I don't know about buying team ninja because I don't know team team that just status. But we all know that these souls like action games have been killing it for a decade now, right? And they're becoming more and more popularized. They're becoming more and more appreciated. Elden ring is selling like hotcakes. Like eldering is one of the bestselling games of the year, if not the bestselling game of the year right now. I wonder if PlayStation's like, yo, we gotta own somebody who can do that. And team ninja, I think, has been doing their thing. I know people who love neo, riser ronin has been worked on for a while now. I think that by the time that comes out, that is going to be a very quality, very high tier team ninja game fingers crossed. But even for me, playing, I played the wo long fallen dynasty demo. This weekend. And that was a dope demo. That's a dope video game right there. It was so dope that I went and I downloaded neo two, and now I'm ready to play neo two at some point. But there's quality there that I think might not be might not be comparable in terms of how the audience perceives it to something like from software. But I do think they're in the ballpark of but people appreciate this. People like those people dig what team ninja has to do. I wonder if I wonder if there's something there. At the very least, obviously they're trying to get exclusive exclusives from them. So Sony sees value in what team ninja does. So yeah, definitely. I think that's a fair assessment, especially with Microsoft buying studios left and right. And Sony kind of has to pass to keep up. And we kind of saw that with the bungee acquisition. I mean, that was huge for them and I know that's not something that you would immediately think that they would do because sponges more of a live service, multiplayer company, and Sony historically puts a lot of marketing on their single player cinematic experiences. I didn't know very well before that podcast. I've only really heard the name. I loved that podcast. I wanna thank mars bars posting. That was from october of two thousand twenty. So it's from before the show was where the show is now. The show had blown up obviously but maybe not to the extent and hurt their take the way they talk about the show in that podcast is unique in very specific to some of the things that that professor has researched and some of the things that went into the show. It seems very clear to me that her research influence the writing of the show. They say as in that podcast. So it's a fascinating podcast. And i wanna thank mars bars. Were putting that in the discord. I would not have been able to listen to that if not so. Thank you very much for sharing. That and i encourage people to check that out. The podcast unlocking us. He's finding a way to make it fit in a way that not only goes for him but goes for the rest of the group. And i thought just whatever dr sharon said to him. We don't even need to see like you're saying it's almost better that we don't but she yet again works magic that said the team loses and the team is now worse off than when before dr sharon came to the team record wise. So the question. I think we're continuing to ask ourselves if we care about the fortunes and the fate of afc richmond football club and not just the members of it is. How do we get there like. How do we get to the point where we're on a heater where we're winning where we go on a run where we go on a copper on where we make a battle our way to six place so that we can get into the playoff to see who gets promoted which we can talk about. I don't know if that's going to be something that comes up on the season but it's a little bit complicated. How they decide who comes back up and so we want to know how. Afc richmond gets there. And i feel like we're going to spend some time over the next couple of episodes especially figuring out because if we're going to have an upward trajectory for their results this season i think it's got start before the year turns calendar wise and their season. I think they've got a really get the ball rolling on that soon. I wouldn't shock me if it's early as the next episode. But i think that's where the rubber has to meet the road. "Like pressure sometimes produces this like you hear about people whose parents were very hard in them and that produce greatness like bondo with joshua tree so the question i have is jamie jimmy tarts good now. He's good with his teammates. He seems to be good like everything is good. But we need or afc. Richmond needs jamie tar to be great and can jamie tarbey great without the motivation that was previously driving him or will he just get. Ted lasts into this position where he's happy and doesn't really care about results where he's not results oriented in a job where your results are one or two percent how you and everything around. You will be judged not how nice if a person you are or how much personal growth you experienced. The judgement occurs what is printed in the newspapers. If that's still something that happens is your record. It's your it's your statistics it's your chievements. You're judged by your chievements not how great your spirit was how nice of a team that you are but how well your team achieved and how well you achieved. Jamie tart is an achiever based on negative energy and you remove that negative energy. And now he's just a freewheeling nice goofy guy is he still going to be an achiever and i think that's the question that we can put on all of afc richmond and then all comes from the ted lasts away. Yeah we'll look a very a very good. There may be able to get under the hood on that with jamie and may be able to be like all right. So what what were the aspects of that negative space that occupied so much of your drive and your energy that you can rediscover in healthier aspects of your life like how can you tap back into the roots of some of that stuff And i do think that. That's like that's bertel territory for somebody of the professional pedigree of dr sharon and and the kind of stuff that she can dry. And i'll tell you antonio like i really wanted to see more of sharon in jamie together and to see more of that session beyond just keeley taking jamie therapy. Which was amazing. By the way in jamie's sitting down and being like so. Just talk about me self. And she's like yeah. It's basically all right. I ever wanted you know. He's very ideal therapy candidates. It's great that he's gonna hopefully divine value from it so but initial instinct was to be like kind of frustrated that we didn't get that therapy seen that we so haven't really gotten that therapy scene. I actually think it's a really artful choice on the shows. Part to keep us at arm's length from from from that stuff because as much as this isn't ensemble show and there are so many different players that we are deeply invested in both in terms of the littoral players but also the cast members just overall. This is a show called ted last. So it's about ted lasso in his influence on people primarily and for ted. Clearly this is like a sacred art that he does not know. This is like stephen strange..

"So i appreciate that. It's usually a sign of a show. That knows what it's doing that knows where it's going and that feels pretty good about it that it doesn't need to stretch these things out. I'm that said you can burn through plot to quickly and get yourself into a position where you have diminishing returns so. I am interested to see how we make progress from here. Are we going to keep burning at this pace. I will say. I don't think we had any results any match results in this episode so even though we did burn through a lot of story lines that they could have dragged out as far as the story of. Afc richmond team. I don't think we've progressed that at all we haven't kicked the ball any further down the field so we still have plenty to go with regard to the story of the fortunes of the team and if the overall arkansas season ends up with them coming back up we've got plenty of room to really stretch our legs out in that front But the interpersonal dynamics are very much still front and center here as opposed to the success of the team. Yeah for sure. I really enjoyed this one as well. I really i really like seeing. I'm glad that we're not drying out too long. That ted and doc are going to be like extraordinary adversaries you know like i think the way that they handled that this week was good. I loved seeing him not really be able to get all the way through biscuits with the boss and using that tactic here to great effect but also that it didn't like fall on deaf ears like it just was re. It was received differently but it wasn't received antagonistically necessarily and. I think that we're getting some interesting stuff with ted specifically some of the choices. He makes some of the decisions that he makes this week. That seem not great others. That seem really great. Some that fall somewhere in between and much of those decisions and really so much of the story this week. I'm generally i think threads through the return of jamie tar. Not just in a major way in the show but literally to afc richmond by the end of the episode as he has as the lust stops here for jamie tarts reality tv career. Antonia i again. We we wouldn't. We could have really. That's another thing we could have drawn out for weeks on end. We could have had jamie on the show. We could have seen more show contact. We could have the yoga. Moms and roy taking it all in and instead jamie's gone from la la stops era lust island or whatever we want to call it He's gone right away and he's back on the streets and it's i think a really good episode This is probably more so than just about anyone that we've seen over the course of the series a really good episode fulfilled dunster the actor who plays jamie tart and seeing a lot of a lot of different shades. The vulnerability is really really freaking me out right now to quote one of your favorite movies josh. One of our favorite departed but his vulnerability really shines through throughout. And i think it's a great opportunity to see him at his lowest moments and really see him struggling and and get him back on richmond. I will be interested to see of. Course if the jamie tart that we know from season one the one that predominantly we have seen in the course of this show Shows up at all. Is this true. One eighty s. He adjusted his ready to to come back and really be dominant or are they going to be more. Push pull moments with jamie tart. Yeah i think inevitably yes. But i think one of the things. The show does handle does really well as it handles..

"Let's talk about somebody who is no longer on the pitch. Let's talk right can't And so roy can't has retired We got we have that answer now. Like definitely felt like a sendoff of sorts at the end of season. One and we had some questions about like Like after allegations he going to actually still be valuable to the team. Or at least i had that question you. I'm like no probably not and so now we get to see like what does roy can look like after. Afc richmond after his his time as a as a professional soccer player. And now he is. He's coaching babies team. Which is amazing. He and keely or not only still together but like really together and seem to be working really really well together. He's still seeing the yoga moms. He's watching reality. Tv he seeing jamie tar on love island which i wanna talk about it a bigger way a little while after we're done talking about roy specifically he's going to have this really big hearted speech to rebecca about like. Don't settle for fine like you deserve somebody who's gonna make you feel like you've been struck by lightning so there's a lot going on with roy emotionally in. They're still figuring out how to lake. Have him on the show and it feels like they've succeeded in that effort. But then there arwa these possible like career path questions right antonio like He's he's certainly welcome to come back He seems to not be wanting to come and watch richmond play. I'm sure it's very triggering for him. Does that wind him in You know a wind up at dr fieldstone office at some point in time does it get him into a coaching position he is. He's a coach. Now of sorts is certainly a question. That's on on the on the table and then there's also dislike sports caster possibility which seems more interesting to me Then maybe it would have without this ending by interesting..

"Npr is a cat. Yeah yeah i. I don't think that that fully hits because of how much you enjoy. Ted lasso point. I think that is that is basically it. As we're we're moving into the finale here and talking about that one. I will say like percolating in my mind. Your idea about how there needs to be more in. The show is likely to explore further consequences of what rebecca has done here and as we talked about earlier. Like what will the show do with rupert at some point in time i think something that i can certainly imagine i will. I will qualify this as a prediction. In fact is the the the world large learning about the real reasons of why rebecca higher ted the lengths to which she went to destroy richmond from within and the subsequent need for her to either be removed. Or step down from richmond and rupert. Who now once again has skin in the game right. Like he's going to have some ownership via via. Beck's taking on more of a role there and ted having to deal with rupert as richmond is rebounding that would be my prediction for where that is going to ultimately go. Wow that's rough. I that's bleak. I don't know. I mean you're right that that rupert being in the show. There's probably some way to do that. Isn't just simply an antagonised. Rebecca anymore that there are probably ways to do that. I don't understand why roper wouldn't just fire ted if that were to come to pass but it will be interesting to see public favor. He's actually doing well with the team. He can gain respect game at a certain point beloved in the community It'd be it would be. It would be tough to figure out exactly how the show remains intact but the job but then again. That's not our job and this is a show that is apparently designed for three season story. Arc show this is the kind of thing that happens at the end of the second season in where we at going into third season is it that ted has also walked away and we walk in the season. Three with afc richmond back and eyeing the championship for a third season to put this in the language of another sports oriented drama. That i actually do. Adore is dislike dylan versus east. Dillon thing that you know that begins to happen for the for the transformation of the the final act of the show just something. That's where my head wandered to as talked about like what could the consequences for rebecca. Because ted i take him at face value is good. You know he's he's he's good with rebecca. That doesn't mean that everybody's going to be good if they find out more about what happened here well and even if they don't. The mir consequence of relegation can caused such an uproar that rebecca's actions will certainly be called into judgment. And she'll face all the sexism that will be inherent in all of that. She's already facing she'll face all of that backlash that won't or can't be easy from a mental health standpoint. The question becomes. How much will she wanna put up with. Does she want to buy into this project to do for the better. We're gonna explore all these things in season two for sure. But i very realistically if richmond. Afc got her fc. Richmond got relegated like there would be significant focus put on her actions that led to this. They were mid table..

"I know this is kind of kind of weird. I know i might be risking my job like making this awkward for you having to tell me no so if you don't want to use me in this way or you're not interested. Let's not even talk about it. You don't have to respond. You can just pretend. I never set you this but here is my shot. I think i understand roy. Can't i think i can be roy. Can't and then at like three in the morning. He got an email back like okay. This is really good we need to. We need to maybe talk about this. And the rest history. Like he'd be amr can so he bet on himself and pushed himself. Forward is really. Can't he loved that he's a comedian and he's a comedic performer. So this is not something that is out of his wheelhouse but it's something that he really pushed forward to do. So i really like seeing that. And i love seeing again i love the sensitivity that emerges with roy cat and i do know that that is that is the connection between he and keely on that level a really good example of that in this episode tan lines. Where ted is talking to michelle and they're talking about like the end of their relationship in it's raining out and ted so upset and all the songs playing the mumford and sons love love forever. Whatever it's called and all of that is happening. And ted is basically saying like i remember back to when we first met we were just those two people in that parking lot and then we smash cut to roy and keely in a parking lot and roy coming up to killian talking to him and it's the end of one relationship and it's the beginning of another all being played at the in against this backdrop of this very emotional song in these very emotional moments. It's just really good. Did i do something wrong. He snuck up on a woman in a parking lot in the middle of the night. I do something wrong. Royce really worried so it's good like it's just so so good this episode. The endevour specialty is so emotional. It definitely gets me every single time. Maybe it's that damn mumford. And his sons josh. Mumford is large adults on you have cancelled and we will talk about episode. Six is two aces. Two aces is where we going. We're just past the halfway mark. It is this is really the this is. This is a really big jamie tart episode especially before he kind of like goes away for awhile literally because he has been. He is returned to manchester city. Who had loaned jamie to. Afc richmond for the season is what i have to be reading on the wikipedia page right now in order to pretend like i understand what any of that means and yeah i mean it is. It's something that doesn't really happen in sports. It happens so just like our football. Because it's not like this isn't like a like a triple a situation. This is like minors two majors. Like what is this. So you're you're right to bring up minor league sports because i think that is the way that that's the lens through which you might be able to understand this a little better first of all. I guess we can just do this right here. Do you understand how relegation works you get promotion and relegation generally vaguely so they did so poorly in the season that they have been busted down to like a shittier league yes actively and so they can they can Bootstrap themselves back to being where they were.
