"About Alex verdugo and also trying to get his players going in the face of a lot of negativism from the Red Sox fan base. We expect that at Chris sale. In 2023. I expect him to get on the mound Saturday. That's the way I'm talking this. We talk about his situation a few weeks ago and so far so good. You know, he throw open yesterday today he felt great. We're going to attack the next bullpen the way we were supposed to and we'll take it there by day, but everything looks great. You know, you talk to him and he's excited about the opportunity to go out there and compete finally healthy since 2018 to be honest with you. He impacts those two guys. We talk about it yesterday in our meeting. You know, it's been a while. We haven't seen this to left. He's on the mound. So so far, so good. And like I said, I'm not going to get ahead of myself. I'd done that the last two years and something happens, right? Broken pinky, you know, right in the bike, whatever, and we've just been patient, but he's been good at mental, he's been great. How do you handle when you have the departure of a long-standing player like Xander bogarts? How do you handle that with your players? Well, to be honest with you, we have to turn a page. That is the most important thing, and we love bogarts and Vasquez and Rodriguez and Martinez and bets, you know, I don't call them by the first name anymore. You know, they're playing for another team. I just joking, but that's the way we have to approach it. And we appreciate everything they've done. They did for us throughout the years, but if you go to a Clubhouse now, you know, you got JT, you gotta add them, you know? You got key kept playing new position. You got Rafi. We just signed a huge contract again. If you ask one of those guys, they can care less about what happened last year. Or what happened two years ago or in 18, you know, as organization, we have to turn the page. We wish in the best, you know? That's when they play the Red Sox, but there's a new team. There's a lot of new guys in this roster. We only had three guys left from 2018 and three coaches too. So we got to talk 2023 the right way. We come from a disappointing season. We know we play in the best division baseball. We have a lot of work to do, but our goal is to get better and see where you take us. You challenge Alex verdugo with the NLS season and it looks like he answered the challenge with how he looks early in camp which you see in ham and your converse about your conversations with him. Yeah, I mean, it's one of those that fiber 6 years ago when people talk about this kid, right? It was a 5 tool player. He's going to impact the game on both sides of the field and it was good for the Red Sox 21 who was solid for us. Last year, you know, just, I don't want to say he struggled, but he didn't play up to his potential. And he recognized that, you know, he played a little bit banged up. He posted, which is very important, but I think physically he's in a much better place. We're going to challenge him to play fast. One of the things that people haven't talked too much about is like the player right field is going to it's going to be important now. You know, without the shift, there's not a guy in that hole, you know, is about to old school baseball ride man at first. Left handed hitter should the hole in the right field has to make plays. And he understands that. I'm excited for him that he's going to the tournament and play from Mexico. I think it's going to put him in a good spot and he's up to the challenge. You know, like I said, yesterday bucks number one. He was checked, you know? And now we just got to keep continue to get better, continue to work the way he's been doing. And I believe he's going to have a solid year. You've been in Boston a long time. And you know how the narrative goes. You guys drew a lot of criticism during the course of the winter time. How do you handle that with your players? I think if you go to a locker, you talk about JT and yoshida and verdugo and better shape. Adam Duvall was his champion kika Hernandez was here's champion. Kenley Jensen, you know, Corey Kluber, tusayan. So for everything everybody's talking about, hey, man, I get it. You know, we were horrible last year, so I don't blame you guys to think that we're not a good team, but we do have a good group. We have a good baseball team. We just got to keep working and get better. Thanks, Alex. No problem. Thank you brother. Good to see you. Bleacher tweets already buster bleacher tweets for a Thursday. At BioTech teacher rates and buster with all the talk regarding pace and play and the pitch clock. Any discussion about reducing length of commercial breaks, I'm sure it's all about revenue, but there must be other ways to have ads that don't require in terminal break in the action. Now, Peter, that's part of the, as you noted, it's part of how, you know, Major League Baseball, how players get their money. And they're not going to reduce that. They're just not. It's always comes up when we talk about pay to play and reducing commercials. That's how you pay the bills. And with your broadcast partners and they're just not going to do that. Mark wooster writes in Don Mattingly had several nicknames, including Donny baseball, but he said cap was his favorite being captain of the Yankees does mean something big to the players. You know buster, we talked about this. We kind of mocked it, but I did kind of appreciate Aaron judge stepping up and being like, I'll play in left field, you know? Like, I'll do whatever. That was a captain Y kind of move from him. And he would have done it before he got named captain. If they never named him captain, he would have done that. All right, Lee Kemp at Lee camp zero 5 one one rates and I recently read a great and glorious game baseball writings of a Bartlett giamatti and enjoy giamatti's thoughts on baseball and its fit as America's pastime if still living. What might giamatti think of the world baseball classic in baseball's growing international appeal? Anything that would expand baseball as in an international way, I think Bartlett bar giamatti would have absolutely loved it. The bar G Madi was a pure baseball fan. Gabe at GP zero 6 one one 9 rights and I understand the backlash from fans for trades with division. But if you were waving the white flag anyway, wouldn't it make sense to do it at the expense of your future rivals? Wouldn't Mookie to the raise, make more sense in the long term for Boston. You're thinking reflects that of modern front offices. Remember Billy bean was one of the first that I've heard say that. Like, who cares about trading in the division? Yes, as long as you're making yourself better, that's the priority. And sure you take in prospects away, you know, from a potential rival in making a deal in the division. And I think most front offices feel that way, I will say it's the owners a lot of times that will step in and say, for example, to the mets or to the Yankees, hey, don't deal with it with our city rival. The angels and for example, if the angels trade Shohei Ohtani this year during the course of the season, I think we can pretty much safely assume he ain't going to be traded the Dodgers. PK Steinberg writes in when Harper comes back and is cleared to play in the outfield who is the Philly center Fielder, it feels like they have both too many outfielders and yet also not enough. Brandon marsh, I think he's been working on his, you know, hitting his left handed pitching so he can play more and center. Alex darker writes in hey buster, it seems like the reds have been trying to replicate the raised model. They traded away key players with two years of control left and put emphasis on pitching development. How would you grade the reds progress so far? How can they do better? I say an a minus. Yeah, I don't know if I'm willing to give a grade that high because we haven't really seen the impact as much in the big leagues, but I will say when I talk to folks with other teams, they feel like the reds are putting themselves in position to progress. I guess the question Taylor is, you know, will they the red's ownership, they're in a position to potentially take a move forward? Will they spend more? It's the same question we're seeing with the Orioles. The Orioles clearly took a huge step forward last year development of their best young players, but the question

"So again, just another way to present an incredibly long tenure so I guess finally then let's say the new ownership group comes in. Artie Moreno sells someone else takes over the team sometimes suit. I guess the obvious prescription is have a full-time Spanish language broadcaster and have them be a full-time employee and have the games easily accessible and so people know where to find them and that they're always there. Is there anything else that you would all recommend that the angels do to try to make up for years of underserving this audience or tactics that they could adapt from the Dodgers that have worked really well for the Dodgers all this time so that they could kind of get some sliver of that market for themselves that if we want to put it in those terms kind of a competitive advantage that the Dodgers have in this market because they have not ignored this huge portion of the fan base. So what should the angels do when they turn the page? That's a big part of it and I also think you have to engage the community. I mean, one thing Jose actually told me and this was in the story necessarily, but when he first started out, he wasn't just calling games, but he was at team functions and he was at charity events and things like that. And I think that's a big part of it too. I mean, if you're a team employee, you have to leverage that and try and engage people where they are as much as possible. And it's not just calling a game. It's really, maybe you have heritage nights, you do things, you know, the Dodgers have their Los Dodgers uniforms. I mean, the angels could do stuff like that. It's just small right, but it does, I think it does have an impact if they feel like they're if people feel like they're being seen and they're being heard and they're being cared about and you know it's like the same thing. I mean, I was to cover the rangers and they didn't have a pride night and I wrote about that and you know, it's the same thing. You have to show people that you care if you want to keep that fan base. And I think that it's not just the broadcast, but it's the broadcast and then what kind of comes with it. If you show you care in as many ways as possible, I think you'll see people start to come along. I mean, I've heard from enough readers at this point from the sense of that story that they're disappointed in that it's tough to be Hispanic and to be a fan right now. So I think that if you show that you care, I mean, that's what brings people in. It's not rocket science, I think. Yeah, to add to that, I would say that, you know, if you look at the Dodgers roster in recent seasons, since the SEO Puig left, they really have not featured many Latinos at all. It's been an overwhelmingly white roster in an overwhelmingly American born roster. They haven't had a Spanish speaking everyday position player since Puig and grand all left. But they found ways to market to their fan base anyway. Alex verdugo, who is of Mexican descent, but did not speak Spanish, used to walk up to Valverde, a very famous Mexican song. And he loved and played up the connection to the Spanish speaking fan base that resulted when he came up to that song. And I think there are many ways. You don't even have to have. I don't think the angels shortage of current Spanish speaking stars or anything like that has anything really to do with it. It's about, as you were saying, it gets about targeting. And not necessarily playing up what you have, but just making sure that people know that you are wanted. And I think that can start immediately. There's nothing else that needs to happen until that begins. Yeah, I mean, the Dodgers just mentioned some of the heritage nights that Sam mentioned. They do Korean heritage tonight, Japanese heritage tonight. All the different communities are pretty prevalent in Los Angeles area. And then every Tuesday, it's taco Tuesday at the ballpark, which they had like a live mariachi band in there. It's like small stuff like that that probably on the whole of their season doesn't really impact too much of their books, but it's like specific things that access different communities that keep people engaged and that's the biggest thing. Like obviously having a Latin based roster helps having someone for the Dodgers now. I know position players side is as pager mentioned very American board, but having Julio Rios as someone who connects to the Latin community helps that stuff helps, but I think ultimately comes down to just making sure that they're engaged and showing that you're willing to try different things to keep people engaged. All right, last thing I wasn't going to go here, but Sam, you wedded my appetite for this and we're talking to a bunch of people who have covered or do covers, the angels and the Dodgers. So I must ask, what are the odds that any of you will be covering Shohei Ohtani on a day to today basis in 2024? It's a good chance I think somebody will. Then I kind of admire your restraint with Otani honestly. I know. I held out until the very end here. I think it's a good chance some of us are coming. One or I don't know. You know, whole dependent on a new owner. I kind of, my feeling has always been, I think, that Otani will be with the angels, Dodgers are mets. I think he likes the West Coast, and if he wants to leave, the Dodgers make a lot of sense. And I think if he wants to maybe if the mets since they seem to be willing to spend whatever it takes, maybe they would be willing to get some online Kim, but you know, if the new owner comes in and they have a lot of money and that they show how important this is to keep them and the team is successful this year, which humongous if at this point. Since I don't think they've earned the benefit of the doubt of expected winning season after 8 losing seasons, but that I think would be the formula. A lot of money from a new owner and a winning season in 2023. If that happens, I think there's a shot, but outside of that, you know, the way he's talked about the angels, it's very tepid. I think he likes the team.

"So then you bring the lefty in after a very efficient right hander who's very capable of pitching against left handed batters comes in and single right off the bat. You have run around first, then a walk. Runners on, oh no, then Alex verdugo's drag bunt. Runners on first and second. Then a wild pitch. Second and third, no outs. Fucking great. Yankees have a two one lead at this point. And to me, that was on. That was just clearly on boom. He got spooked by Alex Cory's little bullshit. He made and then and then he he was forced to make three pitching changes as opposed to just making zero, which just which would have been the answer. You'll let clay Holmes face Travis Shaw. If Travis Shaw goes yard, okay, dude. Like, am I will there be a sect of fans mad at Aaron Boone for that? But probably, will like most fans be met. No, you just saw what you just saw what clay Holmes did the inning prior, the collective, the collective, the response to that was why are we doing this? Why don't just leave them in? So then that happens and then the pop ups, then Chad green comes in, gets the one strike out another generous Joe west call, but everyone will get into Joe S in a second because Red Sox goes. Yes, we will. Joe Red Sox fans had no fucking problem when Eduardo Rodriguez got three free strikeouts on awful strike three calls, but then when a few calls don't go, I'd be mad too. But anyway, Joe west generous strike three called a KK Hernandez sits him down two outs. College forward comes to the plate. Chad green, susceptible the home run ball. What are we gonna do? How are your butt cheeks feeling? Very tight. And he got him to pop up to the third base side on the first pitch in foul territory inning over nope, clanks off DJ's glove can't make the play. How I don't know. Few pitches later, pops one up until shallow left field, Gallo on the run, who's gonna get it? It kind of looked like you didn't know who was gonna get it because no one was really moving, except Gallo was like going at 60% speed like if somebody else is gonna get this? Am I gonna get this? Yep, I'm gonna get this, I guess. Runs in clanks off the glove, bounces around and center field verdugo scores, Red Sox, take a three two lead schwarber thrown out at second. Great. So now we're talking about pitching changes that shouldn't have happened. Defensive gaffes that are now killing Chad green's confidence after he's managed to throw what ended up being his third clean frame in a row after all the shit that he's dealt.

Who's in charge of the music, and who's in charge of bringing snacks, have to use everybody once can't pick yourself. Yeah, but there's only three things that choose from, right? Right. Okay. Eric me and Josh doesn't get anything. I would drive, I usually drive. You can't pick yourself. Oh, sorry. Andrew drives Eric picks the music, Josh brings the snacks. That's, you know, you know, I don't trust Josh music. I know you're good with food, but you're not gonna make your big thing as we drive snacks. Pre pack it. Would you trust Josh's music for a road trip? No. I have there. But he can buy snacks. But Josh has made really good cookies and brownies before, so. Yes. You know, do his credit. Snacks. Okay. Eric makes real food. Josh. Yeah. Exactly. You can still make the summer slamming. Yeah. We need the burrito again. We need the Wu burrito again. It's been too long. I'm Raj duck sized Molly. Would you rather get the nachos, though? We need to get those nachos again. When you flipped it and pulled it out. When I was looking out, I even had the hoo burrito in like, what two years? I say nachos. Eric, take break time. Wal burrito. Thank you. And longer. No one loses. I'm Raj, would you rather have to wear a baby bib every time you go out to eat or drink? Every time you go out to eat, you have to wear baby, bib. Or drink from a sippy cup every time you're at a bar to pick up. Yeah. It won't spill. Sippy cup. Yeah. Joe needs a sip cup. When you're drunk. Shanky, do you think someone told Vince shaky? Sorry. Don't know how I fucked that up. He wasn't on the show this week. I couldn't. Where is sankey? Do you think someone told Vince about how over the lucha Bros are in AEW? And then he said, hang on a second. I just had an epiphany. Oh God. You want lucha Bros? Well, here are the lucha cousins. Carrillo and Garza. I'm a genius. He puts out in there for me. Should we dollar bet on how long it takes him to show up with masks on? Well, carrillo, Joey's thinks career is gonna win title, so one of the tag titles show. Oh yeah, they'll give them titles. Oh yeah. What the U.S. title? Alex verdugo, if AW keeps winning the ratings with the 18 to 50 demo, does that mean they should go head to head with raw on Monday? We've said yes. I think they need, yeah, but I think they should at least wait till they're like winning overall or winning by a lot. Because that could happen. Right? Because they started they weren't close, then they got close. Now they're beating them in the demo. Right. Start killing them in the demo. D Barry with Lashley losing the title, does he get drafted to SmackDown a few with Brock after Brock's title match with Roman? Maybe. You would say that works like you guys have Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, what the fuck? Yeah. What the fuck? Right. Oh, God, he's gonna be Big E and 8 seconds. Probably. Probably. Yeah, that's probably. That's why we're in. Brian, I thought extreme rules, paper he was coming up. I don't remember hearing about anything extreme. I guess maybe a couple of matches are gonna get extremely boring. That's a stream as it's going to get. Maybe. Well, speaking of extreme rules, it's time to give our predictions. All right. First up, we have Liv Morgan versus carmela. You know, this means nothing match. Yeah. Why is this happening? Sure. Who do you got? I've got carmela. You know, I joked I was gonna pick carmela, but I'm gonna pick live because I think it's on the pre show and the face almost always goes over. I have live as well. Okay. With a pin, pin, pin. How many people interfere? One, I first put zero, but now I figure both girls that they tagged with are going to interfere. So I'll put to. I was trying to think if they're going to interfere. I would Tony storm care. I'm gonna say zero. Okay. And then what's the stipulation? Nothing. I put no DQ. I put nothing as well. All right. Like they leave that one alone. SmackDown tag team championships, The Usos versus the street profits. I got The Usos yeah, who says Usos? I got Jay pinning forward. I've got Jimmy pinning Dockins. And I've got J penny Dawkins. How many people interfere? None, none. And what's the stipulation? You have to say your answer, sir. What? How many people in a thousand? None. Yeah. What's the stipulation? Nothing. Nothing again? I put again, no DQ. You just go and no DQ across the board? Got him. I put tables. Usually they do tables matches for tag titles or tag team matches. So we'll see. Next up, United States championship, Damien priest, versus Seamus versus Jeff Hardy. I've got Damien priest. I'm going Jeff Hardy. I have a hard match. He won a max to get into this and give him a title. Thank you. Appreciate it. I'm going Damian priest with a pin. I'm going Damian priest pinning Jeff. Sheamus takes the fall pain. Yeah, I have priests pinning Jeff. How many people interfere? Not zero, zero. And what's the simulation? I have table match here, all right? I did weapons, I'm not sure, you know, if it gets like a candle stick or something like that. Okay. All right, I'll ladder. Okay. I don't know. We'll see. That would be incredible. Right, Jeff. Raw women's championship, Charlotte Flair versus Alexa Bliss. I've got flair flair. Flair. With a pen? I said other. There'll be some weird magic and it won't end like clean. Okay, yeah. So Alexa's gonna get d-q'd. Maybe magic? Or just imagine. Hey, magic. Ring the bell, magic. Honestly, I think it just ends. Like she did here. She steps out of there. You've done that before. Yeah. I have flair with a yeah, I don't think Alexa's gonna tap. I don't think they're gonna make fiend Alexa tap. You never fucking know. True. How many people interfere? Not zero if we don't count the lily count. Lily's not a people. She's not a people. She's not a people. All right, so she's also zero fun. All right. Will there be magic? Yes. Yes. That's my lock of essentially. Yes. What's the stipulation? Nothing. I put no DQ. All right? I put none as well for that. I was gonna put like a playground match, but they would advertise that. "No one are not oh made his return to chorus field on thursday night. And you know it was it was bittersweet it was bittersweet because obviously he deserved the ovation that he got for the literal blood sweat and tears that that he shed in colorado for that organization. It obviously ended in a really shitty way. But that's do that. Came up through. That system played hard won. Gold gloves forty homers seasons hundred. Rbi's it's it the way that it ended with super shitty but it wasn't one of those standing ovations where it's like. You acknowledged the crowd with a little wave and then you get back in the box like you could tell that he was moved by it and i i would imagine he probably had some thoughts in his head of even though ownership here sucks and like. I hate the general manager. Whatever else emotions that he might have been feeling in that in that moment you probably misses playing it cores. He probably misses the fans. He probably misses during a rocky. I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. I mean i did and i didn't. I appreciate it. Because i could see the emotion pouring out of him. I could see him restraining emotion kind of trying to bottle it right. He's got an a. B. to worry about but he's probably ready to fucking start crying too because it's fairly emotional. It almost felt like i could see him thinking like why did have to go this way. This didn't have to happen. Like i don't know that i ever wanted this ovation. I didn't want this. I wanted this on stage at the end of october. Here is what i wanted. I didn't want the welcome back to colorado ovation wearing a new fuck uniform. I appreciate it thank you. This is awesome and then when the emotion starts to build. I believe that's because those thoughts start to pop in like this could have been so much different. This could have gone so much differently instead. here. I am in a new uniform. Love it love what we've got going on here but damn i just did not see this coming. Yeah i mean. I in an alternate universe the rockies did no one right. They signed the extension with them. They built around him and the rockies were kind of what they were in two thousand eighteen. I mean they did all of that up until the part were they kept them. Yeah yeah. I mean. Well i mean. They made the effort with like. Hey let's build a super bowl pen and in the bullpen was was trash. I i want to say forget which youtuber it was. Maybe i can't remember which which youtuber it was someone. Someone made a youtube video about the rockies. Free agent signings and trades like the players that they surrounded are not with and like it was like negative significantly negative war. So it was like i guess they. The effort was sort of made in terms of like. Hey we'll we'll spend the money. But it was not spent wisely in the least bit so it was all for not and that ultimately cost them their franchise player they. They ended up moving him there. What is it fifty million. They paid fifty million to to get him out of the the organization fucking insane. It's insane but that's the rockies losses the cardinals gain because he's the starting third baseman for the national league. All star team. This year worked out worked out. Great worked out great. The yankees saved their season. Because they have traded for. Tim la castro. What's what's tim gonna do. Still three spots in the fucking standings. Yeah yeah that's that is the definition of throwing a cup of water at a burning building dirt. These spit at the building. Yeah they didn't even spit it the building. They did a rain dance. I don't even know if this will work we could spit. That'd be wasting energy. Yeah that's tough final thoughts any final thoughts. Final thoughts We go head to head this weekend. We do that. Starts tonight but star side. Who you got. You probably like our chance to three. I like are maybe sweep i like. I like the pitching matchups yet. What capri lillian. You've got montas and who else. Who's the saturday starter. Sue word serving coal. Oh yeah yeah. That sucks two out of three easy. Stop it stop it. Malta's stinks this year. Maas is getting hit. Hard leaving stuff up crops. He i think he has. The highest average exit velocity of his career. This year capri million. I like the red sox. Chances seeing him for a second time and urban whatever yeah you might get one. You might get one tonight. Freaky and who's pitch for. I said patty. Yeah eddie eddie. And ann richards in. Who's left panetta. Yeah you get better on sunday. Which is awesome where throwing a fucking knockout there on the fourth of july. That's that's that's that's going to work out. I think it is. That can't wait very excited for it all right. This was a story that we were already taking a dive into and as we started recording. The news broke. Trevor bauer placed on administrative leave by major league baseball. And i'm just going to read the statement here. Major league baseball issued the following statement today regarding los angeles dodgers pitcher. Trevor bauer in nobis investigation into the allegations made against trevor. Bauer is ongoing. While no determination in the case has been made. We have made the decision to place. Mr bauer on seven day administrative leave effective immediately in moby continues to collect information in our ongoing investigation. Concurrent with the pasadena. Police departments active criminal. Investigation will we. We will comment further at the appropriate time. And i feel like that last sentence is something that everybody who's got eyeballs on this and ear holes on this and his salivating over this to take into consideration. We will comment further at the appropriate time Injured just when we were kind of talking about this. You made a good point early on in just kind of how we're trying to process this. Yeah yeah and and i. I just want to make this one point two because i feel like it does get lost in a story like this so as as the story first came out first. Tmz then everyone. I'm assuming has read the article from the athletic. You obviously feel for the victim in this story. But i think for me. What hit home so much was consulting so many different Women in my life around me asking them how it makes them feel and the pain that it has brought to these people that don't even know the individuals in this particular story where it's it was dallas. It was jarring. How many women that. I consider friends that i never knew. Had something similar happen to them and and to have to have that sort of have to relive that because this is in the public eye. We're talking about a professional athlete. That's in the spotlight but these are like women that work in sports so it's not even like they can turn it off and hide from it like part of it is like you know it's my job to sort of read up on this and read these details in half to have almost like call bax to when i had a similar experience and trust me they what was it tastes friday. So what wednesday. Night wednesday night. I had a full blown fucking panic attack over this. Because you know. I'm having these conversations with people that i consider close friends and like they're talking to me about it and like how they process it and is awful. It's awful it's terrible. You don't feel like you have a route to go because you're trying to do your job. You also understand who you think. You are as a friend and it can be shocking. And which probably jarring for you. Jared is understanding that this has happened to some of those people that you're referring to in your life and you didn't even know it had no funding. I guess it's because they deal with this shit on a level that a lot of people don't really understand. And when i say a lot of people i mean if you're a male you don't really understand this like at all and so i think that's why it's important for for men guys like you guys like me to make sure that our female counterparts understand that we can be a safe haven for them. We're not going to pass that judgment. We're not gonna just we understand them and that's all you can do right now when something like this happens is try to be a shoulder and and wait all of the information to come out so that you can react accordingly. Yeah but the the the biggest thing. I think that you said is understanding like this impacts other people whether they like it or not and to be cognizant of that shirt and i feel like you know where it caught me deep. Was you know having a friend reach out and be like i. It's disheartening that you haven't said anything yet. And i'm reading the statement the last thing we will comment further at the appropriate time as it is an ongoing investigation. Like starting nine baseball podcasts. We like to have fun. We love to entertain you guys but when stuff like this happens you you go from like hey. This is a fun job to like. This is a job like this is like like you get paid to. There are difficult parts of it and this is certainly one of them to comment on something like this but again it has to be when the time is appropriate and with it being an ongoing investigation. You know you look at some of these other outlets and they're like well we're we're still. We're still searching for all the information. So this isn't this isn't me telling you that the giants are dog shit in february. That's that's not what this is. This isn't a hot take conversation to be had here where we can kind of re revisit and clean it up a little and make an adjustment. No no there's there's very very real very very important things at play here. People's lives and that that matters people's well-being people's mental state and you can't just fire off that hot take. We talk about Folks wanting to be i these days as opposed to being right or accurate and jerry. You're i not really interested in being. I know accurate. Probably a little safer right. I mean it's totally different when someone texts you with some baseball news like hey i think so and so is gonna get traded here and you fire that often your first and your wrong and it's like whatever you know fucked up in something like this. There's there's no benefit to being. I hear you wanna you want to get it right. You wanna say the right thing you wanna do the right thing and we promise you. Listen when it's all out there and you know we're we're being told by you know we're we're seeing all the tweets that there there should be more information when it's all out there will we will have something to say about it but until that happens you know we're we're we're just gonna keep rolling with it as as you guys. Are you receiving all the same information that we are. And that's that's all we can do. I think we're doing everybody the best service if that's the approach fans everybody involved so editor as brutal of situation as this is jared said we just wanna make sure that we're not doing anything in putting ourselves or you fans in a position where you're hearing shit. That isn't true. That is an accurate that is just coming from a place of an opinion as opposed to. What's factually correct. So it all kind of hanging there and keep is on this as it develops. Yep as more information comes in we will keep you guys posted. This podcast is sponsored by better help online. Therapy life is full of stressors..

"I'd say the hardest one this year. I could probably get like a ninety eight ninety none but but it has to be like the right play arms. Feel extra good that day. It's gotta be it's gotta be the right way the right momentum bite adrenaline but i feel like on consistent basis. I forgot throwing hard in and get it in. I'm probably right around like you know. Ninety three to ninety six like writer on that range. So that's the problem. Is that the fans knowing that. You've got mid nineties to upper nineties in the tank at some point we wanna see you pitch as a position player but the one problem is the socks. Don't get blown out like we. We there is a one game against toronto. Eighteen and four thousand about it and who pitched nagy marlin. Yeah arlington and fishing arroyo. Yeah yes so how do you. How do you like go up to a c. And be like yo know if if we ever get blown out like i you know i'm trying to get out there. See i tell that we tell them that but like obviously at this like this point. We know that that's not gonna happen. This joke around with and all that but i think if i really wanted to do that like i would prefer to do it. You know maybe in like You know two years or something like that. Just so i can kinda of start implementing like in my off seasons more of a throwing program more the you know the band's just more of like an armed care program that pitchers you go through a while do like while i do my normal workouts in offseason stuff for my position player Stuff so for me it would just be like let me me have an attitude to really build up straining long toss throw a couple of flats and stuff like that maybe get used to this this slippery ball and then then when there's a blow out like that like a like let me get in there for some fun and you know hopefully builds confidence with the with the guys in there like we can maybe use them in some different spots doesn't some highlights boss when you said i need. I need an off season to work on something. I thought you were going to be like yes. I need an off-season to kind of like work on like my job. Just like i'm not going in there. Just a heater. Maybe working a hook. Now i i work my hook my slider in fast. I all the time life throwing just regular like warming up. I always mess around. So i still have that the change up for sure gotta get a field. Never had a good changeup so not too. Sure about that guy. Yeah we'll we'll work on it one of the one of the questions that we usually ask people on here. It's kind of like we've named it. The rick and keel question because when he was in high school this fucking guy through nine no hitters as as a high school pitcher and we asked them we were like all right so you through nine no hitters in high school. What was what was your best single game performance ever and this dude didn't even pick one of the no hitters. He was like. I had a game where i threw a one hitter. The one hit was like a little dribbler in front of the players. An infield single and then i hit a walk off home run so at what point i if you can throw hard and we know you can rake in you. Know he can play defense. What was your like. Ricky and kill game can be little league can be babe ruth high school whatever. Ooh rick inc. hugh day deep. That's a good one. Because i don't really have one where like i hit a walk off like that but you know i've had i've had games. Were you got a few heads couple doubles or a homer to like you know kinda. Give us a lead But i also like for me. I look forward to like if i was offered that day. I look forward to going to bits. Ninety if i was offered three four like because i would already be pretty pissed like shit. Eats abby a little bit so coats. let me get this last city. Let me just pisses lasting out fucking go up there. Basically just throw his art his identity as pissed off Just just screw it. I'm going after people. Like whatever. But i mean i had a game you know were i started the in six innings struck out eighteen guys like how is that not the first game that comes to mind goddamn like i'm struggling to think of the best game ever had. Oh yeah that game where i punched out eighteen dudes. Yeah well i mean. I also i think i left the game like at two zero deficit. Because of 'cause there was a couple balls the my my one of my best friends time was shortstop and there was there was a it was a terrible field man so if they made contact and hit a ground ball like there was some bad ops some errors in that and then a couple of passed balls and that's how they scored so it was hard to consider it my best game but obviously striking out eighteen in in six was was a super cool thing six innings. Yeah so you know it was. It was pretty crazy for for the for the non math majors out there. That is a striking out every single batter for for every out. So just just put that in the back of your.

"And i think what this all boils down to is that we're going to pick one side of the other it is. I find it hard to not side with donaldson who was not trying to like. He wasn't trying to call out any one specific pitcher because it was a league wide problem and as as a hitter in the league a guy. That's that's been around. And i think i think some of us forget the resume that he has guy's a fucking mvp in this league three-time all-star he's an mvp. So like when you when you when you asking i was asking different hitters like good hitters because obviously i've never seen big league pitching without sticky shit and i've never seen an elite starting pitcher use sticky shit so i'm asking these questions because you know i didn't play the game but i want to learn more. I want to be able to understand from their perspective. So asking these guys. Hey when now that now that they've cracked down on this stuff. What's the biggest difference like. Did you notice like is it like a is that a subtle difference or is it a night and day difference and one guy described to me. You know facing an elite starter. He's he's faced this guy with him using sticky shit and without him using sticky shit and he tried to describe it as when he throws a fastball with spider tack. It's almost like the fastball. Skips like he'll throw it and then it'll get halfway to the plate and then it'll glitch it. Yes yes yes. There's a glitch in it. It almost like it'll it'll get halfway to the plate and then hit like the fucking. The mario kart mushroom halfway there. Just go and without it is. Do you know what that is. I mean it's some sort of a breaking of like the sound barrier. It's no this is what it is is what hitters or used to jared is tracking vertical. Drop okay if you can spin the baseball you can make the baseball hold. It's playing longer holds. Its plane holds. Its plane holds. Its plane holds its plane and never starts to drop okay That's with sticky stuff no sticky stuff. That ball doesn't hold its plane as long right starts to come down into a hitting zone that you can actually get to all right and that is the difference so when you hear here to talk about the ball skipping it's not like it actually rises. It's the lack of vertical drop so when these hitters are now putting the barrel in zone. They're forced to put the barrel in a place where there is are not trained to track. They've been trained to track the ball to the barrel their entire life now to hit this kind of stuff. They have to put the barrel in a place where frankly there is aren't because they can't track the ball that way it's moving at a rate in in a way that there is are not calibrated and that's like that as much as i talk on hitters. They're scary scary scary. Good jerry. just these are human beings that have robotically geared their vision and their hand eye coordination to be able to tell. You don't swing at that. That's a half inch out swinging at that. That's right on the black. Put the barrel here. That's ninety seven with this kind of life now. That kind of life looks very different. It's artificial intelligence and narrates. They're stuck trying to recalibrate themselves. Like i talked to a hitter. I talked to a really good hitter two days ago and this dude's like with with that shit and where i'm at in my career right now. It legitimately had me thinking. I could be done a lot sooner than i think i am. Yeah because. I don't know that i'm going to have the time. And the ability to adjust to what these guys are featuring they're allowed if it's allowed to unfold like that when that kind of stuff because everybody in the bullpen take your low level bullpen guy in any team across major league baseball. That dude is lights out. Wipe out type secondary shit. And you don't even know his name but he's featuring the same shit that the go-to guy in the bullpen. Twenty years ago was featuring the unhittable do that. You only see in the night like now the guy coming in the sixth has that kind of wipeouts slider and that's why the offense i it just has taken a hit that it has Yeah so all that to say. It's hard not to side with donaldson when he was just trying to say. Hey listen like he was trying to be well. He was trying to create in just conversation and not even that he just wanted a fair playing field. He just wanted like. Hey i've been in the league long enough to know what guys using sunscreen for grip. Looks like and guys using this other shit he. He has a large enough sample size during his career to know the difference. And when a guy like that is is speaking out. Listen to them. I mean it's not like oh this is unfair because we can't hit home runs anymore. It's like hey we didn't say shit when you guys were using sunscreen because we don't give a fuck what this shit is not the same. It's not serving the same purpose in. It's it's fucking cheating. It's because i've said this. And i don't know why nobody is picking up on this. Just understand it. There's no reaction to this for the hitter. There's no there's no mechanism for the hitter to now catch up to this. There's nothing that the hitter can do to catch up to a pitcher using velcro. Can't do it like what are you gonna do. You know like change the dimensions of the bat that you can use. Take big leaders back to minus five instead of minus three. You're not going to do that. You're going to try to make the bats harder. You can try to do that. There's technology out. There guys are trying to do that understandable. But you're not going to get to a point where you've got an answer for hitting baseballs that just no longer have vertical drop and baseball's that have twenty plus inches of movement at ninety four miles an hour. Look good look all. I can say. Yeah and you know. I in this particular instance when when it's a guy like lucas gilio. Who's on the opposite end of josh donaldson. I get that pitchers or a little bit frustrated too. You know i get that it's a it can't be easy to have to adjust to this midseason. I feel like if you gave guys a whole off-season to adjust income into a season like okay. We agree it got out of hand are bad. Sorry we saw other guys doing it. You guys weren't doing anything about it as a league so we didn't want to not get in on that i mean if you don't give a fuck why wouldn't we do it but i think some guys are adjusting to it a little better than others and then some guys are really struggling with it and i'm not saying gee leader struggling with by any means but i think he had what five swings and misses and that start only one strike out. No i mean. There's there's there's like like what we what we don't wanna get hung up on here is pointing fingers and because we understand like my my biggest thing for this is put some respect on the name of donaldson in regards to who this guy is in the game and what. He's trying to have a conversation about. Yeah like you can be mad at him because you don't like his attitude that's that's fine. He's not for everybody. We all are but you have to think about where he's coming from and at the end of it if you're mad that he's having a conversation about leveling the playing field maybe just think about the arrow you fire before you fire it. That's all because i love me. Some g lido fucking love the dude. It's tough man. I mean you. You know jared how much i love that dude. I very much mutual. Yeah yeah i just. They'll be all right. They're just kids. Yeah yeah. I think it's a it's a non issue now. I feel like they've patch things up eventually. They'll run into each other and be like they'll they'll compel at some point the all star game. They've named the starters. She didn't run through the names. Real quick salvi yup deserved yup posey very deserved first base. Vladi cakes freddy freeman deserve. Ooh this one's tough market shimmy and at second base the american league you know what you're limoges takes slick furnaces shoutout toronto blue jay fan base Outstanding job by the toronto blue jay fan base to take care of a guy that they love that they should love that they appreciate Like the entire fan base has done that whether or not that fan base has an issue with the blue jays ownership group or not the fan base has been able to put that aside and share the love for the player which is really good to see because it's not the owner of the blue jays. Who's going to the all star game. Is it no. It's the player. I love to see a fan base. Support the player. 'cause they don't even have to go to the ballgames right but you can support the player you don't have to show up and spend money at the concession stands if you're mad at the owner but you can support the player so it's great that marcus simeon. Now as a fan base behind him that will support him to the extent that he's been supported out there because it's tough to see other guys that have come from places where siemian has been. That just don't seem to get that kind of support. Good crack bluejays. Great forum adam frazier. I all star game start Second base Then raphael denver's third base first all-star star game. Start good for him very much deserved. He's the best known renato at third base for the national league. Do you think that that's the right call over. Kris bryant kris bryant has had like if you look at his on the surface numbers very good justin turner another guy but i mean you're never going to hear me complain about my fucking favorite player being an all star game starter. Zander bogart's best shortstop in baseball. He's getting the start second time fernando totti's junior believe it or not i the yup red sox are the best team so they are well represented at the all star game fernando santis junior his first all star game. Start very excited for that. He deserves it. And then the outfield mike. Trout doesn't deserve. It hasn't really played baseball this year. Aaron judge i guess the yankees have to have a representative task or hernandez. First all star game star shots at they oscar hernandez probably one of my favorite underrated players in baseball. That love swing. He's got nothing he's never had a cheap home run in his life. And i think that he's a dude that kanda. He's a key cog in that blue jays. Lineup where you want to talk about the baby jays but he. He provides the big thump to protect vladi. And be around vlada. You want you want your best hitter to be surrounded by good hitters. That's oscar hernandez. He's getting his first all star game. Start and then. The national league outfield. Ronald the kuni. Junior well-deserved deserved nick. Cast janos faulk. Yeah i all star game start love that one hundred percent deserve this last one. My favorite probably. Have you seen the video. Have you seen the video of him. Talking about being selected. You need to. You need to go watch the video. Jesse winker just explaining and describing what it means to him to have the support of the fan base and what it means to him to have this acknowledgement. It's a really cool video. It's just great because it's a it's a little insight to the dude you know you know those those music people that they're like fans of like a an indie band or a lesser known band and then they blow up and then they're like i like them before they were big and blah blah blah. That's how i feel about. Jesse winker you go back to the twenty eighteen or twenty nineteen starting nine season preview. I was blown winker back. Then this is the when we did our season preview we were going down to say one thing about every all thirty teams when we got to. The reds is all talking about big wink. And now here. He is twenty twenty one national league all star the cincinnati reds well represented shohei ohtani obviously the d. h. Do a fucking monster wait for him to win. The homerun derby yeah. The manager gets a select their d. h. But yeah no this is i. Don't i don't have a ton of complaints. Really no complaints thing. The only if there's if there's one person that i feel like maybe they got snubbed. And it's not even really. Maybe i think i think max muncie should be the starting first baseman for the national league. He's been he's been fucking awesome this year. And freddie freddie's struggled a little bit and you know people are talking about well is contract and this and that's the first time he's ever actually had to play for a contract because he came up and they they paid them he didn't have to go to like free agency or anything so whatever i mean. I'm not worried about freddy freeman. I'm just saying that. I think the only performed the only snub at all. I think in for me again. Metal senate first base. But that's not like vlad was going to start. Vlad should have been the starter period cracked. Yeah there's no other simians. Great pick divers. I mean yeah. There's no i'm not. There's there's there's nothing egregious other than my trout. Making the team like boxton should get in there. Cedric mojo on this list. Edrich mullins should be starting in the outfield for the american league. Yes over mike trout easily. Yes yep but the nationally. I don't have any complaints about that. I would say the most egregious. Omission is cedric mullins. Not being started for the all star game. He absolutely should be great other than that. There's not a ton for me to get worked up about you it-it's guy. I've dabbled here and there you just. Verdoux go You may notice a dallas brain's not here is because his laptop exploded two minutes before we got doogie in the in a chat here. So it's just going to be us it's gonna be it's gonna be a follow up to the section ten interview that we just did two weeks ago So there was a big development that want to start first of all. Get out there in vote for alex for go for the all star game. You're finalised right now and there's no reason why you shouldn't be in denver. We already have we got. We got whatever's in bogey on the left side. I can't remember the last time that there's been like a same team left side of the it's been a long time like jeeter in iran. A you know better than me way better than me. So where i want to start with this aside from getting people to vote for you for the all star game is there's been a major development since the last time that we talked and when we the soccer in kansas city and i just got a shower. My phone's ringing. It's a facetime. Who's a from. Julio he's not happy so this dude he heard the interview that we did and he didn't like that we were calling him cheap. He wants to have a platform to defend himself. I don't think he deserves it. I really don't think that he deserves it. My first thing. I said to him was jd. What's the most expensive thing that you own that you wear is like. Oh my house in my boat. I was like that doesn't count because you're not wearing that around the streets of boston. What's the most expensive thing that you have on your on a day-to-day basis. And he says my watch doing the backgrounds like you've got shipped for free so he doesn't even have a piece of jewelry that he can rocks. What have you got to say to. Julio daniel claiming that he's not cheap. I mean it's just it's just sad to see you know the fact that he can't own up to it at this point. I mean it's it's ongoing forever in the in the clubhouse with all the guys everybody knows julio makes a bet with you and it involves money you will not see that money. It doesn't matter it doesn't matter if it's a hundred bucks three hundred five hundred thousand. It doesn't matter you make a bet he's gonna find loopholes. he's gonna find ways to get out of ingestion. Finagle his way out. East ease achieved gut. He is he is an. It's sad to see it's sad to see him kinda like flop around like this and take offense to something. That's one thousand percent true. And i told him i was like. Listen if you wanna come on and defend yourself you can. however.

"I've done my wrong going to provide you to. There's a picture up there. He had me sign. Yeah but yeah. I feel like the conversation that we could have. We could get that taking care of no problem problems. Nobody's keeping score here but that that is. This is a huge moment. This is a gold rush moment. This is a gold rush moment. Great idea whoa hold on the kowloon idea. No the barstool. Athlete thing oh. The athlete is a phenomenal idea. And i gotta tell you right now. I i did. I was probably up until two thirty this morning. Just responding to. dm's responding to end. I'm sorry if i didn't get to all at why. No i didn't get the fuck all of you. 'cause there's a thousand but everybody every ball player and let this moment right now. Serve as this advertisement for this if you play baseball okay. I don't care if it's division seventeen. I don't care if you're paying the school to show up so you can play there. You have the opportunity to be a parcel athlete Please please please take advantage of this. And what what. I'm going to be explaining to students later. Because i have been asked to to kind of have some conversations and explained to these guys girls athletes. What is at their fingertips right now and for a long time. What really forever. The athlete has been the gold. Will now you have the opportunity to mine your own gold all right your valuable to the university your valuable to your school but your valuable to yourself and other entities understand that and they understand your value to the school which is why they wanna latch on to you so it's just about understanding who you think you are right now where you wanna go where you wanna take yourself your career. How serious you are about it. Because this moment in time for the freshmen. Who might not have the scholarship but has a feel for social. Media has some interest outside of what it is. They're doing in school. That opens them up to a wider audience. Those resources can very well be the difference between you chasing your dream and continuing the journey or you building somebody else's dream and traveling along somebody else's journey so be aggressive be loud in the dm's and do yourself a favor right now. Closed malls do not get fed during moments. Like this and you might be. You might be apprehensive about reaching out and all. I don't want to expose myself or i don't wanna feel like i'm begging fuck that fuck that you have grinded too long. I grinded my ass off with no pay show at the butcher shop. Who did feed me though. And that's because the opportunity that is in front of you. Now as young athletes has been earned it has been worked for it has been deserved for so long. So please don't look at this moment like oh. I'm not the d. one superstar. I'm not the d. two scali. i can't even know. yeah you can. Yeah you can and the folks who have supported you. That have helped. Get you to where you're where you are now in your community. Start there start there. You want to be that hometown hero. If you will we'll get those people on board who supported you and let them know that they can help you build that brand and that you can help them build theirs. I mean i don't want to get into this because there's a. There's a lot that we can go. But i was just very excited about this opportunity and i'm glad to see that the athletes are for the most part trying to take advantage of this so i just encourage you to continue to do so. Yeah i've gotten a bunch of emails. Dm's everything like that. i would love to. I'm gonna take the time to sit through all these. But i think there's just there's an email it's not like it's not like a vetting process where you have to come to me and then be like. Hey can i become a bar so athlete. I believe there's an application. What what all do i have the application. It's very here. It's a any any athlete. Wants to join barstool athlete. Here's what you gotta do barstool dot link slash athletes. That's the only way to get approved. Barstool dot link slash athletes. Yeah so that's a really cool idea very about that. I know even thought about. I've even thought about some names reached out like some college ball like dude. Oh yeah no the. And that's what i'm saying like guys absolute guys. And that's why when when i say that for the dude who's listening right now or for the girl who's listening right now the things. I'm not that person. I'm not that athlete you are. Yeah okay applied for this fucking d three ship baseball player you you do this man you just every little thing can help you. I promise you so. Let's just keep our glass half full young athletes. Let's glass happel during this process. I kind of alluded to it a little bit earlier. But the josh donaldson lucas deal. You know situation. Ooh pretty interesting happened this past week. Where josh donaldson is a guy. That is very outspoken. He's going to let you know how he feels whether that hurt your feelings or not. He's going to. He's going to speak his piece and he was probably not just the first but maybe the only hitter was condemning the sticky substances to the degree that he did. I know some guys came out. And they're like no. He led the charge. There's no doubt about it but not to the degree. That donaldson did. I mean he went all in. I mean some dudes. They stuck their toes in the water. Johnson josh donaldson did a fucking canon ball into that narrative. So he hits a homer off of lucas g lido. What was it wednesday. Night tuesday night tuesday night thinks. He's maybe no windsor. Windsor windsor wednesday. It's a two run homer aphaluck toledo and as he's coming around third crossing home plate. He you can hear the broadcast pickup him saying it's not sticky anymore as he's rubbing his hands together and after the game. Lucas g lido is he called him a fucking pest and said you know if you wanna say that stuff like say to my face so before we get into what actually happened afterwards. My first reaction to that is. That's a lose lose situation for donaldson. Because if he does it. I what he did it to his dugout. Which most pitchers will tell you. Yeah if you're going to celebrate with your teammates like if you're gonna if you're gonna hit a homer off of me and then scream going up the first base line scream at your dugout. Fire up your guys. And that's essentially what johnson did. He was saying it to his own teammates to his own dugout. But jiggle lido took issue with it saying say that to my face if he says it to his face now he's kind of inciting a fight which we've already seen nick casinos get suspended for just inciting some sort of violent acts like he didn't even there wasn't even a fight he incited it. He's celebrated so he's basically saying you know either either faces suspension or get called the coward almost and so after the game. You know we talked about this. Obviously josh donaldson is probably the last. If not one of the last guys in the league right now that you want to say. Say it to my face to because this put like this. Jd's just not a dude that you want to send an invitation to and then be surprised when he shows up to your party right. I don't do that that that's all that's all say. Yeah yeah..

"Have the most mullets. We have the most morale we have dudes that blow cass from the left and the right side and we have them angles. We've got athletes. We've got everything you could hope for in by. Athletes would douse means by that. Is dudes that submitted videos of them. Like benching. four hundred pounds and squatting like six hundred for reps yeah. Where's where's all robert. Oh fuck it robert yet guy. That's why the video was important. Because i saw what he was squatting. And i was like yeah. This guy who can put the team on his back on draft him. Yeah i just hope. I mean i i think i forget who said it last night. But when once. Karl and dave started drafting like these like d. One dudes at throw like ninety five. I don't wanna see that. But someone suggested like well if dallas in jared have a b.'s. They should be against carl or dave. Yup i i thought about this. Do we need to create some like some rules to put into place here so that we can kind of steer the competition in a way that would benefit everybody consuming. This you know what's on your mind. What do you think i don't know. Kind of like that like mandated. Abc's mono mono abc's. I've gotta face day. I mean i'll tell you right now. I i don't think i can. I don't think i could pitch like i've gone from pitch. We can't hold on. Hold as a logical reason for i'll give you the reason. Listen i cannot. I can't have the rocket with me. In what the fuck absurd. It's first of all i. I've got no throwing partner here. I've got no one to throw who the guy throws. There's no excuse. You have a mattress. You have a sock. You have a tube sock it sock throws are. That's something that big league baseball players actually utilized to get themselves back on the mound. So if they can do that to get back on they play baseball in a sock and do what with it throat so you take a tube sock yeah take a tube sock and you put a ball in the tube sock and you put the sock on your hand so now. It's a long sock on your hand. Yeah and you've got your hand in the sock and the ball in your hand it had the sock and you tape the sock down here under forum and you throw the ball and it stops in the end of the sock and you don't have to go and pick it up. You don't have to wait for anybody. Throw it back because it's right there. You're fucking it's a sock throw. I have never heard of that. Oh yeah your favorite pitcher has done. Sock rose interesting. Yeah and that's that's just those are small incremental things that you can do when you're getting back on your arm after surgery or after being down for a while and you don't have a throwing partner or you've got limited resources or maybe you don't need to go out and ramp up to make ten sock throws in your hotel room. That's what you do. Yeah i mean i yeah. I'll try my best. But i mean when i excuse it's doable. It is when i was pitching though like my body looked different like my shoulders now are so much bigger than it. Changes my arm angle. Like i'm not able to. I'm not able to come across the top as much as i did before because my fucking shoulders have quadrupled inside still across the top. What are we talking to blake like. I can't like this feels on where i was more. Flexible will how. You're moving your arm right there. Like that's not the joint that needs to be moving right there. You from at that point. You're going from what you're moving. There is humorous down to the elbow. But what needs to be happening. Is that elbow with going. Yeah i feel like my my quick. Mike quick twitch muscles have never been sly. We're not twitchy. that's why i'm not. I'm not twitchy. And i've just put on bulk to where i'm i've slowed myself down like i remember. I remember the first time that i ever really put on. Like decent muscle mass. I was like oh man. Like i'm going to be playing baseball. I'm gonna be fucking just out there being an absolute stud and then. I tried running around in the outfield field. Now just gassed. I've just put on so much like an upside down bowling pin. The guy have no leg strength. My upper body is huge. And i'm running around. And i'm exhausted from try like my little ass. Legs trying to carry around all this this upper body weight because when you create more muscle mass you need more oxygen. And if you don't have a cardiovascular gas tank. I don't think enough to pump oxygen into your body. You should see me after i have sex. I look like i'm gonna die. I look like i'm like i don't know what's going on. It's it's terrible the probably hold off on that but yeah it's not good. I can't breathe dude. I what was it. I was on the phone. It was you. I was on the phone with you yesterday. And we were talking about doing the the barstool barn burner and how how are we gonna communicate our our draft pick ideas and then you said. Go get your baseball glove so i like ran down. The stairs ran back up the stairs. I i would love to get a hit in this game. But it's not a homer that's going to be a single tell you that right now. I can't wait to show drag skills here. It's gonna be fucking outstanding. Yeah you run like a gazelle people. Don't know that about me. Yeah no i do. I've seen it you run faster. You run faster than me. Dallas running backwards is faster than me running forwards people sleep on the athleticism jeered..

"There's still time we're that could very will not be the case. Because there's only two and a half games at separate the dodgers or excuse me the separate the padres and the giants. I believe so with that being said in the next two weeks this could look very different. Still yeah and the giants have run into some injuries. Like i talked about at the very beginning of this thing that have started to kind of weigh on them a little bit. You got guys going through the. They've got a little bug going through the clubhouse right now. Johnny cueto talked about feeling ill. Buster posey's talked about not feeling great. So you got that kind of stuff happening right now that could send you through a five seven game lol and during that time. Dodgers planned good baseball. You never know so for the giants to be in first place to have done what they've done up to this point and getting the production from the places. They've got it the flyer crew. Meaning all those boys. They took flyers on on the mound right. The diesel fanis the gods ready the woodies all. It's it's worked for the most part and nation of that and the production from the veterans in the lineup. Do you have the balls. Fuck no do you have the balls dallas to tell me right now that you think by august fifteenth that the san francisco giants will be a third place team. Do you have the balls to say that. By august august fifteenth. You got a month and a half two and a half games there in place right now. Do you have the balls. Do you have the balls to guarantee me that. The san francisco giants will be in third place by august fifteenth. I gotta take what are the. What are the padres. Aren't they dealing with a little bit of lumet's hurt. Yeah i was gonna say events heard. I mean i feel like if you're not if you're not all that high on the giants and you think that they're on the downward trend and it's jerry. They've got the giants. I think i think a word that you used. I think they've maybe gotten a little lucky with their the production that they've got from some of their veterans in the first half you start getting to the second half that's where the wear and tear really shows that some of the older guys. You know i'm just asking you. Do you have the fucking balls to say that. By august fifteenth. The giants will be in third place. I'll tell you that the giants will not be in first place. That's not what i asked. I know but that's what i'm telling you i'm telling because i don't know i'm not. I'm not the medical staff of the san diego padres. I mean they're playing great baseball right now. Eighty two over there last injured. I don't see if we could fast forward or excuse me if we could rewind a little and get us to. I don't know. Maybe the india july do i feel like i don't know i'm gonna say the giants will not app giants. Absolutely unequivocally will not be in first place. Come august fifteen not happening. They will not be in first place they will not be. But we'll go on to see this. Go on to say this okay. Maybe i was going to get a little crazy right there. I had that talk of myself. I'm gonna stop there with the giants. You're gonna say they weren't. They wouldn't be holding a playoff spot. I don't wanna get. I don't wanna get too aggressive. Is that where you're gonna say to say by august fifteenth. That they wouldn't be even holding the playoff spot. I believe at this point in time. They're one of the five best teams in the nfl. Right now right now. Yeah as it as it said. I believe the san francisco giants are one of the five teams in the nfl. And that's all you have to think about when you start talking about october baseball. Yeah but when the twenty twenty one regular season concludes. Do you have the giants in a playoff spot. Nats are playing pretty good baseball right now. Are playing good baseball game about five hundred now. I think it's still. I think it's still too early to come off my take. Yeah tell me how. Tell me how wrong i am if the giants are in second place by the break. Tell me right now seriously. If i told you that they weren't sniffing the playoffs. Yeah at the beginning of the season before the pitch was even thrown. And then i tell you or and then we we. We land at the halfway point. And they're in second place which technically would have them trending down at the wrong time am i. Am i that far off in two weeks. Two weeks from now. Am i that far off or able to go back and would you have the balls to go back and say you know what dallas may have gotten a little ahead of ourselves here with the early run that the giants were on. It does appear that injuries you talked about have had an impact. It does appear that the lack of production from the veterans that we were getting early here in the second half Feel like there might be room for that. I don't. I don't want that to be the case. I'd love for the ball players to continue to play baseball. But i think. I think when you look at the san francisco giants and what they've done this year and is it sustainable. In the second half i think what you really have to do.

"Three to victory over the Capitals in Boston and a 21 serious lead in their first round playoff set. Taylor Hall scored for the second straight game, which gives him 10 goals into these uniforms in 19 contests overall, and this one was fancy. He faked out the goalie low, then roof the shot. There's times in games that you know you just want to get it on that quickly. You wanna surprise the goalie, but there's all Sometimes that if you could make a play around him, that's what you can do as well and it started to get some confidence. Goalscoring Liza since I've gone here, and that's probably a good example of that Game four tomorrow night, Red Sox jumped out to a five Nothing lead in the first inning in Florida and never looked back into 73 win over the Blue Chased snap a two game skid. We had a Norden by 1 23 that has cleared, however, we are still dealing with delays. Because you know vehicles were slowing down to take a look at. You Can't help yourself. I would do the same thing anyway. It's still sluggish 4 95 north and approaching 1 23 there in Norton, but the crash itself is gone. North on expressways still tied up in a posits circle to Columbia Road Lever Connector is tied up and and getting onto story, Dr. But 93 is looking a lot better getting through Medford to the lever connector for 95 south on and ring him. Gotta left handling worker to watch out for right by route. 24 also east on Mass. Pike gratifying that heavy from the supermarket overpass to Newton corner, and I mean, not like jammed heavy, but lots of volume there. Crash. They just cleared it 95 north on that route one and sharing, so we're still seeing some delays from South Main Street to Route one.
