I've been a fan of clutch since ninety two. You've got more than once this week in a in a rare quirk of events. I'm rolling through my clutch. T shirts really so yeah. I wore one last night and this is day two of my clutch t shirt. They're they're different shirts same shirt. I don't care But this one is actually from one of their online concerts. they did during the covid Okay so but a clutch. did that. Song escaped from the prison. When i know well and we know that certain talk show host. That i'm not gonna name use that in his theme for quite some time and It really is. It's one of those songs. That after i woke up from the fog of state ism that i went back and listen to and it had new meaning for me like it was a fun song. I heard it and i thought oh. Yeah that's cool. Therefore you could get crypto from the from the accounting. You're not allowed to talk. I don't think i could not under the l. Then he couldn't touch it. That's true that's true. Can't do anything with crypto according to these stupid bail conditions. All right so. I did bring in a little bit of show prep. Today i happened upon this article from one of my contacts on social media. This is from aero magazine dot com. Now it's a lengthy article so i'm going to skip the first five paragraphs herself because it just gives an intro to some of the reasons that they're writing this particular article it's more of a an editorial commentary but i'm going to skip into the real meat of it and that is what if sars cova to leaked from a lab. What if there are long term effects of milan. Vaccines what if ivermectin is a safe and effective prophylaxis against and treatment four kovic nineteen unlike the questions that began this essay. The answers to these questions are not yet resolved but the very posing of them has been considered again beyond the pale unacceptable in polite company outside the overton window medical misinformation on youtube. Yes that's a strike and those of us who asked them throughout twenty twenty and well into twenty twenty one have been called conspiracy theorists and worse. Our intentions have been question. We have been told to keep quiet. Some have self censored and others have been brought to heel by big tech the powers that be at google for instance had an official policy as of may twenty twenty one which includes this line. Youtube doesn't allow content. That spreads medical misinformation that contradicts local health authorities or the world health organization's medical information about covid nineteen so to expand upon your thoughts One what about win they put out information that contradicts their own statements. Because they've done that repeatedly and they're going to continue to do so because well i mean even if they were the most righteous of organizations they're staffed by human beings and they're fallible and they're gonna make mistakes because that's just what humans do. Yeah it's just ridiculous. The idea that only one medical opinion is the acceptable medical opinion. You can have another doctor. Say a different thing. 'cause second opinion that wouldn't be scientific. My doctor has a different opinion about all this. But that's according to youtube medical misinformation so therefore strike. Yeah this policy. Fundamentally misunderstands science local health authorities and the. Who can be wrong as can we. All being wrong is no crime. Shutting down the voices of those who question your conclusions while not criminal is anti-cyclical to science. That's true. I thought this was a new virus that we didn't know things about and i mean. Correct me if i'm wrong. But when i don't know things about a thing that i really want to know things about i get lots of different perspectives. Lots of different opinions. And then i kind of shake them together and see what holds together and what falls apart that used to be like the real benefit of the internet is you could easily go and get different opinions and it seems like in the last year that whole concept tests dissolved into no. There's only this one official opinion. Big tech has adopted anointed. The cdc or the who or whoever as the officials of fascist flow of information like to find the differing opinions. You have to get off of the websites and apps that are controlled by so-called big tech whereas and this was kind of on its way out before covid right. We saw google purchase youtube youtube. Used to be fantastic. Now it's a piece of crap that was more than a decade ago. Sure but his point. But that's what i'm saying it's ban sort of on this decline and then cova kicks in the you know all the lockdowns and stuff kicks in the cdc kicks in the w. h. o. Pipes up and they all get to work together with these big tech companies because they're all chummy now because they're billionaires and trillionaires and all that kind of stuff and they're donating to the campaigns for these politicians and so now we have fascist big tech in many many cases not just donating to the campaigns. We saw during the barack obama administration now again During the biden administration where big tech administrator types big tech ceo types are actually on the government boards. They're actually they actually have been become dan and become part of the state. because they're that connected. Your biden is shocked to the gills with With these tech giant people right and one of the things that i think is really driving. A lot of this is that we've seen government fail it everything we've seen the the corporate media get caught in lie after lie after lie after lie frequently disastrously putting us into war and win. This is happening. I mean people get scared and uncertain and when they are uncertain they cling to know. There must be only one narrative we have to have solidarity no matter what the cost even if that cost is truth and lives. The telephone number is six zero three two eight three six one six zero if you want to try and get your voice on this program. It's the saturday night. Version of free. Talk live three is coming up next.

"If you're ever, if you're anywhere near Beverly, you'll find it don't let what happened to Errol happen to you. Because Errol saw the first time it has devoted Athas life to telling stories. There's some great stories we talked about Robert Gibbons, this larger than life character who built the place after he left sold it, what happened to it. Well, for time, the before he sold it actually, the Chicago, female college secondary school for girls was established by fair and. It was there for a couple years, and they prepare these young girls for, for college actually, a college preparatory course for the they said the higher colleges, including the university of Chicago. And after they were there than the Burnett family lived in the castle, and Jaber Bieber debt wasn't inventor. He also worked with cars at the time, the, the cause are racist. Right. Is involved in car races. In fact, he he used the gasoline powered car, but at the time there were the steam driven cars, and the electric cars as well. So, and he and his wife Jessie, they were in a major race nineteen o one and they won that race from Chicago to Joliet in their division. So it was a pretty exciting time for them. They did come into the possession of the church. How did that happen? Well givens wanted to sell the castle the church itself. The church of bought in. At the end of nineteen forty one was nineteen forty two what happened was? There was this. One of the church leaders was living in the Beverly Morgan park community, and she was trying to have services in her home, because the church at that time was in Inglewood and went under various names, but she was able to get the services in our home and one day she was with the minister and his wife. They were driving down Longwood drive, and they looked up. They thought the castle and somebody said, well, gee, I think that would make a fine church and. And she said, oh, yeah. Well, I understand is for sale, and they actually stopped the car walked to the side door, or the front door, actually, I'm one of them to knocked on it and. History. It holds not only a deer place in the hearts of people who grew up and still live in that neighborhood or visit friends in that neighbor. It holds a fascination for, I think the larger city because open house Chicago, which is a. Event that during which many buildings that are not open to the public do open to the public, and you see long lines in front of places like what used to be the Tribune tower. What happened during last year's open Chicago down there. Well, there were about three thousand people who walked through that castle. On that weekend. And that's an amazing number. That was the second most attended facility outside the downtown area while I'm not surprised. So, because it really fascinated fascinates people Roberta as you were talking earlier about having now is, as one means fund raising two of having weekly tours. To start third Sunday each month. How did people discover that? And what's website for people who want to start exploring your taskforce efforts. So if people, we have many forms of ways they can find us but so the website is givens Beverly castle dot org, and it's important that we know it's. G. I. V. I. N. S. And Google will try to tell you, it should be ES, but it's not if you prefer Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. We are givens castle on author places, and there's donation links on the website and Facebook, we would appreciate all donations. And if any major donors wanna come our way, I am available at all times to talk. Yeah. No, they really should because I as I said before I don't mean to toss around eight hundred thousand not much when a guy like Ken Griffin, illinois's richest guide buys apartment in New York for, you know, the two hundred eighty million dollars, eight hundred thousand dollars is not seem like a hell of a lot of money to save a unique building. There are public spaces there has the church with the success of John Devon's. Occasional concerts, there in these tours are probably going to do this to I have the feeling that both can tell me that there may in the future, be way for this building to be shared with more of Chicago, actually, we think of it as a community space. Anyway. We offer rentals of the castle. They can rent we have actually two floors that are rentable. The first floor is kind of a meeting space or a ceremony space, and then the upstairs is can be like a banquet hall, and we've got a full service kitchen. So it is available for community is while that could be that could also after this initial money in the renovations done. That's an ongoing source of revenue that can be used to patch. There's. Era magazine where can people buy your book? I know they can get it at the live the book, great bookstore in the Newberry library. Well, the bookies and Beverly has a special deal. It's also available on the internet through Amazon. You can Sam on, I know book sellers, don't like it. But they're people there are some people who can't leave their own. I mean that's another thing. I certainly not recommending. You buy everything from Amazon, but it is a fascinating book and things to our mutual friend Linda Lamberty to. It's it is. So the research in here is so sound it really is in the, the illustrations, remarkable. When this, this cat, I would love this givens guy when he he went to Europe. He would write stories for the magazine for the newspapers as if he was, you know, a travel writer. Right. It was it was very funny. I'm in either. He wrote a bell. When he lives in one this would be eighteen ninety two writes about the elevators there and say, they're, they're just not like the elevators, we have the bell bellboy runs up with your with your luggage up the stairs, and you're in the elevator he's already up there with the luggage already in your room is already lit the candles by the time you get there. But of course it was even worse at the food, Fiji museum in Florence when givens visited the that is them. Evidently, they didn't even have electric elevators. They, they had four people running the elevator with weights. So that when. Start something like that. Now. Health club in Chicago. They would take weights off the bigger. Heavier, the person was so when giving. He was a pretty big man. You know quite a bit. And they would say this. Fateh man take off weights thanking throw your shoes out there. I reverted Chalmers and aero magazine, and you to Linda over there, shied, Linda, I admire your efforts to do this, and I'm really pleased that you're sort of in a way halfway home. And if you start because that's. And I'm sure that there are other, you know, they can meet you said something about the Beverly Bank, and there other. It. Just I, I'd frankly, I'm not from Beverley, I keep frankly, can't imagine that corner without that Gasol actually Bapayev who is in support of our, our, our restoration and helps us. They actually have a little banner on their weekly emails that say no castle on the hill unthinkable. Is that right? Good good Beverly area planning association. Yeah. They have a weekly newsletter called the village area. It's an amazing. It's an amazing. I think. Neighborhood Beverly and the surrounding where did also when you go down to the church, even if you go down to just look Vicki similar Ling owns a fascinating wonderful gallery, about half a block, east of the castle called the heritage gallery where if you wanna piece of Beverly her father Jackson ruling was a great artist to own. Also fascinating guy and us, we'd heart and did he did watercolors and drawings and sketches of virtually every building in Beverley in every home if you ever invited to a home in Beverly and you don't see Jack similarly on the wall. You're in the wrong place. Really, you're in the wrong place. Do they know they used to be a nice restaurant? Cafe one three is gone. Now. It's gone. They went out. Yeah. See, that's are a lot of bars, bars and restaurants on western avenue, not far from the castle, where you.
