"Hi live from Studio 6B, we're going to do some news with Delgado. I'm seeing tonight breaking about an hour ago that the North Carolina legislature, which the Republicans control, overrides the governor's veto of a bill that was limiting of LGBTQ plus instruction in early grades that the governor had vetoed it while the legislature stepped in and said, no, no, no, we're going to override. They got the votes and they did it. So again, this is why we argued in the midterms that some of these governorships and state legislatures were even more important than whether we held the Senate 5149 or whatever, you know, in some of these reasons, we've all seen what happens, what has happened in Florida over the last couple of years, when you can get things done with an executive and a legislature working hand in hand. And if you look around the country, what the Republicans control as far as governorships and state legislatures, that's why it makes it so maddening and why we have to continually talk about the fact that we always throwing our arms up and going, what are they doing? Even in the red states where we control it, we can't get what you would think it'd be red state like legislation through. So there's at least one, one positive thing out of North Carolina tonight. So we've got some other things to cover. Alan Dershowitz has a very interesting piece in the Daily Mail today, reminding everybody about what happened in the 2000 election. So I'll go over that with you and we'll take a look at what's going on with Fannie Willis and these dates. She's clearly working with Jack Smith. There's just, there's no two ways about it. And I don't know, I guess there's a couple of different ways you could look at the dates that are starting to be floated out there. And we'll look at a little, a little chart that I put out on social media today, comparing the dates that they want as opposed to what is going on in the election season. Because basically what you have is now you've got two district attorneys, you've got Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, basically running the election. That's basically, they've, they've basically taken it over. So we'll talk about that as well, but let's do some news first news is brought to you by early treatment meds, early treatment meds.com. Use our code LFS6B at checkout 50% off that early treatment pack. If you're interested in that or high dose vitamin D or any of the other great things at early treatment meds.com use our code Rick Delgado. What's going on in the news. All right. Well, they're talking about elections. Let's see what the devil's been up to down in Georgia as the, uh, you like that? You like that? I like that. I thought, I thought he'd get a kick out of that one. Uh, Fulton County clerk who leaked the Trump charges said she accidentally hit send instead of save. Yeah. I mean, I could see that. Yes, of course. This is not, this is from the post millennial. Uh, the woman, his name is Alexander has said she wanted to get the indictment to the public as soon as possible. And that's how this mishap happened. And the Fulton County, uh, clerk of courts admitted to accidentally releasing the fourth indictment on former president Donald Trump. She said she pressed send instead of save on the document. She said, I'm human. Shay Alexander told channel two news, Tom Jones, uh, who thought it wasn't unusual at all. She was apparently under a lot of pressure to make sure the process went smoothly and made the oncoming indictment public. She doesn't look like she could be a Trump hater at all either. So no, no, not one second. Alexander told Jones, Hey, uh, that you wanted to get the, uh, indictment to the public as soon as possible. That's how this mishap happened. And since you say that, she says, I have no dog in this fight. She added a copy of the leak document. As you recall, Sue made its way on social media, Vivek Ramaswamy, another presidential candidate in the Republican primary posted some of the content online as well. The copy posted was what she called a dry one, a dry run or unofficial document that indicating the upcoming indictment. She said, if it'd been an official copy, uh, it would have had an official stamp on it. Yeah. Said that that's the best word I could come up with. It was fictitious. It wasn't real. It didn't have a stamp on it. I think they think we all have stamps on our foreheads and say, we're the losers here. Right. We're stupid. Alexander told Jones, um, I mean, just think about this for a second. The district attorney in her 1130 PM prime time speech, when they knew everybody was going to be watching at home for their made for television drama here, told us that she had no, no, she's the district attorney. It's her office. Yes. She told us she had, she wasn't up on what it is to be a clerk. I don't know the administration work here, the administrators, what they do. Right. I know nothing about what's going on. So if at 3 PM when this went up, the girl said, Oh, I hit save instead of send. Why wouldn't she have that night just said, I talked to, um, uh, miss Trump derangement syndrome. And she said that she hit save instead of send. That was our mistake. She didn't say any of that. Right. She just went with, I know she was the Sergeant Schultz. Like you pointed out, I know nothing, nothing, nothing, um, but what's really interesting about this story and see if you follow me. So it doesn't matter because when you said, what, what time did it come out? Two 33 o'clock. Oh, the afternoon. When was this posted originally? Oh, the mistake, the mistake, the mistake. It was pretty early. Yeah. Pretty early. Right. So if it doesn't matter if she's hit send or if she hits save, that already means that it was already predetermined because as they've said, it matched exactly what ended up coming out later on decisions. As you can tell, we're already made. There was no reason for them to sit there and go through all the, uh, all the gymnastics that they did of pulling in and witnesses because in, in their eyes, guilt has already been found. They already had the end result. Remember they already knew what they wanted. They already had it. But according to them, the way the process works, it wasn't done yet. It's the old show me the man and I'll show you the crime thing basically because they already had the guy he's, he's undivided. This is what we're indicting him on. Oh, we got to get the witnesses to say this. That's right. So it's okay if that happens after everything has been done right that she posted say, say, you know what? They, they went ahead and they, you know, got all the evidence in, they were going to make the determination. They got the indictments, but the, the DA says, you know what, I'm going to hold it till the next morning. And then she goes, I hit send instead of stave. That would have made sense because they had the results already. They already had the indictment, but that's not what happened. Is it? What happened was that they already had what they wanted, but they hadn't finished building the case yet. They hadn't finished doing the administrative part. They didn't do all the witnesses. So what do they do? CYA, they cover their ass, right? They extended the court time. They had to bring in witnesses to, you know, they told the judge, you got to stay late now. I got to get witnesses in here that were supposed to be on Tuesday to come in now on Monday because we have to cover up what we just did. See, the whole problem is again, the first hurdle. They can't get over that first hurdle that she said, I hit save. I hit send and set a save because that means she already had the final document in front of her face. And that's what she put up there. Now you can ask her, well, who gave you that document? You obviously didn't write it. You weren't in there, right? You didn't, you didn't, you didn't say, you know what? These are the charges I've come up with. You got to ask this clerk, Shay Alexander, well, who gave you this document? Who told you that these were going to be the charges? Why would you put it up on the website? She won't answer that question. I don't know. Maybe, maybe we will find out she's got, she's got a DeLorean at home. She went into the future, found out everything, came back, put it in there because she's that good. Who knows? Maybe it's, it's her version of the sports almanac where she can bet on every game because she knows the outcome. Nice. I like that. Could be right. That's gotta be the explanation because hitting send instead of save still doesn't answer the question. Where did you get the list of indictments from? From what I've read, it is not unusual for attorney generals to actually write out the indictment and then go to the grand jury and say, tell me if you don't agree with anything that I'm presenting you in this. So yeah, they probably wrote the whole thing out ahead of time and just had witnesses to be like, see, this is what we're saying. Right. And they could do that, but why would they hand it to her? Because it's not finalized. I can't, I can't give this, I can't even let anybody see this because I don't know what they're going to agree to. It also sounds like they published on WordPress, so I'm not giving them a lot of credit. What? I don't think they're up on their technology over there. That's what I'm saying. Most quotes aren't. But still, when you're dealing with matters of law and you're talking about the DA who's in charge, you got to expect some type of, you got to ask the question, have this ever happened to you before? I don't think so because we've never heard of it happening before, except when it comes to this particular case. They already knew what they wanted. They already had their outcome. Now they had to get there. It's almost like they tried to build a house without the foundation, but they forgot to put the foundation in. Uh oh, the house is going to collapse because we got nothing. So that's, that, that was my big story of the day because I still can't get, they can't clear that first hurdle. How did you have something to even save if they haven't given you the final, what the charges are? I could see if they had three charges. I got three in here. I got a couple of question marks and that's what I, and that ended up being up there and it was incomplete. Okay. You were in the process. That makes sense. But she had a complete finished product. Oh, it didn't have a stamp. Really? We're supposed to believe that because of the stamp, it's going to change anything. Come on. Come on. I think, I think maybe the broader and bigger point to all of this is that the grand jury system is a broken system and it's time to start having a conversation about, uh, as Alan Dershowitz has pointed out in multiple TV appearances. The fact that this is, um, these is as an indictment from a grand jury means absolute, it's even less than the old ham sandwich line. It's less than that. You have a prosecutor, if the prosecutor wants an indictment, the prosecutor is going to get an indictment. It doesn't matter that it went to 23 people and then it doesn't matter. It's a broken system and it's becoming more politicized, uh, as the country becomes more politicized as is the jury of your peers. The idea of getting a jury of your peers, um, is, is a harder concept to even think about now in some places you cannot get a jury of your peers, especially if you're a Donald Trump or you're a conservative and there's places in this country that you cannot get a jury of your peers to look at you objectively or look at the case objectively. The guy in, in, in Texas, you would think, Oh, in Texas, well, he was in Austin when he was confronted by a member Antifa and he had a gun in the car and they surrounded him with guns and he shot through the, whatever he thought the guy was going to shoot him. He could, he could not get a jury of his peers in Austin, Texas being a, you know, with an R in front of your name. So the two concepts of this whole grand jury and the jury of your peers is becoming a real problem in this country, which is probably the broader point, the bigger point.

"Absolutely incredible. Did it on 80 pitches too? Not sure why you take them out after any pitches, Brandon Hyde, but apparently it was the right decision. And funny enough, the Red Sox actually faced Alexander wells 11 days prior. They rocked him in Boston to the tune of 5 earned runs over 5 innings, 6 hits, a home run, a walk added in on there. They elevated his ERA nearly to an 8, 7.96. And then here you go, justice is served baby. Alexander Wallace left handed pitcher handles the Red Sox in Baltimore gets the series one before the season ends. And man, that Twitter, Twitter interaction between the O's and the Orioles. That was some primo stuff. That was the funniest. That was some of the funniest stuff we've watched all year and it's it does bring me pleasure. I don't want to get, I don't want to get too high on my high horse here, but it brings me pleasure to watch the baseball community come against the Red Sox in some capacity because it's just been so long where people have either felt bad for the Red Sox. Oh man, the curse, it's been so brutal for us. Or it's like, oh, these are the these are the blue collar Red Sox. Well, sir, Let's talk about meet John. Remember after the shutdown last year when it was hard to find beef and pork and poultry and stores. I do. Yeah, with the supply chain broke. That's what happened. Farmers across Illinois. The Midwest had animals ready to go to market, but there were no markets to take them too. Out of that disaster comes a new way to buy meat direct from the farm. It's called Chop Local, Not Shop. Chop Ch. Opie Local and the founders include Katy Old off of Iowa, whose goal is to create the Etc. Of meat. Eliminating the middle person for the farmer is it gives them an online platform that they can use to sell their meat. We also help them out with shipping. And we help them out with marketing. Katie says. One benefit of chopped local is that it shortens the supply chain from farm to you. They're completely invested in providing you absolutely the best product possible. They are emotionally invested, and they're going to do the best that they can for their customers, and that's going to translate to really high quality meat. Consistently that you can trust and for you, if it's important for you to know where your meat comes from summer, smaller farmers, they raised their animals out the word that type of thing, but all of them are very transparent about their production practices and willing to talk to consumers and tell them how their animals were raised. How this went from pastor to plate or farm to fork. Right now, All of the farmers who sell on chop local are from Iowa but most kinship to Chicago and elsewhere. But Katie says the plan is to add producers from Illinois to college to be covering the whole Midwest. At the end of 2021, Katie all talk one of the founders of chopped local, the etc of meat. Checking the crops and critters right now. At the Chicago Board of Trade, Corn is up 18 cents. 5 Minutes in Church History

Alexander of Hales

"On this episode of five minutes in Church history, we are talking about Alexander of Hales a medieval theologian. The first question is, where is hails will hails is in the West Midlands of England. The word itself means a Nook or a remote valley in this was a place that was a remote valley at the time of Alexander. The population of this sleepy little Berg was south of five hundred people. So now that we know where hails is who is Alexander. Well, he was born in eleven eighty five actually we're not quite exactly sure when he was born dates range from eleven eighty to eleven eighty six but we seem to settle on the date eleven eighty five. There is very little else known about his childhood we assume that his family was wealthy because he was sent off to the University of Paris to study in that was not something that everyone did. So we assume that his family had some means an off he went to Paris. His time at Paris. He held a number of church positions and titles but largely, he was a teacher at the University of Paris. He did become Franciscan monk in twelve thirty six and he would die in Paris in twelve, forty five. So. What did he do? Well, he was significant and bringing aristotle into the discussion of theology. Now, when we talk about this, we talk about all of the as that are involved and that is the first letter of the names of all of these people seems to begin with an a or there's no himself. Of course. Then there's arrows he was the Muslim scholar who translated aristotle from the Greek into Latin for all these medieval lists to be able to read study. There's Alberta's Magnus Albert the great another Great Faculty member at the University of Paris and he was the teacher of the final a a coyness. Thomas. Aquinas. Well, into that bunch of as we must throw Alexander he actually preceded Albertus magnus and he was the first to. The lectures and the theological lectures in particular around to aristotle and to use aristotle and his method, and even some of Aristotle's Tom's. As an aide and as a help to teach algae was Alexander of Hales that we see as the founder of the father of scholasticism and one of his published works was his own Suma Taylor. Of course, we talk about Thomas Acquaintances Suma but Alexander had one to his sumo was not finished at the time of his death and many others added to it in fact about seven years after he died. His book was still being added to one person said of Alexander's Suma that it was as heavy as a horse. Now, I'm sure there are some hyperbole there, but it was a massive tome. So we have his big book in his use of Aristotle but the other thing that makes him interesting is that he participated in these public university wide debates and he participated in famous one that spanned over three days. Now. Presumably, let's hope that they would take breaks from time to time. But this was a debate that spanned three days and anyone students. Faculty citizens of Paris could ask any question of the master and the master would have to feel it. And Alexander of Hales withstood three long days of this debate. That's how you earned the Latin title Doctor, Irre- FRAG analysis which we translate as the air refutable teacher. So he was unable to be refuted during those three days of debates. He also earned the title Doctor Doc two-room, which translated means the teacher of teachers. So this is Alexander of Hales that small village and mid western England and he made it all the way to the University of Paris as the Medieval, theologian? Alexander of Hales.
