"When my friends and family, and everyone I know tuned into ESPN to see the highest level of mixed martial arts in the world, and you fucking shit on us. You Donald Trump us. We're the Clemson Tigers. You gave his McDonald's you son of a bitch. And then you say we're going to give them more fights. What the fuck are you talking about? Giving him more flights. Swallow, your ego and say, you just shouldn't be here. We may mistake. We thought I've never seen go past the first round he punched him, but on Saint Carter's rate loss of edge, cool, man and move on. But what you don't do as we'll see what happens. We'll keep going more fights. No what you do is go. He's nowhere near the level that we take pride in that. We've built this sport up from day one from the ground up and everyone loves it. We're not gonna shit on you guys like that. That's our bad. You know, what we're gonna do when you put him back on the regional seen get more skills. And hope we have no more mistakes. And then bring him back bat are bat. You won't hear that. You won't hear that you won't. And it's a shame. And you see that piece of shit fight again. Bad dudes bad dudes? It is what it is going paint that fuck and cheetah pink spots are under those never go away. It's different. He did not. He did not fuck in steal from target. He did not. You're not talking about stock exchange. Trade bullshit inside trading. None of that. You're not PD's. You're talking about hitting a woman being the shit out of her. You should get a second chance. But it shouldn't be in the UC. This isn't a redemption story. This is a piece of shit story. And hopefully, your end of the light at then you're tunnels, not hitting women not become the UC heavyweight champion of the world. The fuck you talkin about this is ESPN you gave us fast-food where expectant flaming young. And that's what you did to us, and it blew up in your fucking face way to go. I'll tell you what was fun watching a fight with Brogan Brian count in the back here in Rogin talk about it. I'm not gonna speak for that was fun that was fun here and break down and critique this technique that was fantastic. And I wish you wanted to heard that night guy knows more about the sport than anyone on the fucking planet. Th- ridiculous, man. Well, but he's young. Oh is he no he's not? That's not a prospect. How old is that fucking guy? Thirty thirty at least. Exactly. That's not young. Down with it. I'm done with it. Back to mate event. Yeah. Made event. U T J dillashaw Oliver's, Henry pseudo. I. This was a bit of a disappointment for me because these and it's completely different grown from Alan Crowder in Greg hardy skill set and shot it Allan crowd or you're on my favorite fighters. Now love to have you on the show whenever you're in LA. Let me know man, you deserve. So going from Crowder in Greg hardy right to Henry saloon T J dillashaw, which could be you consider the most technical skilled fight of all time. They're up there. Top five. Those guys are show fucking skilled teat both pound for pound not five easily easily. That's might wake last bounce around greats. So you have a chance to champ. And I was expecting a display of straight up mixed martial arts at the highest level. And what happens T J dillashaw gets cut, right? By the started. With a kick me that was a little bit of issue. And then behind the air was early stoppage. Yes. And this come for me. I I always side on the the of the ref at early. I really stop early in the late. I hate when they stop at late. There's so much more fighting left in both these gentlemen, stop it early. I'm cool with that this one was I found even a little too early Rusling hat damn, dude. Especially when it's a champions to champ. Those guys are skilled experienced fighters. It's early in its very early in the first round matter of fact, it's thirty seconds..

"Don't deliver McDonald's. When we're expecting a five course meal. Don't Donald Trump us when we get to the White House of mixed martial arts and feed it's fucking Wendy's. Or McDonalds man, don't do that give the people the fillet the match 'tatoes the best food in the world because you have it. You have it in the back there don't serve up this low level shit show. And that's what you got not only serving up low level shit show. But you're giving us Greg hardy who has zero skills nobody is zero skills which was completely showcased, but he has a huge history of domestic violence huge. And then a shout to area who wanna Hawaii being like, dude. What do you think of the criticism? We don't think should be in the co main event spot. There's a lot of people wanna see you losing just like anyone I take chances. And I'm happy of a second chance. All right. Let's talk about that. I believe in second chances as well. I really do. I believe in taking chances. I believe in second chances if you fail the steroid test if you took a supplement, and you take flagged hot if you. Made a mistake here and there in life, but when it comes to domestic violence. That's not a mistake. That's a that's a personality. That's a that's a that's who you are. That is not a managed fucked up and hit a girl excuse me. No that the sun state that doesn't work like that. Well, you don't know the situations. You know, I've been some crazy to agents. I, you know, I've been thirty five years on clap dealt with some crazy chick update some crazy chicks never in my life. Have I may mistake, you're hitting a woman. That's not a mistake. That's a character trait. That's you man. That's you. That's what you do. That's just what you do. And I don't think so one of his skill set with that background should be given these opportunities. Now that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a shot which they gave him on the fights contender series. Dana white condensers. That's fine continue to build them up with that. But to put him as combing event on your biggest fight card to kick off. The new fuck in deal with ESPN is insane is insane in so amateur hour, and is so it's just not well thought out that just it just shows you where they're at where that is a business. And it's it's embarrassing. The product was embarrassing. His skills are embarrassing. He does not have a career in the UC. I think we cannot we all find that out when you're beating Kansas knocking on the first round on the contender series. All right. That's fine. But he should be fighting at this level because you don't have a lot of expense. But you don't showcase that as the combing event on ESPN when you look at the rest of the card, you the rest of the carbon put put him up put him on the early prelims with the rest of the guys. No one's tuning. They can't wait see Greg hardy skills. He's not that guy. And then what happens? What happens? The worst case you checked all boxes, they should not be the first one being the domestic violence background. All right. Cool. And then you also have rituals vich fight on the card. All right. Definitely check. Let's not do that saquon skillset nowhere near at the level professional athlete in the UFC. Not even in close when it comes down to see him punk is more skill than Greg hardy his ground game. He's worked harder on his jujitsu is taking the proper steps to get there. All right. So there's that so skill set. Not there shouldn't be there. Then the third strike would be when the going gets rough when he's not when Alan Crowder and shout down crowd. I love you man, when he didn't get knocked out right away when Greg hardy kid him, he didn't fall down you find out what you're made of you find out if this fight businesses for you. Because when you're starting guys a minute, thirty seconds. Now, this is easy. I didn't do this all day. That's not fighting that is not fighting. That's not a real fight. So when Greg hardy as a bully who hits women finally get stood up to what happened. What happened not a God damn thing? You put..

"That's a huge honor for me. And I wanna thank everyone who made that happen. And hopefully that is the norm. So I I've called it the little train that could I still feel. It is such a now we have a lot of muscle behind us a lot of support behind this. And this is very exciting. So I wanted to acknowledge that I wanted to say that because it's just such an exciting time for the program. And it's a great time to be here at ESPN covering mixed. Martial arts in particular because there's so much excitement. About the sport. There's so much interest in the sport Brooklyn came and went by now, you probably know Henry Suharto is still the flyweight champion, he defeated TJ dillashaw in thirty two seconds. Controversial main event you can use that word. I think that word is a little aggressive, but it is a main event, and it's a stoppage in particular that has been debated and the thing about it is to me there is no controversy. The thing about it is it was a good call. Kevin McDonald is not some local referee. Kevin McDonald is that some guy that got the opportunity to ref a main event in Brooklyn on a massive card because he happens to be a New York referee. I've talked about this before it just because the US's in Oklahoma City doesn't mean that, you know, the local Oklahoma City ref gets a shot at the big time. First of all Kevin McDonald is from Massachusetts second of all he's been refereeing major events for the last fifty years. And in fact, he's a former fighter. As well. So he deserved to be there. And I thought he made the right call. You're looking at the highlights here yet we talked about the push. That's not what led to the demise. You're seeing the demise right over here. Look at the head go back. I thought it was a good call the referees. Have the toughest job in sports MA referees in particular, you have to jump in there at a split seconds notice. You can't think about what the stakes are. You can't think about main event you can't think about TJ Dilshad just cut wait for twelve weeks. No, that's not how it works. You have to look at what you are seeing in the middle of the cage and in the middle of the cage on Saturday night that was a proper stoppage have there been cleaner ones. Yeah. Of course. But that was a proper stoppage in my opinion. And I thought that the right call was made we'll be talking about that. We'll be talking to the two particulars involved in that main event in a matter of moments. Greg hardy, of course, made his long-awaited much disgust. You have see debut on Saturday. He fought Alan Crowder, and he lost that fight via d q. It was not a clean fight. It was not a very exciting fight. It was very sloppy fight. And I maintain everything that I said leading up to this fight was proven to be true. He did not deserve. To be in the Coleman event. He was not UFC caliber. I no problem with him being in the U of C just didn't think he should be on this card and certainly not in that spot. I didn't think he should be on that card because of how big of a car was how historic it was I ever card in the peon era. But I also didn't like the fact that he was on the same card as Rachel. I know all of you said okay enough of that already. But that was my stance. And I'm going to ride that out until the end, but the fight came and went and there were some moments and you're seeing some of his moments right over here, but in the end cardio issues and just overall skill issues. He's not quite there three in those of professional. And so I feel like they're doing him a disservice by pushing him so quickly putting him in there. A guy who has twelve flights on his record not to say that Alan Crowder, blue bright by him. But there's a controversial finish. I don't believe. He did it on purpose. I don't believe he tried to end the fight that way. I just think maybe he was tired. Maybe he just didn't know where he was. Maybe they no the rule Indian Crowder wins. Has to be helped out and out of the cage. And and Greg hardy now has a loss on his record. I think he'll be back..

"Of martial arts. He's a white belt at best maybe a little bit of a dirty white belt, but he's a beginner. Yeah. And by the way, my partner chillier is being very humble for not mentioning the fact that he picked Alan Crowder to win not in that way. But you still pick them so kudos. I guess he gets women's flyweight page making your first octagon appearance in over a year against racial hostage. An alleged victim of domestic abuse. That was announced in November. After the fight was announced van Zandt won her first UFC fighting two and a half years. Second round submission a tap out via the arm bar in that second van Zan. Ronda Rousey, the only women to finish at least two UFC fights with armed wars. And she spoke post fight on ESPN. Plus. I know it's been a long year. I know the emotions built over a little bit of kids went for you here tonight had to feel great to get back in here. I would think. Oh, really scared of you during the first round. But we still have a lot to work on the difficult journey. Back me be another train for us. Time with my arm. Rachel for taking the fight. You know? Is so to build us up. So that's what's going to happen for both of us. There were some crazy grappling exchanges in this fight. We're going to take a look at the end of the flight because I think a lot of people in the arena. Maybe didn't realize exactly what happened from your standpoint. She did tap. Did you feel the arm pop? How did it go down from your vantage point, how the rest in the backstage, do not let go and tell we call the person off of you. And I heard her tapped on my hip. "Holy cow. Yeah. I mean started seeing Sean Spicer. Yes. Sean O'Malley sink thing he wins there. And now he's in the NFC if you win there. There's a good chance that you are you ready, and guess what? He's been steamrolling people. So yeah, I don't know. I would just say I would just pull I respectfully disagree with her. I think he really is ready. And that's why he's there is ready to becoming event. No, he's not a Komen inventor. Of course, not. But he carries a name from the NFL albeit a tainted name. Let's see you have to be careful with it. But in the land of second chances in the land of being in a different sport. He's got a clean Bill here in the sport. And and he's been performing, you know. So I think with a win you're going to get a lot of people are going to get excited about Greg hardy Schutte beat Alan Crowder, and I'll Cosi with that point, George, and that's coming from somebody who actually, you know, not to peel back the curtain, but yeah, we will we have we have discussions on. We want to cover things that may junkie and whatnot. And we. We obviously follow suit with with what what the UCS. But like we said this is kind of a weird one where like Georgia's plan at the top of the episode where they've got the featured out there promoting with surrounding Hernandez in the main event. So of course, we followed suit those what my breakdowns did. But yeah, we're having some light discussion. And and I wasn't sure that that even though for whatever reason they're putting him in the Komeda Vince slot, which I if area would have say against the communist minute slot, regardless of how they're treating it. Okay. Yeah. I agree. I don't think he deserves that. And that would agree to an which is why you know, I I don't feel like is worth, you know, writing analysis on a guy who has only a couple rounds under his record only a couple of fights both amateur and or handful of fights I should say both amateur and professional, but to your point circling back to your point George coming from my stance. I actually still strongly agree with your point. And that's even taking the low hanging fruit of the CNN punks. We can always bring in the punk example. But they let him punk. But even even moving in. My still cosign with your point because how many countless guys from more stack divisions. Have we seen from five to ten no records in the UFC? And most. The reason why I say five to ten oh because that's where you usually see the end defeated drop off most guys don't make it too far past ten or. No. And if they are five to ten and notes because they are facing. Let's be honest not the best guys on the regional scene. And a lot of them are first round finishes. So another words to your point. We let so many guys without even the name without even the athletic credentials into the UFC with a similar sample sizes, Greg hardy, and he comes from the NFL an amazing athlete to be in the NFL. And he was a good NFL player, very athletic. He has the size. He's got the speed. He seems fearless. He's with a great camp. Who has a lot of quality heavyweights out there for one one of their coaches, Steve Marco, he's being trained by a Olympic caliber wrestler who also has a that mentality of the alpha male. I mean, he's sending his guy out the battle. You got Bigfoot Silva junior to Santoro's Andrea Laskey? So there's bodies out there. You know, what I mean to help him prepare, and again, if this isn't some point of like that, dude. It's crazy. Not respect their hold on. I'm very happy. Right. Yeah. Sure to ESPN, but I heard it a few times. And I thought I want to speak on this because I just had another point of view. Yeah. Well, I'm gonna go back to the alternate biter television show when they did the heavyweight season they had a belief for NFL former NFL players on that season. I mean to them I if feels really really good, and I've seen them kind of go through these stages of of demonstration, some are just having fun with it. But others are primal, and that's all that's all fair, and I'm not trying to make a witch hunt. I guess the one thing I will say it's not even a counterpoint and just the observation that sparklers in the first place was that I get all that. It's just it's just weird that his was different. And I don't think that's me or the prime formation which does play by as it does. I don't think that's that. I it just it was just something that that I'll watch them. But I like goes point to especially go figure from the from the psychological angles really really sharp there from goes as far as turning it off. And how guys some guys access that not the dig too deep down the rabbit hole. But speaking of his allegations that could kinda even speak to that doesn't make any of that. Right. Not none of us are doctors here. But some people just have Troy. Turning it off. So I guess it's something that I guess I'll be watching me too. And I want to stay with the hardy theme on this cut. Remember, I said I got to see a lot of prefight coverage on ESPN, whether it was area Hawaiian Tilson or stereo Awani or anybody talking about it or the ticker. But I want to go back to Mahoney. money. One thing he's made note of a couple of times in different interviews is he feels like Greg hardy, isn't you have see ready? It's too early. Remember he was on a developmental contract. Not too long ago. And I I would just respectfully disagree. This is one of those divisions where for one three and four no can be you know, I mean if you're in the UFC. You're pretty much. You've see ready, and there's not too many people that go through this developmental stage a AA or AAA or nothing like that. You know, we talked to a lot of fighters like Alonzo manifield and. Curtis. No sorry. Not Chris Melander cookie walls caves now who else came through the contender series that we spoke to recently. Shoot medical Curtis Melander. But anyway, there's been a few that they've already gone through it and are winning John. Holy cow. Yeah. I need still watch CNN. Sean spicer. Yes. Sean O'Malley sink thing. He wins there. And now he's in the win there. There's a good chance that you are you ready, and guess what? He's been steamrolling people. So yeah, I don't know. I would just say I would just pull I respectfully disagree with. I think he really is ready. And that's why there is ready to becoming of it. No. He's not a Komen event. Or of course, not. But he carries a name from the NFL albeit a tainted name. Let's you have to be careful with it. But like we said this is kind of a weird one where like Georgia's plan at the top of the episode where they've got the featured out they're promoting with surrounding Hernandez in the main event. So of course, we followed suit those what my breakdowns did. But yeah, we're having some light discussion..

"Miss the opportunity for a great time. But more than likely you missed a chance at being at an event that stinks around people. You don't like. If you've been waiting for Jeff Bezos, says bachelor party a second marriage. I'm sure that won't be lit. You've been to a handful of bachelor parties there there's one that's memorable there. "I mean, I I don't think that that crowd is going to be the guy to challenge him. Maybe not taking him down or whatever. I think it's going to stay on the field as twelve fights Crowder. I just think he may may smart enough to tie hardy up if possible, you know, you keep the festival, I don't know. I just have affiliates. It's not gonna be as easy as it's been with amateur fighters. No here. Alan crowder. Listen, he knows he knows that Craig haughty knocks people out, and he knows that he hurts people, but dean Thomas will tell you to hurt people on a time. You're that. It'd be hurt ain't that right team. Tom. God damn hurt. You I know chasing chasing me around. Anyway, I brought back, but we. Dillashaw against a hudo. I think that that fish my point. Yes, look, you just have. No, you didn't finish your point the door. Well, you were saying. I did pick him. Let's keep going. All right. So hudo, I T J dillashaw now for fight. Yeah. This is interesting because nobody's really nobody's talking about the hoodoo at all in this fight throughout Jake. Yeah. Seems but that's kind of a good thing though. You know, when because there's no pressure on you. He don't feel no pressure. When you look at their last fight. And how dynamic TJ looked would Cody it looked it looked awesome. Yeah. Like Killys verse heartily, right, man. But he did look these out he's slipping punches. He's hit lillies. What did you like three either right hand left? He it was. Me because we both picked Cody to to win that rematch. And he just he knocked him out again. And then you look at. So who does fight he, but it was more calculated any outpointed mighty mouse in a close fight. But when you look at what he's done right in that fight. It was very impressed. Yeah. And it was it was annoying enough that could he do that similar game plan to TJ Jimmy? No, oh, no. I don't think so confident now, I just think the TJ's third round stoppage. I think. Yeah. In the throughout. I think you will. I I have I actually have exactly the same thing. If third round knockout, I think TJ is coming in fast. I think we talked about it. The other day the difference in the size in their training to who to looks really big. I think he's gonna come in a little heavy. I think teachers is going to come in a little bit the opposite fast. And lt. He'll still have power at that way to going third right now. Fourth-round finish Fatih, Jay. And I listen. And you know, I love it on the dog. I do here especially ones that are like, you know, who. I believe Suda Suda. Yeah. I'll look it up. But it's close first title defense. You know? I don't I don't know how he'll handle that TJ's been been in this before. And not only that Jimmy you ask like like I like Muslim Cowboys been held down and beat up. Right. Does. I'm teaching has been held down and ever. I mean, he's he's gonna be hard to take down. That's the way he moved. He moved. He switches standard, so well, and he punches from news angle. So Ryo does seem to be a problem home. I got TJ two and four. So that's good. All right. The TJ. I mean, there's the site that I'm looking at him and he's a minus two hundred hundred. So it's a two to one favorite. So that's right. That's actually pretty good in that went, right? Well, listen, man. What else do we wanna plug? We're going to be getting Adia. This had no West Palm be there tomorrow and Saturday night at the improv. So you did that because you know, I wasn't going to beat her. I. I know. But I specifically check the schedule and I want out of New York. Oh, really? The fight for free. Go to West Palm talked a bunch of old people. We're gonna fucking hate me. The fight. So this Saturday Jimmy, and you know, my name, but my name is a cool really quick really quick. And. What are you doing? My my buddy. Joey goes. I wanna come over. We're having a we're having a party over. It's only maybe I'll stop in the fight through on me about pop in for a drink something..

"Nonni third shut up. Sorry. I didn't mean guys. I don't mean to tell me to shush. Sorry. Sometimes I get like Joe pitchy going to get a pen, and Jeb and someone's I wish you were like him at the casino. Listen to me, I'm going with Gregor. Bless gillespie. Why is that? Dude. But I think Yancey is pretty durable. But and he's in he's doing he's durable. Like to getting hit and stuff. But he always comes back from that, man. But I think Gillespie surround stop is submission game. Regular second stop. I want to pretend like I said at first because I wanted to say that Jimmy Jimmy took my thunder, you know, because Jimmy's been off him. Why am I so combative? I don't know. Why am I talking everybody? Look at you, man. You got your damned your head. You're eating beef jerky. Everybody sub specialty young Ethan. Yongle Matt apologizes. This is some things that you never changed. Look how messy. Jerry Andy rapper. No good. Coffees. No, she look at ovation absolute mess. No candy. And I'm still mad at you for bringing me this grape soda the frontier. Cowboy was here when I brought up about dean's pick. What Joe Rogan if dean was fighting you'd be a couple of you go like this. I was just come. You just one second. It would be the whole cover. It won't second. It would be deemed dick tuck Thomas is what? I got a little nervous for a minute. What do you mean, you wouldn't be a bad batch? And he has all the ingredients at the beef that could be whatever his name is look at your area. Looks like the fire campsite. Look at it. Look at it. You guys flip this thing on me combative, very mess. I came out. I came out pushing you guys get you guys in the corner. Now, you're fighting back up and like Blake like a bully. I don't like it. You wear a teacher. That's as savage on your like. Dave, right, right. It is the Komai. Greg hardy against Alan Crowder. Alan Crowder is nine in three. He lost his last fight. Which was is you have see debut. She got knocked out by Justin Willis. I'm jimmy. I know you're honest too. So I want you to be honest. Even though I'm here. I would be very honest about what I am going to take. I'm. If he was fighting somebody more experienced I would pick again, I'm going to take hardy in a first round TKO. I think he's gonna come out extremely motivated, which again that can work against you. In the first round, you come out, a more experienced fighter can fucking allow you. Just a punch yourself out a little bit. And then by the second round your finished. But I think the Greg hardy come out very very motivated. And he really did look good. When I watched him fight first round TKO, tell me about Allen crabs last fighting in. It was a it was his UFC debut. He lost the Justin Willis it was a first round knockout halfway through the first round and his record. He's nine and three overall. Only one UFC fight one those UFC jitters, how many in Greg hardy three and he's got he's professionally three nobody has six anime fights. Overall, three amateur fights also Allen crowded trains again with who. Let me see where it says. It doesn't say it doesn't all knockouts amateur. Yeah. And how about his? Yeah. He's he's never not not someone. Who'd you say Allen Crowder trains with it doesn't say on the sheet. No, it isn't. No, it's very important to you. Info on if you want to make up how picked when I don't. Do you know who he might produces? It's I don't know who he trains what he trains for. So I think he in fact, he just opened up the school so Alan crowded. Yeah. Okay..

"That was great. Thank you to cowboy throwing I I love talking to him. He's just a really really interesting guy. And he is crazy. He's he's not just all anyone who fights his kind of crazy. Yeah. But way, he lives. Yeah. There's to know you're going to do that and to train for that into volunteer to get kicked Pont you. It's it's a crazy way to make a fucking living. So it'd be a fireman. But the idea that he jumps out of planes just adds to. He's just insane wants to wear a squirrel suit. I don't blame them for wanting to. I would love to do that we fund to fly for the digital. They do a parachute. Oh, so you you're not gonna fall parachute. I dunno kill when they railway a squirrel suit where you. Spite of me and suit when he has this love on the. Yeah. And you can just kind of fly around for a little bit giants strode on your back. Looks like he's gonna play a video. It's insane. And these guys will do it and they get killed when they hit mountains or trees or whatever 'cause you're zipping through the air. And so if you if you hit something you're finished nothing. Nothing. Nothing. It doesn't when I see it. It doesn't strike me as something like that. It looks really fun though. You know, I'll do it on virtual reality. I'm not doing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, look at this. Yes. See that thing. Look like, a squirrel. That thing is a parachute. You fuck up. If you hit the rocks or something, you're dead. It's a video game one one. They're going so fast. How do you land? Yeah. Then probably with a parachute. You I mean, they're going over a mountain. You really have to know what you're doing do what this guy watching a video of a guy going right over the top of the mountain. But then he goes higher and now the parachute. I'm sure help him if he wanted to help them. Yeah. I don't know. I don't think it looks really fun straight up a little bit too to catch. More wind slow yourself down. Yeah. I know. I would I here's what I would do. I would put my arm into its my ear, and I would want it to spiraling fucking asshole. How close to the mountain while he is like this. This guy is you know, he's probably doing one hundred twenty miles an hour or so miles an hour. That's how those guys get Weisgall. You call one of those death wishes. I'm not into that shit. Jimmy. Hey, do your your guy by d not neither my is. In is in the co main. Yeah, we hardly prize. Yes. Greg card three and all I think he has heavyweight fighter. Tremendous punch. How much wrestling is he prepared for or ju jitsu or so here's here's what happened. You know, I had a stat guide do some stats on certain fighters on how much time they actually spend wrestling sorta I in fight. So that was how I kind of based my time we put in on wrestling. And it's about fifty percent. So we spend about fifty percent of the time wrestling. So this guy he's fighting ice fighting Alan Crowder is ninety three. So he's definitely got a good amount more experience. I don't know how many you have see fights. But he was a football player before. And did he fight amateur before that or did he just play football? And then decide to do this who Greg cardinal he and three amateur fights. He did you hear three amateur for? I mean. Mean like before he got into a until it got when he was playing football. No, no, no. He wasn't. He wasn't training at all when he's playing football. But well, he so when he started training he actually played in like Richmond. So he had like went back and played like some like smaller league to do that. But like when he was planning NFL wasn't. He wasn't training at all. How did you guys? Meet. They brought him in Malka, you know, mount he knocking Callard too..

"Plus, so we're starting out with a bang tell tell me about the some of the fights that we're going to see. January nineteen this Saturday on ESPN. Plus and the ones that really intrigued. Okay. So let me break down the main event for you guys in the most layman terms possible. Yes. I understand. Yes. And I like doing this actually I like trying to educate people on the sports. You just talked about the main event that is a phenomenal fight that is a purview where the main event J dillashaw is the one hundred and thirty five pound champion bantamweight champion. He is dropping down to one twenty five. Now, that's a story in his own right because he has never fought at one hundred twenty five pounds in mixed martial arts. He is shredded. I don't know where the extra ten pounds are going to come from. But that's a fight in itself. We cut off his left foot. Pounds. So he has this whole science behind it. He's going to come down to one twenty five and he's fighting a man by the name of Henry pseudo who just eat the winningest champion and UFC history. Dmitri's Johnson back in August Henderson who does no slouch. Henry pseudo won an Olympic gold medal in two thousand eight at the Olympics in Beijing in wrestling, and he then transitioned to mixed martial arts, and he's turned into a phenomenal well rounded mixed martial artist. So he's the one hundred and twenty five pound champion. So now, this is the amazing backstory going to this fight. And it's the story that really the UFC isn't telling you, but it's the truth. The UFC wants to get rid of the flyweight division the one hundred twenty five pound division. It's the smallest male way class that they have. And they feel at this point. There's no real market for it. It's not selling tickets Henry Suharto feels that if he wins despite on Saturday, he keeps the flyweight division around. He is fighting for the division, and that is massive stakes. We've never seen stakes like that before. So along those lines in all sports that we're talking about as you said, this helping UFC go mainstream. While sports carry themselves. They all have stars and everybody knows about Conor McGregor. But so Ken Suharto OB star or dillashaw. Could he be a start? Wh where can either one of these guys go to kinda grab the fans, I'm really happy that you bring that up in particular because I believe Henry who is a star on the rise. And if they get rid of this division, it would be a massive blunder he is best suited at one hundred twenty five pounds. If you get rid of his way class now, he's kind of or has to go guest to go up. Right. He's kind of fighting guys bigger than him. And he's not as good. He speaks three languages English Portuguese Spanish one and Olympic gold medal. He has a great back story. He's he's he's likable. He's marketable do not give up on this guy. So he has actually told me that other flyweights competitors of his have come up to him over the last few weeks saying, I don't like you. But I want you to win on Saturday. So that I keep my amazing. That is amazing again aerial Hawaii of the area who wanna may podcast is with us there. On one of the is called an undercard. But the second best fight. I guess you would say in terms of star billing on Saturday is a name that a lot of people might have a familiarity with from another sport. Yes. Greg hardy is in decomission event. Greg hardy, formerly of the Carolina Panthers. Dallas Cowboys issues many issues in the past when he first announced that he was coming to mixed martial arts and go to try his head. He has no martial arts background. He was obviously, you know, sort of let go from from the Cowboys didn't want to sign him. And and there was no home for him to put it mildly in the NFL came over to a lot of people are rolling their eyes. Like really giving your pastor gonna come over to the sport. I don't think anyone would have believe that two years later. We just three pro fights under his belt that he'd be fighting in the US and really quickly for those that may not remember hardy was arrested found guilty of assault by judge in a bench trial, a misdemeanor in North Carolina. A person can appeal the result of the bench trial. Ask for a jury trial. Misdemeanor cases. The jury trial never took place as a woman did not come forward for the trial. Hardy played in one game. Took a paid leave of absence for the rest of the two thousand fourteen season two thousand fifteen suspended for ten games reduced to four played with the Cowboys not sign with the team after that arrested on a cocaine charge in November two thousand sixteen reached a plea deal with prosecutors there. So what was that? When he wanted to come into now, your sport with that backer. A very controversial decision. The announcement was not met with a lot of enthusiasm. And I think a lot of people thought, okay, we'll deal with this guy later he's going to have to work his way up the ranks. He's not going to be in the UFC for at least the immediate future. So let's deal with them later. And now all of a sudden he's in the UFC unknown saw this coming. Let me be very clear. Greg hardy is not a quote, unquote, UFC caliber fighter Greg hardy on this card because of who he is because of his NFL background. He's in the combing event is not the third or fourth best fighter on this car. But he's a heavyweight who's quick who knocks. People out if it was me, I would not have put him on this card. I think that it's a questionable decision to be as sort of politically correct as possible, especially considering the fact that there's a young woman named Rachel Ostovic who was assaulted by her husband back in November. I just feel like it would have been best to keep him off this card that being said, they believe he has a lot of talent they believe that he's a future star in the heavyweight division and they're getting behind him clearly, and he's fighting a guy who he should beat Alan Crowder. And so if they have something on their hands here with Greg hardy, they're going to have to answer a lot of questions are. Yes, they will. Because there still lots of questions answer about Greg hardy, but aerial Hawaii is with us. We're glad he's here to the area Halawani MMA show podcast. Obviously, we had you on before the economy Gregor Habib normal medoff fight that ended in a lot of controversy. There's a very we don't have a lot of time a very important date coming up in January regarding that January twenty ninth in Nevada, the Nevada Athletic Commission is going to have its hearing to have a monthly hearing and Connor Habibur on the docket. And they are going to decide what? Kind of punishment. They're going to give those two fighters as a result of what they did. After the fight jumping into the stands the Malay. If you will most people suspect that they will get somewhere in the range of six to nine months, but it's important to note. That's retroactive, right. He's essentially serving time right now, he's not going to be a both of them won't be out for a very long time. So again kind of quickly, but I do wanna know this warmed up here. Connor McGregor Conor McGregor a star here. They're going to do a rematch. I he's gonna win again. So is Conor McGregor going to kind of fade away kind of like Ronda Rousey did. It is inevitable that they will do the rematch. I don't know if it will be next if I'm kinda mcgregor's manager item take a fight against someone else. A better style matchup. Get your Mojo back at your confidence back. And then let's revisit Habib. But there's no doubt about it. There's too much money to be made in that rematch. They will try to make it happen. I don't think it should happen next. We'll see what happens Ariel. It is great to have you here. If for no other reason, not only the great information. But we get to do this one more. Oh, yes. Call me kill people. Remember who the greatest comeback after the ball and his name is Henderson. That's the greatest. Got to give it a shot. Show. Thanks again. Greenwich L is very impressed with this. How many more times you have see on ESPN? Plus, it is going to be great. And we go from that Mike to a cat analogy. You have to hear..

I have been reminded that a lot of fans actually don't know who Greg hardy is an aren't NFL fans aren't regular sports fans. So one of the things that I wanted to do before having him on the show was just actually educate very quickly the masses as to who he is and go through this this brief timeline of events. How we got to this point with Greg hardy? Greg hardy was a decorated football player pro bowler. He played for the Carolina Panthers. And then the Dallas Cowboys he started to get in trouble in may of two thousand and fourteen may thirteen two thousand fourteen to be exact that's when a woman told the police that she had been physically assaulted and threatened by Greg hardy you've seen right over there that he played six seasons to be exact in the National Football League on July fifteen two thousand fourteen judge in a bench trial..
