Now they're making the rules because Biden has surrounded himself with the black rock people, so things are going to be very different. Very different. Department is based in Manhattan. So that's kind of like a crazy crazy way and ended up graphic design. You know it's interesting this like A. Maybe it's because I've had so many people on the show that has sort of followed a similar path. But there's like this pipeline between Howard and Hampton to Pratt University Institute. I should say sorry Pratt Institute. There's like this pipeline where people will start out at one of those two schools for Undergrad for design and then ended up going to pret-. Did you find that there were a lot of Howard folks when you were there? There are a couple of hours folks and there were some Hampton folks to one of my best buddies are Howard was sorry one of us. What he's proud was was Hampton grand. I think we need to stop the Hampton pipeline. I'M GONNA be more people from Hampton Brat that's Hampton joke for folks that don't know and just to be clear on Air Howard. University is a real issue. I don't care anybody tell your Howard University is the real issue is got to be clear about that. I mean I went to Morehouse so I don't know if I really have anything to say in this whole conversation but I'll let you hear that one. Okay you've witnessed the turf wars so how was different from Howard aside from it being graduates? Undergrad how was it different? Man I mean it's I don't even know other explained it? They were so completely different experiences. I mean I you know Howard I lived in the dorms and Howard was very very different at pride I i. I live in an apartment. I worked a lot while I was in school so I didn't really worked full time when I was in. Undergrad but I worked almost full time when I was in my master's program so it was a very very very different experience like working and I lived in Brooklyn when I was up. Pratt and I would commute to Manhattan to go to class so it was a very very different very different experience. As far as the classroom. Makeup was of course very different. "Things didn't seem to be on track to turn around for CNN as the networks special townhall event with House Speaker. Nancy Pelosi on Vitucci announced that in articles of impeachment against President trump were being drafted only weighed one point six million viewers and four hundred ten thousand envy demo on Thursday night well behind Fox News and MSNBC both categories all data courtesy of Nielsen Media. Research I had no idea she was at a town hall. I had no idea she did that. It's like the the only thing I heard was that she filed articles of impeachment. And at this point it's like what you she didn't already. That's most people's response survey. They didn't already file articles of impeachment. And so now not been anyone here. Probably why even watches Fox News. But I've found Vincent Anyway so next this is Clinton Hillary Clinton went on Howard. We're at stern show. And I believe me or someone else but it was well I'll give credit where credit's due. I I if I play the audio on this show. But was revenge of assists guys. They played played visa. Leaked audio of Howard. Stern addressing like interns and he told them to make fake twitter accounts and bug celebrities like unused lady Gaga is an example which shows how out of touch she is thinking that you know in the via past the late odds but lady Gaga still somewhat relevant to his viewers saying that. He's losing he's losing relevance and so it's so it's not a surprise but he gets Hillary Clinton on. I think it was a smart move. A lot of people are talking about it. I'm talking about it so here. Two Days Ago Hillary Clinton fuels twenty twenty speculation talking trump pass romances in wild Howard Stern interview. Oh yes why Hillary Rick Linton while. Oh Yeah. Glen sat down to shock jock. Howard Stern wrote a what has been in a wig? Howard stern for the first time ever on Wednesday fueling speculation relation that she could launch another White House bid well making headlines on everything from her sexual preferences to how she felt during president? Trump's inauguration the failed two thousand sixteen for a Democratic presidential nominee told stern that watching her political nemesis get sworn in was painful but she felt an obligation to attend as former first lady. I went to the inauguration of Donald Trump which was on one of the hardest days of life. She said obviously I was crushed. I was disappointed and I was really surprised because I couldn't figure figure out what had happened. The interview was a coup of sorts for stern who had written in his most recent book. Howard stern comes again which I don't think anyone's ever heard I didn't even we know he's still writing books earlier this year but he regretted not being able to Clinton as a guest in the past stole Clinton but she would have been a spectacular president? Libertarian always does he call himself a libertarian. You mentioned that before Ian. He has in the past. I believe natural. It's like well you know I'm a live and let live guy unless you're doing doing something I don't like and then I fully support the state destroying you. That's what it's like. I remember my sister. She's like look I'm a live and let live person. And it's like okay. Well until you want the government to do something thing and then you're you're you're you're totally fervid. Republicans or Democrats were and not just her and particulates. Many people call themselves Libertarians. While Clinton seventy two has downplayed chances. Chances of a twenty twenty rhino. She did the opposite of it. She has not ruled it. Out In recent interviews New York Post columnist Maureen Callahan argued at Clinton's appearance on Stern. Show was the the strongest indicator yet but the former first lady is pondering at twenty twenty rematch. Stern publicly begged hillary to appear during the two thousand sixteen campaign campaign after Donald Trump wants. Stern said one guest shot could've moved the needle her way. Kevin don't flatter yourself Air Howard Callahan road. One could only ask why now if she has no plans to run yet again. The drudge report even included Clinton in a poll asking who readers felt. We'll be the two thousand twenty nominee on Thursday following. Her appearance on Stern Clinton said trump was surprised but he pulled off the upset on election. Day Back in two thousand sixteen and could barely talk talk when she called him to concede well. I mean I'm sure he was sure he was surprise. He's like Whoa. You Know Clinton's Clinton's cheating machine gene didn't didn't steal the election from him. He was more shocked than me. I think she said political satirist and columnist. Tim Young. Who who recently dare Clinton to run again? Thinks that she is called board and loves attention but could she should just start a podcast then but no she would lose a rematch. Despite to high profile media appearance if not she would have already declared that she's running. I would never say. Never say never on her but Hillary has to know about her live. Tour failed that no amount of national media including Howard. Stern can help her win. An election young told Fox News interview focus on twenty twenty two thousand sixteen election at at one point. Stern said he wished she would have embarrassed trump when she was thank. You would've bear trump when she was sharing debate stages by asking him to point out specific civic countries on a map that would I mean. I'm sure most most likely a both audience. The entire audience wouldn't have known where to put it like something like where is per Kina foucault about something more difficult. Although a certain host of Free Talk Live didn't know that France and Germany shared a border. So I'm sure that actually okay. I'll say you know Hillary's able to point out where countries. She's aren't a map because she's most likely bombed them. Try to stabilize him at some point. So that's about the only reason why she knows it's like someone's like you know. Vincent how do you know of his geography. And I'm like oh well it's because I invaded invaded..

"Sort of stack them on a meter yardstick from poorest richest, you would find the fulcrum right in the middle right at half a meter teen inches, but if you were to try to find the fulcrum based on wealth shares where fifty percent was on one side. And fifty percent was on another about a centimeter and a half from the right? That's where the fulcrum is. And that's where moderates and centrists have found the balance point is balancing the economic interests of the insanely rich the top one percent against the economic interests of everyone else. And so things like raising the minimum wage materially. They think of as being radical left, but. But nothing could be farther from the truth. When you when you enact economic policies that benefit the broad majority of citizens, the people in the middle or even in the upper two-thirds decibels that's not radical lefty, that's true centrism, and this this so-called moderation of just making rich people richer and throwing the occasional bone to poor people is nothing to do with moderation or centrism. It simply a kinder gentler Neo liberalism away to maintain the status quo and keep rich people getting richer and everybody else getting poor. And so these super popular ideas like a seventy percent marginal tax rate on incomes above ten million dollars or a tax on wealth above fifty million or whatever it is to fund all the things that actually sustain the economy in the middle class. Yes. Those are truly centrist they benefit the broad majority of people and they're wildly popular. And so what I've been arguing that Elizabeth Warren is the true centrist this. This dynamic new congresswoman, we have who we all. A oh see now, the she is the true centrist and my fellow Jillian air Howard Schultz from Seattle the guy. Starbucks who's just announced his his his intention to run for president on one of these vicious trickle down policy agendas. He's not a centrist. He's he's just an old fashioned you'll liberal, but not a nativist and racist. Which is what we find in the Republican party today. Now, let me ask you some questions, which I think our listeners will would like to your onto particularly because you'll relatively wealthy and these some of the national objections that people would make to some of the proposals that we've heard from UC and from Elizabeth Warren, the first is isn't it unfair that you'll losing seven dollars out of every ten dollars? You didn't isn't that. Just like don't you to keep a bit more of that? Tom people might say, it's just it's just it's just kind of way out of whack. In terms of the amount that you'll having to give up. Yeah. Okay. So to be clear, you wouldn't have to give up any of that money until you hit ten million dollars in income. Yeah. So so I can tell you definitively that ten million dollars of annual income will allow you to live a pretty good life. Can say that from personal experience. I guess I can and not getting to keep the majority of the hundred million dollars. You earn every year may be seen by some as unfair. But you know, what's even more unfair is to be born into a family that can't afford to feed your house, you that's that's also super unfair. And I could list a litany of other things that are more agreed Asli unfair than an enormously wealthy person having to give up a majority of their income to support to help support the rest of society, but the bigger objection that people usually make about those tax rates is it will kill economic growth for everyone you anticipated my next question..

So don't you were talking about suntan? Yeah. What are some other energy things we can do to save electricity because again, we're saving taxes embedded in the electoral sandwich and savings is a is a good thing. Saving kind of guy. Well, one of the things is a lot of people on electron IX, they don't use around their house anymore unplug on unplug a little bit a little bit little bit there. The pool pumps the big one. The other thing you can if you have your yard lights, for example, right? Turn them off at eleven o'clock. And how many people are going to see your house after eleven o'clock at night. Ten o'clock at night. At the time. Yeah. Having come on with a timer on our solar seller with a turn off when it gets dark dark. I mean and in turn off at night. Save a lot of energy energy to think about one thing. We did is we have a new refrigerator. They say it's gonna use like one hundred and eighty nine dollars a year. That's it. Pretty big refrigerator. When the water heater the hybrid water heaters because we got our training room. Yeah. I wanted to or one in debt, and there are three actually now fallen apart in imposes because with removed from the how how old is that? You can see we got we got him and he just seek. Here's the S E artists secrecy there wanted or wants a four ninety fire believe that's what they you said year five twenty five because as they all one on one and the hybrid eight hundred fifty five there was roughly. So that's the end of the monitor you pay for making these work every day. Three hundred sixty five days, you should pay just want fifty five and they're they're more expensive the hybrid, obviously. But what you make us to me if you're gonna stay in your house. What are your ten years twelve years depending on the on the water heater? They come with a ten year parts warranty on on the water heaters. Well, you're gonna save your money back. And so what someone says we start about Aircon? It's even bigger savings ago. Tom, you're pretty smart, I go, I don't know about that. But once it's paid for that money. I save on my hot water Bill is free money paying you pays me money. It's like it's like in in my investments, don't always do that. Will you know? We're Rockefeller say is you want to make money you had to put money up front, really. Call me one morning and ask questions said guy. The big savings is on high efficiency air conditioning or heat pumps as we call it here in Florida. We're coming in the heating season. The heat pumps the XP twenty from train is three to four times more efficient than electric heat. Current and the heat is smooth. It's not on hot. It's just it's just always comfortable in your home. Doesn't dry them out as much about the humidifier shores not so much a humidifier climate. But the humidity is low in the wintertime, you got a couple of weeks of no rain. And so it doesn't dry out your house. And then the big savings is, of course, on cooling and people say, well, Tom, what can I say? But I tell generally speaking, it's thirty percent or more. And I've had a lot of people. Call me by Tom. I'm saving fifty percent of my electrical. But I'm not going to tell you that. 'cause we're gonna lie to you wish rate upcoming regular people real people from central Florida in a real good job. You tell you what it is. And it's really amazing. The extra twenty has the top. That keeps all the junk out of the inside. It's got twenty SEER nineteen point five depending on which tonnage it's or twenty one like wanna have miles. Actually, he's twenty one who's Hector. He hooked me up with them with a with an air. Handler that Twenty-one efficiency wonderful a high Purina handler, which is a really really good air Howard. So what we decided to do in in December. A little different than the marketplace. You know, everybody talks about this that and the other thing they say the cheapest thing out there, and that's not what we do. Because actually twenty expiate expertise from train certainly save you money. So what we did is we are offering to anybody who buys an air conditioner from us. A ring doorbell the door. Now the borough. The pro pro right? In the pro. And it's a good doorbell. It's really sweet it's it's have some cheaper ones. This is a good one. It's a fine product. And in why the ring doorbell pro. Well, one reason why is a lot of deliveries will be made your house's time of the year. And so the ring doorbell you can see what goes on yesterday. I saw the FedEx person come up in a red car stopped in front of my house run on my front door a package off in runaway. And I also knew it was going to be there. I got home because the motion detector detect any more motion. And so you can see and you can talk to the person when it comes to your front door. So I like it simple. It's straightforward. So we're offering a ring doorbell with every air conditioner that people buy and we're gonna put it in for them too. That's true. We're gonna put it put it in set it up for him. Mhm turnkey? One thing is a lot of people do is. They is sometimes one by the air conditioner. Right. When we're there some people don't, and so what we're offering also when you sign up while we're there, we sent a gentleman out to your home that knows all about air conditioning and not not some rookie sales because actually near conditioning person. Oh, by the way, it's pretty good thing. We can find your conditioning, and we have the echo dot it's the generation three. So it's an Alexa for your home is. So if you sign up when we're there I first day, we do the Alexi, and I'd say probably a third plus sign up right away because they know us we've been around a long time in here. So you're saying we're offering we don't raise the price of protected to give you the stuff just something. I think it's something need. I got one for my house. I really like it got one for my mother-in-law towns, really like it. She loves it. She absolutely she's l'amour older than I am. And she can talk to the people see the people really, really. Phone number is four zero seven two nine one one six four four that's four zero seven two nine one one six four four the ring doorbell, and I bought a bunch of them. So, you know, we'll see what did you combine all these gifts tongue rebates? We're talking about twenty five hundred twenty eight hundred dollars up to that point. Because right now train has. Rebate credit card, ruby colored crediting Karoubi to give you a credit card to cache creek credit card. Thank God, eight thousand dollars into experts twenty eight hundred dollars in.

"Seven caller ten right now wins as a decade of MAC and Gaydos. We're giving away a bunch of stuff this week and next week's going to be even better. It's going to be even bigger that's one of the things that we've been discussing throughout the day is that Trump has dropped his civil tone, and he has gone back to ribbon people and this time he decided to slam Brett Kavanagh's accuser's credibility. Well, why didn't she just call the police? Why wouldn't you call the FBI and have this documented, right? He doesn't know or understand why there are many women out there who get assaulted and do not report it. Yeah. There's a hashtag going on social media of women saying here's my story, and the hashtag why didn't report and guys it's more than you would think. And that is the shocking part of all of this is that if you're a guy no matter how old you are. There are more people who have been sexually assaulted, then you would ever think that don't report for for a number of reasons. Yeah. You can come up with one hundred reasons and Trump doesn't understand that. Right. So he decided just to rip this woman. Listen, I don't know if she's telling the truth or line. I don't know. I don't know Kavanagh's telling the truth or lying. I don't know. But what I do know is there's a reason why women don't report their assault. And so we did earlier today is we took calls from women who were assaulted. And we said can you share with us? Why you did not report it take a listen. Hi, tracy. You are in Peoria, why did you not share or or tell anybody, Tracy? There were two different occasions when I was fifteen years old and one was not as harsh as what miss court is accusing cavenaugh us. And the reason I didn't report is because it wasn't that big of a deal. The other was much worse. Same or different people different people different times. The second time. I didn't know who the person was. And I didn't report because I didn't want to be put on on trial for you know, like what were you wearing? And that kind of thing you didn't want to go to court, right? This was in the eighties there late eighties. Do you regret that decision at all? My biggest regret in not reporting. The second incident is that I don't know. And I will never know if he went on to commit the same act on someone else. Yeah. If I would ever reported it and prevented that then that that they're in Iraq. Right. Was it? Also, the point of no one would believe me like you would really have to struggle to prove or for people in a courtroom to believe your story did that ever come out or did that ever come up. Yes. That was a that was a fear, and I was fifteen. So, you know, you just don't think clearly about age about all of their repercussions. You just don't want to put your family through anything. You don't wanna go through anything have to relive the event. Thank you, Tracy. Thank you, Tracy. Okay. So we have a long list of why women don't report an assault. And we've heard it's a shame issue. One woman told us well back thirty years ago. It wasn't talked about or women were expected to do what guys wanted even if I didn't. I don't wanna put my family through this. Right. He was a popular student in high school. We heard that two or the family will say we don't want the public spotlight on us. So or lease door reported the girl woman does not want Caribbean a courtroom to have to relive the whole thing. So excuse me, Mr President. There are a lot of different reasons. Why women do not report this kind of stuff? It's not so easy as you said. Well, why didn't you just call the police that's just heartless, and it's too bad because he actually was handling the whole situation like an adult, and then he turned into a toddler today on Twitter. There's a story. I don't know. If you saw this story, there's a story out of Minnesota. A a state Representative who's running for re election. His daughter has come out and said that my dad did inappropriate stuff with me. And she has said I went to the police a number of years ago. And they just didn't believe me. So now, she is had to come out again and say, I'm an adult. I'm going to. I'm a woman. Now, this stuff is what I'm accusing my dad of and the cops didn't believe me. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stay silent. Good for her good for her. And I think, you know, just to go back to the situation with cavenaugh in his accuser, we can't say it enough. We don't know what happened. We don't know who to believe usually I take the woman's side. And if I had to make a decision, I would take the accuser side because that's what I usually do, you know, when I got to tell you. I just don't know in this in this specific case, I don't know. But you're not alone in that. There's a new poll that poll is coming out has come out about Kavanagh's nomination. Forty one percent say we don't want him as the nominee, which is the most the highest number since they started polling supreme court nominees. Forty one percent say we don't want this guy. Thirty percents say we want this guy. Yeah. So that's one of the first polls that I saw. So I think you know of hearing all this stuff about what happened in high school to this woman. If in fact, it happened we took calls some women called and said they were salted in high school. I gotta tell you. If if you have a daughter have a talk with her this weekend about going to parties. About being alone with a boy about saying no about saying, no. And by the way, have a talk with your son. Absolutely. When you get to those high school years have a talk with your son to listen, this is what is appropriate. This is what you do if she says. No, you say, no. And I think that that as parents we all have to have that talk maybe out of this whole situation. Yeah, we can have that talk with boys and girls. Absolutely. All right. Coming up. We've got new information on the deadline. Has the Senate or the Senator the judiciary commission. Have they heard from Dr Ford ultimatum? Yeah. The new information is the ultimatum. And what does that mean for Dr Ford and Cavanaugh we'll tell you about that next. Soonest? DT three s. Hey, join me tonight, as we talk about cavenaugh, what's next for doctor Ford will they won't they plus the straw, man. What is that? And rod Rosenstein, were you really joking. The Chad Benson show tonight at six right after MAC and Gaydos on Arizona's news station. KTAR news ninety two three FM and the KTAR news app. Hey, just remember just towards the end of September. Just because it's towards the end of September. Doesn't mean that the heat is gone. It doesn't mean you're going to stop using your air conditioning unit. It could be October twenty fifth. You're probably still going to be using your AC. So always keep in mind. Howard air. Howard air is the company that I use Howard air.

It's a Friday, and you have to call these people in their off. They're going to be off for the season in about three weeks. Yes. And covered the damn feel. Hold on. I got George George satellite out. He's not happy by George. How are you? Were you go into that game last night? Game with my. No, I paid the park. Seventeen. They waited for everybody to get their divider scene, which appears spider base rate part. And then cancel. Now, I. I don't think that I honestly believe that the groundskeeper had was in such a panic. He was he was convinced. He was going to get that feeling. I'm sitting there was right when I sat down with my son, I said, but you got more power not seen game aren't dumber to you. There's no way. Call. At at six fifty. Wow. Disgrace that is bad. From the Phillies. How do they do? George how much would you say decides are they parking the eating? We don't I stash. Jr. Got the full ballpark. Passport says. Us. Right here. My son Kadam so at five bucks. At eighteen dollars to park in my mind, twenty three dollars. It's not that. I thought it was worth. Sometimes I have a parking. Will you go today to the makeup gain? Will you attend to make makeup game today? Today's game. Because he's been. Veterans, and it's gonna rain. Right. But you do blame the Phillies organization for the snap full last night. George is that correct, absolutely. I don't like them at all. Because they. All right. Give me a great defensive lineman. Who you got? I got nobody. Hopefully, I Tom McCarthy out afterwards did explain what went on. Here's Tom's explanation. Unfortunately, the infield dirt took the brunt of the three point six inches. Ben is that what it is. That's what I was told three point six inches of rain. We will obviously keep you up to date as much as we can throughout the night on NBC sports, Philadelphia and also tomorrow as well. But right now, let's say normal doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow at three oh, five Jones E pointed out that it appeared. Ben Ben Davis was offended when Tom turn to him and said is at three point five inches three point six point six inches. Ben same kind of sensitive about that. He didn't like it. Eight eight eight seven to nine doesn't like exaggeration. Them broken. No hitter. Eight eight eight seven to nine ninety four ninety four power ninety four ninety five your ATT of ride phone guys. You wanna win Fletcher Cox jersey that so far all I got on the board for great defensive lineman all time, Joe Klecko, Reggie White. And William refrigerator Perry. Go just.

"T mobile Tuesday's. They were rob, I know this family show, but we have to say this because I couldn't believe it myself. They had show staff up there and they were talking about if they'd ever. These were men all men ever taken it in the, but okay, that's all I'm gonna say crude crass. I wouldn't listen to. I said, I immediately turned up said, is this what stern is doing at like seventy? He's like a dirty old man. He's got no other Schick. No, nothing. Any audio than having guys go up there and talk about something so discussing, nauseating, right. I don't care what people sexual preferences are do what you want, but these were straight men and they were just trying to admit it was just it was a train wreck and they're all laughing and it's this. So how come he's not throwing off the air. Howard Stern has been offending for thirty years, but it's fun to take that observation in that position. But I don't think you or any of us want to go to an extreme on this either. So there's kind of this whole thing. Sure. There's maybe other people that are doing something somewhere to this that why aren't they getting taken down? Well, I mean, it's a good question. Maybe they should be taken down, but at the end of the day, I mean, it's difficult for should be. I don't think they should be taken. That's my point. Yeah, I'm not saying even how taken I don't like I hate it, but I don't. I don't think you should be taken down. Maybe I didn't make that point. Clare Siro. Well, I think it's well. It's just a matter of looking at it kind of from the standpoint of of these forms have ever right to have some sort of say in what goes on their platforms and more and more the federal government and the. Leaders in this country are starting to hold platforms accountable. I mean, whether it'd be music, whether it'd be the content that's on those platforms and what what goes on in those has tremendous impact on our culture in our society, look what's going on with the hacking that's going on in the the kind of. Efforts on the part of foreign countries to influence our elections and get involved in in causing turmoil and strife in our culture and our society to create confusion and create problems. And I think these are all part of that same thing, right. As we become more divided as a culture, we get more divided on issues like this instead of coming together and realizing that you know, this kind of speech in this kind of conduct is is only inflaming problems in our culture. And I'm not saying that these platforms have a role in monitoring that in controlling that. But I do get a sense of congress and other other entities are looking at these platforms and saying, you know, who's accountable to what happens on these platforms. And so I think that the the these technology companies feel pressure from both sides. They want to be an open platform because it's good for all of us. I mean us taking down accounts as. Not good for business. It's never good for business, but we have to adhere to the legal document that we put out there and sure we could do a better job in forcing that legal document across more shows. I think there's degrees that we have to look at how severe it is what impacts are on our users and what's the domino affect us being a primary host platform that's going out to itunes and Stitcher, and all these listening platforms when they've chosen to take the content down, you know. So let me ask you a question because something very important if I can, you just made me think of something that's all well and good and the reason the main reason everyone stating why they threw him off all these platforms and all using the same thing is because of sandy hook. Now he has since retracted sandy hook actually. Very few of the platforms have used sandyhook is the primary. So if you look at all the announcements that were made by all these platforms, it's it is specifically referring to hate speech. It's not talk because the sandy hook thing is not a referential item that would be anybody's terms of service. Now, granted, What's they hate the us. hate speech. Actually, I think some of the platforms got very specific..
