"This is your co host Alan Ellis with the miss robin my wife the the robin Ellis show my daughter want to know if I page on the call in yeah well we got one caller from we got Brian Anderson the tick terminator on the in in the queue but we've got Luigi who held on for the last hour so let's talk to Luigi and then we'll go right to Brian Anderson good morning Luigi how you doing for more all up for crazy but the Edgewater New earlier L. I'm all set number two I think you know right yes so one of the things I'm going to tell you in our war over which the show called governor of Maryland this story all right AG eight Luigi we're not gonna go there today okay we've been there done that okay the report we we've talked corona virus to death the last couple of weeks so we're not going to go in there and bash the governor today and talk like that and I appreciate your comments and you're entitled to your opinion but we're going to move on I'm not sure I'm not fashion about the virus I'm passionate if he does he want to go down when the when the when the when when the president's coming to fort McHenry the reward that that's what I'm passionate about I understand I do and I saw that yes I I did see that and you know I do think that is to some degree disrespectful not quite as disrespectful as the mayor of Baltimore all your more you Jack young okay well Luigi look we **** we share some of the same thoughts and you know I don't think we should ever disrespect our veterans no never disrespect your veterans of you know our president is out there for McEnery we're the for god's sake the national anthem was written there but Francis Scott key during World eighteen twelve and here we are yeah here we are we want to tout are great for it and are great you know the place in history and the mayor of Baltimore and our governor disrespect the president United States I I don't agree with you on that show third so our store with gotcha R. okay guys we we people just got a little tired of the virus I think in we heard about it yep yeah we yeah we kind of backed off for virus twenty four seven comments so but you said you were affected right correct here we are not yet not yet a lawyer with me I really appreciate your service my heart goes out to Vietnam veterans you know I I graduate in nineteen seventy two so we're in the same age class I missed it but I had friends that serve and I saw the way this country treated our Vietnam veterans I'll tell you all your it's horrible horrible horrible so here are our words are our outward will no I got I was in the marines hello I was in the arcade moments sixty nine right I would overturn sixty eight the big telephone service yes Hey Laura well I was in the hospital okay moment sixty nine November thirteenth Marshall my birthday to third I ended up in the VA hospital for March well so those people who never served people who have never served and don't care don't get it and I never served but believe me man I get it I get it Thursday so how will operate at thirty one dollars another words and I really I don't care for your recorder or dollar guys around me I get it well Brian I mean Brian Anderson is standing by there but he's our guest so we picture yeah man yeah do you have a wonderful day thank you and look for you and John and the rest of Vietnam veterans raise a glass to your fallen comrades today I will I will all right take care bye all right about bye bye good morning Ryan morning thanks for having me you're welcome how are things in the Michigan R. darken the sun is just coming up right well glad to hear that we are inundated with rain here in in on the eastern shore of Maryland we're also inundated with pics and that's your area of in of expertise correct yeah yeah that's that's what I work with you mentioned the indeed so look look I I saw your I looked at your website the arctic terminator dot com and I learned that there were eight hundred and fifty varieties of chicks around the world democratic are you kidding me so that's that's how many there are lots of your United States I want to be in the east of the Mississippi we have basically three that we are concerned about American dog tick the the Lone Star tick a little little white dot on it yeah in the black like black like a tech which is otherwise known as the the deer tick and write one carries Lyme so we worry about three and there's actually other ones that came on some Asian one here last couple years but yeah let's see that's pretty nasty if you get you get bit by one of those but let me just let me just tell you our experience we have a family member who's affected with live he's had both line and rocky mountain spotted fever yeah both and there are a number of people that I know that if they have gotten both okay we have a the lady that writes for a magazine does the cooking segment she was recently diagnosed re diagnosed with Lyme that she got decades ago yeah okay and then we have a friend in your system yeah and then we have a friend that lives down the street here who is bitten by who was bitten by a Lone Star tick and has the alpha gal allergy to red meat yeah so yeah that's a little more comment further south you go there that being a call to pull off and I think it is not a burden on all those illnesses right but yeah you see yeah I mean I I I have a picture of a of a lime map in United States right in the east coast east coast as it I called the tech belt taken line belt yes correct order number two six felt here in Wisconsin Minnesota Michigan area right but you guys are top dogs on on the stove and heat yeah rather be in the head tech people yeah we're we're proud of that that's for sure press the tell us the life cycle if you can help the deer tick that's the one that most people are worried about around here no we didn't you know the loan star thing that that one scares me because that's you know that's the one that can carry a number of different things so including rocky mountain spotted fever including the alpha gal thing but give it to help people the people's column deer ticks because they think dear have a well they do but that's not the whole story no no I mean I I just put pics kind of enough all I could think category and just try to keep all of us you know whatever their but anyways yes but the life cycles kind interesting most people don't realize the life cycle of picks and I studied you know for hundreds of hours here but anyways please picture I go like this a female gives birth to anywheres between a thousand three thousand at a time all right in the summer yeah there they come out a little eight diesel existed on the fourth floor for actually a couple weeks and then they hatched into what they call the larva stage so there's just tiny little specs down in the fourth floor so at that point like any newborn anything they get hungry and they're looking for a meal all sixty it is blood that that's it you know kind of boring and they say it one time a year so these little babies picture looking for a meal and on the fourth floor typically their first host or their first meal is going to be like a white footed mouse chipmunk or something of that nature as they're sucking the blood out of that that first hosted the the weight but most the germs or the pathogens we called from that host is what gives them life disease they are not born with it that's the thing a lot of people in real life so there there are no not although close given lime disease but that's where they get it no wait wait wait wait wait wait wait back up the ticket right the check has this pathogen in its system not in the pathogen is basically a germ they get from the the hosts from the mouth yes okay I I get that and then it turns in the lives of these in them in the tech they get a germ from the host lieutenant people don't understand the white footed mouse or is is you know crucial to this whole thing okay our huge yeah yeah okay you have it because our call deer ticks because that's basically the end user okay yeah so they they got the white yeah okay so they feed their first meal on the white footed mouse and get the germ from the mouse or the small mammal and that develops the Lyme disease that they then in turn when they attached to their next toast transmitted them which is typically a deer or any any for help progress their life at that point and yeah so what happened is this little tiny tickets is very very small course they after they get out the hosts for you know couple days they get off and then they this they don't do much in his head that this gonna hang out and yeah they learn yeah and I you know because yeah we're further north they had a morph into the next series which is the next series usually the next spring okay now during that more for series whatever you wanna call it they grow to more legs they're born with six now the next spring they come out and they're actually have eight legs that's why they are part of the arachnid family later family because they have like another reason to hate them yep that's right yep so anyways they're they're called the new ticket that time some people called the C. tech okay I'll say that series that body size of them stage is responsible for of vast majority of people acquiring Lyme disease they come out probably in April you don't on April and may for sure actually may as Lyme awareness month so they come out and they are looking for something to and if we've brushed by them because ticks basically sit on a piece of grass low vegetation they'll drop out of trees there on local education worse something that walks by weather sauce for a squirrel or a rabbit tune you know anywhere it is yep I get it whatever it is it's got they can smell that then sense that that's CO two that you know as a mammal and blood yeah anyway they get on that and a new ticket is so small it's like the size of a period honest sentence forests for a a poppy seed like on a bagel tiny tiny tiny you can barely even see them so they get on their end do you see on there for a couple days and then the get there but they're done for the year that next winter they morph again into the next series called the adult series and typically that that series is where they're going to get on a bigger animal and a lot of times they will get on it here of course yeah hence the name deer tick all right but at this point at this point there there are.

"Well good morning everybody this is Alan Ellis and his side kick who occasionally kicks him in the side by the time the quarantines over yeah yeah absence makes the heart grow fonder remember that is this the absence here day exactly familiarity breeds contempt Hey how do we go the card is actually pretty good it was quite old joking around it was it was good week got a lot done you know you got a lot that I got a lot done said you you've been you've been busy you've been busy helping out friends shepherding the flock here in the house but the it was a good week good week hello here we Chris my week was was okay nothing nothing spectacular I mean other than the fact that I'm still trying to get used to the fact that when I come to work which is late in the day and I pull off at six ninety five into Russia road there's some traffic yeah and and and that what normally is a forty five minute trip is about twenty minutes tops nice so when you pull in the parking lot over there the other side behind at the hotel how's it I mean really full and there is nobody there either there's nobody here I think the only people that are here are maybe one or two cast and maybe the rest and I'm talking like bare bones the staff of like maybe four or five well somebody at the front desk and maybe a security guard and that's it I mean because they're at the restaurant and the bar is closed yeah so anybody that comes here they're going to be stuck because there's really no place to eat and less course to get a car and they go to some of the the fast food drive through areas that's it a little weird very weird I you know even we've been watching some commercials and stuff on television and one of the travel how would I put that without saying names when the big travel companies David said stay home the elderly are you still trying to get to to get rent hotel rooms and do all that call yeah yeah they're saying you know right now we're good with you stay at home and that's pretty cool to see everybody work together like that you know once this thing breaks people want to get out people have I'm I'm gonna seven thirty or I could tell you yeah I've been I've been I've never set home this long ever you know and I mean I've gotten work done we've we're developing a new poll part of the business so I've been doing things like getting licenses and and federal E. I. N. numbers and you know that type of thing input not forget that things and I got a lot to a lot down on the on the book as far as the Maryland's finest the record book for Maryland big game the white tail deer and black bears and secure got a lot done for that so you know things things can get done when you work from home and that's a good thing actually I think it's got us to catch up a lot on different things that we need to catch up on not everything we need to catch up on right we got a few more to go Hey our numbers for ten W. C. B. M. six eighty four ten nine two two six six eighty this is the outdoorsman radio show we talk about fishing hunting in the great outdoors and for those of you who are awake would appreciate a phone call what are you doing during this time of quarantine and social distancing I will tell you that Tom is on the line right now let's talk to Tom what's up there my brother are you this morning are you guys garden full of paper down there no you know what's amazing there is some available in certain places yeah yep and robin robin is is helping out a friend a healthcare provider healthcare provider watches your daughter a couple days a week and I walked a little girl out to the house to the curb and I walked out the other day and yours is very high in by Janet thing of toilet paper interest front seat and she says that's for you for help is this a perfect you know it's like with the thirty rolls or something amazing I've never seen one that big you know it's it's it's like a I don't know where she got it but anyway you know so we're we're stock we're and we're good full of papers the new gold exactly exactly no question open work and so I just thought I'd give you a call say I won't let you work in that's a good thing how you feeling our servers are doing it that way keep it that way that's from a brother yeah Robert robin put a thing on the problem put a thing on Facebook the other day let's let's hear about a movie title where you replace one word with toilet paper now you can read that over your head while you're working today there you go it's pretty funny isn't there yeah see you later bye Hey Chris yes my favorite one was it a fistful of toilet paper yeah I got like a hundred answers it was wonderful yeah it was great must've been single ply possible possible they're handing out samples of the when I put on with the lady was handing out depending on how much you work around the house the kids the chores you do you get sheets of toilet paper so many squares per sure well you know there's there's all kinds of memes out there right now go ahead we got mark on the line Hey mark good morning thanks for taking my telephone call our pleasure what's up well I just took this opportunity to green out my home more through all my laundry basically do spring cleaning that I always go don't get until summer right that's gone and also in a way I guess I'm lucky because our records I'm retired veteran but as a part time job or it wasn't passed out menus at the homes of for a food to local food delivery service right the carrier takeout delivery and this is a great time for me to have that because there's a demand for that right now and and also I'm an artist and a musician and so what I'm drawing right now is a coded nineteen signed with a slash through it you know how you see those street signs will slash yeah so I I do a big red circle in a red line through it in October nineteen correct slash Jordan of coral my door helps I love it but I wanted to ask you you know no one likes the situation now a lot of people are are are staying home locking themselves then and I was just wondering all is it a good time to go out and being outdoors yeah why not that's what I was thinking yeah I mean yeah so I think was kept on so it's a picture the other day of a of a popular snake kids spot where they were lined up along the route the all around a really long road and there was no social distancing their they were on top of that if you go out you face your six foot from everybody else that's why they suspended trout stocking the one people crowd around a deer or anything read also outdoors woman likes to on Danika I would think that they would report it if all the animals are viruses I mean I feel it's a legitimate question I don't know that this jumps to end the war there has been a lot of controversy about that and I'm still not real sure on it yeah I mean there's a lot of articles I I can't I can't see it quite you know myself for saying dog for huh dog I know yeah I don't know who that is for which makes sense because if if let's say you sneeze than the particular it's got on the dog's fern and you touch you know you you you that's right they log in and you touch your face will then there it is but I don't think from what I understand I don't think the animals themselves Caria right just like on there for I was reading about I got to read the whole article by water so yeah I definitely I texted my sister about her outdoor cats and I said you know she's be probably vision one of our cats going into now but no I wouldn't think that this thing would jump like austere popular surface that would be horrible if it did I mean to remove god forbid it should hit the animal kingdom shall be horrible you're right so I don't want more that their vectors and it really hits them you know what I mean yeah not there's also a cartoon on the valves straw courtroom for my own self about deer stand virus get away C. ng L. like it away the cease to exist that's what we all want that's what we all want to go you're right hi mark thanks for the call buddy okay bye bye all right bye bye let's talk to Dale good morning "Good morning everybody back to the second hour this is Alan Ellis with his lovely and gracious partner in good morning everybody are co host ms robin Hellas so so you were we have somebody on the line yeah and we're good morning Martin how you doing thanks for holding on okay your thoughts your listeners might be interested I didn't finish the job thanks for like seventeen years and nor to the Dover bridge and for five years ago we started catch the blue catfish well they're getting bigger every year and now yesterday I called three blues between twenty six and thirty inches and last week I called a blue catfish that was thirty four inches long weighs twenty one pounds yep yeah I just I just cleared I mean they're getting huge I mean it's unbelievable and then and another thing I wanted to bring up a call of a rock of course they're starting to move a little bit in the rivers and only about eighteen or twenty inch rock and his whole tale would read and it had in all for about the size of a quarter in this tale and I haven't seen that for quite a few years is this is this something you've heard of well it's yeah what's it called I know at the temple and I can't right now I'll look it up again and I'll I'll let you know but it's not uncommon it's in nature it's endemic in the bay it comes from stress a lot of it it can come from an abrasion my co mycobacteria services what is Michael bacteria really I don't remember the name Michael M. Y. ciencia Michael bacterias you can Google that what I am yeah and the person go ahead no I mean I I will a while back when people are catching rockfish there I mean we had a lot of big outbreak of it in the bay a couple years back but it comes from stress were you know the fish the oxygen was the depleted in the Fisher all gather together and you know they were the sum of more getting this Michael bacterias I mean it's you know it's out there it's just something that's out there few years back there were a lot of fish with it and then they you know that because of migratory nature the fish you know the you know they come and go but I don't I don't think you have anything too much to worry about I don't think there's a massive you know folks the official area you know was a hoax right you knew that right yeah yeah that was that was a hoax perpetrated on on a fishery with with no good reason but mycobacteria Sisi's is going to be out there for a long long time just you know just avoid it if you can throw the fish backer you know do what you gotta do I didn't touch it I flyers and this of course use circle hooks because well I catch fifteen to twenty catfish today and I'll catch maybe ten or twelve nights white perch I use a big circle page forty cats this is an out of town that not only because of the rock is great on the catfish they don't they don't swallow almost every one of my catching the drone very easy don ho yeah there and try and get that hold them out of their gut yeah absolutely absolutely well what do you what do you do with the blue kit what do you do with the blue cats all RW Melvin I keep my whole community pulled Kathy side I guess I catch a hundred summer down there they're good they're good I mean one of my buddies gave me one couple of Monday and we flew him up and they were they were right good so there's no great characters one year one year playing that out to me is very solid and it's white where is crack addled catfish is dog yeah I like a yellow tinge to it yeah we just heard that thank a little bit of mud in the channel cat with the blue catfish is much better even than the channel catfish you know maybe we couldn't meet well there is a market form there's no question there's a market form there are people that fish for them commercially but you know with with the they are an invasive species like the snake at you know and who he is there eat everything there eaten there eaten Chanderi perched mostly white Percheron out there even though I mean what what do you what do you find it even more when you when you have you have you investigated what's what's in them one of the I don't I don't really mess with it because they're very hard to pull any closer they're so large yeah I have to use like eighteen installation are you yes and and what I do is I palladium although I don't skimp out for either the slab all problem right now put that on one of those boards with the adult teeth on the yeah yeah that's perfect that your honor I just forwarded to me all of this the end yeah well yeah I can I can fly out of characters like that in maybe four or five minutes of sedation I'm going to shoot I'm going to share with you I'm going fishing with you rods are kept alive or dead trees are you know you that what are you are given that ninety percent away I I just love the fish yeah it was nothing wrong with that man the room that you live on the eastern shore no no I live up in always mills Maryland but I've got a place out there on the job thank god at Preston yeah and I'm far from alone I don't leave the pier one of them they're pretty much live on the pier okay all right well look I appreciate the call man to keep fish in those blue cats of dealers gonna love you okay all right thank you.
