"It didn't really work out that well. I've never done this before with anybody that I can think of. You know me? I'm not really a grudge holding guy when players leave. I mean, I like some players there been guys I haven't liked over the years for the bills. The sabers. I'm not really one of those who you leave town. Curse on you and your family going forward A pox on your house. I don't really do that stuff. I'm not kidding. The minute that Johnson told me Cono was suspended. The first thought was, he's off the payroll. Beautiful. And then maybe the fifth thing was. I got to get that shirt out of my drawer and throw it in the rag pile. But I don't usually I don't think I can think of a single other player. But I would have said good riddance, and your shirt is dead to me now throwing, I'm throwing it in the rag pile. They're a jersey that you just anybody you got over the years, you would have said no. Well, God, you're gone. I never should have bought this jersey. It's going in the closet Never to be seen again. As you can tell from Sports jersey Saturday. They come out. They don't stay there. I mean, I've got aggregor Ranko Jersey That didn't work out too well, but I keep it. I mean, that's Yeah. So, Yeah, this is but this guy had a couple of law that I've lost over the years, but none that I can think of one somewhere along the way I had to Marshawn jersey and I don't know where that disappeared to. But it depends whether you ran hot or cold on Marshall. Now you weren't particularly offended by Marchand as I recall. Well, I mean, the incident with hitting the girl downtown was talking about, you know, you know how he was around the football team, right? And not, you know, not wanting to talk to me. Do you like that? Generally, just doesn't Bother me. I don't understand why it does bother other people and people have to work, you know, but plus the thing that Cano Twice. He got caught right. He's cheated the system twice. He's a cheater, he said. He is a cheater like the discussion about Cono again. I don't care because you know what he's not admit. He's a Yankee. I mean, as far as I'm concerned, he's a Yankee, and then he went to Seattle. But the discussion on Cano is forget the Hall of Fame is the two time cheater now and so be it. "I'm Rick Gregory, the law firm of Greg Rick and associates in with attorney extraordinaire that bright fresh of Bubbly. This Effervescence. Ted Hanson, his son, just like my wife. Yeah, well, something's got to get the motor rile. That is just so So, folks. We've been talking about a subject so untrue really tough in the radio here, talking about taxes and Marital exemption. So just a quick review for a married couple when the first person dies. Your estate plan has to be properly prepared such that it will capture the appropriate amount for the amount to gain your exemption amount. You have to claim your exemption. It's not something automatic. You have to file a tax return to get it and you have to have a certain type of trust called exemption trust. Maybe it's a bypass trust. They're called lots of different things, but it's a credit exemption trust, regardless of its name. Most of you who have older estate plans will not get full value out of those old estate plans because they were forcing numbers in rather than what we prefer here. Aggregor can associates and have for many years more flexible. What if planning, I call it wait and see. This is dynamic planning that allows the surviving spouse or other professional designated in the plan, or designee for the spouse to decide after death. How to best manage the taxes and put money into the right bucket. In other words, for the person who died, the decedent they have a couple of buckets that they can put their money into that air tax that air dealing with the state taxes. And so often times these formulas are counterproductive. In today's tax environment. They worked very well for about 40 years where the estate tax was stable at 600,000 and change, So but now that we've had this massive run up, and so we went in the last 15 years from 600,000 upto. 11,588,000 extraordinary and this also ties in them a lifetime gifting which will touch on a little bit here, so we just really need to make sure that the optimum thing for the majority of folks is to use the most of your credit exemption. That you can in your words the most now where a lot of folks and Ted this is where you know many of our clients fall that we, you know, we have a lot of wealthy clients. Obviously, here in Kirkland, King County's a pretty wealthy places, Things go and you know, with the tech money, and then this Old money, business money, lots of money flowing around. And so we need to look at. You know these, but many of them aren't into the you know, maybe 20 or $30 million range, but between five and 15. Lots of folks out there are in that wealth quotient. And many of you who have four or $5 Million states don't consider yourself wealthy because you're comparing yourself to billionaire. Stop doing that. You're wealthy. You know if you have over three or $4 million. What I'm talking about now is something you need to master and make sure you understand because it will definitely impact your estate. And so we really want to make sure that we're taking a look at these and building these flexible formulas. Well, I see a lot of the state's Rick when people come to me that that that are married and have no planning in these plans, and that's even more disastrous and and, you know, perhaps when it was drafted, there wasn't a concern. Perhaps they didn't have enough in the attorney didn't have the forethought to think. What about future events? What about inheriting? What if they inherit money? What if they have an income that blows up or some other event that takes them out of the planning? That was done at the time? It was done? And this is not unusual that a lot of these plans, you know, 15 years old 10 years old. I don't either. Don't have it all, which is disastrous for many people. I mean, I've had people come to me with the states. You know, $56 million with no, nothing, nothing in place right? And that's the That's the worst part of the storm. Is that well, Ted, I had someone not too terribly long ago $12 million state. And they have no estate planning and I got a call from a family member. I'm asking if I could help out and I said, Well, what's the situation? Well was Dad's in the hospital, and they've only given him less than a week to live..

I appreciate the call back. Thanks so much for joining us once again. How are things in New York? First of all, because that was obviously the epicenter of the pandemic a couple of months ago, and things have certainly turned around there. What's the feeling like across the city? Yeah. Get rid of the virus. You keep tourists out and you cut down on the car traffic. It's really a great place. In a quiet summer here, but you know, it's It's certainly great. It feels like Europe with all the restaurant dining outdoor than everybody kind of enjoying the outdoors. The mask there knew we were getting used to it. And you know this of anyplace we understand the importance of doing those things, right? Absolutely. Let's talk about the conventions the past two weeks. What were some of the things that you saw her? That really stood out to you that that you thought were notable? You know, I think the tone was was obviously different between the DNC and the RNC. The issues were different. In fact, give credit to the Republicans for probably talking more about issues on Democrats. The Democrats were focused more on, I think tone. Ah, humility and ah, decency. You heard that word a lot, but they didn't talk a lot of some of the issues I thought we might hear. They didn't do a lot of trying to cater to their base where the Republicans really spend most of their time speaking to their base. The one thing that both convention seemed to have in common, and I thought it was really fascinating to watch this unfold. This is the most important election ever. And this country's future is at stake. Democracy itself. America being America. I mean, that theme was present at both conventions, but obviously for different reasons. Isn't it always the same thing. I think I heard every election in my lifetime is the most important election of my lifetime. I'm sure that you know different people have different reasons, but that's one thing that gets people to vote is Year of non voting and spear was certainly front and center to the RNC, right. I mean DNC, too, but aren't he was really our country is going to collapse if Joe Biden is elected the Democrats that our country is going to collapse if you give Donald Trump four more years, so as much as we like this probative, we throw him around a lot. I'm not sure this is the most Anything in our lifetime yet, so we'll see. But you hear those things a lot on a campaign. Yeah. What disappoints me about that kind of messaging is that look, we have checks in this country. You know this idea that that Trump or Biden, they're going to get to do all these different things. I mean, just look back at the Obama presidency and the past couple of years of the trump presidency between federalism and courts. It's just not that simple to do what both sides are saying. But you know that That's what happens pretty much every time an election rolls around. You've been keeping a close eye on the youth vote. We're talking to investigative and political reporter for NBC LX, Noah prance key That's going to be an important part of the electorate this year. What are you seeing? What are you hearing? You know, I think at this point there are very few undecided left, right. They're very you hoped to be flipped to. So there were no Joe Biden orders who watched the RNC this week that you know what I'm gonna spoke for Donald Trump. And like why There were no Trump supporters who loved what they heard from Joe Biden decided they're gonna flip to be Democrats, however, you do stand a chance at flipping small numbers of people. Either to or from the middle to the undecided or the third party vote. So I've been watching the third party poll numbers and they have been dropping a bit. But no group is more likely to vote for someone a third party, probably because they see the protest vote as young voters. People under 30, especially Jen's E first time voters who are, you know in the 18 to 22 range, so It's very easy to say I don't like politics. I don't like Biden or Trump. I'm going to vote for a third party and show them but I think we all know that a vote for a third party these days for an presidential election. There's nothing more than a half vote for each candidate. So you got a choice. A young people don't always realise that so you know, the numbers have been shrinking. Joe Biden did get a bit of a bounce with young voters after last week, it was the only group that seemed to give Biden a little bit of a bounce. Hey, did see his favorability rating jumped, especially with the young people after the DNC, So I'll be watching the polls again over the weekend and on the Monday after the are in the sea of Donald Trump did anything that it turned his numbers around young people. I got to say it didn't even feel like they were trying for most convention. They were doing some things that making many young people they shouldn't open. Joe Biden, but Donald Trump in the RNC did not try to really court many young voters to vote for them. Much feels when you look at some of the activism that we've seen over the past couple of years following the Parkland shooting, young people got very active on the gun issue, and then more recently racial and justice and the social justice movement. You've seen a lot of young people eyes part of that participating in all of that. What is that going to translate into votes in November? Do we know that yet? Yeah, young people are engaged, and Democrats have been a decent job of showing them that if you care about getting rid of Donald Trump, which about two thirds of young people do you have to go and vote? I don't think that message was quite clear four years ago, and maybe because they took the election for granted, going up against Trump, and obviously that bit him on the behind. But Democrats seem to be much more organized. Young people seem to be much more interesting and engaged. And if you look at some of these grassroots groups, the black lives matter or some of the other things that are happening with, you know, racial equality and other progressive issues right now. They're joining a goodjob, not just advancing. The issue is getting attention, but also trying to convey the importance of the vote. So if they can do that, what young people are never gonna vote. In the same percentages as older people. But if they can increase it by a percentage point here, they're in a state like Florida or Michigan. Weren't maybe, you know, razor thin. That's the kind of thing that an election decided by a third of a percentage point. That's how you win an election. Investigative and political reporter for NBC LX You confined all of his reporting at Noah Prance Key on Twitter again, Noah prance Key on Twitter, Noah. Thanks so much for the time. All of us were very confused by this. But before we get to the alleged acre that Guillermo owns on Mars, I just want the audience to have a sneak peek behind the scenes, lest you think that Greg Cody's general incompetence is an act. I wish we were televised so that you could see how his son is just made to feel great Shame at how his father just can't do the most basic things like Make a sound so we could get the joke. Like, but he just stared at us for four old seconds and I swear if we had sat there, it would have been 40 seconds because I have no idea what Greg Cody was doing as we tried to get him on the hard network out, and he had no earthly idea where we were in the show. You guys, How did you experience this? I experienced your frustration. I understand why you're frustrated. It's just Greg Cody being Greg Cody. Most of the times it works out his awfulness. Sometimes it does not. I think what happened there is you got unlucky again with a piece of paper going over the mute button, which would be the second time in an hour, which is a record for a chauffeur, Greg. So we've got a what's today Wednesday. So means tomorrow is the check the box Thursday for governor Doug Ducey and his press conference. It'll probably be a three Well, Erin. So so you know, I don't know really what to expect anymore, Even though the numbers are better over the last three or four days, which is a definite positive, he should auto tune all of his answers. I'd be more interesting to me. Let me tell Dora about what's going on. Are you? Yeah. Is he going to give us anything on schools Because, like, what's the date today? I'm awful with the dates. I think it's the 29th okay? Cause I usually when I ask what the data says. I'm like June 22nd and I'm not even in the right month. So it's it's July 29th. On the seventh. We're supposed to find out. What these benchmarks are going to be for safe return in person. Teacher led classroom instruction. That's August 7th. We're supposed to find that out and then August 17th Is, at least for now, when in person schooling could happen, and we're probably thinking it's not going to happen. I mean, you have three or four good days of numbers doesn't mean that you rushed Children back to school and rush teachers back into school. As we said with will humble just the other day. He said. That's a disaster. If you send kids back to school early, let's wait. Let's get these numbers down. So on Thursday. Do she's going to speak or we'll hear anything about schools, or is he just gonna wait for the seventh will often be there again. I kind of doubt it. I don't think tomorrow I don't really know what tomorrow is going to be about. But I've got a feeling it's not going to be about so I already know what it's gonna be. Oh, so me, Okay. You guys gather round every together. Tomorrow is going to be about the lap that he's going to start to take over the fact that we've decreased 50% from the previous week, and it's because of his tutelage and his brilliance leadership. In in navigating these uncertain times. You really don't think he's going to go in front of a microphone and say that, do you? Yeah, really. And by the way, do you want to know how good it is? If you have to find him today, looking up today on CNN, and of course, all the panic media that's going on shamanic point as we call it in the media world. They had us. In the as far as the decreasing levels. We were, like, way down like, you know, they have the red and then they have to, like the the dark the orange and then they have the yellow light yellow. We were like the super light yellow because we're down 50%. So you're asking his Kathy Hoffman going to be there? I'll say this. Why doesn't he bring all the mayors from around Arizona and seat them around him? Because they're the ones that actually told people you're going to wear a mask in this city? But that allowed it to happen. I mean, you mean I punted because I can make a big decision. You go. There you go. I just Ah, we're gonna bring anybody around that little table that you sit out. Wanted to bring the Arizona mayors. Who said Let's wear a mask because the numbers The numbers Now, you know, Today's numbers 2339. That's the highest all week. So we've had 8 1819 121 100 So were three or four days into this week, and the highest number is really 2300. So at least there, it looks like we're leveling off. But it's the numbers so high, but it's not for 1000. No, and it's not 3000 were down 50% based on the numbers right now, compared to where we were last week. So we've had a 50% drop off a number of infections, a ce faras. The cases have gone to see the I C u see the hospitals. They're not at 91 other in them there in the mid maybe a little upper Yeah, like 85 like 87 you know, so that's good. And next week we're in the seventies. Then it's even better. He's going to be doing that. He's gonna Connor McGregor. There's threat on the way out. You don't deserve that. He'll do the condom. Aggregor struck and they would just come on out. And I'll be like, Oh, really? I think the best thing Here. Let me throw this at you. When red Fred came about Governor, Do you see? Reluctantly came around. And I think you have to give him a little credit for that. Absolutely okay. He didn't want to pay the teachers, though he would. He gave the teachers a horrific a terrible rays, and they just said, Okay, we're done with you. Was a terrible race. And the teacher said we we want, you know, we deserve more and then read for it happened and the march happened And do Si actually listened, even though his back was right against the wall, But he still made the decision to go. 20% by 2020. So you have to give him some credit there, okay? How about the masks? Some credit? I give him a sliver of credit, but not a lot. A sliver of credit for saying Listen, I don't want to make this big decision and I'm going to punt and I'll give it to the mayor's, but I gotta tell you, it's the mayor's Who almost all of them said masks mandated in my state, and that seems to have changed the numbers. That's the real thing. So by the way, I'm also want to point out that Even before the mayor's got involved. I started seeing more and more people masking up and that was I give more credit to us. I mean, the mayor is a great point. But at the end of the day, we're not fighting it. We're just doing the right thing, and they're not overdoing it by saying that you're in a park by yourself. You need to wear a mask. You're not getting that They do that. My dad says he do that in New York and New Jersey. I'd be like, and then they go in. They find you. We'll go ahead and park by myself. Yeah, that's where the constitutional stuff is where you have to have the battle on that. But It's just ridiculous. Speaking of Matt Dude, I've got the best sound you're ever going to hear.
