'Breaking the News' Author Alex Marlow on Free Speech in Big Tech

"We were talking about the Second Amendment, the assault on it, the newsroom uvalde. We can segue very smoothly to the topic of your book breaking the news and the big issue of big tech. Because Elon Musk, the individual, you warned me about that we had so many high hopes of tweeted out, I think it was on Thursday morning or Wednesday night that, yeah, we have to do something about these AR-15s, maybe some special kind of registration or training. And I just tweeted out Elon, you were doing so well. Let's break down this story. The book is breaking the news. You've got to get it from our guest, Alex marlowe breaking the news exposing the establishment media's hidden deals and secret corruption. Where are you at in terms of Twitter, I don't know if you're on truth social, something's happened on true social, my account is now two, 3000 new followers every single day for the last weeks of something exponentials happening there. They're opening it up to Android as well. We had Devin Nunes on the show. We invited president Trump on the show as well. Are we starting to see some glimmers of hope? Or are you still concerned that this is the most powerful weapon on the left has to distort and steal elections? Yeah, it is one of the most powerful for sure. Noteworthy is maybe the most powerful of them all is Google, which president Trump was complaining that Google might be discriminating against true social. And that would be great because I spoke to Donald Trump personally a couple of years ago about the threat of big tech. And he was really obsessed with Twitter and I get why that was his most powerful tool, but for his supporters, the most powerful tools have been Google and Facebook by a mile, Google number one. And so if he's getting fired up about Google assuming he runs for president next time around, that could be a very good thing because he needs to crack the whip on Google who is manipulating elections in a major way, in my opinion. But what's happening is Musk is going to disappoint. If you're a mos super fan, if you think he's some sort of pure guy, he's going to disappoint you in different ways. He does a lot of things and says a lot of things that do make me indicate some of the red pilling is legitimate. I was kind of in the campus at most all performance art to advance his business businesses. I'm not there anymore. I now think he has internalized some of the values you and I have, doctor G, but he's going to keep making mistakes.

"Larry elder by studio guest Alex marlowe editor in chief of breitbart. I have heard that postal worker were exempt from the mandate. Yeah, that was something. I'm not up on where we're at now, but remember we just got the mandate like two days ago. It wasn't a real mandate. It was all trying to coach corporate America to enforce the mandates, which they've largely done. And this answer is one of your questions about why Facebook and why some of these corporations continue to discriminate against conservatives and discriminate now against the unvaccinated. It's because they want to make sure that the people who are in power in our governments and our bureaucracies protect them and protect their business interests. And that's more important to them than making sure that you and I are happy with their products. What's more important to them is that they are protected from government regulators and the government bureaucracy. That's the math. That's the missing piece. Don't these social media platforms Alex lose money by suppressing content like yours? I don't think they do because of those protections. I think they're not a threat. Joe Biden is not a threat to them. Donald Trump is, you would have been a threat to them Larry if you kept rising in the political scene. And that's why they don't like you. And that's what is because you are potentially put up in the Apple cart. To what role, what degree did Facebook play in the elections in Virginia and in New Jersey? Facebook, on the other social media platform. It's hard to know. I'm sure they weren't helpful to the Virginia Republicans. Care of a call for a really uniquely horrible campaign. He was a uniquely horrible candidate. And it is England young did a very good job as well. So as well as the down ticket races, it's hard to know what the factor was there, but I'll tell you when it's not close, they can't cheat, and that's a good thing. It strikes me, it strikes me that when somebody wins that closely the way a youngen did, he did it, not only against his opponent. Not only against the media, but also against Facebook. Every time a total believer in that, whoever controls the information controls the electorate and there is going to our lives are going to be much more difficult throughout the next few years until Republicans are able to at least put these big tech companies unnoticed. They're going to continue to suppress our content. Google is the worst of them all, by the way, we haven't even touched on them at all today. They're the most impressive of conservative content. Did you ever think that these platforms would get this powerful? And it's hard to imagine anything being this powerful. It's the most powerful entity other than maybe the U.S. government may be in the history of the world. We don't know who any of them are. Aside from 5 people show up at Congress and take softball questions. My guest has been Alex marlowe. He is editor in chief of the of Breitbart News. His book is called breaking the news, exposing the establishment media's hidden deals and secret corruption, New York Times Best Seller, a must read, we have it up on Larry elder dot com. Beyond Impeachable: Joe Biden Caught in a Lie About Afghanistan

"Taught give military advisers. Not tell you know we should just keep twenty five hundred troops. It's been stable situation for the last several years we can do that. We can continue to do that. No no one said to me that i can recall. Nobody's said that to me. That i can recall the classic. Dc dodge This is general milley just today cut twelve. Probably it's your testimony that you recommended. Twenty five hundred troops. Approximately stay in afghanistan as i've said many times before this committee and other committees. I don't share my personal recommendation to the president. But i can tell you my personal opinion and my assessment. If that's what you want yes place yes. My assessment was back in the fall of twenty and it remained consistent throughout We should keep a steady state of twenty five hundred and it could bounce up to thirty five hundred. Maybe something like that in order to move toward negotiated gated solution. So who's lying is it. Marxist senile biden. Let's ask the man who is at the pinnacle of the most influential conservative website. Breitbart dot com book market today. None other than alex marlowe addicts. Welcome back to america first dr. Gee i don't know how to think this intro because you've already opened with the crucial moment of hours and hours of testimony today. I and you got it. So i don't even know what i'm here for anymore. Although the whole media is coached up the conservative media gets it. You cut right to this. There's been so many bombshells already But busted by stephanopoulos saying no one recommended keeping troops and then millie who is defended biden. for months and months saying flat out everyone recommended keeping troops. So it's pretty clear to be biden's lying in this is beyond

"Let me give you some breaking news. And then i want to respond to this audio of these social justice warriors on our college campuses. God almighty somebody This is this is absolutely nuts. Have the story in front of me but Shawn playing the audio. Just just just oh my goodness just brings into like oh my goodness just brings it to life six and a half more minutes of that. Oh my goodness. I i all my god first off. May i mean first off. We are not a multicultural. Nation multiculturalism is destroying us. We are a multi ethnic nation. I'll explain the difference. But i i wanna bring you This breaking news That i see on breitbart representative. Dan crenshaw says he is quietly talking to democrats about cutting the catch and release process. That many border crossers and illegal aliens utilize to be released and live illegally inside of the united states so an exclusive interview. This happened On thursday Actually with breitbart crenshaw told the news Editor alex marlowe that allowing federal immigration officials to hold border-crossers and illegal aliens for an extended time rather than being forced to release them answer. The interior of the us would be a quote simple fix legal immigration with massive impact. He goes on to say the issue stems from the one thousand nine hundred ninety seven floors settlement which judges have since expanded were federal immigration officials are limited to holding child border-crossers in custody for no longer than twenty days regardless of whether or not they are accompanied by adults. That's absolute chaos. The fact that you have to hold these people for just twenty days and then let them go. I mean it's it's it's just insane they should be repatriated If they don't fix or if they don't If their claims aren't cohesive with our laws as far as asylum is concerned if there isn't any type of a struggle or persecution due to race ethnicity due to your religious upbringing your nationality You should go by. You can't come to america just because you want to earn a better living or make a better living. It just doesn't work that way. We don't have the capacity to be able to do such a thing so that would be a small fix that will perhaps work As a result Adult border-crossers have used floors by bringing children with them as they come to the us mexico border and the hope that claim credible fear and eventually get released into the us interior with only the promise that they will show up to asylum hearings in the future. You think these patients that were released are gonna show up to to show up to their asylum hearings or or whatever it's not going to happen Crenshaw goes on to say you just have to increase the number of days that we're allowed to hold migrants until processing we'll see if that pans out You know right now and the limit is twenty one days And that's because it's and that's because it's twenty one days for family unit. This is why they bring kids with them. Because it guarantees this again is crenshaw Guarantees them catch and release status. Because you can't hold them. Pass that twenty-one days. Listen here's the bottom line We got seal our borders. We gotta fight for that. That's got to be one of the things that we fight for next year. I i like what crenshaw's trying to do alike fighters anyone that's willing to offer solutions to end these problems. Whether or not some democrats go along. Maybe so biden's polls are tanking so badly. Democrats are starting to realize that he's going to take some of them with him down the drain. Let me speak to this issue again of this audio again. These people these social justice warriors that were calling these other students races on the campus of arizona state university university simply because they had a police lives matter Sticker is absolute nonsense..

"Orange county sandberg. No kennedy's those three ones are going to be instrumental to guess on this. Recall here so it's still got thirty something minutes here. We're going to have three different types of ballots. Come through today tomorrow and the days so the votes. That are gonna come out at eight o'clock tonight or shortly. After eight o'clock you're going to be the mail in ballots which we already covered that. You're going to be seven million ballots that have already been mailed in four million of them are democrats one point nine million are republicans. But that doesn't take into account all the people that voted today and that mailed ballots democrats voting in favor. This recall we have to there. Democrat options on the recall and some democrats have had enough. This tonight is a question of whether or not california as its philosophical direction est correct ruling class that just whatever they want homelessness everywhere on these these democrats. They could've voted. Yes on the recall but left their republican choice. Blink wanted wanted to get gavin newsom out and they just thought they maybe think that anybody else. But gavin could be a lot of blowing off smoke for a lot of pressure cooker. Go to church absolutely again to rick grenell point earlier. There is a a massive massive number of conservatives that do not register as republicans in the state of california because they do not trust the state now to your earlier point on that reporting that we saw out of fox About katya katya sound we can. We can actually play of republican. Only voters were the ones getting told that they had voted before. I personally my my ballots. They showed up at my house on november. So i got my my ballots. The right way in november for this recall. My balance went to my in-laws house. No idea how that happened. Her y okay. Now we've got some other sound. We're gonna play where some people in in southern california receiving five ballots. We got news reports of this. Here's one thing. I will say so so. There is a conflicting reports that we're getting. Here's one good news for conservative. You're watching what you take good news one really good check this out. Jennifer medina reporting from los angeles. This is she says we're thirty minutes away from polls closing with so many male ballots. We could have some quick result. But and this is great. She's hedging already with a close rate race in california and being notoriously slow. We could be here for a long time. Yeah and i'll tell you right now. That the democrats are very nervous with what's happening right now. We just got some report straight from the frontlines of people that are telling me unusually long lines of people that are coming up now just because the democrat getting a ballot doesn't mean that they voted for newsom. This is a pressure cooker election. Are you upset with how he manages the water. You've set with kids with masks. Are you upset with what's been happening with force. Vaccinations this is a recall. Election is so hard for for the incumbent to beat. Because you have to persuade somebody that you're doing a little bit better than not not that you're better than the alternative. Which is what gavin newsom. Do he turned this into binary election verse. Larry need verse trump. Not whether or not. he's doing a good job. Signing things are more expensive. What does it cost to fill up gas of a gallon of gas. We're getting i see. I've seen a number of pumps over five bucks. Yeah yeah i mean. Obviously i saw five fifteen beverly hills this last weekend bipolar. Can you believe out some local taxes. Beverly hills puts on there. But yes absolutely i mean. I was driving through the central valley from north cal. Northern california down to southern california a couple of weeks ago. I saw multiple stations over five dollars in the central valley in the central valley. This is part of that is local taxes. Part of that is california taxes in general and so we just got a text here from jack kids. He says got another report from northern california super long lines. Everyone in this pastor's church has voted pretty incredible jacobs pastor calvary chapel. Chino hills will be coming here. He personally and his church collected twenty two thousand five hundred and three ballots. Just one church. Do you believe that. And we're also just for the stream sake. We're also going to be bringing on specific. Rob mccoy jack. Hibs and alex marlowe lots of people you have in every county broken down here as i commend polls are closing momentarily here and producer connor. Thank you very much otherwise known as tank from doing a great job and give you that. That's good isn't that great tank name for i love it. It's speaking people. Vote on this date on california. Your gas tank gas in california for the last five years has been a dollar higher than the national average on average in california seven hundred thousand people left california last year the first time the population growth has been negative in california in fifteen years tat loss angeles county alone seventeen percent decline in the amount of children born that's unsustainable by the way if you have a seventeen percent of the population loss in california with a publicist mostly. Let's majority hispanic now in la county for that community to be losing them any new children as i mean. That's that's breathtaking. Why half of california's surveyed said they are looking to leave the state. This is real millennials. That number spikes to sixty three percent and the people that are looking the most our young people and middle to low income people who can't afford to stay in california any longer that connor was in san diego. This weekend he played he paid four sixty gallon in san diego the about into the average price of a house. Eight hundred thousand thousand by the way at for a nice house this is a great depiction of l. a. I'm sure you guys can see without the smog..

Call triple eight triple eight eleven seventy-two i go out to eat with these guys. They're terrific they're good people. Andrew and todd dot com people. Ask all the time charlie. Where do you get your news from. We'll get it from a variety of different places. Alex marlowe show. I listen to if i'm ever up very very early. I'm listening when i do. My early fox news hits to inform them listening to siriusxm twenty-five which i encourage all of you to listen to and also listened to tucker carlson and i just kinda felt like we had this really confusing week. When tucker was in alaska last week it was everything was happening down. I was i was texting with tucker. I said you do realize that. The country has changed dramatically. And just a week. And i'm just reviewing the news and then like two hours later. He text me back. Like oh my goodness. The country's changed that we take that for granted when you're kind of in it but within a week we had the osha requirements. Put down the vaccine. Mandates just feels like. Everything's happening so quickly. I think tucker and thirty nine now had one of the best kind of analysis you could say of the f. joe biden chance. So if you don't know this this is happening. All across the country at sporting games at big events and i've intentionally not covered the story first of all. It's a swear word. And i know a lot of our listeners. Don't like that And for good reason. And we don't swear in the show. But i also didn't show it just kinda seemed a little juvenile at first and quite honestly i kind of missed the broader point. Yeah perfectly honest. I just thought oh yeah. It's just a bunch of kids and just people that are pent up alex. Did you cover this at all your show or ya. I haven't covered on my show partially because the same as you. It just means. I gotta make my producers bleep got a lot of bombs. Yeah but it's interesting. Because i want your analysis of this charlie because i'll tell you i'm i was always of the mindset that we should be winning with arguments and we can be cool without having to be vulgar and even though i'm in my personal life. I'm not above and occasional f-bomb of its time perfectly for joke but it's i try not to communicate that way but it is one of these things where i was a little bit heartened to see that people are passionate about how bad this guy is in this evolution with me. I'm not saying i'm proud of it. I'm just saying that's the truth. Is that when. I heard these things but i'm she genuine grassroots enthusiasm to understand that the biggest threat right now and this is what tucker talking about. I don't know if you're asking play the clip. But it would tucker says that the real threat is that eating ourselves alive that so many americans get it in are disenfranchised and their voices heard the media. They're getting slowed down or sensitive and social media. I think that people are going to have to figure out a way to get the word out and if this is it so be it again. I don't love the vulgarity. We don't swear in our team. I've been around other radio shows worship every other word. I also think it's lazy and i. I also think it makes you less likely to expand your vocabulary and to be diversified in. How you view things i just. I don't like being around people that swear a lot. either. I actually find that when you swear a lot. You're kind of cutting corners and other parts of your life. That's not a. That's not a rule for life. But that's generality just say and that generality has proven to be true for me but anyway tucker i had the best response to this and sort of made me think differently about this where he says. Look the the f. Joe biden chance. It's because they're mad and that it's not that they're mad about covert or racism or isis k. That america's actually disintegrating in front of uh right and they want to challenge the regime in the most vulgar way and so if they were just kind of chanting like joe biden's terrible. Yes joe biden's terrible people would be laughing but no they go to..

"News the Nevada Senate approved a bill Sunday to implement a majority mail in election in November. . In their argument Senate Democrats asserted that the measure assembly bill four was needed due to concerns over the Chinese corona virus they cited long lines at the pulse. . And close contact with others. . The measure which was passed with a thirteen eight vote was not supported by any of the Republican members. . Well, , that's good that the Republicans Nevada still have a backbone president trump then promptly got Nevada to trend on twitter. . He said this in an illegal late night coup Nevada's clubhouse governor. . Made it impossible for Republicans to win the state president trump wrote on twitter. . Post Office could never handle the traffic of male in votes without preparation using Cova distill the state see you in court. . The president is one hundred percent right on this. . If we allow mandatory mail in voting to happen unchallenged, , we are headed for the biggest disaster of an election in our lifetime. . There is a reason why the Democrats want mail in voting it is ripe for fraud. . People might say, , well, , Charlie what about absentee voting that is always a small sliver of the amount of votes in the absentee ballots are always the majority of the voter fraud claims as they are. . In some states, , absentee ballots are anywhere between five to ten percent. . Sometimes, , there is lows two percent in states like Oregon, , which is complete and Total Democrat control. . The only way to vote you cannot show up on election day in Oregon. It . is all vote by mail and it starts in early October leading up to election day. . Because of this Democrats US organizing tactics to be able to do a thing called ballot harvesting ballot harvesting is how in Orange County California Republicans wants controlled five five US congressional seats in Orange County after the last midterm election. . Republicans lost all five. . Now Republicans were leading some of those seats such as young Kim on election night. . But then all of a sudden new ballots were found. . Mail in ballots were discovered. . And the Republican candidates. . Fell behind and behind and eventually lost the race. . The way that voting should work is through independent certification with election judges in decentralized fashion to have the most people centered citizen-focused way of voting. . What do I mean by that? ? It means that when you have a local precinct that is in charge of the election for that one precinct, , not the post office of the Postal Service you think called election judges, , those election judges. . Are Bound by the law and they usually represent both political parties Republican. . Democrat, , to make sure that there's no funny business now, , it's not a perfect system voter fraud absolutely exists but a vast majority of voter fraud is almost always voter registration fraud and ballot fraud with absentee voting. . So, , if we admit that the Democrats are pushing for mail and voting harder than anything they've pushed for in recent memory, , the question should be why. . They say it safety. . Mean that's such nonsense. . Worried about people gathering. . Then shouldn't they cancel? ? The local marijuana dispensary or the casinos in Nevada. . In Nevada, , you are able to go to Caesar's palace in Nevada, , you're able to go to the Venetian in Nevada, , you can go to a local restaurant. . and. . "XM Breitbart news daily. You are the bet Noah of the media. You are the people they love to hate. And I I'm honored to have worked with you. Alex, tell us a little bit about what Breitbart news really is. And what's the philosophy? That drives your editors sure and Breitbart is a right of center outlet, but the content. The vast majority of our content is simply news content that we believe a right of center audience or someone who is curious what a right of center audience would be interested in a what they would like. And this is something that we have a lot of liberal readers and listeners 'cause we have over twenty million readers every month, and we have lots of listeners to our radio content as well. But it is the left is becoming increasingly hostile towards different viewpoints. So I wish there were more folks who would at least be curious the evil. Influential Breitbart, like, well, what is on their mind, and they find that we have some parlor tricks. A lot of it is very straight news copy with kind of more fun a little more bombast in the headlines. But overall, I it's it's mostly. News. The vast majority of our content is not opinion or analysis. If this is what is happening in the United States and the stuff that if CNN had a balanced or a worldview where they were even curious about certain parts of the country. Then I think they would cover it and are kind of I counsel our editors to have each story fit neatly under at least one of the following categories. Is the story fun. Does the story have fight. And is this story important. And if it's not then it goes in the filler category. And we gotta keep that doubt. Because he gave away the crown jewel if you're on the right in your serious than what you've got to do is gonna be fun. Remember time it's going to be happy warriors happy about the ultimate happy. When he was he was it's gonna be about the fight. It's to push the issues the values for and it's going to be relevant. It's going to be important. I took that you know, that was on the first aditorial meeting that I took as national security headed for Breitbart and that helped. Me every day. Those are the metrics. Yes. And so e- a lot of people Breitbart different aspects of it, my resonate with you the most. But for me, I've always thought of it as the ultimate conservative news wire. I think if it's a right of center story that is important not arrive center story, if it is a story that a right of center audience is interested in Breitbart nine out of ten if not more is going to get around covering at least once and oftentimes we're going to drive a narrative, which is where we're best in class by a mile. We set our sights on something we we're like a dog with a bone. I mean, we're not going to give it up for for for any means. And so, but if you go to our wires page, you will just see information just tons of information flooding throughout the day hundreds of stories at a time. And it's about informing an audience to be able to go home and be able to make arguments on social media into their friends and family at their dinner table at their town halls of their virtual town halls. That's my favorite part of Breitbart said I think if you go their day to day, you won't find a more interesting collection. Of news, and you'll also hopefully, find some good jokes there and some light reading of the left. I hopefully, you'll find some some crusades if that's your thing as well. If you wanna find something to fight about we were very hot this month on some of the radical abortion proposals in Virginia and New York like that's the. Yeah, sure, you'll see some light cues there about what matters to us. But for me, the thing that's most important lots of information for an audience that's been disenfranchised by the rest of the press and the team members these are important name. So the the individual who replaced me Francaise multo security superb. Then you have Joel Pollock out in California is not back with you guys. Healthy is back with mister culture, you need to check these names out. Charlie sparing who is the White House responded and one of our regular guests here in America. I a r w Hawkins who really I mean, if you want to know about the situation of the second amendment in America today, you've got to listen to a w hall. Skains? Yes. This is I'm sell blast. Doctor Hawkins is the best gun rider around Francis. Marquel? Is a she's just one of the most brilliant people. She covers almost the entire world for us. And we've got folks like John Carney, our economics editor, no one understands maga- economics better than John John not the ultimate culture warrior online. I mean, he is the most powerful opinion rider period. And with a great news knows as well. And I'm I'm gonna leave out one hundred names because I really are blessed to have an expert in every topic. And it's great. It's a pleasure to work with these folks, you didn't leave any up because now they need to go to Breitbart dot com. To go read those verticals. You're listening to you're listening to Alex Marlowe with Mesa of Gorka on America first and now diligent as I have a challenge for you. Can you think of at least one thing that you no longer do that you wish you could do you miss playing golf long walks.

"Have an in-studio guest for the whole hour. None of the than the editor in chief of Breitbart news, the host of Breitbart news daily on Sirius XM channel one twenty-five. Alex Marlowe noted by Forbes as one of the thirty on the thirty for media. Full disclosure. I consider Alex smaller for him on Twitter at Alex Marlowe. I consider him to be a friend. And indeed I used to work for him. Because I was the national security editor Breitbart news before I came into the White House. Alex, welcome to America. First, Dr g thank you so much for having me, and I can say I knew you way, back with you. You knew me before. Things got rough interesting in this country that say that yes, things have definitely much more interesting than when we first met. But I think you and I kind of Sodom coming. They think we knew something was happening. Something was bubbling up wave crest of the way. I think so I think that we're paddling out. So today where we have the luxury of time it's not a one hundred and eighty second segment on TV it's not even one segment who radio it's a full hour. So I'd like for you to take our listeners on a journey here. First things first for those who aren't familiar with you? Let's talk about your journey. Alex malo? Let's then talk about Breitbart because you were employee number one of Andrew Breitbart. Correct. That is true. And this is actually as we're recording. This this is Andrew Breitbart would have been his fiftieth birthday. So it's kind of amazing because he's been gone almost seven years, but his legacy. It is indelible. I, and I think he was the person who first identified that really was the culture that's upstream from politics. And getting involved in the culture are trying to take back the media, also the entertainment world, and academia, I think we're a little further behind on that then we are in the media, but it was important to start shipping away at the fake news as soon as humanly possible and with all your might. And they weren't to be a you're not supposed to have cocktails with the folks in the establishment media. You're not supposed to share a milkshake with two straws with them. You're supposed to be at war with them. And I I like your brand the Salem brand. I had Dennis Prager are now on on our show. So I'm thinking of putting in my application for the PR department for Salem, because I I think I'm a pretty I'm a fan girl for a lot of the hosts here about I try to have the same brand personally where it's about thoughtful discussion. And it's about trying to unpack what the fake news is doing and that they're not your friend, and they don't have the best interests at heart. They're pulling the country in a wildly leftward direction. And if left unchecked the will pull in America, the we don't recognize and they're almost the almost at the edge there. So the theme for today, I think. We could say is the anti fake news. What we're going to do. How did talk about your experience? Alex marlowe? How you got to the point where you understood this was a cultural war. What's your because you were in California? You went to Berkeley, you were listening to radio what what was your personal? I'm a my story will I think will mean a lot to lot of the listeners in this audience because I started out driving around in Los Angeles traffic, and I went to a prep school the era. I was surrounded by the all Steven Spielberg, and Denzel Washington and all these Hollywood elite had children there. And I had a great experience. I learned a lot the the I'm not complaining about the school. But it was a decidedly left wing school where you could see the beginnings of hostility. I and my origin. Really as a conservative was my parents had talk radio in the car. I was Larry elder fan girl. Larry I wanted to bring Larry to campus. And really my school was not go. Going to have it. They had all sorts of left wing, folks. The Ben Shapiro. We need a quarter of a million dollars to secure this. They wouldn't allow larryelder to come. And give us. They didn't think he would be an appropriate voice there. And I found this stunning. And I wrote a thoughtful letter to Larry Larry connected back with me. And my first gig was as Larry elder's intern. So I would help him research for his columns if I was lucky I could go in for the show and try to feed them little things throughout the show. And I loved it. And that was my that was where I started out. You are a member. Really? I mean indirectly of the Salem, mafia. I would say so yeah, I would I would say so especially because I'm fans of so many of the house here, but the started with Larry, and it started with I thought I was a libertarian. I wouldn't say as much now. But Larry was in a very libertarian phase there. I was just blown away by I his arguments, and he was the first guy reached out to he's very receptive. And that kinda got me on the right track. And then what did you study in college? So I went to Berkeley. And I studied political science, but I really studied the institutional left from the inside that that was the goal. I knew I was a right winger at that point. And I didn't know right winger all over to where we're center, I didn't I've always been very iconoclastic and tried to be rugged individualist. And I really don't like labels. I'm going across the board conservative as far as I know. But I don't wake up in the morning and think I'm a conservative, I'm much more focused. It's trite but being an American being being Christian being Catholic. I I'm not really into the identity labels. But if you polled everyone of my positions on the conservative, but at the time, I just knew I didn't like the left. I knew I was on the right? And I knew I would want to take off many as I could while at Berkeley that was not hard to do is shockingly easy known as a conservative. I was yes. And I even at one point was on the cover of time magazine with group of folks who are politically active on campus. So I tracked me down. Down through college Republicans. And then when I was in college conservative groups that I met Andrew Breitbart at a Yaffa event. And that was where really foundation Young America's foundation right on the roof of their Reagan ranch center in Santa Barbara, which they set up to be close to the actual Reagan ranch, which is one of the gems in the country, completely unknown to most people. How incredible it is the property is so vast but the homeless so humble where Ronald Reagan lived in the hills above Santa Barbara just breathtaking so yeah for the shop out there. So when is this meeting where did you meet Andrew this is before just before I graduate? So around thanksgiving break issue. I guess it would have been two thousand and seven two thousand and seven, and then I Andrew gave a speech about culture because he Andrew grew up as a default factory setting liberal in Los Angeles. Are he lived about four five miles from where I lived and directly in between where I lived. Where I went to high school. We knew the exact same people types of people, and we were neighbors essentially, and he was saying I'm pretty sure Hollywood's controlling everything right now. And I'm pretty sure that Barack Obama a heap kind of predicted Barack Obama he kind of saw that this was going to be it was going to be the Hollywood crowd that was going to annoy somewhat manufacturer. Yes. That's right. A made for TV presidency. Does that ring a bell? He Trump fans out there. But Andrew said it's going to be a made for TV presidency. This next one and Obama's rising and Andrews explaining to me, no, it's not just the Democratic Party gave Geffen Jeffrey Katzenberg. It's the executives in Hollywood who are actually the ones who are calling the shots here. And I said I went to high school with those people, I know that this guy's your show, powerful and rich and their their fighter here determined. They mutual admiration societies where they congratulate you come together they stick together. And I thought this guy gets it and Andrew as many people who are. Are familiar with Andrew now Andrew did go to the bar after the this lead? This is not a surprise. Anyone any talk to anyone who will talk to him while he was tweeting. I don't think he was tweeting yet. This is a long time. I was like twelve years. Okay. So he he and I approached him, and I just and I I'm relatively introverted. So that took some guts on my part. And he was editor at the drudge report the time, I was a drudge fan girl. And I said to him that I think you nailed it. I think the culture is the issue now that ubiquitous everyone says it everyone on talk radio everyone in the media. But he was the guy. He was the one who said this is where we fight this is where we fight. And I said let me go with you and fight with you. Wow. That segment just flew by. "Alex Marlowe on Twitter and go to Breitbart dot com. I was pull a short time before I joined the White House, the national security editor of Breitbart, and I'm proud to be such listen to him on Breitbart news daily, Sirius XM, Alex. You have been doing yeoman's work you and the whole team Francis. Martell jolt Pollock Matt Boyle everybody else on the site, but explained to those who are not familiar with it who the masters of the universe. And what Andrew Breitbart would think of them. Dr g you know, I'm a bit of a generalist. So I gotta be responsible for a lot of different topics in order to keep up with the front page at Breitbart dot com, and you touched on the thing that I wanna talk about most today because I have some breaking news here. But I'll I I will respond your question directly the masters of the universe is our phrase that we use for the Silicon Valley tech giants in particular. We're thinking of Facebook Google YouTube, which is the same company called alphabet, Twitter, and others, you can fold look at pedia into extremely lack Langham biased, and you could say Amazon into that as well. That's the president's favorite company on his Twitter. And it never in the history of the world really have. So you unelected people in greater control of the public debate an-, arguably the American government, maybe a handful of other governments, but certainly not unelected people, and you could honestly make the case that would Facebook, Google Wikipedia YouTube, Twitter, decide is the truth, pre and acceptable speech. You have to go along with the phrase masters of the universe was used was us one by Jeff Sessions in the speech about them that was kind of where we got it from. But either originated with Tom Watson, the bonfires and vanities, and he was talking about Wall Street at the time. So we kind of borrowed that phrase in. As our catch all our branding for these Silicon Valley elite who we consider the greatest threat to prestige and history of America at a minimum, and you can see it with the shadow banning. I you can see it with censorship in the d platforming of light of Senator thought the most obvious example that he's close to home this audience. I'm sure there's a ton of overlap with Dennis Prager audience in videos by by bomb throwers, like Victor Davis, Hanson and Harvard, professor Alan Dershowitz, getting banned or put behind firewalls on YouTube because of their content is deemed inappropriate for Prager university. I it's insane and a huge threat. And I think one of the greatest threats of our time what we got a minute and a half left. What would Andrew tell us to do about the masters of the universe? Well, I think what he would it's hard to know. And I really hate putting words in the Andrews bowel. But I know one thing for sure is that he would knock it off the Plainfield. So if you're on the playing field is Facebook, Twitter et cetera. I don't think he would boycott. I think he would continue to fight on those Plainfield. So I think he'd try to convince people to come up with alternatives anti-establishment alternatives and to I don't know what the government's role is in all this. But I think he would certainly want to hold the power to be accountable. And I don't think he would take anything off the table briefly cheesy. But big story breaking tonight where we're going to provide some evidence that despite the testimony of Sundar Pichai, Google CEO. I've that lead evidence that Google and YouTube in particular has manipulated search results we're gonna show that today, and it's going to be pretty exciting. I and there'll be a lot of pressure on the masters of the universe. Wow. You heard it here. First, we didn't rehearse that. But thank you. Thanks for coming on the show and teasing us with the evidence of what the. The muscles. The universe are doing to conservative voices. Follow him at Alex.

"Alex. So you with us. I am Dr J good afternoon to you. And thanks so much for having me on as you know. I grew up on Salem radio. So I think they need a wise choice walk into their stable. Thank you. I think you know, a lot of people that are part of the Salem faculty, especially Larry elder among them. I'm very envious of you, Alex you need to follow this guy on Twitter at Alex Marlowe R. L O W, and he's got thousands of followers. But he follows nobody. That's who this man is. He doesn't need to follow anybody. He's the victim of fashion. But he knows what's going on in the American media. Alex after AUSSIE question as the man who's who's running the bright, but the ship on daily basis basis. Is the left ever going to look in the media in the mirror is the media ever going to get a sense of what is really happening in America today? No, I think if they were we know by now, but we know that the left in the media are very bubbled. Would they only talk to one another and they're mostly their currency is whether or not a small handful of people within the media, and perhaps bleeding entertainment academia, congratulate them on their geek things. But I didn't have that. They don't seem to really care about what else is going on outside of their own bubble. And in fact, even utter denial of it the patterns with the media over the last couple of years is they're trying to behave as though he Trump presidency did not have any logic was a total fluke, and then you can indicate themselves in their own bubble. Worldview. Abidjan naked cell to prove their own concept by nullifying the pre election is it. But his very important distinction. Is it that they don't know what's happening outside of their Acela corridor bobble, or is it that they don't. Take care. I don't know if that's an either or I think it's actually both. I think they genuinely don't care about why over country and for what they do care about them gen-, generally, a disdain for them with a handful of notable exceptions. There is a bit of an anti establishment wing of the of the last, but he is quite small, and I don't think overly influential. So I don't think they care. But I also think they haven't taken the time to investigate by and large 'cause their coverage is largely the shame. I mean, what's the big topic this week on another Russia collusion hoax deputy Reebok's twenty at the end of two thousand fifteen twenty seventeen they simply haven't moved on. But let's let's flip it then if they're completely isolated and that Karl Stein kevlar coded bobble the flipside. I tell me if I'm wrong, you've got your finger on the policy when it comes to conservative media. We seem to be the cool kids. Now, don't we isn't there? An element of. The the irony that conservatives on now the counterculture. Who is who is who is the Ben Shapiro on the left may maybe I'm in my own bubble. But am I missing something? Alex. Sure. And it just seemed like they got one with the cost you a core cash. But I I do think that there's a there's a joke on her that I think people on the left aren't totally wise. I think those of us on the right are kind of laughing at her. I don't know if many people are laughing at Ben Shapiro. I think there I don't think he's got the same. I e. She gets a mockery. She does. But if you look at it, I think across the board, Dr g d this is Andrew Breitbart talked about in this fixated on when he was really at the forefront, a huge, he's a new media pioneer stuff. "You with us. I am Dr g good afternoon to you. And thanks so much for having me on as you know. I grew up on Salem radio. So I think they need a wise choice into their stables. Thank you. I think you know, a lot of people that are part of the Salem faculty, especially Larry elder among them. I'm very envious of you, Alex you need to follow this guy on Twitter at Alex Marlowe. L O W, and he's got thousands of followers. But he follows nobody. That's who this man is. He doesn't need to follow anybody. He's not a victim of fashion. But he knows what's going on in the American media, Alex. After question as the man who's who's running the Breitbart ship on daily basis? This the left ever going to look in the media in the mirror is the media ever going to get a sense of what is really happening in America today. No, I think if they were we know by now, but we know that the laugh in the media are very bubbled. They only talk to one another and they're mostly their currency is whether or not a small handful of people within the media, and perhaps bleeding, entertainment academia, congratulate them on their things, but other than that that they don't seem to really care about what else is going on outside of their own bubble. An impact utter denial of it. I the pattern with the media over the last couple of years is they're trying to behave as though Trump presidency did not have any logic behind. It was a total fluke, and then you can indicate themselves in their own bubble. The worldview a by two naked. So to prove their own concept by nullifying the pre election is it. But his very important distinction. Is it that they don't know what's happening outside of their Acela corridor bobble, or is it that they don't. Care. But I also think they haven't taken the time to investigate by and large 'cause their coverage is largely shame. I mean, what's the big topic this week? On another Russia collusion hoax deputy Reebok's twenty the end of two thousand sixteen early twenty seventeen they simply haven't moved on. But let's let's flip it then if they're completely isolated there in the car Stein, kevlar, coated Babul, the flip side and tell me if I'm wrong, you've got your finger on the policy when it comes to conservative media. We seem to be the cool kids. Now, don't we isn't there? An element of the the irony that conservatives on now, the counter culture who is who is who is the Ben Shapiro on the left. I mean, maybe I'm in my own bubble. But am I missing something? Alex smaller? Sure, any seemed like they've got one with the cost you a court cash. But I do think that there a there's a joke on her that I think people on the left aren't totally. Why do I think those of us on the right are kind of laughing at her? I don't know why as many people are laughing at Ben Shapiro. I think there I think he's got the shame. I think he gets to say mockery. She does. But if you look at it, I think across the board. Dr gee, this is Andrew Breitbart popping out in this fixated on when he was really at the forefront. He's in he's in new media pioneer starting at the drudge report, he invented the Huffington Post, which many people don't realize so all that great fodder you political junkies.
