My first celebrity crush. I loved the bangs. I was always on. Everybody was because people were so shitty to her people are so she everyone was, but I think a lot of gay people were on Tanya the judge for to her everyone was her. She hadn't grown fucking close. You have anything. How is she? So. So here's where you'll smoking. Yes, she's still smoking. So I I've liked to to New York to Williamsburg Rick shot, and I watch I Tanya on the plane three time later. Rowe. And then you don't know she's going to be that. I I open the making door. She's the first person. I see I spread my arms out wide. And I gave her a big hug, and I said, I'm so sorry. Larry hating on the nice with her though. It's like silk office pool. Anybody recording this? Well, hopefully, j rat. So I I I I say I'm so sorry that how do you would you guess, it's okay. It's better than being a punchline for the best five years. Margot Robbie nailed it. She got her. Exactly. She's great issue. Nice. Really? She's fucking Anna. How many times did you bring me up random conversation so much that it was like she had to read? So the goal. I thought she was having a seizure. I stuck wooden spoon down her mouth choke on a row, wait. So the goal of this show is to become the best of the world, limitations. So how do you? I looking at your face right now. I have a feeling in my every inch of my body that you do. Well, I have no poker face. I do you win the angered -able Asian thing. Skipped me you do. Well, I'm not going to say that I won the whole thing. And I'm not going to say that I didn't now when you win the whole thing. Do you make a ton of money you make a ton of money for your charity? But but it is like dancing with the stars. Where the longer you stick around. The look what is your charity? My charity is raise a child which. Recruits create foster fan. It's streaming app which will probably be absorbed by the Warner app, which is coming in the fall. But it's the it's I'm not a comic book show person. And usually when I'm on a television show. I'm like you can win. Okay. But this is a really really great show. The cast is amazing. They're all misfits. They're all outsiders, and the comic book is wackadoo. Like one of the characters is called Danny the street. It's a gender button non-conforming street that that transports to different cities until the weirdos. And there's a bureau of normalcy in the USA that's trying to get rid of it. And there's an FBI agent who chose to a drag queens. Con doom patrol patrol on the DC, you a DC universe. "Family. No, no. But I that was me I became apparent immediately. So where did you go? We went to a place in my neighborhood where I live on the on an in Highland Park eagle rock area. We went to a pizza parlor that was had wholesome ingredients and non scary because there's a Chucky cheese in my Bank right near CJ fancy me, not near Nikki, it's or. I isn't it. I just don't I've never been. But now, I kind of want to go tonight. Jesus really interesting. You have to abo- pit. Go to tease, you better. Purchase a has Metsu all. All the grows Boorda bell. Yeah. See you get home. You realize I assumed this shit. There's a kitten house will. But it is certain point. You're like, I this should be official, right? Yes. So what is the process between two right fostering, and then to adopt. She he had to get parental rights. Terminated term, it's called and you posture. Adopt higher Lord. Business. Yeah. Higher lord. Just the organization to state gives you a lawyer. Okay. The state provides everything and you also get a check even after you adopt, which is really nice. I appreciate that check as for my therapy. So. You get a lawyer to do all that. What was question when you decide that you want? We'll get official that this you want to make this official cross teepee are happened six months into the adoption because he was so old the thing that was. Interesting to us about zion's case was he'd been in the system for so long. The mother had been given so many chances to if you do ABC and d you get your kids back. It's pretty easy to get your kids back is if you really want your kids back, it's a matter of Guetta job clean your house. Stop dating a murderer. And when the judge. Yeah. Little things if you really want your kids to high fly, no those murders. So. Callback. In. So that they want them to be back with their parents. But so she didn't show up to any of the court hearings. She didn't show up to any of the visitations. That was the thing to kill me. She had an opportunity in the first six months together to visit him and never showed up. So that I had to not even say we're going to visit your mom because I didn't want to set him up for than so nine months into that. So teepee terminated she still had another sixty days to change her mind and then nine months after he came to live with us. He was legally adopted and there's a place in toward city terrace where all the adoptions happen. And it's just a really really happy day our courtroom had the most people the most diverse group Purnea Adams was there. I haven't you know, I had transgender showgirls. I have underwear model just fill out the place and like hugging my in-laws. And it was just something. For those nine months. Oh, you can watch the whole thing on Alec MAPA baby. Daddy, my Showtime special which is now playing on YouTube. I can't sprint so everybody. Please watch that. But yeah, that's fantastic. But I have to ask you. This was your. For those nine months as you're falling in love with his soul in building a family. Are you everyday petrified? You can get the phone call. But you know, it's one of those things it's kinda like the phone call is back to here's the thing. I'm I'm a total narcissist. Like, I'm surprised that. I'm even making eye contact with anybody. There's there's the mayor's way over there look into it. When you have a kid, it's not about you anymore. Do you know what I mean, it could be up all night going? Oh my God. My God God. But it's like he needs to be fed. He needs to be washed. He needs clothes he needs. He's crying right now. He he scared right now, he doesn't know where what he needs right now. He's in a bad mood right now. And so you're constantly in the process of doing. I would I it relationship. Yes. But from an outsider's perspective, it's really easy to say. You know? What what could happen? I mean, there was that Britney Brown talk where she said the most on its on Alex right now, they said, the most terrifying emotion, we can feel as human beings as joy because you're like, oh my God. What's going to happen? You know, you're seeing your kid off the senior prom car crash. You know, when you're when you're standing over your child, you know, you're like you're thinking, oh my God. I didn't know. I we adopt kids. This is why we adopt kids. This is the only reason dot kids little kids is to what they look like when they're asleep to feel like when you're looking at when your sleep. It doesn't matter if they were assholes the whole day, you're like that's goddamn angel. Wait what? Now, maybe when they sleep is just beautiful. There's. Chardonnay Kwan never sleep. She know. Okay. So we we have now. And so now exhausted your patient. Old your family having a teenager. Who was that awful? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. If anybody wants to kill me today and make it look like an accident though. Stop it. But no one can hear you Fags east, you're sharing the most awful thing about puberty was described to me this way, you you you she formed the most emotionally intimate relationship you've ever had in your life. And then they break up with you may break. My son has broken up with me emotionally because that's what we need to do in order to evolve you break up with your parents when you're fourteen are there any strike any sweet moments, though, when you go my boys back. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So yes, or no. I mean, do you recommend it for me? Look at me in the eye. Okay. Do you recommend it for me parenthood? I think you have a lot to give somebody. I think you have a lot to offer. And if we are all alike, you're all your mom already to everybody. You know? Right. And this is kind of that on steroids, which he loves. Yes. Yeah. Thrive. And also there babe magnet you walking around with the baby. Then you would then you would get laid big time. Yep. To tire. Tired? I have to because now you, of course, you are a father, but you are busy Hollywood professional alloy. Actress kids profession, and you are on food network's worse worse elaborately chefs in America in America. Now, I love this show because it takes people can't boil water. They actually asked me years ago to be on the celebrity version, do it. No. Because I cook every day. So I was like I doesn't make it doesn't make any difference. They just want you do you are you really bad at the and follow a recipe. I didn't have any instincts on my own in terms of temperature for the oven. How long like I don't cook steak a lot. I didn't know I cooked meat a lot. So they ask you, and let's talk about who's on the show with airing right now every Sunday food network nine eight central and also streaming on the food network. There's there are some grapes levies one in particular. Kim with Louis Taryn manning Morgan Fairchild Tonya Harding Jimmy Walker Jonathan lip. Nikki Jim J Bullock the shit. Great cats. Jonathan live Nikki he's a little kid from Jerry Maguire now, he's like, yeah. I have to talk about Tony harder. Yeah. Yeah. So I didn't want to know who was on the show. I was like Ryan give shit. I know. I just I was like I was like the first day. I walked it. I was like this isn't a who's who gives us shit. So so I I said I said this everybody wanna hear my Jimmy Walker impression. It was like running. I'll take it. So funny Jimmy Walker dynamite. So I fly over good times. You've never one time. I don't I didn't know. Sorry, don't tell me. I said that I don't know him. I saw them. So why did no have good times? How would you be on repulsed drag race and never watched Goodson? I don't know prefer plethora. Acting job petty.

Good earlier today. He may. I have no do that. It's. Love walking around. And the you know, when you know, I saw the couch of my straight. People keep the city clean. All the couch. I thought that's Mark couch. Own. Victim. And it went up. So you see the couch you go. I wanna sit on that every day. I thought when I saw CJ. What color is it? What color is black the couch. Okay. Race. Oh. Rough trade. Every two syllable gonna get it taxi. Marie please. Yet will basically that's the story. I just sat on the couch know. I know it's kind of you can probably explain it better than me. I kind of mod it's mod. It's I think it's mid century modern century, not abrasive Lee. So it's there's no hard lines on it. It's soft, and it would you call it like a great blue like vats, and it's a lure materials very very soft. But very. Well constructed. Yeah. Yes. So you sit in it doesn't slide or anything. So the couch. They brought it in you. I am living. They had the couch their couches here. What happened was wiped as but on it? I was kind of happy. He did it. He claimed it. His. But there was no poop just an. He was just an. Like all. Yeah. Well, we're very happy very happy. You're here. Everyone's getting really local sneaky my goal to lure everyone in. I'm now three three fourths of the show, which means Fags Z how many force or left God. Please don't do gone. Any more three? Three eight one. God it tell them. How you got judging me man, half of a half. What is half of a half? A third no half of a half have half half at my finger and a half. It's so fun to do math with eggs e. So if there's half, so there's four of us, it's right for you. It's not fun for me before half of it is to. And half of half of us is a fourth which is one of us. Did I show you on member? Anyway. The point. Loves to throw math at me and terrorize me with told Fags into math quiz. What I call it fell Jabra. I know you said something. Enroll areas, but I have. "Harding harding. Why won't you know? They're gonna. I understand the Kerrigan because of Tonya Harding, and I hope that one of those judges is going to be you know, like sitting there going why? Making a salad with a with a nice blade. But it's funny. Jonathan lip Nikki he's that little kid. What was he cute kid in Jerry Maguire got ugly? And then got ripped just say he got a glee. Can help you can help your weight ugly. To make. Save your money. It's still ugly. Terron manning. Alec MAPA can Whitley and wait for it. Jimmy walker. Dynamite? Oh, my is going to act the fool I have to watch this. So this comes I think closer to the end of the month, and what they do like all celebrity additions of our favorite reality or game shows, the food network is doing this one they get their competing, basically for twenty thousand dollars for the charity of their choice, and of course, bragging rights, so well, brag on being the worst celebrity cook land wasn't was this the show. I feel like what was her name? What's her name? Very public struggle with her weight. Phillips Wilson Phillips, Carl Wilson wasn't she on this show? I have no idea. I can't confirm or deny that it wouldn't surprise me though, because Carney Wilson has made a career for herself in the reality space, by the way, remember carnivals also used to have her own talk show at one point in time. So this seems to be kind of the trajectory of we're going to be kind of famous in the eighties early nineties and then in the mid nineties, we're gonna get ourselves talk show. And then we're going to start doing reality television in the two thousands. And now, we're on worse celebrity cook. I mean, they're worse ways to make a living at one point. She had Bell's palsy Carney Wilson. I just read that on her Wikipedia Bell's palsy that's the virus that you get where it makes like your face party your body. Paralyzed for a period of time says she said things going on here. Life girl has had a walk going on. Yeah. Anyway. Well, this is a recipe for fun. I'm just here for like bottom tier celebrity experiences. I know Colleen is she she would be all over the show because she was like a fan of all those this realize real life at cetera et cetera. These are sort of like the newest incarnation like let's just throw a bunch of these dealers on a competition show, and these aren't even dealers. Yeah. This is definitely after. But I'm good. I'm glad to know that Jim J Bullock. He's let's see fifth nineteen fifty five is what he sixty three sixty three years old. Yeah. So I'm just glad to know. He's doing stuff and making money. Yeah. Now, I looked up his Instagram account. And he hasn't really posted anything since twenty fifteen so he really needs to his social media game. And then he needs to interact with us we need to get Jim J Bullock on this show. That's what we need to do this. I think that we can get enough lift celebrity. I mean, we've had tan mom faira Abraham on this show. I mean, some would argue that, you know, tan mom celebrity has eclipsed Jim J Bullock in some. Yeah. Yeah. We could do this social media. Do we know? I says he hasn't posted on Instagram since twenty fifteen. Okay. The bold and the beautiful he was in two thousand. I'm just looking at his IMDB to see what else is out there. And he really hasn't done anything since like two thousand fifteen so maybe this because a lot of times, we know. And if you guys are just joining us, and you're like, what are you talking about Jim J Bullock star of stage and screen from a long time ago is going to be on this new worst cooks. In America show on the food network at the end of April. What I was going to say is that this is very often an opportunity for them to sort of put some life back into the career this way for them to get their name out there. "We're going to the beach this weekend never really gotten to go to Malibu, which now is where I live. So I always have this full circle moment. Wow. Wow, incredible story. No. When you have spoken with other kids from the Disney juggernaut. Do they have similar stories? Do they talk about how it was Kismet? And how the was weird or dizzy kids get together and commiserate on shore. I've I'm wished I had more friends that I grew up with don't have many. And I think it's because and I don't know anyone really well enough to say, but I think I have a real joy and happiness doing what I'm doing. And I think there's some there's some people that maybe feel like there's a struggle to break out of what they've had. And they haven't had that acceptance yet. And I think it's because I may be wrong. I don't think they've partied hard enough could win you already really hard you go look everything got me to the I took a fucking break everyone else's so scared to take a break. And I think if you would take a minute and go enjoy yourself, you go all while my life is. So great. And I really think there's something into a therapeutic part of releasing let it go and stay up all night. You're looking for anybody. I see Rico at the air one. Oh. All this. No, I just had an epiphany. And I thought this before I just remembered the coffee if I did have a big Gladys a copy. The role that was built for you. And you actually, look like her is the jazz singer Anita day, you look like her you sound like her, and it is the role Miley Cyrus that will win you the academy. Mark my Senate here. I can I tell you this sense. The share episode the other week, I gotta find my gotta find my moonshot moment. I got find this moment. I have find some sort I love acting, but I wouldn't want to ever do it again. If it wasn't a character. I mean, I had this fantasy and I talked the Dalai about it all the time and bringing Jolie into real I have been talking about the love your talent. Thank you tell that story. But girl, don't you? Netflix deal is something I saw I do that's happening can produce when you leave here. I want you to look up Anita o'day. She was judging wildlife of wildlife and actually many people Madonna at one point many people have tried to get that story going. Yeah. But it's when you see pictures, you're gonna free. Yeah. You're gonna freak because you look like and you sound alike. So anyway, yes. So now, obviously you are on our show. I aside from Dolly Parton whose. Ever met. Dolly Parton is your urine guarding there? Yes. How old were you? When you realize oh my God. This is Dolly Dolly Parton I ever cared until they asked me to get on Hannah Montana..

"Whether you love to hate, it's part of your pass is that I was got a sense of you you I love it. The kid I might Lewis show. I love this show because I realized I mean, there's all these kids, especially on Instagram. Now, there's these young boys and girls that are ten years old doing drag. There's a couple of meeting amazing kids wanna where they got that. I wanna where they came up with that. Is in dragged. Yeah. Holdback clean. And you know, what today it was actually funny because they're talk about spirit gum. I'm like, I know this still we don't need to get the country one-two-three how to get this shit off. I would have to go back and forth. And I mean now that I'm older I feel like it looks really funny. A really small kid in a really big hair. And good here. And Reed release from. No, I had to say I remember going in my mom was freaking out because the woman who made my wig made Nicole Kidman's. Unlike even this is just so strange that I the best. Future. Don't nobody got the lakefront game on lock the Nicole. As almost freaking. Nodded? The woman were NADA. You're in LA billion. It was this woman named Natalia. Holly sound good good. Yeah. Yeah. She sounds fancy. Yes. So you see you relationship to this. Character was your point where you had to learn to love Hannah Montana because his are like, oh, I don't want to be associates, but how long did it take for you to say, oh, I really did this from eighteen to probably two years ago twenty three twenty four I the hated. I hated it since the last record my last record was called younger. Now, it's not going to be my last record up where the show 'cause I got new record coming on this fire fire with snowing. Those of us was to say it, but I get too excited on your side. Title, but I'm working on the next one, but it was called younger now. And it says even though it's not who I am. I'm not afraid of who I used to be. And now is my kind of funny because I really found this. I didn't really get to be a kid very much because I worked so. But I wanted that I'm not a sob story made me or crack the whip I wanted it. But then when I got older, and I guess it's kind of the same thing that people will find in drag characters me getting to put unicorn horns on my head and glue gummy bears myself made me feel like I got to be a child when I didn't get to be let me leave this fan, and I got to get my fantasy. And so that I kind of created this character of this younger now character because I wanted to be able to wear silly things when I didn't get worse things I had to dress like a pop song and the actually almost even cast me in the show because they thought I was too young the Casselman else and re they shot a pilot without me and knows who wasn't. I don't know don't know who got the game. But I came in. And they said it just didn't work because you know, if something isn't right? You're not gonna happen. So you can have the same characters. You can have the same wigs. You can have all that. But if you don't have the person that's meant to be it's not make it happen. So I had like barely any teeth because I was so young when I had to wait. This is the worst waiting game ever for my teeth to grow. They were basically like, you're you're all they've all fell out, and my mom because she wanted me we'll have straight teeth to be on the show put braces on the only fourteenth. I had. And it was out of control, and I showed up to dizzy and the guy goes, whoa. From the videotape, and I came in real country with fourteen then some braces on the few that I have. Wearing a teaser mom got from the mall that said, I should have my own TV show was very proud of and went in there and saying, and I wrote I had written a song for it called..

"I'm such a mom where you out today where you out today where you today and Toni Collette would come in so quiet and so stone face, and I was like she's an introvert she wants to be left alone. So for three weeks, I didn't talk to her. I would say good morning, and that's it. And then I talked to if we had because you are in that movie because I'm in that move in Carlisle. Yeah. Once. Yeah. In really, heavy Filipino accent? I'm adorable. Yeah. So Filipino accent in the mood be surrounding joke because everything's. It is. Dot. Ecorse that like you would be called individuals roof all because of the access they make up their apple. So. She has this kind of Visayan of get it. Whole vibe was I'm getting ready to leave me alone. So all the other headings before you before it, take your take and in the makeup trailer. Yeah. I mean, so I was like, okay. Everything about the vibe was hands off. Don't talk to me L the the queen's were in her face. Like, how are you? Can you picture with me? Can you sign this for me? And so the other Queen they were actors from Vancouver. Robert Kaiser, Chris Logan. Yeah. Member it was so long ago. So they weren't. Yeah. Yeah. So what happened was I thought? Okay. I leave Tony alone three weeks into the shoot. She goes. We're at lunch and we're in line, and I always get my lunch, and I go to my room. So I can regroup like meditating be ready for the thing. So she goes I'm going to Hoover island this weekend. And I'm seeing the psychic do you wanna come with me spend the weekend with me and my sister? And I was like I haven't said one word to this lady for three weeks because I've left her alone. Yeah. And giving her the space that gave her the energy in the space shirt. So you're safe-space. Yes. In that interesting that I love Tony Coletta. They thought you're kinda like that at work. You know, what I, you know, I leave you alone. Everything about is kind of like, okay, I'm not going to interfere with what's going on. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, I'm shooting this thing down here at one of others now, and before take there is so much there hammering and I'm trying to I'm trying to re you're gonna do like, I've got business. Oh, I pick up the coffee, then I go over to the phone and do is are they going? There's all the stuff some trying to gather. Remember what my business is to do in the and remember what my dialogue is because I've just memorized nine pages. And that's not counting the nineties us that it, you know, it's a muscle that after a while you somehow it becomes stronger, but people I'm able to go. Hey, girl, while it doesn't help you doesn't help. It doesn't help you. And what I'm letting go of is in my fifties is I'm you know, I'm the third or fourth children for kids. Yeah. I was the people pleaser in my family. Yeah. And so everything was about like consensus, are you? Okay. Are you? Okay. Okay. Are you? Okay. Okay. To my own detriment. Yes. So now what I work if I need a moment to be quiet. I need a moment to. Eight. Yeah. Because no one they're not going to stop the project. Production for me to go. They don't have to create that. What are you July seventh tenth July ten? I love Kansas, by the way, love them or cuddly. Yes. No. So why because. "I made my twenties and a lot of cleanup. So fifties are about like who am I really who am I really beyond the career beyond the possessions beyond the body who am I essentially? And how can I align myself with that energy? So that I'm coming from that place. And so you letting go of your boobs, I mean, it's symbolic, but the big metaphor is you're gonna Jeter sitting all the that. You don't need. I just get so interesting that he said that because I've been going through this almost like when you're pregnant there's a thing called nesting that you do right for you give birth, and you know, your parent. Yeah. And Marianne Williamson talks about. That the time and it spiritually it's time in your life where and of course, miracle says this you need do nothing you the most important time of your pregnancy is the time where you have to sit completely still and do nothing. Well, I found myself wanting to get rid of things, and I've been going to my house and cleaning up and getting with I am hiring somebody to come in and take pictures, everything that I have that. I don't use. If I haven't used I've been watching Marie condo. If it doesn't bring joy, it's go. It's gone. Yes. I got rid of so much. It's all out of the closet. Yeah. I was out of your day. And I was like all these clothes are Q. There were you the right in my size. It was great. But yeah. So it just turned fifty. I'm getting rid of the boobs is the first symbolic thing to get rid of. And I've just decided I don't need all the shit that I hung on out of room amount of space. I'm not kidding. It's ridiculous. Right. I want to get rid of things. I'll do stuff for in the linemen. Yeah. You you're craving more and more alignment because as you reach this age, you also all the things that came up before in your consciousness like oh that makes me happy or that's enlightening or that's exciting to me. It's like I've done it. Iser red carpet. I've done the step, and repeat I've done the party had the kind of like enough thing enough attention that. I know what is what's real? And what's not real? So right now, you're concentrating and cultivating more to take you to the nag. Alec. Yes, you're circling the mountain once again, and they say spiritual growth is like a spiral up mountain you pass the same things again. But you're from a higher play. So you're either using your your new perspective of your old perspective. So it's like when this because the same stuff comes up again. And your personal life and your professional life. And then you have to make the choice. How can I see this differently which perception is going to bring me peace? I didn't mean to get this. No today. We could talk about shoes for the next forty all roads lead this conversation. The only conversation in town where and you know, it's interesting you talk about cleaning house. I see it as making space for new conscious new ideas to come and live with you. Yes. Because a lot of that is being it's so crowded, there's old tapes old idea that just take up so much so much space. And then what's scary is when you discover that stuff when you want earth it when you unearth those old beliefs and you're like, oh my God. I was doing golden girls withdrew druggie in whatever. I did. Angela. Oh, yeah. Nancy Walker but I played too like Tony soprano. She was basically. Yeah. So drew, and Jackie, and Sherry, and I all working together drew was telling some story about he was LGBT center, and he was backing out and somebody almost hit him and the woman leaned out of the car, and she goes, and she goes you almost hit me and shield back. Are you on meth faggot? Oh, and and drew said that, you know, we're we're out gay, ma'am. Nobody would ever mistake us for hetero than we've lived with that word since we were in kindergarten..

If we're all together, they will be they have no every reference of every cultural thing, and I'm just like, I know how I feel about it. All right. Remember, the name the thing that they how how are you in relationships because you are so. To to me, you you've always seemed like very, very spiritual and very curious and very open. But also, so unfiltered, are you like that in our you like that new relationships as well? I'm changing. I think I'm thinking on the way over I don't think I think about relationships that much. I think that that's one reason I like working in a partner couple is because I'm so work oriented that. It's how I filter through the whole world. I think I'm bad at relationships. If you wanna know the truth, I'm paying gotten better because I think I I grew up in a house where my parents were really they met in junior high school and how like never fought until now finally they're fighting because it's, you know, all the tension of the end of my mom's losing her memory little, and you know, but I didn't my grandparents fought, and they didn't love each other. My parents never fought. And they did love each other those were the two models. There is nothing in between never learned how to have like an anytime. I would have an issue. I didn't it was like went from zero to fighting, and you know, disaster. So I like, it's all good. You know? And then in just say recovery, whatever. There's is slow hard to talk around. How do you say that you know, when you I then went to from no feelings to every feeling every feeling all time..

"Twenty four hour news. More stimulating talk. Voice command away. Just ask Alexa, play KFI station from iheartradio. Wow. KFI AM six forty Sunday morning with Elizabeth Espinosa hit me up on social media Twitter at E underscore, Espinosa ESPN, say and Instagram at Elizabeth espionage and also hit up my girl, Marianne Muller, liling Muller Liley. And that's you got quite the last name. I know really care about me to know how to spell it and say it. With me or something. This is your forty six year enacting. You are incredible. You have so many awards for your civic duty all that you've done. In fact, I can't believe she's here by the way because she is working with Hafer organization. They are working towards ending poverty around the world. There are three countries you're working on specifically right now with a certain charity. It's raising money on October twenty first which we talked about in the last segment we're going to get back into right now. But I love that increased over three hundred thousand dollars for them. Yes. For heifer international. It's incredible. I started in twenty eleven I've always fund raised. I if I weren't an actor. I would be a fundraiser. I don't mind asking anybody for anything. If I believe in the charity I love so the convictions. They're very just an opportunity just giving people an opportunity either. It works for them have done what? So then why should somebody right now listening support Hafer? What do they do that so much better than other charities? Well. For me, number one. They respect the donation dollar. It is not frivolously used in any way. I think seventy eight cents on the dollar goes to program, which is to end hunger and poverty, caring for the earth. I've been involved with them. I as as a simple donor, and then it happened that I was on a series and was making a good deal of money and my husband and I tied in a fifteen percent. So I started looking for a charity that I felt was worthy of what I considered a great big donation. And after a lot of investigation and research, I came up to them. And I am I care more about them than any charity. I've ever been involved with and I've been doing charity work my whole life. You are sixty nine years young. Will be seventeen next month, which I love your birthday is actually a day before my brothers, which is adorable terriers. Yes. I knew that about you miss Marianne. You've seen her on. At least I used to love watching passions on NBC also on will and grace. It's the list goes on all your work. Your body of work is impressive. I know we should talk about it. But I just did a fantastic movie. Very. It's called welcome to pine grove. I was so excited to get in the movie stars Ellen Burstyn and James Caan there the love interest and it takes place in a senior living center and an Margaret is in it, what is trip to meet her. She's so charming, and lovely. Oh, oh, such a deer just a wonderful woman and Jane curtain I'd worked with unserved rock. I did I've recurred on that show. So for me seeing her and French Stewart was like old home week going home and seeing them, but I'd never met Christopher, Lloyd. And he was a total trip and just delicious. I bet he in fact, you know, I went I I am debate every one of these. So I would have a good grasp of their career. And I thought I know I've done a lot of stuff we've actually done the same number of things is on a slightly more visible. IMDB we both and two hundred and twenty-five shows. Oh my gosh. But you know, a lot of his our series. So there's forty four episodes underneath oh, there's ninety Sixers. Anyway, he was so great. We had such a good time and only would share this one scene with him. But that was that was lovely and. Alec mapa. I'd never met him. And I love his work is wonderful comedian. And he's great in this movie and Loretta Devine fan of hers and my scenes were worth her a lot. And so anyway, it was terrific. Well, I love every time you come here. There is something great that you're doing with your work because last time you talked about well, I just shot. This little commercial with little commercial a franchise McDonald's. And you're funny. Remind me again, you're you're you're you talk about McDonald's. Okay. I'm just this grandma. Who's really got a lot a lot of things on her plate. You know, she's got full rich life. And so she kinda overdoing the her own home version of buttermilk chicken tenders. That's right. Because if you're if you're cook, you know, that does take time, and you're gonna get burned with the oil and everything. So she just does McDonalds because they're that good pass him off as their own. And it's turned into quite of a campaign. You know, I now have done I have to on now. And this my thirteen and fourteenth one. That's incredible. That's that is just so cool. I love watching you. I feel like, oh, there's my friend. I am your friend. You are you are adult until October twenty first. Okay. Guess please. Mark your calendars, October twenty first noon to four pm. The location is NBC Universal Studios are back. Lot tickets are only one hundred fifty dollars and with each ticket. You get free admission for children fifteen and under and you're supporting an incredible. 'cause you said three countries, right? A we're concentrating on three highlighting, you know, at the event, it's Tanzania Vietnam. Ecuador? So there will be food by Wolfgang puck for each one. Of those cuisines will be represented, they'll be entertainment music and dancing from each one of those cultures their kids activities also from those cultures and from. Like, I think I mentioned before that we have one woman who is going to have children make farm farmers of a little dolls out of farmers with her. Yeah. Her materials, let's talk about heifer in the work that they do. So. So the money goes to helping them farm or what what is it does it do specific? It is primarily what is known for is placing animals with poor farmers, and then giving them the educational tools to maintain the animal's health to reproduce the animal to get the byproduct processed by product and get it to a fair market value. And so they basically give them the tools to empower them to lift themselves out of poverty in the goal is to get a poor family to have food security education and healthcare, you're empowering their livelihood. They and they just need to be given the tools, they do the work. It's it's great. Model? I just actually got chills thinking about it has it. I've been to Vietnam I've been to Honduras, I'm going back to Vietnam. Because my donor group called partners for change is specifically targeted to raise two point nine million in five years for the Vietnam dairy development projects. So we went and mezza farmers and looked at their homes look at where they are in their lives. And now we're four and a half years, and we're going back in February to see what they've done with the the help from heifer, and that help is everything I've been to Vietnam as well in fact years ago. Yeah. And I don't think I went out into the delta. Yes. Thank God to the urban areas rural areas as much as you have. But there is there's such a need. And I think when you do give them those tools, but you know, speaking of Vietnam and speaking of the fact that there's quite a political climate happening right now, I would be remiss if I didn't ask you a little bit about how we compare. I mean, you are sixty nine. Nine year old vibrant woman who has seen a lot in this world. And you know, what would you say is if you were to if you could be president what love life lesson? Would you give everyone the people who are angry the people who are because I feel like on both sides. Everybody's frustrated. Right. Whether you're left era. Righty? I think at some point we just have to come together as one voice because when you go out in the world, right? Like you have and you see true poverty. I mean, we're talking there's no electricity. There is no drinking water. That's what's on your mind. Not who's going to take the who's gonna go into office. Right. Yeah. What would be your message for unity? You saw what happened the Vietnam of protests you live through that? Yeah. I just you know, I'm of the mind that were given this one life and the greatest gift you can give anyone is love, an empathy and. If you're of a different opinion than I have, I'm happy to talk, and listen, and I don't need to convince you you don't need to convince me we just need to share each other's ideas and understand each other and move forward in life with love and caring. I love that. You said your mantra is also do your best and forget the rest, that's kind of the way I feel it's been really a wonderful model for me to live by especially as an actor because I'm constantly rejected in my work. You know, you're cautious to prove yourself. And then you don't get the job. But it just goes across all all areas of life. You know, whether you're, you know, in a girl group, you know, you've got your pals or somebody in somebody's a little difficult to be around or, you know, people gossip about about you or certainly in this industry as well. You're always judged looked at your constantly. And so my thing is. My life really is between me and God. And try to do my best. Even if my best at that time is being judged by somebody else's not being all that. Good. Okay. This. I did my best. And so I do forget the rest. I don't I don't mind it if I don't get something or somebody doesn't like me you're in a somebody thinks I'm fat or whatever it is. I just don't care genuinely truly don't care when did you really get time though. I mean. When you start in the acting world, I got that kind of early. It's. I heard I mean to be honest me, you know, I I there are people in my life. My husband or say my sisters, maybe not even my sisters. Shirley, my husband who loves me more than anybody else in the world. If he said something that was negative that would affect me. But I've been married thirty years. He's he never has done that he truly loves me. You know, you are a blessing. I am you are blessed. But you also, but I think that we also earn our blessings and you have done such an incredible job in giving back. Right. You could also, you know, sitting your little Hollywood LaLa land and not do anything, and you're using your platform and all of your abilities. To to make a difference for others. So thank you. Thank you for that so much Marianne. I wanna I wanna pronounce it. Right. It's alright Muller. Liley? That's very good. Like that was practically blood. It's crazy.
