking team is good. Special teams defense is horrid chasm bass might be the best punter combination than the nfl. I like kid that kids good. He started off the year really fucking rocky and then farther down game where he kicked field goals. He didn't make all of them. But after a lot of those less attractive was at the jets game. I think so. Yeah he touched. I was at letchworth fucking on a guided hike that day as the game. I missed watching it. And i would just like check in every once in a while when i'd stop someone had cell service and it'd be like oh another field goal another feel sweet. I got bass on my fantasy team. I don't really give a shit. Definitely drafted him next year. I round yup. Well i took. I also think in the first or second round this year. No took kittle..

Who will be Indianapolis Colts' quarterback in 2021
"But we begin today with music that philip rivers is retiring after seventeen seasons in the nfl. Sixteen with the chargers and san diego and los angeles and this one season in indianapolis when he got to the playoffs rivers never got to the super bowl but he stands fifth all time in passing yards and touchdown passes and he started the final. Two hundred forty games of his career without interruption will now become a high school football coach in alabama. Like his dad. We'll how will you remember his career. Well tony we automatically in any sport. Now we began to group people right and we associate certain people with certain folks football. It's done by position you know in a way that is probably not in the other sports. But i think of warren moon and dan fouts guys who were prolific prolific players who had long runs and played almost every game and they had a piled up passing stats. Galore like rivers did but they didn't reach the super bowl and then about through no fault of their own. Their teams weren't good enough. They got close. Each of those three gentlemen got close. But didn't have the breakthrough to the super bowl and rivers the same way river sets himself apart because he ran his mouth a lot. Which i have done without and i tend to like trash talkers but i i am. I didn't take to that. But he was a prolific quarterback. Tony he will receive serious consideration for the hall of fame. You know. I mean fouts and moon that to me shapes the category. I don't know if you've got other names. You'd like to put in there as well. Get to the hall of fame in a second but in looking at philip rivers his career. I thought he was a very very good player. I will remember. Most is the way the way he delivered the ball where he wound up and threw it as far as he could. And most of the time you thought it wasn't even going to get there. But it got there especially with antonio gates and it ended up in the end zone a lot. You talked about grouping people. Well i'm gonna group them as well. I'm going to group them with his draft class and draft class ally manning ben rothlisberger. They both dot to multiple super bowls. They both won super bowls. I feel badly for philip rivers in this regard to me. It's like charles barkley. It's everything but the ring because the statistics are certainly there. And i thought it was a very good quarterback. I'll take the hall of fame issue. I'll add another name dan marino. Who never won a super bowl if the comparables to marino and to moon and to fouts are rare. Then he's going to get in. I don't think they hold it against you. If you haven't won a super bowl there are people who've won. Two super bowls aren't in the hall of fame. You not room for a long ten years. Yeah do you think he would get in.

Behind the Steel Curtain
Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts this weekend
"Look the american football conference. The playoffs are not intact as of yet the steelers just a few weeks ago where the number one seed in the american football conference now. They are the number three seed after three straight losses. Look this team yes. They are in the playoffs. But they are fighting for momentum redemption and seating. And it's very important that they take care of their own business by beating the indianapolis colts which is going to be a tough task. The colts are coming in at ten and four. They ride a fantastic defense behind a forest buckner and also darius leonard and very capable offense as well led by the old wily veteran by the name of philip rivers. Yes they know him. They have been around him a lot in the last seventeen seasons and rivers has faced off against ben roethlisberger as well remember he was the guy who was supposed to go to the steelers and number eleven but ben roethlisberger was picked instead because he went earlier on to the new york giants and then was promptly traded to the sago charters. Thank you ally manning for refusing the play in san diego. You're whiny ways really helped pave the way for to super bowl champions in the pittsburgh steelers in that era.

Eli Manning and the Hall of Fame: The case for and against
"Ally manning thing announced his retirement on Wednesday retiring after sixteen seasons. He's thirty nine years old The giants quarterback who was of course supplanted by Danny dimes. This year but was a rock for for many years is now heads into retirement and it makes sense Meena In fact as a New York I all my friends are giant spans. I was on a tax change just the day before this news broke. And we're talking about that. Allies GonNA retire probably soon. Because when you look at the landscape with all these older quarterbacks on the market and what allies allies been doing the last couple of years. It never made sense that he was going to find a place to start games or perhaps he didn't want to be a backup. So this all made sense but still it. It is the end of an era in New York. I would love nothing more to come in here and defy I. I think what you all know. I'm about to say about Eli Manning I should not be wh- down calls US football cools right. Yeah I would love to say you know what guys you can't tell the story of football without Eli Manning which by the way why why is he the only person who gets that benefit say that about anyone else other than Eli. There's a lot of guys you can't tell the story of football without Aaron Hernandez put them in the hall of fame or if you want to look at pat super we were both. I mean they don't want any of them without dont`a hightower that's a holiday thing. Greg is compared. Eli Manning to know first. Ten Sahal Hyphen reductionist could be just one thing. You consider about a candidate quite well the few want ally in the holly. It's either two cases. One one is longevity. which is I think? A lot of people throw out. Because there's just too many guys who would get in by that and then the other is the two super bowls in the story thing. That's just not about how I would define it. It just becomes an argument. About how do you define the hall of fame. I think in my case against him has always been and yeah. I've been making this case for probably eight or nine years. So this is how long he's been average He's just been averaged entire career. Average in completion percentage yards per attempt. He's actually really way. Below average in the law of the interception categories passer rating these average. He's just for the time he entered the league to the time he left the league. He was an average quarterback over or that span. I I still don't like that being the conversation though when he retired. I we've had this argument so many times that I think we're just tired of it like we've said everything that there is to say about. Eli Manning in the Hall of Famer Eli Manning in general that. I actually was annoyed almost yesterday that that's the conversation when a really great player who was a big part of the league in you know no matter whether he was a top five quarterback no he never was maybe in two two thousand eleven. I went through it once. I think I had him at a top five quarterback one year top ten quarterback only one other your. Yeah that's not the hall of fame but like immediately the second he retires. The entire conversation is like the start of the public hall of fame. Talk which is GONNA be. Never any people are so confident about what's going to happen you don't I know what's going to happen becoming. We were like you know he will be in. It's like you don't know that I think the manning name like this is not a new thought but just that we've talked about royalty and stuff that he's sort of this. NFL Family fixture that. The people voting for this. I think they're gonNa Push Eli Manning right in not maybe. CBS voters down. The conversation depends on who he's against. Though you're really does. Conversation will be never ending for five years then going in. I'm sorry I don't listen you. Everybody discounts counting stats and cory will get too caught up or only point at the two rings and the two superbowl. MVP's but I just think there's something that'd be so if he didn't win those super bowls he's he's not he's not going to have him. I get that but there's something to be said and it's always been feel overlooked both on this podcast aspect in general. Because Eli can be a target. I feel like on twitter that the giants drafted him or the chargers. Technically but the giants Brought him into the team in two thousand four. They put him in the lineup in around October that year and then they never had to think about the quarterback position again for the next ten eleven eleven twelve years and I know things didn't end very well but they should have been thinking about it so when you're when you're talking about right ten years okay I'm GonNa say ten years when you think about other teams about your Brown's Mark My jets so many other teams in the league that go through constant search a churn looking for a guy and you end up with a stop. Stopgap and a rookie. You stinks and then a stop Gat and then another rookie. And maybe you hit on something. Like the SEAHAWKS got Russell Wilson. They don't have to think about anything. Russell Wilson's a better player than the but he eli for ten twelve years. They put him in there. He did his job. He was not spectacular but he was steady. You never had to worry about him getting hurt because he never did. He's the most durable the player ever. You'd never had to worry about him saying stupid something stupid to the media. He always handled that very well. You never had to worry about him. Getting into like a behind the scenes drama with with a coach and exploding and him being at odds and using the media to get a point across and all that stuff he was a Walter Payton Man of the year guy he was a total title. Good Dude and in those playoff runs. Then you factor that in for me. He rose up in historic way. And then just beat. Anybody didn't beat the Jacksonville. We'll jaguars didn't beat a Pittsburgh. steelers heat the Patriots and he'd be Bill Bell Check and he'd beat Tom Brady. And if if that's not something that should be given added points knowing who the Patriots are and what they represent in this era of NFL football. I'm sorry I disagreed to just kind of view that uh-huh yeah beat the Patriots. No he beat the greatest team of all time the greatest quarterback in the greatest head coach. I think that means a lot. His team did right playing. Okay Ah in that Super Bowl. I don't think he would say he had the best game. Even the play he's known for is crazy play. That could never be replicated. The two twenty eleven run is what I remember most fondly. Va Man. I think people kind of forget that won the last game of the regular season that they played it was against the cowboys and then the three league games in the NFC playoffs and that Super Bowl he had a collection of some of the most improbable. Low percentage awesome throws goes for five weeks. Stretch that you'll ever see Joe flacco kind of had a somewhat similar run any add little moments like that the year after they won the Super Bowl two thousand eight. He was really good throughout the year but they didn't win the Super Bowl because if eli manning they want it because of their defense I mean they wanna because of Justin Tuck and he learned of it. It's equally reductive to me to say. They won because of the argue he was part of it took to get into the. I mean the kind of connected back to the HIGHTOWER. No one's out here making a case for hightower you kind of do you. You like to throw this one in. I is the single most important outside of Brady and Gronk like the Patriots. Don't have this run of Super Bulls without dont`a hightower. I think I don't think belongs in the hall of fame but you could every all of the cases were making for. Eli You could just as easily make for like twenty other other random playwright quarterback a case you've made for you. I think is the case. Why he's a great memorable? NFL figure. It's just that's different than in. Our weather also talked about about it forever his position he was not a top ten quarterback. I would say for every year but two of his career. There's no one in the hall of fame you can say they've also said forever. You're in West. You've quoted Vince Lombardi on this that the quarterback it just the most important for a position or a position where the spotlight as and that comes with way. More pressure To it then dot high tower where his position is. I just think what you I was able to do in that spot in those two years is something you can't take away from. I and and say oh he was carried to titles. Because I don't I just don't see it that way. I think you've you stated the case very well. I think it falls shy of the hall of fame. I think if you're a jets fan like Dan or you're the browns fan and you've seen nothing but Ship wrecked chaos at the quarterback position. That the the idea that you would draft someone who would play as Eli did before a PR stunt got him benched you know. Couple of years twelve years of sixteen starts and by the way we are stunned. Got Him benched. He got himself well. That's fine but I'm saying but also the disrespect I just giants fan and you draft draft Philip rivers and he. He did what he did. But you get Eli Manning out of it and you know. He's going to win two super bowls in essentially a total ironman at the position. He's a hall of fame to a lot of giants fans I get. I don't think he belongs to the meeting. Early either reading a story just reading up on allies career. I completely forgot the whole two thousand seventeen. Ben mcadoo where's Ben these days but Jacksonville Jaguars Ben

"Giant steak just when you thinking like that what are you? Discover you discovered at the New York Giants still have a little bit of life in them. If that's how you wanna look at it ally. Manning leads a game winning drive got back pages talking about, you know, the era that change in ariz- from and moving beyond ally. We may have spoken to soon. Allies still hasn't blah, blah, blah lays man for less than two hundred yards. He threw for less than two hundred yards. This is see See it. it. We're going to be honest about it. That's what we gotta do pay attention to this kind of stuff. He manning did not look bad last night. But in knock anybody socks off ally. Manning. Completed nineteen thirty one passes for a hundred and eighty eight yards three touchdowns. Not an exception. Only sacked wants. And you just look down a list. And what does this come down to this comes down to a question? And as only a two part ants, what you happy about what you saw from Ila Odell Beckham junior saquon Barkley and a crew or do you find yourself sitting here today thinking that the New York Giants are the biggest idiots the NFL has seen in quite some time. Because the reality is that if you want the number one overall pick in the NFL draft, you don't go out there. Having just one win on the season and beat a one win eight you're battling for purgatory. You're battling for up two. You're bad. You're battling to be recognized as the very worst there by being the team that needs the most help. That's why you would get the number one overall pick this supposed to be doing. Now, some people say, well, Stephen they wanted as opposed to do I agree with that. What are you supposed to do if L Beckham was targeted eleven? By the way, and all you have four receptors seventy three yards albeit touchdowns, but Beckham Julia and saquon Barkley out on a field, you should be trying to win football games. However, if you wanna lose on purpose why you plan any of them. Why don't you bitch alive down? Why are you holding a traffic violation against kala? Let backup quarterback who the hell cares. Now granted I'm not advocated that he was right to break the laws certainly not to try run over police. That's just quite stupid. But let's be really what trying to run over to police lays gentlemen, I'm very very familiar with this route that he takes I'd take that route all the time four ninety five and sometimes they barricade or ward off these certain roles that allow you to get to destinations quicker, but take your leeann rush hour traffic, personally speaking, I think the letter tobacco quarterback has gotten a bad rep.

New York Giants waive young QB Davis Webb in shocking move
"The New York Giants cutting Davis Webb. Now Gordon, I know we. I heard on the national side, but locally was the talk is serious last year when we had UI manning getting benched and the giants talking about eventually taking saquon Barkley at two in the draft. This idea that Davis Webb could seriously be the quarterback of the future. Was that a serious conversation around New York? It was not just fans of brought that up. It was media members that brought that up. There were people who consider themselves insiders who felt like no Davis Webb has a legitimate chance to be ally. Manning's era parent, which was strange because even at the time it was said that ally manning was going to play the expectation barring injury for at least another couple years. You're talking about a guy who would be going into twenty twenty without really seeing any significant time who you drafted in the third round and still then maybe he might be the apparent. But no, that was absolutely brought up as some by some that that was a reason why the jets were not gonna take a quarterback in the first round of the draft that they like Davis Webb and they thought of him. He was a third round pick. And that's not something to sneeze at so. But no, I never worked out that way and it was always kind of puzzling. I think to a lot of us that that Origene that did not draft. A guy is now going to put this faith in this guy, especially when he did not have good preseason this year. I mean, anytime you, you know, when he really got a bit of a chance in the preseason that first preseason game where he got a significant run, he was not good. So I think that the news is still kind of stunning that they decided to cut them essentially decided to go with the thirty year old Alex Tanny over him when he was just a third round pick a year ago. But the I know that talk about him at least within some circles in the media was out there talking to Gordon Damer on the show Pennzoil performance. Does that make you at all hesitant looking back now, even as great as we all think saquon Barkley is going to be this idea that in a year worthy quarterback class was considered so stellar and understanding. It looks like that talent is going to drop off in the coming years. When the guys we're seeing coming out of college. Does that give anyone pause now, looking at the fact that maybe even with a great running back giants could have passed on a quarterback that could succeed succeed, Eli manning that narrative is already well established in this town. Yeah. I mean, people are already hopping on that bandwagon might be the only exercise some people get, but that is the that is the exercise they're getting right now is jumping on that bandwagon because that's one that you can easily foresee right saquon Barkley could go out this year and as a running back, have a sensational season. But if the giants don't make the playoffs, go deep into the playoffs another year off the calendar for thirty seven year old ally manning and in the very same stadium, you have this young twenty one year old quarterback who very well could be making strides to show that he is the real deal and at least so far, right. We're talking about all these quarterbacks taken in the first round. He's the only guy that's going to be starting week one of those guys, all these guys that we talked about and we're dreaming all these scenarios before the draft Sam darnold. The only guy and he's still playing in this town with the along with the, you know the jets facing off against the giants who decided, no, we're not gonna go, rebuild. We're going to do quick fix. We're going to plug in a running back who's certainly going to be very talented now that that narrative is certainly out there. Well established and people are just looking for more and more evidence to kind of support it right

Odell Beckham will report to Giants camp on time
"Talk about other wide receiver. Odell Beckham junior was back in March. Kinda felt like man is a really good chance that Odell Beckham junior is going to hold out as he seeks a new contract. He's gonna play this season under his rookie deal. It's gonna pay him about eight and a half million bucks, but he showed up for many Cam. He participated in most of the giants off season program and word is he is going to be there tomorrow when the New York Giants begin training camp. Here's a Jordan Renna on ESPN NFL giants reporter on sportscenter last night, talking about what Dell showing up the giants training camp means he's doing all the things giants. Ask them shown up minicamp showing up to OTA's. Now he's going to show up the training camp. Look. He had an option here Khalil Mack. Aaron, Donald day matrix differently. They may not show up for their teams. Adele, this guy wants to play football, right? He's a football player dying to get back out there. So he wants to get out there during training camp and he's putting the ball in the giants court and saying, hey, look, I'm doing everything possible to get this deal done. I want to be here, right? I'm doing whatever you guys asked me. I want to be in New York Giants. Let's get this done and there's really hasn't been any serious negotiations so far to this point Odal Beckham junior getting a report to a giant strain cabbies obvious coming off a year where he had the broken ankle only played in four games that remains to be seen, how much is it going to practice? Will he be on the field on Thursday when workouts begin? Is gonna play in the preseason and do the giants get a deal done with him during training camp historically. And obviously there's a regime change in New York, but historically, when the giants do these things like they did with ally manning these things take place behind closed doors, they don't typically, you know, show their cards. Regards to contract extensions, what they might do a certain players. So does this get done? It's a very good show of good faith by Odell Beckham, junior. If you're giants fan, it's like, dude, get it done for for as as much as del Beckham, junior Camby, quote, unquote distraction, and it's been immature before the whole, you know, going boat before the playoff game a couple of years ago with a bunch of his teammates and getting into fights with with Josh Norman, dude, Odell Beckham junior's one of the best three wide receivers in the game. You're not going to get anybody as good as him. You're certainly not gonna get any better than him. I'm not a big fan of saying, look, pay him and move on, but of got to do that, right. I mean, if you're the giants and you kinda going to go through this transition phase at some point where you move on from ally manning, maybe not this year, but at some point in the future and you've you've gotten saquon Barkley and you're looking to make a rebound from last year when he went three and thirteen Beckham junior's marvelously talented, he is still just. What twenty twenty six years old. His first three seasons in the NFL were historically great. Get it done, get it done, and the fact that he has shown up or gonna show up and be there for the beginning of training camp. That's a show of good faith. You have to reward that get the deal done and move on. And last podcast. Carmelo Anthony is the new rocket man. He's going to be a member of the Houston Rockets how many of us remember his time with the Atlanta Hawks is fondly as I do, but I'm in for Michael junior. This is first and last on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. We will get into Carmelo Anthony and why. I think mellow in Houston can work coming up in just two minutes. But first, David Robinson was on the jump yesterday, sharing his thoughts on the Kawai Leonard situation with his former team is one of the oddest situations. I think I've seen since I've been in pro basketball. He's he's a hard guy to understand..

NFL Draft Quarterback Class: The Holes and the Hype
"It's a cat and mouse game here so all the stuff that you're hearing about who teams like and whatnot you take it with a grain of salt but i do think the new york giants there with the second pick really are going to dictate a lot of what happens for the rest of this first room by let's see what you guys think eighty eight say espn eight seven to nine three seven seven six started off with joey he's calling from la joe you're on espn radio how were you and doing great and how about yourself joe i'm doing outstanding what's on your mind today and there's a lot of the nfl draft but i want to begin by asking you have you seen so much buildup leading up to a draft i it's this is the most i've seen since two thousand four with ally manning not wanting to go to geico well what was the common denominator with two thousand and four in two thousand eighteen is that you had a few quarterbacks who will figure to go here early on in the draft remember in oh four yet three quarterbacks going the top ten now the interesting thing about it though here is i'm not going to sit here and try to convince you that josh allen josh rosen sam darnold if indeed those of the three guys off the board i in any particular order i'm not going to sit here and try to convince you that those three guys are going to the hall of fame just like alive rivers and ben rothlisberger are going to be in one day i mean this end up this could be the same disaster as when we had tim couch donovan mcnabb and akili smith go one two three it might end up being that way but i do think that there's a couple of these guys who figure to have good careers and that's why you have the nation when you have the quarterback and when you have as many of them as you have figuring to go early on here in two thousand eighteen that's where all this buildup comes from.
