"Families party, lots of your state Senate colleagues, including state Senate majority leader understood cousins and deputy leader Michael Gennaro who runs the Senate campaign arm many others I won't list controller Brad lander and a whole lot of labor unions, not all, but a whole lot, including 1199 and the nurses and UFT and others. But your opponent add a very big groundswell. That was even beyond a send a member denotes and maybe some people you've had some real personal rivalries with. We've mentioned that Michelin camillo was close with The Bronx Democratic Party and they were planning to support her in a different race and then the lines were shifting and they stuck with her. Representative Adriano espa, Richie Torres as well, assemblies people, Carl hasty. And others, mayor Eric Adams, borough president, Vanessa Gibson. Was this about they're all sort of on one club. And so there was sort of no relationship there that was really going to work with you. How do you sort of explain that many prominent elected officials going against you in your own party in this primary? That's something you're going to have to ask them. What I want to linger on is the folks that I'm incredibly proud to have received support from. First of all, most importantly, my constituency folks who would be elected me. But certainly folks in labor, whether you mentioned 11 9 9 nurses, TW, CWA, RWDSU, HTC, certainly the working families party. I mean, I could go on and these are folks who I work with very closely over the last 11 years. And recognize, again, this all has to be about the work. This is about the work that. And that is what I want to focus on. And for me, for me, it's like that's the reason why they chose to support to support her. That's something you're going to have to ask them. But ultimately, for me, it's about the work even with the folks who are because I know in particular, there were a few there were a few unions who went with her, and they made that decision. That's on them. I still look forward to working with them next year when I will be back in the Senate. So that's what I will continue to focus on. One of the things that you get lauded for a lot is independence.

"That can and I were talking about such as Adriano, or into tantra, these non dual traditions, they've kind of formalized that in a sense where, you know, there's actual practices you're doing every minute. I mean there's practices for eating, you know, which might be something akin to just praying before you eat something that we would recognize from Midwestern American culture, but then other weird stuff like praying when you go to the bathroom and you know, praying when you're beginning a trip, and it's not praying always, sometimes it's doing some kind of big complex ritual. It's much more built in methods of attempting to contact that sacredness of every moment even the very mundane moments. For us, in the modern west, it's probably not going to look like that because unless we create each one of those for ourselves, you know, we don't have ready made rituals for all those things, but on the other hand, that doesn't impede the direct seeing of that digging into or bathing in or saturation with this sacredness that's available in every moment. Yeah, I think one of the questions I've become increasingly really focused on and really working on in my mind and in the programs that we offer is how do we take that insight and awakening that we're having while we meditate, and how do we infuse it through more of the moments of our lives, and I agree with what you're saying about in certain cultures or traditions, it sort of done for you the danger as you just start going through the motions, but there is a plan and a well thought out structure to life that makes it more likely that's going to happen. I feel like that's missing to a large degree in so many people's practice in our current world..

I'm not gonna say the person's name they s- they told me they're a painter and they said i said you know in your studio how. How many of your works are successes. How many are not you know what they were like. A hundred percent. Every painting i paint i sell and i'm like are you fucking kidding me. Like i'm. I'm lucky if i got forty percent but there are some people everything that they make and everybody tells them. How long do they believe in time will tell because when you look historically at what is survived. How much actually survives. An instagram doesn't mean to say it's going to survive. I hope not excellent. Let me there's a lot of beautiful works being presented worldwide. But there's a lot of. I feel like there's a higher quantity of mediocre work and not as much sort of high quality high-calibre work because you know every august you back does in be great was that they made in the not so great but into some. That's actually not good tool. Shouldn't even be in the appendix of the cash risen. Ami prospect would be horrified. What's in the appendix. He you destroy things against the wall just comes famous. "It doesn't even make that much that interesting so i got to put like five. I could probably put three hundred dollars on a game make interesting but definitely five hundred dollars but anyone who's gambled those you could lose so if you're five hundred dollars on a game you play three or four of those all of a sudden you're to k. And the whole so. I got to be careful with my gambling. I pick and choose as i get older. I actually just been gambling on golf. Because i can bet less and win more in football to win five hundred dollars. You typically get a five hundred dollars right. Maybe if you bet a big underdog you might get two to one but the big underdog for reason probably not going to win so you probably don't wanna place those bets house looking the over under actually think. That's the worst bet going 'cause if you're going to win any substantial amount of money let's say you're gonna play five hundred dollars on the falcons under which is even what's in there under a seven and a half so i got to get five hundred dollars september tenth or fifth or whatever place before the season. I don't get that money back 'til january whatever first or second whatever the last week seventeen ins so i'm out five hundred dollars for four and a half months at least if i bet on a game or i bet on the super bowl odds adriano to win a division. I get way better off. It's three four to one. So i can four x by money. Well i'm bending over under the are awful for example. If i wanted to say i think john gruden's going to be a disaster this year. The raiders under is seven the over under seven which. I'd probably take the over. I think they'll be eight nine wins. But let's say. I wanted to take the under. It's minus one forty five or excuse me the excuse me. the over. seven is minus one forty-five meaning. If i wanted to win a thousand dollars. i'd have to bet fourteen hundred and fifty dollars. So i have to bet that in september in wait until january to find out if i win or loose now obviously if it goes well or bad you'll know before then but still you don't get paid out until the seasons as a gambler. I and listen over under something we all talk about and they are fun to talk about just from a pure wind law standpoint but from an actual gambling standpoint. Terrible in. let's say let's say you're going to bet fifty dollars over under which might be a lot of money to someone. You have to wait for months for fifty bucks. That seems insane. You might as well just put fifty dollars on a game. You like we find out if you win or lose. I don't know by the end of the weekend. So this these over unders if you play it. Fire me a dm are they. Are they that fun. Like is actually easier than i think. Because i've really looked at heart this week and i don't find it appealing at all to show you how easy it is to file a claim with geico. We hired a soap opera.

I can't remember the specifics of the fact, would you favor the death penalty Chicago as well, not really, I'm against death penalty so I'm not. Sorry, I'm not going to do weird like that with you, but yes, I am stand up for my wife. That's the answer your question. No, but I'm saying so, why didn't Cruise? Why is he kissing his ass? The the reason is he he wants to be president of the United States. Thousands E, Graham wanted to be re-elected and Marco Rubio lives and Nightmares nightmares. About one of Trump's children running against him for the Senate Marco Rubio. Already lost the truck off. Okay. The only person who ever defeated them up until now was Donald Trump and he's going to have to run against one of his kids. This is the fear that that haunts him, you know, frankly Rubio would much rather be wrong, it's me then want to Trump's kids and and yet could happen. So what does he do? He tries to preempt that by ostentatiously kissing the ring or some other body part? I don't really wage, but whatever it is, whatever it is, you know, that's, that's how they operate. And to let them know that the recovery of our country is a stage and thousands of jobs, if not millions of jobs, are underlined, and people need to get to back to work and pretty soon. You know, the kind of help that would be giving the American people off because there's now forever and then people will need to get back to work and jobs need to be there and what better than a transportation infrastructure bill that will help everybody across the country. Every state wage Has great Transportation infrastructure needs, but we also need Broadband. We also need to repair our housing stock. We also need to take a look at our schools and our hospitals, so Transportation infrastructure is not just roll Bridges and tunnels. It entails the full gamut of things and it will create hundreds of thousands of jobs for the American people and our folks across the United States that are willing to work. And people are willing to work. They just want a shot at a job that will provide good wages. So they could provide for their families. They could have a good bow plants, they could provide for their children, put up through school. So this is important that we do this and I think two people, two people, two lonely, people function. Josh should not get underway, no, I agree with you wholeheartedly and really I have to ask your Congressman. This is the thing that really irritates me. We're seeing fourteen at a twenty-two States now dead. Past these incredibly racist, voter suppression laws and, you know, and yet we have HR one which would help wage, you know, us have equality in voting and that is being held up. I mean good, I'm sorry. Hundred pieces of legislation have been introduced in States across the country, to suppress voting. It is in state houses across the country. It is the biggest effort to suppress voting since reconstruction, since reconstruction, right after the Civil War. And so this is, you know, it's just unbelievable that even after reconstruction, even after Jim Crow, you know, which still have folks using.

Because all the kids know that Oscar's a genius and I'm like chip off the old block. But yeah, he is all straight A's already taking college classes, my daughter's going to graduate with two majors from college cuz she was valedictorian in Calabasas High School, which is a very affluent school, which is a one of the greatest school programs in California in Calabasas. So, I'll brag, she got full scholarships from b u and University of Michigan, and UCSB. And, and so she's going pretty much to college for free. And even though I put away figures in college fund, she's real, she's not really using much of it. So,.

A Love Letter to Short Men
"DOT COM and at her website Carlin Betcha. Dot Com and here is a love letter to short men. Your height is not an issue unless you make it one. It's one of the most common openers I see on dating apps a man's height. It's usually the first thing men list and sometimes height is the only thing listed. Yep just height nothing else as if those two numbers measured in feet and inches contain multitudes. I understand why it happens. We are a society obsessed with looks we treat beauty and both genders as a currency attractive people make more money are viewed as more agreeable and somehow more valuable. This is part of the halo effect, a psychology term where we assign one single trait beauty to other characteristics kindness. Personally I have never seen a woman who cares about height in fact, I find short men hot, not all of them but many. Let. Me Tell you a not hot short man's story. I recently wanted to date with a five foot five inch guy within fifteen minutes of our meeting. He ass is my height a problem. It was not until he mentioned it. I had not even looked at the height he listed on his profile. I then spent the next twenty minutes assuaging his fragile ego and explaining why many women like short men it was exhausting at one point I think he read the weariness in my slumped shoulders and tried to self correct. I'm only asking because you're right about love and sex. Sure if you went on a date with a dermatologist, would you ask her to examine the fungus between your toes? I didn't say that, but I wanted to my sarcasm is a feral beast. Then, there are the many many short guys who lie about their height. You know who you are. I once went on a date with a guy claiming to be five foot eight inches. He was five foot four inches. That's a four inch lie. If we're keeping track I wore three inch heels for that date that put me at five feet eight inches. Greeted him with a hug. This was pre pandemic days his head landed on my chest. Awkward. For most women height is not a deal breaker but lying is So. Here it is short men the painful truth your height is not the Lady Boehner killer. You think it is it your lack of confidence that makes women's ovaries shrivel up and never want to go on another date again, I have dated a lot of sexy short men and they all had one thing in common nothing to prove when Tom Cruise five foot seven inches was sexiest man alive multiple times. Did anyone add a footnote sexy for a short Guy Hell? No. When Bruno Mars five, foot five inches shakes what his momma gave him are women getting out there measuring. Sticks Adriano. then. There's Napoleon. Napoleon. Never had complex about his height nor was he even really that short you can feel his confidence oozing out of the impatient love letters. He wrote to Josephine one read a kiss on your heart and one much lower down much lower. Nowhere in that letter, will you find a postscript saying unless my height makes you not in the mood? Yet Napoleon somehow got his name attached to the height inferiority complex known as the Napoleon. Complex. The Napoleon Complex states that short men tend to be more aggressive lie more and try to compensate for their short stature by being exceptionally cruel. But researchers found the opposite to be true. One study from Nyu phone short men are thirty two percent less likely to divorce than tolman. The study also found women married to short men reported greater happiness and short men did more housework than tolman. Yes. There is a correlation between happiness and a freshly floor. Clearly short men are doing something, right? I pulled over twenty of my most dateable girlfriends for this article I asked the same question. Are you attracted to short men most had similar answer? It depends on the guy that's a nice way of saying that is not the package. It's the meat inside. So

Talk Nerdy to Me
Daily Nerd Brief
"To start with comic books today. The Batman damned. Number one, the infamous bat, penis, comic book. They are ready went in like I told you before and got rid of all the digital versions. They got rid of all the penis in there. And they said when they do a reprint of number one, they were going to take it out of that. Also new development, there will not be a reprint of number one. So if you didn't pick up Batman damned, number one, the one with the Pena Senate, you're out of luck. You won't get a physical copy branded. You have to get third party somewhere in last. I checked on EBay. They're going anywhere from sixty bucks to almost two hundred raw. If you have it signed and slab at that number jumps up to close to five hundred. If you got Lieber mayo or the the writer to sign Brian as rela believes wrote it, then yeah, that that thing is just going to skyrocket and price. Now they've announced they're not going to reprint number one. So if you were lucky enough to get a number one. Hold onto it and also number two, they've already now they're pushing the date. It's going to be late no word on why. Maybe there was something in there. They wanna go back and check all the graphics again since that one slipped through, but I only show you picture of what the cover for number twos and look like it's a beautiful cover, got Harley Quinn with the sugar skull, looking paint on. A typical Harley Quinn. Great gravity. I, if you read the first one, the interior graphics artwork is just amazing. That was Mr. Bermejo again. So yeah, I would definitely. I think this is going to be a series to collect as the first one under the DC's black label, which is there more. I don't wanna say a dull thing that makes you think porn, but it's the more. Adult type topics like this one you know starts right off with the joker being dead. So, yeah, pick up the damned number two when it comes out because who knows what's going to happen in that one, if as good as number one, it'll be another collectible. I told you yesterday, Mr. Sean Murphy announced he had some kind of secret plans for aprio. If you know Austrial he's kinda like the the do gooder, Batman. He's this dude are here with the big sword air by was guessing it has something to do with his white Knight series. He's gonna be making end there right bat, Batman, curse of the white Knight is going to have joker and Adriano kind of team up. They're going to expose something in batmans past Bruce Wayne's pass or try to take down Gotham. Because it's the joker, why not and just wants to punish all evil. So he's on board for that. This is coming out and twenty nineteen. We don't know. And he's like I said, no specifics on the month or how many issues will be in this, but it looks to be another good series by Mr. Sean Murphy. So if you're a fan of Adriano and a fan of the joker, you'll get CD's guys team up and take on the Batman, my money's own Batman. If you read dark nights metal and obviously a lot of you dig sold really well. You'll recognize this carriage right here, the Batman who laughs. He's one of the nightmare, Batman. He's the Batman that was kind of merged across over with joker who was exposed to this joker, toxic venom, and he basically became his version of the joker. He survived medal the final battle, they had their champions mountain. He actually made it out. He has plans to take over the DC universe. And if you've been reading Justice league, you found out, you know, lex Luther, or you will be finding out when it comes out likes. Luther kind of had him chained up in the hall of the legion of doom there, but he was there willingly. He could have escaped anytime he, he proved that the lex, he's getting his own. Like I said, title get Bama who laughs number one, he's there with all his little demon, rob goblins,
