A Kennedy is on the ballot in Massachusetts. Here's why he's not guaranteed a victory.

"And out front up next we're. Just. From one of the most closely watched primaries this year a young Kennedy on the ballot in Massachusetts but can he unseat a seventy four year old incumbent? Because it's about ideas I am the youngest guy. In. This race. Tonight and the fight for twenty twenty a usual dynamic emerging Massachusetts ahead of tomorrow's Democratic Senate primary. The incumbent in his seventies was support from progressives, his challenger young and Kennedy Manu. Raju is out front. The Hiroshima Political Dynasty the grandson of the leap Robert F Kennedy campaigning to serve in the Senate like his famous great uncles and grandfather before him the. Certainly. I think you're doing great job. Hello. The candidate he's right there. For Life Magazine. Thirty nine year old Joe. Kennedy is facing something unexpected. Seventy four year old senator who has been in Congress for almost forty four years. Has Managed to galvanize support of young voters. Ahead of Tuesday's Massachusetts Senate primary I think that a lot of young people that are our age at least. From from our town have been similarly really inspired by Ed Markey polls show Senator Ed Markey as the favourite threatening to make the four term. The first Kennedy to lose a race in Massachusetts unlike other primaries this year were democratic incumbents have been ousted by liberal newcomers. Marquis has managed to turn that dynamic on its head because it's about ideas. I am the youngest guy. In this race Alexandria, it's been murky seizing the mantle of the insurgent, touting his support of liberal causes at the green new deal and endorsement of the progressive firebrand. Alexandria Cossio Cortes such the green new deal that I introduced Alexandria Cossio. Healthcare justice is on the ballot. That's Medicare for all that I next the Bernie. Sanders. When he introduced it yet, it's been Kennedy with the badging of the party establishment leader Speaker Nancy Pelosi Allies have been frustrated that marquee has not been held to account for full record over four decades like his backing of the Iraq war in two thousand and two the NAFTA deal in one, thousand, nine, hundred, ninety, three, his position on racial issues like school desegregation dating back to the nineteen seventies progressive willing to look those hurdles that's up to a progressive movement. Out. I think an awful lot of folks in many parts of Massachusetts have a different view of that records and what that means to our communities after going door to door in working class Boston neighbors weekend. Kennedy. Accused Marquis of abandoning the state. He's been less time in the state than anybody else delegation in an interview with CNN Marquis fired back there is. No real record of Congressman Kennedy in his eight years leading on issues of of generational change in Washington Kennedy has waited until late in the campaign to stress that it's his family I. Guess It's a fighting. His blood wants to continue in the Senate tried to be really clear that it's GonNa Balance It's not my father, my grandfather brothers or anybody else and. You vote for me you're going to get now Kennedy does pull off an upset on Tuesday night it could be thanks in part to the fact that he is allies have spent more on television advertising than Markey and his allies roughly two million dollars more. But if he loses what Kennedy will do next still an open question we posed that question to him he didn't want to entertain it and said, he looks forward to running through the finish line and celebrating on Tuesday night.

Israel bans entry to two Muslim US congresswomen over their criticism

"This past weekend the top republican in the house congressman kevin mccarthy appeared in jerusalem alongside his democratic counterpart house house majority leader steny hoyer and said that the two women should be allowed to visit israel. This is how the israeli newspaper arts covered. Those comments quote u._s. u._s. House leaders back netanyahu's decision to let to leave an omar enter israel so certainly seemed like a done deal as of this weekend but this morning the president tweeted quote it would show great weakness if israel allowed congressman omar congresswoman to lead to visit claiming that trump claiming the pair quote hate israel and all ghoulish people noting donald trump wants insisted that at least some of the white supremacist and neo nazis who marched in charlottesville virginia group who walked the the street carrying torches and chanting jews will not replace us. We're quote very fine people. You also reportedly told the former president of his casino quote the only kind of people i want counting counting. My money are short guys that we're young because every day well today shortly after the president's tweets netanyahu reversed course and did trump's bidding officially barring congresswomen i women to leave and omar from israel the move garnered strong criticism from republican and democratic lawmakers and even the powerful pro israel lobby group apec called called it a mistake after stating that it disagreed with the two lawmakers apec added quote we also believe every member of congress should be able to visit and experience our democratic critic ally israel firsthand. It's perhaps not surprising. That trump is wielding this power by the way to retaliate against the first. Two women muslim women ever elected to congress. Don't forget one of the centerpieces of his presidential. Campaign was a proposed ban on all muslims entering the united states until we can quote figure out what the hell is going on. Trump has repeatedly targeted to lebron omar specifically along with two other congress women of color alexandria cossio cortes says and i on a presley even telling him to go to quote go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came all all four women are american citizens.

"Mitch mcconnell. Put Alexandria Cossio. Cortes is green new deal. Up for a vote today. Democrats want it. Then vote for it. That of course, also forced a discussion of what exactly is in it. Which was a bit embarrassing for Alexandria, Cossio Cortez. Because she was touting the green new deal. We only have twelve years left. We'd better. Hurry. We're all gonna die. Senator Ted Cruz was chairing the meeting. When he called upon Senator, Mike Lee. To make remarks about the green new deal. Now, folks. We should never lose to the party that proposes ideas like this. This was Senator might lease moment. So lengthy clip Mon you're gonna play it. I'm gonna take the rest of this segment. And much of the next one. I know it's boring. Senatorial words on the floor of the Senate. But it's worth knowing what's in that. Crazy Bill taken away. Senator Mike Lee Senator from Utah. Mr President fear has become an all too prevalent quality in American political discourse. And unfortunately fear is unavoidable. When debating the substance of the resolution before this body today. That is climate change socialism and the green new deal on a entering this debate. I have a little fear in my heart as well. But Mr President my fear at this moment, maybe just a little different than that of some of my colleagues. Unlike some of my colleagues, I'm not immediately afraid of what carbon emissions unaddressed might do tour environment in the near term future our civilization or our planet in the next few years. Unlike others, I'm not immediately afraid of what the green new deal due to our economy, and our government after all this isn't going to pass not today. Not anytime soon, certainly. Rather? After reading the green new deal, I mostly afraid of not being able to get through this speech with a straight face for Mr President. I rise today to consider the green new deal with the seriousness. It deserves. This is of course, a picture a former president Ronald Reagan. Naturally firing a machine gun while riding on the back of a dinosaur. You'll notice a couple of important features here. First of all, the rocket launcher strapped, the President Reagan's back, and then the stirring unmistakable patriotism of the philosopher raptor, holding up a tattered American flag, a symbol of all means to be an American critics might quibble with this depiction of the climactic battle of the Cold War because while awesome. In real life. There was no climactic battle battle with or without philosopher raptors the Cold War as we all know was one without firing a shot. But that quibble actually serves our purposes here today, Mr President because this image has as much to do with overcoming communism in the twentieth century as the green new deal has to do with overcoming climate change in the twenty first. The expirations of the proposal have been called radical. They've been called extreme. But mostly they're ridiculous. There isn't a single serious idea here not one to illustrate let me highlight two of the most prominent goals produced by the plan's authors goal number one. The green new deal calls essentially for the elimination of airplanes. This might seem merely ambitious for politicians who represent the densely populated northeastern United States, but house it's supposed to work for our fellow citizens who don't live somewhere between Washington DC and Boston. And a future without air travel. How are we supposed to get around the vast expanses of say Alaska during the winter? Well, I'll tell you how. Tontons Mr President. This is the beloved species of reptiles mammals native to the ice planet of Hof. Wall perhaps not as if isn't in some ways as airplanes or a snowmobiles hairy bipedal species of space lizards offer their own unique benefits, not only are Tom carbon carbon-neutral. But according to a report a long time ago and issued far far away. They may even be fully recyclable and usable for their warpath, especially on a cold night. What about Hawaii isolated two thousand miles out into the Pacific Ocean under the green new deals effective airplane prohibition? How are people they're supposed to get to and from the mainland, and how are they supposed to maintain that significant portion of their economy based on tourism? At that distance swimming, would of course, be out of the question and jet skis are notorious gas guzzlers, no all residents of Hawaii would be left with is this. This is a picture of a man. A superhero from the undersea kingdom of Atlantis and notably here a founding member of the super friends, I draw your attention, Mr President. To the twenty foot. Impressive seahorse. He's writing. Under the green new deal. This is probably Hawaii's best bet. Now. I'm the first to admit that a massive fleet of giant highly trained seahorses would be cool. It would be really really awesome. But we have to consider a few things we have no idea about scale ability or domestic capacity in this sector. The last thing we want is to ban all airplanes. And only then find out that China or Russia may have already established strategic hippocampal programs designed to cut the United States out of the global market. Mr president. We must not allow and cannot tolerate a giant horse gap. Goal. Number two. The green new deal anticipates the elimination of all cows. Talking points released by the sponsors of the resolution today. It was introduced cited the goal of quote fully getting rid of and I'll paraphrase a little bit here. Flagellating cows. Now, Mr President I share their concern. But honestly, I think you've got to remember that if the house smell bad, just wait until they get a whiff of the seahorses. What starts as save the environment? We're all going to die ends up legislation real.

Meet Lauren Underwood, the 32-year-old Democrat hoping to shake up politics

"Inskeep. When Representative Lauren Underwood welcomed us into her office. She was just finishing lunch at her desk. She's a new member of the house, and she's one reason Democrats won control last fall. She captured the fourteenth district of Illinois which had been reliably Republican. Her reward is a modest office space near the capital and a chance to share a Washington apartment. The roommate. Another house freshmen California's Katie hill, are you living this kind of insane sort of grown up college life of it is not even MAC glamorous. We are scheduled from like seven thirty AM to probably ten ten thirty pm both get home very late. Unlike do you remember that meeting that happened at ten AM wasn't that so crave? And she is like e Agra not that glamorous. Maybe but under what is among the young diverse house freshmen who've made a lot. Of this year's political news. She medicine the brief downtime between her Caesar salad and a press conference. She's thirty two born in nineteen Eighty-six, a former nurse. I am black. I know I'm black fourteenth. Now, I'm black, and I am a millennial no woman. And so do I have an interesting perspective on issues that impact? Those demographic groups directly sure, although Underwood says she can represent people who identify differently. She faces a different situation than her outspoken, fellow freshman, Alexandria, Cossio Cortes, who represents a safely democratic district in New York Underwood is more typical of the Democrats who flipped seats in two thousand eighteen she's from a mid western district of suburbs and farms with a minority of people of color. It's congressman was once Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert in two thousand sixteen the district voted for President Trump. The reason we visited Underwood. Was to hear how a democrat works to fit that district. I want to note that you're doing something that in American politics was really rare until recent years, and that is you are an American African American, and you're representing an overwhelmingly white district. We haven't seen that happen in the congress, and yet and this hundred sixteen congress, I'm not the only one end so representations important, and the idea that only certain folks can be representatives is one that I think that we have worked to completely redefine her district extends from Chicago suburbs to the Illinois prairie, and she says she is determined to support mostly white farmers as anybody else. Well, I think that there's a lot of issues that help communities of color that also helped our community. She campaigned by saying she would better stand up for the district's interests than the Republican incumbent when President Trump's trade war affected, Illinois farmers. She. Brought it up. She noticed the separation of migrant families at the border captured her district's attention. So she brought that up to in this district that the cook political report rated as an plus five and was a lean Republican until the weekend before the election. We won every county even the most rural. There are people who supported us who have never voted for a democrat before we have people who will never ever ever ever. Call of south the democrat people who voted for Donald Trump voted for you two hundred percent hundred percent. And this is about representation and values and for us that issue was so straight it with healthcare, and what happened and the spring seventeen around of Amakhir care repeal, and, you know, our prior representatives votes on the. American Healthcare Act. Do you think you're to the left of the average voter in your district when it comes to healthcare? You've said if I'm not mistaken, you might like Medicare for all if it could be done. But I bet the average Republican would not like that. I don't think. So I would challenge that statement because I believe that healthcare is a human, right? And based on conversations, and I had many of them might you throughout the year and a half that Iran that a lot of people believe that as well. Do you need to talk about healthcare in a particular way to avoid those kind of hot button phrases that set people on the words, we use matter, and I've cautioned a lot of my colleagues here about literally the words will be used to talk about issues that we care about. Right. Student loan debt is an issue that is not partisan. It is very clear, and it's impacting so many individuals families. Few start calling things free or for all we loosen people. We can talk about the solutions in a way that's inclusive. Right. So what have we talk about creating a modern financial aid system? Well, we have Pell grants that reflect the true cost of college. And we have subsidized student loans that fill that gap. Some people might call that free college for everybody or whatever. But the people that speak in these like, hashtag, e type phrases, do not always have lots of solutions underneath it. The hashtag is the polarizing thing it may draw some support to the idea, but it also drives people and I'm into solutions, and I am happy to speak in paragraph statements to talk about the solutions because guess what problems are not always straight it at one hundred forty characters and solutions are not always illustrated and hundred forty characters this lawmaker who carefully considers what to say chose to say very little about. Another lawmakers choice of words the day. We met Laura and Underwood was the day last week when the house voted to criticize. Antisemitism. The resolution answered remarks by Underwood's fellow freshman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota that issue divided Democrats and Underwood was determined not to give it anymore fuel. Did she go too far? I don't have a comment. You don't. I don't. You've been pretty Frank on every other issue Frank on this one. And why what do you mean? You mean, you you don't know what to think about it? Comment on it in the end, Lauren Underwood like other Democrats voted for the resolution condemning antisemitism and other forms of hate. But as she represents what is now swing district one expected

"Not this summer. But next summer, he needs to acquaint himself with the area and know all the places that that he is going to watch out. And yes in researching that joke, I was shocked to by the sheer number of gentlemen's clubs in Milwaukee. I guess I didn't realize they worth that many. Now what I was a little concerned about was producer. Dave while I was running down that list was nodding his head be like. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Heartbreakers? That's a good one. Yeah. Gold diggers that one must be new. I've never how many strip clubs have you gone to in your day. He's pleading the fifth right now. I mean, you've got you've gotta be accommodating for our guests and with a former president in town. We wanna make sure now are they already are are these place. If I'm silk exotic downtown, I am already clearing out the VIP room from what is July thirteenth through the seventeenth just assuming that Clinton and his entourage. You'll Bill Clinton's not even going to get he's not going to get a hotel room at the Pfister. I think they're just gonna put a cot at silk exotic downtown, and he's just gonna sleep there. He can walk right to the Pfizer forum in in the morning. I think. So many jokes. So many jokes. It's undeniably. A great thing that the DNC is going to be here. Not just because of our wide variety of adult entertainment that President Clinton can enjoy but because of the infusion of money, I mean, these people are all going to be spreading the wealth around. They're all going to be dining in Milwaukee's fine establishments. They're all going to be staying in hotels. But I'm confused because are they really going to be spending all this money since they see capitalism as fundamentally immoral. I mean, look at Alexandria Cossio Cortes in her appearance at south by southwest down in Austin, Texas, over the weekend said fundamentally capitalism is irredeemable isn't to me is it's an ideology of capital it puts capital. The most important thing is the concentration of. Capital? And it means that we seek and prioritize prophet and the accumulation of money above all else, and we seek it at any human and environmental cost that is what that means. And to me that ideology is not sustainable and cannot be redeemed. I again, I just want to publicly reiterate I don't need any of those gentlemen's clubs. I just need this woman's stupidity. There's a very famous scene from the Simpsons where the the drunk character. Barney wins a year's supply of Duff beer, and he says hook it to my veins hook this woman stupidity right to capitalism. It's like all about capital, and it puts capital before people. She actually went on to say that democratic socialism that's about democracy. You're just taking the word to define the word. That's not how. Does anybody? Honestly think that this woman has seriously thought more than about ten minutes about anything she's talking about. But this this raises an interesting point. Will the DNC since Milwaukee is going to be the beneficiary of all this money that's flowing in will they be sharing some of that money with less fortunate cities, for example. Since most people are going to be staying in the city of Milwaukee. Or certainly Milwaukee county will the Democrats in the city of Milwaukee be sharing the wealth with save Madison. Waukesha. I dunno Claire lacrosse, you would think we spread that wealth around. It's just so obvious that none of these people actually practice what they preach and south by south west Alexandria, Cossio Cortez who wants to ban air travel in ten years. I I assume she took a bicycle down there. She take an Amtrak train or did she fly? I had a column. Back in late August at the McIvor institute. Macgyver institute dot com. Now, reposted it on my social media, Facebook and Twitter at Dan O'Donnell show on both. I said Milwaukee is the absolute perfect place for the twenty twenty democratic national convention because it perfectly illustrates, and we'll illustrate to the entire country what democratic policies can do. Milwaukee has had a Republican mayor since one thousand nine hundred eight and it's common council has been dominated by liberals for nearly as long meaning the Democrats can showcase his city that they've totally controlled for more than a century their policies, and their policies alone are responsible for making Milwaukee the city that it is today. The tents worst city in America in which to live each year. The news and commentary website twenty four seven Wall Street measures cities on a wide ranging index of socioeconomic conditions, including crime rates economics, education levels..

"Urine love we're all in love together. We've done something that nobody's ever. President Trump goes to see is just a theme of that. Isn't it in the guardian? Of course, they put up President Trump's oddest comments that we think there's greatest hits someone who was in the audience for Trump's to our plus longest speeches ever given like that at CPAC over the weekend. Conservative grassroots big conference is our friend. Senator Ted Ariella, Colorado is a former state Senator and now the largest pro-trump pack in America, the committee to defend the president's Senator Harvey how the heck was it. All. It was a crazy morning. The guy is seventy two years old and has more stamina than you would ideal and he gets more or less than analysts combined. It's unbelievable. He was traveling all over the world. He just got back from Vietnam the night the day before and then he comes onstage in talks for over two hours. It was unbelievable to watch this president get up there and hold captive in three thousand five thousand people in that room for over two hours. It was incredible. So just explained a little bit for people who might not know exactly what CPAC we'll get back to the president. Well, CPAC is a conference the conservative political action committee that is annual in Washington DC over ten thousand people showed up for this five thousand of those ten thousand were under the age of twenty five it is it was. I'm sorry. Ten thousand total five thousand of which were under the age twenty five that's mom. That speaks volumes of of the grass roots youth across this country at a rising and saying this whole narrative that the Democrats and the media is going out with the millennials don't care about the markets. They care about is socialism and free south east. Kids a rising up and saying no, we support commonsense remark it principles that this country was founded upon and it was exciting to be there and see that many kiss willing to fight for this country. Well, you know, we hear so much from the mainstream media lab. Let's see how this it just seems like everybody if you watch Hollywood won't show you watch mainstream media. It's just almost inherent that Trump's crazy. He's a madman. We don't like him. But that's just the narrative we hear from that. It's not what truly goes on in the flyover skates. Of course, the states that they want to minimize the by eliminating the electoral college, which is a whole other segment that you know, because of what you do that. That's not the real story. But even were you even surprised at some of the like, you said millennials who came out there were really they're saying we're not going to let you go Trump. Here's to Trump twenty twenty. It was very heartening to see that many young people there. But also African Americans were there in massive numbers Hispanics for their massive numbers. This whole narrative that the Democrats have been trying to balkanize our country based on race, and and gender and age is crazy because that is not the America that the president sees when he goes out all across the country, and there's twenty seven thirty five thousand people filling up auditoriums every time he goes out there. He's seeing the heartbeat of the country of all ages all races, and that that is America. Those are the people that are rallying behind this. The Democrats are are I think trying to balkanize this country because they don't have a winning message for all of Americans. They're just going after their fringe. Oh, tell me about it Senator Harvey. You know, it strikes me we'll get back to CPAC and among the people like Alexandria Cossio Cortes, bringing her up again. Mainstream media loves our rights, but you get these people in office in the brand new. They have no new ideas. So what did they do? What are their big ideas? You know, we're gonna take more of your money. How about seventy eighty ninety percent? And then we're we're going to take it. And we're we want with it. No new idea. So that's where all that junk comes from. I mean, we need some people some smarts in congress, and they're not our leaders there are representatives. Amen. Amen. That what the Democrats all the Democrats have is we're going to investigate the president right up can tell twenty twenty I tried to break down this president in rod with the narrative that he is an agent of the Russians, which is absolutely ridiculous. Or there are other narrative is vote for us. We'll give you all this free stuff. Whether it's free education, whether it's free health care, whether it's three housing, whether we're going to eliminate the energy industry to fossil fuel industry, and you'll have to take trains to why and trait take trains to Europe. The Democrats are so whacked out right now at at across the board at the highest levels of the of the democrat party that I think it's going to backfire against the Democrats come twenty twenty. And I think you're gonna see a huge walkaway movement for moderate Democrats and moderate unaffiliated voters. It really is going to be edge of our seats. Ewing, just sort of like the Nike got elected. But still, you know, it's still confounds me Ted that we are almost twenty twenty next year. How fast is that? Already at the doorstep of the next election to the to the question. Segue to to this piece when you saw the president, give me a speech. He was hilarious. How he was going after this green new deal wove it through the entire message. You know, he's hoping the Democrats go out and bring this deal to the American people. Tell the American people how great this is that he supports it. One hundred percent. He's there to help the Democrats push this deal and that they want to do away with cars. They want to do away with airplanes. They want to stop all fossil fuel use and take that to the American people and run on that issue. And then he hit the period, and he goes, and I hope to God, I'm the Republican they can run against them on that issue. So hilarious to watch him. Totally trawl the Democrats on this issue because it's true at every one of the democrat candidates running for president right now are co signers of the Bill, and then they don't want McConnell to bring it up to a vote and get anybody on recorded though. Because they want to cosponsor it's the look good to their base. But God forbid they actually ever recorded vote on it show, the American people that they yes, they are that radical who they would vote for such a crazy thing as the green new deal. They bring it forward. It is. But you know, what concerns me Ted is something called the Overton window. And that's what we accept as norm which way too crazy now what's not crazy in that changes over the years and decades, and I worry about the socialism stuff the Overton window. And also, by the way, he was looking for President Trump the full speeches online. If you look, and I did also notice you can get the whole day like nine hours like one chunk of nine hours week and watch the whole day of CPAC whether whatever day, it is the other thing that I thought was so funny that Trump dead was when he said he was mocking Alexander Cossio Cortez. And saying, oh, the wind has the wind blowing today Honey of so maybe we can watch TV. He just had quit after quit. He was hilarious. And what an incredible storyteller. He is. He would go off one rabbit trail, and and other rabbits rail and still be able to come back to what.

"The Republicans don't remember that. Truer words were never spoken, and whether it's a Republican in congress or a conservative with a column or a site or a radio show or they just they there. There's just an inability to be unified and that allows for more democrat victories. And it's it's as planes the nose on my face. We're the relief factor dot com studios. I guess, but I want to know are you are you prepared for what impeachment is gonna look like in two thousand nineteen. Are you ready for this? I 'cause I've been saying it, and I felt like I'm the lone voice in the wilderness, and now it's really obvious. I mean, here's what he said about the. And she is shrill and in-your-face. Here's what she said about the president and the Russian Vesta Gatien and more check this out. So while he's talking collusion conclusion. I think in oversight we should be talking about taxes tax taxes and his Bank account. He thank accounts banking, financial, statements statements. "So that they are forced to answer and react to her and you put them in a corner right now. So they're either on the record affirming all of this zany nuttiness or you put them in a position where they have to. I mean, what you see with those? Those kids and Dianne Feinstein is the worst. You wanna talk about terrible people doing terrible things to other people terribly. That's the worst of both instincts right there, and elitist politician I've been at this for thirty years. I know what's best. They first of all even asked her the wrong question. If you've been at this for thirty years, why in a damn thing about what you're telling us is going to end the world, then all this time. That's actually the right question to ask from their point of view. All right. She Diane Feinstein's elitism elite elite is elitist progressivism on one end versus this versus a group of kids that have that have clearly been indoctrinated into Colt. They have a religious commitment to this. And so you see the cult of progressivism versus the elitism produced by progressivism at the exact same time. And they can't they can't occupy the same space and the worst of both worlds collide in that clip. That's the dynamic you wanna show the American people right there. So if I were running Trump twenty twenty if I was sitting there in the political office over there at the west wing right now, we are going to day facto make Alexandria Cossio Cortes, the nominee of the Democratic Party. And we're gonna do right now before anybody else's stab themselves before there's ever a vote before there's even a process it's down to one two or three candidates. You're good. Do it right now? And you're gonna make it that they have to answer for her constantly. And it's clear you never wonder when Paul writes to Timothy about the danger of putting people in positions of thority within the church at a young age SP isn't mean numerically because Timothy's a young man. He means spiritually meaning they haven't reached. A point of maturity in their belief system yet you're watching it play out with the rival religion in the culture, progressivism. This woman is not mature in her faith. And so she is literally just checking boxes of Shiva. Let's stereotypes and she's making it harder for them to close the sale with the American people. I talked to two people in my family recently who don't follow much of this at all who don't bring this who who don't we don't even necessarily vote the same way. Sometimes they may even vote at all they brought her up to me unannounced recently. Whoa. To say, she's just that woman's nuts. That's when I'm talking about. That's you make her the face. It doesn't matter who they nominate. She's she's the left. She has. She said, we're the boss, we're in charge. Then make them own that. That's what I would do if I were running the the twenty twenty Republican party political apparatus, which really means Trump twenty twenty because it's all good, you know, orbit around his, you know, his son in this in this case any thoughts on that before we move on. Absolutely. I said the exact same thing about Illinois, Omar a couple of weeks ago. Same thing could be said about her if he is not tweeting about Illinois, Omar, even right Allie actually every single day and just reminding the world forcing the world to remember the things that she has said and tweeted things of that nature if he's not doing that every day. This is does he really want to win. That's that's basically what what the gist of. It is same thing with Alexandria Cossio Cortes. No, she's no longer a fixation of right wing media. This has gotten one into territory where where it's it's their fixation. I mean, she just signed a huge contract with net flicks to make documentary or so, it's it's you know, they're obsessed with her more than we are. I think it's gotten into the territory. Now, we're the reason she keeps getting coverage is because she cannot she has this. She she's just a self parody at this point..

"The Mark laser show along with. My partner in crime, John. So Roseanne recently took to YouTube video that's almost two minutes long. And she basically just writ AFC. I think she's got the that AFC derangement syndrome that you and I were talking about where people are saying, they have Trump derangement syndrome. This is actually starting to happen. Every time you see Alexandria Cossio Cortes. It's one of those things where you're like, you're the top of your head begins to smoke, and it just it's it's fuming, and you and you say, and I think that's becoming a real thing. It's almost like that's kind of what happened with Roseanne Barr here again, like I said, it's almost two minutes on YouTube, but I kinda edited it down, and I had to be about some, you know, some curse words and such. But here here she is in her rant. And this is just a little bit of it that green new deal that that Farrakhan Lovin member. Name the bug eyed realtor, she got an emerald tries Farrakhan fan Israel hater lefty down mass. Democratic socialism does. Now, you just gotta say it. Socialism is a fake con. It's a game and a con game. You said during this you were like, you go is she drunkard, I think she's high. She's a big proponent of using marijuana for to relax. But I'm glad that's her stoned, and relaxed. I'd hate to see a really fired up. Yeah. And that's just that is her tone during the whole thing. She never starts screaming and yelling, and and going crazy. But the stuff that she saying who I mean, it's gloves have come off. And yeah, there's just there's no there's no going. What does she actually mean by this? What does she actually? I mean, it's it's she's talking about how it's a Ponzi schemes. It's all things. What's her name is Scott the bleep and realtor is re-? That's great. I love that realtor is. I think that's you know, the big huge bug eye. Realtor is I'm I don't really even know what realtor is means. But I think she means it means bug eyes. AFC always constantly has an expression on her face. Just accidentally jammed a finger like in her rear just like poker and the but she's kind of like always got that like look to her face. Anyway, that's pretty interesting video from Roseanne Barr. You can see it on YouTube. I'm actually going to put it on my on my blog, which you can go to sixteen WTVN dot com, keyword blazer. And you'll be able to see it there. And yeah, I'll put the unedited version there, and you can watch go up again, it's like almost two minutes or so. So let me at this point. Let's welcome in. Senator state Representative rather Richard Brown out of canal Winchester and Richard Brown. Welcome to the Mark blazer show. Thanks for coming on today. You're welcome. Glad to be here. Mark so house Bill eighty three was introduced you Representative Schafer out of Lancaster. And I think this is a wonderful wonderful thing. Talk to me about house. Bill eighty-three. Thanks. Yeah. This this Bill the overriding purpose and goal is to try to keep our schools. Children safe as they get on and get off the school bus. That's the overriding goal and recently, not only in Ohio and central hall, but also across the nation. More and more kids have been getting hit by vehicles that unlawfully pass school buses when they have the flashing lights on it. When the stop arm is extended in Indiana last fall, there were a four children in a rural road by a person who violated the the law and the three of those kids were killed in one was severely injured, and that's one of the most egregious circumstances. But it's happening more and more around the nation, and certainly in my district as well, which is southeast Franklin county. And so in conjunction with like, my colleague, Tim Schafer, Lancaster, we were thinking what can we do to try to? To help and. We came up with the idea of using cameras on the school buses to help identify the drivers. So that we can properly site and ticket these individuals who violate football. We're talking to Representative Richard Brown out of canal Winchester, it is a huge problem. People are blowing stops on your reds as we call them. If you're a bus driver, the the stop arm people go flying by now, there are cameras inside the bus. But this would be house Bill Eighty-three is to actually have them. So they would shoot the exterior of the bus and actually capture in situations. Like where people are doing dumb stuff like this. That's right. And now in Lancaster city schools. They already are using such a camera and they have three three buses. Never one of the buses is outfitted with the cameras. So they already have this in place. The problem in the reason why there's a need for this legislation. Zante currant Ohio law does. Don't specifically allow will permit the use of the video from the cameras to try to identify the violators. The way Ohio work's currently is that the bus driver..

Now the media are promoting her. She's a twenty nine year old. No, nothing. Reminds me of the the uninformed sort of philosophical, marxists. I went to college with. "Guilty about it. A lot of people are in love with the Alexandria. Cossio cortes. I just got say, oh, I can't say your name. That's fun. So she gave her first speech on the house floor yesterday quickly made C-SPAN history, as it was the most tweeted C-SPAN speech by any congress person since they've been doing that. A lot. Proper, gene, Rickey, usual. But we as we talked about yesterday. She's got a lot of power. She she's got more power than CNN does for instance, at this point with our Twitter following and everything like clearly one of the reasons, I think she's so popular. In addition, the fact that she's attractive, I think that helps her a lot people believe, and you're right to believe this. She means what she says she is sincere. She is not phony. And that's one of the reasons Donald Trump is successful. He meant he wanted to build a wall. He's waiting for it. Now, he meant he wanted to go to battle with China. Even though getting all kinds of grub from all sides. He meant that stuff. Yeah. Authenticity. Invaluable Bernie same way. Warren, Ma the most successful politicians of of recent memory have been people that you think they actually believe that. That's what they that's the to their core. I heard the idea or I'm sorry. I heard the other day that Elizabeth Warren used to be Republican I missed that somehow to well. He's evolved or devolved or something. So getting back to the piece that I love so much about the government shutdown talking about, you know, the key phrase to me is pundits talk as if governments is the most important part of America. Absolutely. What it isn't? Because they believe that. That's their worldview if I could leave the good folks with one thought from the entire run of the Armstrong and Getty show now. Well, over twenty years believe it or not. Is that thought pundits talk as if government is the most important part of America. But it isn't. There was an extra it. Can I take that it up? But it can you edit that after the show, Mike. Thanks. Thanks, buddy. So anyway, Stansell rights during the shutdown when Barack Obama was president government officials were so eager to make a point by inconveniencing people that even stop visitors from entering public parks. I remember that. And we add advocated people just going into the parks and saying arrest me Trump's administration isn't doing that. So PBS found a new crisis trash cans, spilling park services. Can't clean up the mess until congressman president regia do but volunteers appeared to pick up a lot of the trash given a chance. Private citizens often step to do things. Government says only government can do the Washington Post. Ran a front-page headline about farmers reeling because they aren't receiving government support checks, white farmers even get support checks. One. Just face justification is saving family farms. But the money goes to giant farms, the vast majority of gencorp farms government doesn't need to guarantee the food supply and other justification for subsidies most fruit and vegetable farms get no subsidies yet. There are no shortages of peaches plums and green beans subsidies are a scam created by politicians who get money from wheat corn cotton soybean, those farmers should suck it up and live without subsidies to. The people on this farm, then he talks about the New York Times shrieking shutdown curtails FDA food inspection. He mentions the department of agriculture actually does most of the inspecting and meat producers and companies keep their meat safe. Not because they're afraid of the government. But because they'll go out of business the poison their customers chip way, why is poli under such tremendous pressure because the government's yelling at them or because people you may stayed away until it was clear that they're tacos wouldn't give you in Iran. Do you think of Oscar Mayer heard that hey, the aren't inspecting the meat? Go ahead. Sal, green, meet mass that would work as a business model? Yeah. I love this lazy reporters cover politicians. Interviews interviewees are usually in one place. Washington DC interviewing politicians is easier than covering people pursuing their own interests all over America. But those are the people who make America work while pundits and politicians act as if everything needs government intervention. The opposite is true finally points out even security work is done better by the private sector at San Francisco's airport. SFO security lines move faster. Passengers told me sauce all the screeners are nicer the TSA even acknowledged that though screeners are better at finding contraband. That's because San Francisco like Kansas City, Seattle and a dozen smaller airports privatize the screen process. Private companies are responsible for security private contractors are better because they must compete perform badly, and they get fired and as our good friend. Tim Sandefur of the Goldwater institute is pointed out many times. If you fail in the private sector, you get fired or threatened with firing and you get your act together. Or you're fired if you fail in the government sector, you get more money. Yeah. Individually, and as a group if you fail and in the public issue restaurant goes out of business a closes that's gone. If your department fails and government. Yeah. You get a bigger budget. Clearly, you need more money to do what you're doing. You want a little proof? All this. Listen to those those those constitution waving extremists Armstrong and Getty with Iran's. How about if there were an agency I'm making this up this just completely from my imagination. How much you had an agency. That's that was tasked with dealing with. Let's see a group of human beings that was universally respected and loved and it was universally agreed. That we owed it to that group of people to give them everything we had promised. Let's say, for instance, it's veterans. And let's say that administration for veterans was utterly corrupt and abusive and run by liars and cheaters and those who would deny medical care to the very people who've insured our freedom. Now, surely you can fire people in droves. Who did something that horrific and inexcusable you could you could shut that thing down and reopened it a fresh or you can privatize everything it does because everybody agrees. How important it is? And how badly it had been done. Yeah. How's the VA reform going, Mr. and MRs America, I rest my case. So who's favored by how much for the football game. Sean, what do you know? So both the home teams are favored by about three points. The over unders both in the mid fifties. So these are mirror images of each other the over under I of the number of total points will be scored. Yes. And the the homefield advantage typically kind of rule of thumb for Vegas bookmakers is about three points. So these these are essentially pick them games with a slight edge. Onto the home team. All right. So the chiefs are favored by three over the patriots. And the Rams are favored by three over New Orleans. Okay..

Two jobs for individuals who are low skilled on the lower end of the ladder jobs affected in restaurants, jobs affected in homebuilding jobs affected across the board. She claims to be a democratic socialist. She's not for the people. She's free government cheese for reorganizing wealth. So the point I'm making is Alexandria Cossio Cortes and people like her. He's are lightweights. These are truly stupid people, and the fact that they manage to get elected primate park court democrat district that turned to more and more Latino, and they throw it a big fat slob white guy who had his head so far up Pelosi's had knows. That's supposed to be a historic events not a historic event. I'll be right back. Ladies and gentlemen..

"We'll bring down Trump. And you don't know who the voices. He lifts his head up. But he knows he knows exactly who's voice. He looks his head up lifts his head up. And he realizes. This is the best stroke of luck. I could've ever hoped for season ins. Begins. And now, you don't know who's in the jail next to him. But you know that his time in prison. Is not going to prevent him from being a part of this program. So open season three they'll start with congress and Alexandria, Cossio Cortes, and Nancy Pelosi and all that. In somewhere toward the beginning. Or toward the end of episode one season three. You see Michael Cohen in the cell next to him. So now, you've got the old New York Democrat Michael Cohen. You know, when I was mad at Trump and supporting crews in the presidential election. I made the point that Trump's own lawyer couldn't vote for him in New York's primary because he was a registered democrat. Number. And I said at the time the word on that guys. He's a scumbag. Oh, he's not a scumbag. Michael, you're just angry. I'm telling you, his lawyers a scumbag. He's a really bad guy supposed to be not a very good lawyer. But not only that he's a scumbag. He's a really bad, dude. Okay. Well, now everybody hates the guy in. Nobody tells me I don't get to do the I told you so dance. Not that. I would want to. I'm not reminding y'all that I was right. So Cohen turned on Trump Mueller knew he had a weak link in Cohen. Coen's the guy that that that you go in and threaten what turned out Cohen was into so many illegal things that all Mueller had to do is go in and go. Hey, here's all these things. We can charge you with. And you know, co and started crying, but. If you'll turn on Trump. We'll make life a lot easier on you. You still gonna have to serve you're going to prison. Make no mistake. But for a lot less time. So. Cohen is in prison. And he says to his fellow Michael his fellow democrat Cohen now last week Cohen was quoted saying that he so excited that Michelle Obama is going out on the book tour to bring her message of hope to Americans. So now Cohen has an ax to grind he's he's the jilted lover he's out to get Trump. And that's where his future is. That's who's gonna pay his bills is the Trump haters because he has he has leverage over Trump. He's got some things on Trump. They may or may not be any good. But it's like, I'm Orosa. They figure out the Trump crowd eight with you anymore. You've got kicked out. So now, they they go use that. So there's Cohen teaming up in prison with avenue d. Oh, Albany's relevant again. Becomes the mouthpiece? That Cohen.

"The Dana show Yeah I don't know why even Clapper and Brennan. Have, security clearances anyway I don't think that that's politicized to remove. Those at all And then of course. Coming up the Trump threatened, the Iranian president on Twitter. And a tweet was late last night it was like. Super late last night he tweeted in, mostly caps lock quote to. Iranian president Ruhani never ever threaten this is where it's caps lock never ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences, the likes of which few, throughout history have ever. Suffered before we are no longer a country that will stand. For, your demented words violence and death be cautious and that was That was after Rohani had cautioned the United States Sunday about pursuing hostile policies against Tehran saying quote war, with Iran is the mother, of all wars And then the Iranian leader responded you're not in a position to inside the, Iranian nation against blah blah blah blah blah shut up Golly And everybody is mad at Trump because he said something back to Iran after they were blown up mock, US, warships and colonists the great Satan and saying death to, America official government. "I believe because of frustration with the absolute inaction in the additional level of let's say hostility toward people on our southern border we now have democrats like alexandria cossio cortes saying it's time to abolish ice what do you think on this one four one five eight hundred eighty eight ten in joining me on the phone right now is a w james antle the third jim from the washington examiner thanks for coming on to talk about abolish ice what and of course you know you've been writing about this it's my initial re response is you know people on the left it's splitting some of the democrats and the right absolutely loves it they're like yea thanks thanks democrats are saying abolish ice yeah i think that's basically right now it's a reaction hyphen primarily to the family separation and also some of the other ongoing things in the trump administration immigration crackdown but i think when you look at some of the early numbers on it at least it's a it's a situation where it polls about as well as the family separation stuff does which is not very well at all most people don't like to see families separated the border but most people also want there to be at least some conceptually be some kind of immigration enforcement and i think mostly it wouldn't really be an issue for democrats if it remained confined in with people running in very safe democratic districts which are the very first people who've brought this issue to the fore where it becomes a little bit more of a problem is that you have a number of people getting ready to run for the democratic presidential nomination and this is becoming a hot issue on the left and you don't want to really get out flanked on these types of issues especially if you're really tried to demonstrate your level of opposition to what president trump is doing which is something that the democratic base is really evaluating primary candidates on that basis right now they want people to put up a fight against trump and not you know really back down to him or talk about civility or talk about something else they really want people who are going to stand up against trump so if you've got to stand up to trump abolish isis become one of those issues that people are sort of rallying around and i think it will be very difficult for democrats who want to be twenty twenty candidates tonight at least pay some lip service to the issue you know it's very interesting you brought up the this idea that in safe blue districts you can be can louder about abolish facing alexandria ocasio cortez for self said that when when asked about this he was like yeah no i mean you know look if you're in a much more contentious district obviously you're you're not going to say all the same things that i can say in my very safe district right i mean so that that's political reality of what's going on to there's other politics really does play into this whole idea of abolish ice but but even still you know i i have not heard very many there's a very tiny minority here in the bay area the truly believe that we should get rid of ice and have no borders but really when people are saying jason senator elizabeth warren talked about this gym it's like no no no we just need to rethink how we're approaching this right when you look at some of the democratic senators in particular her starting to embrace this concept excuse me they're not going full bore you know no borders nations no deportations what they're saying is that you could reorganize the agency and essentially you could also re prioritize a lot of immigration enforcement that's going on right now because clue clearly while the basic laws have been changed you know the trump administration obviously prioritizes people for removal from country and prosecution who would not have been prioritised under the obama administration at least in the later period of the obama administration at certainly for various periods of the bush administration so you know it can be sort.
