"Israel's designated prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that he has successfully formed a new coalition. Moments before a midnight deadline, Netanyahu called his ready president Isaac Herzog to announce that he had formed a new government. The coalition is to be the most right wing government ever to hold power in Israel so far, the announcement triggered mixed reactions from his radi waking up to the news. "On too much pressure Okay well maybe it could be one of these days. We put on the wheel Rob akiva come up with their met gala costumes leaving the gala some years. It's the best. We've seen the all of the prestige trimmings of that. It was. I think the coveted nine p. m. sunday night time slot it was supposed to be prestige tv. But it doesn't feel like stevie ever had like what's winning awards or anything. Yeah i think the idea here is Let's you like ooh. Breaking bad is about like a mild-mannered teacher. That became a drug dealer. Like what are others. Sort of like elicit occupations that we can put a like mild-mannered person into like oh How about a gigolo nowadays now he would just get on only fans and you wouldn't even have a show it's true it would be very boring. Is there a famous show that the female prostitute. I can't think of one you know what. I don't think that we've seen that yet aren't well. "Mutual funds like dogs more than cats but i will say in curses defense famously. A cat lady can't people don't have the annoying lingo. we're talking. Dog goes last week or two weeks ago. "And then I don't. I don't know like their goal. I don't know why they're there like the lead character that we saw cisco today like i don't know what is what he do. He seems to be like the big boss in charge. But it's not clear to me like what he does right. So deep space nine is what's known as a star base Which is essentially just sort of like a a hub for starfleet which is what these people are all representing. They're all part of starfleet. It's like a rest stop in space. That's what i said. Yeah it's it's it's. It's a nicely gas gas station ship fix because the point of the series that we find this out in the first episode of deep space nine is like this star base Which was formerly recovered from a race called the kardashians which i dislike brutal organization of like kind of lizard looking people that had previously used it for various purposes Essentially gets taken over by starfleet to manage and it happens to be right next as big ass wormhole to a brand new part of the galaxy and so they're like okay. This is hot territory. I've got to kind of squat on this. And that's what kind of deep space nine is all about and due to their proximity to the worm hold their involved really a lot in the war efforts but pretty much. It's about the upkeep of the station which earns some derision from fans star trek I'm assuming you assume akiva that's usually about like going out there and exploring space. It got to the point where they eventually got their own ship to go out into space sometimes because people were getting so angry about them just staying put the entire time. Okay and i think a piece of this. That is missing mike. I don't know why. I'm even on this podcast. Because you're giving such comprehensive descriptions of everything. I think. I was kind of invited as a courtesy. But i'm going to add that when they started the show was like the premise of it was they. Were going to send captain sisko out to the middle of nowhere place to manage the space station. That didn't really matter to anybody. And then the wormhole opens and suddenly gets hot place. And then on the other side of the wormhole there are bad guys and the bad guys come in and we are now with the bad guys. That's five the biggest name jess Well there's the we have monarchy. There are a couple of different bad guys. We have this kind of loosely. Federated group called the dominion and that was another thing. I used to be obsessed with rob remember that the dominion no. There was like a board game that i played like i was like the person who play the fourth most one year. Stay inside obsessed with his board game. And i played it all day every day. twenty games at a board game yesterday. Find people to play a game with twenty times a day. Well it was like online. You could just go and like akiva plays in was japan. It was pre- panic. Well it's funny because it seems unthinkable You know a year and a half after like the apex of the pandemic but like all my family did when you leave the house for a month or two months. Overlong was we play board games like we just played and we have not played a game sits but like it would just be like tuesday afternoon and i would walk into like the living room and board game. I think we board him that but yeah that's how i played. I had to go cold turkey. Because i think i played three thousand games. Each game takes like fifteen minutes in a year. So there's the dominion and they're kind of made up of there's like three different species you have. These sort of genetically created super soldiers. That are enslaved by these other people. "Story. This week is the disney announced an absolute glut of new projects coming to disney plus or wherever else they might put things disney plus as we all know is a massive streaming service platform. That is growing constantly. that has tons of subs. But the walt disney company as we also know is just a massive player in the industry growing all the time and this was called investor. Day which i already think is a fascinating shift There are no instead of a sweeps. This is their way of letting everybody get excited about their content and its for investors. Their stocks went through the roof. Hit an all time high during this crazy time when people are like stealing food to survive. So it's weird. Because i feel like we're kind of living through the twenties and the thirties at the same time. These days disney went crazy because they just announced a nonstop lineup of tv shows and movies many of which are sequels or interational or offshoots from new star wars shows about characters that you probably never heard of even if you grew up loving star wars to new marvel shows just the images of all the logos alone overwhelmed me. I saw on social media. People just took right off their investor day slide which kind of feels like an apple announcement and and very much inspired by that. There's a lot of but wait. there's more there are so many strange things buried within this. It's almost hard for me to believe. And i think i told our jason helderman the writer. No film school as it was happening. I don't really think they're going to end up producing all of this content and he countered of course they are. But i just remember a time when bob iger. Ceo of disney said. There will be a new disney movie or a new star. Wars movie am sorry released every single year. That lasted like two years. I think before they sought not working and decided to scrap that plan. I try to learn as little as possible about future survivor seasons where wherever I can could help it because for me then it keeps it fresh as we go through it in the real time and so what we've done here today is. I'm in the blackout route. I have not followed anything survivor this morning and so I am going to learn and react to whatever Josh and my don't lie to me. Don't tell me like fake things. Austin Robbins Sandra will not enter the game. They will not become players. This is not a big brother. Fourteen situation says it they're going to be serving as advisers for the entirety of the season living out there on the titular island of the idols and we'll get into you know what what exactly they're going to do in a little bit but I also want to mention that as well you know. You can talk to your first reaction to this but this was a biggles shocker for me at least when we found out this was happening.
