"So how can you take us back to May twenty ninth. Yeah it was. It's just a regular season game cubs astros welcome back inside minute maid park cubs in Astros. Wrap up in interleague interleague set. Those are two teams loaded with talent and at times it felt playoff light because there were some great swings in the Game Schwarzer pretty well let center and then this terrible incident involving a two year old happens happens in the fourth inning. Now more is up too bad Albert Bell Morale who's been struggling for a while and I think he was just starting to find his footing On the season he's been really good for the better part of a month. Now pulled down the left field line. I just happened to be seeing exactly what happened. That moment I followed the ball off the crack of the bat. I saw the ball strike a fan. Can you hear this scream. You saw what was really chilling was how it went silent. You hear others around them. MM screaming I heard someone call for their dad. saw man run up the stairs clutching would I believed at the time was his daughter and the rest of his family scurry up the stairs with him and it was a tough moment as a reporter to watch that it had shaken everyone in that ballpark. Once we kind of understood that a young child had been struck with the foul ball and in the immediate aftermath. What did we know about the girl who was hit? She's you know a toddler a very young baby. There was very little information given about what happened to her. There are varying reports. It's about how she was doing in the media aftermath any updates that we've seen or heard have have kind of come through secondhand information. Why that isn't isn't nobody really knows but obviously it's their right to to have that privacy and and try and deal with the situation on their own? Do you remember where she was sitting. I'd say a little little past third base just beyond the dugout and that's about where the netting ends usually most ballparks the Nettie goes above the dugout all the way down to the edge of the dugout and the line drive just got cast that knitting. And can you just describe for people who just to visualize how you're getting a ninety mile an hour fastball. And and you're fouling that off. How quickly that's getting into the stands? That's a split second. It was one of those things it was a low line drive. Nepal can be you know. Crushed it a hundred route ten miles per hour if you take your eye off of it for a split second. It's impossible to get out of the way of a ball that's heading straight for you and then if it skips off a railing if it skips off seat the best athletes when it takes a bad hop can always feel it cleanly i. I can't imagine just someone sitting in that seat is going to be able to react properly and get out of the way of that ball and so it sounds like there are a couple of moments that really stuck with you from this incident and was Albert Al.. Moore's reaction after the the play. Yeah Albert told us after the game that he followed that ball and he saw it. Strike the girl immediately. He went to the ground over for more junior. saw that line drive to the crowd and that was not a good moment. This is gonNA take a little while to regroup. Just covered his face ace with his hands. He was shaken clearly. Stay down for a while. Jason Heyward he immediately came to Albert's side and kind of consoled him soon enough Joe Madden came to his side was whispering in his ear trying to calm him down letting him know that. This isn't his fault the game stop for for me. It seemed like a very long time. It was probably just a few minutes. It seemed like a really long time. And that's rare in baseball where you just stop a game like that for ball. Eventually he was consoled he came back up to the plate play restarted and it was one pitch to and to on our moral swings and misses for strike three. It wasn't close to the plate and he just flailed at it and then headed back to the dugout and then he tries to get an update on the girl's condition a half inning later. This was another moment that really I think shook everyone. He walked over to that side of the field. Right in front of of of the stands and started started talking to some fans and they pointed to a security guard the security guard it came over to him whispered something in his ears and he started to break down crying again. We do not have any update Albert visibly shaken. Eventually we learned that the child was at least talking and and awake when they left. I think that kind of comforted Albert. He was able to fully release all that emotion and that you know very visible reaction that no more had continued through the game obviously and then to the post game press conference and he was very he was still very shaken in in the clubhouse. It's one of those moments as a reporter where it's really tough you. You know you have to talk to the guy but it's also clear that he doesn't have a lot to say he's he's still shaken by it. As a survey hit the first person I locked eyes was hurt so obviously I want that to happen an intent for that to happen the rest was kind of a blur the rest of that bat. And I'm I'm I'm speechless and lost words. All he could think about was protecting that young girl. I WANNA put a letter on the host stadium.

Dexter Lawrence Among 3 Clemson Players with Failed Drug Tests for Ostarine

"You have big games for Kirk cousins. And and guys like that. But ultimately the goal for every game is to win the game going out win the game. The bears won the game fourteen two nine some people say not an impressive game. You know, what they want the game in the NFL is not easy to win yesterday half. The teams lost the bears were not one of those teams. They won the game fourteen two nine Seattle went to Levi's stadium last week and played the Niners. Guess what Seattle lost? So you know winning is the ultimate goal. And that's what the bears have been able to do bears defense. Of course is a team is is the biggest part of this team. They got another interception yesterday as daddy to Raith and picked off a pass late in the game. Which was obviously. Big. No they needed to do that. I was really interested to see how they were gonna play without Eddie Jackson and they'll probably play without Eddie Jackson. Again this coming week. I think this coming week without any Jackson. Going up against the Minnesota Vikings team that needs the win to guarantee themselves a playoff spot. This is going to be a test for Dionne Bush at Adrian Amos ammos actually had a really good game. I was looking to some of the numbers earlier and let me see here. He's not running this one. I have I had so much stuff on the game where Adrian ammos actually had a pretty decent game. Would I grab his tackle numbers for the contest? And that was good to see because Adrian, ammos, he was second on the team in tackles. Roquan Smith had nine tackles Adrian animals had eight. So he stepped up his game without Eddie Jackson being their trevathan was seven Khalil Mack had five. You only had one sack that was the roquan Smith when he came wide open. So very very important stuff. How the bears are going to play defensively playing against the Niners without very good receivers. And when the young quarterback is one thing playing defense with Kirk cousins and Adam Phelan and Stefan digs and Kyle Rudolph. That's a whole other story playing in their building. So that's gonna be real interesting to see how the bears are able to play and defend this Minnesota Vikings team three one two three three two three seven seven six. Let's get back to some baseball talk to old town Georgia on ESPN thousand eight George. It looks like betting that they're trying to force. The dodgers handle that extra clearance on the payroll, which is I think, you know. Was the master. And I think a fallback of Pollock would be fantastic. If he stays help you what do you think? Yeah. Stephen Pollock healthy is a huge huge situation. You know, if in fact, you got him you could that actually move guy like Albert, Al more. If you're going to cause I still think they're gonna have to move one of those three guys I've been saying that all off season and it hasn't happened yet. So maybe I'm wrong. But I kind of thought they would move either. Now, Mora Ishwar or a half the more. I look at it. It's not going to be Schwarzer. They love Schwarzer. He's like one of their kids one of their little kids their own kids as well. I think it would be either Hapoel more if they did grab a guy. Like Pollock that'd be a completely different story. But you you think the the Harper situation, you don't think there's any changes coming here. Do you? I really think he's he's kind of an LA kinda dude. If you know what I mean? With the hair. Coast to coast. I mean seems like the perfect fit out there. But why not force the hand if we can and try to call back. He get stronger on our end. George. Appreciate the call. The one thing that I think the cubs have gone forms aproach the season first of all they won ninety five games last year. Okay. It's not like they you know, they had an awful season. They didn't hit in the last month earlier. It didn't hit in down the stretch, and they need to figure out why. And it's so it was so much fun. Watching the ball, very rarely say this.

"The giants here the first pitch lefty too left east la stella takes wild where was that right out over the plate was down but i think clearly into strike zone with a curveball i didn't even look borderline that's huge call the ball it's one zero second and third one out pitch is and other curve this one mrs off the outside that was close as well tune then zobrist on deck he would come up with the bases loaded if stella walks which from the giants perspective i mean you never loved to load the bases but would put the double play in order put the force play on at home the to l pitches a fastball high very high and after that first pitch was called the ball maybe it just encouraged will smith to be even extra careful so we'll see three oh and infield still in for the giants i'll feel shading stella to hit the opposite way in the air three zero is inside ballpoint watching which not an intentional walk but there was definitely some intent behind that zobrist coming up both dyson and garin are in the bullpen getting loose got albert al more on debt kurt young pitching coach is come out and talk to will smith.

"You know the offense you know of course eleven rods yesterday didn't hurt but the offense is doing pretty good white socks three point nine runs per game twenty fifth in baseball runs allowed you know it's pitching and defense cubs three point nine one runs allowed per game that's eight not too shabby white sox what do you think they're rank is under double d for thirty the worst pitching defense and defense in all of baseball five point eight runs allowed kirk game what about the so yeah so if you get into some of the underlying stats you got the cubs are forced air ray the white sox are twenty nine the cubs are fifth and opsec's hitting stocks as bad sixteen so they're hitting his you know not so pretty much league average fielding white socks nineteen minus nineteen defensive runs saved so their defenses cost them nineteen run so far this year twenty eighth in all of baseball that's pretty poor and that's really where this where it's showing you know we do factor in a lot of these types of misplaced mental mistakes growing to the wrong bates and that's factored into our defensive analytics so that's back you see that right there in the defensive runs saved excuse me i haven't yet quote here i'm glad you've went there you're that direction right there this is from the tribune few days bad guy l albert l mara marken zala has a quote l morris says i don't really follow the analytics stuff most now here most of the people who deal with that i guess that would be eugen most most of the people that deal with that never played the game you went there and especially the circumstances of playing here at wrigley field he's talking about that was after one of those real windy days and the sunny days and the curve and oh well and a foul line wall comes right up so how would you answer if his listening right now albert al mara who says number one you know you don't you never played the damn game i thought you were telling stadium wants a play can you play the game right and little john we all dead bad we all dead i just keep going out there during your job you.

"Missing this team at times and it's gotta change i thought the best hitter of the night was ben zobrist i thought he just missed on a bunch of balls that double fouled off some hard hit balls so i you know people thought he was the fifth out of five outfielders well he was the best hitter on the team last night so you never know how this thing's going to go and the five out there all have their strengths and weaknesses so i think it is up to joe to put them in the best position to succeed couple of balls if the windows were closed might have been in the seats yesterday on the ball as well when he gets to three days off you know he's usually a strong strong hitter i don't know what joe is going to do what the lineup today i imagine he'll put this oberstein a second day in a row he might give a day off to either buyers or russell moving biased assured or given by as a day off but what does that you know what expression i'm really getting tired of hearing it's not from you this time jesse just joking you don't i'm really getting tired of this jason heyward well you know even if he doesn't know i'm quoting many people here okay so if you're listening out there and you're one of the people and not just only talking about you jason heyward even if he doesn't hit he's still runs the basis well and he's a very good fielder i can go down to the park district and finance guy anyone can can be a good base runner and a good field at how victor carey teeny can't asking us jesse fred aren't elbow del moro done about the hitting tonight say that albert al maura he's a very good base runner in a very good fielder.
