Rep. Michael Waltz on This Week's Blistering Hearing on Capitol Hill

"Right, let's cut to the chase earlier this week. Congressman waltz, there was a blessing. I mean, just an embarrassing, truly embarrassing, a hearing on Capitol Hill. We had Matt Gaetz on the show yesterday. Talk to us about the state of the military, the state of the budget. And how a former four star general who's now the Secretary of Defense, I can't imagine I can't remember if this has ever happened before in the history of the Congress. Questions, the patriotism of one of your colleagues in Congress during a testimony? It's shocking. That's what Lloyd Austin did to Matt. Yeah. No, absolutely. I was there. And it's amazing to see some of these appointees. Lose sight of the fact that they're not elected. The American people are our bosses. And they don't put their names on the ballot. We do. And in the House of Representatives, we do it every other year, because that's how the founding fathers intended. We're the people's house. And so that was completely out of line. And the thing that Matt was questioning is you're so focused and I'll tell you about my follow one question in a minute. You're so focused on this woke ism and diversity and equity training and all of that social engineering garbage that you missed the capabilities of the Afghan army as it collapsed. You missed the capability of the Ukrainians when you predicted that Kyiv would fall in 72 hours. For those who misspoke, you said 36 days. What Millie, the chairman of the joint chiefs, the most senior military officer in the world. Said to president Biden, is that Kyiv is going to fall in 36 hours. And there was no apologies. There's no mayor culpa. He tried to actually argue that no, no, no, we got it right.

"Crushed on twitter from people who were like this. Listen to this ingrate and you know what this. Maybe it's steam. We do every day biggest liars. How made ahmadi is a liar. He tweets out the picture. And you've seen some a little bit of chicken chicken chicken and that's fruit watermelon. Yeah and it's a container you get like a cafeteria which has room for three different dishes. Yup one of them's empty. It's empty because he took something out of it and you know what else he took out of. The bread is so stupid. In the corner of the photo you can see crusts of bread that thing so easy to and it's photos in my iphone. I can just crop super super quick and easy. How could he not crop that out and again. this is not really an important story lying about The afghan government. but it's a narrative. This is so this ingrate. A grown man twenty eight year old grown man complaining because the us government which she's flew him out of afghanistan brought him to america and is now giving him all the benefits. Soon of of you know being an american. You'll be on whatever kind of welfare program he wants to be on. You have no doubt about that. You'll have food stamps. He'll have all kinds of benefits from the great satan here He's complaining about the free food. He's getting it well first of all this again when we mentioned this early. Maybe weren't listening there. Ahmad is ten million jobs out there. A bitchy in el paso right now is a thousand fast food places with help wanted signs and you know well some of them. Do they eat all. You want if you work. The violates looking at this. He's like with food like this. I i wish. I just stayed behind captured by the taliban shot he writes. Oh he's a blogger and writer. He says he said he had a pretty good job back. In kabul i had a decent life. I had a family. I was forced to flee. He said he just wanted to show what refugee like was like. I hope you joy i mean. It's one one tweet after another conham ingrate complaining about this. I don't know you wanna complain about it go ahead. It's the fact that he's lying about it but he's not showing you all the food at socks. Yes shows the bread. The bread is over here. and we'll container. Which probably would be what vegetables potatoes or something is empty. Yes so eight some of the meal and then he tweeted out some of an pretended refugee life. I mean come on. You were saved from from probably slavery in kabul city decent life but flown here by the way that's going to be the next bite. Administrations is going to be one scandal after another. We're going to find out that they just the i mean we left some translators behind. Obviously we left some americans behind. Some of them are getting on airplanes trying to get out but let them out. You know what they call that they call that a hostage is going to be hostages. And we're gonna find out of the hundred twenty thousand people. We flew out in the came to america. There's going to be you know child brides. There's going to be a terrorists. People on terrorist watch lists and as isis affiliates. I mean we. We didn't vet. These people were just poured and stuffed them on c. Seventeen to america. That's it that the and again they'll be the media will cover it up but they'll be guys sixty year old guys with eleven year old wives or three wives six wives or they'll be honor killings because some afghan woman came here and suddenly showed her face. There'll be a lot of that stuff coming down the it's it's inevitable. I mean you don't think one hundred twenty thousand people even if you did some bad apples. Of course it's going to be some bad apples. But that will that. That's our latest liar. How about that lineup of liars. We had today the wrong digging rolling stone liars. We had the media lying about Abidin or covering up biden's conversation with afghan president. We had joe biden saying he was at the tree life synagogue When he wasn't he lied. We have tom brady line about getting vaccinated or or a coach. Did.

"That out as well at shake. Concrete dot com before we get to australia. Yeah quick trend sweet. One of college football. A lot of people are excited. I didn't spend a lotta time watching college football. But i saw this story. Quick trend there Fans are just going nuts. There's enough steam and singing and dancing and yelling and making all kinds of noise. It's a whole it's a it's a very urging thing to see. They're not they're living their lives the trend where they have this new chant. Have you heard about it. No it's f joe biden hall and there's a. There's a thread on twitter. It's like five or six different games. Not one game five or six different games where they all start chanting ask joe biden is kind of a you know that's they're they're rebelling. They're defying the shown up and big crowds and they're not wear masks and they're bringing all over each other and they're having a good time and they're chanting f- joe biden. We want from our rebels if that catches on like an nfl stadiums. Boy the media. You wanna see the the media cover something up or omit something because it's not really that important but if that becomes a trend economic here on tv games that'd be awesome. That'd be fun but hopefully we continue to rebel and we don't turn into australia and i've already declared already set up. Never going there. I used to want to go there someday. Go to the beach go. Go look at the wild animals. All the things you're supposed to do in australia. I'm never going there. These people have lost their minds. It is scary. They're beating people up for not wear masks. They're putting people in internment camps if they if they test positive or they you know exposed. Somebody's testing positive. They don't people aren't really dying. There's no great Plague wiping out half the population. Nothing like that just have tyrant the people in government over there. They all have the same. You know they have that same mentality gretchen. Whitmer and gavin newsom and charlie baker. They want to control people. They're getting off on the control. They're they're like using facial recognition. Yeah they are. There's new apps you left your house field within an hour. They're like pulling people over if they suspect they're not Going out for no real for the wrong reason in arresting them and fortunately people have cell phone cameras. So we're getting to see and it's just so disturbing You're looking at the death. Yeah so we're still rolling average around six it. It just fluctuates between the two. Six people. The country twenty eight million people or something Six and new zealand's worst because new zealand has no deaths they've like no cases and they're locking people down and beating people up out of this happened in the west twenty five million five million people six deaths and they're literally putting people in internment camps. You could see the camps so yeah we're seeing them. There's videos coming out all over the place they are. I mean this is the united states. Did this of course in world war two two japanese americans and it's it sounds so horrible. In retrospect but now we're seeing it live right and it's obviously it's regrettable. It's a dark chapter pass. When roosevelt locked up japanese americans including veterans. I mean it's nobody looks back in thinks it was a good idea. No this is Taking people just I guess got sick or got exposed to somebody who's sick sick and putting them in camps you think just the thought of that would just discussing being being captured being kidnapped and put somewhere because of your because of your his because he might have a flu in and you could see. The people were getting arrested. They're not like a necessarily older obese. They're not gonna die and not going to die from it. They're not going to die. They're just like like everyone at like tom. Brady like joe. Rogan getting Colbert and they're getting better. The china the campaign. You better stay there. Well we've got sound of guy going off because after he's supposed to get out after fourteen days and they're not letting them threatening to gas him. I mean it's it's it's ugly is. Let's listen to some of the madness down. Well here's that second cut. That i was mentioning. This is from the perspective of another guy listening to it so There's a couple couple things happening so going to stay longer. Which is concerning for me because stayed here for four days..

"It's so it's so disingenuous to like. I'm okay with the argument that hey maybe i did isn't the isn't necessarily the best thing for covert or we don't know yet but just a just to describe it that way without giving the full picture i mean. It's a drug that people are using for medical reasons not just for livestock for malaria. Like i said just a few people who took this just took us apart right away. It didn't unlike virginia hoax. Virginia frat house rape hoax. Or you know duke lacrosse or whatever. Any the other hoaxes. We've seen over the years. This didn't last very long. And i'll tell you why. Look at the picture. You got it right in front. You look at the picture. That's oklahoma in august or early september. The original picture through. Maybe i did. they're all. Oh here's the one jacket boots everybody's bundled up and someone point out. Boy they must have been quite the cold snap in oklahoma. This august right. The picture is not even from the day of the right time. The pictures january. The picture is from january outside. I believe they're waiting for vaccines or the waiting for tests. And it's outside a hospital or clinic and they're all bundled up like how do you not if you're not the editor and you're not like checking this out. How do you not ask that question is one of the lamest hoax is unfortunately it was exposed so quickly and this guy drew holding on. Twitter has a fred where he gets includes all the The People who fell for it and commented on it including He points out rachel maddow. Who has what is it. Thirteen million thirteen million. Let me get her number. She has ten point. Five million followers she read tweets a thing Clothing the quote patients overdosing on ivermectin are backing up rural oklahoma hospitals ambulances. And she says the scariest one of heard of and seen is people coming in with vision. Loss people coming in to the hospital with vision loss for ivermectin overdose. She re tweets or tweets this out to ten million followers on september. Second it is now september seventh. Go rhino and it's still up there and you got alex was it Who's a alex. Berenson was the banned for asking questions about just asking questions. He's been banned for life for asking questions. Either being a skeptic vaccines but everything he did everything was dated back it up. Everything was linked to some study. That's why he was. He was good at good follow because he stayed on top of studies around the world to be something in israel. Sweden and boom. He'd have it. He's banned for life and by the way before he's painful. If they put warnings to any warnings tweets no warning. Rachel matters tweet rolling stone and rolling stone. Which again gone. I mean i wanna see him what he i'll get you. How many Rachel maddow nine thousand seven hundred and fifty three lakes thirty six hundred forty five hundred retweets ten thousand lakes forty five hundred re tweets. And it's still up no warning no ban no nothing you don't want big tech is as corrupt or more corrupt big media and as we've talked about many times and they don't even seem to care but this stupid story. This stupid lie. This hoax came from one doctor. And i soon they just wanted to believe it. You know. that's what happens if you guys you don't check it because it's too good to check too good to verify jozy run with it re tweeted and then rolling stone issues that update not correction. Not an apology an update. Unless you have it but yeah so. Let's listen to the doctor. This is the guy the source. They've got the ball rolling. Like the kevin cullen of the oklahoma medical community so backed up that gunshot.

"Not really not a mention of the six airplane being held on the ground if this obviously if this was donald trump is president. It would be front page news it would be the lead for cnn nbc abc. It is amazing. How how how corrupt they are amazing. How corrupt the media is this is by any definition a story. I don't know how big a story i don't know how many americans i don't know what what's gonna happen. Apparently being held on the ground in northern afghanistan not being allowed to leave right by the taliban. That's kind of a big deal. It's kind of a big deal. You know what else you don't see you know what else she didn't see anywhere it didn't i say the meat we talked about this last week. I would say it's kind of a big deal. The president joe biden Had a conversation with the former president of afghanistan. Ghani that snake who took off with one hundred sixty million. I forget where. I don't even remember where he is or central. America is he. He's he's he went to columbia. Not i don't know where when his sons went to columbia anyway. He's he's he's a snake. He took the money and ran but they had that conversation. Not so long ago. With joe biden aspartame to lie and only joe biden. Ask him to lie. Khurana joe biden. Light himself joe biden. Looked in the cameras told america that the afghan military was going to hold up and the afghan afghan government was going to be in control after we left now that obviously you know most of us had our doubts but it turns out was a flat out lie and they costly one. I think it cost thirteen service. People their lives gives me more than that. I mean it's a lot of civilians their lives to but think of this think of this. He tells he asks ghani to lie to say he said perceptions important We need we need the right perception. We need people to think that you're you're good to go. You're going to hold up the military's gonna hold up and then on july eighth biden Told del everyone the military was ready. And they were gonna they were gonna reenter thousand and seventy five thousand. Well armed well You know he lied to everybody to the world to the world and he has to lie. I dare you to find that story like on the front page of any news. I was probably in the new york post. But i believe all the usual suspects. Abc nbc cbs cnn new. They just ignored it. That is amazing. They spent weeks weeks talking about Donald trump's phone call to ukraine when he asked them to look into the corrupt biden family. A phone call to ukraine and it was like ridiculous. They impeached him for it. They wrote a thousand stories. You know talk shows and talking heads talking about how a inappropriate that was. You actually have a president asking another leader to lie to lie to cut to cover up the truth. Here's the exact quote to there is a need whether it is true or not to project. A different picture is what biden told him that. Not that's by definition asking him to live guys crazy that's by definition asking ghani to lie and what it's that's some harmless lie and we'll get to the you get to the harmless lie by comparison at least but that is amazing. How was it not like the big story in the frigging world when you have a president who is lying. Everybody lying to the public lying to the american people liked the world and asking our ally our little this this regime that lasted. What was it. Eleven days after we announced. We're leaving essentially. It was really like a weekend where they crumbled. They fell collapsed and he took off with a bunch of money on. I don't even know who went with him but he took off. And and the you know. The country fell into the hands of the taliban in a couple of days. It's one thing to have like a commentary a opinion show where you say. I don't think it was a big deal. Whatever you'll you cover up for the guy it's it's you know god people do it on both sides. You know sean hannity. He would defend trump. No matter what right. Yeah and and. I'm sure all the usual chris hayes landlords so donald will defend biden. No matter what but to ignore that to ignore it. An act like it didn't happen. That is not media bias that corruption that has immorality. They the the idea that he's your guy you know he's my guy so i'm gonna pretend happen but if you're a reader of the new york times or boston globe i don't think there's too many of those left but don't you demand better. Don't you expect more you if you want to do a straight news story and just have that quote. You just read in quotes. And here's what happened and you know you decide whether you think it's appropriate or not. That's one thing but to just ignore it and say ooh hopefully it'll just go away and our guy won't it won't embarrass our guy well. It won't hurt our side. That's just so free. I mean a a topic. We do every day here and tweet about it all the time but these are just two. This is a weekend two examples. And i haven't even got to the to the the meaningless lie yet. Which makes a t tell me this. Which do you find. More troubling when the president of the united states lies about something like this about the readiness the preparedness of the afghan government afghan military as we try to get out as we put our marines in harm's way as we get thirteen of our of our heroic warriors killed for no damn reason. Is that more disturbing. It's disturbing or the fact that president meets with some rabbis. It says oh yeah. I remember visiting the tree life. Synagogue tree of life. God if you don't remember was the site of mass shooting. I believe eleven people were slaughtered. Eleven jewish antisemitic A hate crime. I guess you'd obviously hate crime. Berta eleven people was the two thousand eighteen in pennsylvania so biden talking to rabbis just for no reason. No good reason just lies and said yeah. I went visited the tree of life synagogue and his own white house. Pr team had to issue a. I don't know what you call now correction. If you're rolling stone it's called an update. They do an update and they say actually. He didn't go there so he says he does. Something that is so easy to verify so easy to check. Does that kind of liar bother you. More than the guy who tells the big lag. I mean to me the big lie given the consequences. I agree but the big lie. He was trying to accomplish something you know. He was trying to convince people that the afghan it was a good time to leave. Yes he wanted the photo op for september eleventh right so he said it was a strategy a strategy. We're gonna lie about this and we're going to convince people that it is a good a pro an appropriate time to get out of afghanistan so to me there's a purpose to that light doesn't obviously make it right. It's it's it's very disturbing but when you have somebody who so casually and comfortably lies like to take advantage of a situation. I guess that i visited the synagogue. When immediately the people at the synagogue say no and the people at the white house say well. I guess this really no way to spin this. So we'll just say it's a holiday weekend labor day weekend..

Man i watch you sometimes at four four in the morning you put the screen shot or your watch. Sometimes you get up every day and hit it at four in the morning. Gosh must be tough. Well you know. i'm not as gifted as you. dan. I gotta put any extra work. That's the way it goes my whole life. Yeah no you are. You are listening there. There are a lot of bad asses out there. Man but you definitely walk the walk jaakko. I very concerned as a number of my friends are in a lot of my listeners. Getting tons of e mail on it. Even my wife hit me up last night about this. She's like dan. I can't believe we left all this equipment behind eighty four billion dollars in equipment. Some of it was intended for the afghan army made it into the hands of the taliban. This stuff concerns me. I mean it's bad enough. We were embarrassed and we left behind left behind transport planes jaakko but what worries me is three hundred fifty eight thousand five hundred thirty assault rifles. Forty two thousand. Excuse me sixty four thousand three hundred sixty three heavy machine guns one hundred twenty six thousand pistols envy. Jeez night vision goggles. I mean one of our tactical advantages. I mean no one knows better than you. I'll tell you this of our special forces is our ability to operate small units with basically light arms and to basically own the night. That's what you guys do. You operate at night to the point where i had a helicopter pilot once told me when we were in the secret service. He was the the million at the time. He's like he he. He wasn't even accustomed to fly anymore. During the day he was so used to the green at night. You know this worries me now. Our enemies have that opportunity to have that great equalizer. They'll never match our training jaakko leaving the equipment behind major major mistake. I made that video. That was Hey if i was president..

"There is still a significant number of people in afghanistan who are still trying to leave the country after the us pull out and for afghans who have already left some are in limbo at the us. Air base in ramstein germany. Waiting to fly here to the united states. Npr's rob schmitz reports this hanger. Which can snugly fit. Some of the largest planes in the world was not meant to house people that it is. Today it's nine story. Tall ceiling looms above a series of rectangular enclosures constructed of ten foot tall wire fencing separating groups of afghans dressed in colorful robes tunics. Were allowed to leave these massive cages when it is time for their flight to america a woman in a black hejab cradles her newborn wrapped tightly in a linen cloth on hangers cold floor. With the Americans Gone, Afghanistan Enters Its Uncertain, Taliban-Led Future

"Robin wright a new yorker contributing writer who covers foreign policy joins me to discuss the unforeseen consequences of the war on terror and the future of afghanistan as a haven for al-qaeda and other terrorist groups. Hi robin welcome to the program. So good to talk to you again. A lovely to be with you dorothy you. I visited afghanistan in nineteen ninety nine when the taliban were in power. And you've been back several times since most recently in march. What have afghans had to say to you over the years about the american occupation. Well of course. Afghanistan is not one country it is a very divided country by ethnicity and tribes bisect. And so they don't have one united view. I do think that at the time of the. Us intervention there was a hope among many maybe even most afghans that repressive rule by religious extremists would end. And a new future would include participatory democracy perhaps a decentralisation of power so that the the divisive provinces would each have more autonomy in ruling themselves unfortunately the government that have succeeded the taliban have all been deeply corrupt and so it was a very flawed democracy. And i think that by the end of twenty years there were many afghans. Even those who didn't like the taliban who were disgusted by the government and that was reflected most of all by the collapse of the afghan army which at the end of the day. Just didn't want to fight for the central government.

"People are vaccinated are like he went off the rails But let's listen to rogan. Tell us all the stuff he's taken to Get better to combat the covert. Hello friends so. I got back from the road saturday night. Feeling very weary. I had a headache. And i just felt just run down and just to be cautious. I separated from my family. Slept in a different part of the house and throughout the night. I got fevers sweats. And i i knew what was going on so i got up in the morning. Got tested and turns out. Got cove vid so we immediately through the kitchen sink. All kinds of meds monoclonal antibodies Ivermectin z pack Prednisone everything And i also got an any d- drip and a vitamin drip. And i did that three days in a row and so here. We are on wednesday. And i feel great. I really only had one bad day. Sunday sucked but monday was better. Tuesday fell better than monday. And today i feel good. I actually feel pretty fucking good. That's the good news. The bad news is we have to move friday. The friday show in nashville. So there you go so he is all better at. How do you do that. How do you get all that stuff. Twelve he's i know he's got a lot of company to so that any drip. I'm sure i've heard talk about that before. I think that's anti-aging quote me. If i'm wrong the other other ones a vitamin drip. So i'm sure he does. You know pumps vitamin d vitamin c. When i thought perhaps when i was sick and we did the remote shows last week. That's what i did. I put myself vitamin c and vitamin d. Vitamin d is. There's some research covert so. Why didn't i know but that's i. I took that trajectory. He has a doctor rhonda patrick on his show a lot. And she is a big proponent. So someone wants to do that. It's a lot of work. Yeah but i mean he kicked it in three. It's worth it. I guess but you can't do it if you don't have the means you'll have the the connections but good luck to him. I'm glad he's better. It looks a little little. Ragged fifty four is not shaving. Looks so tired man. Yeah but i'm glad he's back to cancel the show..

"And you're talking about hurtful language or are you talking about layabouts. Who don't pay their rent. You're supporting them. I mean i it must take all. They have not to come out in favor of abortion in the third trimester because they're just radicals that's what they are. They're not public. Health officials there radicals and they are hoping. Also i'm telling you right now. She was asked about rogan. When rogan said twenty one year old healthy 21-year-olds don't need the vaccine. They're hoping that this will be the rare case. Were someone who's not elderly. not obese. Takes a wrong turn. But even if he dies doesn't that just proved point that like joe rogan made his choice. We all have choices. He chose to knock vaccinated pandemic and he died from a virus. Like that's literally the whole point. Is you have a right to take a risk now. Well i think you the people who take risks. Turtle don't think they're going to die. You know this. This radio host phil valentine. There's some liberals were dancing on his grave. He's sixty one years old. I don't think he was obese. But he was probably not great shape and he was an anti vaccine. Rogan's on an anti faxer. We never has been. I'm not a you are. But i'm not anti vaccine. I don't think twenty year old. I certainly don't think twelve year olds. She could vaccine. Does that make you an antibac- cer- again it's like if they had a vaccination against t- to cure dementia right. It'd be wonderful it'd be. It would be great the development of great breakthrough. Would you ask. In a fifteen year olds take it if they had a vaccination against dementia. There are certain things that don't affect children one of them being covered. You know so. Why are you forcing this injection on children. It's and i can't imagine being in your position turtle boy where they're going to get to six year olds you know. They're going to get around six year olds and he'd say yes your year old must be vaccinated and you will fight them and you will resist. But they're going to their goal. They flat out says to make life difficult for the unvaccinated. I don't like the conspiracy stuff either. But don't you have to ask the question that a lot of public funds are going to pay for these vaccinations. So can you not see. The incentive is to try to get as many people take it as possible was the number in the number of pfizer New all new billionaires like twelve guys became billionaires during the pandemic but during the their the value. Yuks you have to have last question right. Where what's the incentive here. No doubt now. You're talking my language following. Well you know what it is created. It is fertile grounds for creating for growing young skeptics. If not conspiracy theorists yes when you say a dozen guys in a billionaires because they have not only Developed a sold as this vaccine forced it on people and and shamed you if you don't do it we don't do. We know if rogan has been vaccine so is talking yesterday on just on twitter that he was vaccinated. But i didn't. I wasn't able to confirm that before we went live today. So that's something. I'm definitely gonna look into today. I can't tell when i see him in. Pictures is he just jacked or z. A little chunky. He's got a lotta muscle this. He's like one of those people that exercise. He's got a lot of free time so you can. Exercise lowers these fitness junkies. One of those legitimate martial artist. Ju jitsu short. but it's like The the fox Of nfl guy jay glazer and he always talks about ma ma and training and everything. And i look at him and he just looks like a little chunky guy to me. I know he probably trains hard. But he's not exactly a lean not exactly lean a lot of muscle i mean. He runs in slogan rogan national champ in in mixed martial arts. So i'm going to guess you gotta be in pretty good shape to do that. And i was talking to Mike clark lenny. Lenny was on rogan. When logan was still in. La and they were getting ready to record. I heard it. It was a great show. It was all down memory lane of a boston comedy. Because rogan came up. And my clark owns giggles and he looks and he handles a lot of comedians and get some jobs and And rogan was a young comedian which is hard to believe that he was one of these young comedians planned. Giggles and nick's comedy stop in boston. I don't even think he's funny on his show. I mean he's good. He's good interviewer and he's smart. But i was surprise when about a year ago. Maybe you're could have been year and a half ago. I think it was on Net flicks. i don't know what it was. But he had to stand up special. Yeah and it was good. I mean he was funniest. Halley was he was a little dangerous little edgy and he was good at but that doesn't come through necessarily on his show. I think it's i think it's a different format. I mean when he's got comedians on hill. They'll they'll batra back and forth and it's a little bit funnier. No his standup. I think he's probably a better writer. A comedy writer than he is. I mean pro. I liked the show. Sometimes i don't get the whole like i don't understand why it's so popular all he does. He's not that interesting himself. He just invites interesting on his show is just like oh that's interesting. And what's interesting. Is he says anything remotely. I don't say controversial just opinionated. It goes viral like he talks about cancer culture and so he canceled cultures out of control. Cancer sucks he says the same thing we say or millions of other say and boom it gets it gets a video clip get set out and it's everywhere and it's like. Oh joe. rogan comes out and gets canceled culture. He probably audience in the country though bigger than tuck because they always influential any noise influential with not just conservatives but also some libertarians but And i'm sure many people on the left also listened to him and that's why they're threatened by people like him is because he has such a big reach and they're like okay you know tucker carlson's only gonna talk the right wingers or is this guy might influence some people on our team. If he says. I'm crazy we need to shut that down. I think he's at bernie on right sitting at bernie on roy like some really really like some. I'm going door stem. He endorsed doors which was stupid because he doesn't. There's no substance to. We talked about it at the time. He just said i really like. He's a good guy like he doesn't smartest people think he just says. you know. i was smoking peyote last night. And i really like bernie's ideas. He's really cool. Find rogan that interesting. It's just the the people that he has shower at your. He can't make the case. He endorsed burning but he couldn't support it with any real substance. But that's okay. He he that in that way he kinda remains. You know a man of mystery. He means a guy that you can't put into a box like us but just to finish the story leading and micro waiting for him to come in at his studio in. La three cents like an airplane. Hangar and the door opens and incomes. Flying in an tesla is Rogan and next to the the setup where they're doing the show is a boxing ring. He's going to hold. Jim in this league airplane hangar with whatever weights and all excess equipment and a ring a a mixed martial arts ring. I guess you're right. He does a lot of time and he works out hard but he still looks a little beefy. And whenever you see someone who. And i realize you're not supposed to talk about this turtle blood you see someone who dies young or fairly young covert. They show a picture. It'll be someone with it or vaccinated or whatever the you know. Nowadays it'll be unvaccinated guy and then you see them and they look like you know. They're very very overweight. And you're not allowed to say it as turtle boy points out has been yapping for a year and a half never ever does. He say it'd be a good idea to get up and take a walk. Haven't seen numbers either on that being a co or komo are our komo's biddy how what. What percentage who died are obese like eighty eighty. Haven't look at the data with japan. Japan is one of the least fat countries in the world somehow and nobody dies of in japan when they get it. It's like over the most obvious. Statistic is that obesity equals death for covert. Just i mean and that's fine if you don't if you're fat and you don't want give vaccinated..

Biden Should Be Impeached for His Phone Call With the President of Afghanistan

"Biden told afghan president they needed to change perception of the talibans rapid advance as biden continues to report claims that no one could have known that the afghan army would collapse bombshell transcripts from july reveal. He pressured afghan president ghani to create perception that the taliban wasn't winning whether it's true or not so somebody from the national security apparatus leak. This the reason why. I don't know reuters on tuesday. Released released excerpts from the call between biden and ghani right before. The president fled. You see joe biden. You should have learned your lesson. The national security apparatus listens everything a president does. Donald trump learned that lesson so biden. Said there's a need whether it's true or not to project. A different picture biden knew that the country was falling. Apart biden knew that kabul was going to be taken. Joe biden said in this call here and there is a need. There's a need to project a different picture. I need to tell you the perception around the world and in parts of afghanistan. I believe that things are not going to go well in terms of the fight against the taliban joe biden new and then joe biden says well. I don't think anybody anticipated it. He sat on the phone call that he was anticipating. I talked to somebody at high level of the intelligence service yesterday. An inside source and a bombshell allegation. Afghanistan Withdrawal: Could Chaos Have Been Avoided?

"A follow up to our show with john measham last week now in the seven years of presenting these program on radio national of not received such enthusiastically positive feedback from listeners. As id to last week's episode when professor michel defended the us withdrawal from afghanistan. Well that many of you were persuaded by me. Shamas argument you still wanted whether the baden administrations evacuation plans could have been handled a lot. Better after all the us withdrawal. Well it's been widely seen as a humiliation and embarrassment a betrayal and a disaster. So was there a way to avoid a messy exit from afghanistan. It's a good question which put to join me shama. This week tom. My view is that there was no way to avoid a messy exit. It didn't matter whether donald trump was in charge or dwight eisenhower. Had come back from the dead and been put in charge. It just wouldn't have mattered. It would have been messy. Under any circumstances hell may explain why the key starting point is to recognize that. We're talking about moving. Huge numbers of people out of afghanistan very quickly We moved as it is a one hundred twenty two thousand people in fifteen days and their estimates that there were another six hundred thousand afghanis who wanted to get out and most of them had worked with us in one capacity or another so. We're talking about huge numbers. Now whenever you move huge numbers quickly you have to do. Two things. one is extensive. Planning it has to be extensive on the ground planning and number two at the first sign that there's real trouble at the first sign that the afghan army is collapsing. You have to head for the exits. Those are two necessary conditions so the argument goes to make this work

Pentagon Announces Last US Troops Have Left Afghanistan

"Says the war in Afghanistan. Is over. Tonight's withdrawal signifies both the end of the military component of the evacuation, but also the end of the nearly 20 year mission that began in Afghanistan shortly after September. 11th 2000 and one general Kenneth McKenzie Jr. The commander of Centcom, made it official Monday afternoon and said Americans can be proud. Since mid August. 79,000 civilians have been evacuated. Including 6000, Americans in all coalition partners and the U. S evacuated 123,000 people, and yet there are still Americans who didn't get out. So the military phase of this operation is ended the diplomatic sequel to that Will now begin, he said. The State Department will now be negotiating hard to get other Afghan partners out. He defended their logistics as the security situation devolved when the Afghan army collapsed long before they were expected to Adding that he thinks the Taliban now has its hands full with Isis K, though he said he suspects the U. S military disrupted some of their abilities with weekend strikes on three Isis K planners. Look, there's a lot of heartbreak associated with his departure. We did not get everybody out that we wanted to get out. But I think of which stayed another 10 days. Louis, we wouldn't have gotten everybody out that we wanted to get out and they're still would have been people who would have been disappointed with that. It's a It's a tough situation, saying this does not end the opportunity for Americans and Afghan partners to leave, estimating the number of Americans still there to be in the low hundreds, he said. The State Department will be working on that. Which is where Secretary of State Antony Blinken comes in. He addressed the withdrawal Monday night, We will hold the Taliban to its pledge to let people freely depart Afghanistan. Taliban is committed to let anyone with proper documents leave the country in a safe and orderly manner. They said. This privately and publicly many times after the final flight out, a Taliban spokesman said, with the last U S soldier leaving Afghanistan is now independent. My biggest

"And this is why you despise the corrupt American media. Cut 11 go! The question has been raised. Why didn't the U. S get out Americans and are Afghani friends before the Taliban were able to take control of Kabul? You warned about this in a cable Were you ignored? We put out repeated warnings every three weeks through Americans going back to march or April, each one named stronger terms. Leave now leave immediately. Never in my my 40 years of working, uh, since I began working at the State Department have I seen such strong such strong language used People chose not to leave. That's that's their business. That's their right. Let let's let's let's let's slow down here. What else were these? People told By the president of the United States. What else were they talk? But there's no way the Taliban can take over the country. It's not going to fall that fast and so forth. And so they've been told a lot of things. These people. So here we have this guy now who wants you to believe these citizens are They're not victims. That they sealed their own fate. Now, Many of these people who went to Afghanistan went to Afghanistan because their Afghan Americans, they have family members in Afghanistan. Either because those family members wanted to stay where they can't get into the United States or any other countries. Some cases they have elderly parents who are sick. Some cases they have individuals and their families have been serving the Afghan army. I got injured or they want to check them out and make sure everything is okay. They make it sound like these pants. You know there there They are there in Afghanistan. We taught them to get out. They just wouldn't get out.

How America Lost Its Way in Afghanistan

"The disaster. In afghanistan is a grave blow to america's standing in the world and much of the blame for that lies squarely with joe biden if the propagandists of the taliban had scripted the collapse of america's twenty mission to reshape afghanistan. They could not have come up with more harrowing images as insurgents swept into kabul desperate afghans terrified about what the victorious zealots might do chased departing american cargo planes down the runway trying to clamber into the landing gear and inevitably falling to their deaths. The american backed government had surrendered without a fight. Something that american officials were insisting would not happen only days before afghans were left in such a horrifying bind that clinging to the wheels of a hurtling aircraft seemed their best option. America has spent two trillion dollars in afghanistan. More than two thousand american lives have been lost not to mention countless afghans and yet even if afghans are more prosperous now than when america invaded afghanistan is back to square one. The taliban control more of the country than they did when they lost power. They are better armed. Having seized the weapons. America showered on the afghan army. And they have now won the ultimate affirmation defeating a superpower. The insurgents have made a show of magnanimity pledging that they will not take revenge on those who worked for the toppled government and insisting that they will respect women's rights within their interpretation of islamic law but that interpretation kept most girls out of school and most women confined to their homes when the group was last in power in the nineteen ninety s brutal punishments. "They're still tens of thousands of americans that some estimates show that are still in afghanistan. What is the strategy to get these people out. I mean this was reckless. And i mean i. I've made the argument again. I don't think that joe biden means well that this was intentionally chaotic so try to create another refugee crisis than five million refugees now in afghanistan and the sinister brewed politics of it is the left. The collectivist europe up in america refugee crises benefit them. It helps changed the demographics of a nation. And the you remember. The series were refugee crisis. But what what what is the. What is the solution than to get these people out. I mean we're gonna have to go reinvade. I mean what what is this is this. I'm telling you. I m wondering why almost our entire media apparatus is almost singularly focused on the refugee crisis. Every time i see that kyron what are we gonna do about refugees or On our allies now listen. We should take care of figure out a way to take care of our interpreters people who who who fought for us but that conversation has to happen much later and it also doesn't mean that the united states of america should shoulder that burden along right we should be engaging with a regional allies to help us alleviate the refugee burden but charlie ten thousand americans mrs this situation in afghanistan. And i'll just put it simply as i can. Afghanistan's totally collapsed. It's fallen there are tens of their ten thousand americans right up to ten thousand americans still trap in kabul and surrounded by the enemy in joe biden is missing action issued one statement. Where by the way. He didn't blame the taliban condemned the taliban all but blame the afghan people the afghan army almost ten times. The reality is is. It wasn't a very complex situation right

We Have to Accept That the Afghan Military Lost

"Bring up the idea of the song cost and how that's the one commonality every time we see a loss, material loss financial loss. Economic loss because it applies here, too. It had been 20 years. Clearly the Afghan population, not stereotyping. Everyone there. I don't do that. It's unfair to them. But the Afghan population writ large was not embracing democracy. They just weren't The way we needed them to the Afghan army, although many fought valiantly, largely largely did not. When the time came right for them to defend the country. They didn't That's not to knock him. Many fought and died. They had a lot of casualties and a lot of deaths. But the sad reality is the Army lost. Are we not going to accept that? Are we going to gloss past that? We're just gonna pretend it didn't happen so we can give the American people a a A pseudo rosy assessment of what's really going on. No, No, they fought Bray. Okay, point taken, they lost. That's a fact. That's a sunk cost. They lost surrendered equipment surrendered weapons surrendered Blackhawks the Taliban as an air force. How competent is we'll only find out in the coming weeks Sadly. They lost. I'm not questioning anybody's brave. I don't know. Well, every single Afghan military officer to be able to gauge your individual bravery. I'm telling you the truth because you deserve it. They lost This was the son cost. How long are we going to be there? Bring this up because Donald Trump had an interesting interview last night with Sean Hannity. Where he brought up. The very idea of retribution and revenge is the strategy the same concept Michael Anton brings up in this piece, and I think it's time we re evaluate that a concept completely

"That were prepared to take the last american diplomat and then the last soldier would have gotten on the last c seventeen. That did not happen. Because joe biden made political choices to maximize as senator cotton said chest thumping that yesterday became angry. Blame shifting. I'll be right back with representative stopped poker back hugh hewitt inside the beltway live on. I guess it's the fifth day of the unfolding tragedy in kabul the catastrophe in kabul. I am joined by representatives. Scott franklin florida's fifteenth congressional district nine hundred ninety six graduate of the united states naval academy navy off carriers for many years retired as a commander from the navy. He mobilized after nine eleven. I'm not sure if he flew over afghanistan congressman franklin. Welcome back to the senior since dinner and alexandria and i forget. Did you ever fly over afghanistan and good morning you actually know. Unfortunately i was. I was on the staff side at that point but as i've watched all this unfold it's just been incredibly disappointing Four days after nine. Eleven i was on a plane headed to bahrain and spent the next six weeks or so planning the initial strikes into afghanistan and then was called up centcom after that so i went from having this You know gut punch of watching the buildings fall on nine eleven and then feeling like i had an opportunity to go over and do something about it and now here it is twenty years later almost to the day We've got these these visual images. That will never forget that. What a disaster. We're seeing unfolding fantasy now representative. Franklin the administration is using axios this morning to put out a message that the cupboard was bear when they took over there was no plan. On the trump administration part to evacuate diplomats billions humanitarian aid workers. Interpreters etcetera is that adequate to this situation to explain the fiasco. And it's not a fiasco catastrophe. Is there any blame to be shifted to the trump administration. Absolutely not this. The timing and the manner of this departure is all of joe biden's choosing didn't have to be this way would not have been this way under president trump and But it's it's it's like we've seen for the last seven months at every turn every mistake. Is someone else's fault other than the administration's but it's all of their own doing now. I wanna play for you martinsson yesterday. Talking about what happened is a former bush speechwriter. He was on fox and friends or a fox and with bill. Hemmer and dana perino. Let's play the mark one of the things. We did in afghanistan in two thousand fifteen. If we're not there nation building we were not even fighting the war. What we were doing was we were providing them with what jackie described on your show earlier. We were providing them with intelligence mission planning and air support and they couldn't they get it's clear they couldn't defend the country without that. Name me a us ally anywhere in the world. Who could do you think. South korea could defend itself against the north korean invasion with the us military there. If they could than we should get out. Do you think. Taiwan could defend itself against the chinese invasion without the us military japan germany any of these countries germany could defended itself against a soviet invasion ukraine could defend itself against russia no. Us ally in the world could defend itself without some sort of level of us support. That's why we have troops stationed in korea troops in japan. That's why we have troops in germany during the cold war to prevent a soviet invasion over the full the gap so all these people running around blaming the afghan army because we abandoned them and then saying they didn't fight is just shameful. It's victim shaming that. We abandon these people we were. We were the goal in. Afghanistan was not to create a jeffersonian democracy. Then goal in. Afghanistan was to make sure that there was a government in place that didn't wake up every morning saying that america must be destroyed provides sanctuary to terrorists who wanted to actually destroy america. That mission was being accomplished by our united states. Military in afghanistan we're succeeding. We're doing it with twenty six hundred troops which is less than we have in spain today and the idea that we pull that out and abandoned that country to escape it hand back to the taliban shameful congressman franklin d agree with martinsson that this is blame victim shaming the president. Did last night. Absolutely i mean. I think that piece of spot on i hadn't heard it but i i've already been noting that with other people. Talk about this this notion of forever wars and we needed to bring our folks home you know we. We've always maintained a presence in korea. Germany you name it heck. We've even still got people in cuba after the spanish american war and the thought of keeping Some troops there to help stabilize what we left behind. After we brought our troops home is nothing new. And it's what we should've done so For these afghanis to to see the really read the writing. They're going to be a abandoned by the by the administration. it's no wonder that they Have decided not to fight against the taliban they can't do it without the ice assets That we had committed to them previously. But for the president's basically elude that in the secretary of defense to and he should know better to allude that these folks are cowards. Because they're not willing to fight for themselves that's just the shameful for the president to for a guy who's never served they in uniform life to make those kinds of insinuations. I just think it's despicable. Martine added that since two thousand fifteen in the handover of combat operations fifty two to fifty four thousand. Afghan soldiers have been. Kia doesn't talk to the wounded and that in this year alone. Twenty eight hundred. Afghan soldiers have died fighting the taliban.

How Canada and the Western World Failed Afghanistan

"I'm jordan heath rawlings. This is the big story. Stephen save holds the patterson chair and international affairs at carleton university. Among the books he's written is adapting in the dust. Lessons learned from canada's war in afghanistan. And he also co hosts a podcast about canada's national security called the battle rhythm hasty. Hello i'm doing all right like many canadians. I kind of spent the weekend. seeing progressively more and more disturbing images coming out of afghanistan especially kabul and. I'm i'm wondering if you could maybe describe what we're actually seeing and hearing about in afghanistan right now. Well it's the collapse of the government that we've been trying to build for the past twenty years The taliban were kicked out of the country by american forces and then in two thousand and two There developed a un effort that became a nato effort called isaf the international security assistance force along with a variety of other international partners to try to build a self sustaining afghan government. And then two thousand fourteen. Nato largely pulled out three years. After canada pulled out of combat and for the past seven years there was a nato effort to train the afghan army and last year. Donald trump Negotiated deal the taliban that would vote the remaining few americans that were left in afghanistan out before this summer there about two thousand five hundred americans soldiers mostly doing training and doing coordination type stuff and So that was Trump's decision last year and then when it became president there was a question about whether he would live by the deal which had a deadline of may fifth at all. Americans are supposed to be out by may fifth and the by racial thought. That would be too fast. That that we would be able to get our stuff in our people out in his In his mind and so they sent the data september eleventh and over the course of the summer The taliban made a series of deals with a variety of actors within afghanistan that led to the collapse of the afghan national army forces that were guarding a variety of places around the country until the only thing that was left was couple which fell this weekend.

Sen. Tom Cotton Says Biden Left Afghan Military Unprepared

"In this withdraw, We pulled our air support. We pulled our intelligence. We shut down our main base. We pulled out the contractors. And General Keane has said, you know when you do that. After your teaching. This army have taught this army as weak as it is. That you need the fusion of these various activities in order to fight and then you pull all those out and you leave our main base without even telling them. He said That insignificant part completely undermine them. You agree with that? Yes, I do. Mark. I mean, the Afghan army is not 101st airborne. Let's be clear. But President Biden kneecap them in every way. Um, they weren't even really that all that reliant on American air power in recent years Mark they have their own air force that we have helped stand up. Primarily helicopters were close air support. But we pulled out so many of the civilian contractors who just do the basic maintenance and logistics work for them over the last few months that those helicopters couldn't fly anymore. And if you train an army to be reliant on and to conduct operations in conjunction with close air support, and all of a sudden that air support is not available. Guess what? They're not going to be nearly as Well trained and not going to operate as effectively as it could have. I mean, it'd be like taking American rains or soldiers who have been trained for decades to rely on highly networked operations. With support from artillery and airpower and to say Okay, now you have no radios. You have no sat. Com You have no artillery. You have no air sports. We'd be better than the Afghan National Army, Of course, but it was. It is not the way they were trained to

Are We Getting the Full Truth on Afghanistan?

"You know, I just have to take exception to some of my friends on TV and radio. They just do. We were not at war in Afghanistan for 20 years. We had troops in Afghanistan. Our combat forces were removed in 2014. We were in a backup role for the most part. To the Afghan military. Intelligence. Air power. And we trained as the Wall Street Journal pointed out. The Afghan military. Basically fight is the American military does Coordination of troops with their power, Obviously no naval power necessary. And with Intelligence. It's a relatively big country. With all kinds of very difficult. Mountainous areas and so forth, so intelligence is crucial. When you pull out the air support, and you don't even tell The forces you're aligned with that you're doing that. When in the dark of night you remove your forces. From the major air base there that was actually quite protected. And you pull out your intel officials, your intel people. And when Biden says the Afghan army doesn't know how to fight in general, Keane says what they've lost between 50 and 70,000 of their own men. We're not getting all the truth here. Ladies and gentlemen, including from Libertarians, never Trumpers. Isolationists and so forth. Goal isn't to relitigate this. My goal is just to be honest about

"I didn't spend a huge amount of time in Afghanistan, but I was there for about three weeks back in December, 2010 in my prior line of work. Was at the embassy. I was in Kabul. I was at the airport in Kabul. I was in Bagram. I spent some time I have headquarters there. I know a little bit about it. I spent a lot of time with intelligence people on the ground over there. This is not a self praise. Look at me. I was over there. There's nothing to do with it. I'm just trying to establish some simple bona fight is that everybody on the ground knew this would happen if we did this. Pull out this way, everyone. They knew it 11 years ago when I was there, everybody knew it. Everyone. The Afghan army wasn't ready. They were never going to be ready. It was going to take generations. Everybody knew that. They were not going to be ready. Listen to me, please. Everybody knew that. Stop believing these nonsense bureaucrats, politicians, liars and losers telling you otherwise, like, Oh, my gosh. We all got caught by surprise. There was the Biden administration had mistakenly calculated on this pull out because many of you were asking how the hell could this have gotten so bad? And the answer is very simple. The Biden administration is so dumb and so unep. I'm not kidding. They actually thought They knew the Afghan army was going to collapse. Don't believe any of the nonsense Despite their lives I'll get to later. They actually thought the Taliban would let them escape. I'm not kidding, folks. Sources We developed over the course to do with the show are second to none. They actually believe the Taliban would let them escape. But now they didn't and now we have a

Afghanistan: The Taliban Has Gained Ground at Surprising Speed

"Afghan army is quickly losing ground throughout the country to the taliban now to bolster its flagging military. The government is arming militias to help in the fight and by the way it should be said. This was the expectation the expectation was that if the us left afghanistan and foreign troops also left that the taliban would do a takeover right. This isn't the surprising part. The surprising part is the speed. And that's what's caught everyone off guard. They started by taking a parental capital zaranj. Just over a week ago right. The taliban have captured the capital of afghanistan's nimruz province as they step up their across the country earlier in the day gunman shot and killed the head of the afghan government's media and inflammation and really taken almost every provincial capital since With kabul really the last main wanting to fall the situation on the ground in kabul rapidly deteriorates. Us forces there are rushing to evacuate all personnel from the embassy or images online. Coming out right now inside kabul the presidential palace overrun by the taliban as you noted. Us officials have confirmed to fox news that afghan president ashraf ghani fled the country. So at this point you've basically seen a complete collapse of the afghan military of afghan authority in just over a week or so. The blistering taliban gains have reportedly taken some us officials by surprise but many this week including president biden have kept the focus on the afghan governments. Need to defend itself. Gotta fight for themselves simply stunned everyone in the us and around the world and it is arguably already one of the most successful guerrilla urged campaigns in history. I mean think about it. You have a militant group that in a matter of days not only looks like it's going to depose a government but a government backed by a major foreign power. It's quite

"And freshly fallen Afghanistan deteriorates this morning. Catastrophic situation overnight. So many terrified Afghans right on the tarmac at Kabul airport, desperate to get on flights leaving the country reports that the U. S military had to resort to firing rounds in the air to stop military planes from being overrun at CNBC's Julia McFarlane. We were watching in here on our monitors in the studio, the scenes from Kabul with people literally running next to these airplanes, it looks Like a bad movie. It's just You can't believe what you're seeing their terrifying scenes that the photos almost like fake. The videos look fake, and you have to wonder what's going through these people's heads right? Because there's There is huge risk in climbing on the outside of an airplane. But if you're willing to do that, think about the risk you're trying to avoid. Well put correspondent Ian Panel has been covering the war. The entire 20 year span of the conflict he was in the capital is the Taliban took over at the moment, the streets are empty, their quiet, but there is a mood of dread and fear about what the new dawn Is going to bring for the country and particularly for the women and Children. You know if the Biden administration NATO that combined intelligence communities the Afghan army, the Afghan government were totally unprepared for the rapid pace of events of the last two weeks. Well, the Taliban. Certainly one, not. ABC Chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl addresses some of those points complete and total collapse. Within days of the Afghan security forces did come as a surprise The speed of that collapsed but not the fact of the collapse. In fact, in April, just a week before President Biden announced his withdrawal plan The DNA. M president Biden's top intelligence advisers warned that the Afghan government was unlikely to be able to hold back the Taliban, which, um brings up the question why we're thinking people out sooner. I did a lot of work with the afghan army and afghan national police Afghan militia running around there to suck. And i absolutely hated dead. I hated him but asking army wasn't bad. They impe was horrible. The the actually the sniper. That was shooting at us all the time with all those machine guns that we leveled a mountain that was an eighteen. 'cause you one time and part part of these missions right especially going margin. Correct me if i'm wrong but like you know the whole we got to win hearts and minds. We wanna out the taliban wherever we have them. But we gotta win the hearts and minds. Because now we're dealing with your training up the local the local militia. And you're trying to get these guys up to speed to where we can pull out and go somewhere else and and at some point abbott. Have a plan so that you can protect your own country. But that never was never really was the case. You know you have turps. You have interpreters that you just don't know if you can trust them or not and explain that. That's that's it's a crazy thing to after a second guess settled time right especially you know. You're i really lucked out on my interpreters. Interpreters is some fucking saw interpreters like he. "No, certainly not. So you know, that that that helmeted it would be considerably. I think we weekend in this. The americans. Then what about the rest of the international troops have relatively swimming force that stay this since two thousand fourteen and living training Afghan forces as well. They have an and the Afghan army to give them credit have not done to you badly. They did a really pretty good job of securing the last presidential election. The two both rounds in two thousand fourteen but a huge cost that the the the casualty rate is enormous and the idea that there are going to be an international coalition that stay there in Afghanistan is not terribly unpopular in Afghanistan. It's unpopular with the Taliban. But there's a very good argument to be made for troops to remain. I guess the as well, you touched on this done Janas. I'd like to get your response, which to this Jonathan is the fact that look whatever happens if there is some sort of a out, it's the protection of the strides that have been taken because yes, there have been the preservation of such basic human rights, also education health care women's rights as well up. -solutely? How you save those in a situation where you're likely to have the Taliban fairly United in their side and fragmentation as I understand it. Among the other political groups there comes down to the whole question enforcement implementation over what was already been achieved and then pushing forward too long ball and Tanya, let's let's look at another point here because yes, we know that the reasonable certainty for Mr. Trump's perspective to get to get out of Afghanistan is acting on a promise to to the base to bring American troops home, also reinforcing this isolation is position. But. Is it also flip side to this? That may be if if he can crack a dude it's two fingers up to to Obama to Bush all the predescessors because they didn't get the big deal. So look, you know, all the odds I managed to achieve. I pulled something out of the hat. You didn't get a big deal with the Taliban making peace between the Trump's been Michigan spin machine will certainly present. It that way. The Trump has been machine. I'm sure we'll d say, but then people who are buying that spin will eat it up and Marta war Afghanistan has been subject to nearly four decades of continuous war. There is not the big deal the giant fantastic signature on a piece of paper. That's gonna that's going to end that he's not doing. He's going to do it in Afghanistan. I don't think he's going to do it in Israel Palestine. I think we should really stop focusing on the even the concept of the big deal and remember who were dealing with. The cautionary tale. Of course underlying this of the Singapore summit with North Korea. And so on with with Trump ballyhooing that as the greatest do we can all asleep safety our beds since on its on. And now you've got the head of intelligence saying actually North Korea's going on doing what it was doing before. And Trump saying, I don't really believe this. But I think we know who we think is telling. But also as well you've got to Trump's personality when you you look at the potential for a deal in Afghanistan because there's always the fear that whatever progress is made because suddenly be derailed courtesy of a stray comment or an unguarded Ramal contributor. So is there. Anybody left who can tape his mouth and also surprise his fingers? There is some very there are some very experienced bright decent people working in. But I'm still on a in this arena as in so many others. I'm just still hunkering down on just hoping we can make it through to the end of his term his single term. Certainly the end of the week is will. But what about Afghanistan neighbors as well? Because what what is the mood music among amongst them, very briefly because it's always been antagonism between Pakistan and the United States bizarre sense. Now that perhaps it's time that they use whatever influence they can bring to bear on this well Pakistan at the big players. I mean, they've just released his the the person who's gonna lead the Taliban negotiations from eight years in prison.
