"We'll take the next question from Alice Alice, please identify yourself, and then proceed with your question. Hi Alice Tepper Marlin. Retired now but you do hit up an founded Social Accountability International. I'm fascinated by all of your ideas and opportunities for the new normal. And have two kinds of questions about possibilities for that. One has to do with obesity. One of the things we learned recently covid nineteen is said the under one of the underlying condition is most linked to the likelihood of receiving it in the severity. The death break is obesity. So of course, we know that's the case with other diseases as well. But this is a learning opportunity in a real opportunity to change things what to all of you think we could do in the education system in food provisions and in the regulatory and leadership role of government to reduce obesity among our children as well as our adults. I, Alice thank you Howard. I think that one goes to you. So so I I appreciate that question because you are absolutely correct obesity is something which not only was a. Problem prior to the pandemic but I do notice that that was one of the major morbid conditions that caused the problems particularly increased among among those who. Developed a corona. Virus. We have an estate. I'll talk a little bit about what we're doing in the state. We worked very hard on the issues of obesity as part of our provincial agenda, and we were trying to tackle this multiple fronts education at nutrition Decreased amount of of s Fuda that's available to a two two children, more information children and adults, but it also goes back to what we were speaking about before this health equity issue because. All sort of tied together they ended up. Swimming the same someone was ends up with they're unable they can't afford a food end up going to getting a fast food is something she it's not nutritious the end up with obesity van that with multiple medical conditions. A sick they end up not getting to class and then they're the education suffers. So we are tackling this from from multiple fronts in the state but I think that more information about this helpful I think when it comes to this issue about the pandemic be when when this is over and we started dressing some of these things, list out all the public health challenges that we face and highlight this and highlight them and highlight this issue out how obesity contributed to yet another problem until the other problems that we've seen all children and adults. So I actually that question I think we will tell. Now. Just a a practical piece from a school standpoint because the issue of health equity we see every day. A part of it is making sure our. Students children in our schools have access to a place to recreate. It Los Angeles is under park compared to many big sprawling urban communities, and for most students we serve the park is actually during the week called Fielder.

First I Met My Children, Then My Girlfriend... They're Related.
"Didn't meet my girlfriend Jessica until twelve years years after our daughter Alice was born. Let me explain nearly twenty five years ago. I returned from a year of teaching English abroad moved in with my mother and Dan lacking prospects began driving a cab one day I saw newspaper ad seeking healthy men eighteen to thirty five to participate in a seaman donation program program. Donors is the standard industry word yet. Virtually all of us are paid forty dollars. A pop is what I received in Nineteen ninety-four I applied to sell my sperm and sold twice weekly for a year at the time I was in a long distance relationship so the seemed like a good outlet when I told my mother other she presciently wondered aloud. If this was the only way she was going to have grandchildren today sperm buyers view detailed profiles for potential vendors whereas I wasn't asked to provide much beyond college major hobbies and Family Health History Jessica and her partner at the time chose me primarily because I was a the writer and musician after a year of selling my sperm I went back to giving it away and largely forgot about the whole thing occasionally the subject objective whether I had children would come up and make a joke about probably having a bunch I had signed a nondisclosure waiver in assumed there would never be away from my progeny in me to find nine one another then the Internet happened in the early two thousands. I searched online for a way to find my offspring and discovered the donor sibling registry. I didn't see any leads there and never got around to checking back. I had looked way too early my project. He began to use the site to find each each other when they became teenagers. In the twenty tens a couple of years ago began seeing ads for twenty three and me a service that analyzes your saliva spit in a test tube and mail it off for analysis and provides you with information about ancestry health and DNA gives the opportunity was obvious but I I assumed the odds of finding my children were low. I procrastinated for months before curiosity and urged to know them made me order a kit mm-hmm. I got my results back and boom. I had a son Bryce. His full name was unusual enough that I- easily googled him and the picture churn resembled me enough that I felt confident this senior geography major was mine mine guessing he had been notified of my existence by twenty three and me. I mold for a week before finally putting fingers to keyboard dear bryce. I wrote I recently joined twenty three and me and found you listed as my son son so I believe myself to be your biological father. I hope may existence isn't a shock and wonder whether you joined in the hopes of connecting with me. My letter letter continued awkwardly from they're giving him a brief sketch of my life. Bryce replied almost instantly dad. I cannot express how excited I am to be hearing ring from you. I did join twenty three and me hoping that you would have already done so and was upset to see you. Hadn't this is amazing though and I'm so happy I'm one of six of of your children that I'm aware of and in contact with I'm twenty years old and live on Long Island but I'm studying in upstate New York. Dad I was briefly concerned. That bryce might have some fatherly expectations of being show up on my doorstep but my worries were unfounded. It's it's a brave new world and we're all struggling with the terminology more important six children yikes. I did some Napkin. Math based on the number of samples provided the odds of conception and estimated that I may have as many as sixty seven children bryce connected me with Madeline nineteen upon viewing her facebook page. I had my first parental thought ever. My daughter should put some more clothes on. I may be biased but I found my children to to be ridiculously attractive. I felt a sudden need to share their photos with all the ex girlfriends who chose not to marry procreate with me a few months later a new. DNA relative appeared on twenty three and me Alice age eleven her mother. Jessica wrote me a note. She and her performer partner had each given birth to one daughter conceived with my spur. They broke up years ago but had been raising both girls together until recently. When the other mother moved away away with the daughter she'd given birth to Justin I began to chat online. She knew a lot about buying sperm and self impregnating which was fascinating for meat alert as it turns out. It was more difficult than my role masturbating in Newark. She also no longer identified as lesbian in and was dating a man who incredibly had my same first and middle names Aaron David with a similar mono-syllabic last name. Had there been a mix up at the bureau. Eero boyfriends was either one who was supposed to be dating her. My children and I exchanged written biographies. Braces showed me how little I know of a young adult culture and reminded me that wants twenties are difficult to decade. matty's revealed a keen understanding of her upbringing in the parts of it. She would like to break week from but it was alice's entitled a series of Awkward Events separated by snacks that floored me her biography. A fee was a hodgepodge of lists and memories written under duress mom right or death favorite color black like my soul all favorite holiday Halloween because candy and murder. She liked Alfred Hitchcock films. Basically she wrote. I'm an angsty exte- teen in a child's body. This kid's eleven a plan developed for Bryce and Matty to come to Seattle for a couple of weeks in in the summer. Jess and Alison lived a few hours south and would drive up. I figured meeting my children was going to be the closest thing I ever have to a wedding. So I decided to host host a party I had told my news to a few people but most learned of it from the meet my kids party facebook invitation featuring photos of Bryce Mattie and Alice Alice the shock value was high genetics. Good luck or force of circumstance. I loved my children right away. They haven't uncanny any aura of Minas. Bryce is shy but sharp and obsessed with memes in a way I might have been had. I grown up gency. Alice has little use for adults colts as I still don't Mattie especially has my sense of humor and is locking gazes with her my brain explode but then we laugh at the party we played a nature versus nurture question and answer game and discovered we were all quite liberal and that none of us believed in God awed none of them however sleeps with a pillow between their knees as I have long done the first time Justin I found ourselves alone. We hugged at length in a way entirely inappropriate for people who had just met just says I have mannerisms that remind her of both her daughters and thus felt instantly comfortable with me aw whether we were pawns of fate or unwitting participants in a Chromosomal e arranged marriage Jessica quickly bonded. I deployed my bureau of boyfriends mix up line to a grudging but sweet reception during the vacation she and I easily fell into the mom and dad role for Bryce Mattie and Alice Alice. We soon had jokes and tease each other about our foibles just like any family. I even gave Bryce and Mattia lecture about smoking at the end of the visit. Bryce somehow managed to get jess analysis kicked out of the House. They were renting by climbing onto the roof to retrieve toy so I invited them to stay with me. Meanwhile they figured things out. What just soon figured out was that she wanted to keep staying with me. Alice roller is as if she'd been tricked into a traditional family arrangement while twenty-three in me is not generally considered a dating site Justin. I are grateful to the technology that has made our backward formed relationship relationship possible. We have a lot of questions about love and genetics and whether we would have felt this connection had we met in a more conventional way. Our Bond has survived live the how cool is this face. We still enjoy cyber monitoring my other progeny and speculating about how many more me emerge I'm up to ten now. I've had some contact act with the new ones mothers but haven't made plans to meet yet. Mattie liked the west coast and us and recently moved into our place. We're hoping to lure bryce back to

"And having the white rabbit is kind of like this ongoing thing for for me i ha i on a daily basis when i'm creating tell myself like it's not about the rabbit like i want to finish but stop being distracted by the stupid rabbit over there there you know and i do the same thing the same thing with editing like it's not about how great i want this to look. Just focuses wear them right now. Yeah right now end result will be e- exactly what you intend if you're focusing on what you're doing right now instead of worrying about the end it helps you evolve what the end will look like yeah and i mean especially when you're planning running and and i don't know how it works exactly for editing sound and stuff but at least for my process if i'm trusting the process and i have the india and i have the the goal in mind. I should not have to worry about whether the idea is there or whether i need to keep chasing something new because it's such a temptation to go well. I have this plan so even though i'm super committed to my own process and i know that it works inevitably i will see something and go. Oh oh but this would be really cool if if i did this but i'm already doing this thing and it's great and it's gonna work and i know it's going to work. Don't follow don't don't don't climb off the tree and go down the rabbit hole so i think if anything i would just so's alice just a distracted mess or is like is it good. Are we talking about alice everything about me talking about alice alice as a picture of the the creative i think this she's curious and undeveloped under yeah unfocused curiosity and which can be good thing to a point because i think being endlessly endlessly creative and this is something that somebody that kenny really loves adam savage changed from mythbusters. <hes> being being creative to the point that you are never satisfied is dangerous well. I think it's good if you're always curious. I say creative. I'm curious creative. Yes so so curious being and the sleek curious it will make your work evolve and grow and it will make you evolve and grow because i mean if i just sat back and said i've been lots of really cool places. I've got lots of pictures and really cool inspiration sitting in my phone and in folders and books on my bookshelf <hes>. I don't only to learn about anything else like i have enough here. Yikes then. It's gonna get stale. That scares me for anyone in any line of work but it happens yeah. I know it's tough yes because they're forgetting about the journey like whatever brought you to even even where you are like your journey to get here has has been so many different things and you. You wouldn't actually even have the ideas about what you do. Now hadn't been for the journey getting you here yeah <hes> so and we've had very different paths but because we've both been curious and i've been curious about learning different things that can add to my design and you've been curious about different kinds of jobs and we've both been able to like a five in me embrace yeah. All the jobs jobs isn't it. This is seven five life okay well seven and five but five and the cure in i've always it's funny because <hes> vibes are very curious curious and like your husband is like a master skill oakland irs kind of what he does like titled himself and i've always been i've always thought i want to have as many jobs as possible in these a little bit about every yeah i wanna wanna be an expert in one thing. I don't know i don't care. I just wanna live life and be free but like i wanna work at a chocolate quick factory a chocolate like little shop or something. I want to know how to temper chocolate. I don't know how to do that. I learned how to do that without being your job but i wanted to be a job okay. I wanna smell chocolate doc wallet. You want it to be on your day. Chuck here chocolate here. I want to decorate pretty strawberries and it just sounds like fun..

They're calling this a suicide surcharge that's going to ruin their industry that lawsuit can keep going, but the surcharges can go into effect now. But the governor hasn't said no one has said exactly when the surcharges are going to go into effect. So maybe that's why we didn't hear as much about it. The other thing is there are conflicting reports in the New York Post. They there's an article over told the post that customers are going to feel a pinch beginning today that they're paying more their rates are going up because they're trying to pay for the minimum wage. And so they're gonna feel that today. So we're. Not going to feel the congestion pricing today on Uber. But we will feel the minimum wage phase on Uber. But taxis are the same for now. So maybe that's why we're we're kind of putting it under the rock until we have more concrete evidence. As to exactly what's going on. Fares are going up congestion, surcharge. Whether suicide suicide surcharge is going to go into effect happened of app based vehicles Gruber, we'll pay two seventy five increase raising the base there at ten seventy five taxi base fare is going up to five eighty and I found one guy who's okay with that. But somebody said this an Indonesian perspective on leading comments about a number of things about her. But I want to comment on this English accent is so frigging fake. I can't stand to listen to her private interviews growing up Indonesia's tend to speak English with an American accent and Indonesian intonation, and it's super rare CNN. Region with a British accent. And the dead giveaways of the fact that like you said her parents, nor her sister have that accent? So it doesn't really make any sense. My leader would be the only one who has that. Right. If it's one of those things where it like, oh, she had moved to the to the UK. And was there for like three years, then I buy it because I pick up accidents real quick. But it's because it's selective words it really does not seem genuine and it just proper daughter go. He's yet God. And then. Okay. So her sister, we've discussed she's the worst. She's really not great. But then like the dad seemed common Nuys the mom seemed calm. The brother just looked like the jolly giant is nice and friendlier just like chain smoke it in the background. Chilin her son, just poor son. Like, the many moment, we've seen her being a shouting match with somebody and we see a shot of her son in the background playing games in Chilin. Like, I want this kid's like composure this kid was clearly just focused on video games or someone else because they were not fazed by anything going on in the back. What's that kid's name Alice Alice Alice, Alice Allesandra? Yes. Yeah. I he seems I mean, I guess he's only five seems relatively well. Adjust. On five just the beginning. Yeah. I know pork head. Oh my goodness. I okay. So I think we really have to get into everything with tasha March with them. Oh my God. Yeah. Definitely way before we get into tasha. Can we give the backstory of why the tasha leader relationship comes off contentious to start a patient? So as you said they drive to New York. So along the way, so they first leader shows up with her sister and her son, and then they drive to I think it was New York they do a sightseeing, then they drive back to pick up the parents, and then they drive back again. But in the midst of all this finally, Eric takes leader to show her the house where his apartment where they're going to be living..
