"Italian teams are nowhere near. It's a consequence of what we've been doing in the last ten, 15 years. I met him talking a large scale. I'm talking about clubs, national team. Yeah, we have this amazing parenthesis last summer when we won the Euro cup. And all the service by the players by the coach. But to be honest, this result that you just showed and the two missing World Cup qualification for the national team, it's pretty obvious that something is wrong. And something big is wrong. I mean, we don't have even a view system that recreated talents. We need to bring all the time, turning from outside, not from Italian talents, and every club facing this stuff. And back in the day, we had several problems with the stadium, nobody was the stadium, only three teams in the 14th on the stadium. So you can not build something different. Most of the club doesn't have a property training center, something that you compare with the bigger Europe, and this is, you're going to pay that Bill at some point. And they're going to pay that you're going to pay in the mentality. They're going to pay the quality of players. Now everybody wants to go to Premier League for different reasons because we have the best teams, of course. And if it's not Premier League, you go to Spain. And on the other side, you have buyer in Germany. And now Paris in France. So we don't have the same power there before. Economics power, talent, power, and mentality power. Now normally Ali, you would look at it and kind of think that it's a cyclical situation. You think back to when you were playing the 2000, that was all about Italy. People wanted to go to Italy. That's where they get the best exposure. That's paid the most, is that going to happen again, always the Premier League just going to keep this striding along and becoming the dominant force, not only on the pitch, but economically as well. It has to take a big, big decision in terms of global movement. For my point of view, global movement, football. I'm talking about the system I'm talking about developing new structure and change in the mentality recognize that we are not the best anymore. And CD, what happened around the world and see who is the best and try to catch from them the best situation. In the meantime, we have an amazing course that going around and looking at a lot. It's still the best question. One of the best coaches in the world. And it's now coaching in Italy. So it doesn't match. So take a big courage step to go there. And have to be made by everyone. Clubs first club first. And then national team. Ali Moreno joins us, and I'm being ignoring you for a while. I promise you that wasn't my fault. We're blamed producer Mike. Looking.

"You control everything. The problem is, is that when you go behind, this is not according to plan, because the plan is to control everything. And I think once you go behind, that struggle because they're a bit lost, okay, what do we do now? Do we still do December? We do the same when we are either in the lead or in control. We're not in control here. We actually crumbling. And I don't think they had the answer to it. I think that was very evident, especially once the game got into extra time where it sort of the last ten minutes. I know, sending the center back up is part and partial you're chasing long balls. Yeah. I also kind of feel you've got these players. This is not how you score goals normally. If this is a quick way to get a goal, sending your central defender up, you would be doing this in the first minute, right? Yeah. I thought, let himself down a little bit there. Yeah. It doesn't change my view that Manchester City are one of the two best teams in the world. I think that's the best. And I don't think it means pep is a fraud, doesn't mean he bottles it. It doesn't mean any of these things. No, but I tell you every time they were behind the season in the league and the Champions League against both twice against PhD in Paris against Crystal Palace at Leipzig, those games. They don't get back into it. No. That is an incredible staff. And I think that's something that somebody that people should focus on more. I think, because that is fairly telling, right? You've got the team of the rim taras versus the team that never comes back. They don't go PhD at the Etihad in the group stage. And in another game, I can't remember which one, but they don't win. They don't come back and win. Now, if I'm Manchester City, not mansoor, because let's face it, he doesn't care. And probably not how doom because he's busy with more important things. But if I'm ferran soriano, or even cheeky, do I take Peppa side and say pat? At the start of the season, we had a certain number of senior pros and the squad. And we were happy with the squad. We said, this is what we need. We tried to get Kane, you didn't come. And this is what we need. For the season, we were happy. Our 23, however many it was. Yeah. We lost two of them. Benjamin mondi because, for example, in legal issues. And Ferran Torres in January. We could have replaced them with other people with bodies. People who take up minutes. Yeah. What changed your mind? About the size of the squad. And I'm not bringing this up unlike what Ali Moreno said last night on the show like, oh, it's not your excuse in this game. It's not like a depth. You're not fine. I'm not saying this. I'm talking about planning this season because the reality is now. You could finish the season empty handed. Yeah. Right? Because you need to absorb the psychological shock of this. You've got some weird and whatever. That's not easy, right? Yeah, it's gonna be tough. I'm just one, maybe you played the brine a little bit less. I mean, not in the opposite plane in this game, but maybe why do you think? He felt that he was okay with this. It was one theory and need to talk about it is that he values chemistry and unity and maybe bringing into other players to replace the ones that he lost. Maybe he wasn't comfortable handling that, managing that situation. Maybe. But I do find it extraordinary that a team and I'm not one of those people who says you need to have two guys for every position. That's nonsense, right? You need a hierarchy. But a couple guys to take minutes off. Whether it's a big lump, late in the game. I know hindsight's always 2020, but I wonder, when you thought you needed X number of players. And then for reasons beyond your control, your two players down, why not bring in those two players? What changes your mind and say? I don't need these guys at all. I don't know, maybe they maybe they try to get rid of them in the summer and couldn't, so it didn't change anything. You could they said, okay, we have him now, the start of the season, but we're going to replace them if they got rid of them in the summer. And then they didn't replace them in January. But you can't you can't factor the injuries that can happen in a season. So in January, when everybody was faced, said, you know what? This is enough. We don't need more. We can play archaea left back. We've got, you know, we can do this. We can do a lot you can do. And then you end up with a halfway John stones playing right back in the first leg and then it falls apart. You don't know he's going to get injured at that time then. So you knew he was like two more players and you get no injuries between January and the end of the season. Which is possible. So you have two more players who replace the two guys. You had that you were happy to pay two guys to do very little in Ferran Torres and Benjamin mendy in the summer. You thought you needed them in the summer, right? I'm not saying that I think it comes into it. Maybe. All right, let's we'll go back to Real Madrid in a second, but one other point. And this is, I don't know if Patricia is a pet hater, or if he's just expressing his mind, but he threw this out there. And it's something that he's not the only one who said this. Yeah. Which is that pep values harmony so much on the collective that he does not want big personalities. But Pepe has been asking..

"Aruba dot com. Welcome to the latest edition of ESPN FC Kay Marie Ali Moreno and Stevie nickel here with you and what a game and a tie. We have to look back on between Real Madrid and Manchester City Real Madrid are through to the champions. We final to face Liverpool against all odds and there is much to discuss when it does come to this game. Joining us to do so, we're going to also have gab and we're hoping to hear from nadim a little bit later on, but gab marcotti is with us, but I want to start with you, LA. How have Real Madrid done this again? I have no idea. The truth is that they were dead. And I mean, when I say bad, they were dead. Dead, dead, maybe not buried. The only people that believe that Real Madrid still had an opportunity after the 90th minute was that animal players, maybe because there was no reason to believe from what we had seen in the game that there was a comeback from Real Madrid, that they were going to be able to recreate what they did against PSG and Chelsea. Mantis a city where as comfortable as you could possibly be in a semifinal second leg Santiago Verna against Real Madrid. There was no momentum from there was in this other game. There was nothing. Nothing to hang on to. And then Rodrigo's core. And what amazes me is not only the response of Real Madrid, but how quickly it falls apart for a team like Manchester City. And we criticize PSG and we criticize Chelsea. And we have to criticize Manchester City as well. How quickly it fell apart. But before we get to Manchester City, focusing on Real Madrid. Self believe is an overwhelmingly powerful thing. And this team has it in bunches and the history of recent success of this club and this group of players in moments like this is the only thing that you can hang on to and they do it better than anybody else in the world. This team, this group of players, this whole club in Champions League is something else. It's something special, something that can not be touched. They are something special to watch in moments like this. So many factors to break down. What do you think the turning point was in the game, Stevie? I think there's no question that of mendy doesn't clear that ball off the lane. Then the buried alley was talking about because that gave them that still give them the chance. I mean, Curtis made another save after that as well. But relish. Yeah. Both from Grealish. So they've been hanging on by a thread since a referee blew the whistle in the false flag. Let's be honest. They got completely outplayed in the false leg. Somehow when we come away one behind, they did nothing in the first 90 minutes of this game to suggest they didn't even look as though they were behind the way they played. The fact that they didn't get shot on target before 90 minutes tells you all you need to know. They didn't look as though they were in any horror. I mean, there were just, it was just incredible, which is why there was people leaving the Berlin and the naive minute, because he thought it was done as well. And then all of a sudden, Rodrigo, I mean, just fantastic Ron just takes the gamble and all of a sudden that belief just appears and sucks the life out of Manchester City. Gab it's a strange thing to say, but you almost wonder if city scoring was the most dangerous part of it because then suddenly Real Madrid kicked into that rim on tada mode. You would think so except a lot of time passed between city scoring and Rodrigo equalizing in the 89 minute. You know, there's a famous juanito quote about how 90 minutes is an eternity of the Bernabeu. Sure, but there was no sense of urgency and you could look at it both ways. You can say, well, they were being patient. Yeah, maybe patients, maybe lack of urgency, then is this the other is the flip side of patients, isn't it? So it was remarkable. Certainly, for me, you know, obviously Mindy is the turning point, but then you could also point to that. Without that, that incredible save by Courtois off of Grealish. We're not having different conversation now. So I just off. I don't know how to do it. It's voodoo. It's Supernatural. And it's happened so many times that you really have to wonder. So why did anyone count them out LA? Why did anyone count them out when it was just a goal advantage for city? And we knew it was back at the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg. Because that four three result at Manchester City was the best possible result that Real Madrid could have hoped for on the night. They were largely outplayed, Manchester City created quality transit, not half chances, quality chances consistently in that game. So logic would suggest would tell you that if indeed Real Madrid was going to open up and they had to go and win the game against Manchester City at home, that even more opportunities would be available to Manchester City and that they would be able to control the game. And while Manchester City were not all that expensive, they still created enough opportunities. And most of all, they were in full control of the pace of the game. So the reason you overlook the Real Madrid at your own peril, by the way, and this is something that we have said time and time again overlooked around Maria add your own peril. You tend to go down that direction because Manchester City were far superior. Significantly superior to Real Madrid, more so than the one goal would suggest. And then 90 minutes happened. And over 90 minutes, you still maintain, you know what? Yeah. Mantises city is a better team than Real Madrid. But then things just turn so quickly and it's almost feels like this group of players like Santiago were in a way. They are touched by forces beyond our understanding because there is nothing logical about how the last few minutes of that game transpire. And there is nothing logical from our experiences to suggest, yeah, Manchester City somehow are going to collapse and the Real Madrid somehow are going to turn this around. We had no evidence of it over this 90 minutes. We had evidence against Chelsea and evidence against PSG. But the difference was significant between this two clubs and we thought that it would be enough for men to city. And it wasn't. Tab. No, I completely agree that the gulf and superiority was there. Ultimately, I don't think it's any secret that ra Madrid's game plan was we're a goal down. Let's keep it tight. Let's wait for them to make a mistake. And then if it's only on Neil in the last 15 minutes, we throw the kitchen sink and hope for the best. And in the end, that's the nature of the sport..

"The Seattle sounders are hoping to make history tomorrow night in the Concacaf Champions League Final second leg against pumas and they are heavy favorites to do so as well as we now welcome in Ali Moreno to look ahead to this game and they are expecting a record attendance in this competition LA 60,000 plus tickets already been sold, what type of atmosphere do you think we're going to be seeing there? It's going to be electric. From the moment that Seattle tagged that game to add pumas last week, the excitement has been building in Seattle and there's been all sorts of marketing going on and all sorts of promotion going on for this game because I think the fans in Seattle recognized the importance of this moment and so we have seen all sorts of people out there putting the word out. Make sure you come out and support the Seattle Sanders because as you just said, it could very well be a historic night. Not only for the Seattle Sanders, but in the bigger picture for Major League Soccer. Absolutely. And with that in mind, what are you actually expected to see LA from Seattle in this match? What's really interesting about the rhetoric coming into this match is how Seattle are the favorites that this is indeed the best chance for MLS to finally win Concacaf Champions League. Now, the truth of the matter is, this is the latest best chance for MLS to win this competition. Over the last few seasons, there's been.

"Hello and welcome to the latest position of ESPN FC Kay Marie and Craig Burley here with you in the studio to look back on the second leg semi between Liverpool and Villarreal, Liverpool are through to the Champions League Final, but there was a major scare in the first half when they went two goals down without replay. They turned it around in the second scoring three and Luis dias introduction into the game really did turn things around Liverpool progressed 5 two on aggregate and the quadruple is very much still on. We have a whole host of people here tonight to talk about what we saw. We have Frank la boof Ali Moreno and Don hutchison as well. But let's start with you, Craig. I mean, congratulations to Liverpool, but Villarreal did one that they would be different at home and we did see that. Completely different size. That was the very real that we know and we've seen at times in La Liga this season, particularly at home. But Liverpool, you know, well, the architects of their own downfall and in some sense, because talked about it after the players Van Dyck. The oaks had, we knew it was common. We were warmed were prepared. We went complacent, but we were just didn't perform as a team. With making great runs with the sales are coming off the right hand side, causing problems, Esteban down the left side. And when it was crosses were coming in, that back four was shaking particularly the full backs who got exposed on a couple of occasions. So yeah, it was a fascinating 45 minutes and fair play to vary out. And some fascinating insight after that first half of action done as to what Jurgen klop had to say to his players. Yeah, it's very interesting that he got asked the question after the game, what did you say off time? And he said, he asked his analyst guy to show one passenger play in the first half. That was good. So you can then give him a little bit of confidence and show them at half time and the analysis guide just turned around and went, there's not one. We were terrible. And I think bizarrely, I think the thing that done it for Villarreal was scoring that second goal just before off time. Even though, of course, you want to score the goal and you want to go into halftime with the two in the lead. I think if they had gone in at one, Liverpool's team saw it might have been slightly different. They might not put Diaz on. They might have been as hectic and sort of desperate. But I've got to say credit for the real I thought the first opening part of the game first 20 minutes say score inside three they put you on the back foot intimidating little atmosphere, the crowd played their partner shore, Liverpool's possession starts in the first half was their lowest since 2019. They couldn't keep the ball Thiago was giving it away. They had nothing going at the top end of the pitch and they needed half time like you wouldn't believe so much better in the second half and the obvious substitution was Diaz and he had a massive role to play in the game. He was incredible second half. It really did make the difference, didn't he LA Luis Diaz and his introduction..

"Edition of ESPN FC Kay Marie and Stevie nickel here with you in the studio in just a moment we'll be hearing from Ian duck and Ali Moreno too as we look back on the second semifinal in the Champions League this week. This one between Liverpool and Villarreal and after a frustrating first half of action, Liverpool had two quick fire goals early in the second half, Jordan Henderson forcing an own goal and then Sadio Mané scarring just minutes later to make it two nil for Liverpool to head to the ceramica in full control of this tie. Let's welcome in then the rest of the panel for you Ian and LA with us, but I will start with you, Stevie. What did you take away from today's game? To be honest with you, it kind of went the way I thought it would. You know, there was no question the ability I would go on to set tight. There weren't going to gamble too much. And it was going to be a question of a Liverpool going to be able to blame them down. And before the own goal, I'd have to say, I kind of resigned myself that I wasn't quite sure whether they were going to because they hadn't really made a pure clean cut chance where you're seeing these should have scored. So I was beginning to get a little worried, but then when you set the edge of your box for such a long period of time, both in the fossil and then the start of the second, it's not always a piece of genius, the beach here, sometimes it's just a deflection that happened because of all the pressure. And then they just took the foot off the gas a little bit, defensively, Liverpool tuna, and this takes almost over two zero means that Villarreal holds on by a thread. And quite frankly, I'm not so sure that Villarreal at home are going to do anything different than he did at Anfield tonight. So you'd have to see a Liverpool, absolutely a 100% big, big favorites to go through. Ian, would you say patience paid off for Liverpool in this game? Yeah, I don't think they were in any hurry. It was a very, very domineering performance that by Liverpool. I think they'd worked VRA out a little bit as well. Remember, this is a team who have been written off as kind of plucky outsiders, but they've knocked out by Munich. They've knocked out Juventus and they've done it tactically very cleverly. They try to work everything through Danny parejo, their midfield player. But Liverpool's high press just suffocated all of that. So the game was being played almost like an attack be defense game the whole way. I think a breakthrough was bound to come eventually. They had so much of the ball Liverpool, and they got those two goals in a couple of minutes, and I'm with Stevie. I think it will be a slightly different game of BRL. There's a cracking atmosphere there, and they created a lot of chances against Bayern Munich, so there's still a bit of work for Liverpool to do, but I think, you know, they're going to score there as well because they score in every game, don't they? And I think they're going to sail through. Who stood out for Liverpool for you today, LA. I always think that having a player like Luis Diaz gives you a variety.

We're gonna show you. I'm sure. I said his name and then the producer didn't think I'd said his name. Everybody know I did say his name. That's all right. I forgot his name earlier though, so that's why the producer was worried. I don't forget your name, and I just forgot you were on this. What that wait. Really? Got what was the white thing on your head earlier? Because it's not unknown. It's not there now. I don't know. I don't remember a white thing. I don't know. You have a piece of white stuff on your head. Should be ghosts of some kind. You have to realize, okay, I'm not actually supposed to be here. I'm supposed to be on holiday. I'm supposed to be hiking the Grand Canyon as we speak, unfortunately, one of my family members, one of my kids got COVID the day before flying. And that's why I'm stuck here in the sceptered isle. But you get to be with us. That's not too bad. You get to be honest. I don't get to be with you. There you go. Will you be on the Gavin Jules podcast now that you're sticking around anyway? Man. Well, actually I'm going to let you in on something. Mark Ogden was scheduled to fill in for me. But then I just thought it was such a great game. Jules thought the same and they said, Mark can find something negative in everything. So to balance it out, he will be there, but so will I and hopefully I'll dial down the negativity there. Can I just say he was going to go on vacation? Just go on vacation. Even if you're not. Put the ball away. Do something else. But regardless, this gives joules an opportunity to talk. "Welcome to the latest edition of ESPN FC Kay Marie here in the studio with Ali Moreno and Shaka hislop we will be talking Eric ten hag to Manchester United. We'll be talking Karim Benzema, but we'll start with the Europa League, where Barcelona took on eintracht Frankfurt's away from home. It was a game that finished one one, the home side took the lead through Anne's gar canal for a nice goal in the 48th minute, but it was a nice move from basle that it's level things out in the 66th through Ferran Torres. That is how the first leg looks after the first 90 minutes next week, it will be in Catalonia finally poised and at the game for us was Archie rin tuft. In fact, he loves soundtrack Frankfurt. All the funds were there in the stadium too. What can you tell us about how tonight went down Archie? The atmosphere came there are few places, I think, in European football that match a European night at eintracht Frankfurt granted before that Europa League run in 2019. They'd not had one in quite a while, but I think that's what makes it so special and so loud that even javi himself was talking on German TV after the game about how incredible the atmosphere was and I think that you could see that it imposed themselves on the Barcelona players. The Einstein Frankfurt players themselves and the fans because Barcelona did not have the tempo, the fluidity that I would have expected to see of them, even if okay, Frankie Deon, and whose mandan ballet were on the bench. And ultimately, I tracked Frankfurt should have won this game. And that feels odd. The colleague I had sitting next to me, a disguised danger at Frankfurt, fans shall we say, was predicting before the game that Barcelona would get a win this 6 zero, such was what she saw as the quality difference between the two. But come the end of it, Frankfurt, I've got to be disappointed that they've not won this game, such was the chance such were the chances that they had. They scored once. Their most unlikely chance of them all from Amsterdam. I'd say that then, from what you saw, do you think Barcelona will be relieved that they came away from this one with a one one draft. I think even before the game as they're doing the walk through, there were some signs that this was not going to be the best game for Barcelona because daily. The field as the players were looking at it, they felt like the grass was too long. It was bumpy over here. Over there. And you could see the players already complaining before the game even started. And that's how Barcelona.

"Alongside Alexis news, we also have Sid low and Ali Moreno with us to look back on this game and ahead to the final between now athletic club Andrea Madrid, but Alexis from you first. What was the immediate reaction after the game? Yeah, Kay, honestly, it was just absolute shell shock. And it's not the first time or the second or even the third that I've seen Atlético Madrid lose and lose quite in such a shocking way as well just a few weeks ago, Sid and I were in Seville when they lost the Sevilla before they lost us well too in the Madrid Darby too Real Madrid. And those were comfortable losses I would say. And afterwards, it just kind of felt like a funeral procession, but tonight was very different. They seemed so frustrated and shell shocked. Almost like they couldn't believe what had happened and that they didn't even have the answers afterwards. I mean, I spoke to Jan obak I also spoke to Yannick Carrasco and they kind of just kept saying they really don't know what went wrong. It all happened so fast, but they're looking back at it. And it's just little details here and there that they keep losing. And as your black said, they need to wake up and look they've needed to wake up for some time now. And that's the frustrating part. There were a ton of fans here today that we're all cheering for Atlético Madrid. I think there was a small section actually clearing cheering for athletic club and that was actually led by in yaki and Nico Williams mothers that just came over. But everyone else was cheering for Atlético Madrid. And when they lost on the full time whistle blew, they actually turned on them and they booed them as they walked straight into the tunnel. Luis Suárez was the first one down the tunnel as well and they gave him a massive boo even though just a few minutes earlier they gave him such a huge chair when he came on and then Diego Simeone once again, he came out and it was just dead quiet. You could touch you could cut the tension in the entire stadium with a knife and he only did one interview. Unfortunately wasn't with us. He did it with a Spanish rights holders and he literally was answering all their questions with two or three words and the last question he answered with the shake of a head and just walked off and it just once again kind of gives the question, what is this identity of this athletic Commodore? We just continuously expecting them to get by these matches based on what they did last season and based on their name because again, what is their identity? We saw them struggle once again defensively. You know, they look really weak with these corners. And we're talking about a team that is run by Diego Simeone, and if they don't have a strong defensive identity, especially now after losing Kieran Trippier, it's almost like what do they have? And looking at Diego Simeone's body language as well, even he didn't have the answers after I lost tonight and that begs to want us to kind of question now going forward, what is next for this Atlético Madrid? Because right now, it doesn't look like anyone on the team in terms of players or even their manager really knows. It's a good question that Alexis poses there. What is next for them? What's wrong with athlete? And that's a question that Diego Simeone has not been able to answer. Now, we can go into tactics, we can go into formations, we can go into the rotation of players and as to what the cast of characters are available to the ego Simone. If we want to go down that path. But this game was.

"The last 16 in the Champions League will be. It is now via real going through after they beat Atalanta three two on a game we had to wait a day for they managed to stave off a comeback from the Italians two goals from Dan Zuma and kapua also to make it three nil for virile, but then came the comeback from the city of academy and surpassed all in two back for the host, great game, great response from them, but not enough, and now gasperini's men are looking at the Europa League and group effort which Manchester United two topped it and it is very out going through to the last 16 as runners oh as we now welcome in more team to our panel. Janae Vuelta, frankly both and Julian laron are with those jewels do you think the right team went through in the end in this game? I thought it was a fascinating game because of course I had to win to finish second with favela real. The game plan was a bit different, it draw was enough and I think what they really are in that four four two formation is to wait and counter and that's exactly what it is going early helped of course. I thought kapu was amazing. Often in midfield, if you can match Atalanta, that's where you win the game against them and they did that. Until the end, I thought it was a really good game. I'm a bit disappointing because if you think of those two united games, especially that's where really they miss the missed out on qualification. I feel as though as well as Jacare enter have become one of those sides in recent seasons that people have got excited to see because you don't always know what to expect from them. Because of their attacking football, which I'm given the discussions we've been having around Italian football and some of their feelers over the last couple of days. Atalanta has been anything but given what we've seen from them with the last couple of seasons, not as big a budget, yet their football can tell you continues to thrill. And then come up against a Villarreal team who themselves haven't fared well, particularly in the league and you just thought at home Atlanta would get the job done. I guess the writing was on the wall when yesterday's show got my coffee. Ali Moreno and myself all went for an Atalanta win, therefore you kind of knew that Villarreal would get the job done and leave us all a little bit embarrassed Frank. That's why you should tune in to watch GSP and FC every single day. Yeah, exactly. Because the truth of the day is not the one of the day after, you know, but I really enjoy it as well, the game like Jules said, you know, that was a fantastic game. It could have been any side in a way that I think the team was the most effective one, but Atalanta hit the post twice in the crossbar once. It could have gone the other side, you know, if they've been a little bit more fortunate, it was a really fantastic game. The crowd was absolutely fantastic, even a three year against Atalanta. They were cheering them up. I think it was great to follow. It sat for Atlanta, but it gives a chance like maybe we'll see two years ago when the Republican won it. So maybe if the change fight Atlanta to go through and to go to your colleague and maybe win it. And that will be absolutely fantastic for that team and that's it. Jan? Well, yeah, I think that is interesting to see the last 16 now. You can see that with Germany just one team, Salzburg in there. I was insults for yesterday and I saw the young wild Salzburg. There is an average age of 22 in there. It's unbelievable. They knocked out Seville, although severe have a big, big talent in the 48th and then they just went up and in more or less the next attack to score. But what about our rope a league next year with Atalanta with Barcelona with dwarf mood with severe arupa league? It's good for them and we were thinking yesterday, but so yeah, I think there is a home game, the final bill Xavier. So I guess the severe just felt well. Okay, let's take Europa League again. I'm obviously and I'm sure those teams are delighted to be in the Europa League as well, right? I'm not sure they are delighted. I'm not sure that Ellen Harlem looks forward to make his stats going up a Lake, I'm not sure that Savi will think that it's a great thing to do. But they deserve it. Both Dortmund, they're winning 5 now this match there, but they've been terrible throughout the qualification and Barcelona against Bayern Munich. Well, that is FC embarrassment. Well, have you just heard from it? You know what? I'm sorry, Kate, but do you know it's very interesting to see in a football player of point of view where you know when you play for Dortmund? Are you playful at amber? Do you want to go through in a Champions League and be this out of the business in a quarterfinal or have a chance to win a Civil War at the end of the season because of the Europa League? I think, you know, what makes you being having been a football player is also what you want during your career. And you still lose every time in a qualifying law or the last 16 in the Champions League. It doesn't make anything. It doesn't put anything in your resume. If you win three times or four times the Europe is not that bad. So people should get more credit about that trophy. And what a dream. I think just a quick comment. And I think that's the more the dream Frank. If you can go all the way as Tottenham did as I X nearly did against talking, by the way, in that semifinal. So I think it's a dream and go all the way. So I'm not sure that the aeroplane will be seen. As you say, you can put on a resume, but still a bit B, BI is all over it. Yeah, well, let's take a look then at the teams that have made the last 16 as we know very well with the last team to book their spot. We see the group winners and the group run us off.

"You have nothing to say about the goal. The referee did what they had to do. And I have nothing to say about that. It's a goal, but now in a way you want to do a second. Another second. I just want to finish. The players don't have to stop because they don't see anything. But nobody saw if it was a serious injury or not, because nobody see that. And this was the same for Xerox Wendy can you stop the goal? Because. So it was serious or not. I just want to say that it's not about the players. Everything was perfect in a perfect world. It just my romantic way of seeing football where does goal is stupid because maybe there are no fantasy comedian actor and didn't do what he had to do, but at the end of the day, there is an injury. He's a stupid goal. He would have been on his feet and he wouldn't have been a goal because I don't think he's probably would have scored. But it's just thinking about what I've been for me. What I've been for me, the best thing to do. My friend. I'm not talking about the players. Frank, why punish arsenal when Fred is the one from his own team that kicks his own goalkeeper? After the goal is given you are tattoo could say to his players, led Manchester United go up the other end because of this injury which nobody knew was that was that serious. Mind you Frank to that point at the when the game is kicking off for the ghoul and Tata has seen the injury, the hair is back on his feet, standing on his goal line, so everybody in the stadium knows. It's not that serious. So while your point is, there's no way that anybody knew how serious the injury was by the time the ball is back on this spot by the time the game resumes, everybody knows 'cause the hair's back in cool. So at this point, Arteta who I'm sure give me technology has seen these I see the incident has seen the hair getting magic spray and back on his goal line. That's not his responsibility. Meanwhile, Don, it was a good win for Manchester United ahead of a new era beginning for them. Did you notice any differences today in the game in the gameplay united? Well, quickly, I just want to jump in on the debate because I mean, I mean, I can't. I don't know what world I'm living in a game against arsenal versus man united. Frank once arsenal to give a goal to man united and that sort of situation when Fred felt thousands on goalkeeper, absolutely ridiculous and what I have to say as well, brilliant referee and for Martin Atkinson because he thought he'd just about went to blow the whistle and then he realized and then he waited until the ball was over the line. So then they checked it by vault and they said legitimate goal. When I no idea what Frank's living in what he thinks asked, we're going to give my new goal. But it was a brilliant game. What I have to say, okay, the game was sensational. You know, these young arsenal players went to Old Trafford and Martinelli. I know Ronaldo got two and he got his brace and he was very good and dala was good at right back and was a good performers. But I thought Martinelli and Smith row and Erdoğan early on in the game were absolutely sensational. Should the field had done by then done it all. Arsenal for not taking more from this match. They should have done because it was a ridiculous penalty that Erdoğan give away. It was a lazy tackle. It was just fading in the game. He got a bit tired. Fred was quite streetwise and the fact that he stood still and forced the contact, but it was a stupid fail to give away. So you're looking at a two two and man united president time were there to be beat. Arsenal were on top in the first half, they were on top in the second half. And in the end, I think you'll hear Mikhail Arteta praises young players because to go away to Old Trafford and dominate the ball and create some really good chances. I think you'll take lots of positive. They've got spanked against Liverpool a couple of weeks back, and that was a lesson. But it can be pleased on how his young team performed tonight. I thought, Frank, do you think that Asuka would deny the penalty that they should have had when Maguire took down tomoyasu? Of course. It's crazy. I don't know what people are doing on the booth. You know, for the war, because you have to be blind to not willing to call the referee and say, oh, well done, hold on a second. You know, there is a foul. A big one. And of course, the penalty. He has to be a penalty. And just to jump on the under God think, I think it's why we never ask Ali Moreno you're going to keep spawn and as Angela to come down and tackle, you know, when you are not a defender, because we can see it with other God, they don't know how to tackle, and they make stupid mistakes. Thank you, Frank. Thank you. That's the first and last time that my name has ever been mentioned alongside Jurgen Klinsmann and Alessandro del Piero. Thank you. Thank you very much. You see, you see, the same level for me. Same level. No problem. No ranks, no rings. You're done. Who's well Frank, make impressed with tonight after that game for united. Do you know what I don't think many K I think you look at that game tonight? And I think he analyzed the game and he'll watch it back again. I'm gonna be watching thinking, I've got a lot of hard work ahead of me. Bruno Fernandes was really good. But there's lots of bad performers. I thought Maguire looked a little bit average. I thought Lindelof the same.

"Say sure. But of course it would be great news. You know, because most teams in that situation would dress people up, put out the Muppet show. But this is Byron. This is a team that's convinced that the way you respect your opponents is by going in walloping them as much as you can as hard as you can for as long as you can. So I wouldn't take anything for granted. Yeah, by and don't have much depth. But you know what? They're out of the German cup. I don't think they've got some great urgency to go and rest players, even if they do change things up. I don't think they're going to let up at all. So whatever happens, whoever's in charge because remember that when we next see these guys in the Champions League it's going to be after the break. Maybe chavi will be over after leaving outside. Maybe won't be. I think they're going to have face a tough tough test. I've been thinking won't be easy either, obviously. No, but it'll be a huge test. In week 5, kind of a winner takes all almost Sally situation. As barsa take on Benfica. Right. And this is when perhaps will remind people of what the game looked like against Benfica away from home. And was a disaster for Barcelona, perhaps a low point this season in that, okay, if you lose to buy in Munich in Champions League, look, maybe you didn't belong on the same field, maybe that was a setback. But you can live with that. Loosening the manner in which you did against Benfica, that is one of those that you just kind of go all my goodness. This is going in the wrong direction. And so but here it is. A home game against menfi and this is really where you decide whether you advance or do not advance. And I guess if you're Barcelona after losing the first couple of matches and your group stage, then the best thing that you could hope for has happened that you want your next two magic and then will give that Benfica struggle along the way that now you're in second place and you hold the cars. It is up to you. At home, come now against my fika, if indeed you're serious about advancing in this competition. This is a game you should win. Then again, this is also the same team that I've been telling you, you know what? Even though there's been some struggles, you should be better than Iowa you can not. And you haven't been. You should be better than all of this, and you haven't been. So there are reasons to be optimistic if your Barcelona, but then there's a realist in me saying no game for this team for the foreseeable future is going to be an easy task. Ali Moreno was always a thank you very much, just a reminder..

"Welcoming? Then ESPN AFC is indeed back Brian McBride and Ali Moreno, it's like Like I I had had. the new season this week and let later on the program citizens to look at it to the classic a shocker previewing, the north London dob a boys let start show with the new MLS's and just around the corner. And it always seems fans or something we some prediction oh regardless back Tuesday win. As well. Solve that. We saw the tone. We always want a few. Of. Puncture nita's is give us a predictions as she'll be automating minds. MLS showy Alejandro Moreno says Atlanta United now. Alexandra Moreno who was particularly on with the decision to hi- Frank double correct. And will they win it in spine to Frank? Look I thought that they were better choices that suited the personnel that they have available in that locker room. I thought that those were choices would have been more appropriate for Atlanta United. However, this is about talent on the field. And now a frantic for is just able to get his message across and the players are willing and capable of executing that game plan out on the field that talent level for this team is higher than that of everybody. Everybody else's in Emily's. And so therefore talent wins out when everything all else is equal talent wins out. And Atlanta United has endorsed what astounded at team as there is in this league. There's their ceiling is much higher than everybody else's. So therefore, yes, another MLS Cup run. And if you have to go on play in that stadium in an MLS Cup final. Good luck the consent. I suppose for Atlanta fans, and you know, this from within locker instant success O'Brien is that if he starts trying to change too much. And the play is saying, well, hey, look, we won't lost Jae by doing it this way you'll coming in your sending us that way. Is that where the concern would be? Yeah. I think also the fact, and I know you bring in pity, but you lose them or on. I think that's another fact how well he integrates into the team. But yes, I think as a coach you always come into a team, and you wanna put your own stamp on on that particular group of players, and you're exactly right in the sense that they have a process that that worked out extremely well. And ended up after two years winning a MLS Cup and to change that completely. I think would be completely wrong to Atlanta's credit. I think they understand that they hired someone that's not from Latin America, Hispanic, but certainly has the same ideas as far as the keeping the ball making sure that everybody is on the field is as a unit working together both with the ball. And when they don't have the ball. But yeah. But yeah, I think if you are going to see somewhere throughout the season where there's an issue that would probably be the issue of a coach trying to do too much if we're playing a pick up game race s. "Bishen ESPN see layer on the show be reacting that needs a hurricane is out until March. But for now, we're joined by Ali Moreno, Craig Burley. We also can gab Markazi to the show Gabor in under twenty four hours time. It is the Italian SuperCup eventers taking on AC Milan. One name is dominating all the headlines going into this game. And it's the future of Gonzalo Eguaveon every time we've had you on you say shut up, Dan. There's nothing in this. Chelsea I'm gonna pay the money. It's not going to happen. He gives a little tip. It just maybe just maybe this could actually go ahead. There's nothing in this. There's a lot in this in the sense that Modi would like to have gone follow Egwu guanosine. But he'll be the first tell you. He's not the guy paying the salaries I can tell you what needs to happen for him to go. Meet I need to find a replacement. We're not there yet. You've end just have to agree a fee with Chelsea it's going to be forty five million euros is going to be the minimum asking price on this event is somehow takes discount, which they really can't do for a county reasons that is of money that Chelsea say, they don't wanna pay for players beyond a certain age beyond that there's Egwu anes wages. The guy makes an absurd amount of money. We're in the Premier League he'd be one of the three highest paid players right now, and he's got two and a half years on his contract. And he's over and he's thirty one years of age and on top of that Chelsea to figure out how to extend the contract. Callum Hudson DOI Eden hazard, maybe William to and they've been out of the Champions League in two of the past three years. All these things need to be resolved. It's not just just enough for him to stop his fingers and say, look, I'm longer happy here. I wanna move, and you know, what as far as Gonzalo he and his brother who keep yakking away. If you're so sad Milan. You know, how you can make this happen. Go out and take a freaking pay Cup. Go ahead. Do that take the first step forward? I think at this stage. That is the only way this deal gets done. From Chelsea perspective. If they didn't get it done gob has thing is it not worth their while considering their only six points ahead with regards to the Champions League spot. Is it not worth that investment regarding the big picture of Chelsea football club to get them in the champions? They which will help them keep has odd. For example, as you mentioned, it seems to be a no brainer considering the problems they have which strikers at the moment. No, I don't think the numbers work like that at all. Because if you're gonna be on the hook for e Guarini for for another two and a half years. He's gonna cost you something like north of forty million pounds in wages alone. Plus the fee itself, you know, the Champions League is lucrative important. But as you said, they're only six points. A head six points ahead is a lot of points, and it's gone. Nothing's. Nothing's guaranteed. But maybe they can find another striker temptations there at a certain price. You like him at another price. At least this is what Chelsea are saying officially we can't do the deal and on top of that what everybody's forgetting is that Milan. Have a saying on this. This is well because he is there player on chill June thirtieth. So all these things put together suggests to me that I mean, unless somebody all of a sudden change are changing their mind. This is extremely extremely unlikely. And I saw the champions e convincing Eden hazard to stay has played in the Champions League. If you leaves he's going to move to another Champions League club most likely, so I don't think that matters if he leaves if he leaves then you've got to get someone else saying and surely alert of champions football. It's time for bridge is better than the euro polygamy by a by Janelle somewhat. Sure. Yeah. I don't think it is what it what it used to be. I think now these days players, especially if they're moving to the Premier League what they care about is being able to play the primarily being played being able to play on on a team with a manager..
