"So so, so, so, so at that point in time, he just threw the ball just a cold, But my my problem's not with the decision is the pen. If you throw it up a little bit more. He's six to you know the reason why just because he could do is jump ball type of player. But if you don't give me that chance, I think that kind of was mom. Bigger thing more So that is decision. I love the aggressive And I love Carson with And to me. It's a mental thing because it looks like he's overthinking everything he's doing now. I got to bring that back to press Taylor. What are you teaching? Because this was never the case when John people little was here. Never the case. Now all the vendors the case, maybe, like like, like like to me are rolled me. Does Peterson on more of the blame for the anybody off your quarter pickles? Are you letting this happen? All right. She appreciate it. Yeah, I mean, there's definitely something to the coach. And now now the de Filipo stuff in 2017. That's that's a long time ago. And if John D Flipper was still hears the quarterbacks coach would they like what would their relationship be? Right with Carson continued Tio with take his coaching. You know, I don't know. Here's what I do know that micro Apparently, they didn't see eye to eye on some things and microbes. Not here anymore. And press Taylor, who Carson gets along with very well is here right now, So I do have to question whether or not he's being coached hard enough not by Doug, but by his position coaches by who's the offensive coordinator like what's the What's the hired Duct office coordinator? Right? So after Doug like, who's the next loudest voice in there? Press Taylor, So he's the passing game coordinator. I get. I mean, I guess, right, like normally the offense or just outlined. I mean, I don't know. Or just Alan or or Marty. Whose is it? Or is a skank or l O. Um You're 14 offensive. What else was hard, But that's was hard to determine right now. I don't know how much those Senior assistants advisers. How much say they have? How much of an input do they get on the game plan? I don't know how much gang gorilla how much he gets to say, and press. Taylor's working directly with Carson, right? All right, so I don't know. From what we hear. Marty Mourning week is working more directly with Jalen hurts. Oh, great. Who was active yesterday? He looked great as a decoy in but I mean, by the way, like using him as a decoy right there. That's a good idea to get some eyes. Eyes on him. Had no problem with Jalen hurts being out there yesterday. No, actually liked it. I did, too. Yes. Yeah. You know, I put up for five plays next. I saw some different stuff yesterday. From all fits. I like that. I like the stuff that I saw from the offense. From a schematic standpoint, I don't have is much of an issue. Yesterday. Oven in. I mean, after going bombs away in week one, they decided where we're go Bombs away today, like Jack was well that way over everything. They threw one deep ball today. I mean, yesterday, Carson said after the game. It was like the Rams. We're playing not to allow them to do that. But doesn't mean it'll take shots. He was smart enough to throw that thing in number 20 area for the most part, two targets all day. Yeah, even Randall. Yeah. You want those? Too many? Yeah, but I mean, like Thank you. Have you still got him going now? They did it. It's like you just like Is it just the simple like as he's just got to snap out of it like because you're asking, like is it about mechanics is about this is about that is like a shooter that has lost His touch now is Marco. Follow. You Gotta shoot Marco Boats Disaster. Keep shooting, man. Yeah, he does that. So you'd listen. That's the only alternative many has to keep far and he has to keep working at it. And so he gets into a rhythm. I mean, that's what it's going to take. I don't know what else to tell you. I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry. Me neither. Sorry. Let's go. Teo, Alex and Queens is one of the most annoying anti Wentz Falls fans. Let's go to him right now. Hi, Alex. Hey, guys, You know the most. The coach could do a scheme Guys wide open. You know, Jared top was missing his receivers yesterday. McVeigh would have lost the most that. OK, so all I saw. How could he miss those receiver? Everybody was wide open. Right. But the Eagles the last two weeks throughout the game, had wide receivers that we're wide open all games. Doug Peterson from a play calling standpoint was perfectly fine. I don't blame 1% on them for Carson went missing wide open receivers. What I look at it. Carson went goes over 16 this year. I'm not even blaming Doug Peterson 1% because what is the sample size? Doug Peterson without Carson Wentz, Doug Peterson window almost every single game when Carson went not under center. So how will we blame Doug when the team is significantly better when Carson wants isn't playing, so I looked at the last three years. Last year, they started five and seven. And those excuses of, you know not having to Sean Jackson, but that doesn't work because they have to Sean Jackson. We started off on duty here. 2018 they started 56 with went. What was the excuse for that? So this has been a coaching issue because we know what coach did with a backup quarterback. Not even able to beat out too busy, and this coat was able to win four games with this. Order back. What are we blaming the coach? It's not coaching and you want to talk about quarterback play. I was never a big fan of statistics. Because look at how went played in 2018 statistics were better than 2070 better passer rating. Better completion percentage. The team around them plates significantly worse. So this is any roster issue because we've seen the last two years. Equal start 56 with went, why that re occurring theme where they continue to struggle and play every game flat. This is a guy and I said it from Day one that does not have the desire to win. You look at Dallas Godard. He's wide open by the end on went ignores you look a 2018. When they played the pants. They had a third into When's ignores. When Smallwood, who was wide open, he throws into double coverage to Alison Jeffries. Incomplete, fourth down, Mrs Wire opens accurate and they lose that game. This is what has been going on the last 2.5 years. And the one year he was going to down. 17 acting team went undefeated without him. So when you have a team that plays significantly better without this diet And he needs coaches to play. Well, then you're not a good quarterback. Russell Wilson, Tom Brady. All these guys, no matter who their coaches are. They're always good. Aaron Rodgers. Ben Watkins Burger. If you're you're paying 130 men out to a quarterback. And the reason he isn't good because of press Taylor or because John de Filipo guy was failed wherever he's gone without Peterson. That's the reason Carson went. Not because he doesn't have a quarterback coach that he isn't the right guy for your team. There is out some queens. Thanks out. Appreciate it. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that that this isn't concerning what's going on with Carson Wentz and I do think that I don't think they're going to play like this The entire year, he'll He'll find his way out of it..

"I was winning for Bose old music here. But no one gets a joke anymore. I you know, what I always thought it was about us anyway. Yeah. Right. Well, it's hard to explain it inside jokes. Yes. Well, I thought it was fun listening to bow song when he came like a wrestling theme walking in and he doesn't have that tonight. But anyway, he's with us Bo wolf athletic. I'm off here. I thought you music was going to accompany you in that'd be walking down the aisle with with a pair of British bulldog. Just like the British bulldog. Yes, that's the way. I picture. These interviews you're somewhere dresses, the British bulldog with BULLDOGS, and we have the exact same physique that. Yes, beau. It's been a while since we've talked. Off of bulldog. A British bulldog. Okay. I was gonna say because something called the bulldog of the eagles beat Jack. Jack is too young to understand your Davey. Boy. Smith is. Yeah. We're dating ourselves. Here doesn't know who the British bulldog is it's okay, though, Bo you wrote about the combine you wrote about the eagles as we get set for well, first of all before before we get into it is kind of weird weird for you. Because you're still doing your thing. But just for me for us here like this Phillies. Stop this Bryce Harper stuff. Usually this time of the year. All we're talking is eagles. And now it feels like the the free agency stuff is about the sneak up on everyone. Yeah. I I can't I can't say I feel the same way. I've been you know, we were in Indianapolis for a few a few days for the combine that was all we were talking about. And although I was sitting with she'll be happy, Starbucks as we watch the, you know, the head honchos around the NFL hopping up with you. And then I see I see John hayman's tweet break and broke the news to she'll. So so that was fun. Well, I'm glad you've been in eagles mode because we need some thoughts. We need some news here. So we're getting close to free agency. And we're also the combine before we get to the stuff that's coming up the next couple of days into the weekend into next week. I want them with a piece I read that you wrote this more I read it this morning. You wrote it about the combine and kinda surmising and guessing who could be the eagles first round pick based on who is likely to be available. What kind of players they usually took tell us about the peace in kind of how you put together your list of who the eagles. I pick might be. Well, listen, I mean, there are there are so many so many variables when you pick as late as eagles do at number two. Ninety five. So no matter how their stacks who they want. Here's no guarantee that those guys are going to be there. So I I did a list of the twenty players who are most likely to be the eagles pick at twenty five. And even like, the most likely guy is probably like a five percent chance. But from where I sit the eagles are gonna use that first round pick. If they if they stay in the first round on most likely, I think it'd defensive lineman. I think they would love for it to be a defensive tackle or defensive vanden. And if it's not to be that, then the way that Howie Roseman values positions to me, it's going to be either an offensive tackle or wide receiver. Now, there's a there's a possibility of a running back, although it'll take sort of a miracle for me to believe that how he will ever draft to running back in the first round. But what I do think is is that the eagles. They've got those two second round picks. I think they have the munition to move up in the first round if they see a guy fall that they're really love. And to me, the two guys who sort of fit that mold number one is at Oliver the defensive tackle this sort of. Undersigns but athletic freak from Houston. And he's probably going to be a top ten pick. He was sort of like the guy in college football for a couple of years. But it seems like if the quarterbacks go to the top of the board you get the puck down even to like fourteen or so I could see the eagles moving up that high to get him. He's you know, he'd be a perfect complement to Fletcher Cox, obviously, they they released him during the other day. So there's a big long term and short term need at defensive tackle. And then the other guy is Christian Wilkins who's also defensive tackle from Clemson. Now, there's there's three Clemson defensive lineman were probably going to be first round picks Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence who sort of big huge guy in the middle. I don't think Beagles will be very interested in him. He's more of a two down player. And then Cleland feral off the edge. Who was not as dynamic a pass rusher? As guys like Brian burns from Florida state, but more of a three down player, but just knowing what Howie Roseman values building up that defensive line. You know, I think we have talked about it Joe they've got you know, one. Starting caliber defensive lineman who's young, and that's Derek Barton. Fletcher Cox is sort of in the middle of his career as well, but they need to get younger there. And and we know how much how always been values deposition. And he has said that this draft is historically deep along the defensive line. So I expect eagles to to mix multiple editions on the defensive line in April. Yeah, I'm with you. And the way your assessment was there that makes the most sense it could be the train upright Oliver, which would be dynamic pairing with Fletcher Cox, or one of the other names that you mentioned but on your lesson. You also mentioned this position wide receiver. And I'm looking at here marquees Brown, Oklahoma. He's fifth on your list of the twenty possible players that could be their picket twenty five and you wrote here, then the Sean Jackson comparison was I've seen in a bunch of places. He would just just his skill set. Bow in the kind of player, he is it would give this team and element of something. They haven't had for awhile, which is someone that really could take the top off defensive be that deep threat for Carson Wentz. Yeah. Yeah. And I think this is interesting. You know, we actually did a with all of the beat reporters for the Atlantic. We did a mock draft site-wide mock draft everybody was picking for their teams, and the board broke that that I had Mark Brown going to the eagles at twenty five. Now, he is he is tiny. He's like a hundred and sixty six pounds not necessarily like a rocked up 166 either. He's he's pretty slight. But he, you know, he tracks the ball deep as the Sean Jackson did that sort of why he gets that comparison. He's also obviously incredibly fast. Now, you know there there is only one to Sean Jackson. It's sort of it's sort of easy to throw that comparison on a guy who's who's short and fast, and can, but you know, Doug Peterson at the combine sort of pushed back a little bit on the notion that eagles need speed on offense. He said, you can sort of create space in different ways. You know, they've got those two tight ends in Dallas got her Zakar. It's, but I I don't really necessarily believe that. I think I think that's a bit of a bluff on on ducks part. I think obviously they have sort of tried to. To go cheap on that field. Stretcher move over the past couple of years Torrey Smith first, and then Mike Wallace last year that didn't work out, obviously when he got injured, but I think this eagles team is sort of desperate for for a little bit of speed. Now this draft is not super stack at the top of the draft. Although it is pretty deep. But I I sort of make the case that you know, you're staring down the barrel of this mega extension for Carson Wentz. This is not a team that's going to have a ton of cap room over the over the next few years, and they don't, you know, Alison, Jeffries, great. But he's almost thirty years old. He's twenty nine who knows what's going to happen with Nelson Adler. I'm sort of fascinated by what the eagles are gonna do there. But you know, how are the eagles gonna find a long-term running mate on the outside for Carson Wentz? If it's not going to be at the top of the draft. I don't think they're going to be able to afford, you know, high priced free agents at that position at a at a premium position down the road. So to me, you know, if it's not this year it's going to be next year or the year after they sort of have to invest first round picks or early round picks at that position. Bo wolf. Athletic joining us here as we look ahead to what should be very interesting eagles off season the draft. We just touched on and bow free agency is about to begin here and felt like leading into this offseason. This would be more of a quieter year. And they never really quiet, but just because the cap space situation wasn't great. But then in the last couple of days how he has gotten to work restructuring lane Johnson. And in the next few to Jason Kelsey, which create some room for this year. What's your sense heading into this thing? And they've already accomplishing things. I'm sure they wanted to they brought back Brandon Graham re-sign as Isaac say Malo. But I'm starting to get the sense that how he's got something sleeves that. I don't see coming here. Well, I think that's how amount he's always got something up his sleeve, right? And you know, he said, he if you watch what how he does he sort of has this for all his wheeling and dealing his sort of team building philosophy is is is pretty straightforward. He takes care of the guys in house gives them top of market extensions and wants to build the line of scrimmage and and take care of his quarterback. So he has done the taking care of guys in house. Now, they do have enough room to make maybe some kind of splash. It's still not you know, a ton of room. They're still going to be sort of like twenty ninth or thirtieth in the league in in terms of cap room. And and how we had said they don't really wanna play at the top of the market because then you're competing with twenty five teams. Whereas if you're sort of going for those second or third year free agents, you have a chance to be sort of the highest bidder of four or five teams that said like I do get the sense that because this team does not really have a ton of really glaring short-term needs. I mean, they need to find a defensive tackle. But a run stuffing. Thing to defensive tackle is is diamond does and you can find those guys anywhere. You know? Maybe you need a third safety. You probably need another pass rusher depending on what happens with with Chris long. And Michael Bennett, you probably need a receiver at some point. But I get the sense. And I've said this to you have to shook a potty on on the personal friends podcast. I get the sense that that how is this off season is going to be one big splash move, and then just sort of taking care of in house business everywhere else. And I don't know what that's going to be. I don't know if it's going to be Levy on belly. You know, they have the eagles have said that they are not interested in Antonio Brown. Although, you know, I wouldn't necessarily rule it out. I don't know what that's the last movie was going to be they have trade chips. There have been rumors about about Michael Bennett and even snag alert being involved in traits. But you know, knowing how Roseman I would not be too far from your Twitter feed next Wednesday. Now, I won't be and I'll be paying attention. But what what are your thoughts on levian here? I mean, I've seen the odds. And I think they're the third team listed in some of those off offshore Vegas betting places. And I also saw at the Atlantic. A couple of days ago that the eagles were in the mix there the jets, maybe the favourite the bucks the eagles. But I I don't I never liked the idea of paying running backs in free agency unless they are someone that really was barely used before. And that was the opposite of Levy on. He was used a lot took last year off two years ago. Now, I think his yards per carry went from four point nine to four point. Oh, then he took a year off. There were all those rumors out there that maybe put on some weight..

"In Philadelphia. WIP? WIP usually joins us on the line. But today in studio city of Jeddah Cameron, John Ritchie, and of course, Elliott shirt parks with us. Unbelievable job covering the eagles here for us at WIP, Elliot. How are you today? You know, it's funny as it is to call in during the season if it's off season, I had the chance come in with you guys got to take advantage of it. So I'm doing great. I like that. I appreciate that. All right. So L E. Let's get to it. You know, what one thing out of the gate, and we'll get to kind of around the roster free agency gets cooking in March. And obviously a lot to discuss their. Let's just start with what came to John. And I and a lot of our attention near the end of last week. The report from pro football, focus on falls specific to something about the that a team franchise a player needs to the term is acting good fate right to employ him. And so, of course, that led a lot of us to wonder does that mean, Nick foles can't be franchised were not what do you know about? This. So as you mentioned, the report states, and it says in the that when you franchise tag, a player, you have to do it with good faith that you want them on your team. That's the spirit of the rule. The franchise tag is for a player that you need on your team that you want to keep so the eagles if they placed a franchise tag on foles in theory would be doing it because they want him back. But as we all know, they would really just be doing it, hopefully trade him. So if they were to place the franchise tag on full, and they haven't till March fifth to do that foles would then have to decide if he wants to sign it or be if he wants to fight the tag if he wants to say, you're not trying to keep me. You're just doing this to keep me from being a free agent. So that would be up to foles and part of the reason he would maybe fight it or not depends on what he thinks. He'll get in free agency. Well that and then another part of it is if he feels that there's a team he wants to go to division, right? That the eagles won't want to trade him to you know. That's a heck of a reason a flight. I mean, if I was false, and I felt that I was tags. Let's use the term illegally paroles. I would find it. Absolutely. I mean look fulls as during the season when asked about this. He's never really been completely comfortable talking about it mostly because he was playing and he just didn't want to distract. But the one thing he's always emphasized as he wants to have a choice, and he wants to have a say as to where he goes. I really think getting traded the Saint Louis early in his career burned him. It really was probably the one black spot on his resume to go there. So what foles wants is a choice. I think there are some scenarios where he would accept a franchise tag and accepted trade, but only to a place he wants to go. He's not going to agree to the franchise tag. And then just get traded to where the eagles want want to move him. Do we overestimate his worth I mean, if he does end up being a free agent? What what who is numbers look like on the open market is he that upper tier guy. What can we expect a unique situation? Because obviously, as you know, former player when the agent goes out there and once a contract he'll use. Comparable contracts to say what he calls his word. Who is there that you compare to false, right? I mean career backup in a way. But also SuperBowl MVP, we all know what he did last year. I went, and I looked at the most recent deals that you could maybe compare them to I mean, Alex Smith, obviously has much more of a resume to pedigree. But also game manager he got fifty five million guaranteed. Full doesn't get anywhere close to that. Jimmy Garoppolo a guy that hadn't played much and then the forty Niners trade him. I don't think he gets anywhere close to the forty one million that Garoppolo got now to deals I think do make sense for falls. Blake Bortles last off season. Got twenty six million guaranteed in case keenum got around twenty five. So I think that's right around where folds market will be maybe a little more, but guaranteed what are you talking per year? Per year. I would think around nineteen twenty twenty something like that. But with these deals, I mean, it's really the guaranteed money. I think somewhere around twenty twenty one something like that. What do we do at the wide receiver spot? I know that we picked up Nelson's fifth year option. But golden Tate says he wants to be an eagle did his half a season as an eagle make them unwilling to bring him back in what does his market look like right now. So I think the Nelson Aguilar. Golden Tate dynamic is really interesting because they traded a third round pick for Golden State. So you would think they would do that with a a desire to keep him long-term embrace some type of idea of what it's gonna take three signed him in a willingness to meet that. Now his performance here with clearly not ideal right? Didn't really sink. I mean, the coaches talked about trying to get him integrated into the offense. So I don't know what he'll kind of get on the open market. But the eagles are going to have to decide. Do they want Nelson Adler at ten million golden Tate at ten million? I don't really think you can bring back both. And I think you could move Aguilar. If you wanted in a trade, which would open up ten million ten million free, there'd be no dead cow. Now, when you be surprised Elliott if he plays on that ten million just because they pick it up, isn't it more likely if he's here that that he is restructured and essentially given a long term contract extension for the next phase of his career. Isn't that the more likely scenario? I personally don't think. So really? Yeah. I mean, I think if the eagles were going to strike a deal, you would think it would have happened last offseason. He was coming off of a huge year. They'd won the Super Bowl. He had a big year. He was eligible for an extension for the first time. And so you would really thought that would have been the time to do it. The fact that they didn't really raise a red flag to me and almost say that very few players that how he values enter the last term of their deal with last year of their contract with great point. So the fact that Adler still doesn't have an extension. I personally think he he is going to play on that. Oh, a ten million's a lot for Nelson aga-. I probably the second best receiver on the I think he is. Has to. But I mean when this team really needed some help in the first half of the season when they were struggling with outside wide receivers. He wasn't good enough to serve that role. I appreciate what he's done. He was one of the five best players. They probably had in the Super Bowl. He's a pretty good player. But I mean ten million dollars for for for slot receiver. Nelson Aguilar seems very rich for me for a team that's gonna have some cash. So the the issue I think with looking at what did statistically last year? It's at the whole offense struggled. I mean, even Alison Jeffries numbers for a number one type receiver money were not great. So. Yeah. Aguilar. I agree like he didn't put up big numbers. But he also didn't really suffer from drops. And I do think he was getting open. I think just the whole offense was kind of struggling I think Adler is where ten million dollars. I think I think he's the most talented. You can make the argument is most talented receive on the eagles just in terms of route running hand speed all that stuff. I think the offense needs him next year and losing him. I don't think golden goal and Tate replaces what he gives you. What do we do at defensive end? Well, Vinny curry was just released by the buccaneers. I think. He didn't really play for them. I mean, he sort of I guess he got hurt percent of this. Naps fell out of favour there when he tried to come back, right? Plan much. Yeah. Is he over the hill? Is he a guy that they bring back Chris long? What do we do there? Brandon Graham, we know that you know, we've got the cap issues. What what is your prediction defensive ends really an interesting subject for this team because although the quarterbacks get all the attention. They've really been team they've been because of their defensive line, and it's endanger of really being in trouble. Because as you mentioned, Brandon Graham, a free agent. Chris long has not fully committed to kind of coming back. He said he wants to be somewhere he'll be appreciated. I think he'll be back. But he hasn't fully said it dared Barnett coming off that shoulder injury. So they have to do something then he curry. I know they wanted to keep him last year. Even after they traded for Bennett, they still wanted him back, but he just made too much money to keep. So it wouldn't surprise me. If he came back here as a deaf piece, and then obviously the big question is Brandon Graham, but look the defensive end position is a big one. I think it's the biggest position in this team. What what about journeyman status? What's his deal so journey? Again, two things with him one. I don't think he really he made a bit of an impact when he came back. But I don't think he made a big enough impact to kind of warrant. I think his cap hits around eleven or thirteen million, which is way too big. They can cut him in save around eight or nine million. I think he'll be back if he's willing to restructure a much lower deal, and he wants to stay here. Otherwise, I think they'll move on from him. And then again, we just talked about defensive end defensive tackle is also a huge navy because loading not is probably not back if journey not back, then you really need somebody next Fletcher Cox to stop him from getting double team so defensive tackles huge as well about left tackle. And it's funny all the holes esteem has you can just keep going, but look left tackle Jason Peters. Similar to Jernigan in the way that his cap it. I think it's around ten million if they cut them they save around eight. So there is that appealing to save the money, but who you're going to put their I mean Vitali is a bit of a journeyman in the way that I don't think he's your fulltime option. You're not going to be able to trade for quality left tackle, they're very rarely available. And I don't know if you want to put a rookie there right away. But if you take him at number twenty five so Peters, I think more so than Jernigan they kind of they have a need for him to come back. Oh, jeez. Don't we have a top flight yet? Inexperienced and still learning left tackle injured milaoda. Yeah. But you want to put them out there. I mean, he hasn't taken NFL. What's your feeling on that? I mean, do they trust him enough? Will they trust him enough next year to actually play him?.

"It is. Speaking of the eagles. Let's just wine the gays here. Are you gonna start anybody on the eagles offense? Sweet jerks. Yeah. Besides hurts. I mean, like I'm getting point where like even alshon Jeffery in golden Tate. Neither of them. Parents can have a good game the same day Jeffrey at nine tar. Guit six catches yards touchdown last week. And golden Tate was basically shut out. Basically. My question is are you trusting anybody in the eagles offense other than Erz? I'm probably starting Tate or alshon. If I have them to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. I think if you have them there the second or third receive that you drafted and unless you had a nice waiver wire season, you're probably start in them. Yeah. And it's tough though, I got started either them over Josh Reynolds. Yeah. That's true. Is that a shot at my guy who's been directly at him? I probably believe a little more on tape and Jeffrey for this week. But I don't like either. An I definitely don't like either against the Rams honestly this is shuns first game with fifty yards touchdown since week seven. Yeah. It's one of those I feel like you've figured out a better option. I hope that goes your best receiver. So I've had I've had so just in one of my lease. I've had Jeffrey on the bench for like seven weeks. And I'm not taking him off the bench at this point. I do believe in not getting tricked by the one game. Like if somebody's been bad for five weeks. They have a great next week that doesn't mean anything like it's Derrick Henry sub tweeted ought to percents speaking reacting like if you've watched the eagles the last three weeks basically since the saints game. I don't think you can have a ton of confidence in any of these guys if you're hoping for like upside, I think Alison Jeffries the upside play like cut you touchdown Bennett. Like, you hope it gets a long touchdown. I am not confident any these. Honestly, they're not desperation. That's that's too much. Josh Adams to this list to. Yeah. Sadly, no, I'm with you guys though. I think overreacting in general is just probably a bad idea at the stage in the game. But they're certainly specific, you know, there's specific scenarios where you could change my mind, but in general, yeah. Last overreaction a question posed this morning by Riley Makati of the ringer dot com. Over action city saquon Barkley the number one overall pick and finishing next year. I thought that crazy right now I just wanted. Yeah. Sure, I'm probably goes girly and saquon. So that's the number two overall pick on no county is a little difficult. Then as still. I'm here pretty took saquon to in our league just lay there it is Jim coming and hot. That's great. Tim knows what he's doing true. That's all the time. We have worst of luxury UK best of luck to everyone. Hopefully, make the championships. Thank you. Thank you fulltime. Craig? Thank you, Jim. So you..

"The eagles a foreign five they come into town after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week and joining us on the line is deuce McAllister. Saints color analyst and former saints running back, deuce always a pleasure for me to have you come on the show. Really appreciate it. Are you doin- doing great doing great feel good about this week's game? But this still is a dangerous team in spite of some of the injuries they have. And I think everybody's kind of looking to see if Carson Wentz is ever going to have his total breakout game this season. Definitely a dangerous game. I mean until you. Emanate this team completely from the playoff pitcher or the playoff conversation. I mean, they still will be the sending. You're gonna have to beat them. Then regardless of who's out there as far as playing for him. You know that you're gonna get their best shot the best effort, so for the sake. You know, you have to look at it. Look, you know, this this team is still. Yes world champion. You know, we can't take them lightly. There seems to be a deuce a little guest disharmony in in the locker room right now. Jason how do you pronounce his last name the center Kelch? Kelsey Kelsey is talking about he thinks they're struggling because there's a lack of accountability people aren't stepping up and taking responsibility for the manner in which they're playing. That may be the Super Bowl hangover, and that may be I it's hard to repeat and it's hard to repeat in this league. For a lot of different reasons you have injuries that that will come into play. Sometimes you just have to be lucky to ball has about your way. And then a lot of times you have the guys that whether it's the coaches and or players that want to bask in that victory little bit. And you have other teams on the players that are getting ready for that following season. So there's a lot at goes into a lot of people call it that Hank Super Bowl hangover type of deal. I mean, just because it is so hard to repeat in this league. And so you know, that may be the case with him, but L for the saints. They can't really focus on that. Because they have to go out and worry about themselves and trying to execute for themselves. The eagles loss cornerback Ronald Darby. And obviously coming in here. This is not the time where you don't want to have a full complement of quarterbacks. Yeah. I would I would agree, you know, last week their top with Darby went down at ACL. They their their top three corners were down. They would not have them vailable. And really for that game. They side two guys that were on the practice squad to the active roster. And it looks like they're going to get one of their corners back possibly that would be sitting Jones. He's an outside guy. This is really a second year playing for me from university of Washington. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury. I don't think Jalen mills is gonna go. We'll we'll find out for. Sure. Late on today. He had practice last two days. He's dealing with a foot injury. And then obviously with Dr Ronald Darby out for sure within ACL of their top three corners day may only have one of them available. And that's just not a good recipe. When you talk about playing against drew Brees and the receivers and some of the things that they like to do. So it's going to be interesting to see how they try to attack the saints knowing that some of their. Players, you know, particularly in the summer back in our our kind of banged up. Obviously you would expect that we tried to exploit the youth in the backfield. I I would agree. I think also just trying to find mismatches, you know, just figuring out. How are they planning something because there's they can do two things they're gonna need to come after you. As far as pressure is concerned. They do have a really good front four already. But you know, when when you when you have so many young guys on the back end or new guys on the back end, you know, communication is critical for them. And they're on the road the saints can count hurt him with Anelka and kinda helped hurt him with shifts, motions, etc. And just finding the right match up. So the way that you can combat it is kind of pressure which is something they do a little a little bit of not alive or they can sit in zone and just try to make the saints have to drive the distance other feel and so it's gonna be interesting to see which approach they try to choose to attack reason the saints offense. It seems as though to me, and what limited knowledge I have dues because I love watching the play of tight end that this may be an opportunity for them to exploit Ben Watson and use him a lot more in this game. Maybe a possibility I could tell you Malcolm Jenkins would be the primary and either former Shane, obviously, he's been playing at a pro level for them. He's the primary guy to use a cover their tight ends. He's been dealing with a wrist injury. So for him. He's got a cast on his hand, or at least a soft cast on that hand. Not sure what he'll do this Sunday. But that's what he had the past week or so on that hand and primarily yes match matchup. You're going to get saints light that match up in certain situations. But you know, I think there may be a better match up that they're gonna find, you know, particularly with being, you know, you want him matched up against the linebackers where he can use his routes in his speed against those guys. So offensively for the eagles. What challenges are they going to present? For the saints defense. I think if they're off into line lane Johnson, it's been dealing with a knee injury. So he didn't play last week. He's supposed to possibly give it a go this week. There are other tackled Peters has been dealing with a kind of a shoulder elbow bicep injury. So he's playing really would want arm for them. They've got to be able to give Carson Wentz time. I mean and sold the saints can win some one on one situations. I think for them. Also, they haven't run went much. He's coming off of that ACO injury last year. And so they had so much success with the appeal the run play pass action up, and they still run a little bit of it. But the quarterback run really had been there. And also they lost the deer blind to free agency. And then they lost the starting running back j John he this year tonight nasc- L, so they'd been playing Corey Clemente. And Smallwood young guys the second year guys Darren sproles dealing with a hamstring. So he's not available. So for them the run. In game really hadn't been there a lot consistently. So teams have been able to pressure them. They have some outstanding weapons. You look at you know, Alison Jeffries, if you look at paid you look how they use urge they used their the second tidier Andrews they have been able to get the ball to him consistently any idea whether sproles will be back. He's always been one of my favorite players for whatever reason. And I just following. He won't go this week. So that's a weapon that they're going to be missed. All righty. Your crystal ball. Your prediction. William Saint you have to take care of the football. Saints has to be prepared for anything. That's onside kick that's fake. Punt that's going for it on fourth down. This is a desperate eagles team. So, but I do think the saints will pull this one out already score. No. I think the saints win by I think they win by anywhere between seven and ten. So I mean, I think it's it's going to be I think about ten points. But you I can see him only winning by touchdown as well. All righty, deuce. Thanks so much for joining us. And we'll be listening to you and Zach on Sunday for shore. No problem. Thank you for having me on those. Right. That's deuce McAllister. If you guys haven't listened to do since AC yet you need to because they added a real interesting dynamic to the game. And I at turn that TV down and turn the radio up every weekend, and we truly enjoy what they what they do and.

"Cold to all the emotional drivel. Jeffers parents enjoyed good standing at the community. Jeffries home life was far from perfect Vanessa's going to take over on the psychology here. And throughout the episode, please note, Vanessa is not a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist, but she has done a lot of research for the show. Thanks, Greg. Jeffrey described his mother Lois as cold and control. Trolling more worried about her appearance than her children's welfare. He claimed that quote, I always had to fight for affection. And my parents love was always conditional. It was always used as a reward and taken away as punishment. When I was inadequate lowest fits the standard profile of narcissistic parent seeing her children as an extension of herself rather than as Thomas creatures. She was highly concerned with how she was perceived. So she controlled her children's behavior to maintain a perfect public image. According to psychologist, Dr Eleanor Greenberg with the New York institute for gestalt therapy, children of narcissists frequently grew up to be narcissist themselves and though Jeffrey might not have done so consciously will later see him using the same techniques to control his followers that his mother used on him and Jeffries relationship with his father doesn't sound any more positive. No Jeffrey's father was a tough alpha male who liked to claim that. He had to earn everything he got and couldn't stand laziness and others. Jeffrey said, quote, no matter what I did. I never felt I was men enough for him. I always wanted and I love you. But what I got was male on male competition and quote, life at school didn't provide much of a reprieve for Jeffrey. He had a couple of friends, but was generally awkward around his peers and wasn't popular a classmate of his recall that quote, you felt sorry for him until you started talking to him, then he realized that he was air against no one really liked him and quote, nevertheless, Jeffrey set his mind to bulking up perhaps to impress his father and by his senior year, he was strong enough, let it enough to play shortstop for the baseball team after high school. Jeffrey attended central Missouri state university located in Warren's Burg Missouri. The school is secular but had a large number Mormon. Students says it's located just an hour from independence where Smith for told Christ would reappear. A two story house bordering. The campus had even been renovated by the LDS church and made into a student union. That's where Jeffrey met his future wife. Alice Keeler when she was still a senior in high school and visiting a friend on campus, she can remember exactly what he looked like the first time she saw him. She said, quote, he was dressed in a neatly pressed, white short sleeved shirt with tiny, thin, blue and yellow pinstripes. He was also wearing Brown penny loafers and no socks. Can you believe it? He wasn't wearing any socks and quote, despite Alice's shock over Jeffrey's fashion choices. She was immediately interested in him even when she later heard from another young woman that Jeffrey had taken her out on a date, only drunk and try to take advantage of her. Alice remained convinced that Geoffrey was the one for her Jeffries. Sexual aggression may be an early sign of his narcissistic personality. Narcissist believe normal rules don't apply to them and they're entitled. To take what they want. In this case, Jeffrey felt entitled to a woman's body the next year when l. started as a freshman at central Missouri. She ran into Jeffrey again in some ways. Jeffrey was still as awkward as he was in high school. And one of his friends had ask Allison out on a date for him. Now let's accepted and the two went on a day to a friend's picnic around a campfire on the night of the picnic, they discuss their lives telling each other about their pasts. Unlike Jeffrey Alice came from a poor family and had low self esteem, but still they hit it off sharing a background in the early church and perhaps a conviction that they were both special meant for something greater. Even though Alice had grown up poor, she was incredibly spoiled by her family. Her sister recalled about her quote. Alice always wanted to be the center of attention. She loved being in the spotlight and at church. She was on center stage and quote. Alice was a true believer in the teachings of the. LDS church. She even believed that she had an encounter as a teenager with the devil which left her momentarily paralyzed. It wasn't until she called out Christ's name that she was able to move. Again when she recounted her ordeal at church, her bout with the devil only made her more liked and respected. One of the churches elders even told Alice that God had given him a message about her future husband. He said, quote, you shall marry a companion whom I have prepared to bring forth my kingdom and he shall be great in the eyes of these people and shall do much good unto the children of men for I have prepared him to bring forth a marvelous work and wonder and quote, two hours. This message was an extension of Joseph Smith's eighteen thirty four prophecy. Her future husband would be the Moses like prophet that would help usher in the second coming of Christ. Her sister was more skeptical about Alice's claims saying, quote, I'm not certain Alice knows sometimes the difference. Between the truth and lies. Alice's always been able to convince yourself that whatever she wants to believe is the truth and nothing else matters. She was that way about religion and that way about her life and quote the night of Alison Jeffries. I state Jeffrey didn't show the propensity toward violence that Alice's friend had observed. Instead, he walked to her door and asked her if he could give her a kiss. Goodnight. She said, yes, later that night alone in her dorm room, Alice was convinced that not only was Jeffrey, the man she'd marry. He was also the profit that Joseph Smith had foretold. Jeffrey was Justice. Mitten with Alice says she was with him, perhaps obsessively so, but Alliston seem to mind even just the first week of dating. His romantic overtures were already mixed with controlling instructions. He would shower her with roses, an escort her to and from class. But he would also tell her when to sleep and what to wear behavior that might have made other women. And feel threatened only made Alice feel special once in a freshman chemistry class, Alison. Jeffrey spying on her through window just staring at her. Nevertheless, Alice said, quote, he's fascinating. He's handsome. He's at letting he's everything that I have ever thought the perfect man should be. And he is crazy about me and quote Ellis was right about Jeffrey feelings just one week after their first date. Jeffrey asked Alice to marry him telling her he was already in love with her. Jeffries obsession with Alice could be traced back to his insecure attachment to his parents. According to psychologist, Dr Lisa, Firestone director of research and education at the Glendon association. An insecure attachment occurs when a child doesn't feel safe with narcissistic parents because of their emotional abuse. As a result, the child can develop an anxious attachment with other people later in life with an anxious attachment. The person is trying to. Fulfil the connection he never had with his parents. Of course, the person will never truly find that fulfillment leading him to pursue it more obsessively and aggressively after their engagement, Jeffrey immediately pressured Alice into having sex with him. Even though in the RL DS church, you're not supposed to have sex until marriage. Alice wanted to please Jeffrey. So she agreed despite her feelings of shame, Alice felt that quote to him, it was a sign that I loved him, and I wanted him to love me and quote, but their marriage was by no means sure thing. Alice was only eighteen and Jeffrey was nineteen and Missouri in nineteen sixty nine. That meant that by law Jeffrey needed his parents permission, Jeffrey knew that his parents would like Alice due to her family's poverty and
