"I think the look aheads for sure we definitely saw some action on Detroit. I think we were 17 and a half, I think on the look ahead early in the week and now it's down to 15 and a half. But nothing too significant I would say. Yeah, I think our price Todd was a little below the 14 point mark. So I could see 17 and a half having value now down to 15. Going back to that Thursday night game, obviously, we've seen a lot of people. On social media and a lot of former odds makers talking about the drop off between Baker Mayfield in case Keenum. And I think we kind of aligned and saying that Keenum has familiarity and Stefanski's system and we didn't quite make it the four point adjustment that we've seen in the market. Where do you guys align with that drop off? Is it more like a point and a half two points in your mind? Yeah, I think so and we spoke about a little earlier as well. I think not alone. Is it just a drop off between them? Would actually think Keenan might make some better decisions right now than baker may feel not alone as he's scrambling for his life a couple of times last week, but he's also scrambling in his brain as well. So I think case Keenum is definitely pretty serviceable here as you said he knows Stefanski's system already and we agree. I think our look ahead was exactly 6 and we're at two now the four points feel the little excessive and that's the primary reason I think as to why we were looking to shared Cleveland from now on in, but yeah, I would think somewhere more like two two and a half for the drop off in terms of our raw numbers. We probably would have been 5 and a half to three, I think, just based on the change. Makes complete sense. And I know again, the card is a little iffy this week and you haven't seen a ton of sharp money on sides or totals. Is there anything that maybe is peaking your interest? I know Kansas City in Tennessee is a big game with the Titans coming off an upset win on Monday night and it looks like the chief's offense is clearly humming despite the three and three record. I think for me personally, that's probably the one I'm most interested in. I think the chiefs have mast, how good they've been, particularly on offense, just through turnovers. I think they're either number one or two in the league with 14 turnovers through the first 6 weeks. We know that's obviously pretty unsustainable. And yeah, I think EPA, we have them, I think number one in the league on offense as well. So like you say really homing. I think it's been masked by the results. And the shape of the games, they overcame obviously a pretty bad situation from turnovers against Washington and still hung. I think 31 points on them last weekend. I think their team total somewhere similar this week and we obviously saw some injuries some of the corners for Tennessee. So yeah, I'm pretty excited by how many points I think Kansas City can run up on Tennessee. And I think the Titans can have some success offensively and that obviously explains why we've seen a little rise in the total from 56 to 57 and a half as well, so screams points in that game. So that's probably the one I focus most of my attention on for sure. You know, one final question for you, John, and it's not a game that will preview on today's show, but we'll get to on Monday kind of when we recap the weekend and everything else. We obviously had a chance to see Geno Smith start in prime time against the Pittsburgh Steelers a game that was not aesthetically pleasing by any stretch of the imagination, especially in the first half, while Seattle scrambled to identify an identity, ultimately turning to Alex Colin. To get them back in the game. Have you done anything to try and figure out exactly what you feel a true adjustment needs to be from Russell Wilson down to Gino, as you see the saints now an overwhelming favorite on the road in a stand-alone type spot and one of the more hostile environments that they'll play in all season long. I don't know that we looked at or at least I haven't looked at I'm sure the guys have, I haven't looked at it and spoken to them exactly just to find out what the number is versus Russell. We made the game for four and a half right now. There's been a bit of a move. Towards New Orleans. Yeah, I think without Alex Collins last week and I'm pretty sure he got banged up near the end of the game. I doubt they'll have the same success on the ground against New Orleans that they did last week. So I guess the move makes some sense. The sales coming off by as well. So I haven't looked at exactly the difference. I think Geno is pretty serviceable. I think we've seen enough from them. Obviously, it's tough week for him last week until they got the wrong game going as you mentioned, but I think that was more to do with the defense rather than necessarily his inefficiency. So I think he'll probably be required to pass the ball. I think we learned a lot more about him this week, but the obviously a significant drop off from what Russell was doing. I see pain, that's why the Seahawks had to go out there and get Jacoby and it'll upgrade their overall power numbers once he becomes up to speed running the offense and the heir apparent in Seattle to Russell Wilson when Rus moves on to greener pastures. You can follow John on Twitter at Jay sheer and that's HER one 9 8 one. He is the Robin Hood of bookmakers. His words not mine, John best of luck this week and my friend and we'll look forward to chatting with you next Thursday. When we have arguably one of the best games of the season slated for prime time with the packers, headed out to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals. Sounds good. Thank you, guys. You know, John says a lot of things pain. I didn't anticipate him calling himself the Robinhood of bookmakers today. So that threw me for a bit of a loop early on. He has been rooting for them. I mean, it was an absolute bloodbath, the first couple weeks of the season. So it is good to see that money back in the ecosystem as John said. And it needs to be a fair fight. And obviously, you know, I think you mentioned same game parleys and their Yahtzee when they hit but the reality is, I think we discussed you and I from guys that we've spoken to behind the counter. Like averaging a 28% hold on those? So that is going to be a long-term losing proposition. But when you have a slew of favorites hit, sometimes those cash and for betters ourselves. If the only ones in the market were professional betters, there really wouldn't be a market. So from all perspectives, whether it's the sports book side, whether it's the sophisticated better side, we need more money into the market. There is no doubt about it, more liquidity means boy, I probably shouldn't have said that out loud. You just cringed there in your tone. No, no, no. What I was gonna say to piggyback that point is more liquidity in the market means larger limits, but it does also lend itself to slightly more efficiency from the book making perspective as well. So always great to get John's perspective. I know it's a relatively unattractive sleep, but plenty of nuggets there that our listenership can take away and try and use whether it be.

"We've got five big topic. Bring on jacob gibson a little bit. We're gonna talk about michael thomas. He could be back this week. Hey we're going to our tuba hubbard and josh shakeups trustable. Obviously you have a bit of a shelf. Life on shubra hubbard. We hope anyway. But can you trust him in the meantime and what about josh jacobs. We'll talk about the quarterback position on the whole second half breakouts and hopefully if we have time. The chicago bears backfield. Well chris last. Monday night was so incredibly fun that ravens the colts game the overtime thriller the wins and the losses. What fa what fantasy. Football's about so. I hope we get it tonight but just in case we don't. Let's pretend that sunday was great to write overtime. Alex colin yeah deontay johnson. That was a game came happened. What did you think of it. Well let me ask you this decay. Metcalf chase klay. Pool and tyler lockett. How much faith do you have in them. Going forward facing a word. I think you should use in this context. Faith has positive connotations. Look i i think you probably i think you probably start mcafee. Probably start klay pull moving forward but this is you know we talked about it. I think i think it was on sunday. Show before or maybe thursday when we weren't sure if tyreek hill was gonna play and we talked about how many call hartman wouldn't necessarily just step into a bigger role klay polls and a little different situation because he was mostly only playing three wide receiver sets so when the steelers went to two wide receivers. He was typically off the field before. Juju smith schuster's injury. That'll be different moving forward..

"Sprain is definitely better than a high ankle sprain but he's still expected to be sidelined for at least one game This is a big injury mixing was going at the end of the first early. Second round depending on what. Your drafts were He was off to a good start this year too. So this is a big injury for a couple of weeks for most fantasy owners. Yeah i think it's only one week at least that we know right now. It's not gonna cripple your team or anything like that but you gotta be worried about mixing. He has such an extensive injury. History that you just add this one. You know another other injury. That his his long list and hopefully It's a it's a minor you know one to two week thing and not the not the same thing that happened last year where it was. Oh he'll be back next week and he'll be back next week and the week after that door he's coming and he never de you'll. Aj green treatment. Where you just never comes back. Yeah it's just place i are. They just keep saying. I'd actually so painful for the fantasy for the fantasy team when that happened last year. Do you have any interest in t- ryan or chris evans or are you just looking elsewhere looking elsewhere. This whole line is so terrible. It's gonna be the running into the back of the line. I could just see it. Getting more heavily in The boyd chase higgins game and tight end. You know might be a good option here as well. Yeah agreement. i don't want anything to do with p. Reiner or evan. At this point unless we find out that missions for the season they might be interesting for a long play but not for one week last back we have to talk about his chris carson battling neck injury that caused him to miss practice this week on the problem is they played tonight. They have the thursday night game against the rams. If he is going to miss the team is likely gonna rely heavily on alex. Colin they also have homer So i'm not quite sure what that back they'll gonna look like but colin got a touches once Carson seemed to be injured towards the end of the game. What are you guys. thoughts on. If carson is questionable if he's out any interest christine collins where we know interest here you know in a thursday game seattle running backs. Don't get many targets at least carson has an up until this point So it's a hard pass for me. That'll be the rush show and they'll they'll turn it over to him and she would if he can win them the game and hopefully their defense can keep it close. but it's i don't want any touch any shares running backs in that game for seattle. All right hopefully those running backs. Kim get healthy shoe and get back on the.

"These force Leader of animal Now on your Apple pod Smart speaker by saying Horrible music. Thank you. Join us Father in London A Friday broke yourselves Gonna join it in 14 minutes to be exact great hole today. Best quarterback for the 40 Niners since Steve Young. And as you said, pretty easy for the top four. Joe Steve John Brody. Why Tittle after that, and that's kind of what Today's poll is with Alex Smith coming in Colin captain and getting a lot of love, Jeff Garcia's in there. And Jimmy Garoppolo those who your four choices today. For Polish big poll. By the way, a lot of not only a lot of votes so far, but also people very Very passionate about the quarterback that there Voting for one says Indy, says Garcia. Really people still rock the white five when I go to games, but it's Colin or Jimmy by quite a bit. Somebody disagree with you saying Going to cap was the correct call in 2012? Good luck winning that one. Let's see Jeff Garcia. Three. Probab. Uh, nods knew how to scramble around to extend the play. Got the ball the T O. Let's see that that that but like you said it depends too on what you Value. Jimmy Garoppolo Colin Captain, got the team to Super Bowls. I know they had good defense is, but how does that play into it? Some people want stats. Obviously, when Alex Smith got with Jim Harbaugh, he was 19 5 and one after the early Years, but he was only with him. What about a year and a half? But so what do you think of that? So, anyway? Great pole. I mean, after after Harbaugh arrived, Alex went 13 and 362 on one before I get bench And then he went to Kansas City and in Kansas City was 15 and 26. They made the playoffs for the five years and he had them in Washington and six and two before he got hurt. So you're looking. I mean to me. There's a lot of similarities between Alex and Jimmy. I think Alex is more athletic was more athletic. I'm not sure he's there or ever will be again after what he went through. About Alex. It was a really He could run for a first down Often. He was really good running quarterback. He ran everything. I mean, as far as arm strength capper neck had by far the strongest arm but the most erratic Garcia was undersized and he got it down. What Which The beautiful part about this Polled. May is, you know, in other polls we've done we get a lot about. Hey, what about this guy? What about that guy? So the Mount Rushmore four. You could maybe make an argument for Frankie Albert? The 40. Niners first quarterback. But it just You know, it was a different game back then. So it's hard to really, you know, look at those numbers for and why a turtle was that good of a player. I mean, We know about the Joe versus Steve controversy, But when John Brody got drafted out of Stanford, he still had yh. It'll here they want up trading under the New York Giants, and why it's little became an EVP performer with the Giants. And a great player, So I think that the top four are so clear and then that's why we couched it. You know, after Steve, but these four are also Very clear. I mean, you get a lot of what about this guy or that guy to me, With all due respect, Torto, Shaun Hill or Blaine Gabbert or, you know, I don't want to generate anybody giving them respect Now. I mean, it's so clearly after Steve, the conversation is Jeff, Alex, Colin and Jimmy. That you don't get a lot of. Oh, you forgot this guy. So I think we got the right before we got the four on the Rushmore. We got the four in the poll today, and everybody's gonna have their own opinion on what it should be. And I think we're gonna have You know, we had some that I thought would be almost 25 25 25 25. It didn't turn out that way. But I think we got it Should you see by the time we're done today and looking at it over the weekend because they can vote, you know tomorrow as well. Uh, I think this is gonna be unevenly balanced. It's gonna be hard to declare a winner John. We may have to go toe litigation into a higher court to come through with it familiar by the end of the show today. I'm just saying, but the way Jeff must've been texting his friends or some of his friends also been listening. He just had a surge. Jeff Garcia now leading the big poll, 37. We get Garcia on the show. Should I reached out Kelly? We should absolutely we could cause he'll make the case for himself. It's not like you know, some guys would come on and say. You know, Alex this or calling that Jeff would be like. Look, this is why she wouldn't pull Jeff's dad. Remember Jeff's dad. He called talk show. He called this radio station get all mad, and people criticized the sun. We are seeing is a head now. Is that what he's surged? I think that he sent out a mass text or something because he reaches out. Believe me, He's competitive as hell. You know 37% for Garcia. Catholics and 29%. Alex, that surprises me. But, you know, I often have a pull of poor fools of the people who say that three times fast They pulled out of the people because I thought Alex based on your heartstrings. And coming back would win this thing, but he's a 24% and then our friend James Garoppolo, Geico, Jimmy 10%. He's at.

Preyed upon and then raped by a superior officer. Last week Republican Senator Martha mcsally from Arizona shared her story of assault before a Senate Armed forces subcommittee hearing on sexual assault in the military. Unlike so many brave survivors, I didn't report being sexually assaulted. Like, so many women and men I didn't trust the system at the time. I blame myself shamed. And confused. I thought I was strong but felt powerless. The perpetrators abused. Their position of power in profound ways. Senator mix Sally served for more than twenty years in the air force. And she was the first woman to fly in combat, but the experience of being sexually assaulted almost cut that career short stay silent for many years, but later in my career as a military grapple with scandals, and they're wholly inadequate responses. I felt the need to let people know I too was a survivor. I was horrified at how my attempt to share. Generally, my experiences were handled like many victims. I felt the system was raping me all over again in two thousand seventeen reported cases of sexual assault in the military were on the rise. That's according to the department of defense which received nearly sixty eight hundred reports of sexual assault involving military members that year up ten percent from the previous year's numbers. It's something we need to talk about. We start today with a look at the culture.

"Both walked away early. And I've always said to this day. The Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson never came back to the league or played for another team out of respect for the fans who still worship and adore them in Michigan. And the raiders had car, Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack and Jon Gruden and I believe it was his ego could not could not build around that. Because people would always say well Gruden did it with three guys who were there. Right. So he takes over. And Mike Mayock who has gone from a draft insider to a top-flight analyst. And a guy who knows his stuff when it comes to football is the GM in together. I think they're going to cleanse the entire roster were every guy on that roster will be a Gruden draft pick or free agent pickup. And by the time that stadiums built in Vegas. Gruden will walk in there and everything will have gruden's ham prints on it. He picked the GM. Because you you look at Reggie McKenzie. And you'll say, okay, Derek Carr. Khalil Mack Amari Cooper. They're build the foundation. It's amazing man in management Nick can be in any business on how quick they'll just. Clean house when you know cleansing is necessary. I mean, you had car Cooper and MAC tell me that's not nine and seven this year. We're going to build for the way you build for the future. Have you looked at it? Oh the. Cold, sir. The texans. You had it. And now, I think he's mentally broken. Right. And I think he's gonna want his own young hotshot quarterback. The groom that gruden's Gruden selected grew draft. Groom worked them out combine Gruden groom grooten. But that's what the raiders did they gave him total control. That franchise. The reason he came back what a ten year deal at one hundred million and he's gonna get his guys in there. I think there will not be a player in a couple years that was not a Gruden draft pick or free agent pickup. One eight five five two one two four CBS. That's one eight five five two one two four two two seven. I need you to teams that emerge from the other in the AFC to get to the Super Bowl. And where do you think Antonio Brown will we play in this season? In September, Pittsburgh, or what NFL city one eight five five two two for CBS Skoda, Freddie in North Carolina. You're on the Saturday night. He'll show. Yeah. Hello eugen. Good. Good to hear you again. I really like he has a talk show host. You're really good guy. You listen to other people. I like that. You're good guy. Where are you listening? Were you listening right now North Carolina Friday? Well, I'm down in eastern North Carolina bow around Kelston, LeBron LeBron James that area. Awesome. So my favorite country in America. Then. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Close to the coast to new Vernon and morehead both. Just North Carolina's a beautiful state. Well, thank you, sir. Well, I appreciate you taking my call. I had an analogy. I like the analyzes stuff, and you listen to me one time about the NBA would need we need to take a correction for that league. But anyway, not getting that I tell you. I'm really in across this time of year. I'm in the NFL mainly about the football. We've got a great league there. I give them credit for having a great league there that know how to run a league just about competition. That's what the NBA saying get a competitive league. Hey, why don't want to get on that? Well, look off Baltimore. Baltimore's got a chance in the AFC in my opinion. What and I know all balls, a smart coach and everything, but I here's my here's my take on that situation. Lamar Jackson has been doing good. I agree with that. I think that's you know, running that offense, and they will not use that kind of offense defending that Abe, and here's my now with their defense. And why they've come together as a team with a great defense special teams. Good real good. Yeah. They're they're really to go on to win. But my deal is. I don't think they can get it done. All the offense is side of the ball. Yes. Depending all Lamar Jackson but calls a what I see happening is the same thing. And I think he that go on spurts with him what they get bogged down. And I look at the. That's what he should do is called slack owes a team guy. And the top of office Hurons is is totally contrast contrast to what Lamar's doing with option and all and. But I think I think that if they would implore gets flacco back in the mix and don't use them that much maybe use a thirty percent of the time, but running man some into per se. Get the rhythm. Because I don't think there's going to be any friction there cosies a team guy. And I think because I think as they go on to the fourth quarter. I think that they're going to get bogged down again all the offense van where they can't pick up. I just like they did against Cleveland last weekend. And then I won't keep winning those games. Like what a great defense supply like Dwight the guy pulled at linebacker pulled off last week. But I think with flacco you see you could keep the opposing defense is all their heels. I'll think yes in what's going on. Because defending the flacco office as the prototype. Deep pocket pass vertical offense at ain't still thought the ball downfield. But it I got the good receivers competitive guys. Look, thank you. Mix that in and and this will stay on court. They'll be unbalanced they'll be you know, they'll be off key. They won't they'll be all out of rhythm and the out of step. They'll be guessing. And I think that's a using a car. They're trying to use a contrast. That's a perfect contrast because. Economy is totally different between. You know, what my friend? Appreciate your listening to North Carolina and enjoy the NFL places we get and I wanna follow up call that. There's a change coming in the NFL and everybody is talking about Gruden everybody likes to follow the leader. And they're looking at Mahomes, and they're looking at this not quite air raid offense, and Andy Reed's been fabulous with Mahomes, and he made that tough car. A lot of people were surprised Alex Smith hill second time, Alex Colin Kaepernick Harbaugh, and they went to a Super Bowl, and he made that call and then he makes the call on Mahomes and Alex Smith, and we think there's going to be a, you know, a two year period for Mahomes to get comfortable and the guys the MVP this year. There's going to be this spread. You know, what Lamar Jackson is doing? And I think originally Harbaugh did this in thought he would get that either changeable as a follow up to your comments this interchangeable offense. And teams went know what's coming. They haven't been able to stop them. Hey, watch Lamar Jackson college. And he's as close to Michael Vick. The nod Robinson that we've seen. I mean, just he's amazing. Cuyler Murray would be in that category with Oklahoma. You can't stop them. And that's why Kyle Murray singing about baseball with the as versus the NFL because you're rule and the talk of the jets, and what he's done with Baylor, and the coaches that were look at all these vacancies. And there's a lot of retreads, and that's not a negative against anybody on that list. The these college coaches Lincoln Riley, signed his extension. There was talk that he was going to go to the next level. You're watching this read one pass option, and I think the NFL's going in that direction. I do. I think you'll get some old school teams. But man, John Harbaugh running the option with Lamar Jackson who saw that car can join in your huge opinions one eight five five two one two four CBS. That's one eight five five two one.
