LA Dodgers Beat Padres in the Longest MLB Game of the Year
"The dodgers held the padres hitless from the sixth to the fourteenth inning. Basically a nine inning. No hitter ramona. And the game had everything else. Besides though hitter and everything i mean i like i feel like i need a day off to recover from that like i literally watching a lot of the game then i was like you know what i gotta get my workout in. I'm gonna go for a swim. And i'm gonna try to come back. It'll it'll you know. I'll come back for the ending and then it was another two hours. After that i went for all workout swim and came back was still going like that. Even the last two innings were ridiculous. Weird things happened. So many yeah. Aj pollock was the hero again. this is how. Aj basically ended it in the sixteenth inning. At one o'clock in the morning to canada's appalled deep center the dodgers actually had taken the lead in the top of the fifteenth. Fernando with the weirdest homerun. You may see all year. Hit the ball to right field. Chris taylor leapt up to catch it off his glove and went out for a home run. That tied the game three and then. Aj wins at five three. Same two teams tonight in san diego max scherzer on the mound for the dodgers as they go for the sweep and the padres are on life support now. If the season ended today they'd be completely out of the play offs and they still have to play with in the remaining thirty five games left momo the giants ten times

"The san diego padres in all these at-bats are you ready. You sit sitting. You have to be laid down. Don't sit down because it might be too much excitement. They were four for fifty to the padres had four hits in fifty two at-bats in this game there were thirty. Four strikeouts and fourteen hits. That's modern baseball. That's baseball in two thousand twenty one. But i'll get it a good part. It was in the fit in the fifteenth inning The the dodgers went ahead with two runs in the bottom of the fifteenth. Who do you think on homer. I'll give you three guesses as my mother would say an and the first two. Don't count of course it was the kid. Of course it was fernando. Totti's junior a two run jack. The tied up in the bottom of the fifteen. I love this when you go extra innings and the visiting team scores in the top team goes back ties it up and we got another game talk about that later on and then in the bottom of the of the sixteen. Aj pollock of the top it. Sixty aj pollock kits went out. And the dodgers prevail. Five to three There was a lot of baseball boss by what you look at this line score. Okay and again it just. It's like a buffet table okay. There were no runs scored between the ninth and the fourteenth through the fourteenth inning. Nothing with starting off. Every single inning started with with a runner on second base and the thing is why the dodgers grinding away because they have to keep winning these games because the giants refuse to lose and and pollock who was supposed to be such a big pickup for them before long before they ever got mookie. Betts finally wins the game for them. Oh my god it's it's i. I am sorry. I went to bed on it. Because what a fun game and yet of course. Then the the Inevitable guys who went over seven in this game yeah mcelwain offers end the and the i mean even even even tatty. He strike out four times in the gas. You know. I mean it's when you get when you get numbers this we're baseball's fun in number six. You get a game for example where the padres can go ten innings without a hit ten and longer than a game. They go an inning longer than a normal game. Don't get hit these strikes out. Four times still has has has a huge hit. Tie it up when you when you get into those extra innings. It's the magnitude of the extra innings that put the normal game in perspective. You know normally you get three or four at bats and that's it this time. Get seven or eight shots at it. It's what baseball is. It's what's based makes baseball fun to talk about. But one number. I would ask you bob and i bet you can't give it to me. How many people were left in the stands now in the sixteenth. Oh i don't know if you ever get. There is a fatigue factor. I'm looking at the standards and politics and it looks like there. Were some still to people there. And by the way mitch. This was a pitcher stool through yes nine innings bueller against sell. It was one one one to one and then it turns into war and peace. And it's tyler knows this he's dodger's fan. I follow the dodgers very closely. They're playing great. Okay the dodgers are playing great and they still can't get any closer right now than three games on the san francisco. John's dodgers intentionally walked eight padres. Another number intentionally guys in a game still want it by the league ran mitch. The dodgers had ten pitchers the padras at nine pitchers. Okay and it's just about every one of them. It's great last night. It just became one of those stories. Because i had to look twice when i woke up this morning and i said holy crap. Did they play a sixteen game. Would you say bob. It's the first game longer thirteen any. Nec's yes since since in the last two years since we went to the second base coming back with the day game today by any chance. Are they thursday sometimes day game. Talk amongst yourselves. I think tyler would. I wanted to ask tyler fee. Stayed up in washington the dodger fan and tyler up past my bedtime. Now it's just like it's got the rock and he's got the rockies at night. But no i. I went to sleep mitch. Mike pitchers duel bueller and snow. They were going back and forth. So i i kind of tuned out there which tyler assures her against darvish dot. The pitching studs sure was one of the few pictures they didn't use correct. But it's it's. I'm telling you if you're the dodgers right now and they want to win every game. Obviously okay but beulah out of there and the seventh inning that they've got to win games. I have a parting shot today. About how if you're one of the powerhouses you better win your division this year because people keep forgetting when they say oh. They're going for the wild card. They're going wild. Cards are one game seasons and and so the dodgers who again nobody saw the giants coming the padres guys. Is there a bigger disappointment in the sport this year than the santiago padres. They've they might be the gold silver and bronze manolis for disappointing teams. Unless you want to throw in the minnesota twins. I would welcome to give them the honor but it was awful matched against expectations. Yeah all the money they spent mitch and all the guys they brought in. Yeah there was a lawful. Eight games over five hundred. Yeah there's no question but the sudden mitch. There three games behind cincinnati for the second wildcard in the national league. There one game ahead of the cardinals who just never quite go away quietly have started to play better. Oh i'm tony. Some the policies are a huge disappointment. Because can you think of this pop. They've really had a cheese. Was out okay. But to not the reason they're playing the way they've been playing lately they've just been a catastrophic disappointment. It's just all around pitcher Pitching severe problems with pitching to the point where moscow was the only one left and you start with that but but they are. It's you can't exaggerate. How much hype. There was about them an off spending the money. They're going forward. Everything's great you know. And no it hasn't worked out. And they and they have the misfortune of being in in that division. You know the take the record and put it in the nfl east. And they're battling for first place their game behind outland. Instead of fifteen games behind san francisco we can always play that game in baseball divisions at the if they missed the playoffs. Guys i'm telling you. Aj prell is going to have some split into two ship in san diego because they were at all in win now chaim and again. We talked about this the other day. Mitch what were we talking about. All of april. The dodgers the padres. Oh good there's another dodgers padres series. Having having said all that mike their battle now maybe more with cincinnati than anybody else a hundred percent if they edge. Yeah and the cardinals but they've got they've got a few games in the cardinals But if they edge out cincinnati and they get into that wildcard spot. And then as you point out one game you know. This is what baseball is going to be. You can go from being on the lip of of getting. Everybody fired too. You know making it in to the wildcard by by the skin of your teeth winning.

"Every day most days, Josh macrey. Josh lot to get to today. Yes. There is BUSTER like I said in my previous video this morning on Twitter yesterday, kind of an odd. A only two guests Keith had to fill in at the last minute. We were kind of scrambling a little bit we through power ten in there. But today we are locked and loaded a lot going on today. So I'm excited about it. Yeah. Can't wait to hear from Deir Gould covers the Saint Louis cardinals for the Saint Louis post dispatch about that team, which might be the best nationally. We're going to be talking with AJ Hinch the Astros manager about a lot of the trends that are going on with hitters in baseball. I news notes. The Dave Roberts dodgers manager updated reporters on the status of AJ Pollock played as with AJ what happened last night. So the latest with AJ is is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. And they are going to take the hardware from plate. Whatever else is in there from his twenty six thousand surgery. So how it happened in Chicago bumped his arm hit his arm, his elbow? And there was a the Bursa infection was created. And so, you know, if it was if it was on his if he didn't have surgery. It's something that you can just treat with antibiotics, but the now when you're baking in the fact that there's hardware it's it's from prehistory infection. So that's the point of going in there. And so tomorrow, the surgery to take up hardware, the structure of the bone is is fine is in a good place. That's a good thing. As far as recovery. We just don't have a time line right now. And that is the bottom line Alana Rizzo with that question on spectrum sports net. LA the dodgers don't know for sure when Pollock will be back. They played the giants yesterday. Can you share about your bullpen? They've they've been touted all season as great, but tonight really putting their money where their mouth is pitching through airs and some rough spots in the game. Been obviously, really good all year and those guys have done such a nice job of being complete unit at the field and off the field and. It's showing up when they're out there on the mount last question. I know everyone is tweet, but you seem to be a little sweeter against the dodgers. You're able to take the steer the series in. What was it difficult home? How much does that shift the momentum for you guys had into Cincinnati definitely helps you know? It's seger. We haven't played well in Cincinnati..

"Not a place where the opposing pitcher bettas could just take a deep breath. All right. I've got a couple of guys I can work through here and get some outs. This is a deep line if that had some link to. Look back one strike pitch in Pollock skies. This one foul out of play off to the right reaches. The first row the top level where a fan dropped it. It falls down below to the club level the second level here at Coors field. Oh, a to count on AJ Pollock. Rovan to hear the dodgers went last night. Seger away from second bed essentially over now upright with the Senate and apologised bounce toward short. Trevor story gloves. Look Seger back to second. And he throws out Pollock at first base. And there's one away. That's chat is. Indeed in another good read there. We saw Cody Bellinger on second base earlier ball hit to his right? Got back to second base Seger there. And that's not Celtic. Just automatically happens. You have to work on that during batting practice. When you take your round, and you go around the bases there different things that you do each base. First base might be hit and run second. You're getting reads off the bat, you're looking at balls like that. So it's just training your nervous system to react when it's gametime. It's pretty cool to see these guys doing it. Right. Here's Bellinger doubled. And scored the second bettas delivers.

"For sure. And I, you know, stuff like, you know, just where those spikes that had the fanatic outta me. Also walked in with your Suthers, a cool P shirt with it was like a fanatic in gritty that horrendous red headed wires math. They were like folded up a Bank, or they at least had like machine guns or something, you know. To ominous tough like that. So anyway, it was I mean, he he clearly has some, you know, feel for what that market will will embrace. Yeah. And I can't wait to to see that see the by play between Bryson the fans when we're there as you mentioned on Saturday and Sunday. Okay. Overreaction number two. The dodgers. You can't stop them. You can only hope to contain them to steal a line. Look, I mean, the party I found so funny is they they were really in the off season their front office in their organization was very dedicated towards situational hitting situational hitting and, you know, take your situational hitting and whatever with the ball going over that. I know it's it was amazing. I was you know, like at yesterday at one point, I, you know, we've got into a bunch of different goods things. And I was like can I finish the story? I mean, I'm in the middle of a really good story. And you guys keep hitting home runs. Like, let me just finish my story here. I great story about joining the velo every opening day, right to know to mom, he hand rights and tells her how much he loves her. You know, how much heard he said that is a great line. He said how much our DNA is all over his love for the game. And you know, what I'm trying to tell this story. And and it's just. It's a rocket show. Yeah. Exactly stop. Interrupting me. I'm curious to see if you a feel for this. I was some of the moves they made. Yes. Of course, they trade away. They bring in AJ Pollock and one thing that I definitely got a feel for from folks within that organization. They're trying to help with the stability the day-to-day stability of their lineup. It's part of the reason why they you know, they had some great moments where the dodgers, and then there'd be some days, there'd be some weeks where he kinda would disappear into this funk, whereas bats, very good in his attention span wasn't always the greatest and that was part of this thing. Look, we we want a more consistent pro. Group of players on a day to day basis. Did you have a feel for that? When you're on the dodgers. There's no question. And again there there's there's intention, you know, like, it's, you know, one of the statistical things that kind of backs that up is is when you look at their offense last year. They led the league the National League in runs. They scored ten or more more times than anyone they scored eight or more. I think second most. But then here's the interesting thing. And this is something that they focused on in terms of scoring five or more. I think they were seventh or eighth in the league. And in two thousand seventeen they were first. So there was a lot of real tens and eight meaning, you know, extremes. But. Statistically, at least those the the team the year before that didn't scores. Many runs was actually more consistent. And that's something that they really. Yeah. That they really up the sizing spring training, and they want more of this year because any doubt. Overreaction number three Chris sale. It's time to panic. I was at that game yesterday quote of our coverage. He came out in the first inning. He threw ninety four miles per hour by the third inning velocity had dropped significantly. When I interviewed Alex core of in the middle of the game..

No, you cannot you got to know somebody you gotta know somebody and to get into the fifth row doing exercise. If you didn't restaurants, he what it would cost to get into the fifth row at a Laker game. It is astronomical. Yes. Even now even with the team cratering. It's astronaut. Yup. So so that's a great prize. Hopefully, you can win it. But you've gotta listen closely every day. Yup. I who's this guy that has a name like the auto, Dan, Zimba sqi. So Dan is with fan graphs. Do you know who Dan Samborn ski is? I've heard of him writer. He invented a projection model called zips. Okay. Named after the Z is for Zamboni ski. Okay. And so what I've done is. I've found like Prokhoda prediction the coda predict both individual players. Okay. So dodgers opening day is Thursday March the twenty eighth that's early now earlier than we're asked to it's always small baseball. So I've got twenty two days. It's three weeks. Yeah. So I've got the dodgers starting lineup projected starting lineup. Okay. Along with their zips projections. Okay. So I've got what are you wanting to you? Tell me what you want to know what? I'll guess. Okay. So AJ Pollock will lead off and play centerfield. What do you want me to guess average home runs slugging? What are you guys? Okay. Average home. I'm right predict AJ Pollick is going to hit two seventy with twenty six homers and eighty four RBI's. Greg. That's that's pretty spot on. It's really good. I'm gonna say. To greater or Steve or any of those numbers? So we'll give Gregor fighting shits way off or am. I pretty close on all three your way off on home runs and RBI. Okay. So they don't send Eighty spa. six and eighty four so essay yellower. Well, that's thank you, John. Gonna go go you were talking about. Oh, that's right on. But you're right. It's Greg go too high to sixty five fifteen home runs and sixty five home runs sixty five. Listen, Jay gateway just say, Florida to sixty four sixteen homers and sixty five RBI on it by this is very close. You did have the additional guidance you go first on this one. This is an interesting one Cory Seager who is coming off of surgery and missing all of last year. Cory seager. Batting average home runs RBI's. He should be batting in the second hole. All season long to eighty twenty six home runs seventy nine RBI's. All right or any of those numbers way off way off on home runs. Okay. I think Seger is gonna hit you said to eighty to eighty. I think it's in a little higher than that. I'll say to ninety five I will say. Thirty home runs and. Eighty two RBI's. You guys are both high on home runs to eighty one seventeen homers seventy seven RBI's. At seventy nine on Harvey is right. You're right in the ballpark. Not on home runs. OJT JT this year. John. To seventy seven. Twenty eight homers ninety RBI's you guys apparently think this is the biggest home run hitting team in baseball. You wanna take a shot? It's going to be I got three. Oh one. Nineteen home runs and about eighty RBI's. You guys are to Ninety-one fifteen homers and sixty RBI's with an eight fourteen homers. That'd be really low for him. Yeah. He's right. Usually in that twenty ranch, right? Got him with an eight forty eight. Oh PS. Okay. So third. This is the way I've penciled out the lineup. I've got Muncie or freeze in the cleanup spot. So not Bellinger, not Bellinger. I've got Bellinger batting fifth. Could obviously be the the other way. Muncie had a dynamic first year when the Najjar ten hit a bunch of homers..

I'm I'm gonna take the guy. That's the latest ADP and the one who's got the longest track record of health outside of the injury. Shortened season in two thousand seventeen in Desmond has gotten at least six hundred plate appearances in each season since two thousand thirteen. Away. He'll run into the wall in center field. I didn't even realize what a what an injury riddled group. This was I age. Alex in it. It is it is three guys who regularly, and then indust- who's pretty pretty steady there as much as crafts on in Desmond. He's had twenty twenty season in five of the last seven years. It's really really stable production in the counting stats he still playing Colorado. Ian, Desmond is easy answer air. They're paying their playing. There's no doubt about that. Welch? What do you think? Do you agree with with just on that? When are you going to route? I mean, I think Desmond is definitely the option of these guys is good. I'm gonna leave. We'll Myers for someone else. Probably bopping talk because I know. He loves Myers. I will talk about AJ Pollock. I'll take. Hates politics. Would I I was trying to make boggling talk about him because he would just say I suck. I hate them to give thoughts on Pollick becoming a dodger. Now in what he can. Maybe do if they can sprinkle a little health on him because you know, they'll probably rest here and there to try to keep them healthy dust what PD's? But what should we talk? I mean, I think where we got with him in two thousand fifteen don't take that as expectation, of course. But take that is like a blueprint for where we're at. I'm actually kinda surprised that he didn't get the big dodger bump it almost to me. You could tell me if I'm wrong it almost felt like when the dodgers didn't get Bryce Harper people. Like, okay now, I can like chill out on my dodgers a little bit here because he's not going to come here and boost up. Everybody's value. I feel like a lot of dodgers are kinda undervalued. And it's gross to talk about is someone likes the diamondback tracked down a little bit. You've got Seger who's fallen back for obvious injury reasons. But I think Pollick is a twenty twenty guy. I know going around one eight, but I think because of the injury stuff people want to end up passing on him. And you get guys like Aloi Jimenez, you get Aaron Hicks. We can talk about you know, there's another guy that could passback Peralta might be going ahead. But I think Pollick is still a dynamic player. It's similar to Kershaw in the fact that like he's got to be on the field. And I know that's the big thing holding back. It's not the. Production. So for me, I've got a hard time falling off of players at the talent. Is there and the only question is injury. Where it's not like. Yeah. The production has really tapered back while also being hurt. That's just don't think that's the case. So I think he could be in line for twenty twenty in a prime spot with the dodgers competing all season long for the good average. So I like Pollock. Yeah. I mean, I feel you on that. That's basically one of my driving theories in fantasy is draft the skills when when they're even with health being absent and.

"And in that timeframe Pollock has a one seventeen eighty p the thirty second outfielder off the board are Boyle Myers. Just ahead of him and up and comer Illinois Jimenez, just behind him, which is interesting because. He figure Illo Jimenez is going to miss time due to not being called up yet. So he can have a similar playing time or even maybe a little bit more. If he's called up you know couple of weeks into the season. And Pollock misses the time that we expect do you like that you mentioned Price Little high? What do you think of that range of the guys that are around him though? That's an interesting ranch because we'll Mayer has the exact same problem. Correct. If he stays on the field. I think you can be a monster. And if Pollock's field, I think he can be a monster too. So. That's probably fair. It's they're going behind him that I think prefer like David Peralta seems primly. Underrated. And I in with clear lake us on of actually pointed out to me because he was all like wise, David Peralta going so late, and I was like because he's David Peralta because we'll do the math on it. And I kind of older too. Yeah. People just don't like him that much. Yeah. Well, I think he's just not a sexy option power aggressive a little bit. Like he still going to exceed where he's going and draft. So these batting average guy too. And I love that one thing. Whether it's parental last year was batting average late because he was going much later than this. You know, obviously on the heels of a breakout thirty Homer season for Peralta. He has moved up. But I still think he hasn't moved up commensurate with his skills. I agree with you that he's intriguing profess my love for Aaron Hicks million times. He's going little bit. After pollock. Also an injury concerned. Type of guy. I would rather just have Hicks between the two the kind of similar, and so it's basically personal preference. I will admit that there's not a major difference, and you are dreaming on six hundred appearances for Pollick or Hicks as a as going season. If the same spa seven. I don't think it's necessary a bad spot. Do the price will go up signing with the dodgers as a part in. So I'm trying to I should probably look them in a draft Champions League right now. And you're doing very well. And by the way, I love my team. But I'm sure Pollick is already gone. We just entered the robot halfway through the ninth round. So. Yeah, AJ Pollock went in the seventh-round K so fifth. That's what like seventy five. That's right in line with. No seventh-round that'd be about a one hundred. Yes. Oh. Moving up like you said we have a seventeen one seventeen eighty p for Politika based on this data context. Like earlier team context, if your if you have a bunch of stable guys in your offense ahead of him than than you're not worried about injury guys and things like that. Like, you don't have like, Lorenzo Cain. And you're you know, guys guys who probably gonna miss some time here and there then Pollock's probably worth the gamble..

"Take on the patriots, airfare hotel and tickets. So stick around don't go anywhere that can happen at any given moment Munich times were thankful to have her today. Of course. And with baseball news. The dodgers Jeff passan our buddy ESPN insider will stop by. Now, I Jeff so AJ Pollock to the dodgers. I know last time you were on you told me that forget about Bryce Harper. So I have sort of I'm still very upset about this. But I've moved on sort of. But Pollock what do you make of the Pollock deal? Clearly, George you've moved on by the fact that you started our conversation completely lamenting DOD so exactly doesn't feel like he moved on very much, buddy. I you know, what I like the politial if AJ Pollock can stay healthy. And that has been a question through. Out his time in the big leagues. This is not somebody who for the last three years has played more than one hundred twelve games a season, and as much depth as the dodgers have they can deal with it. If he gets hurt and at twelve million dollars a season, the price was absolutely right. Because it allows the dodgers to stay under the competitive balance tax threshold, and that's something that they clearly want to do. But no, it's not Bryce Harper. And I if if your feelings on the dodgers are that they need another superstar in that lineup. Clearly, Bryce Harper was the person who you wanted them to chase this off season. That's just never been in their plans. And even if the price on him dropped, which may very well. I still don't think the dodgers as run by Andrew Friedman are the type of team to go out there and spend thirty plus million dollars on a guy like that. Now. No one hour, and I don't maybe a different story. You know, Francisco Lindor when he is free. Agency, Mookie Betts if he does Mike trout if he does. Yeah. Those are thirty plus million dollars a year guys who they can latch onto. But they don't see Bryce Harper in the way that I think a lot of other teams in the public perceptionist, which is someone who's one of the best players in baseball chance here. Right. He has been complaining about it nonstop. And it's really it's like, you know, like the guy in high school who wants the prettiest girl looked at me in any graduates and thirty years later, he's still thinking about it. That's George talking Bryce Harper three years from now it'll be lamenting that Bryce Harper was never dodger. I like this deal as we want to know were you the guy who was thinking that he should have gotten the prettiest girl and never did. And still thinks about her thirty years later. No, my wife's beautiful. So I already cheat. Some good. I want to ask you though about like the dodgers off season as a whole, I guess 'cause doors isn't alone. There is I think a sense in this town that why didn't we do more? This is our chance we should be going all in just spending like crazy, like how do you view the decisions and the moves made as a whole now that politics in the full? The happen done a whole lot. Really, you know, you look at the deal that brought Homer Bailey's dead contract and a couple of prospects. And they ended up shipping. Alex would feel queasy and Matt Kemp, you know, three guys who were productive for them last season out of town, but it sort of dovetails with the fact that the dodgers greatest strength is their death. And in the latest part of this in the part that I think that doesn't get explored enough is that the dodgers are in such a mediocre division. Right now that they almost don't feel like they have to go out and improve themselves significantly to win the National League West. And this is an axiom that goes throughout baseball. It's not just in Los Angeles. But if you ask thirty GM's twenty five of them are going to agree with it. And it's that once you get to the playoffs. It's kind of a crashing. And I understand that. The dodgers bullpen, for example, has been a great week. Nece I think signing Joe Kelley gives them a legitimate weapon..

"And maybe we could fold the answer in the same one year Jayson stark. But there's gotta be something baseball have the NBA. Everybody wants to sign quickly and the first week of July is huge for the NBA in the first week of March everybody in the NFL signs quickly or within the first few days, and it's huge for the NFL baseball has none of that. And two of their biggest stars deciding where they're going to go, and it's just like one big mosh pit where we're all sitting waiting around. I have no idea when the world's gonna change right. And I I think it's a real problem for the sport. Because you know, one of the things that's made the NBA especially with the NFL to. In recent years. Is there such star driven sports and in baseball when great players reached the market, they're not being celebrated. This is just agonizing. I wrote about it a week or so ago when Barry Bonds signed with the giants would it think of Barry Bonds. Now, they're -tendance went up by over a million. That's what stars do. And that part of the discussion has really been lost here. This is been a big battle of analytics and agents trying to to make history with their clients. And you know, there's just a lot of internal subplots that pushed this into just an interminable marathon. And I don't think it's good for them. I don't think it's good for the sport. It's not even going to be that good for the teams that sign a because they've blown through the entire season ticket buying period. And haven't done anything. Well, AJ Pollock is look like he's going to hook up with the dodgers. Jason does that mean that they're out of the Harper game or doesn't matter or can affiliates actually, still get both or the White Sox getting both? You know what I mean? Like, both divers I do believe that Bryce has waited around to see if the dodgers could get creative and this is reflection. That's not going to happen. But I think we've known for while it's not going to happen. You know, I think that Bryce winds up falling Phillies because they're the one team still left at a price point that they're interested in. But just not the check Khalas Denton historic contract. Price point many at least has options, you know, he still has the Phillies he sold the White Sox. I am totally convinced that there is a mystery team. And you know, I I tried everything I know in lavas had figure out who that is. But there's there's traffic in that lane. Bryce, I don't send a lot of traffic at the years in dollars. That's got bores has been looking for. So just hang in there, man. Yankees are out with LeMay, Hugh and tool wits though, right on Machado that that those those implicity weakness. Order ever say the Yankees are completely app because I do think many if everything else were equal want to be there. I don't know. What would happen if he if he came to them, and Dan Lozano and said, this is where I wanna be doing on your terms, it it it's probably too late as chanted too late. But if the Yankees, we've faith surprises many times a lot of people have marched up to the the podium trying on that Yankee shirt that you never thought would Ke's France in Cooperstown. And as you could hear his just a good guy who's who's made good in his in his career. You see what I'm saying? Like, I don't know what baseball can do here by putting a back end. Like when the when when they have their winter meetings in Vegas this time around an MLB network shows up, and they have their studio shows from there and all the general managers and all the agents of there. That's when we should see Harper Machado sign like right there. Let's get the big burst of December activity for major league baseball where we're all talking about it. "This modern day major league baseball twenty nine hundred. You're not going through roster twenty seven twenty eight guys. You gotta have wall round the roster. Brodie van wagon and to his credit has made that a priority. Now have they gone the extra mile for Machado or Harper? I know some of you are going to say why not AJ Pollock is opposed to Jeddah Lowry. All that's fair. Even for myself because of the injuries. Mets have made themselves better baseball team. The problem. You may have though is if you see Bryce Harper back in DC new see, let's say Manny Machado in Philadelphia. Then you're gonna wonder how much of the good work that they've gone here in this season is to basically be I don't know. Still with the Mets, but the far better, and you're gonna not this general our remove. Here's my question here. Is he one of your three or four best hitters on opening that? Yes. Or no. In fact, we're going to go by the stats last year. Probably be the second best center in the melanoma might be the best about lineup. Dacca play. Two years twenty million dollars even though he didn't feel necessarily a position in aid. For me. That's a no-brainer signing. So you got a big high about a jets you've got an under the radar really good signing by the Mets, and it may overshadow what we have going on this weekend, which one of my favorite weekends of the NFL year. It's really the last real weekend football. You got the double dip Saturday double dip Sunday when it comes to the divisional round and five lopsided game. I don't think you do it out the surface. All forties games, a juicy. All these games are intriguing. It starts Saturday four thirty. As you walk. Any surging? Indianapolis Colts going into Kansas City to take on the chiefs the colts right now have an identity day are tough on the offensive line quarterback is playing great defense is coming on. And they're no food. They're legit scary contender in the AFC. Even though they will want to start the year f- achieves. We know what they are offensive minded team. It's about their star quarterback. Who's the MVP the league and the homes? It's about hill. It's about Kelsey. But he's we elect about Kansas City, the playoff demons and Arrowhead stadium. Haven't won a home game since the early nineteen ninety s in the postseason in that building. Despite the advantage. It gives them in a regular season where things happen to the chiefs and weird things happen to Andy Reid this time of the year. That'll be interesting to watch and how can Kansas City slowed down that coal running game and at chorale pounds on everybody. Then you got Dallas ride high. Going into LA take on Iran's Steve that fell on their face last year. When Sean McVay company had their first playoff game. Branch weekdays defensively stop at around. What is Dallas love to do it? Douse alive on the dog in this game. Dak Prescott takes care of the football. And the Dallas defense can throw some wrinkles Jared Goff. Not only do I think they covered a number. I think they can have a legitimate chance to beat the Rams. This is a four better match up. Then it would have been going down to New Orleans to take on the state. So Dallas in L is a fun game on Saturday. Then you go to Sunday gave it a week in my opinion. The chargers in the patriots. Because the chargers have the most talent out of anybody in the AFC. But Tom Brady owns Philip rivers Brady and Belichick on money at home. Come january. Let stadium. And it's not gonna be this year for Philip rivers. Then what? He's got best teams the AFC. And then a final game at a division around. Curious in. I'm sure you're wondering will the magic. For Nick foles continue. If the eagles go down to the by you. In the Super Bowl with that raucous atmosphere. At beat the New Orleans Saints that may just get the statue right next to Balboa ready for their false. He's already a call here on this down a win Sunday takes that to another level. The eagles all of a sudden have found something foles a quarterback defense playing better member New Orleans smoked of midway through the year smoke. The have the eagles closed the gap enough to not only keep this game competitive. But they're I say what our. That would be the most stunning outcome of the weekend..

"The main thing is the dodgers have realized we need to make a change. They clear out all the salary. And now it could be Bryce Harper. It could be a AJ Polly. It could be Corey kluber. Here's the big thing. I'm in the throw this out there. What's better to spend all the money on Bryce Harper. The big sticking point is Harper still wants a ten year contract. The dodgers don't want to give them ten years from twenty. How about we spread it out over like thirty years? Get a Bobby Baena deal Bryce Harper or AJ Pollock and Corey kluber. What is the better move for the dodgers Bryce Harper or AJ Pollock Corey kluber? Give me the second one is one as well. Because you know, we looked you get all they enough Bryce Harper kits. Great. It's sexy Bryce Harper will help sell LA even more now that LeBron is all the dodgers may not want to lose any kind of relevancy to him there'd be playing into the playoffs. Now, suddenly it could be a Laker town. Again, they want it to be the dodgers. I can see the allure of Bryce Harper. But the allure of him is better than the reality of him. He's a guy that's not one hundred runs a grand total of once. It has major league baseball career. He can hit two forty like he's done two of the last three years. He misses a lot of times the guy gets Hirsch. Now. The other part is AJ Pollock and Corey kluber. Yes. Pollick? Is at his injury issues as well. But Pollock is a really good outfielder and Corey kluber is one of the top three pitchers in all of baseball. And if you'd say, what are the dodgers need more a really great pitcher like one of the top three pitchers in baseball of Bryce Harper. The answer is Corey kluber.
