"But it was a little over a thousand low. Yeah well over. Two thousand for me. but so. What i did was i wanted to force that a thousand miles but also wanted to have all the places as places that are either frequently traveled to or frequently visited So we did. We started going to placid. Also were starting. A new jersey said to be somewhere near us. Our starting point super super useful. One wah wah so food stop. Yeah that happens to have a gas station. At tesla super charger America charger right there. Basically in that parking lot so all pretty much top off and then start one hundred percents. We went to lake placid. Then we went to niagara falls then we went to cornell university in ithaca down to scranton and then back across the work was little over thousand miles. It is also in a fairly like remote area as well but for us. It is still place where people like. Do people go to niagara falls all the time lake placid. It was a past olympic site. It's like all pretty obvious driving but again it wasn't going to be an easy trip by any means for gas card you have no worries about it But for the rest of it we weren't really sure and we did make a rule where you are not allowed to pre plan charging or gas stops or pitstops or whatever beforehand weren't allowed to until you got into the car we wanted to make like. Most people does hunting is like we're to get in the car and you're gonna see where the car told you what to do pretty much. Yeah so i wanna do. Let's do a quick to three second to three minute. Recap of each cars experienced just to set the stage for what actually went down right so i think gas car should probably start. Because that's what everyone's familiar with control. So i guess that's what everyone should be familiar. I mean it went smooth. We definitely had all of the advantages on our side. We had as many stops. We wanted to because almost even out there in the middle of that around dex. We could get a gas station pretty much wherever we wanted. We can stop for food. When we wanted wasn't taking up a whole lot of time we had three drivers. Although i wound up doing most of it i was just on a roll. Tim was grading. Thumbnail adam was our best cameraman so it just kind of settled into roles and went that way but we yeah we cruised. Now's pretty much. It no surprises. You ended up no sizes we trivia. We did split it up into two days just for clarity so we did Day one was started the studio head up to lake placid than hoped head over to niagara falls pause. Leave your current state of charge or in your case state of fuel and then day to wake up in agra falls. Finish the rest of the loop from there and we keep the time delta from each car. The test lakes. Oh i want to ask. Was there any sort of Autopilot cruise control that. You're taking a lane assist and cruise control. Nothing that was attempting to be both self driving means. It was more of just like a. Am helping stay in the lane. I'm keeping up with the car in front of you. You can set travel distance. It was coming from an older car with one hundred eighty thousand miles on. It is nice to just be a newer car but like it wasn't anything. I was assuming both of the democracy or the would have. It's not like anything we've talked about. I enjoyed it. It definitely made driving a little easier. Let's get yeah okay. Yeah i'll i'll go for the test car. I've done a lot of road trips in the tussle before ourselves very familiar and even without any pre planning you get in the car and you're able to plan pretty easily on the map on the touchscreen and the car so yeah we. We didn't have any sort of issues. I'm looking at my charging stops here. Which i've written all of them down. We had six total charging stops three on each day. Okay none of them were over forty. Six minutes And they're all pretty fast typically would get you know. Sixty to eighty percent. Battery pretty are most dramatic. Experience was the first one where we went directly from the studio all the way up to the top of the mountain and lake placid where i arrived with zero point. Three percent battery left which is one mile car. Yeah So i was. I was chilling. I was definitely going very slow fadhil to make sure that worked out the once. We got there now. I stop Where we charge for half an hour and got to two hundred seventy five miles. So i was definitely trusting supercharge network without one for sure. Yeah for sure Other than that. Yeah autopilot was great. I learned a lot about the limits of navigate autopilot. I still wish. I had access to the full self-drive beta where i didn't have it but it was great for highway stuff. Nice the machi. All right well first of all. Thank you for. Berbie me in here because i still stuck in vermont and so i'm gonna shave quick. Oh well it feels better for those who are listening to. David had a fake moustache. Lake the to put them together. And i realized that we left them. Break the fourth wall man Okay yeah so you know. I think brandon and i were in the monkey. We got a little Screwed over at the very first stop and that kind of set the pace for the rest of the first day and Even though we were originally going for like kind of it's not like a race but also just like a it's sort of a raised but not trying to like dry fast right we cap at seventy five hour on each car But we had to pull off. Actually i was very surprised by the monkey ascending. The monkey does really well is like the range estimate us extremely accurate and you actually get more rain than it says you're gonna get which is not something tesla's do And the the ford guy that came to hand off the Lightning to us told us that they do this on purpose because they would prefer to give custody like give customers lower expectations and then pleasantly surprised. Them that's something we definitely saw in the monkey with. We got more range than it said we were gonna get which was great. The problem was we got to the first charger with like thirty miles remaining on the car And the chargers roll down. And i guess it was something weird where they were like switching over systems over the weekend and they hadn't finished switching them over or something but the problem with that was in that area.

I don't worry about hardly anything and people are right now. Trying to get on going away next week and people are trying to put that fear in. May of you know the the virus. That's going around. Just you know what? Live your life What I believe is that we my grandmother always said to me. We all have destiny. That is a choice. We don't need to let whatever happened once upon a time dictate the parameters for the type of life we can seek out for ourselves. That is the truth and you. You you demonstrate that you embody that and the fact that you've got the credible sense of humor and and the the less for life that you do in the sense of adventure that you do. Which makes sense. You know, you live there, tell us about Newark what they've done badly. Well, so, you know, sometime last year or two years ago, United sued the port authority in regards to Highland fees that they're redirecting landing fees, and basically, the weight the FAA managers are parts on the policies dictated airport. Authorities cannot redirect fees from landing fees, or fees earned from landing fees to other projects. They're, they're supposed to go back at the airport. And so it kicked off a whole process in the port authority has message getting audited now. Now by the federal government, and it is already come, they've already identified that the Puerto court very did misdirected number funds. But now they're trying to figure out how much of that. Oh, exciting. 'cause there be at some point, I think it was nineteen Eighty-three or something when the laws in tooted, but there was to me was eighty two where there was nine airport sponsors who were exempted from some of these rules, so that they can redirect some fees. But not as much as a port authority has been sounds like a ninety four how much they can divert was restricted even further and yeah. So billions of dollars, I guess, at the end of the day can what's going to happen, though. I mean as gonna earn gonna find newer like, just make them start spending money, better. I don't know. It seems interesting. I think one they would have to give United back the money that they've misdirecting because apparently I didn't realize that and I don't know why they've done this. They've lending fees at Newark are higher than JFK. Yeah. United said in twenty fourteen seventy five percent higher. Fire, which seems agreed is why they wouldn't keep them on the level playing field. And so, I mean that to me, I I've always had the feeling and the into instinct favors delta versus United like they're just penalizing United even more. Yeah. That is interesting. Some interesting numbers. They are. I mean talking through their saying five to eight five airports net over over diversions from Maryland. Massport in Hawaii, exceeded two point three billion over five years last year. There's some number of years Massport being on come on, come on. Shocking, right? I know into city, Chicago notarize their. Yeah. But exempted municipalities are the airport runs systems of Hawaii, Maryland, which is really just Baltimore Massport Chicago. San Francisco, Denver, Saint Louis and the oddball Niagara, buffalo, I guess with their Buffalo's part of the night 'cause Agra falls airport as well. It's already in Agra falls is. The airport that Allegiant uses that for buffalo. Niagara service by, don't even. This group covers multiple counties, and including buffalo, Niagara, anti-agricultural nationally vote and bus but they also do bus service. That's you know, I in many ways sucks that the money being spent as being good to quote unquote, the wrong place that illegal illegal, so certainly the legal value of it matters by, like you need something that's gonna pay for other mass transit services around the country, because God knows our normal government spending doing it as a tough one. But this goes back to the age thing. Right. They continue to penalize travelers because travelers have very little voice in how they get hacks, right into the keypad, and this is across the board..

"Lewis black, you're is non est by. I mean, even you a time honored pro, you're seeing something on George carlin's note cards. That's exciting you? Yes. He gives you an insight into him. Now I sat and talked to George about his process, but even with that watching him, you know, on a screen onstage work on a bit as opposed to us discussing how he works amazing or you walk into what is called the blue room, which is the those who use language that many consider to be bad words, offensive words, shocking words. You know the seven words, the George used on television and there's a bar down there. But when you walk in literally the first thing you see are those words that couldn't be said according to the FCC and not only the words are in English, but there in like eight or ten other languages, and they take a photo of you. When you see the words to show the shock, that might be. Like if you're on a roller coaster ride at another exactly is the comedy karaoke exactly the kind of thing you talk instead of the James corden singing a song. This is something I actually have done where someone would take a bit of mine and then do it. Instead of, you know, singing a song. There'd be a printout which they'd stand on a stage with a mic in what is essentially a club setting that they've set up and in front of an audience. They'll have like, you know, Jim gaffe agains bits or David tells bits bits by a number of comics that are, you know, well known and people like and see you can go in and pick a that you like, and then you do like fifty seconds to a minute and a half of their bid. Well, we have a little bit of Kami karaoke, here's someone named Cameron. Hearst doing George carlin's modern man. I came on the modern main man, visuals. Free diversified multicultural postponed deconstruction politically timely ecological leaking? Correct. I think this is going to be the new what to do with your bridal party before a wedding as opposed to carry? I would hope so. I would hope they would go. They would leave the company clubs alone where they have a tendency to drive us crazy and move onto to Jamestown. Well, what they can also do is a Spiring comics can actually use their own comedy to understand at a laugh battle exhibit. Well, yeah, what can happen is to folks can sit there and try to make each other laugh and then have kind of hints on the screen of certain jokes and stuff that they might use. And the patiently they throw things back and forth in the Microsoft is created a recognition thing so that if the person, even if the person isn't laughing laughing, but the fact that the person is really kind of starting to smile and and is getting into the left mode that person is buzzed out. So they nail them kind of it's a, it's a laugh battle. Look at the national comedy center in Jamestown, New York again, is opening its first state of the art museum dedicated to all of American comedy, but it's long run the Lucille ball, Desi arnez museum. And for less twenty five years, they have this Lucille ball comedy festival there in Jamestown, very cool, Trevor Noah, Joan rivers, Joan rivers, Ellen Degeneres, Paula, Poundstone. I mean, this is the you. I'm sorry, we keep your meeting remember to Louis black. I can't because I love, but, but this this is kind of cool that this is in Jamestown, upstate New York, but a great summer. Tripp go to rock and roll and Cleveland hop up Leary go to Jamestown and go to comedy, cut down to Cooperstown. Baseball can also stop in if you if you pay attention, you can stop in Utah Kwa and watch a concert or piece of theater or dance in Utah clashes like twenty minutes from there. You can gamble at the casino in Seneca. You can get up to Agra falls and then and you're right and hit Cooperstown and come home..

"Is that really their fault or is it the off-season program is so much shorter now that they don't have enough time to figure out which one of the three? That's that's, that's fair. But at the same time they're dealing with the same limitations that every team is why not have one guy get is much preparation and going into week one. The other guys are going to get snaps. It's going to be with the third team and they're the biggest problem is they send the wrong guy in free agency. They signed AJ McCarron instead of somebody better they, they.
