"Being full. So there was New Mexico, you're up our down to Mexico and stuff just. Right. Mountains. Guinea on Nature Inc.. Yeah, that week I was gone between the two as side episodes at dig I spent a five of the six days outside. So yes, it's glorious to get outside now and then but as no one wants to hear about vacations, they WanNa talk about fist-fighting anything else they wanNA talk about maybe we'll talk about basketball baseball probably not because no one cares no baseball in two thousand twenty actually doesn't even exist in case he's a big Fan Matt is not so maybe they'll be a fight but. As you know this is not our podcast, your podcast. You can house quest on twitter site youtube comments. We might even go a little longer to make up for last week who knows but Casey, what is our first? Yes Jessica Chris crew. Thanks to reminding me. I actually want to shot at the end of the PODCAST, but we'll wait so. Why don't we got? Verse Question? This is actually a question we got from two weeks ago when. I think and then everything crashed but. We'll answer again from M. G. Two, K. Twenty on twitter. Can Woodley still be considered? One of the best welterweight of all time having lost his last ten rounds also have seen Dana as guns lately do think he passing Persada test So yes, we answer this question briefly last week, but I think you to. Destroy. I I don't think so mad I'll start with you since we saw you last time. Can we still consider time Woodley one of the greatest welterweight of all time? Well, I guess I will give the same answer I tried to get less. Okay. I'll. I'll. Here we go. it depends on what happens in what two and a half weeks time with the Kobe coming invite to still be considered in that conversation in conversation I mean that. Top three that top two or three. So he still top five all time easily in my opinion because of that run that he was on. But if he goes out there and redeems himself with a nice dominant win over Kobe Covington, and then whatever he does from that going forward if he gets another one after that. Yeah, you gotTa keep him in that conversation. But if he goes out there and loses at especially if he loses his. Five rounds to be Covington then yeah you gotta gotTa. Diminishes legacy a little bit for losing his last three fights dominantly can't go out there and get lax like that. Especially when the start of that is losing your title. Yeah I. Think the the fact that this twitter users saying it's added he's lost ten rounds in a row sound like you had backed back via the night. It's not like he got had back back split decisions. He's lost fifty minutes fighting in a row inside the octagon which yeah, maybe he went around or two, but I didn't score any of those rounds for him I. Think he got up by WHO's got swept by Burns looked like he was in a dear dear and the headlights against Gilbert Burns and those were more than a year apart. So it's not like he had. Anything in between. So the last two fight scene of time Woodley, he's around Casey, can we still consider time? Woodley. One of the greatest welterweight of all time. Yeah absolutely. As I absolutely. Yeah. He's lost ten rounds on-road but. I mean has even as as he walked Z. But those round he's still walked out of the cage track find it wasn't like it wasn't like he was just getting ten eighty these rounds or at least with just pure like just punishment he just looked like. He was I mean. Time me he's what he's thirty seven, thirty eight now. Made that so he's Just, mean unfortunately, just father time got him I think he just passes I think his prime I think he's still a top ten waterway but as far as what best of all time yeah you have to. Look at when when as prime was and his championship run even counting his strikeforce fights were were incredible. You know I think minus mark. Knockout you know. The only guy to finish oh? Sorry Mark I'm sorry. LAWLOR. lawler. Yeah. No no, he beat London. Inaugural. Lilia yeah. I was thinking but who is not outwardly? Just. I. Think the only one I can think of is really mark art. Yeah. So it's all his losses are have been kind kind kinda like. kind of fights you know outside the Martin were one but now I think that's I. think it's kind of silly to. Say that Willey isn't one of the our time grades it was way. He's not at its prime anymore, but you know can can be there forever. That's all. Yeah. He's only lost by stoppage. Once since other stoppages, his other laws are to jake feels split Roy McDonald which she got absolutely dominated. NBA. Vancouver and then who's been burnt. So again, he's not losing a bums. He's losing to the best of the best and knocking out like he submitted Tilles Kale lawler Kelly gasoline into a split decision I actually don't think thousands think tire willie should deserve the United Sison that. But I see the argument there DASCOMB also came in like eight pounds heavy or something like that. That was the super bowl weekend or was it that the DSL I can't remember but right now in my opinion, the argument for Woodley is is he'd second best is between him and Matt us right now I think. We, all agree that GSP's grades welterweight of all time I think Thai was on his way to reaching that if he didn't lose men so badly but it's between Woodley and Matt. Hughes. I don't have an whoever's not second stirred and then it was meant is right there because again who's meant is sneakily piling up pretty impressive UC resume, and then as we've had a million questions this past seven days apparently Neil Magny has to be considered tops and welterweight of all time because he's like three to three wins away from being the all time winningest welterweight in UFC history but let's have that conversation. F It was Kinda weird saying that not. Like he's got statistically, yes he has lots of wins. Alleged them people positive. Yeah. Yeah. And then Matt have you seen Danaids guns lately I have I have seen them tell me more in detail. Yeah they're. They're very a very swollen. Almost almost unnatural like. I think he's on that Matt Serra Di Right now that right let me in his diet that Matt Serra Joe Rogan Diet if you know what? I mean for sure for sure for sure I mean look Dan has always been a little bit big cover. What was that men's whatever? Yeah. He stays in the gym. He's got around him. He's got gyms around. Anyway. He Looks Cover Men's health wearing a shirt. Come up man if you're going to be on meds south at leash off the pythons, you remember that photo of whom like this big photos of them on the beach with Ali Ryan, Bater and my..

"Some of that with some some guys that we got listed through the NHL guys recommended digs interviews. And try to you know trying to weed out guys and try to find him jam so I was negligent way with that. Obviously so I didn't know what do but being able to sit with moons ago through the questionnaires I did a couple phone by myself and So it was a great learning experience but then get getting tossed into that hockey side. It really kind of brought back some Some excitement from US also that leads to be able to kind of dabble on both sides of the departments there with the wild that I've enjoyed it higher and billy guaranteeing grade. We've really had a great relationship prior to this though working together so we try to chat every day. Try to see what the plan is. The GAME PLAN IS GONNA look coming out of this this delay here that abso. It's been fun. I've enjoyed it so hopefully that can. I just saw something online. You're doing a thing with NHL Twenty tonight. Can you play video games? Are you know just I am awful? I haven't played a home game since probably a Tari CLICO vision back in your small demand. Space invaders breakout. That's all I got other than that the fortnight thing and everything that's going on in the the mad and the sports. I have no idea how to work that that control pad no idea. Well I we play every night with the kids and so at the end put your possession stats and the kids are like eighty two percent. I'm six I'm like. I never had the PUCK. Excuse me over all the time. What the Hell's and I'm on. I'm the voice for you think I know how to do it again. What what's going on? I know there's no chance. Hopefully my kids won't get into it because they'll be glued to that all day long. Those old good luck you're on your in that. There's no way to stop one of a big playstation or xbox. I know I'm in trouble. Mike will give you a little bit more time to practice before you Kick in the video game. Look really appreciate you doing this We know that you're trying to do your best. You're busy at all and hopefully will be in touch in the near future again talking about the game being back on the ice anytime that gives me a break with you guys. I'll take it so. I'm reading whenever you want whenever you need Alabama Mall. Thanks for your time guys knocking. Jake be well. I mean might. Madonna looks pretty chill right. I mean he's nicely quaffed. He wisely took a rate down to the. Woody seems reasonably relaxed which is hard for a guy as we started the discussion. You know. He's got four kids age of six and under. I mean this guy isn't necessarily God loves children living the dream and self-isolation hat. No but a couple things one is in. Scottsdale so the weather's fantastic to. He's never been the type that seems like he's going to have a heart attack. He's always kind of pretty smooth and stable and The the balance would be those four rugrats who that is a lot that is alluding twins by the way right. Yeah the twins. He said they're six so at least there at the operator end of the scale. I always get a kick because it's not me gas but a people that have like a four year old and a two year old and they go. Oh you know. We'll have one more and then Bam they have twins. Could you imagine wins at the tail end of the chain? Aw Man now we could have talked about a bazillion different things with me. I mean he's just one of those guys that you can have a long conversation with near the end of it. I almost brought it up and I you know what we've kept them for almost thirty minutes. We better land this thing but came to mind nine hundred ninety four right when Mark Messier. It clipped them with the shoulder. Nakimora cold on the I doubt very scary incident by today's standards mess Even though he was beloved at that point is NHL career still would have been suspended today. By what ten fifty nine. That would have been big that that would have been big but if and again for our younger listeners Google it messy a shoulder to the head on McDonnell and there is a turn of events a sequence of events that unless you see it it's hard to believe and I say drinks I was just GonNa say don't just watch the hit now because it's worse it gets way worse an I'm Sarah Myself. For Not bringing it up. I just illustrate he's being stretchered off loaded into the ambulance and he's he's also when you say stretchered he's tied onto the stretcher. Yeah he's belted in. He can't raise his arms and try and brace himself and accidentally the ambulance attendants the carriers of the scripture. They're loading of drop the scripture and on its side so he sqoic down now thankfully. I don't know that he actually made it all the way down to the concrete. He should certainly didn't look like he hit his head again. But for a guy who was unconscious on the ice I mean. It's hard to envision a worse case scenario than what unfolded there. While you know what's crazy about that is so those ambulance attendants they're there every game and certainly that's their job. It's not like they're just a couple of guys from the rink and they botched this thing so badly like something obviously happened with the mechanism of the stretcher. Sit because what it turned sideways. It's like they didn't know what to do with it and Bam. It's on the ground. And then they just pitch them in the back of the ambulance and drive away like that was one of the craziest things to look at. Well I mean the two things that you asked Mike. Bananal about in general interview one is being stalled at fourteen hundred ninety nine regular season games back socks and and so we got to that he still as you identified asking the question. He's still pissed and I get it. I think we all would be. That's I mean he's in the hall of fame. That's the baker thing right right but like you can't you can't hear somebody says hey. How many games did you play? He can't save fifteen hundred now and I would like you said it's still sticks in his car and and I get it I. It would be impossible to to let that go. All he does is one less than fifteen hundred. That's what he should say. You're right Ali Ryan Komo. Thanks to Mike McDonald for joining us on. Rain drags it's time for. Ask Great androids anything and well. I don't know I guess you could see it if you're watching this but you're not probably you're listening. I've got lots of questions and we'd collected like we went out of our way this week. Not only be questioned submitted on on twitter but also on INSTAGRAM RAINDROPS DOT com. I mean all channels. All platforms have been covered. So are you ready? Sure as long as there's no math questions no while there might be. But let's let's start with a softball. I gray what was your favorite and your least favorite city on. The road is a player. I loved going to Montreal. I just I love the restaurants. I loved the FI. I like the European way I guess a little bit a loved before and then of course it was the bell centre but I just loved going to Montreal. That was by by far my my favorite place and I I would say my worst or least favourite was to go to Raleigh and the reason is because we used to stay in a hotel. There was basically across the street and so like Europe by the university campus and I didn't even know. Raleigh was a city. I thought it was just like a rake in the hotel so I hated going there because there was nothing to do. Then I find out. Oh no there's an actual city here. It's awesome but at the time I didn't know so I would have picked Raleigh out. Okay this question is actually for both of us. And I don't know that you even have an example of this Ryan is asking. What's your most memorable mess up on live TV and mine is absolute no brainer. It was the NHL draft when tsn still at the draft. And I'm on the floor James Dot these one of the hosts James Dot the throws to me and we're like a minute into the broadcast a minute so I'm supposed to set the scene on some of the trade speculation. Here's what could happen here. The teams that are talking all of that stuff. James throws down to me and I get a frog in my throat. Like read seconds into this. And you've been around me a lot. It's not come. I clear my throat I. I'm always doing something and I feel as I'm trying to. Will this thing out? I can feel my throat closing and I got to.

"In the devil's lead the Rangers by a score of five to two the Rangers having won two of the three previous meetings devils trying to even the season series in the final game played between these two teams this season and in the process will put a dent in the Rangers playoff hopes they've been on a tear lately but they find themselves three points out of a playoff berth right now in a loss here at home would certainly hurt their chances but we've got twenty more minutes to go we'll see with the devils can do and we'll see what kind of a push we expect they'll be a big one from the New York Rangers the devils getting goals tonight from Kyle palmeri to pretty place in Travis a Jack John Hayden also scoring the devils have scored the last for the Turner to one deficit entering the second period into a five two lead well cam Janssen had a nine year career in the National Hockey League pretty much split between the devils and his home town team the St Louis blues spent five years with the devils five oh six two oh six oh seven then was traded for Bryce Salvador came back to the devils for two thousand eleven two thousand twelve season and wrap things up with New Jersey in the twenty thirteen to twenty fourteen season counting preseason and postseason with both teams yet a hundred and seventy one fighting majors it was a different era recently for devils podcast I had a chance to sit down with the former devils forward and I asked him about some of his memorable fights I'll give you the big one I am a member when I was young my first stint with the doubles and we're playing trial in A. D. it goes to the D. mark Calverley gets it and I hooked up the book how you meant it cab cabs gets it and I I had a real hard mirror that knocked him out in those and they were really good that year the card can hurt their playoff chances trump hating me they hate me known anything that came actually call Julian playing the rest of the game that's that's not the only for him play me just out of respect I completely understand that two weeks ago by trying to medias on me so hard looted no how's gonna handle it like he did I mean the young kid it's a different kind of things like the Marty or anything but but it was it is my own little thing in and we were so supportive of it and then we go finally go back in Toronto and Lou comes out and says Amigos school do your thing because he knows B. lack and whoever's on the team's gonna come at me so this stuff is so funny the guys are they know I'm so stressed out about this game we go out for warm ups and I was the first guy to go out I go out there and they all stop and make me skater on warm ups like it's you know your first game that you do that what they did that with trying to select fans of being up it was funny and I went out there in the first shift I hit somebody with in the next shift they all point to be lacked the light comes on the ice and we go toe to toe sooner rice yeah I heard one of the best players whether they're veteran guys in their big Big Boy Wade Belak rest in peace love you man he comes out and I treat punch with him for two and a half minutes I thought I was actually standing at the in the fight he was down and we're looking at the bench and they were going crazy you know it just in lieu because of we have towards us yeah dad good kid and I played it right and I mean I just I sucked it up and I did my thing and we you know I don't we won the game and I don't remember but I did what I was supposed to do it was all over it was all over who's done don't you're pretty more it wouldn't the more stress a you thought the Big Boy you pay the Piper you did well in is it and I I think that would kind of like I don't know just kind of brought me up I'm not should not just in the league but with with the organizational over to like a vehicle hit guys like that he's a step up to the plate and can defend himself so no one else has to do with it you know I mean like if I would like to screw you be looking to no okay then he's gonna go be a passcode you know you know how the game goes so I think that kind of guy I catapulted my I don't know I I I guess my and I'm thinking of the word here but credibility how's that and on the state because that's the code that was in place at that time now and we and we'll talk about that as time went on by the way you might have heard camp say hi to somebody is C. was walking by I'm not even sure if the radio you know how it goes as much as I want to say hi to of course but what I'm saying is with haven't seen is the ways because most of the time he's been waving at people got to know he hears are sitting here they're like Hey there it's it's Kim Jensen all up so I love it I love it it just gives an indication of of your popularity here in the city I thought you might have mentioned the Pierre Luc return a live off like sequence so long I do appreciate why you mention the B. like fight as number one so I won't get into why that didn't get brought up but I do have to ask about the line brawls Rangers devils Dallas you have your reasons and they're great reasons for why that fight stands out but man I get chills watching watching that that light there were two but I love the one with Tortorella and Pete and they're going back and forth to each other and P. divorces afterward because torts was upset that you that you know he put his fourth line fighters out and he goes well he's either got short term memory walks there is a liar because earlier in the season they did the same thing at that that that the prudential center in that awesome if you were like me would happen what how did this all come about I'll tell you how it came about rugby and I'm sorry Boulton night Hussein Ali Ryan Carter that's right because we put sorry gets confusing because reviews are team at my club but he was on the Rangers this time so we're in the locker room do you think it's like I was pregnant try to fight guys and anyway but we never thought of having a brawl and also in we had to put our lineup in first so Pete's like you know what I'm gonna play them and we saw that they put their line up it's all right before we went right before when on the ice give me just right before nothing we can talk about anything we I look at bolts now your cars ago let's go these guys this is stretchered off item he's again let's do that okay let's go if we go on their warm ups but what we going to center ice I go to rub your welcome and I know him I whack on the ankle Hey let's go he's like I'm not fighting you okay hold switch with me we switching trains I go to proceed by Brenda press who I thought since juniors I let's go is like okay and I looked over I go we're going you guys going to so rookies like okay fine in the carts fights big goal it just it just it we if it was if we were thinking of it going into New York what were the last two the only time we even brought it up was were honestly walking on the ice for the game nine warm ups for the game and we're like guess is all fight together and that's what happened and I'll tell you the one guy who didn't like it right beside small on our team at least was Marty you know why not because you got warmed up and also he had to sit for thirty five minutes he's like don't you ever do that to me again I was pulled my growing fourteen times I came well I still chuckle at that story it is easy to see S. sticker what cam Janssen part of error devils podcast series that's the most recent one you can hear it done on New Jersey Devils dot com or wherever you get your podcasts stitcher tumblr iTunes X. cetera and he tells a lot of stories any such an outgoing great personality and that's why he was so popular both with the devils and in Saint Louis and we'll hear more as the series rolls on this season we've had a chance to sit down with some different personalities over the last couple of weeks and they'll be coming your way very shortly so we are in the second intermission this is the devil's intermission report presented by investors bank the official bank of the New Jersey Devils in the devils have a five two lead over the New York Rangers Kyle palmeri with two tonight Freddie Cleese in his first of the season John Hayden is third in Travis a Jack his eighth goal of the year and the devils lead by three after two we'll take a time out will come back with more you're listening to the devils hockey network nothing cranks up the excitement of a doubles game Mike see separate dental center and nothing gets you in like.

"Johnson Alley Brazell Tyson. That's what it's always been about. Joe Louis Lennox Lewis Lennox Lewis. Yes Yup the heavyweight division and we got to Super Super duper heavyweight in their prime fighting. This is not a fight where they're going to be forty years old man if they default like seven eight years ago. This is a great by. We getting them in their prime. Now you look at these two fighters Tyson. Fear is the more technical the more south boxer. He is a boxer. He can put punches together. Like it for man his size gift. I didn't realize that big until I started reading up on it. He's six foot nine. Six hundred fifty says he's going to wait to seventy Harvard. Not The way to seventy six. That's got and then you look and you look at Deontay wilder guy picked up the boxing. A nineteen so skipped. He's not technically sound. He's not a pure boxer per sale but he has done a Mike. And that's what you love about the heavyweight division. Skip because the one part of this is why you love to have skill this way by little. Tyson because you know you get fireworks now you showed up late you might becoming in and everybody's walking out 'cause he ended it and that's what Deontay water can do. I still don't know how regatta wrestlemainia because he caught influence with this great right. I thought it was over and on the way down. He caught a left hook. And you set up in late. Are you for real? I thought it would thought who's CG skipped because no wait a headway get hit blush like that on. The team is normally curtains. But it's going to be a great by. I'm anticipating fireworks. Eight ESPIRITO SAYS SOMEBODY HAS TO GO ONCE. Old needs to go but someone needs to go. Data lead to great. Al Davis says someone must go down and they must go down hard. Yeah so I hear everything you just said. I thought wilder got robbed the first time I thought he basically won the fight. I thought it was over when he decked him less than a minute into the last round and he caught him flush. Because there's no bigger right hand. Maybe in the history of boxing than this guy's right hand if he catches you flush he's an athlete at. He's six seven seven he goes. I saw the superbowl. I take a couple of years ago. Might have been that laughing with an Atlanta. Yeah I saw him but he's he's only like two twelve yes seven to twelve so he's really thin in. Yes okay I got it so what happened. Was the referee. Jack Re started his count late to me because he shouldn't have beaten the count and he did beat it because it started late but when he popped up. And this is why I'm gonNA give Imperia real shot in the rematch when he popped up like the undertaker like you said. Not only did he pop up. He seemed rejuvenated like he was somehow fueled by nearly getting knocked down because he was knocked out for few SEC. Yes right yes. And then all of a sudden everything changed because he's whole strategy change for the next two minutes in the last two minutes the fight. He went into attack Moan and at six nine to whatever he wanted to sue for the first time but again whatever he was at six nine to fifty six he started in fighting were. He's in attack mode and getting in on the inside of a long deontay wilder to. We're remember there's one way to defeat the big right hand and that's to get in so tight force. The actions so fiercely that he can't extended anymore but he's he's stuck which is very uncommon for guy that you want us retail for eighty-five into reach normally guys want to stand back and shoot that. Here's the thing when you stand in harm's way because if you stand outside of the distance hat geologists I'd outside you can be in trouble s okay so we agree Tyson. Fury is much more. The accomplished skilled boxer. In fact we always do pound for pound like floyd the greatest boxer but we do pound for pound. We GO LOW. We go down right. What if you go up? I can make a case that pound for pound. If he's GonNa way to seventy for this fight he's the most skilled two hundred and seventy pound. Although Lennox was up their latest. Listen leaning towards unbelievable. They seem when I go to the fights. Right Love Him. And we've had him on the show and he weighed two fifty eight right so he ushered in that Big Superhighway. He did six five to fifty guy. Or IT'S GONNA leave with only two. Oh Five Joe Louis. Those guys were not like what we see. The heavyweight revisit. The End Ali was a little heavier job but when he was Ali Ryan was five and he was a boxer. Yeah and the heavyweight division which we did normally see skip Mohammed Ali blogs like a low guy. Could I agree so Tyson again? It's not that he boxes with fury so to speak. It's more skill. It shocks me how skilled the is at that size so again if he's doubled down a sewing again. Yesterday he doubled down on his prediction again. It's prefight hype. But he he is sort of because he's such a great speaker. He comes across his so eloquent but his point is I'm going to attack him in the first round the way I didn't do it the first time and I'm GonNa do damage in the first round. And he's adamant about. I'm going to put him down in the second round right. Well he's capable of that. So is it possible that he stumbled literally stumbled into the right strategy after nearly got knocked? Now I'm sure I'm sure a while to understand that. But here's the things get in talking to talking to mark. Zalin made him a couple. Times talked to holy feeling guide. They say here's the thing. There's no problem with being aggressive. But you have to understand when you throw. You have to expect something to come back now. Tyson fury has two punches together. You put punches together. I've never seen a man throw a punch and protective cheat at the same time. So okay you get through progressive. What are you set yourself up for okay? But I'm not I'm not saying he's going to be super punching aggressive. He's just going to be forcing the action with dukes up like to stay here but but defied inside to stay so inside. That wilder can't get listening stint on it and the thing is when you look at the Ontario. People think he's a wildfire. He's not a wildfire. He only becomes wild when he thinks he has you in trouble was he was he got up and he still had him in trouble. You see him flailing away but if you watch him through the course of the fight everything is trying to try to measure the job. He's trying to match you with the job and try to come without one hitter quitter. So he he. He's not obviously he's not technical line he can't rotate like puree but he has skills but normally skip still. I watched it on Youtube last night. I don't believe he got caught him. Flushed with two punches. That would end in anybody else's night you saw it. What do you call you you saw when you call severing? He caught it with put lights out. And Fury listen to theory. Talk fears this. Did you think the demons that I overcame that I got up to him was far worse than that push? He's going through his head because the referee explain these talking about it he said I got to five and he opens his eyes and he said he's like I've never seen anything like that before but somebody got to go down to go down. You sound like you're leaning while I am leaning red but a that's a big man and he's technically sound so he got he got skilled he can box like. I said he's going to have to put together. I don't believe he can get him out with obviously the heavyweights. They can't just write obsolete. And get you out there. But he's more apt to put together to put you down as opposed to one. Not One shot will just because the first fight ended in a split draw with a shocking ending that we still can't quite s. I am more excited for the rematch. Too and I was for the first guy to skip that. We've seen that you want you know ties every ties and prime you wanted to watch. That's what you get. What what can you just give you know? He's going to distance. Yeah this luke is as much respect. I have for Florida's a boxer because he's the greatest defensive fighter ever just hard to watch his fights and I never got up and I got up for Connor because there was this X. factor could connor land one. Shot that would put him down. We WanNA see knockout debate box. Impurities Oh he's technically Saudi controlled command. Control THE RING. He Control Direction he was the aggressor. Yada Yada Yada. But it's like baseball baseball. Pure they love wind up game. Not Me I was twelve level. I was somebody hitting the ball at the par. I'm GonNa go to Vegas that they're.

"Rematch. The sports world has been waiting for Saturday nine eastern six Pacific by now on pay per view or the Fox sports at plus. Don't miss a special appearance by both fighters on the Massingir tonight on Fox. How about that and we even have our very own personalized boxing. Gloves more. Undisputed as we look to this Pfizer Shannon. How excited are you for the rematch? I'm very excited skip. Look they've been you look at Mayweather. You look at Sugary Leonard and Ray Robinson and Hagler her is de la Hoya sweetpea whitaker. They were great fighters but balking has been dominated by heavyweight Johnson. Ali Frazier formerly Tyson. That's what it's always been about. Joe Louis Lennox Lewis Lennox Lewis Gas. Yup The heavyweight division and we got to Super Super duper heavyweights in their prime by. This is not a fight with. It'll be forty years old man. They default like seven eight years ago. This is great by. We getting them in their prime. Now you look at these two fighters Tyson. Fear is more technical. The more south boxer. He a boxer punches together like for man his asking. I didn't realize that big until I started reading up on it. He's six nine six hundred fifty. Says he's GonNa wait to seventy harbor him not the way to seventy six. That's got it should. And then you look you look at a deontay wilder guy that picked up the sport of boxing at Eight. Nineteen so skipped. He's not technically sound. He's not a pure boxer per se but he has done in my. And that's what you love about. The heavyweight division skipped because the one part. This is what you love this way Tyson. Because you know you get fireworks now. If you showed up late you might be coming in. And everybody's walking because he ended up and that's what Deontay wilder can do. I don't know how we gotta take in Wrestlemainia. Because he caught him plunged with this great right. I thought it was over and on the way down. He caught him with a hook and eye to counter five. You set up in the ring. I'm late are you for real I it was. Cg SKIP CUT NO WAY AHEAD WAY. Get hit blush like that on. The team is normally curtains. But it's going to be a great pie. I'm anticipating fireworks. Eight zero. Says somebody has to go so once old needs to go but someone needs to go down and let the great. Al Davis says someone must go down and they must go down hard. Yep so I hear everything you just said. I thought wilder got robbed the first time I thought he basically won the fight. I thought it was over when he decked him. This is less than a minute into the last round. And he caught him flush. Because there's no bigger right hand. Maybe in the history of boxing than this guy's right hand if he catches you flush he's an athlete at he's six seven seven win the Super Bowl. I take a couple of years ago might have been met laughing with an Atlanta. But he's thin. He's only like twelve. Yes seven to twelve so he's really thin. Yes okay I got it. So what happened was the referee. Jack restarted his. Count late to me. Because he shouldn't have beaten the count and he did beat it because it started late but when he popped up. And this is why I'm GonNa give my superior real shot in the rematch when he popped up like the undertaker like you said. Not only did he pop up. He seemed rejuvenated. Like he was somehow fueled by nearly getting knocked out. I think he was not doubt for few second. Yes right yes. And then all of a sudden everything changed because his whole strategy change for the next two minutes in the last two minutes of the fight he went into attack Moan and at six nine to whatever he wanted to fifty at the first time but again whatever he was at six nine to fifty six he started in fighting. We're he's in attack mode and getting in on the inside of a long deontay wilder to. We're remember there's one way to defeat the big right hand and that's to get in so tight. Force the actions so fiercely that he can't extend it anymore but he's he's stop which is very uncommon for guy that size you. I read here for eighty-five injury also normally guys. WanNa stand back and shoot that. Here's the thing when you stand in you in harm's way because if you stand outside of the distance hat Tiao Zaid outside you can be in trouble this okay so we agree Tyson. Fury is much more. The accomplished skilled boxer. In fact we always do pound for pound like floyd the greatest boxer but when we do pound for pound we go low. We go down right. What if you go up right? I can make a case that pound for pound. If he's going to to seventy for this fight he's the most skilled two hundred seventy pound boxes ever although there listen leaning towards believe him when I go to the fights right love him and we've had him on the show and he weighed two fifty eight right so he ushered in that big super heavyweight six five to fifty four lead with only two five. Yeah we're a Joe Louis. Those guys were not like what we see. The heavyweight Dolly was a little heavier but when he was Ali Ryan was five and he was a boxer and the heavyweight division which we didn't normally see skip Mohammed. Ali blocks could agree so Tyson again. It's not that he boxes with fury so to speak. It's more skill. It shocks me how skilled the is at that size so again if he's doubled down sewing again. Yesterday he doubled down on his prediction again. It's prefight hype. But he is saw authoritative because he's such a great speaker. He comes across as so eloquent but his point is I'm going to attack him in the first round the way I didn't do it the first time and I'm GonNa do damage in the first round. He's adamant about I'm going to put him down in the second round right. Well he's capable of that. So is it possible that he stumbled literally stumbled into the right strategy after he got knocked? I'm sure a wild understands that. But here's the Thanksgiving and talking to box talking to mark. Brooklyn made him a couple of times talk to holy feeling God. They said the thing. There's no problem with being aggressive. But you have to understand when you throw. You have to expect something to come back now. Tyson fury has two punches together when you put punches together. I've never seen a man throw a punch of protective chain at the same time. So okay you get through progressive. What do you set yourself? What bore okay. But I'm not I'm not saying he's going to be super punchy aggressive. He's just GonNa be forcing the action with dukes up like to stay here but defied inside to stay so inside. That wilder can't can't get loose and extend on the thing is when you look at the wider. People think he's a wildfire. He's not a wildfire. He only becomes wild when he thinks he has you in trouble once he got once he got up and he still thought he had him in trouble. You see him flailing away but if you watch him. Throughout the course of the fight everything is trying to try to measure what he's trying to jail and try to come without one. Hit A quitter. So He's not obviously he's not technical he can be can't forbid rotating like Jerry but he has skills but normally skip still and I watched it on Youtube it last night we ask you to believe. He got skippy. Caught him flush with two punches. That would end in anybody else's night you you saw it what do you call Ortiz Yukata? We saw when he calls the ring he caught it with that puts over here with billing was lights out. If you're listening to fury talk fears this. Did you think the demons that I overcame that I got up to him was far worse than that put? He's going through with it because the referee explain these talked about it he says I got the five opens his eyes and he said he's like I never seen anything like that before. Somebody got to go down. Okay I'll go down. You sound like you're leaning while I'm leaning leaning read a that's a big man and he's technically sound so he got he scaled. He can box like I said going to punch together. I don't believe he can get him out with one. Obviously the heavyweights. They can't digest right obsolete. And get you out of here. But he's more apt to put punches together to put you down as opposed to Deontay one. Not One shot will just because the first fight ended in a split draw with a shocking ending that we still can't quite s. I am more excited for the rematch of to. It's been a while. Skip that we've seen that you want ties with. Every Tyson is prime. You wanted to watch. That's what you get what you ended. It ain't going to distance. Yep this is no look is as much respect as I have for floyd as a boxer because he's the greatest defensive fighter ever. He's hard to watch his fights and I never got up for. I got up for Connor because there was this X. factor could connor land shot. That would put him down. We WanNA SEE KNOCKOUT. Debate boxing purists. Oh He's technically Saudi control. Command control the ring. He control the erection he was the aggressor Yada Yada. Yada would've liked baseball baseball. Pure they love up and gain not me I was twelve. I was thinking about hitting the ball at the park. You'RE GONNA go to Vegas. I'M GONNA Pay Fox in your pay doubled. Hometown disc skips by and see you.

"John cress commits to so disappointed everything you see every decision Asian made this is not baseball. That's not the way I played but yeah so he Jay Confronts his dad very it was like a band whose Aristotle Right He confronts his Dad and tells them I'm GonNa Strike this trump out. He can't hit the low the low outside the loan away pitch which proves true he throws to loan away pitches. Tommy swings over them. So what does he do. He goes fuck in high in right right in Tommy's wheelhouse entirely makes them pay now also in that Betzeen. He hits a foul ball. Yes why it means. Zero means absolutely nothing to that scene. It's not tension building. What's right foul ball okay so now he's going to strike him out right? Nope some deep and it's not even like it's not even that close. It's not even it's like Oh my God. It's going down the line. Oh it looks foul all right it. This one was he hits it foul ball and then the next pitch high inside Tommy tanks it right into the myrtle house great awesome nothing was gained right and there's nothing for for the viewer nothing was gained. They're back on the bully but it wasn't even that great. I feel good about it. You know for the final inning. They break out the dodgeball eligible to be good luck for them and the bases are loaded at some point E._J.. Steps up or the game went. The the go. Ahead run is on is E._J.. And he pimps the fuck out of a fly ball all out he hit a towering fly ball towards Thomas Direction and he trots the shit out of it he pushes the second basement aside say just immediately throws whose office helmet and just stretch around the the bases and then Tommy makes his great catch just for the other team jumps until all the wall kind of gives pushes him back onto the field and makes the catch and he gets the and so they win the game. That's the end of the game. John Kruk comes up and he's like. I saw that that's great. I want you to come play on my team next year. Blah Blah Blah. He's like great. It all worked out in the end for me. Tell me who has still not learned a lesson really right. He doesn't sacrifice anything. He doesn't change his his mind on anything. Really he still plays baseball like he doesn't give up baseball to be with his mother. nope fairly barely learns the true meaning of friendship and he just did it in a different uniform yeah he just learns is it because the kid gives a single speech about like really inspiring just like these like I don't WanNa lose to these. These knuckleheads right says these these fart breaths and is a choice they always got some on mouth on this kid. You guys have seen the movie scrooge <unk> correct of course yeah right so obviously there's a new kid in that movie because his father was murdered and and he doesn't say anything until the very end when he says God bless us. Everyone and it's very impactful because of frank going through this whole change in life. This has no way to it because it's just the mute kids saying hey stopping fucking asshole. That's it yeah I think I think they took more inspiration from silent Bob than they did. Scrooge right who is the sunshine on the car says critters of Hollywood you dumb fuck. He runs home to his mom. WHO's been sleeping? She's getting super sick but she's still hot and then the kid comes comes comes to his window like hey. This is your ball have it so he throws it up to him. As fireworks are going off and young Tommy gets hit on the head and then he snaps back to the present day a or two thousand seven really and Luke Perry is now in a hospital bed and he's recovering from getting smacked in the fucking face bald-faced syndrome and he has learned learn a lesson about not being an asshole and all of a sudden all the kids from the San Lana now fully grown and they love Tommy now think the it's at the end of wizard of Oz yeah and you were there and oh. My girlfriend is now my wife life and I never left her to go play for the Yankees. I've been a dodger my entire life and here my two kids right why none of it like sends them into a shock because that's exactly what if I saw two kit if right now got two kids ran into this room you you would see me the listeners you would. You can see me out because you're listening but you would hear a loud thud and that would be me fainting because that's what a normal person would do with two kids. Just randomly ran into their lives lives not embrace them like Oh. I've known about this my entire time yeah. He doesn't have that time travel shock where it's like. Oh my God like time cop when he comes back all of a sudden he's got that really fat fat kid right that his his life and that plays directly against how he was when he went back in time right because it took him forever to figure that out and and then when he comes back he just immediately accepts. I have two kids and a wife now and all all my friends from the Sandlot are still my very good friends now and they dress like children's still chevette quick back shot. I can see the yellow hat and whatever like dream sequences yeah. It's it's a terrible ending to just a terrible movie. Oh Man Yeah that's that's the end that's the end and this movie fucking sucks. I dislike this movie so much I I really don't have anything nice to say about it. Really there's not even a way to save this movie. No do away to save it is to just throw would into the fire of I think we I think we slightly got to even the smallest shred of a thing you could have done and brought it up. Earlier is just do the whole he gives up baseball for his MOM. Yes that is about it but that has nothing to do with this moving right and it's not the other movie essentially you take out you take out the mother right and you take out the mother having cancer storyline because it plays your it had zero effect like Anthony said at the beginning. We don't know if that's why he became jerk when his mom died and that's totally understandable I get that when you're a kid and you lose the parent and we don't know what happened to his father. He's never mentioned I think think but <hes> when you lose a loved one at that age it's going to mess with your mind for good or for worse or for better for worse but it's not explained here so there's you just take that you lift that out. You're fine now you play baseball and that's what the Sandlot should be. If you WANNA put and if you WANNA put time travel involved you can make it so much better so much better and it's it really meant nothing. It should have been a dream sequence yeah that that's the thing it's it's if you're going to commit to the time travel aspect of it you gotta play into the tropes that go along with time travel movie. It's like what would have been good is if they leaned into it. Let's okay so we say maybe maybe we we kinda fixed the reason why he goes back in time say something magical happens or like there's a magical person that kind of sends him back the time sort of like <hes> like I said Don cheadle and in the family man so then you send him back in time some way like that a- and you tie it into the first movie by trying to get the kid that played Bertram Grover weeks the the kid that got really into the sixties remember at the end of the postscript of the San laws like Bertram got really into the sixties disease and no one ever saw again bring him back in the seventies and like he's all he. He's the DOC Brown character in nineteen fifty five like this kid. He knows he just like you're not from here or something like right and you kind of create like you gotta get back like you like the lightning striking the clock tower sort of scenario whenever that is whatever that taking clock is you create that for you gotta get back you gotTa Bahir at this time and try and create a conflict between oh well <hes> holy shit well. That's the same time as the game and that's the biggest that's the first big moment of my baseball career is when I play that game right I think I could make we get but we'll see and then all of a sudden. The car breaks down so he's gotta run to that. You know just re if you'RE GONNA IF YOU'RE GONNA do time travel just rip off back to the future right. You put your own spin on it so it was it was it was the thing I was going to bring up is that you even have him. During the baseball montages teach them something that wasn't in the baseball in the seventies. Maybe a picture that hasn't been invented. He invents the shift. Yeah there you go yeah that'd be shows them how to throw like Marianne who's cutter or something yeah and that's how they fixed the pitcher and maybe he can even help help the kid out Ryan the mute kid maybe he can figure out a way to reach out to him. Better like through his love like all you know baseball is going to be this in the future and so on and so forth and that maybe Ryan Kinda cheats a little and winds winds up doing something in the future four baseball like Ali Ryan's the guy who invented this like Oh shit he so he listened to Itami said you know what I'm saying like. It's something that is is nothing major but he he kinda helps out a certain way he scouts whoever you know he scouts Ken Griffey Junior and like Oh yeah Ryan was the one who who went after Ken Griffey junior went after some guy who wasn't ignoring thought he was they. We're going to be big and turns out to be big yeah. I think I think part of it is that when with time travel situation there needs to be like a commiserating party he's all alone in the seventies with no no one to bounce things off the bounce that situation off of right to believe him yeah but it also this this movie could be improved. A great deal is if it's not time travel is just a dream and he's bleeding out on the field all the last these are the last moments of this is all what's flashing in his head right before he dies. I'll buy that standard. JAKE'S JACOB'S CBS latter scenario dying out in the mud would make more sense. I mean obviously not it's a it's a kids movie so obviously it doesn't die comes to and like Oh my God and then it becomes a better person for his dream when he realizes that he's really kind of fucked up the kind of true meaning baseball <hes> and that's you know essentially that's. That's the standard way to do that that it just doesn't really <hes> it. Just doesn't make any sense that this is an actual time travel movie right. It's it's.

"I think you could have been a really irritating character. And yet I found myself really relating to him in this witness sense of. Oh my gosh. I two sometimes have this fear of am. I living up to my full potential. I'm also depressed and sometimes don't want to get out of bed or want to just binge watched. You know, great British bake off or whatever and then to be confronted with this like perfect version of himself in a different universe. His kind of reaction of like it was like I was looking in a mirror, and then you see the the difference between their faces. I was like, oh my gosh that that fear is to reel to reel. And that story also serves to to demonstrate that if you build Peter Parker as a young, you know, interesting exciting young, dude. He's a teenage superhero, he will eventually grow up and have adult problems. If you assume that he's going to age, and you know, he has this these girlfriends and stuff like that. Eventually he will be an adult with boring adult problems and also trauma. I mean being Spiderman is not an easy thing. And I think his character really shows that you can kind of go through all of these things where he breaks his back, and he's less able than he was when he was twenty six years old, and he can still be Spiderman he can still be a hero. And despite his adult problems is a superhero. Yeah. And I do want to talk about some of the performances other than Jay Johnson. And she make more there. So. Oh, many who kind of come into this film. It took me forever to realize like, oh, that's lily Tomlin. As mother may interesting. Yeah. Say it's a really different take on aunt may to me all of these performances are exactly what they're supposed to be because they're not distracting. It really keeps the focus on the animation and the visuals, and you just have good acting. I'm just going to have to shout out Mary Hidalgo because she was the one the casting director. I found that like you were saying Linda, all of these voices sound so distinct, and they sound so special and unique and yet they're not distracting like when you know, Chris pines, Peter Parker. It was like, of course, this is what a perfect Peter Parker with sound. Like compared to Jake Johnson lily Tomlin is fantastic and interesting, and you can tell that she has a character and a life outside of being on may Peter Parker, which I loved I also love Kathryn Hahn. So her dock it was so fun for me because I felt like she brought kind of this snarky snarky cynical quality to the character that I don't think I've seen before. Well, and I mean, they they brought the goods to this movie. The two main men in miles life are MMA Ali Ryan Tyree Henry, and that is Yup. They put the goods in this film, and I should say like it's all very moving, and it's very visually inventive which you talked about. But this is also one of the writers is Phil Lord who has done so many of the best movies also in many places, very funny. Yeah. And the timing the comedic timing of. Yes. Really great. Yes. And it's also really funny. Yeah. Probably had my favorite post credits scene. Oh my God. Yes. Stay for the credit for the credits. All the way to the end. And it's a pain. But everything about this room is a is making argument to see it in a theater there have been plenty of Spiderman direct to video animated st-. Some of them featuring miles Morales not like this. This is worth the trip. I absolutely I completely agree. And we should say we are covering this film after originally planning this week that we would cover aquaman. Now, if you know Glen Alden, Glenn while has an aquaman tattoo aqua man is his avatar. So we've planned for literally many months to cover a aquaman when it came out. We felt like we needed to pivot at the last minute because this is getting a lot of great buzz. And we wanted to cover before the end of the year, but I would not want to deprive anyone of glens aquaman thoughts. So Glenn made his way to aquaman, and he is here to report back. I mean, basically, Jason momoa, isn't my aquaman, and that's fine. Right. I like the classic square. Do-gooder auckland..
