"You know respect that should be given from other teams with cincinnati. Tweeting out the picture of who's been zodda once again wiping his clean terrible towel. Mo- steeler fans and steeler alumni. It should be pointed out brett kiesel and Alan fanta ramon foster. brian mcfadden. The list goes on and on. They all tweet it out saying you guys are crazy to tempt fate like this. But i'm guessing you're not the biggest fan of that. I just think it would be dumb no matter what so called iconic whether terrible tyler whatever whatever symbol of any team disparaging should be seen as nothing but good fun trying to create a rivalry where none exists. If the steelers players need that to get fired up to beat a team with two wins. That's kinda sad and all the steelers. I get it good. Pr but it's a bar especially considering who invented it. Far rack i it. It's nice little symbol in something wave enthusiastically but if that's your rallying cries and what are your plans for your playing for tyler. You plan to be nine. No i'd rather play. It'd be nine to know that that would provide me more personal focus and Let's face it all the blithering about you know the towel this the towel that lets events tile. That's just bs that's pr that's nothing more than showing out mark madden putting a rosy glow on all the sports stories of the day each afternoon from three to six rally around. How do i. I rallied around it really. Yes well i do. Not by the way on the use it for us. I would like to thank all the veterans out. There they save dogs they save the work they do is just terance seem dogs. "What do you make of his size? Yeah. He's a small guy. I mean, you like you mentioned you watch film. He looks smaller than five ten. He he plays. Like he looks like he's like five eight he does some height. You've never seen before making. All these throws down the field and allusive within a pocket. But yeah, if I see a guy like that you want to in the National Football League. You wanna make a statement when you hit him? You wanna make sure he realized what it takes? If you're going to run you're gonna feel this pain afterwards. So. Will he run as much whoever decides to draft his guy, hopefully, not because guy his size, in my opinion, doesn't last you know, if you have a guy like Andrew luck who's a bigger guy who stands in the pocket, and he's taking his beaten his over the years. You know, it kind of you have to acquit Desai's as a fact of him exposing himself and getting hurt by the way, I asked this to anybody that plays. To quell Jackson. If you're listening on radio who was the best player. So you would deal with some interior linemen who was the best player in the NFL that you faced competition combat blocking one on one hand arm size, mobility, ho man, the one name that comes to mind is Alan Fenwick. Thank you. So I have my welcome to the NFL moment against Allen fantasy. It was. Oh my gosh. Again is Pittsburgh. I get my number called. I get a chance to bliss rookie up, you know, thinking. Okay. This is my opportunity, and I didn't realize how smart office alignment actually are. And so I met Alan Fanta. It was I was blitzing up the gap. He was chipping on another guy. He was eyeballing me. I I run through. They can I have a free lane to hit. You know, been Big Ben next thing. You know, I'm in the air the trainers around me. What the hell just happened? It was Allen fan because every time I played Allen fan IKA. It was just like that moment. I had to I had to play my best game. Because I knew he was going to bring it. So he knocked you out. Yeah. Not real. He knocked me out, which was rare. But he was he was just he was a man child. It was hard to. He was hard to play against. That's great. I cannot believe I was sitting there waiting and I'm thinking, okay. Steelers are going to be a fan. Fan. He was my guy. So if Allen fan watches thank you because he made me a tougher player. I guarantee you that to quell Jackson eleven years of Pro Bowl. Hey, great meeting you use well, most serial killers don't make any effort to involve media or best Gators. They're very secretive. They don't want to tension. They almost want their crimes to go on notice. But the idea of committing a crime, and then calling the police bragging about it. That's a whole 'nother level of terror. A man who wore a mediaeval style executioner's hood, please and baffled and media seems to crave publicity. He's sent letters and newspapers and relief subject stated how ought to report a murder. No, a double murder. I did it here. We are fifty years after the first sodium killing in today's world of friends that old cases are being solved who doesn't wanna know how it turns out. But how about this for the second consecutive year youth emphatically served in the newest class for the pro football hall of fame three first time eligible players go in champ Bailey, Tony Gonzales and Ed Reed selected among those going into the class. I I I think they were the ones going into their their locks. They're going to be a now who else is going to make it and Tylar makes it which which I some people said they were surprised I wasn't asked surprise. I not going to lie. I was a little more supply. And I think I love this guy is a player. Kevin y when the only reason I say, I was surprised he went in because others Alan Fanta Steve Hutchinson. Twenty all these guys are kind of in light. It seems like the old line is in kind of a a Q like the wide receiver, and Milwaukee kinda is is in now before those guys I think I think there were more than a few people surprised at that a little bit. But obviously congrats Kevin y Ty law. Contributors, Pat, bolan Gil Brandt and senior finalists, Johnny Robinson. And it was very cool. Johnny Robinson defensive back when Ed Reed went up to Johnny Robinson, basically thanked him for kind of carving the path for players. It was a very very cool moment. They're out of this this particular class of two thousand nineteen and can I just say, well, I was very disappointed that Don coryell once again didn't get in the former coach of the chargers in the cardinals who really invented a lot of the offense you're seeing. Now, I was thrilled to see gillibrand going for those that don't know. Gillibrand was a longtime front office guy in draft. Guru with the Dallas Cowboys Cowboys sort of reinvented modern drafting in the sixties and seventies. They use the computer. They were the first ones to do. This was kind of like this is kind of like north Dallas forty that team kind of Representative. There was the Cowboys of how they were going about getting players in such. Yeah. So I I was thrilled for Gill. Who by the way is a sharp as a tack still to this day when the SuperBowl wasn't in Dallas. Super Bowl forty five. He lives in Highland Park. And I was running in the neighborhood with a friend because one of my college roommates lived in Highland Park. And we were down.

That's might earlier. The bed sevens for. It was. Oh, yeah. Yes thoughts. What do you think? I saw some people be like could could Anthony Davis gel in play together. That would be the least of my concerns if I could pull off that deal. Yeah. I would. What part of these two? That's what I wanna know. What's the part of these guys games that doesn't I guess they're not great great shooters. But everything else is like what? Yeah. I don't know if that would be a huge concern. I guess it's like aid strictly a four at that point. What he likes though? No. I know I I'm trying. I'm just trying to find a negative fear. There really isn't one. Oh, wait a minute. We have more breaking news. Oh boy. As of yet less than thirty minutes ago. The twenty nineteen pro football hall of fame finalists have been announced is I close personal friend Isaac Brusca. You better believe is in there actually is is Tyler fucking in there. Let's say we this not along these just the ones people know 'cause I don't wanna read off like the radio announcers. Okay. Steve atwater. I was eve at what an Ave. That's it. Yes. From me. Okay. Chant bailey. Yes. Reme-? Tony boselli. That's he only played six year. I just don't think that's enough. Is Bruce strong. Yes. I remember him being really he probably should get in. I don't know if he will. I dunno. Audible lands kinda weird. It is. But if if someone's going to get in I feel like he's going to be the guy. Yeah. I don't like I don't think Huchon fantical get in. And if I had a pick one on probably say Hutchison. Next Edgerrin James who first ballot from me. But people have been like, I can't believe you think is Allah Famer. So he'll be off. Tyson law is next. If. I don't hold like many beliefs. I'll argued tooth and nail over. Tyler was the most influential cornerback of the twenty first century hands. Dow, they literally changed the way the sport was played because of how dominant he was if that's not a hall of Famer. I don't know what it's buddy he's not in a trance. No. No, I agree. A- who has who has more without looking it up who has more interceptions? Dion Sanders Tyler. Now's law. The Trump question they have the same amount was like sixty. It's yet some like that let me say like bullet up. Like a row I was going to say like if I goes lash people stop throwing Dion. He was just dancing fifth. Fifty three pretty good. Yeah. Not I'll fire, but he also probably should've been suitable thirty six I'm pay since he had a pick six and a game where they scored seventeen points. Hand which oppose it. That was the one where would beat the the Marshall the Rams, okay? Well, again, but just the the route the amount of times on national television. He would walk up to pay manning Turnham around just pulled out his pants in front of everyone. I listen fuck it out. Listen, the guy made to all pros in his career you want that mucking the hall of fame. I led the league interceptions twice led league passes defended it appears they didn't even track this stat for entire career out, which is awesome. He's from. I didn't know he's from Aliquippa. I'd put him in the hall of fame for that alone. Everybody's actually I did not know he's Aliquippa this this the first meal he ever eight was just a football him at Andy Reid prepared for him. Hope he got a slice of it for to get in. You know, re Rivas also from Aliquippa. So yes. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I would just take a football team of Aliquippa verse the world. Correct it good. Tony dorsett. Tile. We've is locking up Pistol Pete. He he'd be in the mix somewhere..

"But make sure you are aware of this chocolate covered football this holiday season. Jeez. Or us. She didn't discuss this yesterday. But what are your thoughts on the twenty five semi finalists for the pro football hall of fame that were announced? Well, I mean, it's been this way for a while Bri. But it really is just cool for me to see all these guys that I either played with or against like, I think this is the first year for champ Bailey. And he and I were teammates with the Redskins in two thousand one two thousand two great guy, by the way, really quiet, but an excellent excellent player hard to believe that he played five years for the Redskins. And then ten for the Broncos ten, but he was an awesome guy. Just a tremendous athlete and player. You guys know how I feel about. Tony Boselli interesting to see a couple of Rams receivers Isaac Bruce Entory Holt who I've done some radio stuff with you got two of the best guards I ever saw. Alan fanta. Steve hutchinson. It'll be interesting really interesting to see who ends up getting in really glad to see Richard Seymour, by the way and Zach Thomas on the semi finalist list of top twenty five Zach Thomas was incredible and Richard Seymour. I've said for years was the best defensive lineman. I ever played against so. Yeah, I guess those are my thoughts Bri very very cool to see all these guys I played with and against. Jeeze? I'd also since you covered the eagles pretty close. Ross your thoughts on OC micro saying that integrated golden Tate into their offense has been challenging well, Greg. I obviously talked about that Greg brought that up. So that means it was especially noteworthy, Greg. And I really think the challenge is much as anything has been between he and Alar because they're both really better suited to be in the slot. So that was kind of my read on it. But I will also say that if they like to do hurry up stuff, and that might be a little bit more challenging because it's just a name. It's a code name like Chita Chita Chita, and you got to know where to line up and what route you're running based on him saying cheetah. Whereas if you're actually in the huddle, they will say. Spider to why banana or whatever they'll say stuff, and they'll basically based on what they say, they're telling you, what your route is usually it's a numbered system. And they'll say to jet all go. Well, everybody's running to go. You know what I mean? So in the huddle, they actually tell you what you're doing. So there's a bunch of different reason why they could be or maybe the coaching staff, you know, maybe they just never one of them. Maybe this is just some at the front office did without really consulting with the coaching staff. And what you get is a guy that frankly, you know, it's been that put him in there. They didn't really want. They didn't really feel like that's what they needed. Jeez. Love this story. Aaron Rodgers donating a million dollars for the wildfires in California, your thoughts. Incredible. You know in in a day and age where so many people are saying, you know, these prima donnas, they get paid too much, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I love how often I see on social media. I wish it was even more frankly guys like Aaron Rodgers doing incredible things, and before you even think to utter we'll five mood out much money. I don't care who you are. And how much money you're making a million dollars is a lot of money to donate to a cause. A lot of money. I will also say this Bri. I don't know if you saw the tweet from his brother Jordan about you know, when your mom has her car packed radio evacuate. And you haven't even called her this everything else just seems like an act made me, really sad. And so I just wanted to say one quick thing. Well, maybe two quick things to all of our great listeners number one. And I know Brian feels the same way we are incredibly thankful for each. And everyone of you, even if all you do is listen and give us thirty five minutes of your day almost every day that is an incredible blessing for Brian..

"I mean, come on, there's enough there. Hey, love, big all these times. We talked at them, you know, I love this and in the media, I'm not a humble guy, right? No, you're like to let people know. Okay, so I don't deserve to be it really is, but you know, on that hand, I think there are a lot of guys that don't deserve to be in there. Yes, I mean a lot right. And you know that drives me, oh, we want more guys get in there. Why didn't they? But we can't let te'o in until the third time or whatever it was in third try, but there's a lot of guys that don't deserve to be in there and just how the whole thing works. Look. It should be ex players, Jenner managers, personnel, people, players, whatever. It is putting these guys in the hall of fame that's who should be doing it. But you know, my argument is in repeat myself. Probably. I wanna be voter for the pro football hall of fame writers. I'll tell you who is a writer deserves to me in there and who shouldn't be give you one writer that should be in the hall of fame. I can't name me one, but I know I know what you mean. Say, I mean, you know, oh, let's get people that really have nothing to do with the game to be the people decide who goes into whole thing. All right, so writers, I appreciate what they do, but you know, they can only. There's so many instance they go by scores stats this, that they really don't can't and rightly so what fan can really pay attention enough to really know. I think one of my biggest gripes about the hall of fame is some defense players and especially offense of Lyman who are hall of famers the get in right. That is my number one being bullshit guy like Alan Fanta or some of those guys come in the greatest guards we ever seen in the game. They're still not in because even get a mention, you know, oh, oh, oh, you know how many touchdowns that he catch you moron. And you know, hey, Charles Haley played against some great guys, right to light, right. I mean, it's on and on all the great defensive players that we played and Charles Haley, man. If he's not one, he's he's up there one, two or whatever the best that we ever played against the giants. And again, you know, of always said this Richard. Well, that great bears defense on those. We talked about Richard in a lot. That's, that's all. Remember here you're blocking anybody over and block this guy. You don't really shoulder. You're going to go out before you go out checkout dent, make sure he's not gonna kill SIMS before he throws the ball. So this is the most important one who was a better overall player. Brian Dawkins or Brian Urlacher dockets is going to be my fourth guy. Okay. And I'll just, I'll start a doubt and what's what's Phil Pickett. Okay. Phil. Are you picking Earl Akkar or dockets? I'm picking dock and yes. So I mean, for me, dockings is the best safety not named try palm alu and Ed read that we've seen in this generation and I do think he's in that conversation with them too. He just got. He was unfortunate that he didn't get to win Super Bowls and being some of those big games that they did all the time. I think he'd be more of a household name, right? Dockings is phenomenal. Play great defenses could do it, do it all ultimate professional. I played with them in Denver. He's amazing. And then I'll just go to lock or five and just say this to me is the one guy that does not belong in this class. I'm sorry Ray and I'm not trying to take a knock on Brian Urlacher. I really like them and I think he's hall of fame material, but the fact that he got in a first ballot hall of fame along with Ray Lewis I think is totally wrong or locker. Like says, a hall of Famer. First ballot hall of famers are only for people in my mind. Like Randy moss Ray Lewis, Joe Montana, Tom Brady the all time greats of the all time greats. And that's where I think they're wrong on locker. Yeah, it's a good opinion. You know, you talk about Brian Dawkins, you know Adam, he was not Troy, pull a model, but he wasn't far behind it and they got the play an era where safeties were like really big in the game..

"Talk about somebody we we put them up a little bit higher and then all of a sudden you say something negative about somebody else brian dawkins whose hall of famer okay let's all hit any atas chances meet how many other benefits title game said you go to you had a chance when super bowls i mean you're in the playoffs seven different times he had your chances and he played on a good defense here oh it did did john lynch benefit from campus defense yes he did absolutely meant and derrick brooks benefited and warren sapp benefited at reid had sixty four interceptions was that defense great yes did ray lewis benefit from ed read yes and rain to me big kyaw take him over anybody on at baltimore defense including ray lewis every could return he made you heal made you pay when he made an interception at read made players but i i i don't mean to demean any of these other players and that's what happens when you start to compare and that's the important unfortunate part of this process here if i'm going to talk about these lineman okay i can only go by what i saw which he'll jacoby and tony boselli kevin muana alan fanta but i i don't know much more about that other than what i saw i thought the cell ian and anthony munos were two of the best athletes i ever saw play tackle because they could have played other positions and muna's might have been the best athlete i ever saw is an offense had one yongpo at reed with baltimore played in fifteen playoff games had nine interceptions yeah i don't and it's troy paul amal lose great rodney harrison is great john lynch is great uh there's varying degrees and.

"First and last though podcast last night the pro football hall of fame announce the fifteen finalists for this year including four former players in their first year of eligibility and this is pretty cool because usually for me the hall of fame voting every year has been learning about a lot of guys guys that were certainly near the tail end of their eligibility but seem more more in recent years of guys creeping there are really no and i feel like this year is really the nexus where it's the transition into the guys that were part of my childhood as a football fan and so seeing them now all get their day knowing that this means we're gonna get highlights and rehashing of a lot of the great career moments for guys like the first timers like rain lewis randy moss steve hutchinson brian earley lacquer you've got the other guys to the other finalists on this tony boselli isaac bruce brian dawkins alan fanta kodjo jacoby edgerrin james ty law john lynch kevin why terrel owens and everson walls at listing off that class right now i would him at lead just got chills especially when you here for me selfishly and i'll start here in work towards the names that you guys are going to care about because for young offense of lyman seeing steve hutchinson and kevin maguire there's powerful like scaly dead tony ba selli was the first frame of reference player i ever had as a kid because i remember my parents talking tony boselli was a guy to play for my dad played and shortlived career because of a a lot of injury shorter than it should have been.

"Oh 23 here on his early wednesday jj after the jazz this jazz team fraternity page out here on the fan at eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six and i have the list of the fifteen finalists for the pro football hall of fame class of two thousand eighteen you have four former players in their first year of eligibility and in my opinion three of those guys or is close to walk says it gets ray lewis randy moss brial an early lacquer and steve hutchinson now it's always tricky with the elephants have i'm and now holds who's one of the best offense lima for years with seattle and then with the minnesota vikings or lack of lewis it linebacker their performance speaks for itself randy moss you know the nfl committee was on their high horse last year keep it terrell owens added hall offend they're going to do the same thing we're enimont's this year i mean both rose dash should be in the hall of fame now the nfl hall of fame miss it's so difficult to say you know on a given year who gets in who does the it's like you have to wonder what the criteria is they meet in a room nick down the case they prean beat riders radio personalities to try and enhance the case a specific guys like geremi's going to do that gave them wa the fto there you have ever so walls they got tony boselli isaac bruce brian dawkins alan fanta joe jacoby edgerrin james ty law john lynch that is a loaded classify analysts order cuss and you would think oh is no doubt i would say oh lacquer no doubt i mean those guys for years were dominant figures in italy dominant figures now i would have booked wide receivers groaning i mean the fact that tearing yet in last year really sit well me at moscow and until but it's like with the nfl you've got to wait done no given at you're going to get in on the first ballot sell i mean i could tell you the four or five guys i'd pick this year but that's going to be the class come super bowl week i'll minnesota it's like rolling the dice because if teo can't get in.
