"Working class fierce brilliant sense of humor, but you have your photographs. You know that some of them don't have shoes. Even in old times era, and the biggest problem for the time was that the kids and silicon Madras school, which was the new school. They'd come down to the links because they could earn money for their family, you know, so you have these little boy caddies. If you see there's a portrait of Freddie tit. The amateur champion and his family live here today. Saint Andrews. And it's a boy caddy. You know, and that was always the problem about getting them to stay in school to get some sort of education. Rather than being done in the links where there would have earned money for the family. You know, so it was a really hard thing. It was like a circle really. Because you didn't get the education, you really couldn't get out of this circle. We were amazed because we never really thought about it. When we learned kind of impressed with two that golf was invented and for the longest time, was a winter game. Of course, yeah. Yeah, because the harvest is done. You know, you've done a cut all our crops, you know, so yeah, so and then also, you know, these Byron courses because this was Byron, you couldn't grow anything on it. So then you just go out and play in the winter months. It was definitely more popular for the winter sports. You know, you would have your seasons, whether it be the harvesting, the growing, and the supplying, et cetera, and then a lot of activity on the links. Wearing all that heavy material and the wool and whatever their outfits and then adding in the cold, wet temperatures. That's insane to us that when we were hearing some of the scores that they were making and some of the shots that they were hitting, the distances. Especially at a press wick that eagle that was made. It's like, how do you even accomplish that with all that on? And that cold weather. But also added to that. So the hole is 578 yards. So Tommy, but Tommy is at the point of winning his third in a row. So you think, well, you know, I'm going to win the bell. I drive if I do this and you think, well, there's a lot of nerves. Must be a lot of nerves. But it gives you a measure of the man that, on the first hole, you had what we would think of as an eagle, somewhat may be called an albatross, you know, if there are any, it was sublime, but it speaks volumes about Tommy, Tommy Morris being the sort of confident youth, because he's still a teenager, he's 19. Which is incredible. And it's also, it's all the more tragic that he died 24. You know? And he died. You know, just a few doors up here. Really? Yeah, yeah. How did he pass away? So his wife had died in September. And so he had moved back in with his mom and dad and it was obviously brief stricken. And on Christmas Eve, he'd been up with some friends and home and spoke to his dad, Tom Morris, and then said goodnight to his mom and just went to bed. And then a Christmas morning, which you would have fairly big morning. Tommy didn't, you know, didn't surface who told him to get him. And find him dead, he had died in his sleep. And what happened? It had an aneurysm in his left lung. So effectively, bled to death. And there's various theories about that, you know, he was on tour with somebody whose family had TB. And maybe something's gone on there. But yeah, yeah, it was just tragic, really. And a couple heavy moments in the show. Yeah. I know. What could he have won? What would he have done? Tom Morris went on and created over a hundred courses designed over a hundred courses. But what would have taught me I've done how many more opens would he have one would he have won 7 and therefore still be the. Record holder for the most wins? So it is tragic thinking what was lost. And there was genuine shock and that's why 60 golf and societies came together to create the statue, which is at the cemetery. And I am delighted to say they've opened up the cemetery in the opened up a path now because it was closed for the last couple of years and they've opened it up this week. So people can go to Tommy. Is it right down? It's right down the road right here. Absolutely. Try these all about it. Yeah. Honestly, it's brilliant. And there's a photograph of Tom and Tommy together. And they've taken the likeness of Tommy and used that for the photograph. So it is fantastic. And his Greek a granddaughter still lives here and still lives and Tom's house above the chart. And she tends to the grave and keeps it looking pretty. Tommy Morris is great, great granddaughter. Tom. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So it's still the family that she's still here. And looking after the grave and she's a wonderful ambassador for everything to do with Tom Morris, you know? Incredible. It's just their Alan Robertson lived beside the attaint grain, you know, and that's why we have the open. Tom created the press course for the open. And then his son won the open four times, but is the reason we play for the claret jug. And also just to throw it into the mix, their next door neighbor won the open was the first to win the open three times. On three different courses, you know, so yeah, so around the 18th green, it just it is fundamental to open history. Was this whole town built because of the golf course? No, no, this was a place of religious pilgrimage. So the reason why it's called saint Andrews is after the bone of the apostle. So they were brought here in the 8th century. Wow. And so people were coming here for pilgrimages. You know, and they thought the waters were blessed. Not realizing that the waters, you know, you would get pretty close to God if you go into the water today. The academy said something funny that it's the difference between where we are with beaches and where a trail was that children would actually be sent to the sea if they were misbehaving. Like, oh, if you don't, if you don't, if you don't like shut up, I'm going to put you in the water and you have to go for a swim. Which is totally different than New York, where it's like, can we please go to the beach? I want to go for a swim in the ocean because it's so cold here. It must be like, I have no idea. I was at the beach yesterday. I've got two young kids and we were at the beach. And that's a drive signage. We can just get out of the beach and hang out. And there was a really big guy really but his very tiny slim girlfriend. And he was like, yeah, I'm going to go into the water going to water and she was like, yeah, I'll go to you and stuff. And they went into the water. And he put one tour in the water. I'm not going there. Just complete rural reverse. She was happily going in there, the guy obviously had no pain threshold. So yeah, so from the 8th century, people were coming here to be near the bones of the apostle. Wow. And it was so big that Sanders had three cathedrals, and not the one massive cathedral of Scotland, and then to monasteries. And all the revenues from all the churches in Scotland. Came to senators, so it became a very wealthy place. 30% of people employed

"I think, is your best score. Because you're part of. My God. Oh my gosh. Thank you very much. That is good shooting. We played at press a few days ago. And drove by the, you know, we got the whole tour about the inside and a lot of the history. We drove by the red Lion. Which is where it sounds like the open championship essentially was conceived. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that correct? I don't know if it was in the red line, but it was Earl of agnon and ogilvy Farley, James oak will be partly. And so what he was David from the club was telling us was that basically after Alan Robertson passed away in 1859, I believe. Yeah, perfect. That then 8 different governors still got together because they had all agreed that he was essentially the best golfer in the world. And they got together and were like, we have to figure out who's the new best golfer and that's where the open championship came from. So absolutely. The key phrase is Alan Robertson and he has actually heard my next book will be on, but Alan Robertson was the champion golfer. And that was a title that, you know, that he guarded, and it is like a boxer he would choose his fights, you know? So he would never play Willie park because he really parks fantastic and he's a young guy, you know, and he's so, but he guards the title, but he still is the best golfer. And he is the champion golfer, but when he dies, it leaves the question who is the new champion golfer, and that's why press wick created the event. And the professionals had a reputation for being if they want some money that spend it all in the bar within an R sort of thing. So the letter went out calling for their most respectable caddies. You know, and so it players turned up for that first open. Yeah, so yeah, press wick is special. I love it. It was magical for us to be there and to understand all that history. So then how did it go from press wick and them kind of setting up this event to determine who's going to be the new champion golfer to the rota and saint Andrews getting involved? So it was with press wick for first 12 years. Okay. And then eventually the honorable company in Edinburgh who were based in Muslim at the time. Saint Andrews came in and basically it all happened because Tommy Morris had won the champions belt. It was like a box of belt again, but he won the open three times in a row as a teenager. I'm going to keep the belt. So they didn't have an event. And 72, I think. No, sorry, they did have an event and said, it was 71 they didn't have an event. And then Tommy wanted a fourth time. So what they did was that they came together those clubs and commissioned the Clark jug. So the reason why we play for the card job is because of Tommy Morris. And then he wanted the first time. But it wasn't ready for the open championship. So the first time it was presented was in 73 here in saint Andrews. But the first pneumonia, if you get to look at it, is Tommy Morris. Wow. Look at that. And now here we are. There's a face on that jug. Do you know on the top handle, kind of if you were to carry it right by where your thumb might be? Yeah. Do you know what that image is or that face is? I'd have to look at it to be sure, but it might be as a Bacchus, the God of wine or something like that. But I need to need to check. That makes sense. Look for your God. Across the head. A little bit. Absolutely. We did a show before the masters a couple of years ago of people giving us their craziest stories at Augusta national. And we had a couple where people would sneak onto the golf course and fall asleep on 12 and look up at the stars or whatever it was. Is there anything that you have come across that is like the craziest thing that had happened on this property? Like maybe someone did something and ruined the golf course or has there ever been any moment that stands out that was like a shenanigans? Yeah. Yeah, there's lots from Tom Morris. The story is there's a bunker that we should be a bunker called Tom's Kai. Because Tom Morris was fine to sleep in the bunker with a car. So that's one. And then I think Gary Player also said that he slept on the beach in his first opens as well, you know, because you couldn't afford the digs, you know, so there's lots of little stories like that. Wow. What do the cows? People just sleeping all over the place. When I look too far, and. Do you know about the burial pit under the 18th grain? So the green was a little green and was pretty much in the position after they moved to across. It was in the same position as the green is today. But Tom wanted a massive green, a big expanse of sort of plateau green. And so the workman started digging up the grind to sort of try to level it off. But they started finding bones. And then they found more bones and more bones and the realized this is a color a bit. And I have to remember that a 120 years previously, there were throwing witches off the cliff on the scores to test if there were witches and maybe we can come back to that. But so they're superstitious bunch. And I think, oh, this is cursed. But Tom said to them, you know, you have to finish this job or else, you know, you won't get paid. So the picked up the tools and finished a job and it's a beautiful green and it's a fantastic optical illusion because if you walk towards a green that looks fairly flat, but you stand on the steps of the RNA by the RNA, you can see the massive swale. And the pit is still there today. When the green if you were playing the whole, the back right hand corner where it rises, that's where the color of it is. Wow, wow. Let's go back to these

"We're gonna quickly recap mike's wide. Receiver cornerback matches before we get into our thursday night football. Let's begin here. Mike with alan robertson. Who he called him. An upgrade facing off against cincinnati. Darn moonie where he go upgrade. Keep them coming abbots higgins other side of the game upgrade upgrade upgrade all them bengals so bengals and bears every wide receiver in that game isn't upgraded abad. Sounds like mike. You're like the guy who like the first kid comes to your to your house for halloween. Like your wife. Specifically bought like a certain amount of candy you got a ration amount verse. Kit comes in. You're like here's four snicker spar you're doing enough. You get an upgrade. You get an upgrade by extra. So i can do that. Wow this is my first year being a homeowner. I get to have people come by for for halloween to give them lots of candy. Apples and bananas. Okay i'm telling you. Fool is the only way to go as a kid that always i was crack which which neighbors ran out the real. If you wanna be a favor yeah. It's a good way to get started. I don't want any nil away. Favors not a favorite of the parents. Though art and mike you got to be upgraded. He's on core now downgraded gate and sanders downgrade. Right jarvis landry downgrade their. You have kept their five upgrade. Three downgrades for you keep in mind. This context every single sunday. We always recap it as well on fantasy football now on sunday morning to have mike there. It's always great to have. Mike join us for that portion of the show and now we turn to our thursday night football game preview and preview washing football teams three point favorite. I love this the over under his forty point five points. I love this stat. I saw this morning. I thought was interesting. Apparently the internet does as well put it on twitter. Daniel jones is four no in his career. Now actually let me take that back because some people really don't believe that windsor quarterback stat let me rephrase. The giants are four no against the washington football team when daniel jones and their starter. The giants are in five in prime time when daniel jones is their starter. Something's gotta give tonight right. One of those streaks is coming to an end. Although i did love how thousand people commented them replied like. It's definitely gonna be a tyson. I would you could be. It could be for two point. Five points is the over. But let's get into the washington side and stefania as somebody who rosters until you gibson and the war room league. I was a little bit concerned. When i saw him on the injury report on monday even during a short week. What can you tell us about his game status. He is off the injury report for the game. And even though monday was listed as limited practice tuesday and wednesday where listed as full but again in the short weeks these guys often don't practice in washington. Did not practice for real on monday or wednesday. So those were estimation so probably the notion is that they would have given him less reps to allow him some recovery time. But i don't think any worries by the way it's his shoulder. Nothing about his toe. And that was the big deal injury coming into the season. So i actually took a that. That caught my attention more that the tow is not even listed any longer. Okay so no more tokens Children concern is really no concern whatsoever. Mike he was a player that you were so optimistic about coming into the season point totals not great in week one but there were encouraging signs. No question about it. The usage wedge was exactly what we were hoping for one hundred percent. He played thirty. Think about this. He was a finnish wide receiver thirteen. He missed some time last year. Finish like me. Running back would've been good if he was maclaurin. Already jumping jumping the gun. Look he missed. He missed a few games. We saw a lot of jd mckissick and even paint and barbara. Last season. he only played thirty percent of the snaps. It was a top fifty fantasy running back. He played sixty seven percent and really good sign. We did not see very much. Eighty mcisaac twenty carries and five targets twenty five percent target sharing in that in very low volume passing in washington but nonetheless. One quarter of the targets went to him and all of that was taylor. Heineke played he started to write that game twelve and expected fantasy points at running back. Better days are certainly head. And they're facing the giants your member. Melvin gordon running for that long touchdown against some last week deal at one hundred and forty six yards and a rushing touchdown last week. Five point eight yards per carry was highest in the nfl the giants it and show us that they're dominant defense out of the gate anyway. So that's a good sign. You don't want to overreact. One week but nonetheless gibson volume talent situation good defense keeping them closer. We can run the ball plenty superpower for gibson as the top ten play all right and how term chlorine though because tear maclaurin always good an incredible catch last week the one that went viral that over the shoulder adjusting. Your the sideline catch that remind you. Just how good terry maclaurin is but we went to the poll and we asked whether our fans were concerned about tara maclaurin without ryan fitzpatrick and the number showed us at fifty five point. One percent of people said they are concerned. I'll be honestly mike. I'm not really concerned. I said this earlier in the week and first of all. He's a great player. We always want to trust the talent. But second of all love ryan fitzpatrick. We all do that. Being said i don't know ryan. Fitzpatrick is leaps and bounds. Better than taylor heineke as pertains like fantasy output right. He's definitely better. But this is not like going from ryan fitzpatrick to where the quarterback play was the beginning of the season last year in washington. Exactly i mean he's already played with a lot of quarterback even projected the start this year. Right i've used at logan thomas stat. I've thrown it around all mentioned to hear it again minute when we talk about him but he has an upgrade quarterback play so earnest gurneys. Been a really good fantasy wide receiver and look at only three targets in week one. The only ran twenty two pass plays i was just talking about. It wasn't much of a a game where they were throwing the ball very much. Averaged eight point seven per game last year. He's had five or more targets in nineteen straight games prior to week one. Well i mean that shows you how much of a fluke that was nineteen consecutive games. And we've seen him with heineke before they played in that playoff game together. Eight targets six catches seventy five yards so it didn't score but still deliver. The goods easily. Could have if. I have a reservation though this week. It is his matchup wide receiver. Cornerback matchup is tough. He was on the perimeter just under seventy percent of the time in week. One is going to see james bradberry and adore jackson. Both of those guys played well in week. One mclaren did have games against the giants. Both games are pretty good but he only saw bradberry some of the time and of course it or jackson wasn't on the other side so it is a tough match up and keep in mind the giant really good against the perimeter in week..

"Tournament was such an event reaching far beyond tennis fans than national borders to teenagers from richly varied ethnic backgrounds. Neither of whom seemed to have the faintest hope of even making it past the first round of the competition played beautiful tennis with determination. Self confidence and yes. Joy the winner. "The four borough is under center takes the snap fakes to mix and looking to throw president Zone Touchdown T. Higgins his second touchdown catch of the afternoon, and the Bengals have a chance to regain the lead. That's Dan Hoard and Dave lap, Um, with the call on Cincinnati, ESPN 15 30, the Bengals radio network. Welcome back to NFL Fantasy forecast on Westwood one along with Sports Illustrated senior fantasy analyst Michael Fabiano. I'm Amber. Theo Harris. All right, Babs. It is time for the wide receivers and I imagine hearing that highlight coming in, you're going to say Start to Higgins. Yes, I am a fan of Higgins as I mentioned earlier in the program. I think this is going to be a high scoring game between the Bengals and the Vikings Last year, Minnesota's defense gave up 24 touchdowns, two wide receivers the sixth most points. I can start Higgins, Tyler Boyd and even Jamaar Chase. If I'm in a deeper league as a flex player, I'm also starting Brandon Aiyuk looks like he's going to be good to go. Against the Detroit Lions last year, Their defense gave up an average of more than 44 fantasy points per game. The wide receivers I don't think there'll be any better this year, Deebo Samuel also in the mix for fantasy managers, and then let's talk about love discussion all against the Houston, Texas. Now he is one of my favorite wide receiver sleepers, a guy that I tried to get late in drafts. Last year, this defense that Houston gave up 22 touchdown catches and the seventh most fantasy points to wide receivers. They could be worse in 2021, so I like low, viscous, you know, as a flex starter or wide receiver three and in that same game, Brandon cooks. Let's put this in the category. Amber of somebody's got to catch the football for the Houston Texans, right, and I think it's going to be Brandon cooks. This could end up being a high scoring affair. He is going to be the number one option for Tyrod Taylor in the passing game. So cooks is on my radar as a flexor, a wide receiver three How about your sits at wide receiver? Odell Beckham Jr. And I know this is not going to be a popular opinion. First off, he's not 100% and second off. This chief's defense is very good. Okay, They allowed an average if you were the 136 receiving yards per game, the wide receivers last year And folks, O. B. J has averaged about 12 points per game during his time in Cleveland, so he's not been more than a wide receiver. Three. I would avoid them if possible. Same thing with Kenny Golladay. He will be ago this week for the G men, but he didn't really have much time during the preseason to gain a report with Daniel Jones. I think this offense starts off somewhat slowly. So, Kenny G is a fade for me. Marquez Callaway. Now this guy has been one of the big names in fantasy football during the preseason camp. Here's the problem. He is the only wide receiver that the Saints really have B. I besides deonte Harris, and that means he's going to draw Jr Alexander I just don't like this matchup. I like Calloway. I like the upside. I don't like the opponent this week. And then finally, I will give you a warning. I understand that you have to play Alan Robertson. I get it. I've got to play Allen Robinson. Here's the problem. All right, Jalen Ramsey. This is not a good matchup for Allen Robinson. So I get it. If you're in a redraft Dynasty keeper you've got to play in this week Understood? In D F, so I would avoid him. I'll tell you who you should not sit. Antonio Brown already did that. And I paid for it This way. He gone Thursday night. Someone did not read my startup instead. Um, card I will. I will continue. I should I take your stardom Cinema on Sports Illustrated much more often. And I will do that. From now on, Let's switch over to the Titans. Who should you start? I like Logan Thomas against the Chargers guy who saw a boatload of targets in the second half last year as one of the top options for the football team, and now Curtis Samuel is going to be missing a few games he's been put on the injured list. That's even more targets for Thomas in the matchup is good against lightning bolts. I also like Dallas, Qatar this week against Atlanta. They gave up 10 touchdowns and the fourth most fantasy points too tight ends last year. No offense. Good to go. I'd get him in my lineup as a low and tight end one. The Giants had a tough time against tight ends last year, especially on their home field. And then Tyler Higbee, who I feel it could end up being a pretty good late run bargain for fantasy managers. No more. Gerald Everett, which means take me will be the number one tight end in a potentially explosive Rams offense. Last year, the Bears defense gave up 12 touchdowns. Two enemy tight ends. All right. Who should we sit at tight end? You mentioned Gerald Everett already. How about Jared Cook? Yes, Jared Cook is someone that I would be avoiding. Now Cook is a guy who I think could be a very, very nice option. When the matchups right the matchups. Not right this week. The football team have one of the top defenses in the National Football League, so I would keep him on the bench. As you mentioned Gerald Everett against the Colts. I would also fade him. Eric Ebron is a fate for me as well. I don't know how many points the Steelers are going to put up against that Buffalo defense and Eric Ebron at this point is probably the fourth best option in the passing game. Behind a slew of wide receivers that the Steelers have and then cold commit while I like him. Long term. I don't like him this week against the Rams. Keep him on the sidelines. Alright, Good stuff. "He's he's played twenty three games with the browns. That's a decent size sample. i twenty three games. He's wide receiver thirty nine on a per game basis. Thirty four so unite. Both well behind where he is being drafted. You know i could. I be proven wrong of course because we know the talent is there. But i'm you know. Burn me once. Shame on you. Burn me twice three times four times. Shame on me. i thought it was. Fool me once but we'll let slide portland tours as well in week two. What can you tell this apple. Yeah you know coralline sutton is really an example of how you want to see a player progress from this type of injury. Acl tear in week to remember. He'd only played a few snaps because he missed the week. One game because of a shoulder injury so he goes down in week two and we saw him making steady progress through training camp. He was still wearing a brace which is going to likely due at least for the foreseeable future but it doesn't appear to be slowing him down in any way if you saw him in that. Preseason game the video clip. I posted where he made a plant and cut very quick. Change of direction has decelerating on that. Those are very particular things that stress that graft replacement in the knee and he showed that he felt comfortable doing that. And i think it helped him gain confidence in his knee. Those are huge factors for returning to football again. He and saquon barkley tore their acl sale sale the same week. I just present that as a comparison of how injuries can be very very different for different players. I think if you're one hundred percent. I will he is or he's getting there but if i knew that he was going to be his normal self. There's probably a pretty compelling case to be ranked higher than twenty-seventh where i have him amongst wide receivers. The only two things. That sort of worked against portland sutton matthew your one. He's got a lot of other pass. Catchers offense in a really good jared. Who's going to be a much improved player in court. In obviously noah fans can be even further improved player. J hamblur is a speed demon. Love him as a lottery. Ticket and patrick was good last year on the feels good. I thought tim. Patrick might generate some action as a restricted free agent this past offseason and the quarterback play. It's okay it's okay. It's like average slightly below average otherwise he could be a top fifteen fourteen like if you put them in chicago with justin fields. And there was no allen robinson i'd be like holy cow right. He would be. It'd be not quite alan robertson. But we talk about him in a very different vein. We would be to me the positive. The argument for portland sutton is threefold k. super talented. I don't think any of us disagree that like religion. The guy can play the guy. Can flat out play number two. Is i think he's quarterback. Proof quarterback proof. Like i honestly like i think he is a good enough talent. That like we've seen in be productive with like paxton lynch. I mean like you know in. Trevor siemian like i mean. Think about some of the some of the guys. The broncos of rolled out there in previous years and then the third thing here is that while. judy may get more volume. Who do you think ends up the year with more touchdowns assuming health for both guys. I'd argue it's portland sudden red zone. Target like yeah. I'm gonna listen. Judy quite a bit as well. This is not an anti jerry. Judy comment i have both guys ranked pretty close to each other. But it just think when you go drafts. Judy has a lot more buzz than portland. And i think sought might be the better value his piece. Actually a little bit ahead of jerry. Judas believed really. Yeah that's mistake well. They're very close. If it's not ahead. So i think planes currently going as wide receiver thirty one. He's going in the ninth round. So you know what that's where it's going. I don't know judy's adp off the top of my head. I thought judy was going a little bit higher than that. I've i've certainly seen judy reyes recently. There's definitely some buzz around him. You don't have the wide receiver. Adp's memorize way knows them. I don't that's okay because matthew if you need help getting ready for your graphs you and i just did a last minute. Get ready for your draft. Fantasy show. We did on. Espn sorry my wife has calling me. Of course he is. of course. i'll text sir. Appreciate you to find your boat texter matthews working but that's correct we just did last minute drafted advice sleepers and busts show on espn plus really great episode yet to daniel and a onesie and by the way one of the ways. "If i had to in week one i would start him as a number three receiver. Jamie dave says about forty two forty three wide receivers. He be comfortable with as a week. One starter how about you as a throws around there you know i. I think i'm fine with mike williams of familiar more and find with arnold mooney on fine with michael pittman now and he's a little bit lower but i think his outlook changes with healthy carson wentz. So yeah it in three receiver league. It's it's there. There's going to be plenty of guys you can rotate through there. If you draft four guys in the top forty depending on the rank you look at so it's it it changes in a we'll We'll get to that in a second. How about you man. I dunno i thirty eight and stop it la- viscous chenault thirty eight But there's guys that i have ranked ahead of him that i don't want to start week. What i'm just hopeful for what they're going to be so i think i'm a little bit less On the white. I in a three receiver league. That's full pr. I think the bar is pretty high for who i want to start and so i don't feel like it's quite as deep. Okay all right so we'll talk more about that in a moment we'll talk about how the strategies change in to receiver leagues three receiver leagues non pr and remember. This is a two part preview. So part one is a little bit more of an overview of the position and we will get to adp. I'm thinking probably the first two and a half rounds maybe up to uptown robinson or so although cd lambs going right after alan robertson cd lamb is wide receiver. Twelve in full pbr. According to rose. And i believe he's thirty. Four th overall. How many rocket ships is that jamie and yeah. We'll we'll talk a little bit about. Adp but tomorrow will be the full adp show so the podcast league. Dave jamie heath. we have to figure out when we want to do the podcast league. I meant to ask you this before the show. You can do that day or the monday before. August thirty first. We're going to stick with that my son's birthday. Oh that's great so you're gonna pull heath away from his son's birthday sit like nine. O'clock at night for your. Yeah so what do you wanna do. You wanna do. You wanna do the himmelfarb. He's strong thirtieth tease. I choose the thirtieth. I get a vote. Is that okay jamie. Yeah i. "Overlooked all right. You've got a big heart. We know you want to put every wide receiver in some college wide on the top ten list. So we're gonna try to graphics issue. It's not it's not a you issue. it's just the graphics issue jumps out to me. Bran is pretty obvious ryan. Hails should feel really happy. I can make an argument that you know we talked about pass. Catchers mahomes should also be happy. Because he's got travis kelsey or travis kells. Perhaps we're not quite sure anti re kill on. We know that tannahill got julio in aj brown there and then also sort of like in the spec specter stiff. Arming people trying to get on the list. Like no dude. It's not a running backs was is derrick henry. How good do you think ryan tannehill perform going to be now that he has so many weapons. I'm so glad you you're highlighting that. This should be the most explosive offense in the national football league. Not in yards not in touchdowns but talking about unstoppable. They should be able to make plays whenever they want to. Why because they have often to line a really good offense line they have a run game the best running back in the game right now the toughest running back in the game right now. What does that mean. It's all about numbers. Okay if you wanna put eight in the box. Guess who julio jones on the backside eight brown of frontside so it's one on one baby now you've got to lean that safety rock and roll. Put that safety over to the why now you got. Julio jones and i could do whatever i want so ryan tannehill just got to look at the numbers and take the events if you wanna put a in a box and stop the run. That's fine we've got three rows we can beat you guys hear me talking about it over and over and over again they slant nonstopping back sold or go ball like that's all you gotta do and if you want to say you know what let me play cover to let me play coverage. Let me double. Now you're talking about the biggest holes with the best running back in a dc a really good offensive line. You can't stop these guys so ryan ten. Hey you have an excellent year. Just managing the system. Either yes it. Can we put that top backup. Because there's a lot of things. I want to discuss here but something while listening to you guys talk. Listen to brandon's top receivers list. And i heard de'andre number one devante adams number two and step on digs three and then i heard you talking about the titans in their weapons and just what i was thinking about man think about how good patrick mahomes would be if he had that type of help that aaron rodgers that josh ryan tannehill because like i mean just think about it like year mahomes finishes third in the. Mvp voting behind rodgers behind josh allen. Those guys and now in the afc. So i don't wanna hear next year. Oh he's got this great system you look around the afc. He doesn't have one of the top two receivers. The titans gonna have. An unstoppable offense. Chief shire's is really it must. He's informed but he's not he's not at five and ten with their againry and he's not two or three with adams. Dick's i'm sorry. Yeah with so. I'm just saying that. Jeeves a really good offense. It must just because patrick mahomes number that first point second point is we were talking about earlier. Guys who somehow aren't in the top ten and we set out them deal. And we said odell wild mentioned alan robertson brandon. Engine justin jefferson. Now we're at fourteen guys which does speak to the devil of the receiver position but then it occurred to me wait. There's somebody we're forgetting. That somehow was not in the top ten and didn't even occur to us as a snub. And that's amari cooper and the reason i bring that up is when we did the running backs list we add. Zeke was seven. And we're like yeah definitely not higher than seven. And then we're doing a wide receivers list and amari is like not even in the honorable mention category. So the question. I want to ask briefs bidders are we are we overvaluing cowboys weapons because we know the defense like hopes to just be average but the reason they are projected to be the best team in the division should be overpowered. But it looks like they've got around league average for a number one receiver. They've got a good but no longer great running back like the offensive line isn't what it once was due to know so like so. So are we overvaluing the cowboys offense. That's my question you brandon absolutely not. I'm not. I'm saw zeke. Focus getting in shape. Don't be like james harden don't know what's happening in texas was going on in texas houston dallas with these big bellies. Zeke had a big belly last year. Aren't going through his situation. He had a big belly. Lose the big bali zeke. There's no reason why we don't need. Fifteen hundred yards from zeke. You don't need that all you need to do is get me four yards a carry zeke. I don't need any loss yardage. Don't do that to us. Don't put us behind the stakes. If you do that then we will pick up where we left off last year and leave turnovers because last year before that went down they were averaging four hundred ninety seven yards and offense per game they the most explosive offense there with the banged up off into line. So now you have. I'm so glad you brought him up. Amari cooper we you talk about sweet rouse and playmaking ability. That dude is next level now. Once that went down there was towns. I whereas like man i can see mostly trying to stay trump fighting to stay in it. It was hard for him but he's still a dog. Don't get it twisted. And then you have a cd. Lamb cd lamb this. Do they have them in a slot right now with all obviously can play outside. This dude is different. He had a huge impact on offense last year. At as a rookie. And then gallup they have three number one wide receivers that can get it done and that prescott is entering into his prime. So i'm not trying to get on while not getting on the dallas cowboys hype train on not doing right. We talked about him every single year. What if that defense is decent. And dak. Prescott comes in and delivers could be your moment to actually have a take about the dallas house to me though but it does. It sounds to me at deck to the list of quarterbacks with way more weapons than mahomes. I don't see how patrick gets done. I mean three number one receivers. I don't do against getting your door. Nba finals game tomorrow. Night the series all tied to wind. And you start. Who wins game. Five bucks or son is take your pick. We've got about a minute left. Let's do this friday in. its own. bob. I'm going with the sons babies. Don't ask me who you call with your own. Let's go okay. it is. Friday is over the series nut over. I've got the sons by eleven. Yon still has a big game. But i don't think pat college has a big game. I think middleton also comes down to earth so sons by eleven. Let's go listen. I can't really brain still living in that song when doug sons have not debuted that terrible song. But i've got good news for suns fans i before the series picked every single one of these games. I'm four sons win. Five bucks when the two bucks lie still alive..

"Sticky hands back here. First things first time for stores to start your morning sponsored by ramtruck built to serve our brandon. Marshall this is how we close out friday. why receivers we're talking about the best wider savers in the game. Today that after executives until scouts players they name the top ten pass catchers in the game right now star studded list starts with check this out. Davante adams andrea hopkins. Then you've got stefan digs. Kill coolio your top five. Bottom five as keenan allen. Mike evans michael thomas de que. Metcalf and aj brown lotta guys made the list of did not so brandon our our number one receiver. Your biggest choice from this woman. Come on friday. we're supposed to be feeling. It's friday was supposed to be chilly. You know don't like lists and you know i don't like doing this with the wide receivers because we're sensitive. Why would you do this to me on a friday today. Because you're going to force me then. Lend your rearrange that a little bit. Here's the deal. Nick when you look at why receivers right. It's like almost impossible. There's ten guys here. But where's just in jefferson. Where's adam deland where you at other guys to this list. It's hard. I feel like they got an almost right for me. I'm a focus on one. Two and three. And i'm gonna i'm gonna go. I'm going to look at the guys that should be beating one on one jalen ramsey. Probably the best defense a back in the national football league so all of these guys on the list. I wanna see what you do against him. Fifty rips fifty plays in a game. What are you going to do. The number one god. It's always underrated as always overlooked. Is the andre hopkins. The audrey hopkins has been playing at high level since day. One with any quarterback you guys know him with the shawn watson but think about who he had before he's been getting it done and even now still getting it done in his first year in this dude that you could put backside. Hell jalen ramsey said. He's the toughest that he has to go against. Because of its catch radius and how strong his hands is. But sometimes it's like. Oh he's not the fastest. He's not the quickest. So we're not gonna put them in that conversation. But i'm you right now. You can line them up on the backside of the fill in when he's covered he's not covered and then a number two guy. We gotta put adams up there. Adams is a guy that complain. Slot play to the whiteside. You can play to the to the short side you most of them you can do so many things route running ability feet. Oh my goodness he has the sweet science down to a t. He is a playmaker. He's a guy that could go for two thousand yards. Aaron rodgers that do deserves the be right up there. And then steph on big steph on digs. Oh my goodness stop and start. It's just ridiculous. I don't see anybody getting out of his breaks way he do. He can run any route. Any tweaks it. Nobody runs rows like steph on digs. He's considered a little do but he plays bigger than anybody in the nfl. This dude is tough. I love savviness. I love this nasty. He is a winner. While so look. I hate these lists. Because you're gonna throw so many people up there but you gotta start with the laundry hopkins. Who's always underrated and overlooked all right. You've got a big heart. We know you wanna put every wide receiver and some college wide receivers on the top ten list. So we're going to try to keep this just to graphics issue. It's not it's not a you issue. It's just a graphics as you jumps out to. Me brand is pretty obvious ryan. Danielle should feel really happy. I could make an argument that you know if we talked about Pass catchers mahomes should also be happy. Because he's got travis kelsey or travis kells. Perhaps we're not quite sure anti re kill on there. We know that tannahill got julio in. Aj brown there and then also sort of like in this spectre stiff. "Receiving and might i add not knowing who the hell this quarterback was going to be majority of attacking. This dude has produced. He's played whale under pressure wild defeating a contract. Matinee ain't know what the hell he was doing offensively from Miss bisky was the quarterback. You look at alan robertson. His quarterback situation. And you think to yourself you know what this guy's been printed down productive with all of the open door policy. We've had at quarterback will remind you of another guy right by the name of deondraye hopkins who the houston texans stupidly. Let go to arizona cardinals. And now we find well we all knew as opposed to the houston texas that he was dominate from the wide receiver. Position wherever you win. Allie robinson's should be the priority in chicago. That's the bottom land. And i know my mail. Mike will feel. But i'm gonna let jeff saturday reiterate what the hell i just say. One hundred percent right swagger. Listen thinking about it this way man you. You're telling him he's not a one. Because you and i both know if this is your. You've already gotten this deal done. You're you're talking about nagy about ryan pace who may not even be the general manager and head coach next year. they'll just kicking the can down the rope. Meanwhile you draft move up to get a guy. You don't see the year that they're going to spend together this year and if you have a long-term already place in a rookie contract for your quarterback that doesn't benefit your football team long-term now you've got a guy on illicit donald you. The highest paid wide receiver in the game. You're talking about guy you're getting for a steel who's through and showed up year after years ten. He's going to build a rapport and relationship with your upcoming quarterback. Why this is just this is just dumb on a whole other level. Why statin gotten done while they continue to push this thing out. It just does not make sense to me. The guy needs a deal. He's earned a deal. Make it happen and against solidify. Your would this laggers point. You can't win in the nfl without your one. So obviously they just don't think he's a one joe jeff johnny's looking at somebody doing today face. You go ahead swag you face way. I'm meeting my me. You jeff saturday. Jeff darlington we need to all go apply to be general managers. Run the day. I'm organization surrounding because that's exactly what the hell late doing this. I don't think anybody's gentlemen do own or rent your home. Sure you and. I bet it can be hard work you know. It's easy bundling policies with geico. Geico makes it easy to bundle your homeowner's or renter's insurance along with your auto policy. It's a good thing too because you already have so much to do around your home. Go to geico dot com quote and see how much you could save. Its gyco easy visit. Geico dot com today. That's geico dot com after survey more than fifty league personnel to health rank. The top player at eleven different positions. Here's what the espn we've survey says about the top. Five offensive tackles and interior put nelson. Zack martin britain scherf the interior writings blogs trent williams box. Yari and memory tunsil top two tackles the line dancing of this jeff. Let's to listeners of the nfl. Gotta go big you with nelson listed. He's a told everybody goes down over. This dude is a faller. Listen been linked three years all pro pro bowl the most dominant offensive linemen in the game right now in my favorite part of what you just saw. He plays with a level of nastiness. It is rare for our game. He wants to finish students. Put them on their back. Trash on the way back in the huddle and he don't want nobody on his team helping nobody else up. Leave him on the ground that there would attitude how you know. He is a grown man and the best in the business right now much. Respect the big issue. Well marcus one down for me. He'll be the first ever twenty million dollars per year guard when it's extension which i'm sure you get done is eventually science swaggie. Let's flip things around me your five best defensive in the league right now five to one. Let's go baby already. Talking about number number five chris jones and listen i love how dominant years from the and believe it or not. These guys are becoming more and more valuable with the amount of time quarterback the ball out of their hands. Chris is dominating the run game. He has a great ball rushmo. He has the wiggle. Uc running game. He understands how to play the position. He plays it with physicality with me. When need these crystals number five number four khalil mack. Yeah i told. The guardian numbers stood up this past year. But believe it or not khalil. Mack is neil dominant piece winning at a high level with the way he plays the run like three hundred fifty pounds and looking the size of the oil zone. This dude he can lock them up. Knock them back. Get after the quarterback. One of my favorite favorite favorite players in the nfl is khalil. Mack is let me get to an amano not multiplicity plays the linebacker position as well as worse the passer as well as anybody over the last year when nine sec. He's getting their clip. Is putting cam. Heyward is very good but to know why we don't talk about it because they say what is the outside not drake jay. Jay j. j. is the ball player right now. Let me get the number to the big free catholic myles garrett. I wish i had an inch of athletic. That the big hand because doing all he can. You can use his hips. The most impressive thing is saturday. You go this myles. Garrett is six six but can ben against low like a snake it not lose lamma talk about is a beast coming off the air a y'all know wail one he is he never loses. He always makes impact. Play an mama when you gotta block. It ain't going to be a good week. I know quinn his good more good but don't nobody wanna see ninety nine point nine nine eight like to usually guys throw window down to his. Put anybody else on the defense black as linda. Floyd jeff saturday. Air down a guy and pay fifty million dollars. That's my top five list. If you don't like it you know what i say has make your damn. Oh well swag who. I'm gonna make sure somehow you'll responsible for reading every list on. Espn television going forward. That was electric. You're the general manager of a team for a second and just think about this proposition. You can invest in a great offensive line or a great defensive line. What's more important in building winning roster yet an enclosed offensive line. Listen when you think about the requirements of what the offensive line has to. Have you got to protect the most important asset on your football team. That's the quarterback you have to be able to establish the run game. The communication between all five of those guys has to be impeccable. All the different traits you're looking for from from a team that's gonna win in the nfl. The offensive line. That's where you start and listen if you look at the way dak prescott career started. Don't don't miss the that offensive line contributed a great amount to helping him get there. So i think you always gotta start with the not dismissing the defensive lines important but.

"We'll d'isly caught a touchdown i it. They are so bad against tight ends. They get the rams next week. So yeah i guess and i don't even know who they play but believe it or not. Just don't start any jets ever play the rams some starting against the rams. That's for sure. So can we just draw perryman. And frank gore and tigon jamison crowder. And how many of those guys did you really pick up. Though i started for shod perryman and jamison crowder in liege in the same league in the same league jets and mitchell trubisky. I'm gonna win. Hey hey that's awesome. Should stay with darnold Trubisky alan robertson better. Yeah crowder's eighty seven percent with donald. Yeah crowder light money on fire for you. Russell wilson came through four touchdowns on twenty seven. Okay the backfield split with carson. Actually getting fewer carries than carlos hyde. Hold the phone on that though. Hide had five carries in the fourth quarter and eleven carries in the second half. And i don't believe cursing even played in the fourth quarter. I wasn't picking up the phone i was. I was paging you for you to pick up the phone and tell everybody got on that one. I wouldn't be worried about high taking over work from carson well the excited about carson having the touchdown in seventy six yards and starting to round into form here down the stretch. It's not good. If it's a twelve ten splits it. That's a really in bowling. I don't know how many of carlos height six third quarter carey's came in what was basically garbage time already. Let's put dragging the on the case. Shaggy be try to shed some light on the seahawks running backs. I mean i actually looked at the game log. And i think they were both fairly involved during the same portion of the game with carson ahead of him but not like super ahead of him. But it's just so much better see so good Right we'll we'll put draghi beyond. I've got the halftime numbers. Right here. carson had twice as many carries his high in the first half eight to four. That's not like super. I mean if stayed sixty six percent sure but only four more carries. It's not. I.

You hear the breathing, Get the more things number yet. City that steam killing out. I'll be Yeah. And the more labored breathing. Uh, Here's what one more from last night's broadcast. I understand covert 19, etcetera. Whatever have you, but teams are coping with it and working with it and winning with it. We can't Even convert a third down. We can't go 10 yards and it's a fact folks. Just look at the stance from Game the game. The game. Our offense is almost dead last in every category again. Hampton of Renovation Kozlowski, one of the on again Tuesday night. That will be next next week by week by week. I don't think we have a shot. I'll check that real quick, but they're normally Tuesday nights, 7 to 10. London here. Those guys, man, they are at their wits end. Brad of which would have been a good I think maybe high school coach, don't you? Thank you. Scared the kids a little bit, but he's uh, he's still thinks and sounds like a young guy. I I think he would have been a good high school coach. I don't know if Ed ever coached. I do think that Today where you have to manage the parents when you're high school. Never mind. I'd like to see that that meeting when the dad shows up to talk to the coach about how he's using it. Tell him what to do. Oh, man. Hey, I saw that Josh McCown, uh, signed with the Houston Texans, and I didn't realize this, but he originally he's from Texas. And he lets see he when they were an expansion team in 2000 to Houston. Um Josh McCown had just wrapped up his college career at Sam Houston State, and he wanted to play for that new franchise. But he was drafted by Arizona, and McCown now has played for nine teams over 19 seasons. And so now he's the third quarter back on that team. I actually haven't with a few more teams than that. Is that right? Yes. Including the Bears. He was here for a few years, but he's 19 seasons. Yeah, I mean, he's lasted and Sometimes. "And you know what I was going to say it is. You know, it was in Montana right now, and I was in Bozeman, Montana last night with the guy that Ted's Montana Grill, and this is the guy that runs the restaurant and he's you know, the only thing wrong with him at it sees the Buckeye fan. But, you know, I'm watching the game with these guys and their I mean, they're asking me questions, and I didn't have answers. Right? And I was just one of the guy sitting there watching the game with us. But, you know, we really did go into great detail of who I was or anything else. It was just a bunch of guys hanging out watching football. And honestly, the observations that these guys made were spot on and exactly what we're saying tonight they're going What's wrong with this guy? What's wrong with this team? You got talent. What do they do it and it's it's hard to watch. It's just like they're no money. How about this kid to receptions? The average for his two recessions were 1.5 yards. 1.5 yards in two catches, a total of three yards, what Kolka met our new title and a second round draft choice. Who I think could be a difference. Maker Mony a difference maker, one catch for seven. Alan Robertson, six catches for 43 yards. Those are the questions he should have addressed, along with all the other things that I said about the 50 place about converting on third down instead of what all his philosophy, which means nothing. It means nothing to these players. You start addressing these issues, and those are the issues that are hurting this team. Maggie, you can't convert on third down. You don't score points. We don't run enough place and you're giving up too much energy on defense. Address those in your press conference. Address him. Mm. And really the problem for defense more than anything else is. I'm not making excuse for the defense, but the truth is when you're out there all the time. It's you know, it's it is a struggle. Toe know when your offense runs out there, that your O. C and your head coach couldn't call a play to save their life. So you know, better get ready again. And it wears you out. Just told you And you guys would understand better. Dan and Ed on that side of it. I know you guys, you know, Look, you used to always reported dead the fourth quarter. Just don't screw it up guys to the offense with what? Everybody is rooted. Other filled meaning that, you know. Hey, look, we got you. Just take care of the ball and don't turn. It all hurts your run the ball, you know, actually run the football. You know, we told our offense. When we were coming off on your offensive was coming out. Give a point. You know, we told him Hold him. Just hold him. That's what we told her. Yeah. No, it was, you know, give us a couple plays the rest on you. After a while, we will come back and get your six. Well, gods the good Lord has given us a week off for just oh, rest of readiness after watching that mess last night. Uh, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving and no midgets have called off Thanksgiving out there, right? No, no, no, no, We're gonna We're gonna have Thanksgiving. I'm gonna have my son and my grandkids with us, and we're gonna have a wonderful time. So when your family say keep pushing forward, I'm sorry that you guys don't get that same opportunity, but you know if it He's queer life, right? That's how we do it either. Quit Keep your family safe. Glenn, you gotta fight either. Quit for you. Three Thanksgiving either. Quit got you guys see in two weeks. You got it guys and have a great Thanksgiving and hate God bless you all. I miss you guys and good to talk with you. Thank you. When Kozlowski with us here in the nine o'clock hour each and every week Brian is in the poor will get to him coming on back. You're Brian. We appreciate your patience happen will be one more. "What once or twice the other day at times. I'm just telling you folks something I'm very excited about him. You know what he is? Barnburner. He's a burner and you know what he's an inexpensive burner much like Johnny Knox and you need guys like that to take the top off the different meaning. Keep the safety's way the hell off the line of scrimmage. So now the running in will be better. The Titans will be better everything. The quick slants all that stuff. Mooney is going to pay dividends and Anthony Miller, you know, he had a bad year last year. He had a bad attitude he didn't contribute away should have. But I'm telling you, he made a number of great catches in Detroit. That tells me I think he's got his mind made up special. This ceremony. That kid started for four years at Tulane. Four years, four straight years he was a starter. And he this guy's one of fast. This guy's in league right now. What is he like a 435432 or something like that in the 40. My God, Get that kid. Get him deep. Open this thing up bears. Open it up and then come underneath with the rest of our receivers, But use that kid use of deep on all the different patterns for three eights is 40 time. And but she is 1/5 round pick, which is where pace is good. I see guys like that only enhance Alan Robertson. Okay, so you need to shut up. Go out there and catch 80 balls and no money comes to give it the way it works a rub. Well, it's not use Hit him in in a 12 yard hook pattern or six yard hook pattern. Get moony flying down the field. Hey, Rob also got a lot of props for bringing the bears together in the offseason, leading workouts and whatnot. He's very well liked by his teammates. At some point, I think this will get done The Bears like okay, So why are you popping off after the first game? You see what I'm saying? Just either you got just got totally took it. A little too personal is what it seems like checkbook Envy. Is that what it is to go there? All right, But see, we all have it. Yeah, well, there it is The problem. I know what it's all about here, heard the shots telling you it's all about him. And he has billions will be Dad Watson from the Houston Texas, their quarterback, they extended his contract. 160 FT Doctor extension for five years. And Mahomes got half a billion. Alright news. I'm I'm curious to why he decided to do the interview with Radio but Either way that's about the only person that we've had on that really doesn't have a connection with an animal in one way or another. I've run into people that don't don't like animals really where I can't say but I have friends. I know some friends that do not care for animals and I was chitchatting with them and they said you know no no. Please don't try to convince me how great dogs are and I was like. Oh okay I wasn't going to. I was actually going to different story. But yes I've I've run into it and some people. I don't think I've had the opportunity to have positive interaction with an animal that really impacted their life. Sure and that that's important. I think the almost fear it. Then you know. It's kind of like people pushing animals on me. I don't want it I don't want it you know. It's kind of like eating spinach. Some people just don't want it. It's hard for me to admit it and say but my daughter is one of those people. She's not she's not. She's not anti no but she just. She's like no she now. She likes the humankind luggage lake. "I. Music came from a guy named Norman greet Norman Greenbaum legend very one hit wonder. All right. Mike. One of our listeners named George Sand's Georgia tweet tweet tweet with him all the time. All right. Has dug up. The game where you made your one three points in your NBA career. Now what year do you think it happened? Guess the date nineteen eighty five I would say February thirteenth K you're off by more than a year. It was December twenty ninth nineteen eighty six oh plow gonna do who you were playing four to December in nineteen Eighty-six, the Spurs, you're playing for the Spurs. You're right. It was a game in Utah new it. Do you remember if you wanna lost the game, we lost sight? Record. God one. Oh, nine to one. Oh, one drop your record. Two seven and twenty two. Now eleven guys played in that game for your team including you, you did not start. You came out the bail. How many guys can you name on that scene in koneohe team? All right. Johnny moore. Alan robertson. Johnny Moore's wrong. He did not play joining. Okay. Well, I knew us on the team. So Roberson did plow. Robertson me artists. Gil more, Mike Mitchell. David Greenwood two guys that you started. You've named three of the starting right, Gail know Mike, gale strike to Michael. You've named three of the starters, the other two starters went on to become somewhat successful coaches. One was a former NBA head coach. I think he's an assistant now and the other one is longtime college coach who's coaching right now did well in the tournament. Johnny, Johnny doc, used to call him chicken hawk, the chicken hawk and fog on a little chicken chicken hawk. All right. One imagine why the other one he matter of fact this game was in Utah, he would later go on. He doesn't anymore, but he would later go on to coach the jazz head coq au, Bobby Weiss. No no all of head coach. Oh, Ticor corden type. Mentioned Mike Mitchell passed away years ago nother another guy played one only played one minute was in all American. With Chris Mullin at Saint John's wait. A minute was Ed Neely team to new Larry christova Christo, actually. The only two you're missing one thing. John's with with one minute was probably a rookie on this team. Oh, Walter berry, Walter berry. And then there was a guy. I've never heard of this guy. Anthony Jones, Anthony. But I got about him and Johnson's. Grew. Why you were talking to me. John Wheeler with no NBA team in Saint Louis who do we watch? We watch Mizzou. I Johnson volt was on the eighties Mizzou teams that I paid ten. Yeah. He's a good shooter that Utah team shooter. John Stockton off the bench. He wasn't starting threat. He was behind Rickey green. Right. Right. It was raking Rini Kelly Puka with Carl Malone, Bobby Hansen and you remember the center you probably had to guard him. This is the biggest human being eaten. Yeah. Now how Lewis my numbers game? You scored fifteen points coming off the bench. What am I shooting numbers seven fourteen? Okay. That's acceptable. And you in that particular game you attempted one three and you made it you also ahead, four rebounds, a turnover a block in two thousand fifteen point. You're the second leading score in that game behind Johnny dockings who had nineteen was thud everybody can score on a lousy team. Gesture has pretty. Good back, then alone, seven twenty two coach insane into it was he is innocent with Denver. Yeah, I saw mind the bench and was Frank Layden coaching the gen frankly good that you were nineteen in nine they were good..

"And we just talked about Alan Robertson being the best player on the field in the prior game. Melvin Ingram was the best football player. We saw all day today in my opinion. He in a game where the chargers the narrative coming in was helped physically dominated they were. And how would they respond not only from that angle? But strategically and it came out after the game, and we saw this right away that they were using six and seven defensive backs up at the line all over the place to handle Baltimore's tangle of runners with Lamar Jackson the rest of them. They out of fifty nine snaps you seven defensive backs on fifty eight. And it was a by Gus Bradley who was jettison does Jacksonville's coach he's back in Los Angeles as defensive coordinator an excellent game plan that really up until the very end the floor never fell out on any level. They put such a clamp on the Mark Jackson. And they basically also asked Lamar Jackson to play a mistake free game, which he is not able to do there. The I eight snaps there were three fumbles by the ravens. Lamar Jackson was lucky not to lose two of them right away. And then Kenneth Dixon lost on the second possession. A game changing fumble that set up a field goal. The chargers had to deal with essentially settle for field goals over and over because of Baltimore's defense. But then Baltimore's defense. It's too much to ask them to do this all game long to and finally gave up points, and they built a twenty three to three lead. And then the ravens hung on came back a little bit. But this to me was the one of the more incredible coaching efforts by the chargers defensive staff that we've seen all year. Oh, it's counterintuitive right? You facing the greatest running team that we've seen in years. Let's get way lighter. Let's put seven defensive backs on the field. It doesn't sort of make sense. But they know their players they know that the ravens running attack is at its best go into the outside. They have ballers. I mean there when James was every. Where Adrian Phillips had a monster game at safety, and that kind of strategy counts on Ingram and Bosa in the guys up front to create pressure on their own and Ingram got it done. And how about channel new oh Soo kind of the forgotten draft pick on that team ends up making the game sealing play the second round pick that they had behind her wouldn't James it's it's the forgotten unit in this game was the chargers defense coming in. And they're the ones that the ravens in the first half had sixty nine yards. Just eleven through the air two turnovers zero points, not a single play in enemy territory and had twelve minutes of possession. That is anti ravens from what we've seen the last six weeks you Greg had it, right? You said in the lead up to this game that it could benefit the chargers to have played Baltimore. So recently, they got beat handily three weeks ago. I was skeptical of that because I thought it would carry more weight. But what what ended up working out was is what we're hearing about the game plan. They studied that tape, and they said Lamar checks, and we know how to make this guy miserable in that could flip the entire game on its ear. And that's what they pulled off their defense had the best game of the season for them. And the elven Ingram had his best game of the season. Derwin James has been good all your Adrian Phillips has been good all year that play that they're win Jane's made in the open field on the Mark Jackson to force the fourth down. And then instead of going for the fourth down the ravens attempted the field goal NPR field goal, by the way to me that was right up there. Like one of the two most important plays of the game right there. And I think the difference. Was field position. Philip rivers didn't do any more than Lamar Jackson did. But he didn't give the ball to his defense and say here defend only fifteen yards. We'll Jackson's got a fumbling problem. He led the league in fumbles despite starting only seven games, and you fumbled a few times in a lot of times. It's been unforced errors on these passing problem. Right. Well, the the accuracy to the outside certainly isn't there?.
